— will usually let them stay up past bedtime a bit anyway if they’re watching a show or something together. she very pointedly adheres to a kiddos ‘if I stay really still you’ll forget I’m even awake’

— she’s very protective, and absolutely not a fan of any repression or negative talk about her kid/regressing. she has, can and will utilise the baby hammer she’s mastered; whether it’s just comfort, or words, or a silent way where her kid can pretend it’s not going on

— buys them cute pjs (themed, and matching, etc) and clothes all the time, and little trinkets and toys. it’s frankly a miracle they’re not a spoiled little terror, but she’s always so happy if they’re happy (within reason)

— she’s not good at the voices with storytime, but she is sooo good at lullabies, or dramatic retellings of a story without the voices. she’s a pro at the specific pitch/pace to get somebody to pass out ultra quickly

— is always happy to take her kid out to fun little events, like the shops or carnivals/fairs, or out to cute cafes, or the movies. she cycles through different events and despite insisting otherwise, she always ends up buying some sort of trinket from the location

100% caregiver vibes - there’s a tiiiny bit of baby in there (she’s naturally just so cute i swear) but she has such motherly vibes that i know she’d make a great cg

As soon as you seem to be going through something and/or are in need of comfort, she is ready to be there for you in any ways she can

After everything she went through with the divorce with Derek, she understands the need for someone to just hold you and tell you that everything’ll work out in the end, as she never got that for herself; so all the more reason to provide that opportunity of a safe space which she never had, right? <3

She would absolutely SPOIL you - anything you wanted, she would get for you. When you first told her about how you regress, she asked for your favourite colours, animals, kiddo tv shows, and she would get bottles and pacis and anything you can think of with your favourite things on!!

A great listener of course - she knows all your stuffies’ names, your favourite kiddo foods, each step of your bedtime routine, even your favourite scented shampoo which makes a cool bubble bath too! :0

If you felt up to it, she would love playing dress-up with you: letting you give her a makeover, picking outfits for each other, turning the living room into a catwalk, you name it

This’ll go without saying but she’d baby you so much if you were sick, like with the flu or something, she would insist on staying home to make soup and cuddle you through the pain. As a doctor she naturally wants to take care of people’s ailments, but especially anything to do with you - she cares so much about you

As mentioned earlier she would wanna help you out in any ways she can, she automatically steps in to help whenever you’re feeling little - taking a bit longer to tie your shoelaces? She’s there! trying to read a confusing recipe on how to bake cookies? She’s weighing out the ingredients for you ^^

And this caring nature is also prevalent at the hospital (imagining you work together at seattle grace); you could be sat in an empty room for 2 minutes on your break and she’ll come in and use a few petnames on you to see how you react (her sneaky way of seeing whether you feel like regressing or not)

We all know she’s a neonatal surgeon - imagine you’re sat watching over the tiny bubs in the NICU together and she makes comments like “this little one has your cute lil smile!!” or “aww, you pout like that when you want cuddles tooooo”

Her favourite petname for you is ‘sweetie’. She is calling you that every other sentence I swear

She just has such motherly vibes overall! Like she’ll lay you across her lap and play with your hair, whispering about how she’s so proud of you for getting through the day, telling you a story about your stuffies

Caterina Scorsone plays the brilliant brain surgeon Amelia Shepherd on both Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. The sister of the late McDreamy, she has a lot of family baggage and a history of addiction and alcoholism.

Amelia is an INTJ or "Conceptual Planner." She's "decisive" and "demanding." When Amelia gets something into her head, she's going to do it, and she also has the INTJ trait of being "private." Part of the reason Amelia struggles so much with her personal demons is that she really doesn't open up to other people.

8 Pete Wilder: ESFJ

Tim Daly's character, Pete Wilder, and Violet Turner have a whirlwind romance. They're both sensitive and emotional types, even though Violet shows it more than Pete does. Sadly, as tends to happen on a Shondland series, Pete does pass away. He has a heart attack in the sixth and final season.

Since Heather is an addict (and even loses her life because of it), Dell has to be the compassionate caregiver. He's "thoughtful of others" and "devoted."

6 Charlotte King: ENTJ

KaDee Strickland's Private Practice character Charlotte King seems removed from the rest of the gang at first. She's a no-nonsense type of doctor who seems to put up walls and not want to get to know people.

Even when Charlotte goes through the hardest thing imaginable (her attack in the episode "Did You Hear What Happened To Charlotte King?"), she still struggles to be vulnerable and talk about feelings. Her MBTI would be ENTJ or "Decisive Strategist." She's a great leader as the hospital's Chief of Staff and creates Pacific Wellcare Center, which competes with Oceanside Wellness. She's "tough" and likes to "provide structure" and is also a "natural critic."

