You Belong With Me
@captainxkillianxjones
Emma and Killian were inseparable since they were kids and their friendship grew with them, the one never being seen without the other despite the objections of their parents. Killian spent the majority of his time at her house as his father constantly worked, and Emma seemed to always know how much he longed for that father-son relationship. Since he’s always around my dad. Killian was the one person who knew her faults, her strengths, her weaknesses, her favourite colour, how to tell when she was lying... everything that a best friend should know about the other. No argument was really ever too big to get between them, which was a rarity in the world surrounding them now. In fact, it was so rare that her parents often reminded her to hold onto that friendship in the years that were sure to come, and never allow anything or anyone to rip them apart.
And she listened.
David Nolan had accepted a job offer that was on the other side of the country. It required them to move almost immediately after her freshman year in high school began, which left Emma feeling defeated by the news that she would be leaving her best friend behind in the small Maine town. The year had already started out being a confusing and stressful time as her feelings for Killian moved from being strictly platonic to something more, but the feeling of leaving all of that behind... of what could have been⎯⎯⎯ it made her feel nothing but anger and regret for not acting sooner. He probably views me as a friend anyway. She thought, I’m probably not missing out on anything. As boxes grew in quantity around her room and the house, it also lead to her final day of classes with Killian, their final outing to the docks they spent the majority of their time at. He was her best friend..., someone she was starting to develop feelings for. This isn’t fair.
Emma spent her years in high school on the other side of the country and struggled in her studies and creating friendships. A few nice people came and went but no concrete friendships were created, nothing that would make her truly happy to wake up and want to attend classes. In Maine, Emma longed to see Killian and some of her other friends, but the adjustment now was a hurdle she couldn’t seem to climb over without help. Her parents could see the light they loved about her gone, which was a feeling David was also experiencing in his own life. The job he left Maine for was proving to be stressful on him, which was affecting his health far too much that concerned his family. Was moving back to Maine a possibility? Could he get his old job back but with a raise where could make a decent living while supporting his family? After weeks of counter offers being made, Emma couldn’t believe the news that they were moving back home. She was able to finish her senior year alongside her friends, alongside Killian. Emma couldn’t be happier.
That summer also lead to Emma wanting to confess her feelings after holding onto them for over 3 years. Each time Emma opened her mouth to bring those words to fruition, she always went onto a completely different topic. He’s probably not interested in me. She thought, again. Why risk getting hurt?It was a never-ending discussion she had with herself. Emma wanted to spend their summer before college without her memories turning into negative ones. It’s what lead Emma into meeting Neal Cassidy at a local diner and immediately the two had chemistry, which provided Emma with an outlet to try and “forget” about Killian. While Emma focused on building a friendship with Neal over the first semester, the second lead to the two being inseparable as a relationship formed that summer and lasted well into the start of their senior year.
With one month of their senior year behind them, they were already preparing for one of the first exams. Emma and Neal meeting up with Killian at the local diner ended up being a tradition. It was home to numerous study sessions, laughs, and thought provoking discussions with the trio. It also provided Emma with some form of security, her thoughts about Neal’s odd behavior never coming to mind when Killian was a source of laughter for them. The last six months took an odd turn for Emma once Neal’s schedule piled up with more studies and work. For awhile she thought he was saving on possibly proposing the following semester once they graduated, but the signs she dropped to confirm that theory never went over well. He always made some excuse for being late to their dates, for having to cancel plans last minute... Something didn’t seem right and Emma loved him, never wanting to question his motives and risk being wrong.
“You two need to stop acting like children.” Emma laughed as she brought the straw to her lips, sipping her soda while moving closer to Neal. His arm had been around her for the majority of their dinner despite wanting to run away whenever they brought up one of her many embarrassing moments.
“What?” Neal asked with a smirk on his face as the playfulness of his tone fell past his lips. “We can’t help but talk about what happened in class last semester when you’re around, Em.”
“Neal!” Emma laughed, “The fact that you two are so close because you poke fun at me for something I said MONTHS ago is getting kind of old, don’t you think?”
“Not really.” He replied, “You’re quite the comedian, Em.”
Emma laughed before taking a bite of her meal while looking up at Killian. “You started this. I hate you.”
Neal smiled to himself before looking at the clock, his eyes glancing at his phone to a text message Emma couldn’t seem to make out. “I have to go.”
“You just got here, Neal... Again?” Neal took another bite of his food before throwing a few bucks on the table to pay for it, not bothering to put enough money down to pay for Emma’s. “I’m sorry, babe. I have to get to my other job.”
Emma sighed, nodding. “I.. I understand. I love you..” When Neal said goodbye and stood up, Emma reached over to give him a kiss goodbye where she was met with complete abandonment as Neal left the diner. She sat in her seat looking hurt while a single tear fell down her cheek. Emma didn’t want Killian to see her upset and so she brought her hand up to dry her cheeks before turning to face Killian. “H.. he’s working a lot. He says he has a lot.. a lot of bills to pay.” Her eyes then diverted to the cash Neal had left, clenching her lips together in anger knowing that the amount near his plate was just enough to cover his own meal.

