every episode i fall more in love with diego’s acting, the facial expressions alone are so good

thinking about how maarva sped up her own death specifically for the rebellion.

that one scene that shows that she stopped taking her meds, and dedra saying "she's too old and frail" and how they stressed that maarva was ready to do anything for the rebellion at the end of her life.

and she knew cassian would return for her funeral. and she knew that cassian would use the opportunity to rescue bix if he got the chance.

and she knew that ferrix would be just as ready to fight as she was, all they needed was one spark, and she knew her speech would ignite it. also i think she did most of it in a desperate hope that she could help bix.

Yeah yk what I think the star wars fandom is kinda just racist because all of the characters of color are underrated as hell, if not downright hated. Bail Organa, Saw Gerrera, Steela Gerrara, Landon Calrissian, Poe Dameron, Finn, Mace Windu, Cassian Andor, Bix Caleen, I can keep going. I'm not even going to MENTION the acloyte because we ALL know how much you hated that.

like imagine: Jyn gets an opportunity for a fresh start when she gets a new job in a new city. before her first day, she goes out to a bar to celebrate, and ends up meeting and hooking up with Cassian. neither intend it to be anything more but when Jyn arrives at her new job on her first day.... one of her co-workers is no other than Cassian Andor

a tragically underrated cinema Hands moment is the way that cassian andor digs his hand into the back of jyn erso’s jacket in their final living seconds in rogue one in a way that can be described as both incredibly tight and tender... just the way his hand tightens on the material of that jacket the humanity and closeness being found there in those final few seconds....

hello!!! 💜 ty for the ask!! 😊 i tried to just go with my first instincts, otherwise i’d be here all day thinking about this lol. also i'm going to cheat and do top 5 movie moments and top 5 tv moments 🤪

top 5 movie sw movie moments:

binary sunset. i mean, how could it not be a favorite moment? the music, luke's face as he looks out at the twin suns setting. that's cinema babey!!

rey using the force to grab anakin/luke's lightsaber out of the snow in TFA. i got full-body chills the first time i saw that.

anakin vs obi wan fight in ROTS. what can i say, it's the best lightsaber fight in the whole saga and it's exhilarating to watch! plus it's bookended by two of the most heartbreaking scenes, and i just love the tragedy lol

jyn and cassian "your father would have been proud" final scene on the scarif beach. like it's.... yeah 😭 the rebellion is about sacrifice but there's still hope and the MUSIC. ahhhhh

leia rescuing han from the carbonite. i think the "who are you?" "someone who loves you" exchange is underrated and i just love the beginning of rotj a lot and this is one of my fave parts <3

top 5 tv moments:

does all of rebels count as a favorite moment? asfsdflsjkl

but seriously, kanan's "i'm about to let everyone in on the secret" jedi reveal moment in the pilot. cheering screaming crying about it, instantly made me fall in love with him

ezra looking up at the vent in the rebels finale, quietly saying "one last time" and well, iykyk. it makes me cry like a baby every time lol. it's a subtle moment, but so impactful!

maul’s speech to ahsoka about the republic falling, combined with his “let me go, let me die! you don’t know what you’re doing! we’re all going to burn, we’re all going to die!” in the phantom apprentice. Again, full body chills, and i so badly wish i could watch that ep for the first time again.

when vader showed up in the village in ep3 of the kenobi show. if i could bottle that emotion, the absolute RUSH i got seeing hayden vader properly again, i’d never have to drink caffeine again lmao

there are so many andor moments i could choose from, but i’m going to go with flying through the eye in ep6. just the way the eye looked in general, they did such an incredible job with that. that scene was just the perfect combo of awe-inspiring, edge-of-your-seat terrifying but exciting, plus nemik’s “climb!” paralleling k2’s 😭 the visuals have stuck with me since i watched that ep

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?

Biting my nails nervously at this one because I am currently in Andor brain and Andor brain is not AU-inclined.

Actually I'mma shoutout this fic by @wizardfvcker which is a gorgeous universe-just-slightly-to-the-left Cassian/Luthen AU that makes me want an entire AU series of mostly-still-Andor but Luthen runs different types of shops LOL. Think of it Spellhaus in flames - flower shop Luthen (see fic linked above). Exotic pet shop Luthen. idk tattoo parlor Luthen. So much potential. XD

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?

