He handed over the box of jewellery to the woman with a slight smile. "You do realize it is impossible for me to grey right? My hair is white, I'd be concerned if it went darker." He let out a soft chuckle. "As for the glowing part perhaps it's because I'm radiating happiness from seeing you, Princess."
"A gift? Give it here, then!" Yes, she was teasing NOW THAT THERE'S A GIFT INVOLVED. "Let's see if your hair has indeed turned gray or it's just my eyes adjusting to the shine---the fluorescent makes it look like it's glowing."

Help decide what work you want me to post next
I have a lot of drafts in my documents. But I told myself that I wouldn't post any more multichapter fics until they were done so you wouldn't have to wait months for me to update because life happened. So, I thought I would give you guys some options of which ones you might want to see the light of day sooner.
These options are ones that are closer to being completed, this is not all of my drafts, just the ones I can conceivably finish sooner (theoretically). Some of these are multi-chapter fics, some are one, maybe two shots.

"Oh? I'm flattered you are worried about my well-being, but you are always welcome to call or ask for me, Ariana, I would drop everything if you asked." He does wonder slightly if it's due to his nature and personality that she is keeping tabs on him to make sure he isn't crossing them
"It's been a while my dear, I was starting to wonder if you had forgotten me?" -Cashmir
"I like how you think I don't get regular updates on you." She liked to keep track of the important people in Rocket, especially him. Well, it wasn't as if they know they're being watched.

Mastering the Art of Time Management in the Workplace
Time is a crucial resource for everyone, especially in the fast-paced world of the modern workplace. With a multitude of tasks, meetings, and deadlines constantly vying for your attention, mastering the art of time management is essential for success and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Learn more about effective strategies to help you optimize your time and productivity in the workplace.
Prioritize Your Tasks
One of the most important principles of time management is prioritization. Not all tasks are created equal, so itâs essential to identify which ones are most important and require your immediate attention. You can use techniques like the Eisenhower Matrix, which categorizes tasks into four quadrants: urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, and neither urgent nor important. Focusing on urgent and important tasks should be your top priority.
Set Clear Goals
Setting clear, specific goals is crucial for effective time management. When you have a clear understanding of what you need to achieve, it becomes easier to allocate your time and resources accordingly. Break down large goals into smaller steps that are more manageable, and establish deadlines for each. This will help you stay on track and motivated.
Create a To-Do List
A to-do list is a powerful tool for managing your time. Each day, create a list of tasks you need to complete, starting with the most critical ones. As you finish each task, check it off the list. This not only provides a sense of accomplishment but also ensures that you donât overlook any important responsibilities.
Time Blocking
Time blocking involves scheduling specific blocks of time for different tasks or activities. By allocating dedicated time slots to important tasks, you can minimize distractions and stay focused. Be realistic about how long each task will take, and stick to your schedule as closely as possible.
Learn to Say No
In the workplace, you may encounter numerous requests and distractions that can derail your productivity. Itâs essential to learn to say no when necessary. Politely declining tasks or meetings that do not align with your priorities or workload can help you maintain control over your time.
Avoid Multitasking
Contrary to popular belief, multitasking can hinder productivity. When you juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, you may not give each one the attention it deserves, leading to errors and inefficiencies. Instead, focus on one task at a time and complete it before moving on to the next.
Use Technology Wisely
There are countless productivity tools and apps available to help you manage your time. Calendar apps, task management software, and time-tracking tools can be valuable assets. However, itâs essential to use them wisely and not become overwhelmed by too many digital tools.
Take Breaks
Taking regular breaks can boost productivity. Short breaks allow your brain to recharge and help prevent burnout. Incorporate short walks, deep breathing exercises, or quick stretches into your day to maintain mental clarity and focus.
Review and Reflect
At the end of each day or week, take some time to review your accomplishments and assess your time management strategies. Identify what worked well and what could be improved. Continuously refining your approach will help you become a master of time management in the workplace.
Mastering the art of time management in the workplace is a skill that can greatly enhance your productivity and overall job satisfaction. By prioritizing tasks, setting clear goals, and using effective strategies, you can take control of your time and achieve success in your professional life while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Remember that time management is a continuous process of improvement, so be patient with yourself and stay committed to refining your skills.

