So I got the Meet the Robinsons artbook a while ago and noticed that the last pages of the book were a collection of storyboard panels and while looking at those I stumbled across this

Wilbur: I’m just saying hypothetically how would I fix it?

I can imagine the robinsons’ family group chat is incredibly chaotic 💀

It is INSANE. Every Robinson has a unique typing style and it would take a whole cypher to understand a days worth of messages.

Because this wasn’t really a concrete ask, I’m going to write the hc’s about what each Robinsons like in the chat.

Wilbur / T!meL0rd: Misspells everything. Definitely a meme spammer. Has been banned four times.

Cornelius: Doesn’t have a cool username. Uses proper texting literate, but says ‘lol’. Uses reactions more than he talks.

Franny / FrannysFrogTheater: Her username wasn’t supposed to be that long, she misunderstood what it was. She’s always active and respond in four seconds, but it never on her phone somehow. Weird.

Gaston / CANNONBAL: TYPES IN CAPS A LOT!!!! Sends photos of everything - selfies, his cannons, nature, anything he sees.

Art / Galaxy3F: He uses voice messages a lot, and they’re often horrible audio quality. Cannot type correctly even a little. Isn’t LEGIBLE. He’s determined to figure it out though.

Laszlo / F!R3W0RK: His username has nothing to do with his hobbies. He has a typing quirk, 100%. Uses GIFs a lot, and pronounces them JIFs.

Tallulah / FashionBB🏳️‍⚧️: Also posts memes but not often. Doesn’t talk in chat a lot. Forgets punctuation a lot, but proper caps.

Fritz / FritzRobinson2: Has to use Siri to send messages because Petunia makes it hard to type. Therefor most of what he says makes no sense.

Billy / CHOOCHOO!7 : Can she use a phone? No. She breaks her phones so often her number changes twice a week. She only responds to Fritz, Joe, and Gaston. Nobody understands why.

Joe / SweatGainer : The silent stalker of the chat. He watches everything but never talks in chat. Uses reactions sometimes. Once said ‘k’ and everyone cheered.

Carl / xX.R0bo.Xx: The chat mod. Only really types if to moderate something, or to randomly ban people for his amusement. Sends TikToks in chat at night just to annoy Wilbur, who never silences his phone.

Spike / Thing #1: Did not choose his username. Starts group video calls during genuinely important times and then leaves immediately, forcing the family to one big call. Solved a lot of emergencies like this. Refuses to admit he’s intentionally being helpful.

Dimitri / Thing #2: Emojibombs the chat way too much. Unlike Spike doesn’t care about being helpful. Refuses, even.

Lefty: Couldn’t figure out a username. Posts a very formal daily report at 7am every morning, top of chat. Carl pins it.

Bud&Luc / Lovebirds: Share an account because Bud tore his phone apart for microchips. Send those random game links for free coins and beg everyone to click them. Rick rolled the chat twice.

What I think each of the Robinsons would dress up as for Halloween 🎃

Bud: Headless horseman. He goes with the interpretation that has a pumpkin for a head and, of course, he puts in on backwards.

Fritz and Petunia: Fritz wears a more old-timey get up with a dark color palette and has Petunia look like a creepy, ghostly doll.

Joe: He doesn't wear a costume at first glance, and when asked the family's response is "He is wearing a costume, he's dressed up as a *chuckle* 'regular Joe'. Get it?" Either that, or I can also see him wearing a classic vampire costume.

Tallulah and Laszlo: Duo costume. Since Laszlo flies around all the time he dresses up as an angel, while Tallulah dresses up as a devil. Which would be a role reversal of sorts for them since he's usually the troublemaker of the two while she tends to be the voice of reason.

Billie: Since there's this connection often made between psychopomps and different modes of transportation (boats, buses, and of course, trains) I can see her dressing up as the Grim Reaper.

Lefty: A Kraken, pretty self explanatory.

Spike and Dimitri: Since their whole thing is how they are literally just heads poking out of the dirt, zombies.

Lucille: I headcanon her to be a chemist, so I figure she would dress up as a witch, formulas translating into potions in this case.

Cornelius: Frankenstein.

Carl: Frankenstein's monster. Again, these two are pretty self-explanatory.

Franny: Either some kind of bog/swamp creature or the Phantom of the Opera. Radically different costumes, but I think either one would be fitting for her given her love of frogs and music.

Gaston: His whole thing is cannons, so I can see him dressing up as a pirate, specifically an undead pirate captain who went down with his ship, because of course he would also come up with an elaborate backstory for his costume.

Art: Kind of a reach, but I can see him dressing up as a werewolf, because he works in space, and the moon, and well...you guys get it.

Tiny: The family gets him a pair of wings, comically small of course, and he's a dragon now. He loves it.

Buster: The family gets him one of those little pumpkin dog costumes.

Wilbur: A ghost. Either he goes with the classic white sheet with eyeholes, or he gets Tallulah to help him get some old timey clothes, face paint that makes him look dead, and chains ala Marley's ghost. Either way, he uses a pair of hover-boots his dad invented to fly around.

People keep mentioning interviews of Meet the Robinsons characters, but I have no idea where to find them. Do you know where I can find the interviews?

Without more info to go on, I can only assume what you're referring to, anon, so hopefully this answers your question. Feel free to message me again if this isn't what you're talking about. A few of the voice actors from Meet the Robinsons were given a fun task of answering interview questions while in character. There are interviews from Goob, Mr. Willerstein, Lewis, Wilbur, Mildred, Carl, Art/Gaston, Lazlo/Tallulah, and Franny. Some of these interviews were a mix between asking in-character questions while others were just casual questions for the actor. (For example, a lot of young Goob's first monologue in the opening of the film was taken from Director Stephen J. Anderson simply asking Matthew Josten how his real-life baseball activities were going. The resulting answer led to him saying, "We've lost every game. Yesterday, the score was 1-13... It's about having fun, really. I don't really care about winning... Well, like, now I do, 'cause, like, we've lost every game, I've gotten tired of it. Come on! Let's play some baseball, okay! Okay? Not the lazy game."**) **Despite the in-movie quote being taken from what Matthew Josten literally said, he still had to re-record the real lines later. At first, these interviews were just for fun. A way to get the actors in the groove and warm up. As time went on, some of these interviews were written on purpose to give the animators something to play with and a get a feel for the characters. It is possible that these could have become bonus content at some point, but they never went anywhere and so they remained shelved. The only time I've ever seen anything said online about this content was back when this blog used to be a Meet the Robinsons themed blog and I shared behind-the-scenes fun facts and trivia from the film. I believe I had once posted summarized text snippets from these interviews as part of the 10th anniversary celebration that the fandom was going through at the time. Since having changed my blog's theme since then, those old posts were deleted. As far as I'm aware, these interviews cannot be found online. But I haven't done an extensive search into what's available online these days with MTR content, so who knows!
