Oscar the Matchmaker: Chapter Seven

Oscar Piastri x reader x Max Verstappen

Summary: Oscar needs to let out some steam after his DNF in Spa, and his partners happen to be the perfect stand ins. Lando fails to realize that Oscar is a matchmaker in a really messed up kind of way

Lando is a menace. He knows this. The Spainaird sitting next to him knows this as well. However, Lando is also protective. Carlos had sent out a less than nice tweet about his teammate, and Lando is determined to make the older male apologize for his actions.

Oscar had been so excited after the sprint, and Lando had wanted to see that continue through the race and after. The Australian leaving with a deppressed look on his face had not been the plan.

The Brit had once again stolen a room key. This time, Max's. Oscar had said they were coming straight here after everything was said and done. So they lounge lazily across the bed. Lando had finished lecturing Carlos ten minutes ago. Now the pair have nothing better to do than lounge around and go through the groups things.

Lando opens another drawer, and Carlos just shakes his head in disappointment. "I found the goods!"

"The goods?"

"The secrets, Carlos! The things that are kinky!"

Both Lando and Carlos' head snap toward the door. Max's hotel room is much bigger to the point where the bedroom is separate. This means that at the current moment, they can't see each other, but they can hear through the walls.

The door slams shut, and Oscar's more demanding voice fills the other side of the wall. "Knees. Now."

Lando grabs Carlos by the arm and pulls him off the bed. "Not again."

The two dive into the bathroom and gently close the door just in time for the bedroom door to slam open. Lando can hear the closet door also creak open and close again.

"Pretty sure Lando won't ever come into the room unnoticed again." Laughs the female.

Carlos leans over to him and whispers. "You've don't this before?!"

"Almost died with Charles."

"That explains some things."

The highs and lows of Spa are something that can make even the strongest man dizzy. Or at least that's how she thinks Oscar might feel.

His early DNF had made him irritable all evening. Which is to be expected. Not like anyone likes to DNF.

When she saw the look on his face, she knew that he needed to let out his frustrations.

Which would turn out to be Max. The Aussie had pratically dragged him back here with her in tow carrying their things.

Now Max is on his knees, Oscar is fuming, and she's attempting to find what he asked for.

If they hadn't talked about this before, then she might have even been scared. However, Max had sent in the group chat that he is willing to be a stand-in for whatever Oscar needs. It's a rare thing that this happens. That consent is given over text, and Oscar had double-checked in the car.

The Aussie had laid out his plans and made sure to remind them he isn't mad, and this is for their enjoyment as much as his outlet. It is always important to go into these things with a good mindset.

She lays a few things out and then waits as instructed. Oscar and Max are in seconds, and despite the initial roughness, They both check around the room and shoot her cheeky smiles.

No sign of Lando. "Pretty sure Lando won't come into the room unnoticed again." She laughs.

"I'd rather not risk it given what we're about to do." Oscar closes the closet door and looks at both her and Max. "I'm giving you three seconds to put yourselves on the bed facing each other."

The two flounder for a moment, but still end up there they needed to be. Though it definitely isn't graceful.

Neither of them say anything. Max may be the Carlos stand-in, but she has yet to actually be told what she's doing. Awaiting orders like a robot.

"Strip each other. Don't want anything on you." Oscar stands at the foot of the bed with his arms crossed, face flushed with a mix between arousal and frustration. They fumble again in getting clothes off. A small part of her mind wants to take as long as possible, but with his mood, she deems that it is a bad idea. The last time she decided to be a brat, it ended with three hours of edging, and then Oscar and Max tag teamed her into far too many orgasms that she cried for a while after. It was great, really, but at the time, she wasn't pleased with it.

Instead it feels like their clothes are off in record time. Oscar eyes them with hunger. A smirk plays on his lips as he wets them with his tongue.

A forceful push sends Max backward. His head dangling of the edge. She can hear the buckle of Oscar's jeans come undone. He turns it into a makeshift bond for his wrist. A little tighte then neccecary but the moan it gets from Max tells her he likes it that way.

She dragged from her blissful state of simply watching when a fistful of her hair is grabbed. She's shoved down towards Max's very hard cock. It's a little slower, so she has a chance to actually get her mouth open.

