Doc (D'Angelo) and Hush are here <3 <3. And I have a decent bit to say about Hush in particular sooo: - D'Angelo (He/Him) is African American, and just generally very tired, overworked and... not having the best time. He works specifically as a Healer and Warder, and spends most of his free time just laying at home. He doesn't eat very well even though he can probably afford to. He just... has that 'burnt out college student' lifestyle well out of college. He's doing his best :,). Also often ends up coming home late due to his coworkers wanting to get drinks with him. Does not help things. - Hush is such a creature I love him so so much. I had a few important things I wanted to show in his design, and I think I did. Firstly was his being a bit Android... like. Since D'Angelo asked if he was one during their first meeting. All those markings and lines on the skin pass well enough :). Also, he has a lot of Daemonic appearance, with horns and such, but no tail, and the horns are instead supposed to look like a Halo. This brings me to the third thing, which is I wanted him to look like... an angel. Specifically a humanoid Throne (the many-eyed wheels.) He has a few... extra eyes on his horns, which he usually keps shut but very well can open. Still deciding how many. And he has 5 on his face, and maybe more on his hands or other areas. And his outfit is a play on how I dress Vega, just in lighter colours. Specifically Teal and Pink to represent... Min'Ara and E'Laetum. Because I think THEY made him. He is just... such a guy. I loved designing him so much. Hope y'all like him even though I would not say this is a terribly... common interpretation.

Redacted headcanons- d(a)emons edition

Gavin is good with make up. (Though I guess that kinda goes without saying since he canonically likes to dress in drag?) So sometimes he does Freelancer's, or maybe the rest of the crew's make up, if they ever wanted to try it.

When he ACTUALLY started therapy, Cam probably had to limit the time he spent with his charges, at first.

Avior plays the piano, maybe the violin, too? Either way, Starlight plays as well, but they tend to go for more modern instrumets.

Ever since Brachium got out of Death, he gets reminded of the place every time he hears or sees water flow, because of the river. He feels conflicting emotions every time that happens.

I'd say both Vega and Brachium have a very specific vibe to them, since both of them are centuries old they probably have that "from another time" type of feel.

I think Scorpious' style might be pretty classy, maybe not the most modern though? I think he'd wear those flowy button up shirts that you would see on men in fantasy.

warden/vega sketches! with some headcanons below the cut with some spoilers for the Carpe Deus playlist

I tried to imagine what a demon's astral form might look like, I think they're vaguely humanoid but dont have any discernable features outside of a silhouette. I think their appearance and texture is like the astral forms in Arcane

Their mouths aren't usually visible but can be seen if they open their jaws wide enough.

They've got two pupils!!! and no hands or feet, they just float around aria

Warden's appearance on elegy is more human! I think most demons that spend most of their time in elegy like to look more human in appearance

pre-reformation!Vega's disdain for humans means he tries to retain as much of his astral form in his appearance in elegy, but that has its limits

Reformed! Vega looks more human where as Warden takes on a little more of their astral form features after his death (the ol' switcheroo)

Demon horns depend on their age, Warden is more recently coalesced so their horns are considerably shorter than Vega's, whose horns are unbelievably long. Though, after his reformation his horns become a little shorter

their ears are kinda weird, idek how to describe the shape I drew them in but they're longer and sharper than a human's with a small nick at the lobe

warden's favorite emotion to feed on is serenity, their favorite human food are frosted mini wheats (idk why! that just feels right to me)

vega is an incredibly picky eater regardless of if its pre or post reformation

HI HELLO UHHH well i feel like the order in which i listened (but slightly adjusted) was a good way to listen to everything- i'd say the first redacted 101 video about magic is very useful in explaining the basics so probably that first and then:

- freelancer season 1

- sadism's hold (ivan) you could listen at the same time as freelancer s1 bc it takes place at the same time

- freelancer season 2

- inversion

- freelancer season 3

- sovereign state (avior)

- project meridian ^^ with avior and project meridian you could switch their positions and listen either way

- hush

- carpe deus (vega)

- the balance ^^ again you could switch the positions of vega and the balance but just know they're both veryvery heavy lore wise so i'd recommend listening to last. i also recommend listening to hush and vega at the same time

these are just for the narrative/lore focused playlists ^^ as for the character playlists, you can listen in whichever order you want- i'd already listened to a lot of vincent before the freelancer series and i listened to milo just whenever- i finished listening to david, asher and sam last just bc they're not my kinda guys tbh 💀 the werewolves (david, asher and milo) and the vampires (vincent and sam) do also all appear in inversion and some people might recommend listening to them all first before inversion but i didn't and it was all fine- i could still figure out what was going on and could tell them apart easily but then again, if you do listen before, you'll understand inversion more and will have all the context so it's just up to you‼️i haven't listed all the character playlists btw, just the ones who appear in the narrative/plot-focused ones but there are others too like porter and morgan <3

and then there's other random characters like guy, ollie and geordi and stuff lol which aren't too involved in anything but they're veryvery cool and nice to listen to when recovering from angst 😃👍

oh and then there's the imperium au- which i'm actually still listening to (i keep procrastinating it lol). it's an alternate universe so just don't even go near that until you've listened to everything else 😭‼️

Vega and Warden's relationship goes far beyond platonic or romantic (I will not be taking criticism)

We know that magical cores react when werewolves call someone their mate. It lights up like a firework and is as warm as a fire. It's a physical reaction for love that goes that deep.

If magical cores can do this, is it not possible for d(a)emons to have this same reaction but through their whole body? D(a)emons are pure magic. If a magical core can give a shifter a physical reaction when expressing such a deep level of love, imagine how much stronger that feeling would be for d(a)emons.

Vega placed Warden's safty of the completion of his task. Vega cared for warden when they were recovering from almost using all their magic. Words weren't needed to express this connection they knew they had. When Vega was reformed and met Warden again, he said he knew Warden meant something to him because he could feel it.

And Warden was right; their relationship was complicated. But only because words can't describe a connection like their's. Words can't describe a relationship that goes deeper than any platonic or romantic feelings anyone could feel. They can't describe how two separate beings, ones with sometimes conflicting personalities, couldn't feel anything yet everything for each other.

A connection that goes beyond even their magical forms on aria. Both notes that play in perfect harmony in the spell song embedded into their creation.
