Carina is afraid of Reader getting hurt (she is a police officer) and maybe, just maybe, they get hurt? You don't have to if you don't want to!!
Authors note: This story has been sitting in my finished documents for about two years haha. So maybe it's not all that well written
ᕚ---ᕘ
Working undercover was exhausting, if not draining. You were aware of it both physically and mentally, yet you accepted the job. Accepted it in hope that, like every order, it would pass quickly. You had been investigating undercover in a drug gang for several weeks now. Barely exchanged a word with your wife for endless days to protect her from the cunning mastermind of the gang. Sporadically, there was a short on-minute-conversation at a phone booth here and there, but it was not enough. On both sides.
Carina was worried sick; she only got fleeting answers from your lieutenant on how you were doing. She was so concerned for your life that the brunette even fell ill and had to be hospitalized. When you found out, you wanted to break your cover and risk your life just so you could see her. But she managed to stop you, promising she would take care of herself until you were back home.
You missed everything about the cozy apartment you shared with her. The scent, your bed. Even the smell of cheese that had spread throughout the kitchen. But mostly the closeness of your girlfriend and the warmth that reached you every time you had a hard day at work. All of that you had to exchange for a cold, sparsely furnished one-room apartment outside of the city.
With each passing day it became harder to maintain the disguise. Everything got on your last nerves and ripped you apart. On the very first day, you wished that you could leave work and go back to your family but it had taken you a long time to earn the trust of the drug lord, Joaquín González, before he gave you permission to do big jobs. You were basically his second hand and knew everything about his business.
Even so, you still had to wait to snag all of his followers. At least until this evening where the cruical deal would go through. If everything went smoothly, you could go back to your old life tomorrow. Back to your family. The day passed faster than you could have imagined and it slowly started to get dark. The pink tone of the setting sun gave you a feeling of security and freedom- a feeling you had not had in a long time and made you believe that everything would turn out the way you wished for.
Slowly, you sat down on the chair you had prepared and waited out the last hours before your assignment while you looked through the small window. The landscape was swallowed up in a deep darkness, so completely dark that you felt the cold and hatefulness filling up your heart. Without the feeling, you could not think straight in the violent drug clan. This feeling had changed you, you felt it deep inside. That freezing cold surrounded you and gave you the courage to do any assignment without hesitation so you would not experience pain. But you still hoped to shed that mask once you were safe in the arms of your beloved Italian.
The mask had so often saved you from a mental collapse on missions, that you might not want to take it off as protection for further police operations and it shocked you deeply, that you even believed in wanting to keep it. After each undercover assignment, Carina was always able to give you the feeling of security, and the conscience that everything would be fine again. But you were not sure if she could still save you from what ate away your soul this time.
Of course you knew that she would do everything in her power to get your old self back- Carina had managed it all the time. The brunette would take care of you, spoil you like your life was more important than hers. This time was different. You had been separated from your old life for far too long to make up for with a few days of utmost nurturing.
A small tear, which you quickly wiped away, rolled down your face. You were not allowed to cry, you had to blame yourself for your fate and now you had to face the consequences.
ᕚ---ᕘ
"Where is she? Where is Y/n?" yelled a rough and worried voice at a nurse of the emergency room and you could immediately assign it to Carina. Frantically, she made her way to search between the occupied beds for the woman for whom she was the emergency contacts. „Deluca, calm down. She is here, I will lead you to her"
To her ears, the spoken sentence of Owen Hunt sounded like a war. Knowing the seriousness of the situation, she felt nothing but pure fear. Worries enveloped the woman and she could not imagine finding you badly injured somewhere in the emergency room and realizing that you were hovering between life and death.
The brunette swallowed hard. She missed you so much and just wanted to back healthily. Quietly, she trotted behind the head of trauma surgery, very carefully and slowly, until she came to a stop in front of a curtained bed. There, she already heard your pain-distorted grumbling while stilling in her movement.
Carina had never forgotten how your voice sounded, longed for it every single minute of the day. And now, hearing it without the hum of the phones terminating line, her heart was racing like the first time she had met you. She was only centimeters away from you, as close as she had not been for a long time. "It hurts like hell!"
"I wanted to give you a pain hemmer but you refused," she heard the soft chuckle of Miranda Bailey and a stone rolled from her heavy heart. You were not badly injured, at least not bad enough to be concerned for your life. "Now live with it"
As the brunette doctor moved the curtain with a firm grip to gain access to you, she looked down at you with glassy eyes. Your clothes and face were spattered with dirt and blood, your jeans cut down on one leg to the thigh. Her eyes widened to the bulled hole in your femur, blood still dripping slightly through the stitches already in place.
"Bella, what happened? Stai bene?" (Are you alright?) her voice trembled and was overwhelmed by choked tears. She sneaked through the narrow space between bed and curtain and knelt down next to it. Her warm hand softly cupped your cold one, that was gripping the bed sheets, and squeezed it tightly.
"The deal was overrun by my colleagues. The shooting was in full swing and some were trying to escape. I wanted to help another police officer and I caught a ricochet myself. It is half as bad, it was a straight through shot"
Disorted in pain, your body tensed up briefly before relaxing shortly after; abruptly pinching the hand of your wife before your eyes turned back to her. Deeply, her fawn eyes stared at you, some pitiful tears welling up from them before they closed. "For a brief moment I thought I lost you, mi amor"
Thinking lines appeared on her face and you swallowed impercepitibly. You knew her mind was working through every negative scenario she had ever saw in movies. A faint smile appeared on your face and you broke away from her before you put your hand under her chin and tenderly pulled her to you. "Carina, look at me"
The addressed opened her eyes slightly, pure was immediately recognizable. A tear rolled down the Italian´s face and she grabbed your midsection to cross the last empty space between you. "You did not lost me. I am still here"
Gentle kisses spread across her ruddy cheeks, forehead and nose; trying to catch her bitter tears. You hated when she cried. But you hated yourself even more for causing those sadness upon her. Such a great woman like Carina did not deserve to be in a constant state of fear and you were more than sorry. It broke your heart and shattered it into pieces.
"You won't do me another mission like this. Mai più, capito?" (Never again, understand?) she said insistently. Her arms broke free from you and crossed over her crumpled pink scrubs, expertly starting to pout. "Se lo fai di nuovo, ti uccido io stesso" (If you do it again, I'll kill you personally)
That it was your last police operations for the time being, which you would do in the next few weeks, was more than clear to you. But you did not care. The most important thing you had to worry about now was your wife, whom you had neglected for weeks, and your health.

Hey hey! I couldn’t sleep so I decided to rewrite the scene where Carina and Maya first interacted at the bar from Carina’s POV. I made some slight changes but I absolutely adore the two of them together and would like to write more original content. Let me know what you think!
(PS, I’m truly yearning for this ship 🥺👉🏽👈🏽)
***
I was in love with Maya.
There was no question about it. I could feel her presence every time she walked into a room, and her smile was captivating. She took my breath away even with the slightest glance in my direction.
I wanted to know every part of her, but she always seemed so far out of reach. Maya was the kind that had this tough-girl aura about her, yet I could tell she was so much more than that. She was incredibly ambitious, that much was clear, and her leadership made her near oblivious to the world around her when she was saving lives. God how I wish I could express how desperately I wanted her to be mine with the same ease she has doing what she loves.
Maya and I have been acquaintances of sorts since I started working at Grey Sloan. We’d always been friendly in passing when she came in with calls, and have casual conversations while she waited around the hospital for her team. Yet our relationship was simple; I was a doctor, she was a firefighter. There was nothing complex about it. I would always just be a shadow lost in reality.
This changed on Saturday night.
I was sitting in a dive bar in the middle of the main strip of downtown Seattle, sipping my glass of wine slowly as I played back the stressful events of the day with tired eyes.
I looked up as the bells chimed when the door swung open, Maya gracefully striding into the tavern, a breeze of cool, spring air following closely behind.
“Whisky neat, please,” she spoke softly to the bartender. Her voice was sweeter than honey.
Bouncing on her toes while she waited for her drink, she spotted me sitting nearby.
“Bad day?” I asked.
“Something like that,” she said, taking a sip of liquor moments after.
“You’re a firefighter right? Aren’t you at Grey Sloan sometimes?” I pried. I knew exactly who she was, but I needed a conversation starter.
She nodded, taking another sip.
She looked effortlessly beautiful as always, but especially so out of uniform. Her long blonde hair was neatly pulled back into a low ponytail, perfectly accentuating the washed-out jeans and tee she was wearing.
Trying not to get too caught up in her, I asked if she wanted company.
Seemingly satisfied with this, she sat down next to me and we drank in silence for a while.
It was after she began to feel a slight buzz from the alcohol that Maya began to speak again.
“I wish more people understood that the work we do is exhausting,” was all she said, looking at me with the most deadpan expression.
I had to laugh. After all, she was right, and I felt more connected to her in a way I hadn’t been before. We were talking to each other as people, not colleagues, for the first time.
“Well, in my defence, I’m not the one fighting fires all day,” I replied.
“God, I can’t remember the last time there was a weekend when I wasn’t shouting orders a hundred miles a minute.” She sounded more defeated than I’d bet she’d like to admit. Her unwavering confidence was incredibly attractive.
“And I suppose you have better ways to spend the weekend, Bella?” I teased back. I was reaching far out to catch her interest.
“I’m sure I could show you a thing or two about getting hot and bothered that doesn’t involve running into a burning building.” Maya said. The sultry tone in her voice caught me off guard. This was the start of everything I’d wanted.
Mamma Mia, I thought, silently cursing. I bit my lip as I carefully looked her up and down, my head spinning out of control with the mere thought of her.
“Would you like to get out of here?”
I was trusting my heart on this one.

Carina DeLuca und Maya Bishop taking care after Reader has an operation and gets home. Readers emotions are wild because she is in so much pain
ᕚ---ᕘ
Hospital hallways have never been known for their warmth, but on this rainy afternoon the gray walls and sterile floor seemed to intensify the cold. You sat on the edge of the bed in a jogging suit that was way too big for you and didn't fit, trying to sit up.
One of the nurses on the ward had changed your wound bandage for the last time and the doctor had just handed over the discharge papers, but the pain that was still throbbing and burning in your body made every movement a challenge for you.
There was a gentle knock and your head snapped to the door as it opened and two familiar faces entered the room, their faces brightening at the sight of you. "Hey, sleepyhead. Ready to break free from this joint? How are you feeling?" the blonde asked happily, smiling as she made her way over to you. A hand cupped the side of your neck before her lips pressed slowly and gently against yours, her longing for you insanely strong.
“Better, I guess,” you murmured as you struggled to your feet, standing on unsteady legs. You tried to smile, but you couldn't hide the fact that the pain was deeper than you expected. "I'm so ready to get out of here."
Now Carina had finally approached you, with a bouquet of fresh flowers in her hand. She knew that you liked roses best and just the smell of them made you feel better and she was happy that you were finally feeling better. Nevertheless, concern shone through the loving smile and lively brown eyes as she handed you the flowers and also placed a big kiss on your cheek. "Ciao amore mio,"
"Thank you baby." You replied, feeling a breath of freshness flow through the bouquet. It was as if a bit of normality had returned to this clinical room where you had been lying for a week. But now it was time to finally get out of here and get home, where you could heal yourself properly with the help of your two wives.
Together the two of you slowly walked with you down the long hallway to the elevators. You limped slightly, supported by Maya's strong arm, while Carina led the way, clearing the path. The world outside seemed contrasting and loud compared to the quiet, sterile environment of the hospital room.
"You have to tell me if it gets too much, my love. We can always use a wheelchair," the blonde offered as you exited the hospital and you shook your head with a hint of determination, despite the pain was still deep. "It'll be fine, don't worry."
The rain enveloped you and Carina opened an umbrella to protect you from the falling drops while Maya still gently walked you to the car door. Quickly opening it, she carefully lowered you onto the back seat of the car. A small cry of pain escaped your lips.
"Where does it hurt the most, Bella?" The brunette asked as she started the engine and looked in the rearview mirror to catch your gaze. "Everywhere. But Bailey and Webber have made it clear to me that it will probably be like this for another two days before things go uphill." You replied, trying to smile, but it was hard to hide the pain.
Meanwhile, Maya sat in the backseat with you before buckling up her seatbelt. She squeezed your hand gently, running her thumb over your skin. "We're here for you, okay? You'll feel better at home."
You just nodded tiredly and closed your eyes. The way home was characterized by quiet moments and the gentle sound of rain on the car roof. When you finally reached the front door, Carina carefully helped you out of the car and up to the first floor, while Maya ran forward and opened the apartment door.
In the warm light of the hallway, the home immediately felt inviting and the blonde carefully placed the bouquet on the dresser while the brunette led you to the bedroom and gently lowered you onto it. "Rest, y/n. We'll take care of the rest," she spoke, covering you with a blanket before giving you a kiss on the forehead and quietly leaving the room.
Your eyes closed from tiredness and the feeling of the loving atmosphere of your home, which was definitely beneficial to your continued recovery, and you fell into a deep sleep that consumed you for quite a while.
Only when the sun's rays gently filtered through the closed curtains and bathed the bedroom in a mild light did you wake up and, still weak from the previous operation, looked at the ajar door. "Maya, Car?" you called out to the two, hoping they were home.
The two immediately entered the room with worried looks and a tray full of breakfast. The Italian carefully sat down on the edge of the bed and smiled encouragingly at you. "Buongiorno, tesoro. How did you sleep?" You looked at both of them confused, but returned the smile weakly. "Good morning? Did I really only sleep for a few minutes?"
"No, silly. You slept through the whole of yesterday and the night," Maya said with a soft giggle as she pushed herself off the doorframe and joined you on the bed. "How are you feeling today?"
"Not so bad, I guess. But the pain is still there." You answered, still slightly groggy, and the blonde handed you a cup of water and a bowl of freshly peeled fruit from the tablet. "Here, maybe this will help a little. Afterwards you'll get your painkillers."
You nodded gratefully and took a small sip of water. Meanwhile, Carina carefully placed a cold hand on your forehead to see if you had developed a fever overnight, but luckily there was no trace of it. "Since there were a few complications with your surgery, it will take some time for you to fully recover."
"I know, but the side effects suck hard," you spoke, thinking about them that had become more noticeable lately. You struggled with pain, nausea, and general exhaustion. Even the effort of standing up seemed overwhelming and Maya helped you up. "How does the pain feel?" She asked carefully, moving closer to you to place a hand on your thigh.
You sighed, trying to find the right words for the aching and warm pain you felt, circling the sides of the bandages with your index fingers. "It's like my body is no longer mine. Everything hurts and I feel so weak."
They both nodded understandingly and lay down next to you on each other's sides. They cuddled and snuggled up to you, nothing stopping them - not even the household. You lay in bed together all day, only getting up when absolutely necessary and otherwise just watching trash TV.
The next few days continued with a gentle rhythm of care and support. Carina and Maya took turns making sure you weren't alone. They helped you walk, gave you medicine, and brought you meals to your bed or couch. Together they created an atmosphere of love and care that seemed to dispel the dark clouds of pain.
In the quiet moments, Maya would read you one of your new and unread psychological thrillers while Carina massaged your hands or shoulders. The sensitive and reassuring phrases of care penetrated your consciousness, creating a small oasis of distraction in the midst of the storm of physical discomfort.
One evening, as the sun slowly disappeared behind the horizon, you and Maya sat on the balcony while Carina prepared a light meal for you. The conversations were quiet, but the love and support spoke louder than the words they could ever offer you.
"I know, it's hard," the brunette said as she walked through the balcony doors and handed you a plate. "But you're doing great. Every day brings you one step closer to recovery."
You smiled tiredly, but with more energy than you had a few days ago. The pain had mostly subsided and your manner was slowly returning. "I'm glad to have you by my side. It gives me strength to carry on."
Together, strengthened by love and devotion, you went through the ups and downs of your health with them. In these moments of community, you found the strength to walk the path to complete healing together.