Give Me Love Like Never Before
@captainxkillianxjones
At a very young age, Emma Swan was considered an orphan. She never knew her parents and she pretty much grew up in the orphanage, only to go from one house to another and then back to her so called home. During her young and mischievous phase, she would often steal things because she could not afford a lot.
In her “home” she had grew up with many of the other foster children whose parents did not want them as well. That is where she met a young boy named Killian Jones. He had these blue eyes that somehow sparkled in the florescent lights of the home.
 Emma and Killian were, you could say, two best buds that got to know each other through a lot. They knew of each other’s past, if they had any homes that they wished they could live in and always were hoping to be adopted to a family so they could leave the orphanage for good.
Fast forward to the present and Emma Swan was now a sheriff off sorts for a small town in New York. She always had this hidden gift of being able to tell when someone was lying to her, so she thought she could use that and pay back the town for all the times she stole things as well. She would, essentially, kill two birds with one stone.
Emma, now twenty-eight years old, met her parents that gave her up, because she used her detective skills to find out why they gave her up and created a bond with them, just so she could say she had a “normal” family. Still keeping in touch with them, every once in a while, her mother and her best friend think it would be a good idea to send Emma on a blind date. Of course, she refused at first, but agreed to meet the guy at a local bar that was not too far from her, just in case the date did not turn out as well as her mom and best friend would think it did.
The blonde picked out a red dress that was detailed with some black, and took her red coat with her to walk to the bar. She figured she would walk and take a seat to arrive a little early. Once she walked in, she grabbed a drink before sitting at a small table set for two people, as she waited for this Walsh guy that she was set up with.
About ten, then fifteen minutes pass, and Emma is already on her second drink and knows that this guy must have stood her up. That is when she stands up to grab her coat, ready to go home and watch some television in bed.

Come Run Away With Me
@captainxkillianxjones
Regina was more than content with her life living on the farm and working the mill alongside her father. She loved her father and spent every waking moment with him. But her mother??? The young woman did love her mother and yet she also feared her, which was an emotion no mother should ever make their children feel.
Cora wanted Regina to excel in riding with the hopes of gaining favor in the eyes of the king, to marry into royalty and one day take over the kingdom she hated since her youth. Regina wanted nothing to do with status, with impressing a king who just lost his wife. She wanted to live her life the way she wanted, to fall in love with whomever she wanted on her own terms.
If it weren’t for her mother’s dark magic that scared her often, Regina would have no qualms about standing up to the darkness that had consumed her mother. She longed to feel a genuine love and respect that a daughter often desires, but Regina had to look elsewhere for such and was relieved to have one parent who supported her.
The day started out like any other for the young woman. She was forced out of bed to get started with her reading lessons, biting her tongue so she wouldn’t have to face her mother’s wrath for complaining. One hour passed and then another before giving up entirely at just the right time her mother left to run some kind of errand. Probably in need of more dark spells or something to that extent. She sighed out of relief before closing her book and headed out towards the stable. She didn’t know how to ride well and yet developed such a love for the creatures that showed nothing but kindness towards her. If only my mother would do the same to me.
She walked up the hill and while doing so nearly collided into a young man once reaching the stables. “I’m so- I’m so sorry...” Regina stuttered through her words immediately after looking upon his face. He was very handsome and she found herself taking a step back to regain her footing. “I hope- I hope I didn’t hurt you.”

