141 X Male Reader where they are surprised that Male Reader is older than all of them, (even Price) and still moves like he's 20 on the field and they all gush over him...
Sorry! For this taking so long i've been so busy in irl like it's killing me. BUT I hope you enjoy the fic.
141 Boys x older male reader
"Alright boys listen up I got someone y'all gotta meet."
Price says walking into the room where he called everyone to be in. "Everyone. Meet your newest member. C/n."
None of the members say anything just thinking in their own minds about the male. Y/n stands there awkwardly feeling everyone gawk staring at him until someone finally steps up.
"Names Gaz. Nice to meet you C/n." "Nice to meet you too." Gaz takes c/n hand and gives it a firm shake before the rest of the team follows suit.
Ghost sat away from everyone in the shadows staring and listening to the new guy not even making an effort to introduce himself. Usually Ghost wouldn't even care that much. But for C/n something was way different about him.
What really caught Simon's attention was the gruffness of his voice. It made him sound older than many people Simon met in a job like this.
He wasn't the only person to notice either. Soap had a feeling something different about the new member. Soap noticed the grey almost sliver locks in the mans hair.
The greys made him look 10x good well that what Soap thought about anyway.
Kyle was standing next to the man listening to the conversation him and soap was sharing. Gaz looked up and down at C/n checking him out. His eyes stop at the beautiful vintage watch he had on his wrist. The watch looked ancient in Gaz's opinion.
"What type of pawn shop did you get that watch from?" Kyle says catching C/n's attention.
Y/n pulled his hands out of his pockets looking at the watch. "Bought it when it first came out. I think the price was about seventeen dollars and a couple of cents." Y/n answers taking off the watch handing it to Kyle.
"Seventeen dollars!?! Sorry, but I think you got scammed!" Soap adds looking over the watch as well with Kyle.
"It's one hundred percent real. We can even get it tested if you don't believe me." Y/n adds.
"Nowadays a simple watch will cost you an arm and leg." Y/n says taking the watch back and sliding it back on his wrist.
"Things changed C/n from my time and yours time C/n." Captain says towards the older man with a slight laugh.
"Wait...Are y'all the same age?" Soap asks sitting down in his chair.
"Negative. C/n is way older than me. You can even check his file." John hands the group the file watching Ghost move his chair closer to the team.
"Y/n L/n... bla bla bla. Wait a second--- HES IN HIS SIXTY'S!" Soap shouts pointing at the old man. "He's been around since the dinosaurs." Kyle jokes handing back the file. "He's older than everyone here." Ghost adds in quietly.
"Think you can teach me some moves like how you fought the T-Rex" Soap jokes looking at the older man with millions of questions buzzing in his mind.
TIMESKIP
The whole team began to swoon and fall hard for the older man.
Y/n didn't know why he had everyone down at his feet.
For example they all founded little ways to get the older man's attention.
Soap will find loads of vintage stuff and old things for Y/n to explain for him. Like it was an old gun from Y/n's time he found. When he showed Y/n Soap listened for hours on end happily when Y/n was rambling about the gun.
Gaz would ask stories about Y/n's childhood and all that. And he will spend all night and day hearing Y/n's stories from ones that he was little all a way to the first time he fought in war.
Price would find himself asking Y/n about old wars and old Technics that soldiers would use during Y/n's war. Sometimes when Y/n was feeling it he'll show him a move or two. If Y/n's doesn't blow his back out trying to stand up.
Ghost didn't try like the others did. But he figured out a way that he will still be in Y/n's mind or attention. Simon will stand guard and protect Y/n from sudden danger. At first Y/n was a bit irradiated from having a guard dog, but soon to love Ghost's comfortable presence near his own.
Today is the day.
Team 141 was prepared for anything that was gonna happen or show in the field. The only thing the team couldn't really prepare for was about seeing in action.
They were worried for the old guy. Every single one of them. They all had bad thoughts about what was gonna happen like what happens if his "weak old bones break." Soap will constantly say that as a joke but the fear of it actually happening is in the back of his mind.
Y/n could feel the worried stares at his back as he drove. Y/n lets out a deep sigh before turning around.
"Jesus. Stop acting like this is my first time fighting. I know none of you ever saw me in action, but god stop treating me like i'm a weak old man."
Gaz opens his mouth to speak but gets cut off by Y/n adding. "If you guys are really worried just stand back and watch."
Y/n pulls the car over near the battlefield joining the other soldiers waiting for them.
The battle starts as usual nothing from ordinary until Soap gets caught off guard behind.
The Scottish man tries to fight back the two figures fighting hand to hand combat. Soap was on the verge of losing until Y/n saves his life by tackling the unknown man to the ground. Soap watches in awe as Y/n punches the man repeatedly.
Y/n gets off the man before getting his gun out and shoots the man dead. "Hey kid, try not to die without me." Y/n shoots soap a wink before heading out.
Soap mouth is wide open trying to form any type of words while his face is completely flustered. "I-I uhm thanks C/n!" Soap finally spits out earning a slight chuckle from C/n making him even more embarrassed.
After that close call Soap started to watch Y/n secretly. Seeing Y/n do all of these crazy stunts like Y/n wall jumping just to kick the enemy in the head just for shits and giggles.
Soon enough all 141 members were back with each other only missing one guy. C/n.
They all look around looking for the older man with Gaz suggesting that they should "Split up and cover more ground." Price had refused and went into a building they hadn't checked yet with the team following after him.
"C/n! You're here!?!" Price shouts getting ready to send the boys to look around the building. "In---fuck- In here captain!" Well they didn't like the sound of that and all ran to the sound of the Y/n's voice.
Everyone got their guns out aiming at the door. Ghost gives the team a quick look before kicking the door down as everyone swarms in the room. After the room is all clear they move to Y/n's at. "You alright C/n?" Gaz asks patting Y/n's shoulder. "Yeah...The fucker punched some teeth out i'll be alright." Y/n says reassuring the team. "Why were you all alone here?" Ghost asks looking around at all the lifeless bodies.
"What can I say. I like to have fun when i'm fighting." Y/n answers with a shrug.
"But aye. You all think I still look pretty even with a bloody mouth." Y/n says flirting with the younger men that's all circling around him. While everyone is blushing and flustered Y/n makes his leave. "Hey! The last one in the car has to do everyone's chores!" Y/n shouts at the group shutting the door behind him before taking off.
Soap and Gaz are quick to bolt off while Price and Ghost stay behind.
Y/n gives the two boys a little boost by stopping and waiting for them to pass. "Hey! The old man can't run for too long hes gonna pull something!" Soap says laughing out while Gaz laughs and says something under his breath.
"You two better run faster. Because i'm gonna end up in front of you at the pace you are going." Y/n says beginning to jog to the car. As soon as Soap and Gaz are in the middle where the car is parked Y/n begins to run past the two men. Soap and Gaz gasp and run faster, but sadly Y/n makes it before them.
"Aye? What was that about an old man?"

"You know, I don't think I've ever been in Skyguy's quarters before. Have you?"
That one little question from Ahsoka, Anakin's padawan, made my heart stop in my chest. I'd been in Anakin's quarters many, many times, the most recent being just last night when we fell asleep curled up on his couch together. But because of the Jedi, I couldn't admit that I was dating Anakin. It was our most carefully kept secret. So, I shook my head.
"I probably have at some point, I've known him so long," I said, being very careful to sound casual. "But I don't remember the last time, or for what."
"I bet he's a mess," Ahsoka chimed, skipping along next to me without a care in the world. I smiled a little, despite how tired I was.
Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and I were shipping out from Coruscant after a brief stint back here. Anakin had left early this morning, along with Captain Rex and a few other key members of the 501st, to start getting things back in order. As a result, I'd had to wake up even brighter and earlier to get back to my own quarters before Rex showed up to leave with Anakin. Now, because Anakin had forgotten his datapad, I had to go all the way back to his quarters a few hours later to get it for him.
"He's definitely a mess," I grumbled. To be fair, I'd probably qualify too. But still.
We pushed open the door to his room, and Ahsoka stepped through without a moment's hesitation. Anakin had said he'd left his datapad on the bedside table, so that's where I headed while Ahsoka looked around the living room.
I sighed heavily when I got into the bedroom and found it exactly where he'd said it'd be. Exactly where he'd left it last night, after we'd moved from the couch to the bed in a sleep-haze and watched a few short holos on it before passing out again. I tucked it into my bag, then headed back into the living room.
"Y/N! Look at this!"
I found Ahsoka standing just behind the couch in the living room, waving a t-shirt around in the air. A second later I had a heart attack as I realized it was mine, my favorite casual shirt, that I'd ditched last night in favor of stealing some of Anakin's clothes that also qualified as favorites.
I gave a noncommittal hm, trying to figure out how best to respond and not look incredibly, immediately suspicious, but Ahsoka quickly latched on to my initial response.
"Do you even know what this means?"
I tried not to let the irritation or panic show on my face. "Uh... Anakin's a mess?"
"No! There's no way this is his, he hates this band."
I swore, loudly, in my head. I was going to kill my boyfriend for forgetting his stupid datapad the next time I saw him.
"It means that Skyguy had somebody in here with him! Y/N, what if he's dating somebody?"
"Wow, Ahsoka, that's... wow."
"I wonder who it could be?" she said, talking to herself more than me. She turned away and started pacing the room, my t-shirt held tight in her hand. I tried to think of something, anything, to get out of this situation, but my mind kept drawing a blank. "I mean, who could he have brought into the temple without someone noticing? It's not like other Jedi make a habit of losing clothes in each other's rooms..."
I stood frozen in the doorway to the bedroom, using every ounce of strength and training I'd ever received to keep my expression neutral. There had to be a way out of this, some way to get Ahsoka to drop it and move on-
"Master Kenobi!"
My head snapped up, my heartbeat jumping to lightning speed at Ahsoka's words. Sure enough, Obi-Wan stood in the door with his hands on his hips, watching the two of us.
"What are the two of you doing in here?" he asked. "We're supposed to be leaving in a few minutes."
"Anakin... forgot his datapad..." I said weakly, holding up the object in question. He looked from that, to me and the obvious unease I must've been radiating through the force, to Ahsoka, still holding my shirt in the air. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
"I see that. And what do you have, young Padawan?"
"I found this shirt in here," she said, holding it out to him. "I think Master Skywalker might have been... with someone."
Obi-Wan walked over to Ahsoka and pretended to inspect the shirt, stroking his beard and giving a thoughtful 'hm'. The whole time, I focused all my energy on projecting the loudest "NO!" possible at him through the force. He must've heard it, but he was clearly ignoring it.
"Well, that's an easy answer. It belongs to Y/N."
The words were out of his mouth faster than I could stop him. I used the force to grab a pillow off of Anakin's bed and hurled it at Obi-Wan, which he annoyingly ducked. Ahsoka looked between the two of us, mouth open in shock.
"WHAT?"
"They've been dating for quite some time now."
Ahsoka whirled on me. "You and Skyguy told Obi-Wan and not me?"
"They didn't tell me," Obi-Wan continued, jumping in before my brain could unfreeze enough for an answer. I just stared between him and Ahsoka, mouth gaping like a fish. "They're just terrible at hiding it. I caught the two of them kissing behind a column in the Temple when we got back here a few weeks ago."
Ahsoka stared at Obi-Wan in shock, and he looked back, his arms crossed. I finally managed to shake myself out of it, the horror wearing off a little faster than when Obi-Wan had caught me and Anakin. I sighed, walking past both of my friends on my way to the door.
"We might not be as good at hiding it as we want to be, but the two of you are still the only two who know besides Padmé and the 501st, so... do us a favor and keep it to yourselves. And sorry we didn't tell you earlier, Soki."
I didn't miss the look Ahsoka and Obi-Wan exchanged as I passed them, instead choosing to ignore it. We were supposed to be leaving in ten minutes, after all, and now that I had Anakin's datapad there was no reason for me to wait around any longer.
"Do you want me to bring your shirt?"
I froze on the threshold at Ahsoka's question, grimacing. I didn't need to turn around to see Kenboi's smirk. I cleared my throat.
"Yes please, Ahsoka. Thank you."
"Sure thing."