"Don't let him finish." He pointedly commands her. This is going to be a long night.

Max was screaming a minute ago, and now the room is filled with panting. She likes this noise. Like an interlude in a song before it ramps up again.

Oscar runs gentle hands down the curves of Max's body. "You did so good, Maxy. Such a good stand-in. Too bad Carlos isn't a good boy like you."

"But he's so calm! Where is all the aggression coming from?"

"See, I've come to reason that he stores it all in a bottle and then saves it for these occasions."

She's not sure how she got herself into this position. Her body being tied to the headboard.

Scratch that, she does know. Oscar had proposed that he work on his knot tying while Max recovers some of his energy.

Apparently, she is also a Carlos stand-in. She may be tied to the headboard, but she's facing the wall.

When she is no longer tangled in rope, her body collapses into both boys. Exhaustion takes over her as she trembles in their hold. Every inch of her is still swimming in endorphins.

Words are exchanged, and the bed moves again. Max is humming a song to attempt stopping the still unending tears.

Tears she doesn't understand. She's not unhappy or in pain. Her brain feels like nothing and can't see past her boys and the unending waves serotonin. Maybe it's too much for her. Maybe she finally found that limit.

Sh hears the bathroom door creaks open and something like a growl escape from Oscar.

The two boys on the cold bathroom floor have made their own entertainment.

Is this probably not the best look from a professional standpoint? Probably. Do they care in this moment? Absolutely not.

The fact that Lando even has the Spaniard down his throat is amazing. It's even better when Carlos mumbles about how it's the best head he's ever had.

Until the moment is interrupted by the door creaking open and the light flicking on.

Carlos doesn't look at the door, though, cause he's too busy looking at Lando's flushed cheeks. He finishes down his throat the same second and somehow the Brit manages to take all of it.

"What the fuck?!"

Both boys scramble to resituate themselves. The door slams closed and they can hear Oscar muttering to himself.

When it reopens, he is in clothes and armed with murder in his eyes.

"I swear to god Lando that you have a kink or something, but bringing Carlos here as well is just evil."

"Does that mean it's a bad time to apoligize?"

"Get out."

So, I've been working on this Cat!Lando AU and well, here is one of the first things I wrote. It's still very new and I don't even have a title for it

Carlando ~ Cat (WIP)

"Am I too late?" It was Carlos.

"Not really, Daniel is fighting in the other room with someone and he doesn't want help." Max answered.

"Uh, that's weird." the Spaniard entered the room and stood next to the Monegasque, not knowing what to do.

"Come on Lando! They aren't going to say anything! Well, they'll definitely say something but they won't laugh at you! HA! Gotcha! You can't run now! No, no, no! Don't do that! Stop it!"

All the drivers looked at themselves confused, what the hell was doing Lando to make Daniel scream like that?

"Daniel, do you want some help?" Alex offered himself "We know Lando can be a little bit of a... rebel sometimes."

"No! No, all in place here! Ha! Now you can't run! I'm coming guys!"

They were getting more anxious as every second passed without Daniel entering the door. When he finally entered, he was giving everyone his back.

"Ok guys, you have to promise us that you won't overreact and do something stupid, even though I would totally do it if I were in your place. Promise?"

They all agreed, more confused than before. Where was Lando? Wasn't he with Daniel?

"Ok, as you may have heard, Lando won't be racing this weekend. Well, this is the reason why..."

He turned so every driver in the room could see what he was holding, well, who was he holding. Lando, still in his cat form seemed really frustrated. No one knew what to say.

"What do you mean this is the reason Lando won't race? Is he allergic to cats and he doesn't feel good?" Charles was the first to break the silence.

"But Lando has raced in worse conditions than a little cold and his allergies, where is he?" George asked.

"Yeah, you were talking to him before, no?" Max added.

"What was he doing to you? All those screams didn't sound nice." Carlos finally asked.

Lando hadn't realised that the Spaniard was there until he heard him. Just as an instinct, he needed to run away from him. He tried to climb Daniel's arms, or get to the floor, even though the door was closed, so he knew he wouldn't go really far. Alex, watching the discomfort in his little body, tried to help him.

