I mean, it's your basic "talking heads" type documentary, but they are, for the most part, very good at talking charismatic like (this being their main occupation), so it's still pretty good.

Profiles in Villainy

The Gangreen Gang 

A group of no good, trouble-making hoodlums who live in a shack at the Townsville City dump, the Gangreen Gang are most renown for being the first villains to battle The Powerpuff Girls shortly after the threesome decided to become superheroes.  These green-skinned delinquents are more of a nuisance than significant threat, but they sure know how to make trouble.

The gang is composed of Ace, Snake, Big Billy, Lil’ Arturo and Grubber.   It remains unknown how the teens got their green skin and mutated features although it has been intimated that they may have been exposed to some sort of radioactive material at the city dump.  

Ace, the group’s leader, briefly left the gang to play bass on tour with the English experimental rock band, The Gorilliaz.  Ace performed on the band's sixth album The Now Now, replacing bassist Murdoc Niccals while he was serving a prison sentence. Following Mudoc’s release, Ace returned to Townsville and joined back up with the Gangreen Gang.

Actors Jeff Bennett, Tom Kenny and Carlos Alazraqui provide the voices for the Gangreen Gang.  The green-skinned goons first appeared in the fourth episode of the first season of The Powerpuff Girls, airing on December 9th, 1998.

So I Spied Another Day...

You know it was a good show when you can’t decide whether your heart is so full from all the love and joy, or so empty because it's over.

Really do buckle up, because this is a long one.

So the show went a little like this. They played the Spies pro-shoot on a giant movie screen, but any time a song started, the audio changed to the instrumental track, the video typically faded to simple background graphics, and the cast came out to perform the number live in concert style. There were also a series of audience participation prompts up on the movie screen, such as standing to deliver a line in unison, giving Lauren a standing ovation for the Pay Attention! Reprise, enthusiastically booing Dr. Baron von Nazi and the still infuriatingly catchy Not So Bad (for anyone who’s curious, in addition to encouraging boos and yelled disagreements with von Nazi, they also cut the audience participation bit from the song).

The energy in the room was so electric and full of joy and warmth. People shouted out iconic lines, went wild for everyone’s entrances, and absolutely lost their damn minds over Curtwen at pretty much every opportunity. And the cast were clearly having just as much fun. Doing This has always been my favorite, and there was something so sweet about them singing it again all these years later. We finally got Joey performing Spies Are Forever (Evil Reprise) again and it was just as chilling and beautiful as you’d expect. And One Step Ahead was just on a whole new level. I don’t want to give anything away, but the details in that performance were INCREDIBLE.

It was simply so special seeing most of the original gang come back while also bringing some new friends along. Shout out to Mariah for coming out at the top of the show so ready to play, setting the tone for the whole evening. Shout out to James for putting his comedy chops on full display (LET JAMES BE FUNNY MORE) and dancing the hell out of One More Shot (another favorite number). And shoutout to Carlos Alazraqui (taking over the roles of Sergio and Vladimir Poopin) and Tommy Link for coming into this crazy part of our world with such enthusiasm and silliness. Brian deserves a medal for agreeing to once again play the most cringe-worthy character in all of Pulp-StarCanWrecked history, and for sounding so fucking good while doing it. Tessa was having a blast in full unhinged glory and I gladly worship at her altar. Lauren is maybe the funniest person alive and deserved her standing ovation, prompted or not. Seeing Joe Walker perform live has been Item Number One on my fandom bucket list since I moved to LA a couple of years ago, and I still can’t quite believe I managed it. I’d wondered if he’d be rusty, but honestly he sounded great; it was like no time had passed. Mary Kate still has one of my all-time favorite voices and her Tatiana remains forever engaging. Joey showed up dressed to slay as a gay evil genius Bond-movie supervillain and proceeded to thoroughly deliver on that promise. And Curt… every time I watch Spies I am increasingly blown away by what he does with this arrogant, broken mess of a character. He clearly loves Agent Mega as much as any of us, and to see a performance refined and powered by such clear and thoughtful passion is just a huge treat.

(And while he wasn’t in the cast, I can’t not mention Corey. Between his roles as director and co-writer, so much of what Spies is comes directly from him and we don’t appreciate that nearly enough. And shout out to Esther Fallick for her wonderful work as Susan and the Informant. She might not have been there in person, but her incredible performance was with us the whole time.)

I know this is preaching to the choir, but Spies Are Forever really is such a special show. It’s a story about recovery, and devastating as it can be, I think there’s also something deeply healing about it at its core. For one thing, I know it played a huge role in mending my relationship with my asexuality. I will forever be grateful to it for existing, to TCB, Talkfine, and the original cast for creating it, and to those same people for maintaining its legacy with the amount of love and care it deserves. It was a privilege to be in the room as so many people came to celebrate this miraculous little musical. There were a couple of minor tech glitches (I wonder if they’ll even include the “big one”—the projector jumping over most of the staircase scene before getting fixed—in the digital ticket version), but nothing that could even begin to damper the magic of the night.

We all know that spies never die (except for Owen and the Informant, oops). And at times like this concert, I think this special little show with its short run in 2016 will prove to be just as immortal.

Ozzy Woodchuck - Ozzy Woodchuck is fozzie bear's whatnot counterpart, he is the comedic Woodchuck of the Show And his jokes often suck and he often uses honks for entertainment of other whatnots. His headcanon voice actor is Doug Giorgis, And his voice claim is Bobby zilch from psychonauts.

(time to take a look at the first ever ghost that Snoof encounters on his journey (Season 1 Episode 1), Torts from the Glorp Corp)

Special Ability in Combat: Ooze Pool (can form a large pool of slime, harming any enemies caught in it)

A cheerful, but slow, Mixel who tries to make the best of a situation, Torts of the Mysterious tribe is always eager to make those around him happy.