Her tone was teasing, and I knew Anakin and I were going to be hearing about this almost nonstop from his young Padawan. I guess we'd deserve it, since we were apparently much worse at keeping secrets than we thought we were, but still. I wanted to get on board the ship with Anakin as soon as possible so I wouldn't have to take the brunt of the teasing alone.

Darkness on Umbara Chp.8 (Rex x Reader)
Chapter 7. Chapter 9.
Moment to Breathe
cw: Rex x Reader, Reader is a medic, incorrect military procedure, graphic descriptions of injuries, blood, swearing, death and battle, Spoilers for the Umbara Arc, Pong Krell is an asshole, reader insert, names of non-canon dead clones, Mentions of breakdowns, transwoman clone, Brief mention of inhibitor chips, reader is gender neutral, no use of (Y/N), if i miss a tag LMK
Minors DNI
In the end, you had to be sedated.
When Rex was called to continue the fight at the airbase with the reinforcements, you panicked so badly Kix had to inject you to calm you down.
Luckily, your mind wasn’t clouded and you still had your wits about you. You were still able to treat the wounded, but you didn’t miss how Jesse opted to ‘guard’ you and Kix as you managed to transfer all the wounded into the airbase’s medical facility.
It was clear he wanted to keep an eye on you since Rex couldn’t. And, truthfully, this was the first time you’d had such a breakdown in front of the men. Kix had his own, when Tup tackled him, so the trooper most likely thought both medics of the 501st were unstable.
Even if you were, you did your jobs.
The fight was chaotic as the Umbarans battled for their facility. Luckily, with both Jesse and Kix, you got every injured trooper into the safety of the medical bay before the fighting was even done.
They didn’t have bacta tanks, but they had much needed supplies you used to save everyone you could. Not nearly enough for everyone if Krell decided to pull another suicide mission, but enough to help those that needed it right now.
Fyre. Vim. Oz. Ringo. North. Gabe. Tro. Tess. Zeb. Sante. Reign. Pheon. Dawn. Nim. Jamie. Hek. Recon. Mav. Zeo. Fisher. Hinge. Trident. Iron. Mesh. Steele. Bruno. Zeke. Jumper. Aura. Dia. Silk.
By the time Krell had joined the soldiers, you and Kix hadn’t lost anyone else. You got the troopers stable, laying on cots, and sleeping as peacefully as they could. Those who didn’t require life sustaining equipment were sent to the barracks of the airbase to rest.
You and Kix stepped outside once you both were done with the wounded. Jesse had been keeping a steady guard by the door, preventing anyone uninjured from coming inside and disturbing you.
The airbase belonged to the 501st.
Umbarans who hadn’t died fighting, were led to prison cells somewhere else within the base. Several squads were already walking around, inspecting the Umbaran weaponry. A few were going through crates of supplies, such as weapons and ammo.
You remained silent as you followed Kix and Jesse through the base. The three of you met up with Rex, Fives and Hardcase. There was pride in your lover’s eyes as he spoke to the heroic pilots, “despite Hardcase’s flying, you two saved us all.”
Hardcase sounded as proud and energized as always, “It wasn’t so tough.”
“You sure?” Jesse took off his helmet with a smirk, “You looked a little green when you came out of that fighter.” He teased the hyperactive trooper. All of them were in a good mood, finding the shred of happiness after such casualties.
You wished you could feel the same pride and happiness. But your mental state, as well as the sedatives in your blood prevented it.
“Mesh’la,” Rex turned to you, “Are you ok?”
“No losses since we took the airbase.” you responded, blatantly ignoring his question about you, “The seriously injured are stable and resting in the med bay.”
“That's not-.”
“Captain,” His words were loudly cut off by Krell. The temporary General stomped towards you all, looking as displeased as ever. Appo was tailing him along with another trooper, “Report, what is our situation?”
The 501st captain stepped forward, “General, we have taken the base and cut off enemy supply lines to the capital.” His back was straight, standing at attention, as did the others.
You…remained behind Fives, staying out of the Jedi’s line of sight. If Krell turned his ire to you, you couldn’t promise you wouldn’t do something to get yourself court-martialed.
The besliska raised a large hand and rubbed his chin, “Luck has smiled on you today, Captain.” His tone sounded smug, “Consider yourself fortunate.”
“It wasn't all luck sir,” Rex kept calm and steady, not letting Krell get to him, “A lot of men died to take this base.”
Too many good men. You thought blankly. A part of you felt hollow and empty as the captain mentioned the lost souls.
The General raised his hands, and looked at the dark sky, “A price for such victory.” He looked back down and crossed two of his four arms, “Perhaps you’ll realize this.”
You didn’t miss Rex’s fist clenching in rage. Your lover’s fury was a rare sight. But dammit, Krell was doing a good job at bringing it out. Instead of lashing out however, he took a breath and lowered his head.
The Jedi turned and began to walk away, “Dismissed.”
You and Fives stepped forward. You placed your hand on Rex’s shoulder as the ARC trooper grumbled, “He’s the one who will never realize.”
You remained silent, only squeezing Rex’s shoulder before letting go. You turned and began to walk back to the medical bay, unable to be around anyone right now.
At least those in the medical facility were unconscious.
Once the doors opened, you were surprised to see a trooper. Hana, had been waiting for you, holding a bloody wrist, “Sorry to bother, Doc. One of the bastards were hiding and jumped me.”
You motioned for the trooper to sit down on an open cot, “Are sutures alright?” You wanted to save bandages and bacta. Just in case Krell tried to kill anyone else.
Hana nodded, resting the injury on one of the small medical cabinets that were placed next to every bed. You pulled a chair, set the suture kit down, and immediately got to work.
During your stitching, you took notice of distinguishable features, since this was the first time you’ve seen the trooper without a helmet. White nail polish, small studs for earrings, hair pulled back into a bun, indicating length longer than ‘military standard’.
You didn’t want to assume, but it wasn’t unheard of for there to be sisters among the troopers.
“Hana.” you spoke softly, “I like your nails. And your earrings.” It was a small push, one to ask the question without assuming.
Hana’s surprised look then relieved smile told you all you needed to know. She responded quietly, “I know it's not regulation, but…”
“Who cares about regulation?” You returned her smile, noticing that she also wore waterproof mascara, “If it's what you want, then no one should stop you.” Your suturing was almost done.
Hana nodded, looking at her nails on the hand you weren’t stitching up. Impressively, they weren’t chipped, “I might go blue, next time.” She murmured, “so I keep matching the 501st.”
“Why not paint one hand blue and the other white?” You suggested, deciding to use a patch to cover the sutures, “Something unique.”
It was nice, having a conversation that wasn’t about Umbara, injuries, the soldiers lost or Krell. It was just…about nail polish. A good distraction. Something to get your mind off your earlier breakdown.
By the time you were done, she settled on a pattern of half blue and half white. She walked out of the clinic, with a stitched up wrist and small smile. Maybe she needed the mental distraction of the doom and death as well.
Despite losing so many…at least you made Hana feel better.
You sighed, putting your face in your hands as soon as the door was closed. You basked in the small clicks and beeps of machines monitoring the men's status, taking just a few minutes to breathe. After a second, you heard a shift.
One of the unconscious troopers turned onto his side to get more comfortable. You inspected the medical equipment next to his bed to check his status. He was alive and healing.
All of them were alive.
The doors opened again, and you looked up. Rex was standing there, helmet off and looking at you with both love and worry in his beautiful eyes, “May I…come in?” He asked quietly, as if not to wake the men.
“You don't have to ask, you know.” you responded, giving him a small, tired smile. It was endearing, how he’d become shy when you two were in private.
He walked over to you and brushed his hand over your cheek, “How’s your arm?” the captain asked, looking at the bandages you still wore. The bacta soaked gauze were doing their job, as the wound pulsed and throbbed in pain, indicating healing. Whether all your muscles would return remains to be seen, but at least the nerves and veins were being repaired.
“It’s getting better.” you answered, reaching up to hold his face in your hand. Your eyes narrowed, “You need rest.”
“We all do.” Rex mumbled, closing his eyes and leaning his face into your palm. He breathed deeply before opening his eyes to look at you, “Mesh’la,” His term of endearment for you slipped from his lips, “You’ve saved so many of my brothers.”
That's why he was here. Because of your earlier breakdown.
“I’m alright now, Rex.” you gently reassured him, “I…was panicked. After the battle with the tanks, and getting Silk killed, I was terrified I’d lose you.”
Rex leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on your forehead. One of his hands rested at your hip, holding you close, “Silk’s death wasn’t your fault, none of the losses are your fault,” his tone was so soft, so gentle, “You have saved so many of us, not just on Umbara, but on every planet we’ve been to. Every battle, every fight…you’ve done so much. For all of us.”
“I want to do more,” you responded, “I don’t want you to lose any more of your brothers…I know it's war, but…”
He sighed, “We are clones. We were made to fight for the Republic. Die for the Republic, if the situation calls for it.” His eyes held a certain sadness to it, “We are meant to be expendable.”
“Not to me.” your voice was resolute. He wasn’t expendable. No clone was expendable.
Rex looked at you like you were the moon and stars themselves. He pulled you closer, kissing you passionately on the lips. Your chest met his armor, and he leaned into you, “Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum…” he murmured when you broke away, “Gar cuyir ner kar'ta bal runi…” His forehead was against yours, holding you so tenderly.
“Bal ni kar'tayl gar darasuum,” you whispered back, taking in his warmth and love, “Gar cuyir ner oyay bal narser…”
He kissed you again, only pulling away when one of the unconscious soldiers moved in his sleep.
“I have to find Krell,” he mumbled, looking at you mournfully, “He may have orders…”
“Go, be the 501st captain, cyare.” you gave him a peck on the cheek, “Good luck dealing with him.”
He sighed and stepped back, leaving the medical bay.
You watched him go before checking on all of them men. They were stable still, and luckily, a few were in a good enough state to wake up. A majority of them responded well to your neuro-check. Despite the good response from them, you wanted to keep the soldiers who sustained hits to the head in the med bay.
However, there was an ARF trooper, Rush, who was still slurring his words. It was a terrible blow to the head he had sustained taking the airbase. Putting him back under the effects of sedatives and painkillers, you wanted to move on to everyone else. But…
Well, the Umbarans were technologically advanced. The life support and monitoring systems were intergalactic basics. All from the same base that you were trained with. However, they had systems and machines you had never seen before. You tried to use some of the more heavy duty equipment, but had no luck.
One of them was a scanner, that you could tell. It resembled a datapad, but clearly had the technology and structure of the Umbarans. The screen had values and data that exceeded most medical equipment in the Republic. Your fingers toyed with it, trying to get the thing to work in your favor. Such a small but powerful scanner would be useful.
Your shoulders slumped just as the med bay doors opened again, “Holy fuck you’re still awake!?” Kix’s eyes were wide, staring at you. His helmet was off and he seemed…somewhat refreshed. He probably got something to eat and took a power nap after Krell dismissed everyone.
“Yea, there's still a lot to do.” you looked at him, holding the scanner, “Plus, I’m trying to crack some of this equipment.”
“The hardware and programming isn’t anything we’ve seen before.” The medic looked over your shoulder to see the tablet in your hands, “Oh? What's this?”
“I think it's a hand-held full body scanner. More powerful than anything in the Republic.” you answered, “I want it. But I can’t get the damn program to behave.”
He stepped back, one hand on his hip, “Jesse and Fives are in the east hangar playing with some of their weapons,” Kix gave you a soft smile, “I’ll keep an eye on the guys here, take a break.”
You couldn’t help but return his smile. It was clear the both of you had hit your limits with the losses. But now, after some rest, your spirits were higher.
After you gave an overview of each of the injured troopers, you left the medical bay and went to the hagar. The airbase was more organized now. Supplies were being moved, weapons were being inspected, and patrols were established. The 501st was very efficient.
The hagar wasn't so organized but definitely had more energy. Several soldiers were on floating platforms, inspecting suspended starships. Others were working on the ships themselves, looking at the mechanics and wiring. It didn’t take you long to find Fives and Jesse.
The ARC trooper was with Tup, having pried off a metal sheet from the ship he piloted before. The two of them were discussing something, most likely the controls or mechanics, as they inspected the inner workings of the Umbaran weapon.
Dogma was seated nearby, cleaning his rifle while Jesse was standing at a consol, brow furrowed. He was hard at work attempting to crack the enemy hardware.