"Hey little one" he said, shushing him, trying to relax him "it's ok, no one is going to hurt you here." Lando knew that, well, almost knew that, but he was feeling very anxious and really wanted to be free from the arms that were holding him. "Daniel, you aren't holding him right, let me do it."

Daniel have Lando to Alex, and he seemed to relax a little bit with the pats he was receiving.

"Lando, are you really telling me you just wanted some pats"

The silence fell again in the room.

"How- How did you just called him?"

"That's what I was trying to explain but nobody let me. This cat isn't a regular cat, it's Lando!"

"Are you sure you aren't high or drunk?" Max suggested.

"No! I don't understand it at all either, he just appeared in my hotel room yesterday and showed me that he really was Lando, so I just brought him here. I don't know what to do..."

Alex, who still had Lando in his arms moved to see him better and asked "Are you really him?"

Lando, who didn't want to break the comfort he was receiving but knew he had to, said yes with his head. Alex almost dropped him.

Poor Lando, they were going to give him a heart attack.

"Oh my God, my cats definitely don't do that!"

"Yeah, mine don't do that either!" Max added.

"Yeah, because I'm telling you guys, he is Lando!"

Alex needed to drop Lando on the floor to sit in the little sofa and breath, the situation was getting weirder every minute that passed and he wasn't understanding anything. Lando, who wanted to see everyone from an higher perspective climbed to the table that was there. He was definitely getting better moving in his new body.

"So, come again, how did you find him?" Charles asked, trying to process all the new information.

"I didn't, he appeared at 4 a.m. in my hotel room door and he just entered being the walking storm he is normally and proved he was, indeed, himself." Lando disagreed on how he entered his room but he only could show his discomfort with little hisses. "Yeah Lando, you can't do pretty much like that so shut up. Jon told me this morning that they were sightseeing in Tokio and he was doing photos, then they lost him and when they turned, the only thing that they could find was his camera, his phone, his backpack and his cap. I don't know anything else..."

"So, Lando suddenly appears as a cat, we don't know anything about how to bring him back and everyone thinks he's been kidnapped?" Charles tried to organise all the information.

"Yep"

"But does he remember how he got himself into this?" Carlos asked.

They all felt silent again, this time looking at Lando. The now-cat wasn't feeling very comfortable, being observed by everyone in the room.

"Carlos, even if he remembered how is he going to tell us, you stupid" Max said.

"Oh, no, we have developed a way to speak between us!" Daniel said, happily "Does anybody have a laptop here?"

"I have a tablet here, if it's enough." Carlos said.

"Perfect! Lando, you are staying with him this night! You both talk and figure a way to bring yourself back and we speak tomorrow!" Lando meowed the highest he could as a protest but Daniel misinterpreted it "Relax, I know you are excited but everything will be slow, Ok? See ya tomorrow everyone?"

Everyone agreed on talking again, but two of all the drivers weren't really confident on leaving Lando with the Spaniard. Alex and Max, who both had cats as pets and knew how to read their body language, could read the discomfort in Lando's body language, something was wrong. They both looked at each other and, without talking outloud, they both arrived at the same conclusion: they needed to investigate what was going on.

Well, I have already read the new chapter of BaM and, I'm sorry, but I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING at the moment with their phones on top of each other 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 (yeah, I've seen the jokes, I don't remember if here in Tumblr or in Twitter, about that with the carlando dinner in Mexico and I can't stop laughing since then) 😂😂😂😂😂 if I would be in that story in that moment with them and Caco, I would have made a joke with that 😂😂😂

And I feel very identified with their difficulties during their quarantine in Spain because I have lived something similar especially last year (during the toughest part of the pandemic I was in a good mood, but in autumn last year I started suffering the consequences and the tiredness of all the situation). I hope they I had explained myself well 😉

Yeah, I think we have all suffered in some way because of the pandemic. And in their case - I also don't think it's a bad sign, like they aren't meant for each other then or something like that, because they haven't made it through their self-isolation without getting annoyed about each other. It’s a exceptional situation no one has expected nor been prepared for. At that time, I had been together with my boyfriend since already over 10 years and we still got kind of annoyed about each other as well during self-isolation. That's normal and actually says nothing about the 'quality' of their relationship.

