I was writing more of "Anonymous Ones" yesterday and wasn't feeling too terrible but today, COVID decided to hit me like a freight train and order I do nothing but sleep. So, here's a bit of what I've written so far.

“It doesn’t mean we don’t love you…”

“Or that you’ll never trust me again, you just need time,” Jackson interrupts. Addison arches one of her freshly tweezed brows. “I’ve heard it a lot these past few days.”

“Well, then, you know the whole speech.” She bends down and kisses his forehead. Jackson holds back a smile. “You know you can’t bring Milo with you.”

“Milo says he doesn’t want to be alone. That you should let me stay home and babysit him.”

“Oh, you think so, hm?” Addison crouches down a bit more and holds her head to Milo’s ear. “Oh? Is that right? Well, thank you for telling me.” Somehow, she keeps a straight face as Milo bats at her necklace. “Milo says that he wants his baby brother to go to work with us while he stays home.”

Jackson pokes out his tongue. “How am I the baby when I’m older than him?”

“He may be 3, but he’s 35 in cat years. You’re 26. Therefore, he’s the big brother,” Addison retorts, pushing herself to her feet. “Do you want to go pack your bag with stuff to do today? Or do you want Mark to do it?”

“I can do it.” And yet, he makes no attempts at getting up.

“You realize you will have to leave the couch to do that.”

“Again, Milo doesn’t want me to move.”

Addison snorts and scratches Milo behind the ears. That must be enough stimulation because he hops off Jackson’s lap and dashes to his cat tower.

general headcanons about addison as your caregiver! i was thinking of this in the context of you both working together at seattle grace & as a couple (this is entirely sfw though ofc!) but i think it can also be read as platonic too!

100% caregiver vibes - there’s a tiiiny bit of baby in there (she’s naturally just so cute i swear) but she has such motherly vibes that i know she’d make a great cg

As soon as you seem to be going through something and/or are in need of comfort, she is ready to be there for you in any ways she can

After everything she went through with the divorce with Derek, she understands the need for someone to just hold you and tell you that everything’ll work out in the end, as she never got that for herself; so all the more reason to provide that opportunity of a safe space which she never had, right? <3

She would absolutely SPOIL you - anything you wanted, she would get for you. When you first told her about how you regress, she asked for your favourite colours, animals, kiddo tv shows, and she would get bottles and pacis and anything you can think of with your favourite things on!!

A great listener of course - she knows all your stuffies’ names, your favourite kiddo foods, each step of your bedtime routine, even your favourite scented shampoo which makes a cool bubble bath too! :0

If you felt up to it, she would love playing dress-up with you: letting you give her a makeover, picking outfits for each other, turning the living room into a catwalk, you name it

This’ll go without saying but she’d baby you so much if you were sick, like with the flu or something, she would insist on staying home to make soup and cuddle you through the pain. As a doctor she naturally wants to take care of people’s ailments, but especially anything to do with you - she cares so much about you

As mentioned earlier she would wanna help you out in any ways she can, she automatically steps in to help whenever you’re feeling little - taking a bit longer to tie your shoelaces? She’s there! trying to read a confusing recipe on how to bake cookies? She’s weighing out the ingredients for you ^^

And this caring nature is also prevalent at the hospital (imagining you work together at seattle grace); you could be sat in an empty room for 2 minutes on your break and she’ll come in and use a few petnames on you to see how you react (her sneaky way of seeing whether you feel like regressing or not)

We all know she’s a neonatal surgeon - imagine you’re sat watching over the tiny bubs in the NICU together and she makes comments like “this little one has your cute lil smile!!” or “aww, you pout like that when you want cuddles tooooo”

Her favourite petname for you is ‘sweetie’. She is calling you that every other sentence I swear

She just has such motherly vibes overall! Like she’ll lay you across her lap and play with your hair, whispering about how she’s so proud of you for getting through the day, telling you a story about your stuffies

10 Sheldon Wallace: ISTJ

Sheldon Wallace (Brian Benben) would be an ISTJ or "Responsible Realist." He's the most serious character on the show and as a psychiatrist, he has many ISTJ personality traits. He's "systematic" and "logical" and "reasonable."

Sheldon's personal life is often part of the story, as he is diagnosed with cancer in the sixth season, and in earlier seasons, he goes out with co-workers Violet and Charlotte. Sheldon is "reserved" but he is able to open up enough to discover true love with Miranda (Dianne Farr). The two end up together, and it's so nice to see Sheldon happy.

9 Amelia Shepherd: INTJ

Caterina Scorsone plays the brilliant brain surgeon Amelia Shepherd on both Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. The sister of the late McDreamy, she has a lot of family baggage and a history of addiction and alcoholism.

Amelia is an INTJ or "Conceptual Planner." She's "decisive" and "demanding." When Amelia gets something into her head, she's going to do it, and she also has the INTJ trait of being "private." Part of the reason Amelia struggles so much with her personal demons is that she really doesn't open up to other people.

