100% support that. I think straight trans men especially see a lot of erasure from other queer people, who are quick to portray them as cis lesbian victims of lesbophobia.

Brazilian!Rhaenicent - Headcanons

- Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen would actually be named: Alice Torres and Rafaella Trindade.

- Them both would be from different states! in my head if we fit westeros in certain brazilian states i think oldtown/the reach would be Minas Gerais and Kings Landing/Dragonstone would be São Paulo and Rio. So Alicent would be from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais and Rhaenyra would be from Rio!

- Alicent would study in a federal university (which are Brazil’s ivy leagues), and i can see her studying letras (english/lit) or journalism. As for Rhaenyra she would go to a private university to study economics and business, but i also can see Rhaenyra trying her best to get into Brazils aerospace engineering (ITA).

- Alicent loves to read and her favorite authors are Guimarães Rosa, Clarice Lispector and Hilda Hilst (she also loves with the bottom of her heart Machado de Assis and Lygia Fagundes Telles), and also loves books about Brazil’s (and the worlds) history and books that has that journalistic vein. Rhaenyra wouldn’t be that much into books, she would like one or another, but Alicent would make her a reader because of her recommendations (poetry is one of the genres that grows a lot inside Rhaenyra especially Carlos Drummond de Andrade and Hilda Hilst).

- they curse. a lot. it’s always a “puta que pariu”, “caralho” and “vai tomar no cu”.

1. Big cats: US Senate unanimously passes bill to curb private ownership

A bill to restrict the private ownership of big cats like lions and tigers in the US has passed by unanimous consent in the Senate. The Big Cat Public Safety Act would stop people from keeping the animals as pets and from them being exposed to public petting and photo opportunities.

Efforts to curb private ownership have increased in the wake of the Netflix documentary series Tiger King.

The bill now needs to be signed into law by President Joe Biden.

2. New Mexico voted a child care guarantee into its constitution.

New Mexico in May became the first state to offer free child care to most of its residents. In a speech to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, the embattled Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu invoked Hamas’ and Iran’s treatment of LGBTQ+ people to make his case for full support of Israel’s objectives in the war in Gaza. Standing before a packed House chamber, Netanyahu was adamant Israel’s continuing prosecution of the war was an existential battle of good against evil in the fight against “radical Islam” spread by Iran, whom he blamed for funding Hamas and Israel’s other enemies and for stoking protests in the U.S. against Isreal’s continuing war in Gaza.

“For all we know, Iran is funding the anti-Israel protests going on right now outside this building — not that many, but they’re there and throughout the city,” Netanyahu told the assembled lawmakers. “Well, I have a message for these protesters: When the tyrants of Tehran — who hang gays from cranes and murder women for not covering their hair, —are praising, promoting, and funding you, you have officially become Iran’s useful idiots.”

Republicans leapt to their feet in agreement. Throughout the speech, Netanyahu’s reception was audibly more rapturous on the GOP side of the aisle, as Republicans rose repeatedly while most Democrats offered a respectful but more reserved reaction. There were several notable absences during Netanyahu’s address, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Vice President Kamala Harris who cited a previously scheduled campaign event. As president of the Senate, Harris would normally preside over a joint session of Congress. She’ll meet with Netanyahu at the White House on Thursday.

So, I guess I'm just gonna go with everyone.

First off all, I have hinted of a Pablangie daughter, but I have never really written her in anything, just mentioned in passing conversation. I think I have decided her name is Paula. She's born around 2016.

The Violetta next gens, oldest to youngest:

I've also acquired two new next gens that I came up with literally last night at 1 AM. They are twins, and this far I've just decided that one of them will be named Tommy. No idea when the twins are born, but I know they are gonna be younger than everyone else. Maybe born in like 2028 or 2029, or even 2030.

Plus: The Franletta kids, Elina, Carolina and Oliver Castillo-Caviglia. Born mid 2022 (maybe August 1st too lol), late 2024 and specifically June 2027 respectively.

Isadora, Diana, Kim and Stella do ;) And depending on the universe, Lola and Elina do too ;)

11. How are their relationships with other relatives (grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc)?

Isadora is extremely awkward around Germán, even though she loves him. She's always felt safe around Angie though, and looks up to Paula like a cooler older sister. Leon's parents spoil Isadora a lot, it being their only granddaughter, and they always make her food and give her gifts.

Diana has a jokeful relationship with Gregorio, she likes to prank him and tease him, but it's all in good fun. She's also the only grandchild of Francesca's parents, as Luca never had kids. Luca got to babysit her once when she was like 5 and he seems to have traumatic memories from it (although Diana doesn't remember it at all), so every time she meets Luca she jokes that he looks so nervous around her.

Franletta's kids get along with all of their relatives. Germán is instead the one awkward around them, because suddenly there's three of them running around and he occasionally forgets Violetta and Francesca are married. Violetta starts to wonder if he has dementia.

Kim gets along with all of Camila's relatives and always has fun with his aunts and cousins. Camila has a large family, as everyone agrees on.

Stella looks up to her aunt Lena a lot. Because Ludmila has a strained relationship with Priscila, Stella does too. She has met Priscila very few times, so there's barely a relationship there.

Lucia is adored by her grandparents.

I headcanon Ámbar mostly visiting Sharon herself without her kids. She tells them a lot about them and how they're progressing and growing. Lilith and Angelica have met her, but they haven't talked much with her. They are very very close with all of Simón's family, though.

The other next gens I don't have much to say about, but they have a good relationship with their relatives.

15. How is their clothing style?

I haven't gotten definitive styles for a lot of them, except that Lilith is a mix of a punk, grunge and Simón's clothing style. Lola is also kind of grunge.

Diana is, as I've always described her, "Francesca's looks and Diego's personality", so she dresses like a female Diego a lot of the time.

Stella has some galaxy themed outfits... she's been influenced.

I will be scarce around the intertubz this weekend, as I am off to a fabulous festival in North Carolina, to vend my art what generally makes me a living. Festival of Legends is a delightful mix of ren faire, fairy fest, myth, magic, and whimsy.