The shameless answer to this I never shut up about is The Thing Itself which is a Cassian background fic that I like to imagine is a very rewarding read for people who know Andor like the back of their hand. Want to dig into all those little things Luthen says to and knows about Cassian in eps 3&4? The pitch Luthen gives Vel about the languages he speaks? Cassian learning to walk in like he belongs? A deeper dive on "we've always said Fest?" and the middle name Jeron? Do we maybe even have the audacity to add some depth to Cassian losing it and killing Skeen? All of this and more, it is my over-the-top pluck at every available thread baby. With a shorter one shot companion fic that more explicitly lays out some of the subtler ties. ;)

Tether just got chapter 18 the other day so 19 and the Dantooine evacuation is on deck but not yet started. Vague notions for a Clarity of Purpose sequel bringing Cassian, Melshi, K2SO, and Draven back together in undoubtedly dramatic fashion. A Cassian&Kleya perhaps Cassian/Kleya rarepair venture tentatively titled All In that I do actually have something to share from, let's see...

Kleya puts on a benign smile. The look in Luthen’s eye suggests he’s well-enough aware of the tongue-lashing awaiting him at the first optimal moment, but this is not that. Their disagreements and debates never extend beyond themselves; a united front, always, for any who might seek to exploit the faintest hairline fracture.

“You must be Cassian.”

Andor’s skittering gaze settles itself on hers for a few seconds before continuing its sweep about the room. “You must be more surprised than that.”

She throws a considering glance between him and Luthen. “He went looking, and it rather seems he’s found you.”

aahhh thank you! 💙 let's see:

keep whatever it is (that's compelling you on); the matrix (series), neo/trinity, rated T, 2196 words. this was published in september 2021, before the matrix resurrections came out, but this was my take on neo and trinity finding each other again in the matrix after their (apparent) deaths in the matrix revolutions. resurrections had some ideas like this, and others that were different, but i'm really very fond of this story because it was one i'd carried in my head for many years before i had the courage/thought i had the ability to actually carry it out, and those films, as well as those characters, specifically, are very near and dear to my heart.

2. slipped away into a moment in time ('cause it was never mine); marvel comics, gamora/richard rider, rated T, 1931 words. honestly this ship is very underrated, so that's definitely a reason why this one is less trod than my other comics fics, but i love them and it was both satisfying and painful to weave through these little snapshots of their history.

3. standing at a broken altar (asking if we feel relief); daredevil tv/moon knight show fusion, matt murdock/marc spector, rated E, 5013 words. that time i took a kinktober prompt from a friend for a rarepair and i turned it into a character study about trauma, grief, and faith, as well as finding connection in the most unexpected places. it was the first time i'd ever written either of those characters, but i really think this fic turned out very well.

4. why don't you close your eyes and reinvent me; the mandalorian, bo-katan kryze/the armorer, rated M, 1110 words. short, but whatever shit i was on that day was some magical writing energy. it was the lesbianism. i love lesbians.

5. here's hoping we collide; andor/rogue one, jyn erso/cassian andor, rated M, 5101 words. i actually really like a lot of the rebelcaptain stuff i've written this year — really in full force taking advantage of my growth in my skills as a writer to finally start writing a lot of the things i wanted to write for them years ago but didn't feel like i had the skill to pull off — but this one has a special place for me for just... being really fun to write, and going a lot of places i wasn't even expecting.

(Also…look at the Reyrose hint and the nod to Poe as Rey’s friend! The whole oneshot has them and Finn as a quartet, and Finnpoe is hinted too)

Not deadweight. Never. It was who he was, it was his language, it was his culture. He whispered it to himself in the dark when he could, but he knew only as much as a six-year-old could, and with as much as he spoke Basic…with as much as his days became filled with rebellion and imprisonment and death…

This fic was incredibly personal to write for me. I have mixed feelings on Maarva Andor as a character, but I wanted to explore Cassian’s struggle to assimilate and how Maarva and Clem both helped in their own ways. As a child of immigrants, I wanted to show what that’s like for some of our parents, how difficult that can be*. And this paragraph in particular…trying to keep a language and culture alive when so many forces seem determined to stamp it out? OUCH

*Though ofc Cassian’s situation is heartbreakingly different from my parents’
