just saw someone call charles' career 'common successes' the pole to win ratio agenda is too severe because in no way is 26 poles without a championship winning car common at ALL

every time he wins it's after ten thousand trials and tribulations and his wins this year mean so much more to me than if he had a dominant car. i said it last year and i think so doubly now that he impresses me with every race like he is him and i truly think he is the best.

As someone who’s been through one too many winnable Jannik Sinner five set heartbreaks everyone saying that “with a Novak out this is Jannik’s tournament to losel and placing him as the firm favorite to win it all are ignoring two very important facts:

1) Jan’s biggest op is all and always will be Daniil Medvedev on hard court. Don’t let these last few matches fool you that octopus mf will never not be a problem 😭

2) when faced with 5 sets Jannik Sinner can, and has, found a way to lose. No matter how advantageous the position man can always fuck it up.

ok new hc: Lauretta leaves her fiancé for Carlo because the latter becomes a better choice. Carlo knows about the fiancé and i just love that the "to take what belongs to someone else because you need it more" pattern is repeated here again

The fiancé is imposed by her parents who were worried about their daughter's age (i hc that she was 27 in 1934 so Lauretta n Carlo are literally a year apart), while Lauretta was more concerned with whether the prospective husband met her standards and she delayed the marriage in hopes of finding a better match (and well she did)

i love the idea of Lauretta being pulled into another world, a brighter, richer and freer one. And it's very important to me that she has a choice. Carlo and Lauretta both marry for completely selfish reasons, but it's still a conscious choice, not a forced one.

Although i'm sure Lauretta would've let Carlo think it was his personal victory just so he could feed his ego. She understands exactly why she _chose_ this man and watches Carlo's triumph with an imperceptible chuckle

When Andrea tells Carlos that a few snowflakes aren’t enough to keep her away from her boy when he’s hurting, it just makes me think about how much her boy has hurt over the years…and how there’s so much both she and Gabriel could have done to help alleviate that hurt.

Just thought about Anton's wedding band being kinda scuffed up and it's making me fucking ill. In a good way. Treating a ring like it's part of you to such an extent that you don't even think about trying to baby it or keep it extra safe/pristine. Letting it get little marks that change it into something totally unique. GOD that's so sweet...