But don't worry - I have definitely got what you have tried to say and I also understand it. I hope you are already feeling better in the meantime?! 🤗❤️

There will come one more chapter, before the drama will begin.. 👀

Another (extremely cliche)'book-related' AU could be that they both use the same library book to study one subject at uni and end up leaving each other messages in the pages whenever they use the book like 'hi stranger! Today I'm bored I don't feel like studying' writes Lando and Carlos writes back in like the next chapter 'Hello stranger..I too would rather be home playing fifa but I know you can do it! (Btw what do you think about this bit? Don't have a clue about what it means *draws arrow and a smiley face*)' as always he is Lando's biggest fan even when he doesn't know him 😌 and then, obviously, they start leaving longer and longer notes written on papers then left in the pages and then one day Lando has to go to the library but it's not his usual day, it's way earlier in the week and 'ughh where's the damn book!?' and then he sees the book but it's on a table and someone is actually using it and 'wow that boy looks too handsome to be real..look at that hair!..what is he doing?!OHSHIT! The Rest That’s Still Unwritten

Hi folks! 👋🏻

Today I wanna establish a new category / posting-series on this blog, and as you can guess from the title (...if you know, you know 😉), this will be all about yet unwritten stories. Or to be exact: About my many, many drafts, unfinished works and raw concepts 🤓

Cause there really are a lot of them by now! Since I started writing Carlando-fanfiction in 2020, I’ve had so many cool ideas for stories, long or short, that I sadly just cannot realise them all anymore by now - the old problem of ‘so many projects, so little time’ that probably every creative mind knows… 😬

However, even if I personally love them all, there are nonetheless some ideas that I don’t think will ever overcome the state of just ‘vibing’ with them in my head. For whatever reason, I just don’t see me actually writing them - let it be plot holes, unanswered questions, too high efforts or that I just don’t “feel” them anymore to really take on the writing journey. (Especially with the longer projects!)

But because I like these basic ideas nonetheless and feel pretty bad for leaving them in my “not now”-folder and would rather want to somehow appreciate them - I thought, why should I not write them down in a shortened form and share them with you still? 🤓

As something somewhere between what you call a ‘prompt’ and a ‘ficlet’ here or the like - sorry, I’m not good with internet slang, haha 🙈 But just something that will give you a little movie in your head and that you might enjoy still, even if it’s not properly narrated - and that also allows me to clear my mind of the many open tabs 🙈

...and yeah, that is exactly what will happen in this category 🤗

(Oh, by the way, if you happen to like one draft a lot and want to turn it into an actual story, please feel free and do it!! ♥ Just please credit me for the idea and of course send me the link later if you publish it, cause I’d definitely LOVE to read your take on them! 🤩🤩)

…so, enough of explanations - let’s get started with the first story that I will not write! Which is also the most recent idea on my list, since it is the continuation of my latest one-shot “Red like Love / Rot wie die Liebe”.

I know I said in the notes that I won’t write a part 2, because these scenarios have been done often enough meanwhile (in my eyes) - but that doesn’t change that said scenario just won’t leave my head anymore ever since, haha. Because I do have a clear vision of what will happen next… 👀

So I decided to word it, for everyone else who might want to know, too. But, warning: If you haven’t read the actual OS yet and don’t want any spoilers, then please don’t click on the cut and read the main story first! ☝🏻

#1 Red like Love / Rot wie die Liebe Part II

We’re picking up right where the original story has ended: With Lando standing on Carlos’ doorstep, breathless from his flight from the Lola Lounge, and desperate to talk to his now ex-teammate.

Carlos, in turns, is of course massively confused - considering both the time (somewhat middle of the night) and the unexpectedness of their reunion, since the two of them had not really seen each other ever since the departure from their last race as teammates together in Abu Dhabi. Of course they had in a way taken notice of each other during the testing week, but only briefly and from afar, as they both had been busy with their respective, now different teams. So they had not talked really ever since December, and neither texted or communicated at all in any other way than liking each other’s Instagram posts and viewing their stories, in order to keep up with what the other one is doing. Because after all, they do not hate each other. Of course they don’t. They used to be best friends before Carlos’ last day at work, and even more. They have just never talked about it, but they have never argued or the like.