8 Pete Wilder: ESFJ

Tim Daly's character, Pete Wilder, and Violet Turner have a whirlwind romance. They're both sensitive and emotional types, even though Violet shows it more than Pete does. Sadly, as tends to happen on a Shondland series, Pete does pass away. He has a heart attack in the sixth and final season.

Pete's MBTI would be ESFJ or "Supportive Contributor." ESFJs are said to "value family" and that's Pete, as he's a dedicated partner and a wonderful dad to their son, Lucas. He's "responsible" and often feels a personal connection with his patients. He works with alternative medicine at Oceanside Wellness.

7 Dell Parker: ISFJ

Chris Lowell is the adorable Dell Parker, the Oceanside Wellness receptionist who has a dark past. He experienced mistreatment growing up and is extremely sensitive to the people around him.

His MBTI would be ISFJ or "Practical Helper" as he really does make it his mission to be there for others. This includes his wife Heather (Agnes Bruckner) and their daughter. Since Heather is an addict (and even loses her life because of it), Dell has to be the compassionate caregiver. He's "thoughtful of others" and "devoted."

6 Charlotte King: ENTJ

KaDee Strickland's Private Practice character Charlotte King seems removed from the rest of the gang at first. She's a no-nonsense type of doctor who seems to put up walls and not want to get to know people.

Even when Charlotte goes through the hardest thing imaginable (her attack in the episode "Did You Hear What Happened To Charlotte King?"), she still struggles to be vulnerable and talk about feelings. Her MBTI would be ENTJ or "Decisive Strategist." She's a great leader as the hospital's Chief of Staff and creates Pacific Wellcare Center, which competes with Oceanside Wellness. She's "tough" and likes to "provide structure" and is also a "natural critic."

5 Cooper Freedman: ESTP

Cooper Freedman (Paul Adelstein) is basically a big kid. He's a pediatrician who relates to his patients and has spent most of his adult life trying not to grow up. In spite of the times that he can be silly and immature, he's charming and kind, and he manages to catch the eye of his co-worker, super strong Charlotte King. Once the two characters start a relationship, it's really good for both of them and helps each of them grow. They end up living happily ever after with a family.

Cooper's MBTI would be ESTP or "Energetic Problem Solver." He's "outgoing" and "enthusiastic" and also quite the "easygoing" guy."

4 Violet Turner: INFP

Amy Brenneman's Private Practice character, Violet Turner, is definitely the most sensitive of the bunch... so it makes sense that she's the therapist at Oceanside Wellness.

Violets an INFP or "Thoughtful Idealist." She sees the good in everyone, from patients to her best pal Cooper, and she's "virtuous" and has a "long-range vision." She's also "compassionate" and "curious." Sometimes Violet's job becomes dramatic and disturbing, like when her patient Katie literally attempts to take her baby out of her stomach while she's still pregnant. But she still believes in helping people and her job is very important to her.

3 Sam Bennett: ENTJ

Sam Bennett (Taye Tiggs) used to be married to Naomi, and although fans do ship those two, he also dates Addison and they have a pretty complicated romance.

Sam's MBTI would be ENTJ or "Compassionate Facilitator." ENTJs are team players and that's definitely Sam. He's social and talkative and seems to enjoy being part of the group of doctors. ENTJs are also "verbal" and "people-oriented." He's a straight shooter who is always honest, even when he's talking to Naomi about his dating life and telling her that she seems envious of him.

2 Naomi Bennett: ESTJ

Naomi Bennett (Audra McDonald) spends a lot of time on the show pretending that she's not still madly in love with her ex-husband Sam. Besides that, she's hilarious, sweet, a great mom to their teenage daughter Maya, and Addison's best friend.

Kate Walsh is the star of Private Practice. When Addison Montgomery relocates to California and gets a job at Oceanside Wellness, she has to be a team player and also look out for what she wants out of life.

Addison is a brilliant neonatal surgeon who sounds like the most like an ENTP or "Enterprising Explorer." ENTPs are "often innovative in their way of thinking" which applies to her decision to move to California and do something different, working in private practice instead of a hospital setting. She will "take initiative" and is also "challenging."

I got the idea for this chapter of "My Boy" in the shower. It's not going to come for awhile, but it's what I'm writing right now. So, in the future when Mark & Jackson aren't arguing and Addison is in Seattle...

Addison: I need you to meet me in the ER. Room 9.

Derek blinks a couple of times to make sure he has the right name on the screen. He starts to type a response but knows whatever it is, has to be bad. Addison wouldn’t be here, asking for his help of all people’s otherwise. So, he pushes his salad away and heads down there.

He isn’t sure what he expected to find, but it certainly wasn’t Jackson sitting on the cot dressed in his favorite Barney pajamas with a washcloth pressed to his forehead. Nor Addison standing beside him, a forced smile clearly riddled with nerves on her face.

“Uncle Der’k,” Jackson whines. “Wan’ Daddy.”