For you, the university was not only a place of learning, but also a melting pot of emotions. As the daughter of Maya and Carina, you felt the expectations weighing on your shoulders. Your mother, a respected obstetrician-gynecologist, had already made her mark in the medical world, and you felt the urge to follow in her footsteps.
Your parents had never put any pressure on you to follow the same path as either of them. Nevertheless, you felt an inner obligation to continue your family tradition. Even as a little girl, you listened with fascination when your mother talked about the challenges and successes of her job. The love of medicine seemed to be embedded in your DNA.
The campus pulsed with life as you moved through the crowd, clutching your books on anatomy and surgery, eager to head to your lectures. Like every day, your heart beat faster with excitement and a hint of uncertainty.
In your first year at university you found yourself in a world characterized by complex theories and demanding internships. The anatomy books became your constant companion and you learned to understand human anatomy like a puzzle. In the labs, you made precise cuts and analyzed tissue samples with the dedication of an artist who wanted to perfect every detail of her work.
The challenges of studying became clear as you approached your first internship at the hospital. Beads of sweat appeared on your forehead as you assisted in your first procedure. The smell of disinfectant and the hum of medical equipment surrounded you. You felt the responsibility getting bigger and bigger.
But with each passing day, not only did the challenge grow, but so did your passion. You soaked up the knowledge like it was the sweetest honey and found comfort in the advice of your professors.
The lecture hall you had just entered was filled with a hushed murmur of inquisitive students as you slumped in your seat. The excited atmosphere before another exciting lecture permeated the room as the professor began to talk about the latest advances in surgery. Surrounded by attentive fellow students, you listened intently to the expert's words and the technical details that rained down on you.
The projections on the wall showed complex surgical procedures as the professor delivered her explanations with enthusiasm and expertise and you tried to understand the connections between the details. You found yourself in a stream of information that took you into the fascinating world of medical innovations. Your eyes sparkled with excitement, taking in every sentence as if they could be keys to some secret knowledge.
Just before the professor was about to play a video showing complex open-heart surgery, a shrill alarm code, followed by an urgent warning, ripped through the air. "Attention, active shooter. Barricade yourself in the rooms." The room froze for a moment. You sat up, your eyes wide in surprise. An uneasy feeling settled in your stomach.
Students frantically ran to corners and sought shelter under tables. The professor tried in vain to calm the panicked crowd. But the situation escalated further when muffled shots were heard from outside the building. Recognizing this soundscape captured the attention of everyone in the room. Faces faded with fear and a feeling of helplessness spread.
Your heart was in your throat, you could hear the pulsing of your own heartbeat as you also pushed yourself into a corner, trying to keep a clear head. Panic was in the air, and thoughts of the surgical procedures and advances paled in front of the pressing reality.
A wave of fear passed through you and your thoughts whirled wildly. The idea of the place of learning becoming a scene of violence shook you to the core.
In a moment that seemed like an eternity, doors were thrown open and hooded figures entered. Another wave of fear swept through the room as people realized that this was no mere alarm, but a cruel reality. The shadow of disaster had entered the lecture hall.
Armed men in dark clothes now dominated the scene. Your class was taken hostage and a cold shiver ran through your body. Your eyes searched for allies, for a means of escape, but the men with weapons clung to their control over the desperate crowd.
The professor, your fellow students and you were trapped in a nightmare that was unfolding at breakneck speed. The situation worsened when the men began making demands and firing wildly in the air. You suddenly found yourself in the middle of a threatening drama that you never thought possible.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Maya and Carina stood in the fire station's supply room, surrounded by boxes full of medical supplies, taking inventory of necessary medical supplies. The mood was focused as the two checked lists and made sure all life-saving supplies were present.
"Do you think we should order more bandages? To be on the safe side?" the blonde asked as she pulled out individual small packages, counted them and then sorted them into the cupboards. "Yes, I think so. You can't have enough of them, especially on larger missions."
The sounds of the plastic wraps and packaging had created a calming atmosphere, but it was suddenly broken by a shrill voice. Victoria, who until recently had been sitting in the relaxation room, stormed into the small inventory room, her eyes wide with dismay. "You must come with me immediately," she said in a trembling voice. Her hands were gripping the remote control tightly.
Maya and Carina exchanged a worried look and dropped everything. Both women's hearts began to pound wildly in their chests as they quickly left the room and followed their friend. As they entered the room, they both stopped in the middle of it.
The television flickered as the newscaster solemnly announced the terrible truth. "A serious incident has occurred at Seattle University. Armed attackers have entered the building and taken hostages. Police are on scene, but the situation is extremely critical."
Maya and Carina stared at the screen in shock as the reporter reported on the dramatic scenes, hitting them like a blow. Images of students running out filled the room. An icy shiver ran through the two of them when the name of the affected university was mentioned several times. A feeling of helplessness fell like a leaden veil over their hearts. The words invaded their thoughts, and the images of their beloved daughter studying at this institution seemed like a fragile glass threatened by an impending storm. "Y/n.. she has classes today. She's there."
Carina felt her knees weakening and tears forming in her eyes. The blonde reflexively clung to the back of the sofa. The world of the two, which had just seemed so familiar and safe, was thrown out of control. The maternal instincts awoke with frightening intensity when they thought of the dact that you were currently in a dangerous situation. "Oh mio Dio, no," the brunette whispered, her voice shaky. Maya, usually a rock in the surf, felt tears burning in her eyes too. Fear for her daughter engulfed them both like a blazing fire.
"We have to go to the university immediately," Maya spoke, interrupted by the muffled sound of the news in the background. Carina nodded, the determination in her eyes reflecting the inner strength that mothers could mobilize in times of crisis.
The fear, worry and hope blurred together as they set off together, seeking reassurance that they would do everything in their power to get you out of there.