You approached, stepping in front of the console, “Hey Jesse,” Your voice was quiet, not wanting to distract the others, or wake up Hardcase who was asleep on the floor, leaning against the ship Tup and Fives worked on, “Are you busy?”
The senior trooper perked up, “Depends,” He leaned forward with a glint in his eye, “I can always make time for you.” you snorted when he winked.
Dogma scoffed, “That is inappropriate.”
You rolled your eyes, but handed Jesse the tablet, “Kix told me you were working on the Umbaran hardware, I was hoping you could help me crack this thing.”
He raised a brow and took it, “What is it?”
“Some kind of scanner, I think.” you answered, sitting down next to Dogma, “But more powerful than anything in the Republic.”
“Might be easier than this fucking thing.” He smacked the console, “Give me a few minutes and I'll-.”
There was a yelp behind you and Fives tumbled off the starship, hitting the ground. The noise woke Hardcase with a jerk, who sat up and looked around confused.
“I told you not to do that,” Tup looked at the ARC trooper's pathetic form on the floor, “I warned you that if you touched the wire, it would shock you.”
“I know, I know.” Fives huffed and got to his feet and dusted himself off, “Fucking Umbarans and their…”
“I cracked the hardware,” Jesse raised the tablet, “It says Fives doesn't have a brain.”
“Son of a-”
You laughed softly alongside Tup who had paused his toying with the machine. Once you stepped up to the console, hand open, Jesse looked at you, “Oh, sorry. I actually didn't. I just saw an opportunity.” He chuckled.
Fives huffed and swiped the Umbara gadget from him, “Give me that. I’ll figure this out.”
“What's going on?” Hardcase slurred from the floor.
“Nothing, go to the barracks and get some sleep.” Dogma mumbled, keeping his eyes down to continue cleaning his weapon.
Hardcase looked around before he silently nodded and stood up, “Sleep well, buddy.” You bid him farewell as he stumbled out of the hangar. A part of you felt jealous at his ability to sleep right now.
You…didn’t think you could. Not until all of this was done.
Tup spoke your name softly, earning your attention, “Are…you and Kix ok?”
Oh, he’s so sweet. Tup reminded you of a shiny fresh off Kamino, overly respectful, overly polite and overly shy. You hoped that with more experience, he’d break out of the shell, learn that you could be a friend, not just his doctor.
You gave him a tired yet genuine smile, “We are, just needed some rest and time to breathe.”
The trooper nodded before looking over at Dogma, “Hey, Dogma, isn’t there something you need to tell our good doctor?”
The other trooper flinched before he nodded, “Listen, Doc…I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said those things on the field.” His dark brown eyes were filled with clear sorrow and regret. His apology surprised you, but you appreciated it nonetheless.
“How’s your jaw?” You asked, crossing your arms.
“Hardcase has a strong right hook.” He mumbled, looking away ashamed, “But it's fine…”
With a sigh you approached and put a hand on his shoulder, “It's not the worst that's been said to me.” you wanted to laugh at his surprised look but remained calm, “Apology accepted.”
He slumped his shoulders and let out a relieved sigh.
“Got it!” Fives practically cheered, causing a trooper on a platform to visibly jump. The ARC trooper gave the scanner to you quickly before he dashed to Jesse’s side to help him with the console.
You looked over the gadget and began to toy with it silently. After a few minutes, the tablet responded to your touch easily. Wordlessly you stood and raised it to Dogma.
After a press on the screen, a fan of light went over the confused trooper. He paused, looking at you, “Doc…?”
The screen blinked, and on it, was an outline of his body. Next to it were values.
Blood pressure. Heart rate. Blood count. Adrenal levels. Liver enzymes. Nerve response time. Bone density. Hours of sleep.
All important values in terms of health and wellbeing. On the outline there were indicators and when you pressed the screen, there was more information. You pressed the area of his jaw, exactly were Hardcase had clocked him.
“Are you sore where Hardcase hit you?” you asked him and he nodded. After his answer, you perked up happily, knowing the scanner worked. However, there was another indicator in his head.
When you pressed it, the information was…off.
To test it, you scanned Fives, only to get the same result. Then Jesse, then Tup. All of them had the same result.
ANOMALY: right orbital floor, parietal and temporal intersection
Huh…weird….

Reunited At Last
(Rebels! Rex x Reader)
Okay! So this is my first time posting a fanfic here and I’m so nervous that something is going to go wrong so please be patient with me!
This is a Rebels! Rex x Reader story with a flashback to the Clone Wars Era. Bear with me for some non lore accurate stuff because it’s fanfic, it doesn’t have to be completely accurate.
The reader and Ahsoka are go friends in this and the reader also knows The Bad Batch as well. She went through Order 66 and stuff so please be kind to me with how I’ve written it.
This fanfic also heavily relies on dialogue directly from Star Wars Rebels Season 2, Episode 3, The Lost Commanders. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED FOR LUCAS FILMS.
Warnings: 18+, Minor DNI, Angst, anxiety attack, allusions to PTSD, hurt/comfort, talk of force visions, SMUTTTTT, unprotected p in v sex, creampie, oral F-receiving, teasing, pet names, order 66 scene, canon-typical violence, pregnancy, force bond and connections work how I need them too, swearing, happy ending.

I opened my eyes to the feeling of a weight on my chest, the blankets on my cot being rustled before they settled back down. I felt an arm wrapped around my stomach and squeezing gently. I smiled softly and pulled my little, not so little anymore, boy into my arms, scratching his head as he breathed a sighed.
“Did I wake you mom?” He asked and I smiled and shook my head.
“It’s okay ner ad. What’s on your mind?” I asked and my son Cody, peeked up from where he lay in my arms.
“I-I-“ he stuttered, words failing to come out. I pulled him into my arms a little tighter, just holding him and stroking his hair. He calmed down as the minutes ticked by, not saying a word yet but I didn’t mind, I was here for him.
“I had a vision ma..” he said quietly and I tensed briefly before relaxing again, holding my son a little tighter. I took a deep breath before sitting up with Cody in my arms. I manoeuvred him so that he was sat beside me, my arms still around him.
“What was it about honey?” I asked quietly, still in shock that my 14 year old was having visions.
“ I -I think it was about…dad..” he said hesitantly. I flinched a little harder at that and pulled Cody into me even more, trying to hold back the tears that were beginning to form.
“W-what about your father?” I asked quietly and sniffed, trying not to think about the man I love. Or loved I guess.
“I think he’s alive buir,” Cody whispered and I finally let go of him, standing up abruptly only to collapse to the floor.
“Mom!” Cody yelped and came to my side, trying to help me. I was shaking now, having flashbacks to the last time I saw my beloved husband. My breathing became faster and my hands began to clam up.
“Kanan!” Cody yelled as he came in front of me, holding my face in his hands.
“Mom! Mom look at me,” He said and my eyes shifted rapidly to his before darting around the room more, trying to ground myself. Just then the door to our quarters swung open and Kanan appeared, the rest of the Ghost crew in the door way.
“(Y/N)!” Kanan said and came to Cody’s side in front of me, holding my shoulders gently yet firmly. He turned back to look at Hera who knew exactly what that meant. She ushered Zeb and Sabine to the kitchenette to get some water and rations as Ezra came into the room and sat next to Kanan.
“(Y/N), can you hear me?” He said and I felt myself nod, my eyes still darting around. Cody sat there frozen, knowing that mentioning his dad was a difficult subject but not wanting to lie to me.
“What happened Cody?” Ezra asked quietly as Kanan continued trying to pull me out of my panic attack. He held my hands now, trying to let me know that I was safe.
Cody moved over to be closer to Ezra, trying not to trigger me with his words. He leaned over and whispered to Ezra what happened, Ezra looking at him with wide eyes once he finished the explanation.
“(Y/N), you’re okay. Do you know where you are?” Kanan asked and I nodded.
“T-the Gho-ost-“ I stuttered out, my hand blindly reaching for Cody’s hand. He grabbed mine immediately, holding it in his.
“Okay, that’s a start. Do you remember who I am?” He asked next, hands back on my shoulders. I nodded again.
“K-Kanan Jarrus, knight of the Jedi - Jedi order.,” I said, blinking rapidly trying to focus my eyes on Kanan.
“And who are you?” He asked quietly and I closed my eyes, focusing on my surroundings. I held Cody’s hand in mine, my other hand finding purchase on Kanans shoulder and my head finding a place on Ezra’s shoulder. I slowly exhaled before my eyes opened again, lifting my head and looking at Kanan then Ezra and finally looking to my son.
“(Y/N) (L/N), Jedi Master and mother to a beautiful son,” I said and a small smile graced my lips. Cody smiled and launched himself at me as the door to our quarters opened up again, Hera, Sabine and Zeb standing there with some water and rations.
“You okay (Y/N)?” Hera asked and I nodded, my arms wrapped tightly around my Cody, his around me.
“What happened?” Sabine asked and Ezra stood up and took the rations and water from her and Zeb, handing them to Kanan who placed them on the floor next to me. Ezra led Zeb and Sabine to the common room to explain the situation, Hera staying back to make sure I was okay.
“I’m okay Hera. Thanks to you guys,” I said and Cody began to let go.
“I’m sorry mom,” He whispered and hung his head, sniffling.
“Oh ner ad. Udesiir. Haalur ti ni ad’ika,” I said. Cody took a deep breath, following my breathing until his tears stopped forming. Kanan sat there with us, just his presence in the force enough to calm me down. Kanan had become like a brother to me in these last few years, helping me to raise Cody to be a kindhearted boy. Hera was like a sister to me, always making sure that the Ghost was a safe space for me to be. Zeb, Ezra, and Sabine I saw as my kids too. I always wanted to be strong for them.
“You okay now (Y/N)?” Kanan asked, placing a hand on my shoulder. I looked to him and nodded, slowly letting go of Cody and standing up with Kanan’s help.
“I’m okay now. Thank you for your help,” I said and Kanan smiled, pulling me in to a hug.
“Anytime. You would do the same for me,” He replied and Hera walked into the room and pulled me in for a hug too.
“Get some rest (Y/N), we’ll be meeting up with the fleet soon. And I think Ahsoka will be there, Hera said and Cody lit up at the mention of his Aunt.
“We’re meeting up with Auntie Ahsoka?” He asked, beaming from ear to ear. Kanan and Hera smiled and brought Cody in for a hug, enjoying the child like innocence that Cody displayed.
“We will be soon enough,” Hera replied and Cody jumped coming over to me and giving me a hug. I smiled at my son, happy to see him excited. I then looked to Kanan and Hera who shared a happy look, Kanan wrapping his arm around her.
“Come on kiddo, let’s let your mom get some sleep okay?” Kanan said and Cody nodded but didn’t let go right away. I smiled down at my boy and kissed his forehead, scratching his head a little.
“I’ll be okay Cody, you go hang out with the crew. I’m just going to lay down for a little longer,” I said and Cody nodded, pulling away from our hug slowly. I smiled at him as he left the room with Kanan, Hera staying behind for another minute. She turned to me, giving me a look I know all to well.
“I know Hera. But I can’t help it. He was my first love and it’s still painful,” I said and Hera nodded, pulling me into a hug.
“I know it is but you’ll have to tell him eventually,” She said and I sighed, nodding because I knew she was right. I just didn’t want to think back to that day. Hera pulled away from the hug and placed her hand on my shoulder.
“Get some rest. Someone will come get you when we rendezvous with the fleet,” Hera said and I nodded, watching as she walked out and the door slid closed behind her.
I sighed and moved back towards my cot, sitting on the edge and wrapping a blanket around myself. I sat there, deep in thought. Thinking about my beloved while trying not to think about the last time we saw one another. My eyes began to water as I recalled the day we were forced to part.
~Flashback~
“Cyar’ika~” Rex said in a quiet, sing song voice as my eyes squinted, the sun light coming through the curtains of my room and illuminating the room. I smiled and kept my eyes closed, not wanting this moment to end. Rex wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back towards him, kissing my neck and shoulders. I giggled a little and stretched, taking a deep breath before turning to face my love.
Rex smiled at me as I turned around, loosening his hold to let me flip over and face him. Once I was facing him, he took the opportunity to kiss my lips. I smiled into the kiss and held his face, not wanting the moment to end.
