Turner 44d, Vintage omnidirectional dynamic microphone, and 33c crystal microphone. the 44 is more square, with a large cast grill, and the 33 is a round streamline shape, with a mesh grill

This microphone was sold with a dynamic or crystal cartage, and made a sort of pair with the type 33, which had a different style, but the same innards. eventually the crystal 44 and dynamic 33 were eliminated, cementing the 44 the nicer (and more expensive) of the pair.

I love the retro-future look on these things, I always think the 44 looks like cylon

These old omni dynamics's actually sound pretty good. The early cardiod mic's aren't very useful, but an omni mic is inherently more linear, so they tend to sound better.

I don't know what the crystal version sounded like, they used natural quartz crystals that became brittle when exposed to moisture, and I have never seen one working. However, other crystal microphones of this type are known for poor frequency response and distorted signal.

Paddy hadn't even struggled when Augustin moved him onto his stomach.

So Augustin had kissed him and began the process of unbuttoning his shirt, Eoin had began to relax under his touch, leaning towards him as best he could pinned to the ground.

"Wait!"Eoin had pulled away abruptly.

"What is it petit?" Augustin had asked, a bit annoyed he had to stop kissing Eoin's smooth lean chest.

"Will not mind." Augustin had finished before moving back up along Eoin's body.

Eoin had obeyed tilting his head slightly.

Augustin bit him slowly as not to frighten him.

Eoin's blood was just as rich as Paddy's but while Paddy's blood was rich and wild, Eoin's was comforting and sweet with just a hint of salt.

When Augustin had fucked him he had been gentle.

Opening him up slowly and lovingly.

So Augustin had them both, wise, responsible Eoin, and mad, aggressive Paddy.

This is an example of studio recording techniques for text. This one required a voice actor, or in this case a number of voice actors, to read a description of the book "A Furious Devotion: The Life of Shane McGowan." This process involved an AT2020 Condenser Microphone with Cardiod Polar Response in a treated sound proof room.

The recording then had an EQ effect applied to it and compression was then used to get the audio level correct as well.