Dusk fell over the city as Maya, Carina and you decided to spend a cozy evening at home, cooking together and enjoying the free time as a family. The atmosphere was one of heartwarming laughter and the familiar smell of delicious ingredients.
Maya had taken the evening off to spend more time with you. Her job as a firefighter often involved unpredictable events and long working days, which is why such evenings together were particularly precious for your little family. The three of you worked in sync in the kitchen as the sound of happy chatter and laughter permeated the walls. You helped prepare the ingredients while the blonde prepared the aromatic lasagna sauce and made plans for after dinner.
A colorful sight spread across the airy kitchen. Fresh vegetables, fragrant herbs and a variety of spices covered the work surface. The food processor whirred while the Italian woman prepared the dough for fresh pasta. You, stood behind her to look over your mother's shoulder with curious eyes and pick up some tips.
“It smells so good!” You whispered enthusiastically and the two smiled at you, Carina briefly pulling you close to place a kiss on your temple. "It'll taste really good too, Bella."
The smell of garlic, onions and fresh tomatoes filled the kitchen and mixed with the pleasant atmosphere as you and Maya started to set the dining table. Time seemed to stand still as you sat down a short while later and approached the home-made meal that was filled with love. "You really have a talent for the kitchen, y/n. Maybe you should think about becoming a chef." Carina said, clearly proud of you, and you laughed. "Maybe I will. Or I'll become a firefighter. Or at least a surgeon.."
But before everyone could take the first forkful of lasagna, the shrill sound of Maya's radio pierced the harmonious silence. All three froze for a moment before the blonde looked around apologetically, narrowing her eyes. "I'm sorry, but I have to check this. It's an emergency call," she explained as she stood up and hastily searched for the device that was lying on the living room table. "A serious fire in a high-rise building requires 19 to be present immediately."
The joy in the air seemed to fade as the reality of Maya's responsibilities as a firefighter became present again. You looked over at her worriedly as she hurried into the bedroom and put on her firefighter uniform before saying goodbye to you with a quick kiss on the forehead to face the unknown of the new mission. "I love you guys. I'll be back as soon as possible."
With a final, determined look, she left the house, leaving you with a fearful heart. The laughter stopped and the kitchen, which had previously been filled with joy, now seemed quiet and deserted.
For the next minutes, your home became enveloped in nervous tension. You could already see the images of the blazing flames and the sound of the sirens in your mind, unable to get them out of your head. Your fear seemed to grow stronger with each emergency call. The idea of your mother having to fight fire in dangerous situations put you in a constant state of fear and panic.
Carina clearly sensed your fear and tried to calm you down with all her care. She would often sit with you and talk about the importance of Maya's job and how she was well trained and experienced. But your thoughts weren't so easy to calm down. Your fears enveloped you like a thick fog that made your heart feel heavy. "Amore mio, I promise you, Maya knows her job very well. She is strong and has the right training. You have to trust her."
You nodded, but the look of pure panic remained in your eyes as your heart pounded wildly in your chest and your body began to tremble. You couldn't keep your mind off your mother. Every time Maya was called to a new mission, your heart clenched with worry and you could hardly breathe. The persistent fear that permeated you overshadowed the present.
"She'll be back safely. You don't have to worry, okay? The safety of the team members at Station 19 is the top priority for everyone involved," she tried again, trying to ease the uncertainty in your eyes and complete the dinner. "Mom is a professional at what she does."
The smells of the now cold dish disappeared and your mind continued to wander when another beeper rang. This time it was Carina's. It was another emergency call that forced your other mother to come to work in the emergency room.
"I have to go to the hospital, sweetheart. The patients affected by the fire are being taken to Grey Sloan. I'm needed," she explained softly, her brow furrowing as she placed a hand on your shoulder. The words triggered another wave of panic in you that you could no longer suppress. "Please, not you too. Please stay here. I'm so scared. Please!"
“Hey, hey, hey,” she spoke carefully and stood up, pulling you into a tight hug. The gentle sway of her arms barely stopped your running tears, your body trembling in her arms. "If it calms you down, you can come with me and read some books in my office. I don't want to leave you alone with your fears."
ᕚ---ᕘ
The sun had already set when you and Carina rushed into the busy emergency room at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The panic in your eyes reflected the constant fear for your mother. Carina held your hand tightly, trying to calm you down as she navigated you down the hallway.
The atmosphere in the emergency room was intense. Doctors and nurses rushed from one patient room to the next while paramedics carried in the injured. The smell of disinfectant and the muffled murmur of conversation filled the air. You could feel the knotting tension inside you, getting worse by the second as you walked past the beds filled with people with burns and serious injuries. The image of Maya and the chance of her also ending up in the hospital injured like the rest of the people crept into your mind and your heart began to ache with fear once more.
Your mother led you to her office on the top floor, which was shielded from any hectic activity. "You can safely wait here, love. I'll see what's going on and make sure mom comes upstairs to you as soon as she returns from her mission."
You nodded and slowly walked into the room. Carina gently squeezed your shoulder again before leaving the office and heading back to the emergency room, leaving you alone.
Sitting on the chair next to the door, you tried to organize your thoughts. The images of the injured people in the emergency room were burned into your memory. A tingling sensation ran through your body and you forced yourself to take a deep breath.
The hum of muffled conversation filtered through the closed door as you watched the time and waited for your mothers. The scenes played out in your head of your mom fighting the flames and your mother caring for the injured. The thought of your mothers operating in this chaos increased your fears.
The time in the hospital crept by slowly, and your thoughts continued to revolve around your parents, especially Maya. You couldn't suppress the worry inside you, so you began meticulously monitoring the messages on your phone as you paced around the room. As the first reports of the fire came to you, you felt your fear building at a rapid pace.
With every word you read, another tidal wave of panic seemed to build. The images of fire and smoke described on the news hit you like a blow. You could literally feel the burning intensity of the flames burning your skin.
Your heart was racing, your hands were shaking, and your breathing was becoming shallower. The news reports seemed to confirm your worst fears, and the idea that your mom, Maya, was in the middle of a dangerous inferno almost made you lose your mind. But then the door opened and Carina stepped in. Her expression was serious, but the change in your features made her rush to you immediately. "Y/n, Bella. What happened?"
You could barely find your words as you turned over your phone to see the newscaster exclaiming about the terrible news. "Mom's still in there. She's in danger."
Carina tried to stay calm herself to stabilize you. She hugged herself tightly and walked with you to her desk, your eyes fixed on the closed door, hoping that Maya would soon be at your side as the relentless clock continued to tick. "Mi amore, the media often tends to be more dramatic in its reporting. Let's wait for official news before drawing conclusions, okay? If something had happened to her, Andy or Jack would have already called."
The brunette's words barely reached your frightened soul. The dark panic attacked and overwhelmed you with full force, and you felt the world around you begin to spin. Your chest felt tight and the world blurred before your eyes.
You sat on a chair, surrounded by white walls that, in your agitated state, looked like the shadowy scene of a nightmare. The brightness of the hospital lights seemed ominous, and the silence of the room was overshadowed by the deafening sounds of your own fears.
Thoughts of Maya's possible danger lost all reason. Every time you tried to breathe deeper, the air seemed to disappear like a scarce resource, and the flames of fear only flickered higher. Your gaze was blank and frozen, caught in a whirlpool of terror and worry.
Carina reacted immediately and pushed you into her desk chair. She tried to calm you down while you were overwhelmed. "Breathe with me, sweetheart. Inhale deeply and exhale slowly. I'm here, love." she whispered softly.
The panic attack was reaching its peak, but with each calming touch and empathetic word, the wave seemed to slowly subside. The Italian kneeled down in front of you and placed her hands gently on your knees. "Y/n, listen to me. We can do this together. We will erase this fear together." The words were difficult to reach you, but she didn't let go of it. She tried to calm you down with slow breaths. You gasped for air, but gradually, the control of your breathing returned.
Time stretched, and with every breath you fought your way out of the shackles of panic. The cries of fear became quieter and your vision gradually cleared. Carina held you tightly as the last remnants of fear coursed through you.
While your mother slowly got you back to normal breathing, Maya entered the emergency room exhausted, accompanied by the last patients of her risky fire mission. The experiences of today's fight against the flames had left them scarred.
The sounds of the emergency room came through the front door as she pushed herself through the crowd. She felt the exhaustion in her bones, but the thought of seeing her daughter and her wife again was the only bright spot after the tiring hours. Climbing the stairs to the upper floor, she soon entered her wife's office. You both looked up as the door opened suddenly, a relieved smile lighting up your features. "Mom, you're back!"
Maya nodded tiredly, her uniform marked by smoke and ash as you rushed into her arms. "How are you doing?" She asked you, but you didn't answer and instead snuggled closer to her. A questioning look rushed over her face and she pressed her lips together before looking at Carina, who stood up and immediately walked up to her. "She had a severe panic attack when news of the fire first surfaced. I calmed her down, but she was very worried about you."
Her heart clenched and she pulled away from you. Not hesitating for a second, she placed her fingers under your chin and forced you to look up at her. Your eyes were bloodshot and your cheeks were still wet from crying. "I'm here, y/n. Everything's fine, see?"
You sobbed quietly, the tears trapped in your panic now flowing with a sense of relief as you took a deep breath. The pent-up tension slowly let go. "I was so scared, mom. The news... I thought you..."
Maya held you closer to her. The three of you stood close together, soaked in the warmth of reunion. The flames of fear in your heart were extinguished, and in that moment you found comfort and support in her arms. "I'm here, and I'm safe. You don't have to worry."

Carina&Maya x daughter
Daughter is old enough to go do things on her own or with a few friends like go to the movies or a restaurant. All she has to do is tell her mom’s where she’s going. Daughter is informed about a little get together at a friends house after going out for dinner, daughter told Maya and Carina she was going out for dinner but not the “after party.” Daughter knows she wouldn’t be allowed to go because it was at a house her moms were unfamiliar with.
Daughter ends up going to the party and tells herself she will only be another hour or so, but time slips away. The party is held in the basement so cell service is pretty much zero.
The party has drinking but daughter know better than to take it. However daughter has a severe allergy to peanuts. There was a table full of snacks and miscellaneous things, nothing was labeled. Everyone was having a good time and daughter wasn’t thinking about anything, she was eating a cookie that was on a platter on the table and she really enjoyed it. The person who brought them said to her “oh yeah those are my mom’s famous cookies” about 5 mins later daughter started to feel really warm and her face was becoming very red and patchy. She collapsed. Her one friend asked what was in the cookies and sure enough they were peanut butter cookies. All of the underage teens were freaking out while someone called 911
Carina was working but Maya had the day off. Andy and Victoria arrived to the house with the aid car. They got to the basement and realized it was (daughter) and acted fast and took her to the hospital. Once settled in the hospital Andy got ahold of her moms to tell them.
So sorry this is long! Thoughts? I know a peanut allergy is cliché but I didn’t want the daughter to drink knowing she can’t go behind her mom’s backs like that. It was just a bunch of preteens thinking they were cool cause they stole a few drinks from their parents cabinets (I’m thinking parents aren’t home) anywhooo I hope this is okay :)) -🦋
ᕚ---ᕘ
Maya Bishop and Carina Deluca were preparing for their upcoming shift at Station 19 that afternoon. The sounds of running engines and the occasional ringing of the duty telephone filled the air as the blonde checked the equipment. Carina, meanwhile, counted the supplies so that the aid car team could make the best possible care of an injury before she made her way back to Grey Sloan.
The two of them were completely absorbed in their work and did not notice a person, a young girl, walking through the open gates, a bright smile and lively eyes betraying anticipation. "Hey, mom, hey mama." You greeted your mothers cheerfully and they both turned around in shock, but returned the smile when they noticed that it was none other than you.
"Hey my sweet. What brings you here?" Maya asked, now completely turning away from her work and giving you your full attention.
"I just wanted to let you know that I'm going out to dinner with some friends at a restaurant tonight," you explained excitedly, pushing yourself into her outstretched arms. "It's nothing special, just a casual meeting."
Maya and Carina exchanged a look and couldn't suppress their smiles when they heard the news. "That sounds great, y/n. Thanks for coming over and letting us know. Which restaurant are you going to?"
You thought for a moment, briefly checking your phone to tell them the real name of the restaurant. "We decided on a restaurant named 'La Trattoria'. It's not far from here and apparently has great pasta. Y/bf/n drives us there and she also takes me home afterwards."
"That sounds like a good choice, bella," Carina agreed, giving you a small kiss on the cheek as a late greeting and early goodbye. "Have fun and take care. Don't forget to let us know when you're home safely."
"Of course, mama. I'll watch the clock and send you a text. See you later!" you nodded to them as you waved goodbye and left the fire station. A contented sigh escaped the brunette as she watched you go. "Our daughter is growing up, isn't she?"
Maya nodded to her and crossed the last few centimeters that separated her from her wife. Her arms wrapped tightly around her middle from behind while her head rested on her shoulder. "Yes, she's getting older and more independent. But as long as she always informs us where she's going, everything will be fine," she murmured, her gaze shifting towards the open gates where you had recently disappeared entirely.
Meanwhile, your best friend intercepted you on a corner near the fire station and took you with her. You entered the cozy Italian restaurant 'La Trattoria' and were greeted by the tempting smell of pasta and pizza. You both looked around for your other friends and found them already sitting at a table near the window, waiting for you. With a smile you both walked over and sat down.
As you ate together in a cozy atmosphere, the conversation was lively and funny, and you felt comfortable in the company of your closest friends when suddenly one of your friends' cell phone rang. He immediately pulled it out of his pocket and saw a message from one of her friends sending him the address to a party.
"Hey, did you also get the chain message from the party?" he whispered excitedly, placing his open phone on the table to show everyone the online flyer he had received. You raised your eyes and listened intently, not focusing on the phone. "What party do you mean? Where is it?"
Your friend grinned widely. "A huge house party at Jason's, the guy a grade above us. Everyone's talking about it. It's supposed to be legendary!"
You felt a tightening in your stomach and your heart began to beat faster. A party sounded tempting, but you also knew that your mothers had only allowed you to go out to eat with your friends. The idea of telling them you wanted to go to a party afterwards made you feel uneasy.
"When is the party?" You asked uncertainly, taking a sip of your cool drink, not knowing if you should go. "It's supposed to start at 9 p.m. That's still two hours away. Are you in?"
You hesitated for a moment, torn. Should you go? Your mind raced as you weighed the consequences. On one hand, you knew that it would be a violation of your mothers' trust if you just went to a party without telling them. On the other hand, you also knew that you probably wouldn't get permission to go there if you asked.
"What's up, are you okay?" your best friend asked, noticing your hesitation. You bit your lip, unsure of what to do. "It's nothing, I'm in."
Your friends cheered and immediately started making plans for the party as they got back to their food. You tried to suppress your rising doubts. It was just a party for 9th and 10th graders and you were only going to stop by for an hour anyway. What could possibly go wrong?
When it came time to leave for the party, you felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. You had decided not to say anything to Maya and Carina and you really hoped that everything would go well.
On the way to the party, you tried to get excited about the night ahead, but a small part of your conscience nagged at you. You knew you should be honest with your mothers, but in that moment you couldn't ignore the urge for freedom and adventure.
Several minutes later and a sigh of inner conflict, you entered the basement to the party and immersed yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the night. The music was ringing in your ears and people were happily dancing together, immediately feeling alive. You glanced at the clock and repeatedly promised yourself that you would only stay for an hour.
But time flew by. The music, the laughter and the excitement of the people around you captivated you. Hours passed and you found yourself getting deeper into the party. But at some point you noticed that your cell phone had no reception when you wanted to look at the clock. Panic rose in you as you realized that you couldn't tell your parents that you were going to be away longer than planned. But the thought was quickly overshadowed by the party atmosphere and you decided not to worry. It would be fine.
As the night progressed, the celebrations became wilder. Drinks were passed around with a stronger percentage and you were asked to join in more often. But you knew you couldn't go too far. Despite the fun you had, you kept a clear head and stayed away from alcohol. Instead, you decided to indulge in the delicious snacks that lay in the corner of the room.
The table was covered with a variety of goodies: chips, candy, cookies and other tempting things. You smiled as you approached and began exploring the different options. You grabbed a small plate and began placing a selection of the snacks on it.
As you looked further around the table, you noticed a platter of particularly tempting looking cookies. They were perfectly formed and looked incredibly delicious. You couldn't resist and reached for one of the cookies.
You took a bite, closing your eyes in pleasure as the taste unfolded on your tongue. It was incredible - the perfect mix of sweet, soft and crunchy. You couldn't help but let out a contented sigh as you enjoyed another cookie.
Suddenly you heard an unfamiliar voice, that came closer to you. "Oh, there's someone enjoying my mother's famous cookies," she spoke and you quickly opened your eyes, looking up at the older girl. “Your mom makes really amazing cookies,” you remarked, nodding and reaching for another one.
The party continued to rage around you, but for a moment you were just lost in the delicious world. You savored every bite while chatting with your friends and living life to the fullest. But after a few minutes you started to feel uncomfortable. Your skin began to tingle and you felt heat flood your body.
Panic rose within you as you realized what was happening. You had an allergic reaction. Your thoughts were swirling and you tried to stay calm, but the symptoms were getting worse by the second. Your best friend immediately noticed the change in your face and became increasingly nervous as your face became red and blotchy. "Are you all right?" She asked worriedly and you tried to answer but your voice failed and you could only shake your head helplessly. Soon after, everything around you started spinning and you fell tot he ground.
When your friend realized the danger, she pulled out her cell phone and immediately called 911. "911, what is your emergency?" asked the voice on the other end of the line. "My friend has a peanut allergy and she just ate peanut butter cookies. She has an allergic reaction and it is gonna turn into a allergic shock."
Meanwhile, the other party guests reacted to the emerging panic and some of them tried to calm you down. Some of them tried to help with first aid while others stood around you worried.
Meanwhile, Andy and Victoria, who heard about the emergency call, rushed to the house to help. When they arrived, the scene was chaotic, but they immediately put their medical training to use. But when they saw who needed their help, they realized the urgency of the situation.
“Andy, it’s y/n!” Victoria said, lowering herself to the floor next to you. She made sure you were stabilized and acted quickly and effectively while Andy coordinated the situation and asked the young people to give them some space. "Y/n? Our y/n? Damn it!"
Victoria gave you a makeshift supply of adrenaline that she injected into your thigh. "Hey, sweetie. Are you with me?" Andy asked, patting your cheek a few times as she knelt down next to you. You nodded, your eyes focused on her. A smile of relief graced her lips.
Together they carefully picked you up and carried you to their ambulance, which was already waiting outside. They put you on the stretcher and immediately took you to the hospital. Along the way, Victoria kept a careful eye on you while making sure your vital signs remained stable. The ride was eerily quiet as they hoped for your speedy recovery.
When you arrived at the hospital, you were immediately taken to the emergency room, where a team of doctors and nurses were ready to help you. Andy and Victoria stayed by your side while you were examined and treated by the doctors.
At the same time, your mothers were immediately informed by the two and it didn't take long for the two to arrive in the emergency room after receiving the call. Carina stormed towards the two women with concern, her heart beating wildly with worry. Her eyes were wide open in fear as she looked into the treatment room to see you lying on the gurney, surrounded by medical staff. "What the hell happened?" She asked as she wrapped her hands around her torso and chewed her lip nervously.
Maya followed shortly after, her expression marked with worry and fear. When she saw you, she was relieved that you seemed stable so far, but also angry that you hadn't informed her where you were. "Allergic shock. Apparently she ate something she shouldn't have. The caller said it was peanut butter cookies."
"Yeah, yeah. She's allergic to peanuts," the blonde spoke and both women grabbed each other's hands as they nervously waited for the doctors to finish with you and give them an update. "But she knows that too. She pays very strict attention to avoid exactly that."
As the four of them waited in silence, the attending physician came out and explained to Maya and Carina that you were stable, but that you needed to remain under observation due to the severe allergic reaction and that they would do everything they could to make sure you recovered quickly .
Maya and Carina breathed a sigh of relief and squeezed past him with a thank you to get to you as quickly as possible while Andy and Vic stayed outside. "What happened and why didn't you tell us you went to that party?" Maya asked, her voice full of worry and anger.
You lowered your gaze to the blanket, a feeling of shame overcoming you as the two sank into the chairs next to your hospital bed. "I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't mean to worry you. There were cookies there, unlabeled. It was stupid of me not to say where I was."
Carina sighed and placed a hand on your shoulder. Despite the fury of betraying their trust, they were grateful that you were now in good hands and that you had been taken to the hospital in time. "We're not mad at you, love. But you should have told us where you were going. What would have happened if y/bf/n hadn't called or Andy and Vic hadn't been there on time?"
Maya nodded, agreeing with her wife as she took your hands in hers. "You could have been in serious trouble. We understand that you wanted to have fun, but safety always comes first. We are here to look after you, but we can only do that if you let us know."
You looked at the two of them as their mothers' words resonated within you. You knew you had made a mistake and you would learn from it. "I'm really sorry, Mom. I promise next time I'll let you know right away."
Maya and Carina hugged you tightly as they discussed the importance of communication and safety with you. Despite the frightening experience, you had grown even closer to your mothers, and you were determined to make sure something like this would never happen again.