“Good morning Rex~” I said quietly, smiling as we pulled away from the kiss. Rex kissed my forehead before pulling back to look at me.
“Good morning Cyar’ika,” He said and held me a little tighter. We stayed like that for a little longer, talking quietly with one another and laughing about whatever we found on the holonet. Our joyful atmosphere was shattered by the beeping of Rex’s comlink. Rex groaned and tried to bury his face into my neck, not wanting to leave this moment.
After a minute of the com going off it stopped and we both breathed a sigh. Before it started going off again cause us both to groan. Rex finally picked it, his arm still wrapped around me as he answered the person in the other end.
“Captain Rex here,” He said and there was a chuckle on the other end. Rex rolled his eyes with a smile before repeating himself, just for appearance sake.
“Rex, my man. We’ve got a new mission,” Anakin voice came over the com, playful yet serious as always. Rex groaned and buried his face in my neck, hearing Anakin laugh from the comlink.
“Do we have to?” Rex said like a child cause me to burst out laughing. Anakin was historically laughing as well, not being able to keep his composure.
“Yes we do Captain. You’ve got one more hour until we leave,” Anakin said and Rex nodded to himself.
“Of course General,” He replied, wanting to savour the next hour.
“Hey (Y/N)!” Anakin added with a chuckle.
“Hi Anakin,” I replied, still trying to catch my breath.
“I hope you’re taking good care of my captain,” He said and Rex groaned while I laughed again.
“He’s in good hands Skywalker, no need to worry,” Anakin laughed again and shook his head.
“Alright, I believe. We’ll see you when we get back from our mission,” Anakin said. I nodded and gave Rex a kiss on the cheek as he sat there in embarrassment.
“Alrighty Skywalker. Be safe and tell Obi-wan I say hello,” I replied and Anakin responded with a “will do!” Before the line cut out. Once I was sure the com was off I burst into giggles again, holding my stomach as Rex pouted with a small smile.
Anakin knew of our relationship and besides Padme, and my commander, no one knew. Though I’m pretty sure my captain and ARC Trooper do. If so, they haven’t said anything to my other men which I’m thankful for. We wanted to keep it that way but because Anakin and I were such close friends it was obvious that we would tell him when our relationship started. He always teased Rex but he knew how to keep quiet around his other men, not wanting any of them to accidentally say anything to anyone else.
“You’re so cute Rex.” I said and his cheeks turned pink, still not used to being complimented even after being together for two years. He sat up and stretched, scratching the back of his head. I sat up as well and crawled over to him, draping my arms over his shoulders. He smiled and held my arms as I kissed his neck. He groaned quietly and tilted his head to the side, giving me a little more room. I smirked against his neck as I bit down softly, drawing a moan from him.
“Cyar’ika~” he growled and I smirked before pulling away, dodging his attempt to grab me. I laughed and stood up as he reached for me again, smirking a little.
“Don’t start something you can’t finish Cyare~” he growling, managing to grab my arm and pull me back to the bed, maneuvering us so he was on top with me pinned beneath him.
I sighed as he leaned down and kissed me, his tongue finding its way into my mouth. I groaned as he kissed down to my neck, returning the bite I gave to him. My back arched as he left a few more marks on my chest.
“R-Rex~” I stuttered out as he let go of my arms, moving down and holding my hips as he stared at me. I looked down at him and watched as he smirked, pulling my panties to the side and licking a strip up my pussy. My head fell back against the pillows and my hand found its way to his buzzed head.
“Fuck~” I whimpered as he did it again, and again and again. I was putty in his hands. I tugged on his arm, hoping to get him back up to me. He understood what I wanted and sat up, removing my panties as I removed my shirt. He quickly stripped himself of his blacks, wanting the same thing I did.
I helped him with his shirt and once it was over his head and on the floor, I pulled him down for heated kiss. He reciprocated immediately, fumbling slightly before he positioned his cock at my cunt. He pushed in quickly, breaking the kiss as we both moaned at the amazing feeling.
He began thrusting fast, gripping my hips as he went, pounding me into the bed. I moaned his name over and over, relishing in the feeling of him inside me.
“Fuckkk you feel so good around me cyar’ika~” he groaned and lifted my legs over his shoulders, his cock reaching even deeper. I threw my head back and screamed, thankful I had a soundproof apartment away from the temple. My hands gripped the sheets, feeling myself squirt and cum before the blissful feeling set in. Rex groaned and kept thrusting, even with his bottom half soaked in my juices.
“Re-Rex!” I cried out as he managed to get me to cum again. Or was it just a continuation of my first orgasm? I couldn’t tell as I felt Rex empty himself inside me, his cock pulsing for a minute more before it finally began to get soft.
We panted, our heart beating fast but together, our breathing syncing up the exact same way. He gently let my legs go, easing them down to the bed and leaning over me to give me a keldabe kiss. I smiled and wrapped my arms around him as he withdrew his cock from inside me.
“That felt amazing cyare~” he whispered and I nodded, leaning in and giving him a proper kiss, he returned it just as sweetly, smiling into it as I gave him a squeeze. We both pulled away, content in the moment before we were interrupted once again, this time by my commlink going off.
Rex groaned as I giggled, reaching over and answering the com.
“(L/N) here?” I answered and there was snickering from the other side before a stern voice shushed it.
“General. We have a briefing in an hour before we ship out,” My Clone commander Chomp said and there was more snickering. I laughed and shook my head, bringing my hand up to scratch Rex’s head. He went limp in my arms, practically purring into my neck while still trying to keep quiet.
“Alright Chomp. I’ll be there soon. And Manik and Spike know I can hear them laughing right?” I asked him, listening as my captain and Arc trooper burst out into even louder laughter. I could feel Chomp rolling his eyes as he scolded his younger brothers.
“That’s enough you too. Or I increase your daily work out,” He barked and the other two calmed down, managing to stand at attention while still smiling.
“Fine by me sir. Maybe that means we can find a beautiful dala like our Ori’vod has,” Spike said. I could sense their smiles as they thought about it, causing me to laugh.
“Alright you di’kuts. Enough. What our general does in her personal time is none of our business. Now if you two want to enjoy your shore leave after our mission I suggest you zip it,” Chomp said sternly and Manik and Spike finally shut up. I was laughing hysterically and I could feel Rex trying to hold his laughter as well.
“I’ll see you guys soon,” I said quickly and cut the comms. Rex and I sat there for a moment before we busted out laughing, both of us not being able to hold it in. Finally after another ten minutes of laying down, we both got up and got dressed, making sure that the marks we gave one another were not visible.
I helped Rex adjust his armour, making sure nothing was pinching his skin. He in turn helped me straighten out my robes, laying them in place expertly as if they had not been haphazardly thrown on the floor the night before. We smiled at each other and gave one final kiss before Rex had to leave.
“Hopefully this war will be over soon and we can escape to another planet,” I said and Rex nodded in agreement.
“Soon cyar’ika. Hopefully soon. And then we can start a family,” He evened and I blushed, knowing exactly what Rex was thinking. He smirked and pulled me in for another heated kiss before I had to push him away, not wanting to get caught up in the moment and carried away.
“Oh don’t worry ner alor’ad. You will have all the time in the world to see me pregnant. I promise you that,” I said and Rex buried his face in my neck and groaned.
“Speak like that and you’ll give me a hard on again,” He said and I could feel the smallest amount of pressure from his codpiece. I laughed and hugged him, not wanting the moment to end.
We pulled away from one another before Rex reached into one of the pouches on his belt and pulled out a necklace. My eyes went wide as I stared at it, the piece of jewelry simple yet gorgeous. Rex smiled sheepishly at me and he held it up, looking between the necklace and me. It was a silver chain with a small pendant, a sapphire gem in the middle with smaller diamond as around it.
“Rex…” I breathed out and he smiled.
“I wanted to get you something nice. I had a little help because we clones don’t make money but I want you to have something to remind you of me,” He said and I slowly reached for the necklace, Rex letting it rest in my hands. It had more weight on it than it looked and I wondered what it was made of. I ran my thumb over the gem before turning the pendant over, a gasp leaving lips as I stared at the jaig eyes engraved on the back.
“Oh Rex…” I whispered and he smiled an innocent smile at me.
“I-it’s made of beskar so you can wear it in the field and not worry about it falling off,” Rex said and I was still at a loss for words. He slowly took the necklace from my hands and walked around me, situating himself behind me.
I stood still ask Rex placed the necklace around my neck fastening the clip and adjusting it so that it was comfortable. I reached my hand up to feel the necklace, the slight weight on my neck comforting. I smiled as I turned to face him, wrapping my arms around his neck and hiding my face in his neck. His arms wrapped around me, giving me a gentle squeeze as we stayed there for what felt like an eternity. Finally we pulled away from one another and giggled together.
“Thank you Rex. It’s absolutely beautiful,” I breathed and Rex smiled.
“You’re worth it to me my love. It wasn’t easy but I called in a few favours.” He said and I smiled as I went in for another hug. “Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum Cyar’ika,” Rex said and I smiled as he gave me a Keldabe kiss.
“Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum ner Alor’ad. Be safe please,” I replied and Rex smiled, letting go and making his way to the door and out first, trying not to raise suspicion. He turned back to give me one more smile and a tiny salute before he disappeared out the door. I sighed as I was left to my own devices for a short time before I made my way out, taking my fighter and flying to the temple.
~Time Skip~
“General! We’ve just received word from general Kenobi! He has engaged General Gervious on Utapau,” Commander Chomp informed me as we wrapped up our own battle on the surface of Vassek.
“Very good commander. Let’s clean up here and get back to Coruscant. I want a celebratory drink for the end of the war!” I said and Chomp laughed, Manik and Spike joining in as they came up to us.
Just then my com went off and I excused myself to take the call.
“(L/N) here?” I said and I heard a small sigh of relief from the other end, a smiling gracing my face as I felt Rex’s relief.
“Just checking in on you. I heard about your battle and wanted to make sure you were okay,” he said and I smiled at his concern.
“No need to worry about me Rex. Takes a lot more than a few droids to take me down. How about you? How is everything in your campaign?” I asked and heard Rex take in a deep breathe before exhaling.
“U-um well, everything on Anaxes has been dealt with...” Rex said, a little hesitation in his voice. That concerned me because Rex was never this hesitant to talk about his missions before.
“What’s wrong Rex?” I ask softly and I heard another sigh.
“We found something on Anaxes that led us to Skako Minor and we…” before I could finish, I gasped.
“Skako minor?? Like home of the Techno Union Skako Minor??” I questioned, my heart pounding, wondering what could be so important that they had to go to the heart of the Techno Union.
“Yeah that one,” Rex said let out a small huffed laugh. I rolled my eyes and moved a little further away from my men.
“Rex it’s not funny. You could have been captured or at worse killed! Who okayed this mission? The council surely wouldn’t so I’m assuming Anakin didn’t have offi-” my rambling was cut off my Rex telling me something that I knew I couldn’t be mad at him for.
“Cyar’ika, Echo’s alive,” He breathed and my eyes widened, shock riddling my body. I had no words. I knew how much Echo’s death had affected my Captain and Fives when he was still here but to hear that he was alive was a shock and a relief.
“H-he is?” I whispered and I could feel Rex’s smile.
“He’s alive. Altered both physically and mentally but he is back with us,” Rex said then went on to explain what happened in full detail. He ended off by telling me that Echo had chosen to go with Clone Force 99 or The Bad Batch.
“That’s good. He is in good hands with Hunter and the others. Though I’m sure it will take Crosshair a while to warm up to him,” I chuckled and Rex laughed.
“Yeah, he’s a tough one to crack. But I’m sure Echo will be okay,” Rex said and I nodded, trying my best to reach Rex through the force and surround him with comfort.
“Thank you Cyar’ika,” He whispered and I smiled, knowing that I had reached him.
“Where are you now?” I asked and I heard a short intake of breath.
“I-I’m on Mandalore with half the 501st and the 332nd,” he said and once again I was dumbfounded before Rex went on to explain why. He explained how Ahsoka was back as well and how she was helping Bo Katan Kryze reclaim her home from Darth Maul. All of this information was overwhelming but I was just happy Ahsoka was alive and well.
“Tell her I say hello and to protect my captain,” I said and smiled, Rex letting out a short chuckle in return.