👫 (if you feel like it because you know why not?)
Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship
(Pfff, of course. Bring it xD)
1. Laundry:
It was possibly a small but silly thing that made Milah realize they were partners. She grew up doing the laundry for her parents and her brothers. Married, she did the laundry then, as well, because it’s what a wife did. Of course she expected Killian did his own because he had a particular way of doing things, but what stunned her to speechlessness was seeing her clothes hanging to dry with his after he’d done that first washing after she came aboard. No one had ever done that before.
2. Unfinished Business:
In the Underworld, when her ex husband hinted that Killian might be her unfinished business, she was irritated for two reasons. The first, of course, was aggravation of how little he saw her in regards to their son. The second was because she had no unfinished business with Killian. She had loved him completely and had shown that in both words and actions. Aside from not having more time, what was to regret about that?
3. Partners:
On the very rare occasion the ship’s captain couldn’t lead, whether due to extreme illness or injury, Milah would run the ship for him. She made it clear the orders she gave were what she felt he would have done. She had no desire for the captaincy herself and any whispers that leaned in that direction were quickly squashed. (On a few occasions she tried to hide the severity of the situation. There may have been times where she explained his absence as ‘I have exhausted him and now I’m restless, don’t piss me off.’)
4. Ignorance:
Tales of the infamous Captain Hook did make their way to the Underworld but she had no way of knowing who he was. And because there were literal centuries of free time there was more than once where she and Liam had debates over this dashing rapscallion. He was anti-pirate yet she would often end the debate saying ‘Look all I know is if your brother died instead of me and I couldn’t find my son, I would have done a hell of a lot worse than this Hook character.’ (Of course, had she been around to connect the two, she would have punched Killian’s arm, tell him next time to avenge someone worth it, and then apologize for making his life miserable.)

It’d taken Emma a lot of work to arrange for them to be left alone. David hadn’t pried too much into why he needed to cover her today, choosing to try and tune out the idea of his daughter married. Mary Margaret had taken some careful convincing, trying not to give the secret away as she made sure Henry would get snagged after school and let her have a few hours along with Killian.
She sat nervously at the table, looking over the small box she had wrapped for him and wondering if he’d even understand. Maybe it was just stupid and she should just blurt it out-- but that would have to wait for another time as she saw him swing open the door. “Hey!--”

    She admitted, standing on her tiptoes to reach her father’s cheek for a kiss,     and still - he had to lean a little closer to allow her access to his skin, Cleo     lacking a few good inches.

From This Moment On
@captainxkillianxjones
David and Snow White were considered to be the most loving and caring king and queen in all the land. They always gave a generous amount to various churches, taken in people who needed a place to stay and offering them a job in return, and gave more money than expected to people in need in the local villages. They viewed their people as family and while David had a heart to rule with a kind and gentle hand, it was Snow who wanted to make sure every men, women, and child were fed, sheltered, and clothed.
Their kind heart was something they instilled in their only child. Emma grew up watching her parents do good and it was something she admired them for. She was a curious young woman and while the unknown often frightened her, it didn’t stop her from doing what was right while others found her odd to care so much. The people that visited her family never understood why she cared for the troubles of others, which often lead to various arguments throughout the palace.
The young princess never rebelled against her parents in ways that would bring scandal to their name, but she did sneak away from her guards quite often to the docks where many people worked and surrounding villages. It was one of her favorite places to visit and to help those in need. The people there often worked more than one job, or they worked one job for horrible men who paid very little.
The day started off the same for the young princess. She woke up and gave her guards a different excuse for not needing their services, making sure they were not going to check on her before making her escape. The people she met at the docks were often the same crowd, welcoming her with smiles and their children embracing her. Despite the difficulties they faced in their lives, seeing their smiles always warmed her heart, encouraged her there was always hope and something positive to dwell on.
“You said you were going to bring me a doll, Emma.”
“It’s Princess Emma, my dear.” The young girl’s mother corrected, “And it’s very impolite to ask for a gift.”
Emma smiled at the older woman and shook her head. “Your daughter is not being impolite at all. I did promise her I would bring her a doll to replace her old one.” Emma turned to her horse and pulled out a beautiful doll from the satchel, getting down to the young girl’s level to gift it to her. “This is for you, sweetheart.” Emma smiled, “As promised.”
“Thank you, Princess Emma!” When the young child’s eyes lit up and smiled at Emma, the blonde couldn’t help but allow a single tear to fall down her cheek as the little girl hugged her. It was during that hug she noticed a young man working on the deck of ship. Immediately she noted how handsome he was before the little girl pulled away. “I think I’m going to call my doll... Emma.”
Emma smiled, nodding to the mother who thanked her for the gift before pivoting on her heel to walk through the crowd to see who she could help. The young princess also made occasional glances towards the deckhand, but looked away before he could make eye contact with her.