Could you write a one shot where there is a really bad storm hitting Seattle. Maya and Carina are stuck at the hospital and the fire station, and are trying but unsuccessful at reaching Reader. So they are both worried out of their minds. Then Maya has to go out on a call and find it was R who wrecked their car trying to get home before the storm hit. (Could be severe or non-severe injuries) R goes to the hospital with Maya in the aid car and Carina joins them in the ER.
Authors note: I heard the song "What the water gave me - Florence + The Machine" while writing this story. I would advise you to listen to the song as well while reading through this story to get the feel of a real Station 19 rescue mission like in the series. Of course it's not a must! ♥
ᕚ---ᕘ
The sky over Seattle steadily darkened as pitch-black thunderclouds rolled in like a tidal wave. The wind began to howl as if playing its own somber tune, rushing restlessly through the skyscrapers of the city. Streets were quickly emptied as people rushed home for shelter. The trees bent under the force of the storm as if begging for mercy, but the storm was relentless. It thundered as if Zeus himself wanted to keep the crowds in their place while the rain fell in thick, large drops and threatened to drown Seattle. The sound of the wind, the falling of the rain and the thunder symphoned in a unique melody and conveyed a frightening atmosphere.
The telephones of the active fire brigade beeped in unison, a warning of the approaching storm that came in way too late. The tough captain of the fire department swallowed hard as she could not reach you, who worked just a few minutes away from her. But you did not answer, the connection was already disrupted, appearing to be off. "She wanted to be here fifteen minutes ago, Carina," both her and the brunette's worries grew with every minute through the phone as they imagined the worst possible scenarios without having any sign of life from you.
"Calm down, Bambina. There is probably total chaos on the streets. Fallen trees, flooding. Maybe she is just stuck in a traffic jam or an emergency came in."
The fire station was flooded with red alarm lights, while the walls shook from violent gusts of wind, preventing the young blonde from speaking further. Raindrops pelted against the roller shutter door, which opened more with every second, allowing the lightning strikes to break through their vision. -Fire engines 19 and 23. Ambulance 19 to Cedar Road Lane 6. Car struck by tree, person seriously injured and trapped.-
The firefighters rushed around, donning their suits and gear before grabbing their helmets. Like-minded, they rushed to the waiting vehicles, only Maya stopped briefly. „Please let me know if you hear anything from her. Stai attenta, bambina!" (Be careful, bambina!). She nodded, knowing that Carina could not see the gesture and hung up before hopping into the squad cars and starting the sirens. Pressing the accelerator, they raced through the whirlwind around them, trying to avoid the tree branches as much as possible.
Lightning flashed across the dangerous-looking sky, and thunder rolled at the same time like an angry demon. Maya clung to the steering wheel as she tried to keep her eyes on the wet, blurry road. They made their way through the flooded streets, branches flying through the air and trash cans tipping over and spilling across the sidewalk.
It was as if the world around her was collapsing in a chaotic dance of wind and water. "Listen guys, I know you want to help the person in the car, but first and foremost, think about your health and your life," the storm roared so loudly that it seemed like it wanted to tear the entire city apart and hardly anyone understood what the captain was saying over the radio. "This is one of the worst storms in years, a state of emergency has been declared and normally no one should be on the roads, so it is a mystery to me why anyone would be so dumb to be driving,"
Her team was clearly tense, the radios crackling in their ears, but they nodded to the captain as confirmation that they had understood the message. Maya did not want to lose any man or woman in her group to the storm. "We are approaching the scene of the accident. Be ready for anything, people. We can do this!" she said calmly and encouragingly while the fire engine´s sirens blared through the dark night.
When the team from Station 19 arrived at the scene of the accident, they were confronted with a dark and serious scene. The car is crammed in by a huge tree and is badly deformed, the hood of which is completely smashed and dented while some branches have pierced through the windshield and turned the interior of the vehicle into a field of rubble.
The fire team jumped out of the emergency vehicles and fought through the wind and rain to reach the car. But the captain remains rooted to the spot in front of the stern of the wreck, looking absentmindedly at the license plate, which was hanging askew. "Y/n.. IT IS Y/N!" she shouted unhindered amid the raging and deafening thunder and her team stopped their tasks in shock, Andy and Gibson focusing their gaze from the thick tree over to the woman in the driver's seat, who Warren was already trying to find vital signs on.
Maya lunged forward, her heart pounding with worry. Her helmet was almost blown away by the wind as she stepped closer, the flashlight shaking in her hand as she shone the light through the shattered window. Her heart seemed to skip a beat as she recognized the familiar features amid the devastation. She was confirmed that she did not have a number twist on the license plate, but that it really was you. Seriously injured and trapped in the car. “Y/n!” she cried, her voice filled with a terror she had never known before. Maya knew she had to stay calm now, that she had to be the professional captain, but her heart was screaming with fear and worry.
The other members of the fire department worked quickly and precisely. "Dean, Montgomery. Grab the hydraulic cutters! We need to get her out of here as quickly as possible. Her vital signs are at risk of plummeting!" shouted Warren. They used cutting tools to fight against the metal of the car on the passenger side and the resistance of the tree while Maya knelt next to the wreckage and held your hand, which was probably thrown out of the broken window after the impact and was now lying on the scratched paint of the outer door. "It looks bad in there! Be careful not to hurt her any further, approach carefully!"
Your eyes were dazed with pain and fear, but you were breathing, albeit weakly. Hearing her voice, you seemed to find some peace for a moment, your dull eyes glued to hers. Desperately wanting to say something, you opened your mouth from which blood began to ooze, but your crushed and injured lungs did not even let in air.
"Hold on, darling. Do not say anything, I am here. We will get you out of there, I promise." The blonde whispered, her voice firm to reassure you even as her own thoughts were caught in a chaos of worry and despair. The minutes stretched endlessly as her team struggled to bend the metal and free their captain's fiancée. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the metal gave way. Using their combined strength, Vic and Warren pulled you from the wreckage, carefully, yet as quickly as possible. As soon as they freed you, they carried you to the ambulance. Maya followed them, never taking her eyes off you. Your condition was serious, but you were still clinging to life. "Carina is coming. She is going to be at the hospital, she will be by your side the second you get there. But you have to fight now, okay? Fight for us."
The rain continued to beat down on you, the storm was still raging, but in the midst of this darkness and chaos there was a glimmer of hope- you were saved, and she would do anything now to help you fight through this storm. But it was hard to keep positive thoughts as the storm continued to sing its destructive song. She closed her eyes tightly as she rode in the ambulance and prayed, with your bloodstained hand in hers, that the next morning would bring a certain light to your health.