“I will. She is very happy for us and has promised not to let it slip,” Rex said and I gasped.
“You told her already?” I said and I could feel Rex’s embarrassment.
“Well, not really. She was my second in command for 2 years and she can read me like a book so it was pretty obvious to her,” Rex defended himself and I thought for a moment before nodding.
“I don’t know why I’m surprised, she was always a very perceptive Jedi,” I said and I couldn’t feel Rex nodding.
“Anyway, I have to go. We’re transporting Maul to Coruscant now,” Rex said quickly, I guess making sure no one knew who he was speaking to.
“Will do alor’ad. We just finished up here so we will also be making our way back to Coruscant. The next time I see you the war will be over,” I said with a big smile, happy that I could finally leave the order with Rex so that we could start a life together.
“Definitely cyare. Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum and I will see you back on Coruscant,” Rex said and I smiled even more.
“Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum Alor’ad,” I said and the transmission cut. I smiled and pocketed my com before making my way back over to my men, who were all loaded up in the gun ship and ready to head out.
~Time Skip~
We had been in hyper space for about an hour now when I felt an immense pain in my chest, like my heart had been grabbed and squeezed. I collapsed on the bridge, Chomp moving over to my side.
“General! Are you alright?” He asked and my head began to throb. I couldn’t answer him. I didn’t hear what else was said. The words being said sounded like they were being run through a blender. I felt our cruiser leave hyperspace but everything was still a blur.
“General can you hear me?” Chomps voice finally became a little clearer, though I could feel something terrible coming.
“Ready my ship and release my hyperspace ring. Disable tracking and divert power to the engines,” I practically whispered but my commander didn’t question it and order for a few troops to do as I asked.
“What’s happening (Y/N)?” Chomp whispered as he helped me up, Manik and Spike coming to my side as well.
“Something terrible is coming. And I need to be far away from here when it does,” I said and took a deep breath, trying to regain my strength.
“What’s coming general?” Spike said, a small note of fear in his voice. I looked at my three most trusted men, thinking about everything we had been through together.
“Come with me, the three of you. We haven’t much time,” I said and quickly began walking off the bridge and to the medbay. Chomp, Manik and Spike quickly followed, concerned for me but also curious as to what was happening.
When we made it to the medbay I ordered all personnel out, not giving anyone a chance to argue before they were ushered out by my men and the door sealed.
“(Y/N) please. What is going on?” Manik said and before I could answer, another wave of pain shot through me causing me to faulter, my head was pounded and I could hear screaming that was not my owe. I could hear master Windu, master Fisto and other masters being slaughtered. I shook my head and turned on the MRI scanner, making quick work.
“Take off your helmets and jam all transmissions to your commlinks and the cruiser. Someone is trying to turn you against me,” I said quickly as the machine powered on.
“General what is happening? Please talk to us!” Spike said and I turned to look at my men as they did what I instructed.
“I don’t know exactly what is happening Spike but I know something is wrong. I can feel it in the force and I need you three to trust me please,” I pleaded with them, going up and holding Spikes face in my hands. All three exchanged looks before nodding, Chomp stepping up first and laying on the scanner.
I started the machine and after a few minutes I found something that I had feared. A chip that shouldn’t be there. I remember Rex telling me about something like this around the time that five was killed but I didn’t take him seriously. Now I regret it.
“What is it (Y/N)?” Spike said as he an Manik came up to my side. The machine produced the chip, encased in glass to avoid contamination.
“A ‘behavioural chip’. I put that in quotes because it is something far worse than that. What it is I do not know but I need to remove yours as well. Quickly,” I said as the scanner released Chomp. He didn’t wake right away but I hauled him up and sat him against the adjacent wall, ushering Manik to the scanner.
There was no protest from as he went under. The same thing happened and once again I laid him up against the wall next to Chomp. Spike was the last to go, still a little hesitant even after seeming his brothers go through it.
“Are you sure about this general?” Spike asked and I nodded before feeling another wave of pain. The voices were much louder and I could hear Anakin screaming, I could feel Master Windu in pain and I could feel a sinister presence rising. My ears were ringing and my head pounding as I collapsed, screaming in pain myself, Spike got off the table to be by my side but I shook my head, trying to convey to him that he had to go through the procedure quickly.
Before I could really process what was happening, Spikes helmet was activated and a hologram of a dark figure appeared. I could feel dread take over my body as I watched the cloaked figure speak.
“Arc Trooper Spike. It is time-”
Execute Order 66
The words rang out through the Medbay, Spike going rigid before his shoulders squared. My eyes were wide, my ears not being able to process what was being said.
“It will be done my lord,” Spike replied before moving away from me and scooped up his bucket, placing it on his head before raising his blaster at me.
“Jedi. You are in direct violation of Order 66. You are to be terminated immediately for treason against the galactic republic,” Spike said and my heart dropped, looking over to my Commander and Captain who were still unconscious.
“I don’t want to hurt you Spike,” I whispered as I knelt there, still in disbelief. A shot went off but my lightsaber was in my hand before I could register what was happening, the bolt being deflected and hitting the wall near by.
“SPIKE!” I screamed as a firefight ensued, Spike firing at me and me deflecting what I could. “Spike please! It’s (Y/N)! Your friend!” I continued, trying but failing to get through to my trooper.
“I am not friends with Jedi traitors!” He screamed back and drew his pistols, firing at me twice as fast. I tried to dodge all his shots but one got me in the shoulder causing me to drop my saber.
I screamed in pain as I went down, clutching my injured shoulder with my good hand. Spike walked up to me and aimed his pistol right between my eyes, the look on his face one of no emotion or remorse. I closed my eyes and bowed my head, reaching out to Rex through the force with one final I love you before breaking our bond.
When Rex and I had begun dating, I had created a force bond with him. Even if he was not a force sensitive being, it was possible. And I melded our signatures together, giving him a piece on myself and he did the same to me. Breaking the bond was like shattering my heart, ripping it in half and throwing it aside.
I screamed as I did it, my sorrow creating a ripple effect that sent Spike flying across the room. He landed with a thud before dropping his pistols, laying unconscious on the ground. I could feel how the ripple had affected the ship as a whole, everyone on board being faced with an ear-piercing scream.
I knelt there sobbing as I finally felt the weight of what I did, holding onto my chest as the pain became too much. I could feel an emptiness in my chest, like a hole from a blaster. I didn’t even register that someone was trying to talk to me. The next thing I remember in being carried in someone’s arms, feeling cold before feeling warm again. I blacked out after that.
~Time Skip~
I woke to a gentle humming, feeling the weight of something on top of me and my eyes began to open. I felt a soft blanket on top of me and a pillow under my head, my body lying on a firm surface. I looked to my right, being met with a wall before looking to my left and seeing the inside of a ship. Across the small hull of the shuttle, I could see Spike laying there, a bandage on the right side of his head with his hair cut to accommodate it. I sighed a small sigh of relief, knowing that my Arc trooper was okay. I slowly sat up, clutching my chest as I did. The pain was still there, feeling even deeper than before. I cried out, finally processing what I had done. I had done it to protect Rex. I did not want him to feel my death. I did not want him to feel the pain of that loss.
Little did I know, he felt it ten-fold.
My cries reached the cockpit and Manik came running to me, checking me over to make sure I wasn’t physically hurt.
“General! Are you alright?” He asked quietly. I shook my head and broke down even more, not wanting to believe that I had really severed my connection with Rex.
“It hurts Manik. It hurts so much,” I whispered and clung my battalion captain, not wanting this to be real but knowing all to well that it was.
“What hurts?” He asked and I clutched my chest.
“My heart. My head. I feel like a part of me is missing,” I continued in a hushed voice, not knowing if I could speak any louder.
“Oh general,” Manik said and held me, knowing that something happened but not wanting to pry. We both heard a groan from the other side of the hull, looking over to see Spike waking up. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, before they went wide and he whipped his head around to take in his surroundings. When his eyes landed on me, he leapt up, making the short walk over to where I was and pulling me into a strong hug.
“Su cuy’gar,” He whispered to me and I nodded. I could feel his tears on my shoulder as I hugged him back.
“Yeah,” Was all I said before Chomp came from the cockpit.
“Thank god you two are awake,” he said and came over to the three of us, pulling us all into a group hug. I smiled a little, still feeling the emptiness in my heart. I sniffled and Chomp held onto us tightly, the weighted of the last few hours finally registering for us all.
“What happened?” I asked quietly as the four of us pulled away from the hug. Chomp sighed as he helped me stand, Manik and Spike following suit and we all made our way to the cockpit. Chomp sat in the pilot’s chair, Manik taking copilot and Spike and I sitting in the passenger seats.
“I woke up first, finding you and Spike unconscious on the floor. I figured something must have happened because Spike had his bucket on. I pulled up the security footage and watched everything. I almost didn’t believe what I was watching. But you saved us,” he said and Manik nodded.
“After that I got Spike into the table and finished the procedure. That’s when Manik woke up and I filled him in. He put you on the other one and scanned to make sure you weren’t hurt,” Chomp continued and Manik nodded again, looking a me with a small smile. I was grateful to my men for helping one another but also helping me.
“After I got Spike’s chip out, I helped him while Manik carried you. We were questioned by so many troopers but we played it as cool as we could. Once we made it to the hanger it was too late for them to figure out what we had done and we hijacked a shuttle and booked it,” Chomp said. I was so grateful to them for getting us out of there, still trying to process everything that went on.
“Thank you for saving me,” I said and looked at my men with adoration and gratitude. The Manik and Chomp beamed at me but Spike bowed his head in shame. I turned to him and pulled him into a hug. He tensed a little before returning the hug, looking to his brother who only showed him soft smiles.
“I don’t blame you Spike. It could have happened to anyone,” I said and spoke sighed before pulling away from the hug.
“I know. But I could have killed you,” Spoke said and Chomp placed a hand on Spike’s shoulder, giving it a squeeze.
“But you didn’t Vod’ika. We saved her and the baby,” Chomp said and I froze. I slowly turned to look at Chomp before looking to Manik to confirm. Both of them tensed a little before Manik let out a forced chuckle.
“I…guess you didn’t know. Congrats general. You’re pregnant,” Manik said. My ears began ringing again as I pulled away from Spike and looked down at my stomach. My hands instinctively went to my stomach where, true to their word, I could sense the life growing inside me. How I hadn’t before was beyond me but I guess I never really paid much attention to it. I knew it was Rex’s baby, and that thought made my eyes water all over again.
Chomp stood up and pulled me into a hug, letting me cry on his shoulder. “It’s okay general. I’m sure Rex is okay. He’s to tough to let some chip get the best of him. What we need to do now is find a safe place to lay low and help you get ready for this baby,” Chomp said and the others agreed. I nodded and sat back down in my seat, letting Chomp, Manik and Spike take the lead.
From there everything changed. The war had ended and the Jedi were deemed traitors. They were hunted and killed; any clones who went against the order were taken to an unknown place. Chomp, Spike, Manik and I had found refuge on an independent world, the three of them helping me through the Woah’s of pregnancy the best they could. It took a long time to adjust but soon enough I had my baby. And I named him Cody after commander Cody.
Sooner or later, I came into contact with Ahsoka again. She had told me that she and Rex had survived but after a few months together she lost contact with him. I was devastated that I would not get to see him again but at least I knew he was alive for the moment. Ahsoka came and met my son, falling in love at the first sight of him. I smiled as she told me more about what happened to her during the order.
It was a difficult conversation but one that needed to be had. As the days passed, my men began going on missions of their own to find and free their brothers, moving from planet to planet trying to make a difference. I stayed at our “home” with my son, trying to raise him as best I could. As he grew, I saw more and more of Rex in him. His eyes, his smile, his hair. He was a little copy of Rex and he loved his uncles very much. I came across Kanan a few years later, welcoming him with open arms.
~End Flashback~
From there the rest is history. Spike, Chomp and Manik checked in often but they were doing their own thing now.
I always think back; the last time I spoke to Rex it was telling him how I love him and how we would run away together and have a big family. I do have a family but it still feels incomplete with him. I’m just happy I told him I love him one last time.
My eyes watered even more as I thought about it, my heart hurting and my head pulsating. I took some more deep breaths before I laid back down, shutting my eyes and trying to get a little more sleep.