5 Cooper Freedman: ESTP

Cooper Freedman (Paul Adelstein) is basically a big kid. He's a pediatrician who relates to his patients and has spent most of his adult life trying not to grow up. In spite of the times that he can be silly and immature, he's charming and kind, and he manages to catch the eye of his co-worker, super strong Charlotte King. Once the two characters start a relationship, it's really good for both of them and helps each of them grow. They end up living happily ever after with a family.

Sam Bennett (Taye Tiggs) used to be married to Naomi, and although fans do ship those two, he also dates Addison and they have a pretty complicated romance.

13. Too loud

Mark never thought he’d be that parent. The one with the child who screamed so loud in public, it elicited stares from other people. But he also thought, if for some forsaken reason it ever happened to him, he’d feel embarrassed.

Now, he’s the one glaring at the onlookers as he cuddles Jackson as close as possible on the crowded subway. Addison fishes the noise-cancelling headphones out of the diaper bag and slides them over her son’s ears.

“There you go, Bug,” she soothes.

Mark rubs circles on his back. “I know Ducky, I know. It’s too loud.” Jackson buries his damp face in his neck. Mark glances over at Addison. “We never should’ve taken this thing. There’s no way to get off.

“The next stop is in a few minutes. We can catch a cab to take us the rest of the way.”

“This trip was a bad idea,” Mark mutters as Jackson’s screams turn into muffled sobs. “It’s too loud out here. There’s too much going on. He’s off-routine. Why did I think it was a good idea?”

“You wanted to see Carolyn for her birthday.”

“Yeah, well, next year…I’m sending a card.”

“You want to actually get our tree a whole week before Thanksgiving? You know we have off for the holiday.”

“Yeah, and all the farms will be busy. If we go early, we can avoid the crowds. It’ll be easier on Jackson.” Mark nods. “But, Mark, if I let you do this, you are not going to Clark Griswold it. No bringing home a tree with a squirrel that’s going to scare the crap out of Milo and ruin our Christmas dinner.”

“We’re going to Mer and Derek’s for Christmas dinner.” Addison fixes him with a Look. “Just trying to lighten the mood. But I solemnly swear I will not turn into Chevy Chase on a holiday high.”

“Good.”

“So…we can go?”

“Yes. You can cut down the Christmas tree like the Paul Bunyan you are.”

I was writing more of "Anonymous Ones" yesterday and wasn't feeling too terrible but today, COVID decided to hit me like a freight train and order I do nothing but sleep. So, here's a bit of what I've written so far.

“It doesn’t mean we don’t love you…”

“Or that you’ll never trust me again, you just need time,” Jackson interrupts. Addison arches one of her freshly tweezed brows. “I’ve heard it a lot these past few days.”

“Well, then, you know the whole speech.” She bends down and kisses his forehead. Jackson holds back a smile. “You know you can’t bring Milo with you.”

“Milo says he doesn’t want to be alone. That you should let me stay home and babysit him.”

“Oh, you think so, hm?” Addison crouches down a bit more and holds her head to Milo’s ear. “Oh? Is that right? Well, thank you for telling me.” Somehow, she keeps a straight face as Milo bats at her necklace. “Milo says that he wants his baby brother to go to work with us while he stays home.”

Jackson pokes out his tongue. “How am I the baby when I’m older than him?”

“He may be 3, but he’s 35 in cat years. You’re 26. Therefore, he’s the big brother,” Addison retorts, pushing herself to her feet. “Do you want to go pack your bag with stuff to do today? Or do you want Mark to do it?”

“I can do it.” And yet, he makes no attempts at getting up.

“You realize you will have to leave the couch to do that.”

“Again, Milo doesn’t want me to move.”

Addison snorts and scratches Milo behind the ears. That must be enough stimulation because he hops off Jackson’s lap and dashes to his cat tower.

21. “How much sleep did you get last night?”

“I just got home,” Jackson whines as Mark puts a hand on each shoulder and guides him down the hall. “It’s only…” He glances at his watch and manages to barely stifle a yawn. “9:00. I don’t need a nap.”

“Oh yeah? How much sleep did you get last night?”

“I was in surgery for 8 hours. Not exactly time to sleep.”

“Then that’s all the more reason you need a nap.”

Jackson whines as he’s lead into his parents’ bedroom. Addison is still sat up in bed, typing on her laptop. She stops as soon as she sees them and pushes her computer to the side, holding her arms open. Jackson looks at her for all of 10 seconds. He debates whining further or potentially trying to make a run for it.

But another yawn crashes through his mouth and he collapses on the bed beside her. She wraps her arms around him and kisses the top of his head.

“Good morning to you too, Bug,” she whispers.

“Tell Dad I don’t need to sleep,” he mumbles.

Addison chuckles. “That I can’t do. But what I can is let you take a nice long nap.”

“If I sleep too long…”

“I won’t let you sleep past 2:00,” she promises. “And Daddy will make you something really good for lunch.”