And probably that dynamic, combined with the surprise effect and the rest-sleepiness in his head, is the reason why the Spaniard doesn’t yell at him what the f he is doing here so late at night, waking him up and everything, but steps back from the door and actually invites Lando in - albeit still in massive confusion over this situation. Is he maybe only dreaming the whole thing…?

But on the other hand, he apparently is also glad to see him again so unexpectedly - or at least does it look like that to Lando. In the way that he watches him come into the room, with a faint shimmer of anticipation and… hope? in his chocolate-brown eyes.

And also from how his ex-teammate, who still looks strange to him in his Ferrari-shirt, is not  interested in small talk when Lando nervously makes a first comment about that this is a nice room - even if his own one, two floors down, looks pretty much just the same. The typical medium business suite that they stay in wherever they go for a race.

But in this moment, it feels so much smaller and narrower and just more… intimate, especially in the only very dim lighting - obviously, Carlos has only switched the night lamp on his bedside-table on when he has made his way to the door.

Maybe the abrupt waking is also the reason why he is not interested in having a casual chit-chat about hotel interior, but shuts it down instantly. “You did not really come here to talk about my room now, did you?”, he asks, a litte passive-aggressively, and from his face, it is beyond doubt that he would then get but angry.

Which Lando definitely doesn’t want.

Shaking his head, he says: “No, no, of course not-”

And when he sees the hopeful, begging, unspoken ‘then what…?’ in Carlos’ eyes, this is the last call that the younger one needs to speak out the truth that he has been carrying with over the whole winter: “It’s just- I- I miss you.”

Three words which hit Carlos like a thunderbolt, catching him so off-guard that he cannot even reply anything - but Lando doesn’t wait for his reaction either. As it seems, once he is talking about this, he can’t stop anymore; and so he tells Carlos everything.

That he is aware that he has never said it explicitly and has, even more, denied it even in this one press conference. But that he does miss him. That he has known it before that he would, but that he was too afraid to admit it even to himself. Because he was too scared of kicking something off  in his mind that would change everything and that he could never un-think again.

But the truth is, he misses Carlos. Every time he sits in the briefings or has to do social media content, which used to be so much fun last year when they were doing their shenanigans, or just comes to the track and sees a different number than 55 in the other side of the garage.

He misses Carlos, and- he says that he can’t really narrow down why either, but he just wanted  to let him know that.

But no, that is not true - the younger one knows exactly WHY he wanted him to know.

Because he also misses him beside him in the far too big hotel-bed at nighttime. He misses feeling his palms roaming over his skin, misses kissing him, misses sharing things with him that nobody else does. Misses him, in every aspect of his life.

However - these feelings appear to be one-sided, given how Carlos stands there and just… looks at him when he’s finished. Stares at him with wide eyes from shock, speechless, motionless.

As a result of which Lando suddenly is very aware of what he has just done here.

“S-sorry. That was weird-…”, he mumbles and makes moves to turn around and take flight from the suddenly even smaller, far too small hotel room. “I better go-”

But ere he could reach his hand out for the handle, Lando feels a grip on his wrist, and before he knows, he finds himself with his back against the door and Carlos right in front of him, staring him down with the intensity of a supernova in his eyes.

“Is that true?”, he wants to know, with his voice so low in awe that it scratches, and his face as serious as never before. “You… miss me?”

And blame it on the intensity of the moment and how close they are suddenly again, but even though he at the same time is embarrassed for his break-out, Lando can’t lie. Can’t deny it.

No more.

Carlos would see it anyway in his face, as close as they are.

So the younger one just nods, slowly; his voice hoarse from honesty. “Y-yeah…” He gulps. “A lot…”

His eyes insecurely scan Carlos’ mien for any reaction, but only for a second - cause already in the next moment, Lando finds himself pressed against the door and involved in a stormy kiss when Carlos downright desperately pushes his lips onto his.

The Briton has reckoned with everything, but not with that, but of course he does not complain - within seconds, the switch from ‘anxiety’ to ‘enjoyment’ in his brain is flicked and he without thinking returns the kiss.