~ A few Hours Later ~
I felt someone gently shaking me awake, their presence calming and warm. I smiled and I help the hand of whoever came to get me, knowing instantly that it was Ahsoka.
“Rise and shine (Y/N). There is work to be done,” she said softly and I groaned, not wanting to get up. Ahsoka laughed before I felt a weight on my chest, snuggling into me. I smiled a little more as my arms wrapped around Cody, holding him tightly to me.
“You doing okay mom? I could hear you mumbling and sniffling in your sleep,” Cody asked and I opened my eyes to look at him, seeing Rex reflected in his eyes. I nodded as I scratched his head, giving him a kiss on the forehead.
“I’m okay ner ad,” I said and slowly sat up white Cody’s help, bringing my hand up to my chest. I could feel a dull pain in my heart, the same one I always got when I thought of my Rex. Ahsoka noticed and placed a hand on my shoulder before giving it a gentle squeeze. I looked up at her with a small smile, noting just how much she had grown up.
“Come on. Everyone is on the bridge of the command ship. We’ve got a new mission for you,” Ahsoka said with a hesitate smile. I paid no mind to it as we both had a lot on our minds and plates. I stood up, my arms staying wrapped around Cody as the three of us made our way to Phoenix home.
~Small Time Skip~
“The destruction of our command ship has severely limited our ability to fight the empire in this sector,” Commander Sato said as Ezra and Kanan came into the bridge of Phoenix home.
I stood next to Ahsoka against one of the adjacent walls, holding onto Cody as Commander Sato spoke.
“So maybe we don’t fight,” Ezra said sheepishly when commander Sato gave him a stern look. “Uhhh... commander Sato sir. W-when things got tough for me on Lothal, I’d go find some place to hide,” He continued, using hand gestures to convey his point and I giggled a little, remembering how Rex used to do the same thing.
“You are never shy with your opinions, Ezra Bridger,” Sato shot back, not really amused by Ezra’s words. “But establishing a base is a good idea,” Sato said and Ahsoka smiled, as if to agree but also there was something more in her eyes. I didn’t question it, just holding onto Cody and keeping quiet.
“Problem is, none of the potential bases we know of have the tactical advantage we need to protect what’s left of our fleet,” Hera said with her hands on her hips, concern evident in her voice.
“Or, aid the nearby systems suffering from imperial oppression,” Kansan said as he made his way behind Hera, the Twi’lek turning around to give him a look.
“We can’t help others if we can’t help ourselves Kanan,” Hera said, her voice conveying that it should be an obvious thought. “If only we had more allies,” Hera finished, turning back to the console.
“I know someone, who might be able to help us,” Ahsoka spoke up, hands on her hips and her tone of voice indicated to me that she was hiding something. I looked at her quizzically, but she didn’t not look at me, though she seemed to know I was staring at her. Cody looked up at me and held my hand, trying to send a wave of reassurance through the force.
“A great military commander with vast knowledge of the Outer Rim,” she said and my eyes went slightly wide. My mind went to Rex but I knew that could be possible. Ahsoka wouldn’t keep that from me. Would she?
Cody felt me tense and I couldn’t feel Kanan give me a look as my signature changed slightly, turning from calm to anxious before turning back. Cody turned around and hugged me, whispering to ask me what was wrong. I reassured my son that everything was okay, trying not to let him see my inner turmoil.
“He could assist us in finding a base, and his experienced leadership would make him a powerful ally,” Ahsoka said, moving away from the wall she stood by, making her way over to the holotable. Everyone’s eyes followed her, intrigued by her words. I stayed silent, trying not to let my intrusive thoughts overwhelm me.
“How do we recruit this…leader?” Sato asked, sounding just as much intrigued as he was cautious.
“That’s the problem. I lost track of him a long time ago, and all my transmissions have gone unanswered,” she said and stood there, arms crossed and one holding her chin in thought.
“We can find him. Let us try,” Ezra said optimistically, wanting to do what he could to help the cause.
“Well, there is one option I’ve not yet attempted,” Ahsoka said and smirked, giving Ezra a look before exiting the bridge.
~Small Time Skip~
The Ghost crew was back on board the ship, everyone making their way to the bridge for Ahsoka’s ‘test’. I sent Cody with Ezra and Sabine, making my way to my room to meditate. I had a feeling I knew what Ahsoka was planning but I didn’t want to believe it.
He’s gone. Even if he is alive, you severed your bond. You lost the right to call him yours.
My thoughts swirled as I sat on the floor of mine and Cody’s cabin, trying desperately to get my emotions under control.
~On the bridge~
Chopper beeped out that he had a bad feeling about this, moving away from one of the consoles as the rest of the crew came on. Hera was preparing the Ghost to receive the information when Ahsoka made her way into the cockpit. She was carrying a droid head, smiling softly at Cody’s small exclamation of wonder.
“Is that…the head of an old tactical droid?” Kanan asked, amazed and sceptical.
“These droids were great at finding things, calculating,” Ahsoka said as she handed the head off to Sabine. She scoffed slightly as she thought back to the Clone Wars. “Found my master and I a few times when we didn’t want to be found,” She finished, looking at Kanan before looking to Sabine and Ezra.
“How in all the galaxy is that droid gonna find your friend?” Ezra asked, leaning over towards Sabine to get a better look at the droid head. After Ezra’s question, he, Hera and Sabine all looked to Ahsoka, all wondering the same thing.
Chopper beeped and looked over at Ezra sassily, putting his mechanical arms on his “hips”.
“Well,” Ahsoka started, looking at Ezra to answer his question. “I heard he was last seen in the Seelos system.” She said and turned back towards the door to the cockpit. “You can start there.” She finished.
“You’re not coming with us?” Cody asked and stood up, reaching for Ahsoka.
Ahsoka smiled at the young boy and ruffled his hair before pulling him into a hug. “Not on this mission Cody,” she said and Cody pouted a little, not wanting to let go of his aunt just yet. After another minute he let Ahsoka go.
“I have something else to attend to,” She replied and looked at Ezra over her shoulder.
“The Sith Lord,” Kanan said, no question needed as to what Ahsoka was looking for. This conversation was one that needed to be had with (Y/N) present so Kanan turned to Cody.
“Cody where’s your mom?” Kanan asked softly, placing a hand on the young boy’s shoulder. Cody looked at Kanan before looking to the door leading out of the cockpit.
“She went to our room. I don’t think she’s feeling very well,” Cody said and looked to Kanan then Ahsoka. Both gave each other a look that Cody noticed.
“What’s wrong?” Cody said and Ahsoka sighed before giving Cody a small smile.
“It’s nothing ad’ika. Your mom will be okay.” Ahsoka said. Cody looked at her sceptically for a moment before dropping it. Kanan took his hand off Codys shoulder, giving the young boy a smile.
“I’m going to check on her,” Cody said and before anyone could protest, he made his way out of the cockpit and to the cabin he shared with his mother.
~The Ghost Crew~
“There are questions, questions that need answering,” Ahsoka said and looked at Kanan over her other shoulder.
“I wish we could go with you,” Ezra expressed, feeling a little disappointed that he, Kanan and (Y/N) couldn’t go with her to get answers about the Sith Lord.
“You have your own mission, Ezra,” she said and turned back to fully look at him and the rest of the crew before turning and addressing Kanan.
“And Kanan, if you find my friend, you must trust him,” Ahsoka said sternly which caused Ezra to look at her with concern.
“If he’s all the things you say, we can’t afford not to,” Kanan said with a hint of sarcasm, smirking at Ahsoka before it vanished. He could tell she was being serious.
“Trust him, and listen to (Y/N),” Ahsoka repeated again, emphasizing her point as the cockpit doors closed.
“What was that about?” Ezra asked Kanan
“I have no idea,” Kanan said exasperatedly.

Cody opened the door to the cabin, the sight that greeted him was one that hurt his heart. His mother sat there on her cot, tears slowly trailing down her face as she turned something over in her hand.
“Buir?” Cody asked and I looked up at him, startled by his sudden appearance.
“Cody,” I said as I wiped my tears, trying to compose myself for my son. “What’s up kiddo? I thought you were in the cockpit with the rest of the crew,” I asked and Cody walked in, making sure to close the door and lock it behind him as he came and sat on my cot.
“Talk to me mom. Please? There is obviously something on your mind and I want to help in anyway I can,” Cody said quietly and leaned his head on my shoulder. I tensed for a moment before letting out a shaky sigh, taking Cody’s hand in mine.
“I was thinking about your father,” I said softly, lifting my head and tilting it back, trying not to tear up again, Cody looked at me with wide eyes, knowing that this was a topic that I had only talked about a handful of times.
“What about dad?” He asked and I let a ghost of a smile grace my face.
“He was my world. He was everything to me,” I started and Cody turned his full attention to listen, knowing this might be the only time he gets to hear about his father in depth.
“We met at the start of the war. I was the general of a different battalion but we worked closely with the 501st legion. That’s how I met your father, Rex. I knew Anakin, the 501st legions general, because he and I were best friends. I was one of the first people to welcome him when he came to the temple. Anakin was always confident and cocky. He was an amazing friend and when he introduced me to Rex, it was love at first sight. It was against the Jedi code for Jedi to form attachments and it was against regulations for clones to fall in love, much less with a Jedi. We couldn’t be together but we didn’t care. We started our relationship around the one year mark of the war and we had remained in contact ever since. I got my own apartment outside of the temple so that Rex and I could spend time together, away from prying eyes. We made it work very well. We had our ups and downs as all couples do but we remained united,” I said and uncurled my hand, revealing the necklace Rex had given me.
“This was a gift to me from your father. He gave it to me the last time we saw each other face to face before the end of the war. It wasn’t easy for him to get but he told me I was worth it,” Cody’s mouth formed oh shape, finally knowing the meaning and value of the necklace he had seen many times.
“It’s the last piece of your father I have, besides you,” I finished and looked at the necklace in my hand, running my thumb over the sapphire gem just as I did all those years ago. Cody took my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
“What happened to him?” Cody asked tentatively and I sighed, knowing that this time would come.
“I don’t know. I lost contact with him when the war ended. I severed our bond,” I said and Cody gasped. He knew what that meant, having been taught about force bonds by Ahsoka, Kanan and myself. He let go of my hand and instead gave me a hug, hiding his face in my neck to comfort me. I sighed as I hugged my son close, tears falling once again as I thought more about Rex.
“Is that why you get random chest pains whenever you think about dad?” Cody asked quietly and I nodded, feeling him hold me a little tighter.
“I broke our bond because I thought I was going to die. When order 66 was given, I thought I was dead. And I didn’t want Rex to feel that pain so I thought it would be easier to sever our connection. But I didn’t die. Uncle Chomp and Uncle Manik saved me and Uncle Spike. They made sure I was taken care of until you came and they stuck around to help me raise you. I always thought your father died. I always assumed he did because it made it easier to move on. It sounds cruel I know, but I needed to be strong for you ner ad,” I said and Cody pulled away from the hug to look at me.
“I’m sure he’s out there somewhere mom. We’ll find him. I promise,” Cody said with a fierce determination, making me smile with watery eyes. “Remember my vision from earlier?” Cody asked and I nodded.
“That’s how I know he’s alive and I’m sure he’s waiting for you to find him. He’s waiting to reunite with you. I can feel it,” Cody said passionately and I looked down at my lap, thinking about Cody’s words.
“You remind me so much of your father and I couldn’t be prouder of you, ner ad,” I said and Cody smiled, giving me another hug. When we pulled away, he took the necklace from my hand and crawled on my bed behind me, placing the necklace back in its rightful place. I smiled and wiped my tears as Cody came back around in front of me.
“We’ll find him mom. Don’t worry. If what you told me is true, he’s a fighter and he wouldn’t go down that easy,” Cody said and I nodded, a soft ‘okay’ leaving my lips. Cody gave me a kiss on the cheek before grabbing his lightsaber from one of the storage drawers, and taking my hand. He pulled me up and began leading us to the cockpit. I hadn’t realized how much time had passed since the briefing but it had been a little while because we were in hyperspace.
The door whooshed opened and all eyes turned to me and Cody, Kanan standing up and coming over to give me a hug.
“You feel better?” He asked and I nodded, placing my hand on Cody’s head and fluffing his hair.