What if Maya had been secretly working on learning Italian. When Carina gives birth to there first kid, Maya’s first words to them are in Italian and Carina can’t believe it.
ᕚ---ᕘ
It was a quiet afternoon as Maya sat on the sofa in the cozy living room, staring intently at her laptop. The room is lit only by a soft lamplight, illuminating the desk, which was completely cluttered. On the coffee table lay stacks of new books and smeared notes covered with various scraggly characters. Soft and gentle sounds of a language learning program played in the background.
Maya repeated words out loud, trying to imitate the sound of the language as she stared at the screen with a determined expression on her face. The blonde mumbled syllables and phrases under her breath as she used her laptop's keyboard to write down the new vocabulary. Sentences in Italian appeared on the screen and she diligently tried to translate them carefully into English while taking her notes and underlining important words. She marked difficult passages in the textbook precisly while studying the new grammar rules closely.
Maya reached for a dictionary near her thigh and searched for unfamiliar terms to further encourage herself. With a pen between her nose and upper lips, she flips through the pages, reading definitions and trying to understand the meanings. With little dog-ears on the pages, she closes the book back together to return to these words later.
After about two hours of practice, she tiredly looked at the clock and sighed contentedly. It is obvious that she has already put a lot of time and effort into her own language teaching, as she was now able to successfully pronounce several complete sentences. Maya smiled slightly, proud of her weekly progress, before focusing back on her lessons after a quick stretch and another cup of coffee.
More keyboard clicking into a new lesson, the rustling of pages and the muffled voice of the man from the language program fills the truncated silence of learning. Maya was determined to deepen her knowledge as she continued her secret study session, anticipating the surprise of using her wife's learned language for the first time.
The blonde continued to leaf through her solution book, comparing her own notes with the printed information. More hours passed and the clock on the shelf already showed midnight; in six hours she had to go back to work and with a satisfied smile she closed the laptop, stowed the books safely and hidden in a corner where she knew Carina would not accidentally look in. Maya was determined to master this language by her daughter's due date. She was proud of herself that she had learned a lot and was well on her way to mastering her newly acquired language skills.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The sterile atmosphere of the delivery room filled with excitement and a soft glow as Carina lay exhausted but overjoyed on the hospital bed, holding her first newborn peacefully in her embrace, the little girl's tiny fingers wrapped tightly around her index finger. The Italian woman's face was still marked by the exertions of childbirth while she smiled lovingly down on the little face and felt a familiar warmth in her heart.
Maya stood next to the bed at her wife's side, overwhelmed by the birth, the beauty of the moment and the love that pulsed between the three ladies. It was her first child and her first birth that she had experienced live and the emotions overwhelmed her. The blonde never expected that she would ever experience a moment like this in her life.
She lowered her head and gently kissed her baby's forehead several times, whispering quietly but clearly a the first words in Italian to the little creature. "Sei bella quanto tua madre,“ (You are as beautiful as your mother). Carina, still exhausted and overwhelmed by the rigors of childbirth, widened her eyes in surprise when she heard the words. It was as if time stood still for a moment. Placing her index and middle fingers under the blonde's chin, the brunette tried to catch her gaze. The words her wife uttered were so familiar but at the same time so unexpected that the strain of childbirth made it difficult for her to comprehend what had just happened. „Sei il regalo più bello che la vita ci abbia mai fatto." (You are the best gift life has ever given us)
She did not know that Maya had been keeping it a secret from her that she had been secretly learning her language over the past few months. She had tirelessly poured over books and studied Carina's native language to ensure that she had a good command of the language to begin with. She had done all of this to make this special event even more meaningful.
"That was Italian, bambina," Carina whispered, looking wearily at Maya, her eyes bright with excitement. Tears of emotion gathered in the brunette's eyes as she looked at her wife, could not believe how much love and devotion went into this small gesture. „You know my native language?" she asked in a shaky voice and the blonde simply nodded with a loving smile on her face.
"Yes, I learned it to create a better connection with you and our child,“ Maya sat carefully on the edge of the bed and gently stroked the baby's tiny cheek before lovingly taking her away from Carina and into her own arms. "I wanted our child to know your culture from an early age and I also wanted you to know how much I love you."
Carina smiled through the tears that were streaming down her red cheeks and placed her hand on the firefighter's arm, gently stroking it up and down. She didn't know what to say. She was at a loss for words as she heard clear devotion in the younger woman's voice. "I love you so much. You are incredible, you know that?"
The blonde smiled back and gently squeezed her beloved wife's hand. "We are a family now and I will do everything in my power to strengthen our love and happiness. Come what may."

Through out the ropes course (Daughter) and a few others are getting bored with how easy it was. they want more of a challenge. the few kids slip from the group and make their way to the free climb. the free climb is an "At your own risk" mountain. with only a rope harness (But no rope) they make their way up to rock mountain until they realize how high it goes and how much easier it is to go up than down. panic starts to set and Carina starts to notice that kids are missing including their daughter.
their daughter slips and gets caught on a divot in the mountain. First responders have to be called. (Maya enters the story)
!!!If you aren't interested in writing this its no worries please let me know so I can't try and write it :)!!!
ᕚ---ᕘ
Sunshine and pent-up warm air penetrated the dense leaves of the trees and made the forest surrounding the high ropes course shine in an autumnal light. A group of excited young people and all the accompanying people, including Carina, who had volunteered, entered the area.
The smell of fresh resin and wet grass hung in the air and the tall climbing poles rose into the sky, ropes snaked between the treetops, and the students marveled and whispered as they saw the challenges before them.
“Good morning, dear class,” the instructors greeted the group and quickly explained the safety guidelines. Carina listened intently as she heard the details about the different courses and the possibility of climbing without safety harnesses. The students were divided into small groups and began to equip themselves with helmets and harnesses.
After a short briefing you began the climb. As usual, you and your gang formed a group and excitedly stood at the base of a 131-foot-tall climbing pole - the largest parkour you could do in this high ropes course. The colorful climbing holds and ropes magically attracted you and your mother watched you with a mix of pride and nervousness and bated breath as you fought your way up step by step. The branches swayed slightly and the ropes creaked softly as you found your way and the heart in the brunette's chest beat faster as she followed your every move.
After about three quarters of an hour, you finally reached the end and amusedly spread your arms to enjoy the feeling of victory. Your friends cheered and applauded and Carina couldn't help but smile when she saw how happy you looked.
But your initial enthusiasm gave way to noticeable boredom. Even the hardest parkour seemed too easy, and your group was looking for a greater challenge. "Is that all? That was boring," you sighed, leaning against a tree as you felt the ground beneath your feet. Your best friend nodded in agreement. "We need something more exciting. Let's get to that pro parkour."
Your eyes lit up but immediately went dark again as you looked around. "Mr. Andersson strictly forbade us to use this parkour," your friend spoke from the other side as she rappelled down. You all just shrugged your shoulders and during a brief distraction, you quietly slipped away from the group to look for more adventure on your own. You were drawn to the idea of an “at your own risk” mountain that promised a thrill.
The path to the mountain, less than 500 meters further, was steep and surrounded by dense greenery. You climbed over rocks and through thick bushes until you finally reached the foot of the mountain wall. You led the group as you laboriously worked your way up the steep wall. The air became thinner and the effort became more and more demanding. "It's really tiring but the view from the top will be worth it!" your best friend gasped, winking at you before sneaking past you to get upstairs faster.
When you reached the top, a breathtaking view spread across the landscape. However, the joy of success was soon overshadowed by a feeling of trepidation as you realized how much easier the climb had been compared to what lay ahead: the descent.
A slight panic spread among you as you realized the steep descent and the risk of a fall without safety equipment. The carefree excitement gave way to the realization that you had gotten yourself into a dangerous situation. You, who was normally full of courage, felt fear rising in your stomach.
Meanwhile, your mother noticed that you and some of your friends were no longer on the high ropes course. "Y/n! Ava! Mason!" An uneasy feeling ran through her as she began to call your names, but her shouts were swallowed up by the trees. The other chaperones and teachers looked around, but there was no sign of you or your friends. "What's wrong, Carina?" a father of another student asked worriedly, walking towards her to get more certainty. "I think some children are missing. Including my daughter, I haven't seen her in a while."
A touch of fear rose in her when some students moved towards her shortly after and told her that they last saw you disappearing towards the mountain and together with the other parents and teachers, she set off to look for you.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Your friends and you struggled on the mountain with your fear of the descent, unaware that the search for you had already begun. Each step down seemed more dangerous than the last and your upper arms trembled from the force you had to exert and the fear that permeated you. The steep slopes and loose rocks weighed heavily on you and you tried to stay calm, but the uncertainty was heavy in the air. "I don't know if we can do it. It's way too steep," you whispered to yourself, swallowing hard as you dared to look down.
The mountain path was steeper and more challenging than expected and you were cautiously trying to negotiate the middle section when you suddenly slipped and fell into a small but deep ditch lined with brush and rocks. Your impact was cushioned by a tree stump, but you remained stuck with a painful groan, unable to move.
"Y/n!! Are you okay? Answer us, please!" Your friend called down worriedly, hoping for an answer from you. She couldn't see or hear you and the fear that you were seriously injured weighed heavily on her chest. "No. I can't move. I can't feel my legs," you replied in a shaky voice, clenching your teeth to suppress the pain in your upper body.
Panic gripped the group when they saw that you were in a threatening situation. You were injured, probably to your spine, and unable to free yourself. "We need to get help. HELP!" your best friend shouted and as they screamed for help every second, you struggled to stay calm even though fear and pain overwhelmed you.
Carina and the others who were already looking for you heard the scream and realized the seriousness of the situation. She quickly ran towards the mountain and when she got there, she saw two people hanging on the cliff - but there was no sign of you. "Ava, Mason. Are you okay?"
Hearing voices from below, the two felt a sense of relief at the prospect of help. "We're up here but y/n fell and is probably seriously injured in the ditch below us. She can't feel her legs and we can't hear her anymore!"
Both your mother and the other people rushed over to help, but they were also aware that they couldn't get you out of this situation without professional help. At the moment when Carina was desperately looking for a solution, she pulled out her cell phone and dialed Maya, who was currently working her shift at Station 19.
Briefly describing the situation, her voice full of worry and fear, the blonde promised to come to the location with the team immediately in order to save their daughter. Her face showed concern and determination as she took in the scene before her, unable to do anything that could help her daughter. She didn't have the climbing skills to get to the ditch at a height of several meters and from down here she got no answer to her calls.
Less than fifteen minutes later, a woman stepped through the trees. It was Maya. Her expression was serious and yet you could clearly see the concern. "What happened?" She asked quickly as she approached with a stretcher.
Carina quickly explained the situation again and her team immediately jumped into action. Her trained eyes analyzed the situation as she began to give instructions to her people to get you safely out of the ditch. "Y/n, it's me, Mom. If you can hear me- stay calm. Gibson and Warren will get you out of there," Maya spoke in a calm voice as she began to use her equipment and experience as a captain.
The other youth and chaperones helped by following instructions and providing Maya with whatever she needed and could find. "You're doing great, darling. We'll get you out of there soon, don't worry," she continued calmly as she carefully assessed the situation, knowing she wouldn't get an answer. However, she wanted you to know that she was there and that you were not alone when you were conscious but unable to speak.
It was a laborious process, but eventually Gibson and Warren managed to carefully free you from the ditch and slowly bring you down with the lift and turntable ladder while Hughes and Travis secured the others and brought them down. The relief in the air was palpable when they finally had you lying on solid ground.
“Y/n, where is your pain?” Warren asked worriedly as he checked your body for injuries. Carina's heart skipped a beat and without hesitation, her legs moved as if fueled by adrenaline. She sprinted over to you, Maya in tow. "My back and my arm hurts," you replied with a shaky voice, but a smile crossed your face when you saw both of your mothers.
Carina was overwhelmed with gratitude and relief as she watched the two men use their expertise to help you. She and Gibson's eyes met and they nodded silently at each other, knowing that she was overjoyed that he had ensured your safety.
"You're going to the hospital now and you'll be taken care of. We'll be with you the whole time," the blonde whispered in a calm but firm voice and spoke more soothing words to stabilize you. Her hand reached for yours and you managed to grasp it securely.
The adrenaline of the two women smoked in their ears as they carefully looked after you. The students and instructors gathered around you and watched eagerly. A collective sigh of relief and applause echoed through the forest. "Mom, I'm scared."
"It'll be okay, please don't worry and don't move, Bella," Carina spoke to you carefully while Hughes and Warren provided further medical care. Carina got into the ambulance with you to accompany you to the hospital while Maya joined Warren in the passenger seat. "I'm sorry, Mom. It was so stupid of us,"
Carina brushed your disheveled hair away from your face and spoke to you seriously but lovingly about the dangers of your decision. You were relieved, but also deeply affected by the negative experiences you had. It was an important lesson that you would definitely never forget. It was a reminder of the importance of caution and knowledge in an environment that presented challenges and dangers.

