Perhaps not relevant to the majority of my LA-based followers, but the article above written by my ol' pal Jordan St. John really solidifies the viewpoint I shared last week regarding the cask scene in Ontario, and how it really built the industry there. It certainly built my own understanding and love of craft beer.

We headed up to Toronto on a whim last Sunday for the 9th annual Cask Days event. If I thought I enjoyed craft beer before, my experience was heightened ten-fold by this event - these were without a doubt some of the best beers I've ever come into contact with, and in the perfect environment at Evergreen Brickworks. We enjoyed brews from about 20 different microbreweries, and food from Hogtown Charcuterie and Parts & Labour when we needed a break from sipping half-pints... Both places are now on my must-visit list for the next time we head up to the city. On top of the unreal food and drink, I also loved the social aspect of the event (I wrote about it here in my PR blog.) Here's to wishing every day was Cask Day... We'll definitely be back next time!