“Mommmm,” Cody whined and I laughed, the others laughing as well.
“Where are we headed?” I asked and looked to Hera for an answer.
“The Seelos system. That’s where Ahsoka said to start,” Hera responded and I nodded, watching as hyperspace flew right by us.
~Time skip~
Chopper beeped out an ‘uhoh’ as the alarm started going off, one of the control panels sparking and catching fire.
“We get all the way to Seelos and now you tell me the hyperdrive wasn’t completely fixed?!” Hera growled at her droid.
Chopper beeped out sarcastically and Hera threw her arms up as I covered my mouth, trying not to laugh. Hera glared at me which made me laugh even louder.
“You finished the important repairs? How did you define “important”?!” Hera yelled as she turned back to Chopper. Kanan heard the commotion and came up from the common space on the ghost.
“What’s going on?” He asked, wondering why Hera was so mad the alarms were blaring. I laughed and got up, making my way over to Kanan.
“Chopper didn’t fix the hyperdrive properly,” I said and Kanan rolled his eyes, mumbling and ‘of course not’.
“Chopper and I are staying here,” Hera said and grunted as another fuse blew. “To clean up his mess,” She finished and Chopper chirped in protest that it wasn’t his fault.
“Take the phantom!” Hera said as she tried to get the situation under control. “Hopefully we’ll be ready to go by the time you get back,” she said sarcastically, pushing a few buttons on the control panel.
Kanan looked at her and rolled his eyes before looking at me, nodding as he slid down the ladder. I followed soon after, giving Hera a small wave as I went. I got down the ladder as everyone was making their way to the phantom, getting ready for our departure.
“You going to bring Cody?” Kanan asked and I nodded, turning towards mine and Cody’s cabin.
The door opened to reveal my son, lying on the upper cot, a smile on his sleeping face. I smiled as I climbed up the ladder and shook his shoulder gently, coxing him from his sleep.
“Cody? Time to get up sweetheart,” I said and Cody stirred, yawning as he looked at me.
“Hi mom,” he said and sat up, wrapping his arms around me. He buried his face in my neck, holding me a little tighter than usual.
“What’s wrong Cody?” I asked and stroked his hair. He sighed and pulled away before giving me a smile.
“I had another dream about dad. It was a good one.” He said and my eyes began to water.
“I’m sure it was honey. Your father was a great man. and I’m sure if he were here, he would’ve been an amazing father,” I said and Cody wiped my eyes for me.
“We’ll find him mom. He’s out there. I can feel it,” Cody said and I nodded at his optimism. I could sense it too. But I didn’t want to get my hopes up in case I was wrong for believing we were close to Rex.
“Let’s get going. We’re taking the phantom cause Chopper didn’t properly fix the hyperdrive.” I said and Cody rolled his eyes.
“Of course he didn’t,” he said and moved towards the ladder. I hopped down first before Cody followed, both of us making our way to the ladder of the Phantom and climbing up.
The phantom detached from the ghost smoothly, Kanan piloting her like a pro. I smiled as I sat with Cody across from Zeb, the Lasot making faces as Cody laughed like a young child. Zeb was like an older brother to Cody and they always had fun together, getting into trouble and teasing Ezra. It was always amusing to watch, seeing as they all grew to be like family.
Sabine held the tactical droid head in her hands and made her way over to Kanan as we flew through the atmosphere towards the surface of Seelos. I watched from where I sat, the blue sky and cracked ground making the planet seem beautiful in a deserted type of way.
Cody looked at me and I nodded before he got up and made his way over to Ezra and Kanan, Sabine plugging in the head to the computer of the phantom. It whirled for a moment as Sabine said to no one in particular, “Well, let’s fire this thing up,” She placed it on the control panel and the head began to warble. Cody was fascinated with the droid, not really having seen one as important or deadly as this one.
“I think it’s scanning for a signal of some kind,” Sabine said as she held onto the pilot’s seats, Kanan’s brows scrunching together.
“Good luck. You could really get lost out here,” Ezra said, glaring out the cockpit window towards the drab looking grounds bellow.
“Maybe that was the idea,” Zeb started, kind of throwing his arms up in the air. “What if this great commander were looking for doesn’t want to be found?” He speculated and to me, that made a lot of sense. Ezra must have thought the same thing because his face shifted from confused to cautious to understanding to curiosity as he looked out the window again.
I could sense a very familiar presence, almost like it was dancing with me. I looked down and closed my eyes, trying not to reach out but desperately wanting to.
I had closed parts of myself off from the force for years because of the grief of loosing everything I knew. It was only recently, when Cody turned 10, that I opened myself up, making my sense of the force still very wonky.
Zeb placed one of his hands on my knee, knowing that when I did this, I could feel something. Cody came over to me to and wrapped his arms around me, also feeling that something was off with me.
“What’s wrong mom?” He said and I didn’t respond, not wanting to throw myself into another panic attack. I just kept my eyes closed, taking deep breathes, tuning out everything I could, even when the tactical droid began beeping and chiming a number I had heard many times before.
“7567…7567…7,”
“It’s homing in on something,” Sabine said and she and Ezra leaned in a little more, Kanan’s brows still furrowed. Cody gave me one more gentle squeeze and went back over to Ezra, also wanting to see what was being found.
“7567,”
“7567…7567…7567,”
Zeb got up from where he sat, making his way over to the pilot’s seat and looking out the window. I stayed putting, trying my best to meditate and work through my thoughts and feelings. I could sense them. There were three life forms on the surface. Two very familiar and one I had only met a handful of times. I didn’t let myself hope though even when all the evidence was there
“There! Up ahead!” Zeb said eagerly, pushing Ezra, Sabine and Kanan a little too forcefully to get his point across. There was an old republic AT-TE walker, moving slowly across the ground. I stayed unmoving, not wanting to open my eyes.
“Whoa….” Ezra and Cody said together, both admiring the monster of a vehicle the tank was. Sabine gasped at the colourful makeshift patio that rested on top, admiring the craftsmanship of it.
“Now, that is a work of art,” she said and that made me smile a little, still in my own world.
“Looks like an old republic tank,” Kanan said cautiously, not wanting to believe who could be riding in that tank, “used during the Clone wars,” Kanan snarled as he finished his whispered words. My eyes squeezed shut even more, not wanting Kanan’s negativity to influence my thoughts.
“7567...”
The tank came to a hault as the Phantom landed towards the rear, everyone moving to exit the ship. Cody came over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder, giving it a small squeeze.
“We’re here mom,” he said quietly and I nodded, acknowledging that we had landed.
“You coming (Y/N)?” Kanan asked and I shook my head, my mind still piecing everything together. Zeb opened the hatch and led Sabine and Ezra out.
“Let’s go Cody, leave your mom to meditate. She’s going through a lot. And be on guard,” Kanan said as he ushered Cody out. He looked back at me but I kept me head down, the things I was feeling becoming overwhelming.
The hatch remained opened behind Cody and Kanan as Kanan also warned Ezra to be on guard. I could feel the force pulling me towards my past, wanting me to reflect, wanting me to open back up fully. I was afraid because I knew now what awaited me outside the door. I could feel his life force, just as strong as the day we met, still slightly fractured from the day I severed our bond.
I slowly opened my eyes as I felt a weight being lifted, the force surging through me like an old friend not forgotten. I smiled as I felt it but that smile was quickly wiped away as I heard blaster fire. I unclipped my saber from its place on my hip and opened the hatch of the phantom, ready to defend my friends on both sides.
~Outside~
The group walked up toward the tank, the makeshift windchimes ringing as the group waited. Cody made his way to the front of the group with Ezra, even against Kanan’s silent protests. The back door to the AT-TE opened to reveal three older looking men, all looking the same but also different.
Cody felt a serge in the force, one so strong it took his breath away. He held a hand to his chest as he started at the man in the front of the group. This man was familiar and Cody knew it had to be someone special. He knew this man. Zeb broke him out of his internal battle with the force by scoffing and rolling his eyes.
“It’s just a bunch of old geezers,” he said and crossed his arms.
“Well armed old geezers,” Sabine added, admiring the weaponry the men were sporting.
“What do you want?” The first man called to the group and Cody took hold of Zeb’s arm, trying to balance himself as another serge from the force took his breath again and made his heart race.
“We’re looking for someone,” Kanan said sceptically, calling back to the men.
“Well, that’s too bad, ‘cause there’s nobody out here,” The man said, leaning against the railing of the tank. Ezra stepped up, Cody moving to stand with him but still staying back. He needed to know if he was right.
“Hey, uh, does the number 7567 mean anything to you?” Ezra asked carefully, holding his hand up a little, holding Cody back from being up front.
“What did you just say?” The first man snarled, the ones flanking him raising their weapons defensively.
“Uh, I said 7567,” Ezra repeated cautiously, Cody moving from behind his hand to step up in front of the group.
“I haven’t heard those digits in…well that’s my birth number!” The man said and Cody finally took a stand as Ezra thought to himself what ‘birth number’ could mean.
“Buir?” Cody said and stared at the man in front, all three visibly tensing at the use of Mando’a and the term used. Before anything else could be said, Kanan snarled.
“They’re clones!” He said and pushed Ezra and Cody back, Cody falling with the force of it as Kanan ignited his lightsaber to defend the group.
The three men were snapped out of their shock of a child speaking Mando’a, instead turning fully defensive at the Jedi.
“Kanan, wait. Stop!” Cody yelled but Kanan didn’t listen.
“Jedi! They’ve come for revenge,” The clone with the scar over his left eye yelped and immediately began firing at Kanan.
“Drop the blaster old man,” Zeb yelled back as he and Sabine took out their weapons.
“Don’t try it boyo! I’ll gun you down,” The man in the blue shirt said in response, taking aim at the group.
“Stand down troopers. Now! That’s an order Soldier,” The front man said, pushing the others blasters towards the ground.
“Sha’kaji al’verde!” A voice boomed and everyone turned to see (Y/N), holding her (L/C) lightsaber in her hand. Cody stood up quickly and ran to his mother, wrapping his arms around her. She placed her free hand around her son but her eyes never left those of the captain.
All three men were just as shocked, their weapons dropping immediately. The rest of the Ghost crew looked at me, their weapons still slightly raised and Kanan’s saber still ignited.
“Stow your weapons,” I said to Zeb and Sabine, moving up towards the tank slowly.
“But...” Zeb began but I gave him a sharp look. Zeb backed off, knowing that when I had that look, I wasn’t playing. Sabine did the same, not wanting to be on the receiving end.
“Stow. Your. Weapons. That’s an order,” I said sternly and once they did, I turned my eyes on Kanan.
“Lower your weapon Kanan. Now,” I said in the same tone. Kanan didn’t and he turned to glare at me but my glare was just as hard, if not harder.
“You forget your place Kanan. Lower your saber now or I will have no choice but to take it,” I said, my voice dripping with venom. Zeb, Ezra and Sabine all stared in shock at my tone, knowing that I meant business.
Kanan stopped for another moment before he finally retracted his saber, placing it on his belt and backing away to give me some space. I did the same, retracting my saber and placing it back on my hip, my arm never leaving Cody as we made our way to the tank. I looked up and stared at the three fine men, Commander Wolffe, Commander Gregor and my love, Captain Rex.
All three stood there, shocked and unmoving, Rex’s eyes never leaving mine. My eyes were beginning to water and I could tell by Cody’s hold on me that he knew who this man was. I watched as Rex’s eyes flicked down from mine, noticing the necklace that I wore. The same necklace her gave to me that night in my apartment so many years ago. He then met my eyes again, still at a loss for words.
“Udes verde,” I said quietly. All three of them stood at attention before standing at ease, Rex’s mouth opening and closing like a fish. I smiled as I watched his lost for word expression, tears beginning to stream down my cheeks. Cody looked up at me and then to Rex, putting the pieces of the puzzle in the right place.
“Mom?” He asked and I saw Rex’s eyes widen even further, Wolffe and Gregor looking to the captain and then back at us.
“Su cuy’gar ner alor’ad,” I said and Rex finally took a breath, tears leaving his eyes as well.
“Ner cyar’ika,” He whispered and I nodded, giving Cody a kiss on the forehead before I let go of him, taking a step and jumping up to the platform of the tank, landing right in front of Rex as he backed up to give me room. It didn’t take a second before he was on me, holding me close and kissing me like there was not tomorrow.