Derek nods. “Okay, I’ll see if I can find him. Can you tell me what happened first?”

“Fell…got owie.”

Derek’s eyes flicker to his ex-wife. She takes a deep breath. “He was sitting on the counter while I got his toothbrush ready. I turned for 5 seconds and well…”

She walks over and gently takes Jackson’s hand off the cloth to reveal the wound. Derek keeps a poker face as he takes in the deep cut.  Addison rubs her hand up and down Jackson’s back, keeping her eyes on Derek.

“Mark is going to k-i-l-l me.”

I’ve been working on the next “Anonymous Ones” for like 3 days and it’s a very slow process. So, here’s a look at Alex and Jackson’s talk.

“Can we talk alone?”

Meredith tilts her head and raises a brow. “Alex…”

“I’m not going to beat him up or anything!” Alex practically whines. “I just want to talk without the four of you hovering around.”

Addison, Mark, Meredith and Derek all exchange some looks, clearly having a silent conversation. Alex is staring at Jackson now. He doesn’t look pissed off like he did the night before. In fact, he’s kind of hard to read. Not completely embarrassed but also not friendly. Jackson tightens his arms.

Mark looks back at Jackson. “Are you okay with that Jack?”

He isn’t sure. But he also remembers Mark saying something about how Alex regresses younger than Jackson. Not by much. Jackson usually regresses at around 2-3 years old, if not a bit younger sometimes. Alex falls between 18 months to 2 years. If he can handle talking alone, then Jackson can too.

“Yeah, it’s fine.”

Mark arches a brow. “You sure?”

“Uh huh. Can we just get this over with?”

Mark gives him a stern look but it doesn’t last very long. Instead, he squeezes his shoulder. Meredith points to a spot halfway onto the grass.

“You two can go right there, no further. We’ll sit at the table. One sign of an argument and you’re coming back here.”

Jackson nods. “Yes, ma’am.”

Meredith wrinkles her nose but Alex is already striding for the designated spot. Jackson slowly follows behind him. Realistically, he figures Alex won’t start a fight. Unless he’s trying to bait him again. Jackson sticks his hands in his pockets. There’s no way he can punch him if they’re in there.

Alex glances over his shoulder once they’re there. Their foster parents are gathered around the picnic table, watching them.

“Fuck,” Alex says.

Jackson furrows his brows until he sees Alex staring back down the field. He shrugs and turns back to Jackson.

“Alright, we’re good.”

“Huh?”

“If they could hear us, Derek or Meredith would lecture me for cursing.”

“The get together is becoming bigger than expected,” Addison says as she pours her brother a cup of coffee. “Now, Miranda, Ben, Callie and Arizona are coming once they’re off work.”

Archer surveys the living room. “You’re going to fit everyone in here?” He raises a brow.

“No. Hell no.” Addison shakes her head. “Derek and Mer offered to host. They’ve got that fancy new living room anyway since their house is done.”

“Am I still invited?”

Addison rolls her eyes. “Yes, Derek has agreed you’re allowed to enter his home. So long as we blindfold you and don’t give you the address.”

“Ha ha ha.”

“I think it was a real suggestion so you don’t know where he lives but Amelia talked him out of it.”

Addison catches the look on her brother’s face. She opens her mouth to say something but an excited voice comes down the hall.

“Archie!”

Jackson runs into the kitchen, nearly tripping over one of the stools that are pushed away from the island. Addison grabs him by his Barney shirt and gently pulls him up right. He wiggles against her, pouting.

The Anonymous Ones: Chapt. 1 [Hot Meal]

Jackson Avery walks around with a smile painted on his face, so no one knows the secrets he keeps buried underneath. That is until his mentor breaks through those walls. For the first time, Jackson has not just caregivers but parents that give a damn. If only leaving behind years of trauma was that easy.

“I know. Because you’re a da…foster dad.”

The quick correction sits heavily over them for a minute. Mark tightens his grasp on Jackson, making sure he’s still knocked out.

“Patricia’s still trying to find Robert.”

Addison frowns. “Would they really give custody to him? He hasn’t seen Jackson in over 20 years.”

“I don’t know. I mean, you would hope not. But…you’ve heard of it happening. It did to Owen when he was fostering Leo. His grandparents showed up out of the blue and got custody.”

“Yes, but there’s a difference between youth foster care and Little foster care. Plus, they didn’t know he existed. Robert’s known where Jackson is more or less and hasn’t come. I looked into it. Catherine had sole custody until she died, then Harper took over.”

“I read the same documents. Robert still never signed away his rights.” He pauses. “Which he could do now if they find him.”

Addison’s eyebrows knit together. “Would he?”

“I don’t know. And I don’t know which I’d prefer.” Mark takes a deep breath. “I want what’s best for Jackson. I want him to be happy. And if that’s Robert, if he’s safe, if Jackson wanted that…I guess we’d have to accept it.”

“But if he did sign away his rights?”
