Turned 22 yesterday and went 2 the zoo 2 see owls cause I've been so into them for a while 🥹

Saw both the lechuza (barn owl) and the Tucúquere (Magellanic horned owl) that I wanted to see the most 🥹🖤

Didn't get 2 hold them like the drawing (I wish..) but I got 2 plushies and they're so cute 🥺🥺

I had a dentist appointment at midday so we didn't have enough time 2 see everything tho,,

In order to prevent horizontal ableism this holiday season, just a reminder than Tiny Tim was disabled by a life-threatening ailment.

He wasn't born disabled, and his mobility issues were not the focal point of his story's concern.

When we talk about disability representation in film and literature, Tiny Tim represents those disabled communities where medical intervention is necessary not only to survive, but thrive.

His modern counterparts are people with Long Covid, with ALS, and cancer survivors. The complete opposite side of the spectrum from those of us who were born disabled.