Marina x teen daughter, where she gets her period when at home with Maya and Vic, who don’t know how to handle the situation and they call Carina back from work and get a full “lecture”. (Idea from Carina telling Vic that not knowing enough about her own body was nothing to be proud of)
Authors note: To adapt my idea to the request, I decided that Carina is on night shift at that time and Vic always sleeps in Maya's apartment when Carina is on night shift in order to help Maya take care of you.
ᕚ---ᕘ
It was well past midnight when you rolled back and forth in your single bed in the complete darkness, your eyes always glued to the glowing alarm clock in front of you. Your hand gently massaged your aching lower stomach and you pulled yourself into a fetal position in pain. "What the hell is that,“ you whispered quietly to yourself and you felt a wave of pain wash over you, which then disappeared shortly afterwards.
Within a minute, the disgusting cramp returned, a twisting pressure you had never felt before in your life. Stumbling out of your bed, you felt a light but warm wetness between your thighs, your pajama pants sticking to the insides of them. You rushed to your bathroom, hammered blindly on the light switch and gazed upon a startling sight. "Blood?" You whispered barely audible to yourself, pinching your pants as your mind raced in sheer fear.
Panic and confusion washed over you. You could not believe what you saw. You suddenly remembered the conversations at school about menstruation, but it all seemed so far away and abstract. You never expected it to catch you so unprepared. You swallowed hard and took a deep breath as you felt another ache in your lower abdomen, but this time it was not subsiding. The pressure was literally building up like a balloon and you knew you had to get help before anymore blood soaked your pajamas. The stain you looked down at was rather large in the center of your bottoms and made you feel lightheaded at the unfiltered sight.
You walked into the living room where you saw Victoria laying on the couch. Leaning forward, you placed a hand on her shoulder and shook it lightly to wake her up. The firefighter blinked and wrinkled her nose before slowly opening her eyes and noticing your worried expression. "Is something wrong, love? Have you had a nightmare?" she asked sleepily but with concern in her voice, rubbing her eyes. You felt tears welling up in your eyes as you crossed your legs and responded hesitantly. "Can we get mom? I am bleeding really bad and I do not know what to do."
Vic was awake immediately. Almost suddenly, she stood up and carefully put an arm around your shoulder. "Where are you bleeding? Are you okay?" She began to question you as she went into the bedroom to wake Maya up. Without compassion, she turned on the light and pulled the blanket off the captain's sleeping body. "Maya, get up. We have a problem."
Drowsy and annoyed, the blonde turned from her lying position to the door where you were standing, but her gaze softened when she saw you standing in her room, the large, deep red stain spreading across your pants. "I think I got my period and I am afraid." Maya quickly got up and crawled towards the end of the bed. Sitting on her knees, she opened her arms wide and waited until you fell into them. She hugged you gently, running her fingers soothingly through your tousled hair.
"You do not have to be afraid. It is a normal part of growing up," the blonde looked at her best friend in panic, who shrugged unknowingly and looked around. She was completely unprepared for this moment and now had to act based on her feelings. Both of the woman just could not mess it up by making you hysterical. "Are you okay? Are you in pain?"
You nodded softly into her chest, hugging her tighter as another wave of pain overwhelmed you. "There is blood in my bed. And my jammies are full too." you sniffled, feeling Victoria move closer to you as well. Gently, she pressed herself against you and gently stroked your upper arms, trying to calm you down. “This feels strange, why is my body doing this to me?"
Neither of them had any answers to this question. They themselves did not know why one's own body encourages one to endure pain and bleed every month if one has not already had enough problems in the world as a woman. Maya did not know how to react. She had not expected it to happen so soon and felt just as overwhelmed as her daughter. "How about I change your sheets and you go wash and change?" They both tried to change the subject and you nodded in agreement, just wanting to get out of the wet and blood-stained clothes that clung uncomfortably to your skin.
Victoria led you back to the bathroom and quickly explained how to use a pad. She took her time, but she could not answer all of your questions about menstruation and reassure you while the blonde nervously tapped on her cell phone to summon her wife home immediately. Meanwhile, you had took a quick shower to clean yourself up and laid down in the freshly made bed with a hot water bottle for the night and fell asleep while waiting for your mother.
The two women sat restlessly at the dining table and were ready for the Italian woman's upcoming lecture about the woman´s body. „Are you not ashamed that you do not know anything about the female body when you have the privilege of being a woman?“ Carina's voice trembled through the quiet apartment, making the two women jump. She was angry that you were having your period for the first time ever and the two women who were supposed to deal with the subject had no idea how to answer your questions. "We are sorry, Carina."
"You could not even emphasize the importance of hygiene, dealing with pain and the importance of regular doctor visits?" She pushed back a chair and sat across from the two of them, tiredness written on her face too, but anger trumped her drained eyes. Victoria and her wife looked at the table, fidgeting nervously while shaking their heads almost simultaneously. "Honestly, I do not even know why we get periods." Vic opened up, smiling at her statement as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Actually, you should not be proud of it and smile, but rather sad that no one explained its importance to you,“ the Italian breathed out the last words and wrinkled her forehead as her fingers glided over it. She was disappointed in Maya and Victoria. "It is an indication from your body that your reproductive organs and you are generally healthy. From the very beginning it says that you are growing up."
"Carina, it is now four in the morning, can we not all have a conversation at the table in the morning and answer all of her questions together, as we should as parents?" The blonde, who had not said anything for a while, now joined the conversation. Carina bit her lip and nodded understandingly, but not without first giving the two of them a task.
"Fine, deal. But you two will not go to sleep until you have done your research on any menstrual questions you can find on the internet that y/n might ask. I do not want to have to lecture you in the conversations tomorrow too. "

The excitement in the air was palpable as Carina Deluca drove side by side with you through the busy streets of Seattle. Your eyes reflected your longing to finally visit the fire station. Until now, however, your big sister's and her girlfriends hectic work schedule had always ruined your plans. But today was different. Today Carina would introduce you to a world that you had only heard about through the lively stories of her girlfriend Maya. The fascinating world of the brave firefighters from Station 19.
"Ci stiamo avvicinando, Bella. Sono così felice che tu possa finalmente incontrare tutti." (We're getting closer, Bella. I'm so happy you can finally meet everyone) Carina said with a bright look of anticipation and placed her hand reassuringly on your thigh. "I feel your excitement, y/n. Once you cross the station's threshold, you will be a part of them," she assured you with a warm smile.
The car stopped around the corner and you entered the fire station grounds shortly after. An atmosphere immediately surrounded you, permeated by hustle and courage. But at the same time, you could also feel an air of excitement and determination surrounding the people. It was like being immersed in a whirlwind of commitment and solidarity as the dull drone of work filled the air. Everyone who was here exuded an aura of determination, ready to face the challenges of the day. It was a place where every moment mattered, a place that embodied the essence of heroism and solidarity.
As you passed through the wide open gates of the guardhouse, you were greeted by a young woman who was bustling around the area with a radio in her hand. The sight of her was impressive - her face bore the marks of hard work, but her charisma was incomparable. It was Andy Herrera, the charismatic leader of Station 19. Her eyes were full of light as she kept an eye on the action on the premises. Every step she took seemed like an expression of leadership, and yet there was an aura of calm about her that immediately instilled confidence in everyone who met her. It was clear that she was a natural leader, ready to face any obstacle with unwavering courage.
"Carina! It's great to see you," Andy greeted her with a bright smile. Then her eyes fell on you lingered there for a slightly longer time. "And who do we have here?"
"This is my sister, y/n. She was invited by Maya to get an insight into what we do here," Carina explained proudly. Andy nodded friendly and held out her hand to you, which you accepted gratefully. "It's very nice to meet you, y/n. Welcome to Station 19," she said with a warmth in her voice that immediately put you at ease and made you feel like you were in exactly the right place.
Her charm had an irresistible attraction for you. You had never met anyone like her before - someone so confident and yet so caring. As you looked into her warm brown eyes, you felt something awaken within you that you had never felt before. It was as if her charisma ignited a hidden longing within you that had previously been lying dormant inside you, unnoticed. Every small gesture, every word of hers seemed to touch you and awaken your senses as you let yourself be captivated by her charisma. It was a moment of realization that this encounter with her was taking your life on an unforeseen but exciting new path.
While Carina and Andy were engaged in animated conversation, you felt enchanted. Your eyes couldn't leave the Spanish woman, and you were sure she noticed. But instead of feeling uncomfortable, you found comfort in the knowledge that Andy was just as attracted to you as you were to her. It was as if there was an invisible connection between you that was revealed in every look and every smile. The atmosphere around you seemed to change, and you felt a special energy building between you that fascinated and filled you at the same time. It was a moment of magic where the world around you seemed to stand still as you lost yourself in the eyes of the mesmerizing woman in front of you.
When Carina finally suggested getting Maya to explore the fire station with her, the spanish woman immediately took the opportunity to get to know you better. "I'll be happy to walk you through everything we do here," she offered enthusiastically, taking a few steps forward to signal that you should follow her.
A wide smile crossed your lips as you decided to follow her. "That would be amazing. I'm really excited to find out more," you replied eagerly.
As you strolled through the fire station together, Carina couldn't help but smile as she searched for her girlfriend. She felt that this encounter with Andy had the potential to change your life forever. It was as if the threads of fate were weaving around you both, leading you down a path full of surprises and new experiences.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The days passed and you kept finding a reason to visit the fire station, supposedly to see your "sister". But deep in your heart you knew that your real reason was something else: you wanted to see Andy again, the fire lieutenant who made your heart beat faster.
Andy quickly noticed that you were showing up more often than would be typical for a normal visit for your sister. Still, she always greeted you with a bright smile and always found an excuse to spend time with you. And the more time you spent together, the stronger the hidden feelings that grew between you.
You found yourself around them more and more often, be it at lunch with the entire team or in discussions about operational plans. You enjoyed watching her lead her team, burning with compassion and passion for her work.
Andy also couldn't deny that she was attracted to you anymore. There was something about you - your liveliness, your enthusiasm for life - that she couldn't ignore. She increasingly found herself staring at you when you talked to Maya or helped Carina with the supplies, as if trying to capture every nuance of your being, and she longed for the moments when she could be alone with you.
But despite the growing attraction between you, neither of you dared to reveal your true feelings. She feared the possible consequences of a relationship between her and her best friend's sister in law. So she kept her feelings under wraps, even though she felt more alive than ever around you.
One day, when you visited the fire station again, you found a rare moment of privacy. Together you sat next to each other on a bench on the roof terrace, surrounded by the calming silence of the evening and the soft city lights glowing on the horizon.
“Y/n, there’s something I’ve wanted to share with you for a while,” she began hesitantly, weighing her words carefully. You looked at her intently, your heart starting to beat faster. Had Andy finally found the courage to reveal her feelings?
"I... I really appreciate our time together," she continued, her eyes searching yours. “You’re special, y/n, and I feel really lucky that you’re here.”
A hint of disappointment washed over you as you realized she wasn't saying what you had hoped. But at the same time, you also felt relieved that she valued your presence as much as you valued hers. "Thank you, Andy. That means a lot to me," you replied sincerely, a hesitant smile crossing your lips.
You sat next to each other in silence for a while, enveloped in the evening and the unsaid words between you. But despite the words that remained unspoken, you both knew that there was something special between you, something that you couldn't ignore even if you wanted to. The atmosphere was charged with a suppressed tension that your hearts felt even if your mouths didn't say it.
A blaring, loud siren from the reporting station suddenly pierced the silence, breaking you out of your quiet moment. Both were frightened and Andy jumped up as the shrill sound blared through the air. She quickly gave you a kiss on the cheek and in that gesture, she paused for a moment, shocked at her rash action. "I'm sorry... I have to go. I'll see you again soon, yeah?"
You nodded, feeling the heat in your blushing cheeks. You too were overwhelmed by the gesture, but you tried not to show your excitement. While she disappeared through the exit and you saw the fire trucks drive away shortly afterwards, you also made your way home, unaware that something unexpected would happen that you had never imagined.
While working in a burning building, Andy suddenly found herself in a dangerous situation. An unstable structure collapsed and falling debris struck her. The team was eventually able to rescue her and bring her outside, but it was obvious that she was injured and needed to be taken to the hospital.
Using blue lights and sirens, Andy was taken by Warren and Hughes to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, where doctors did everything they could to carefully examine her and make sure she had not suffered any serious injuries. Hours passed like years as they waited for news of her condition.
Finally, as the sun rose over the horizon, the good news came: Andy only suffered a concussion and a few bruised ribs. But the thought of what might have been if the injuries had been more serious made her shudder. She suddenly understood the preciousness of life and how quickly it could be over.
When Andy was finally released from the hospital, she didn't hesitate for a moment. After everything that had happened, she was determined to stop hiding her feelings. She knew she had to tell you how much she loved you before it was too late.
She made her way to your apartment, ignoring the pounding in her head and the doctor's orders to rest. Your heart was pounding as you opened the door and saw the tired, vulnerable look in her eyes. A stab of pain shot through your chest. "Andy, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I can't even imagine what it's like when you..." you started, your voice cracking with emotion, but Andy cut you off, her eyes wide open yours resting without once letting go. "Kiss Me."
You looked at her in surprise, your eyes widening in amazement. "What do you mean, Andy?" You asked quietly, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Kiss me," she whispered again, biting her lip. The words hung heavy in the air, and for a moment time seemed to stand still between the two of you. "I love you, y/n. But I don't know if you feel the same. So if you do, finally kiss me."
A smile slowly broke across your face and you took a step towards her until you were close to each other. You placed your hands gently on her cheeks, pulling her towards you before your lips met. You felt her shoulders relax and her tense posture lessen as she too gently placed her hands around your neck and gave in to the kiss.
"Y/n... I love you," she said quietly, her voice still shaking. "I wanted to tell you before, but I was afraid. I've felt it since the moment I first saw you. And after everything that's happened, I know I have to tell you. I love you."
„I love you too, Andy.“ You spoke and in that moment, surrounded by the first rays of sunshine and the aftermath of a life almost lost, you finally found each other. The world seemed to stand still as your hearts united and you knew that this love would conquer all.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Six months had passed since you and Andy revealed your feelings for each other. During this time, you had kept your relationship a secret from her colleagues at Station 19 and your sister, for fear of possible consequences and not to compromise the professionalism of Andy's work. But despite your efforts, you couldn't hide your love, and your secret meetings were a small comfort in the midst of the hectic everyday life with different work shifts.
Today you had returned from your home country of Italy after your family asked you for help, and Andy couldn't wait to hold you in her arms again. The longing for you had become so great that she could hardly stand counting the hours until she would see you again after you had disappeared for almost a week.
When you finally stepped through the guard gates, she felt a wave of relief and excitement wash over her, and her heart began to take a flight. She immediately rushed to you as you greeted the others and talked to Carina about the situation in your home country, her hand reaching for yours as if she would otherwise lose you.
“Y/n, I missed you so much,” Andy whispered quietly as she pulled you into a more private setting, leaning her forehead against yours as you held onto each other. “I missed you too, Andy,” you replied, your voice full of affection. "It feels like an eternity has passed since we last saw each other. Even though it was only a week."
You spent the whole day being with your family on Station 19, catching Andy's stares and big smiles as you constantly lost yourself in each other, satisfying your longing for closeness and touch as best you could while you moved carefully around her team. But the attraction between you was so strong that it became increasingly difficult for you to hide your feelings. Every glance, every accidental touch seemed to electrify the air around you, and you both knew it was only a matter of time before your love would come to light.
But after the lunch break, when you both sat next to each other at the table and had lunch with the team, Andy could hardly suppress her longing for you. She had to feel you, touch you, kiss you. A wild rush of excitement ran through her heart as she dragged you with her by your shirt while you helped Travis with the dishes.
As soon as she closed the door behind her, you fell into each other's arms, your lips pressed together in a desperate attempt to outsmart time and capture the moment. You were so engrossed in your passion that you didn't notice how the door slowly opened and two figures walked into the room.
Only when you heard the sound of a thick throat clearing did you break apart and turned around to see who had disturbed you. To your surprise, Maya and Carina stood in front of you, their faces a look of shock and surprise.
"What... what the fuck?" Maya stammered, her eyes wide but a mischievous grin gracing her lips. Carina was speechless, her hand pressed to her mouth as she took in the scene before her. "Andy, what are you doing with my sister?" She finally managed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Andy and you looked at each other, your heartbeat raging in your ears. Both of you had no idea what to say, how to explain this unexpected revelation to your sister, and you recognized the panic welling up in your girlfriend. The situation suddenly became complicated and full of unpleasant surprises, and you had to decide how you would deal with it.
As your sister's words filled the room, the spanish woman felt a pang of fear in her heart. Andy knew that her relationship with you didn't live up to the expectations your sister might have had for you, but she had hoped that Carina would accept it. But when she saw her sister's angry look, she feared the worst.
“Y/n, cosa ne pensi?" (Y/n, what are you thinking?) Carina continued, her voice trembling with indignation. "Lei è molto più vecchia di te! Questo... non è giusto! (She's much older than you. That's... that's just not right)
You looked at your sister calmly, your eyes momentarily lowered to the blonde who was standing next to her, smiling and intertwining her fingers with the Italian woman's. "Carina, mi dispiace che tu abbia reagito così, ma amo Andy. E l'età non conta quando si tratta di amore.“ (Carina, I'm sorry you reacted like that, but I love Andy. And age doesn't matter when it comes to love)
Andy felt your support and warming hand on her shoulder, even if she didn't understand exactly what you were saying, and felt strengthened in that moment. She knew it would possibly be a long road for your sister to accept their relationship, but she was determined to fight for your love.
Before Carina could protest again, Maya suddenly laughed loudly, a sound that permeated the room and broke the tension. "Oh, Carina, what's so bad about it? The most important thing is that they're both happy," Maya said between fits of laughter and received a silent glare from Carina who kept her arms crossed under her chest.
The brunette looked at her girlfriend, but then she noticed the look of calm on Maya's face and her words slowly sank in. Maybe she was right and it didn't matter what age difference you had as long as you were happy and Andy didn't hurt you in any kind of way.
Carina slowly let go of her anger and a smile spread across her face. "You're right, Maya. I should be happy that my sister found someone she loves so much. I'm just... surprised, that's all."
You felt a wave of relief wash over you. You had feared that your relationship with Andy would cause a fight between you, but now that Carina gave her consent, she could finally breathe a sigh of relief. It was a moment of reconciliation and understanding that strengthened your bond as sisters.
“Thank you, Carina,” you said quietly, a sigh of relief escaping your lips as your eyes shone with gratitude. "This really means a lot to me."
Carina nodded and held out her arms, which you sank into after you pulled away from Andy and hugged your sister tightly. "I love you, y/n. And I'm glad you're happy. Ma se Andy ti fa del male, la ucciderò.“ (But if Andy hurts you, I'll kill her)
A giggle escaped you and the atmosphere in the room changed. From tension and conflict to love and acceptance. But then, out of nowhere, as the four of you walked out of the locker room together, the blonde started laughing again, and Carina joined her in putting her arm around her shoulders.
"Oh, you two lovebirds! I can't believe we caught you making out!" Maya teased, tears of mirth in her eyes. "I feel like I've been blown back in time. It's like high school."
Carina joined in, and together they began to tease Andy and you, their words full of warmth and joy. And as you both rolled your eyes together and smiled at each other, your hands clasped tightly together, you knew that you would be paying for hiding your relationship from your sister and Andy's best friend for a very long time. But in that moment, everything was forgotten except the love that radiated between you.