"I do infer to our relation, my friend. You are still very much in the prime of your natural life, " he responded smoothly, his hands resting on his cane and smiling. "Ah, yes. Work is work, after all. It had eaten up more time than I initially planned, but the results were better than my prediction, so I suppose I cannot fault it since the payout was worthwhile. Have you been busy as well in my absence? Or did you perhaps miss me? I certainly missed your company, after all, not many think like we do and it's rather tedious dealing with trivial things."
@eclectical-muses // From the inbox "Did you miss me, my old dear friend?" -Cashmir
"I do hope you mean old as in our relation and not my age." Comes a quick quip as he looks up from his phone, switching off the screen rather quickly. Even so, he's smiling. Ah yes, him. That guy. The one he hasn't seen in so long. And for why? Where had he been, he wonders? "Because I would be very upset about the latter. Even so, what kept you away all this time, hm? Too busy for me?"

!New Fic! - Familial Connections
This fic has actually been out for a few days, but as the authors were only unveiled recently, I didn't do an announcement until now. It was part of the BatPham server's Secret Santa this year.
Summary:
Dick had a younger brother. His name was Tim. His little baby brother Tim. But after their parents died, they were separated, and Dick didn't know what happened to his little brother. When he was finally able to look for him, months later after being taken in by Bruce, he only seemed to hit roadblocks. Wherever his brother was, Dick didn't know. And he wasn't exactly sure how to find him.
Tim had always longed to fly. But as the heir to Drake Industries, that wasn't exactly something he could do. No, he had to be a good little boy, polite and proper, just what his parents expected. But when his parents weren't home, when no one was looking, he could follow the two people who really could fly: Batman and Robin. It didn't really matter that Tim would never be able to fly himself, he could watch Robin fly and that would be enough.

As a gardener currently working in a family-owned garden center:
Picking up shit from the ground is fine. We would have to throw it in the trash otherwise, because employee-time + pot, soil, water, fertiliser would not be financially worth it for most plants. So even if we would like to save the plant, if we would do so, the garden center likely wouldnât be able to stay in business and compete with the big companies. Or it would have to decrease the number of employees and our loan. None of us like it, but unfortunately thatâs how it is. So even though itâs a bit meh, if picking up the succulent means you wonât buy the original plant and raise the succulent instead, even though the store loses money, itâs still fine. Props to you for the effort to raise it. And if you buy the original plant also we will love you forever :)
However. If you fucking break a plant on purpose. A plant we put time and effort in. And with that damage it so it either wonât get sold or gives the store a reputation for mediocre plants. If you threaten our livelihood just so you donât have to buy a plant (a luxury product). Itâs on fucking sight.
#sry if this was harsh#still not over the customer yesterday who wanted to buy one (1) mini plant decoration#and after I told her that we only the small ones in a set of ten#proceeded to look fairly deject âbut then I have to buy the whole set :(((â and clearly wanted me to make an exception and open the box#while being there at 11am and wearing a cashmir sweater with designer shoes#the set was 3.50âŹ#psa because internet and nuance:#of course you can ask if it means reducing waste#if you really only need one item from a set. but you also have to accept the answer#and not try to guilt trip the employee who canât change it anyway

A review of Led Zeppelin's shows in Seattle in 1975.
There are typos galore in this short write-up, including, "John Bohaw," "Cashmir," "Whole Lot of Love" and "Headbreaker."
"Guitarist Jimmy Page was so inspired in his performance that he continuously broke strings on his twelve string guitar.
"The concert can best be summed up with a comment made by the group's vocalist at the end of the show.
"'You were fantastic and so were we!'"