It’s only for a few seconds, until Carlos once more breaks away to breathe a — by now rather superfluous — “I miss you too…” against his lips, before their mouths are locked again and they are kissing like they used to throughout all the last year; as if they had never stopped, as if December and the unevitable goodbye has never happened - but at the same time, the feelings hit so much deeper than back then.

Cause between the kisses that they share, still at the room door, Carlos tells him in chopped portions that he has been through just the same. That he has missed him all the way. That he has only understood how much he means to him — that he has always been more than just his teammate, his muppet friend, his bed neighbour — when they have been about to be separated. That he has wanted to say it and has so often in the last weeks of the season been close to do so, but that he has never dared it in the end.

Because he has been too scared that Lando wouldn’t feel the same, given how reserved the younger one has always acted when someone has addressed the topic of the team-change.

But in his overwhelm over hearing all these beautiful words from Carlos’ mouth, the younger one also doesn’t know any hold-back anymore and clears it all that up. That this has only been for self-protection. That he has had such a feeling as well, but that he has not wanted to deal with it. Has wanted to prevent the chaos that it would cause in his head, if he’d admit to himself that he is not only bisexual or ‘curious’, as he has first thought when they have started going to bed together - but that he has somehow caught actual feelings for Carlos. More than he has ever felt for anybody.

So he has just pushed every glimpse of that down, filed it under nostalgic sentimentality in the view of the upcoming end of their time together, and just tried to put on a brave front. Cause as long as you don’t think about it, it’s not true, right?

But the visit to the strip club has brought his so strainedly kept-up facade of self-betrayal to crack, and made the whole issue — the truth — impossible to ignore it any further.

Admittedly, Carlos makes big eyes of surprise when he hears that his always so innocent and younger-looking friend has been to a strip club - but this is not the time to crack jokes. Because only his experiences there, even if they do indeed sound very amusing, have made Lando realise what he feels.

What he has always felt.

“I- I guess I love you, Carlos…”, he whispers and even if a part of him still cannot believe that this is actually happening — that he is actually saying this to him —, these words feel so damn right on Lando’s tongue.

And even better do they sound in his ears, when Carlos returns the magic phrase…

Latest from then on, they both do not know any reservation anymore, and neither does one of them bother about the late hour and the exact circumstances. The only thing that matters to them are each other, about so unexpectedly being united again and to get over to the bed, in order to have it a little more comfy for the obviously following making-out-session…

Originally, this is where I saw the story ending for me: With the two of them in bed, cuddling up close and just glad over having the respective other one. I only wanted to make Lando utter a affectionate, cheeky comment like “Red suits you, by the way”, concerning the new team colours on the Spaniard and because he has not actually congratulated him on being able to wear them yet — to throw a bridge back to the beginning and the title.

But, you know, just an overall sweet, happy ending scene.

But! After an involuntary inspiration from a lovely reader (…you know who you are ♥), the scene developed further in my head and I saw Carlos giggling a “Thank you” before my inner eye - and then how the two of them exchange a look of the ‘are we thinking the same?’-kind. Yes, they are. And so, Carlos will slowly move his hands to get rid of this shirt - and then will give Lando an exclusive demonstration of what an enjoyable private dance is like… 😁 😏

I think they are too confident, or l just have a hard time being positive when it comes to Ferrari 😂, I’m seeing some people too confident as well saying Charles is going to be this season world champion, can we wait for the season to start before we get our hopes high please 😭, it will hurt less if they fuck it up this season too

It’s like Ferrari expect everyone else to hiding for next season. And I’m a big fan of Charles but the whole bromance thing that Ferrari admin are doing doesn’t quick work compared to McLaren.

With bromance for me doesn’t work with Charles and Carlos because yes it my seem that they are friendly and bounce off each other’s personalities off social media but the admin doesn’t know how to market (Charlos) compared to Mclaren who did an amazing jo. With Carlando especially with the puppets ( my favourite vid ngl) also McLaren are doing an better job with Daniel and Lando on socials this season compared the Ferrari socials.

To be Carlando are still marketable now as well and will be for a couple of years such as golf with Damien hill especially showed in some what how lando and Carlos were still really close considering the teams they represent. Also I guess it helps that Carlos, Rupert and Cousin Carlos and sainz family and still particularly close to Lando, Jon and McLaren also renting a house in Brazil together 👀