hi could you possibly do a maya and carina x reader where reader is maybe drunk and stubborn and it is them taking care of her and just complete fluff 🫶
ᕚ---ᕘ
You staggered around the room, completely losing your balance. You got drunk into oblivion on your best friend's birthday and your two girlfriends had to pick you up from the restaurant. As soon as Maya and Carina arrived, they quickly rushed to a private room at the other end of the building to come to your aid. "Bella, are you okay?" The brunette asked worriedly as they saw you leaning against a wall, your cheeks burning red and your eyes bloodshot and glassy.
Maya had immediately jumped to your side, hooking your arm over her shoulder so that she could catch your body and hold it upright before you stumbled and fell unhappily. "Sure thing, pretty. I'm awesome! I swear I can walk straight!" You muttered in an unintelligible slur and started to giggle, but all you got was serious faces, eyes looking at each other in incomprehension.
Using their combined efforts, they tried to gently lower your heavily intoxicated body onto one of the wooden chairs. “Y/n, darling, how much did you drink?” she requested, reaching out physically to lift your head and catch your gaze. You, however, looked back at your fingers, tried to count the shots on them, but failed miserably as they blurred and wavered in front of your eyes. "Um, I think a few more than I should? But hey, you suddenly have four eyes that I can look into, and all of them are beautiful!"
The blonde's hand fell to her forehead, trying to smooth out the wrinkles that had formed on it as she bit her lip. She looked up at Carina, who couldn't resist a gentle chuckle. Maya scuffled her hair and asked herself what you had gotten yourself into. Normally you were never the drinker. “Let’s get you home,” she sighed out loudly and rose from her kneeling position in front of you.
Both Carina and Maya helped you get up and carefully brought you into the car to take you home. During the journey it became quiet around the two of them. While Carina tried to keep the car straight and not swerve too much, it was Maya who turned around every minute to check on you. However, you were caught up in your own daydream, humming shrilly to the tune on the radio as you traced the tears of rain on the window. "Why didn't you call us and let us know? We could have picked you up beforehand. Then maybe you wouldn't have drank so much."
You looked at her with wide eyes, your pupils greatly dilated from drinking alcohol. You tried to remain serious, tried to think of a clever answer for your friend but failed and started laughing instead. "But then I would have denied you this wonderful trip!" This time, Maya and Carina couldn't help but laugh at your rambling, although they remained worried about your condition.
Both women were happy when they unlocked the door to their shared apartment and you were finally back in your own four walls. Up the stairs to the second floor with you in their luggage, the two of them were completely exhausted. While the blonde struggled to get you onto the couch, the brunette grabbed coffee and a blanket to help you get over the alcohol rush and keep you warm.
When she came back with the things, she also got salty crackers to balance your blood sugar levels and avoid side effects. Maya gratefully took the warm drink, handed it to you and supported the glass with one of her hands to avoid any accidents. "Here, drink some of this. It will help."
You nodded perfusively, pulled the glass closer to your face and sniffed it. You immediately wrinkled your nose, grimaced and pulled your head to the side to stop the smell from lingering in your nasal cavities. "That smells like burnt hope and Monday morning! Speaking of which, what kind of day is today?"
"Saturday morning," Carina laughed once more and moved back towards the kitchen while Maya stayed behind with you for a moment. When the Italian woman came with another glass, this time she put it to your lips and let you take a few sips. "This is water, maybe it will help you a little better."
"This tastes like the opposite and not as good as what I had before. Ugh!"
Maya shook her head miserably and began to take off the jacket she was still wearing, all the while standing next to you and making sure you didn't suddenly tip over to the side or fall forward onto the floor. "Maybe we should go easy on your taste buds? I think they've already experienced enough today."
You nodded in agreement, knowing she might be right. There was a short silence in which the two of them joined you on the couch. Carina took your legs on her lap and pulled them close to her middle, hoping that you would slowly relax and become calmer. But suddenly you started singing loudly, the words barely understandable, startling the two women who were tired and just waiting for you to fall asleep.
Shocked at the sudden noise and shrill tones that left your throat, they both looked at each other with wide eyes. The brunette held a hand over her mouth and looked away for a moment before she burst out laughing and couldn't stop herself. With this she also drew Maya under the pure spell of laughter. "Babe, is this your take on karaoke?" The blonde asked, holding her now aching stomach, but you didn't listen to her, got even louder and held your hand to your heart. You swayed on the couch, Carina holding your hand as you tried to sit straight on your shins and sang a tune that resembled the national anthem. "Bambina, I think you could make a new hit out of it if you sang the words a little more clearly!"
You laughed yourself at the incomprehensibility and the mood of the two women became increasingly relaxed. There was barely a shred of concern in their hearts, more happiness that you were doing well and that despite the poison in your blood, you generally made a good impression. "You know, you're probably the most entertaining drunk I know. And I've seen my entire fire team drunk."
Grinning widely, you bowed your upper body to her and punched your chest a few times before kissing the palm of your hand and holding it up in the air. "I take that as a compliment, my wonderful and beautiful Maya Bishop!"
The three of you sat together for a while until you noticed that you were getting more tired and slowly falling asleep. The blonde carefully covered you more tightly with the blanket and spoke to you gently to show you that you were cared for and safe. After the two were sure you had fallen into a deep sleep, they stayed close to you to continue to provide attention and support until you were stable again. Meanwhile, Maya and Carina kept exchanging amused looks.
"Hopefully she learns from this," Maya whispers in a gentle tone and squeezes herself next to Carina, wrapping her in a deep hug. The brunette leaned back, letting herself fall and trying to let the tiredness take its place. "Yes hopefully."
They stayed vigilant through the night to make sure you slept peacefully and didn't fall into a nightmare before deciding to seek some peace near you as well. They clearly deserved it.