Midnight thoughts on Batmom and her children's clothes.
WARNING: My mother was like this, Not on the money side, though. And you ask:ÂżElla, are you projecting?, and I will answer: No. ÂżWere you got such nonsense idea?
This gif represents my mind right now. I should be sleeping.
Batmom keeps its kids SPOTLESS when it comes to dressing. She doesn't control what they wear, but her kids have only the best brands on them. And if she couldn't get whatever they want in the best brand, it's gonna will be tailored for them.
JUST THE BEST FOR HER BABIES.
And she does not repeat it, there is no such thing as the younger brother taking the clothes of the older one in this family. Each child has their own style, autonomy and clothes, and they rarely agree on those things so sharing is never an option for them when it comes to clothing. If her baby grows out of their clothes, Batmom donate it or keep it for future grandchildren.
I mean, I'm talking about #silentluxury for her children, from they feet to the tip of their heads.
The funniest thing about all this is that most of the time they do not even realize it. It's not until a Gotham news forum pulls out a detailed article about the Wayne's silent luxury fashion and how it dates from Dick's early days at the mansion to the present day with Damian that they notice the pattern.
Like, imagine newly-reunited-with-his-family-but-still-rebellious Jason wearing a sweatshirt of the brand The Row that clearly bought his mom and costs at least $ 800 that he can not pay because he is a rebel and does not need his dad's money but he acepts gifts from his mum, of course.
Or little Dick returning from a day of art classes (because Batmom decided to give him other extracurricular activities other than a vigilante dressed as a traffic light) excited with his Dior jeans of $ 1300 dollars stained in paint, but with a work of art in his hand that he did only for his mommy.
Or Tim, wearing a pair of $450 black Gucci sandals, walking half-asleep out of his college class after he didn't hear his alarm, so he left with the first thing he found from his apartment.
Or Damian, putting one of his cashmire sweaters on Titus at Christmas, wearing a maching of his own, equally expensive and soft.
Also, imagine Cassandra only wearing THE BEST in balett shoes and equipment, totally unconsciously of the amount of money that really costs, all that because neither Batmom nor Bruce ever told her because it's nothing really that expensive for this family.
And no matter how many clothes they ruin. Never. And I repeat: NEVER their mom will allow her children to have something less.
(They are more spoiled than they themselves even realize.)
Bruce got jealous at some point and started letting Batmom choose his wardrobe as well.
Allright, NOW I'm done.
Good night.

Normally I would reblog this to my main account, but I felt like it fit better here.
I am currently publishing 3 fics, with quite a few more files on my computer waiting for enough chapters and time to post them. During the process of posting the current fics I've graduated with my Bachelor's degree, moved halfway across the country to attend grad school, had a bad breakup, and a bunch of other little life events that I've shared with my readers. In all likelihood, I'll still be posting chapters for these fics after I've graduated grad school.
I hope my readers find watching my little life updates interesting. I hope that when these fics end, whenever that may be, they feel like they've watched me grow.
Yeah sure weâve all binged a long fic, but have you ever read a WIP and followed someoneâs life?
Tidbits of information - (âI graduated today!â) - and small joys (âItâs my birthday!â) and you get to be there to say âThis chapter made me cry, happy birthday, thank you for gifting us thisâ.
I remember reading this fic of someone at the end of high school, older than me then. They seemed infinitely wise, spoke of their future career and getting into the college they wanted. I remember them posting on days they felt like nothing could bring them down - and on days the whole world did and itâs the aftermath of a hospital visit. Cancer, I think it was, their father. I got to the end of the story, I know their father was fine, but also they got to finish their WIP. I graduated three years later than them, still dutifully wrote thank you notes in every comment. I wonder if they remember me, or just the collective of people reading the story as it updates.
Four years ago I was into my first year of university, my first year of figuring out being out in public spaces. I made excuses as to why my name didnât match my paperwork and read a fic on the train, the same five chapters over and over again for the next years as I thought the story abandoned. It updated this week after such a long hiatus, I left another thank you comment.
Thereâs an author I love, they update their stories like a clockwork. When they donât, I check their blog, just to see if their doing alright, not because I feel like they owe me, just to ensure whether I better get out my laptop to write that really detailed university level essay chapter analysis to get them smiling when their day sucked.
And then, once, when I was 17, I read a fic that hadnât updated in over a decade. I wasnât even in primary school when it started posting. On the last chapter, I left a comment that, in retrospect, was horribly rambly and most likely full of grammar mistakes. The author replied and though I couldnât see their face, I thought of them crying. They were married now, had children, and hadnât thought about this fic in years. They went through their files again, found another half written chapter and an outline. I got two new chapters to read that year.
And then, recently, someone told me they got back into writing original fiction because of my comments. I get to read nearly weekly chapters.
I love binge reading a finished fic, but nothing is ever going to top the feeling of anticipation of waiting for a chapter, the pure joy when someone tells you I was done with this, but you made me think of it again, so this is for you.
Anyway, I think we should romanticize reading WIPs more, growing up alongside the authors writing the stories we love.