“And what’s all this, Killian?” Brennan asked, a grin upon his face as he abandoned the crates he had been loading onto a ship for his current employer. He could see the boy was carrying a bag of sorts, hidden behind his back in an attempt to conceal it.

It made Regina sick at how romantic the two idiots were, but as David wrapped his arms around Snow, Regina thought maybe it wouldn’t hurt to try and looked over at Hook. “I’m cold too,” she tried to say as nicely as possible, she was a little cold to begin with though she hated admitting it.

Broken Souls
@captainxkillianxjones promised Hooked Queen starter
Regina didn’t have much of a childhood and it was always one of her biggest regrets that she didn’t fight enough to have one. Her mother was skilled in the ways of dark magic, but there had to be someway to make her mother see her side. She never cared for magic knowing that in time it would control ones mind and found relief in her father whose views aligned closely with her own. He was the one person who understood her the most until a young stable boy was brought on by her parents to tend to the farm.
His name was Daniel and it was as if Regina had opened her eyes to endless possibilities whenever he was around. He showed her what a real life could be like, introduced her to dreams and desires Regina never believed she had. Regina found herself falling in love with the stable boy her mother spoke so little of. It was as if Cora had read Regina’s mind by giving her daughter strict instructions never to be with him.
Despite her mother’s threats and Daniel not wanting to risk anything happening to the love of his life, the two ran off together and eloped. Regina wanted once chance to be free and happy, away from her mother’s watchful eye that seemed to follow her every move. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months during their new life. She was in love, smiling, laughing... emotions every young woman should have felt at her age until her mother destroyed her happiness.
After months of tracking her down and belittling her husband in the process, Cora finally found Regina and conned the two of them into believing she was sorry. Daniel believed her and before Regina could warn her husband to get away from her mother, Regina watched as the love of her life... his heart crushed right in front of her.
The past six months since her beloveds death were a struggle as she ran far from her homeland. She learned how to hide herself in some form from her mother’s dark magic, seek refuge deep in the forest as a bandit by stealing and finishing odds and ends just to survive.
As the sky suddenly appeared to turn blog and the wind picking up, Regina stepped inside the first building she saw to find shelter from the approaching storm. It was a small tavern full of people, laughing while enjoying a pint. Their lives seemed to be so carefree. It was a life the young woman desperately longed for. A she stepped further inside the tavern, her eyes full upon a small gathering of young men in the back corner, particularly one young man laughing and carrying on with his friends showing off his features in a red vest. He was handsome and yet didn’t remained cautious. He could be working with my mother. Any of these people could be working for her.
Without bringing herself too much attention, Regina sat at a table near the young men and ordered a pint. “Make that two, please.”

    She couldn’t believe it. After over ten years, she was free. Finally free to stand     in front of her sons. Able to touch them and to hold them... And that was the     first thing she went for - to meet them and to take them away from the cruel     world, to have her son to her home, Olympus, to keep them safe and happy.
                          “ Killian. ”
    She spoke out her younger son’s name, tired with the whole day of working,      exhauston even stronger due to the large amount of rum he had drank.
                   “ Killian, my boy... “