Fight Falls - Part II
Trigger Warning⚠️ This one-shot includes the topic of a car accident and the plot is presented. If this triggers you too easily or you just can´t handle the subject, I urge you NOT to read this work. I am NOT embellishing this topic under any circumstance. Read at your own risk.
You groaned in agony, dizziness unfolding as your eyes fluttered open troubled, surveying your surroundings. To all appearances, you were in a hospital room, at least that was what the strong smell of disinfectant told you from the bed you were laying in.
Your attention extended to the woman who had nodded off in the chair next to you. The blonde had her feet on the edge of the bed while her head gently rested on her closed fist. Your breath caught at the sight of the devastated face. Dry, pale lines of tears outlined the dark circles under closed and tired eyes. The sight made the heart monitor you were hooked to go horribly crazy.
"Y/n?" she was slightly dazed and confused when her eyes opened and focused on you. It was only when she squeezed your hand that you realized she was holding onto you like you were about to disappear.
"M-maya" your voice trailed off as you tried to raise your body into a sitting position. You warmly accepted your wife´s help as she slipped her arms softly under your armpits and carefully pulled you up. Maya quickly stroked your matt and dry hair before taking a glass of water from your side table.
The firefighter held it up to your lips, patiently waiting as you took your first sip, enjoying the cool water sliding down your dry and burning throat. Nodding to her, she took the glass away from you before sitting down and fidgeting with her fingers nervously. Her head was lowered, only soft whimpers and sobs escaped her.
"Four days," she began to speak softly, her voice shaking with tension. "You were unconscious for four days. Apparently, you hit your head very hard"
"That would explain the killer headache," you mumbled and the blonde smiled slightly as you grimaced while running your palm down the back of your neck. "What happened?"
"Someone figured it would be a good idea to hit the gas pedal quickly to get through a red light," she shrugged, biting the insides of her cheek hard. Her clear blue eyes darkened and pure anger flared up in them. "Was not smart of him to mess with you. You have two women by your side, one of whom has free access to every room in this hospital and might be on lookout for a minute or two while he gets to feel my fists"
You had realized that Maya seemed to be barely breathing out of sheer nervousness and just talked until she ran out of breath. You slowly reached out a hand and grabbed her thigh, which you began to squeeze gently to bring her back to reality. "It is neither Carina´s nor your fault"
"You have a nasty cut on your forehead and a severe concussion" she replied in a serious tone, frowning while a fixed and intense gaze brooked no contradiction. "Our thoughtless and completely pointless argument got you in the car in the first place"
You applied renewed but significantly more pressure to the blondes thigh, causing her to grunt out as your fingernails dug into her skin.
"Okay, I give in. Not my fault!"
Satisfied with her answer, you smiled and leaned back against your pillow, covering your upper body with the thick blanket from the cold. "Please bring me Carina. Or Amelia. Or anyone responsible for me and get me out of here!"
Squinting and eye and pursing her lips, you could see that she was not happy with your wish. But she could not refuse you anything so she nodded and jumped up from her seat. Placing a gentle kiss on your forehead, Maya headed for the door and briefly disappeared.
Pinching the bridge of your nose, you let your eyes close for a soft moment as you rode out a wave of pain that took control of your body, making you shiver. You would like to ask for painkiller immediately if your treating doctor comes in. But then Maya and also Carina would worry and insist that you would stay here for observation.
Something, you did not want at all.
"Hey Y/n," you had not even heard the door creak open through your trance as your eyes snapped open and followed the voice.
Acknowledging the well-known neurologist in front of you, you smiled at her. "Nice to see you awake again. You gave the two toughest women I know a real scare"
Amelia tapped the tablet in her hands, calling up your file before joining your bed and shining her little lamp in your eyes. The light burned like hell in them, but you tried not to let it show so as not to minimize your chances of being able to go home soon.
"They are always worried, no matter what I do"
You were impatient as she gently pulled down the thick plaster on your forehead to examine the cut for any inflammation. You hated hospitals, everything about them but most of all the atmosphere that came with them. Even though you knew everyone here and were taken care of as if you were one of them, you just could not bear to be here.
"Not always, but often enough. Because we love you" the blonde folded her arms tightly under her chest and pouted. Amelia could not help but laugh at your bickering while you rolled your eyes and immediately regretted it.
"It looks like everything is okay so far. No bleeding or other damage to your brain, though you have received a mild concussion due to the impact. I will bring you the discharge papers in a few hours. Please try to walk a few steps to get your circulation going, see if you get dizzy while standing up"
"I am fine. I can go home now," you quickly leaned forward and threw your legs over the edge of your bed. There was no way you would stay here just a minute longer. Sensing your stubbornness as she knew it from you, Maya crept back to your side. "Honey, you really should listen to Dr. Shepherd"
You slapped away your wife´s outstretched hand, and a momentary, horrible pain shot through your spine but you tried to ignore it. It was not her fault that you were here, nor that the neurologist wanted to let you walk a few steps, but she was the only one you could take your frustration out on.
"Y/n!" you stared up at the blonde, who had crowded your personal space. Along with the warm breath you could feel on your cheek, the awkward beeping pierced your ears once again. "Take it easy before you hurt yourself even more and have to stay here longer"
You were about to argue but the look on her face brushed you off. You did not have the energy for another argument so you fell back onto the bed, mimicking the blonde with your arms crossed under your chest while an annoyed frown laid across your forehead.
Your head hurt from the strain she had put on your ears, trying to understand the voices of Amelia and Maya clearer than the constant ringing while your ribs started to ache. You squinted your eyes as the soreness in your body took your whole attention before slipping close, gritting your teeth to force down a whimper that threatened to leave your lips.
Your headache worsened.

I know you usually don't write smut buuuuuuut... can you do a oneshot with Marina where the reader is an elite dancer in a dance company (not like ballet but more like Jojo Gomez) and they come to pick her up together but she isn't quite ready yet and they see her dance really spicy and at home it gets really spicy too because they're turned on?
Author's note:
I used my favorite choreography by Jojo Gomez as an example for this request. If you would like to get more deeply involved in the subject matter of this short story, you can watch her choreography for Rude Boy on YouTube. Please only readers and viewers aged 16+!!

Exhausted but with smiles on their faces, Maya and Carina left the fire station. Although the two of them were ready for a relaxing evening on the couch after a strenuous shift, the two of them had a common goal that evening: They wanted to surprise you and pick you up from the dance studio where you had been pursuing your hobby for years. It was the place where you loved to spend your evenings to unwind from your equally hard job and they had never visited it before while you danced there, their work usually got in the way.
As the women sat in the car, the streets gradually transitioned from day to night. There was a comfortable silence that testified to the intimacy of their marriage. Maya looked out the window and let her thoughts wander into the distance, while Carina concentrated on the path and traffic in front of her with a tired smile on her lips.
As they sat there in silence, the streetlights began to illuminate the streets as they got closer to the studio, stopping in a crowded parking lot and almost nervously making their way inside. As soon as they opened the door they were surprised by a warm atmosphere, the dance studio alive with children, teenagers and adults drawn to the music and laughter.
The two women stepped deeper into the crowd and walked up to reception to inquire about your stay in the three-story studio. "Excuse me, could you perhaps tell me where the elite group is currently having their lessons?" the blonde shouted across the counter, the music making it difficult to understand anything. The young woman nodded calmly, but did not hesitate to answer her with words. Instead, she held up three fingers, then pointed to the stairs that led up directly behind her.
Carina thanked her and pushed Maya forward by her shoulder blades. They walked up the stairs and entered the darkened floor. They stopped abruptly in front of a huge glass window and saw you in your fullest element. You danced with grace and abandon, as if you were one with the music, not missing a beat. Your facial expressions matched the song and your face radiated pure joy.
Maya's jaw dropped to the floor as she watched you sprawl on the floor and do all the movements she normally only knew from the bedroom. "Bambina, stop drooling," the brunette laughed out loud and sat down on one of the benches, pulling the blonde down next to her by her arm. But she was not listening anymore, her gaze falling over every curve on your body, observing how elegantly and at the same time sexy you moved.
It was not long enough for Maya when the music ended and your trainer proudly hugged you. Beaming with happiness and beads of sweat on your forehead, you slung your bag over your shoulder and walked out the door. You were immediately surprised by two grinning faces that hugged you warmly, as if they were celebrating your deep connection with this gesture. "That was amazing and really hot!" Carina admitted, pressing a passionate kiss to your lips, grinning as she examined the expression on her others wife's face. „What do you think, Maya?“
You looked down at the smaller woman, her light blue eyes suddenly seeming so dark. Her pupils were dilated and burning with unbridled desire. There was a greedy lust in her eyes that seemed to permeate every fiber of her body. While scanning your entire body and licking her lips with pleasure. "I think someone gets nailed to the wall as soon as they walk through the front door.“
You could not help but notice the way your breath caught in your throat and your heart had sped up ist beat significantly again. A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips, and you felt so incredibly turned on by the constant eye contact with her. She stepped forward, confusing you until you feel her warm breath against your ear. "Did you enjoy yourself?" mutters the blonde in a deep undertone, sending tingles down your spine while goosebumps spread all over your skin. You nodded modestly, your body exploding with heat. "Yes, I did."
A dark chuckle erupted from her throat and she pulled you into a deep and intimate kiss, her hand tightly wrapped around your neck to feel the pounding of your heart between her fingers. Her thumb remained under your chin as she pulled away from you. "Good. You will enjoy yourself even more when you take what I am willing to give you, sweetheart.“
ᕚ---ᕘ
You did not have time to realize what was happening to you as you stepped foot over the threshold of your apartment. In seconds, your hips were grabbed, you were spun around and pushed roughly against the door. You gasped as Maya pushed herself on you, eliminating the space between you. You were immobile to do anything.
Her lips slightly brushed against your jaw as she slowly moved down, leaving rough kisses behind. „Fuck, you should come watch more often," you breathed out, your voice coming out husky. You felt Maya smirk on your skin as she continued spreading kisses down your throat and on your collarbone. She kissed it softly, before starting to suck on it harshly, leaving a hickey behind. “Did that turn you on so much?”
"Not just her,“ your eyes opened reluctantly, now looking into the greedy and hungry eyes of Carina. She stepped closer to you, grabbing your wrists and pinned them above your head. She leaned down to you, her lips just inches away from yours. She was slowly lowering them down on yours, wrapping one hand around your neck to give her permission to access. You moaned and she plunged her tongue into your mouth, kissing you passionately. The brunette was slowly moving away to your earlobe, nibbling on it lightly. "I think we should move this to the bedroom. Maybe you can show us your moves in a private session."

Would you be okay with writing a Maya x Carina x daughter!reader?
Maybe a sick fic or some comfort
ᕚ---ᕘ
The first thing you felt was pain as unbearable as a thousand jackhammers smashing in your skull from the inside and pinning you to the ground. You could not even open your eyes, your lids heavy. Your mouth was dry, even after several liters of tea you had already consumed for your sore throat that felt like the desert and its sharply cutting sand. Your limbs completely cramped and heavy.
A cold breeze blew around your stomach, only a light wool blanket draped over your body to keep you warm and protected. But with every movement you tried to take, the coldness inside increased and made you shiver violently. You felt weak and feverish. "Honey, you gotta take this" a soft voice whispered and you slowly opened your eyes and blinked in confusion to adjust to the unusually bright and diffused light.
Your mother, Maya, was kneeling on a piece of crumpled bedspread on the floor, looking worriedly at your pale face before placing her hand on your forehead to feel the temperature while smiling sympathetically. Slowly and carefully not to inflict yourself even more pain, you peeked at her hand. In it, she held a small bottle that should bring you relief, the label with various herbs telling you that it had to be medication. "This will help bring down your fever."
You rolled your eyes suspiciously, not caring about the accompanying pain for a brief second. It was the most disgusting drug you have ever had to take in your life and your mothers knew full well that you hated it. However, it was the only thing that always helped you get back on your feet and get fit. "Ew, I do not want that."
"Eppure lo prenderai, bella." (And yet you have to take it) said the gynecologist who had appeared behind you and strolled across the entire living room to open the window and ventilate the room. She returned with a tray containing a freshly set teapot, a new cup and a plate of rusks. Carina carefully poured a cup of steaming chamomile tea and placed it on the table next to the couch before taking a rusk in her hands and breaking it into small pieces so that you could eat it more easily.
You pushed your head softly back into the pillow and pressed your back against the edge of the couch. Quickly, you grabbed the blanket and pulled it over your head. You heard a giggling from your side and within a few seconds, it was gently pulled back down. Two loving pairs of eyes met your flushed face. "I do not want to take this, it tastes disgusting."
Maya and Carina looked at you intently. The brunette gently strokes your tousled hair and whispers soothing words while the blonde already dripped the brown liquid onto a tablespoon. Frowning, you looked between both of them with puppy eyes, but even they no longer attracted them. The firefighter extended her arm and placed the edge of the spoon against your lip, waiting for you to accept it.
You knew it was high time to take the medication before they would take you to the hospital. Besides, you were lucky that your throat was so sore you could barely taste the bitterness. Still, you struggled with the slimy texture and wrinkled your nose as a defensive stance. Panting, you flop back onto the sofa. "Throat lozenges would have worked too,"
"No they would not," both chuckled. Maya rose from her position and bent down to kiss you gently on the forehead. With quick steps she hurried away to let the used cutlery disappear into the sink while Carina helped you eat the rusks while smiling lovingly at you. She quietly told you a story about her childhood in Italy with her little brother to make you forget the fever and the pain.
Without further ado, she carefully picked up your legs and dropped down next to you, your legs now resting on her lap. "Would you like me to warm you some soup?" the blonde called questioningly from the open kitchen, waiting for your answer. But the answer did not come, instead you grimaced sharply and hastily shook your head."I think your daughter is saying no,"
"It is your daughter too, Carina."
"Yes, but she definitely inherited the stubbornness from you," exhausted, you snuggled deeper into the blanket and tried to make the slightly bizarre taste in your mouth disappear. Tiredness, which you had so wonderfully repressed until now, slowly returned to your body. You tried desperately to shake it off but not a shred was averted. "Are you cold, mi amore?"
You nodded and the brunette felt you tremble under her touch. "I am freezing." She was worried, you had already been couch-locked for two days, the flu ravaging you and sapping your energy without any progress towards improvement. "Maya, can you bring another blanket. Please?"
"It is already on the way," the woman addressed made her way straight to the bedroom, occasionally taking a look into the living room. Your eyes fluctuated between half open and closed and if she was lucky, she would be able to spend a short time with you before you would fall into a deep, sound sleep once again. "And a hot water bottle?"
You had been in and out of sleep for days, barely awake for a few hours before your body shut down completely once again. On the one hand this was good, your body trying to beat this miserable disease. On the other hand, you had hardly eaten anything or moved from your place for days.
The headache slowly subsided, just as your cramped limbs became looser. For a few minutes you listened to the streams of sounds spreading through the apartment as you lost your thoughts. You kept feeling like you were on the verge of falling asleep until you opened your eyes again.
Eventually you gave up and totally surrendered to the feeling.
Just then, the firefighter came back into the center of the apartment and looked at her sleeping daughter. "Oh, she fell asleep?" she murmured and carefully draped the second blanket over you. She carefully placed the hot water bottle under the blanket and found its place on your stomach. The brunette raised an eyebrow and hesitated with her answer before she leaned forward and looked into your sleeping face. "Yes, the medication always makes her quite sleepy."
Smiling and silent, she sat down on the other sofa element and gently placed a hand on your head. She carefully stroked your hair and looked at the screen of the television, on which she concentrated on until you woke up once more. Maya had no intention of leaving your side.