Despite falling victim to the mysterious psychopath, Torts still tries to keep a smile on his face, even though he knows that no one will ever see that smile ever again.

That is until he crosses paths with Snoof and his magic key. Upon realizing that Snoof can see him, Torts happily tags along in the hopes that he will one day bring happiness to his own brothers again, who are still stricken with grief after his death.

As a ghost, whenever Torts inspirits someone, it will make them act just like him: slower, but happier.

Once encountering a strange Mixel monster in the desert, Snoof discovers that The Key can create special discs for the ghosts that they meet. By inserting the disc into The Key's watch form, Snoof is able to not only summon Torts back into a corporeal form, but he is also granted special abilities to use in combat.

RI Comic Con is announcing Fairly OddParents guests this week and I'm dreading either Butch Hartman (for obvious reasons that have already been discussed in detail for years; most people know this by now) or Tara Strong (for her racist, Zionist tweets which she apparently apologized for......but she's still a Zionist and all of this has made me lose all my respect for someone who was once a voice acting hero to me).

But I'd love to meet Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee, and I'd love to see Carlos Alazraqui again.

Kingdom Hearts IV predictions

Radiator Springs/Dinoco Rust-eze Racing Center/Fireball Beach/Thunder Hollow/Thomasville/Florida International Speedway (Cars)

Takes place after Cars 3.

Is visited by Sora.

It isn’t combat based. Missions include keeping up with McQueen’s top speed by racing down Radiator Springs’ main street, learning how to turn right to go left at Willy’s Butte, driving backwards with Mater, keeping up with Cruz’s top speed on Fireball Beach, avoiding pushy competitors with the Thunder Hollow challengers, and practicing with Cruz at Thomasville, culminating in the Piston Cup race at Florida International Speedway, where the objective is to win against Jackson Storm.

Sora enters the world as a custom-made car mixing a few real-life sports car models before visits to Luigi’s Casa Della Tires and Ramone’s House of Body Art end with him modified into a next-gen race car sponsored by Dinoco (with Tex’s blessing) and with Cruz’s number.

It’s set during Cruz’s first Piston Cup racing season, so McQueen still has Doc’s colors and spends the Florida race as Sora’s crew chief. Also, Ramone wears his “Saludos Amigos” body paint from the epilogue of Cars 3.

As Sora finishes his story, Mater is certainly unhappy with Xehanort’s actions forcing Sora’s hand. “That dad-gum Xehanort”, he says angrily. Extra points if Sora doesn’t get to the part where Xehanort is dead, then Sarge gets in his face and demands him to teach Xehanort a lesson when he gets back in a militaristic manner. “Is that understood,” Sarge yells. Then Sora tries to correct him, but gets cut off and asked again, “Is that understood,” and has to respond, “Sir, yes, sir!”

Of course, during the top speed races, Luigi is the one to signal the race to begin.

In the Radiator Springs race, Sora’s top speed is tracked by Sheriff’s speed radar, and on Fireball Beach, it’s via Cruz’s personal assistant, Hamilton.

If you fail the “Turn Right to go Left” mission, Sora goes flying into the bed of cacti, and Mater fishes him out.

I know I’ll get hate for this, but Cars 2 elements are here. Heck, maybe Mater can’t be present most for the training because he’s busy with Finn and Holley. After all, does he still owe Holley a first date?

I wanted the player character in this world to be Kairi just so Storm can feel the embarrassment of losing to not one, but two “costume girls”.

The Piston Cup race is announced as a 500-lap race, but no game developer is that malicious to force the player to race 500 laps around an oval, so they’d take after the first Cars game and make it twelve laps with the sun slowly lowering throughout the race.

Animation Breakdown - Rikochet's Pulverizing Pinball

Had my inner child healed a bit at Rhode Island Comic Con 2024 on Friday! Got to meet Mara Wilson from Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda. Steve from Blue’s Clues. plus Carlos Alazraqui the voice of Mr. Crocker, Dinkleberg, and Juandissimio as well Susanne Blackslee the voice of Wanda and Mrs. Turner! I got to get their autographs and pics with them! One of the best days I’ve ever had and my inner child was so happy and filled so much nostalgia with my bestie! (Covered her face for privacy!)

Profiles in Villainy

Mr. Crocker

Like many children, Denzel Quincy Crocker was visited upon by Fairy Godparents in his childhood.  These fairy folk looked after the youngster and helped him traverse the trials and tribulations of growing up.  Unlike other children, however, Denzel never forgot about having Fairy Godparents. Indeed the fact that no other adult remembered nor believed in such entities drove perplexed him to no end.  

As an adult, Denzel Crocker went on to become an elementary school teacher. All the while, he secretly continuing his quest to prove the existence of Fairy Godparents and use the magic these fairies possessed to fulfill his own selfish interests. 

Mr. Crocker correctly surmised that his student, Timmy Turner, had Fairy Godparents that looked after him and Mr. Crocker has stopped at nothing to prove the existence of Timmy’s guardians and capture them.  After many failed efforts, Crocker eventually captured Timmy’s Fairy Godparents and ultimately used their powers to rewrite reality and seat himself as the supreme ruler of all mankind. 

Fortunately, Timmy, his pals and his Fairy Godparents were able to set things right and reality was restored.  An incensed Mr. Crocker was beside himself with outrage and he ended up institutionalized in a mental health facility.  

Actors Carlos Alazraqui and David Lewis provided the voice for Mr. Crocker, with the villain first appearing in the fourth episode of the first season of The Fairly OddParents, airing on April 6th, 2001.