Jackson sighs, burying his head into her chest. She caresses the back of his neck. The motion combined with the fresh laundry detergent coming off her hoodie is enough to lull him into a much needed sleep.

“What’s going on here? Is my little kitty cat up?” Jackson nods, yawning a little, making him look even more adorable in his Barney footie pajamas with the matching pacifier clipped to them. “I thought you were sleeping.”

“Wanna s’eep in big bed.” Addison walks over to them. “That ‘kay, Mommy?”

“That’s more than okay.” She kisses his forehead. He makes grabby hands so she takes him into her arms and cuddles him for a moment. “You want Mommy and Daddy to lay with you?”

“Jus’ Daddy…Mommy s’eep later?”

“Yes. I’ll finish folding up a certain little kitten’s laundry.” Addison tickles his cheek, smiling when he giggles. “And then I’ll shower and come snuggle with my boys.”

“‘Kay. No stay up too late, Mommy. Need lotsss of s’eep.”

Addison kisses his nose. “I won’t stay up too late, I promise. Now, you make sure your daddy gets some sleep. He’s very, very old, so it’s important.” Mark rolls his eyes. “I’m only a few months older than you, Red.”

“Still a very old man.” She gives Jackson one last kiss before passing him back over. The little boy nods in agreement.

“Daddy superrr old. Uncle Der and Daddy dinos.”

Mark narrows his eyes. “Oh, really?”

“Uh huh. Lexy said so.”

“And what are Mommy and Auntie Meredith?”

“P’etty,” Jackson declares, putting his pacifier in his mouth.

Mark shakes his head. “Well, I can’t argue there.” He pecks Addison’s cheek. “This old man better get this baby to bed.”

“Sweet dreams, Grandpa.”

“Daddy, Mama,” Jackson mumbles beneath his pacifier. “Not Gran’pa Capt’in.”

Addison squeaks while Mark can’t hold back his laugh. Jackson’s eyelashes flutter sleepily, too tired to pick up on it. As Bizzy and Captain didn’t even want to be known as “mom and dad” to their kids, they kept insisting that Jackson call them by their first name. Ever the polite people pleaser, he did just that…until Archer talked him into calling them “Grandpa Captain” and “Nana Bizzy” while regressed. Not that Bizzy and Captain see or speak to Jackson all that often, but the look on their faces every time those words leave his mouth is enough to remind Addison why she keeps her brother around.

2. This was a mistake

“This was a mistake,” Derek remarks as he looks at the crowds of Littles and caregivers swarming the lobby of the local arena, all decked out in various Disney gear.

“I’m blaming Hunt,” Mark yells to be heard over the crowd. He lifts Jackson into his arms, ignoring his squirming. “Nuh uh, no way, JackJack. You’re not getting lost.”

“Out,” Alex whines from his stroller.

“If you’re coming out, I’m holding you too,” Derek says. Alex pouts but ultimately opens and closes his hands, signaling he wants to be picked up. Derek complies.

“Wanna see Mickey,” Alex declares.

Jackson nods, adjusting the noise reducing headphones over his ears. “An’ Pluto.”

“We’re going to see all of them, don’t worry,” Mark promises, rubbing his son’s back.

April’s high-pitched squeal cuts through the crowd. Jackson winces, touching his headphones again. “Lex! JackJack!”

Dressed head-to-toe in her Princess Anna costume, April runs through the crowd with Owen following right behind her. Jackson and Alex go back to squirming in their dads’ arms. Reluctantly, they’re placed on the ground, with Derek and Mark standing right beside them so they don’t run off.

“Got you guys presents!” April announces, holding up 3 wands with The Fab Five spinning on the top. They light up and sing when she presses each of the buttons before handing them over to her cousins.

Mark glares daggers at Owen. “Thank you so much, Uncle Owen,”

Owen shrugs. “What? They’re cool. And you only see Disney on Ice once.”

“Says who?”

“Says me, because I’m never doing this again.” He looks around. “Where are your wives?”

“Either still in the bathroom or they took off to the b-a-r across the street.”

“Nah,” Meredith says, appearing next to her husband with Addison. She holds a tray with slushies in Mickey cups, boxes of popcorn and various candy. Addison holds another tray with adult size cups. “We wouldn’t be that mean.”

Addison takes in the wands. “Where did those come from?”

“Uncle Owen!” Jackson exclaims, jamming the button and causing the music to start up again.

“Oh, how nice.” She gives her pseudo-brother-in-law a look. “How many months until April’s birthday again?”

Owen rolls his eyes. “I’m so scared.”

“You really should be.”

“Wanna see Mickey!” Alex whines for about the 50th time since they left the house.

“Alright, alright, Monkey.” Derek squeezes his shoulder. “Let’s go find our seats. I have a feeling it’ll be a long show.”