I reciprocated just as quickly, holding his face in my hands and caressing his beard, smiling into the kiss. Rex smiled with me as we pulled away, leaning his forehead against mine.
“I thought I lost you, ner cyare,” Rex said tearfully and I nodded, my eyes watering just as much.
“I’ll explain it all Rex I promise,” I said and kissed him again, pulling him impossibly closer. It was as if the rest of the world didn’t exist besides the two of us at the moment, rebuilding the bond that was broken and making up for lost time. We pulled away panting, both of us laughing and crying at finally being reunited.
I turned and looked down at the rest of the crew, Sabine, Zeb and Ezra were smiling softly, giving me thumbs up and claps. Kanan stood to the back of the group, looking at Rex and then me apprehensively, but not saying anything. Cody had a huge smile on his face, finally getting to see his father.
“Come up here ner ad,” And Cody nodded, doing as I did and jumping on to the platform. Wolffe and Gregor made room as Cody hopped up, the rest of the ghost crew loading into the Phantom and lifting off, landing the ship gently on top of the AT-TE.
“Rex, my love,” I started holding Rex’s hand as Cody came up to us. Rex looked at me and then back at Cody, staring at him with wide eyes.
“He’s ours?” Rex whispered and I nodded, my eyes watering again as Rex broke out into sobs, pulling Cody in for a big hug. Cody smiled as he reciprocated the hug, holding on to his long-lost father. They stayed like that for a little longer which gave me a chance to turn around and pull Wolffe into a hug, the commander dropping his second gun and immediately returning it. Gregor came over to us and did the same, giving me a hug as Cody and Rex pulled away.
“It’s so good to see you all alive,” I said tearfully and Woffle wiped his own tears, Gregor giving a huge smile.
“You too general,” Woffle said and Gregor laughed in agreement.
“What’s your name Son?” Rex said as he knelt down so that he was a little more level with Cody. I walked over a placed a hand on Cody’s shoulder, giving him a reassuring squeeze and he smiled at me. He turned back to look at Rex and with a childlike smile her told him.
“My name is Cody (L/N),” He said proudly and Rex’s eyes went wide again as the Ghost crew dismounted from the phantom, coming to a stop around our group. Rex turned and looked at me as I smiled with teary eyes before he turned back to Cody.
“Do you know who you got your name from son?” He asked quietly and Cody nodded again.
“Commander Cody of the 212th clone battalion. A great soldier, a born leader and a great friend of my dad,” Cody said, echoing something I had told him many years ago. Rex nodded and pulled Cody into another hug, lifting him up and pulling me into a hug as well. We were a family reunited after so many years apart and I couldn’t be happier.
“Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum ner cyar’ika,” Rex said and I smiled and kissed his cheek.
“Ni kar'tayli gar darasuum ner alor’ad,” I replied and Cody smiled before he patted Rex’s shoulder to let him down. Rex did so immediately, instead latching on to me and holding me tightly as if I would disappear at any moment.
“Dad?” Cody asked and Rex responded with ‘yes Cody?’
“I want you to meet my friends,” he said and walked over to the ghost crew who at this point had been watching our reunion with smiles. Kanan still had a sour look on his face but I don’t think he could deny that I was happy. As Cody introduced Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor to the crew I couldn’t help but smile. Rex had only found out he was a father ten minutes ago and he had already taken to the role like it was natural for him.
I smiled at my family, finally reunited after so long apart. I’d have to have a word with Ahsoka about this but for now, I wanted to enjoy the moment.

Wow, just wow

Word count: 1822
Notes: I’m very proud of this one and I hope you enjoy! It’s also not proofread because I need some sleep
Cody’s head hurt again.
But it wasn’t like last time, he was in control now and always will be.
“How are you feeling Kotes?” Rex came around the tables and laid a hand on Cody’s shoulder.
To be honest Cody wasn’t sure what he was feeling, if anything. Nausea sat in the pit of his stomach but he feared that it wasn’t just from the procedure he went through.
A hand reached up to the side of his head, the fresh bandage felt course under his hand- the all to familiar feeling of before.
“I’m fine.” Cody’s voice was raspy and burned his throat- Rex picked up on this and quickly went to get him a drink of water.
There he sat alone.
He was alone for a while now, but nothing like this. If you went back a few week you would see the small spark of hope illuminating in his eyes.
Cody wasn’t sure of a lot of things since the war ended but maybe it was the illusion of hope that he and Crosshair could escape together.
“Good soldiers follow orders.”
Then Cody went AWOL. Finally it seemed that he got his mind right- the headaches and the dreams that plagued him however said otherwise.
Rex walked back in. Cody’s eyes were clouded in thought as he sat unmoving on the table.
Placing a ginger hand on his knee Rex has never seen is brother in such a state. But the way he felt in this moment- finally getting his free will totally returned to him was something he would never forget.
“Hey Kotes,” Rex helped him to his feet and lend him out into the halls. “We found something you might need to take a look at.”
Cody almost instantly snapped back to attention as the pair of brothers made their way back to the ship they arrived on.
“A few radars picked up on some chatter from the bounty hunters guild.” Rex returned to the Captain Cody knows and loves, things were going back to how they use to be.
“Why would your crew have any interest in the guilds?” Cody questioned, a little slow to connect the dots. “Your fighting an empire here.”
Rex stared at him for a moment, his try at a sarcastic tone clearly flew over Rex’s head.
It was one of the only times Cody has ever seen Rex so unsure about what he was about to say. “We picked up Y/N’s location. The bounty for Jedi are unbelievably high and I’m worried if one of us doesn’t get there in time it might go sour.”
Cody froze in his seat, the end of Rex’s sentence seemed to go blurry. The moment replayed every hour of the day, awake or asleep. He memorized the moment when he watched Obi-wan fall from that terrible hight.
He remembered the look you gave him as he turned to you, your lightsaber coming up in your shaky hands staring at him.
“Cody what’s going on?”
“I- they made it?” Cody looked at Rex, the dark thought that he was playing a terrible joke on him.
Rex only nodded his confirmation. Waiting for Cody to see just want he would do.
You wouldn’t want to see him. Cody didn’t even want to see himself. The terrors he’s created would never wash off no matter how hard he scrubbed.
The armor that surrounded him all his life was striped away, just like everything he has ever known. His sunshine was stripped away as well.
Taking a shaky breath in Cody whispered. “Take me to them.”
•••
Your head hurt again.
It was just like the last time, the moment you realized nobody was on your side anymore.
The purge left you stranded by yourself, unsure of what to do you fled as far as you could.
The outer rim served its purpose for now but the empire was expanding, and the hunters became bolder with their search.
Against your better judgment you tried to reach Ahsoka, Hunter even but it was no use.
Maybe now you were by yourself. Cutoff.
You sat up straight in your makeshift bed. The sheets bawled into your fist as your chest heaved and sweet ran down your back.
You weren’t safe even in your own mind.
You watched him fall. The scream you let out as you lost him over the edge. Everyone around you went off.
Cody. Your Cody turned to you next- all around you heard the all too familiar sound of blasters raising. Cody aimed for you as you brought your weapon up, the thought of hurting any of them never crossed your mind before.
“Cody.” You had tried. “Cody what’s going on?”
The blaster that was shot at you was the moment you woke this time. Other times you weren’t as lucky to be spared with the memory.
The sky was masked with the darkness of the night, your clock told you at you barely sleep 2 hours since you tried to go to sleep.
You gathered yourself as practically dragged yourself to the only window in your “home”
This wasn’t home. Nothing would come close to what the word use to mean to you, but it was soemthing keeping you mildly safe.
The sky above never really changed, it was the only constant you found after the end of the war. The only thing you could depend on that would never harm you.
Your head buzzed again, for a split second you turned to your hidden saber, the weapon you couldn’t pick up since you arrived on this rock. The crystal within buzzed constantly in your ear, begging to be picked up once again.
It use to be a background noise that grounded you, but things have changed.
You stared into the darkness for a moment, the lightsaber wasn’t it. Turning your attention back to the outside world the familiar feeling felt crooked in your chest.
It wasn’t really right, but it was something you recognized none the less.
A cloak that you threw around yourself countless times before made its way to your shoulders- masking you from others and you left closing your door silently behind you.
For a moment you thought maybe, just maybe it was your master heat to tell you everything would be ok, to help you just as he had countless times before.
But you couldn’t think like that, like you use too. Hope burned within you as you followed the force you tried desperately to get rid of.
•••
Cody tried the comm channel he used countless times before, he could practically put it in with his eyes closed.
But of course no answer.
He did try once before- the first night he ran from the empire, alone in the back of a transport ship he tried to reach the Jedi he grew fond of.
It was one of the only instants the commanders eyes watered slightly and his nose ran.
Rex was waiting near by with the ship as he walked the streets of this planet alone. His armor was covered with a poncho Rex lent him and frankly it was the best he could do.
He hoped that you weren’t here, the disgusting streets and inhabitants made him sick. But what if this was better than see him again?
Cody shook that last thought. His hand shook slightly at his side which was a nervous habit he picked up a long time ago.
His eyes scanned the dark scenery for any sign that you might have been here, a sign Cody hoped nobody else could pick up on.
On instinct he turned down an alley to his left, this was definitely not the place to be at this time.
His eyes squinted trying to pin point a figure towards the end. This was the only time he wished for his helmet that didn’t seem his own.
Something ate at the inside of him again. His breath was sparse wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him. If his mind was no longer his own.
The figure took a few steps from the shadows that engulfed them. The moon illuminated someone that haunted every minute of his life.
You held a blaster out in front of you, but this time you didn’t shake.
Cody didn’t dare take another step. His eyes were firmly planted on the ground as he kneeled down dropping his blaster in front of him.
“Cody?”
He could only nod, afraid that his voice would highlight just how vulnerable he felt in this very moment.
But he had to say something, he couldn’t leave you again.
“I’m- I’m so sorry kid.” His voice broke through his words. This uncertain feeling engulfed him like a flame showing no mercy. “Sorry, I’m sorry.”
You stared at him for a moment. Taking in the sight- clearly things were different. The sunshine was stripped from him. His eyes, though they tried to avoid you, seemed hollow.
You thought of two things in this moment.
You wanted to run, run from someone that could hurt you all over again, someone that you weren’t even sure you could trust.
Or
You could try to hang onto one of the only things that you so desperately needed. You needed someone.
The blaster clanked to the ground as you walked to Cody. Your guard was up but the tears betrayed what you were really hoping for.
You hoped that Cody was himself again.
Cody looked up, your familiar eyes caught his own. The tears that he dried so many times fell across your cheeks, and he only wished to dry them one more time.
“I’m sorry.” He didn’t know what else to say, his mind left him and he could only mutter the only words that went through his head, as if they could make everything better.
You kneeled down with him. For a second Cody thought this might be a dream of his own and this was the moment that he would loose you once again.
But you stayed.
Quickly you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him flushed against you.
Cody wasted no time crushing you into him. You cling to him as he continued to whisper small apologies into your hair.
Through the muffled sniffles you voiced. “I liked your other armor kot’ika.”
For the first time in a while Cody found himself giving an actual laugh.
He nodded as he griped you even tighter as if he was afraid that if he let go you would leave.
“I think I could use some help painting it again.” He spoke a little louder. The emotions still sounded in his voice.
It was your turn to nod into his chest. For the first time in a while You found yourself crying tears of relief that finally someone was here for you again.
This time you weren’t going to let him go again.

Read on AO3 — Masterlist — Taglist
The only thing worse than the day you’ve had was this week as a whole. Nothing had gone right with the New Republic school going up in town, and somehow the solution to several of those problems was what you’d said a week ago… but only when that bureaucratic sop from Coruscant said it. Not to mention the pipes burst in your apartment, you slipped down some stairs in front of a street full of people (with the worst bruise of your entire life to prove it), and to top it all off, you dropped your overpriced caf all over your shoes this morning.
Not a great week.
At this point, you’re only one minor inconvenience away from snapping—the fact that it’s the end of the work week is the only thing keeping you together. And, of course, your perfect, wonderful captain of a boyfriend, Rex. You’ve been staying at his farmhouse while repairs are made to the water lines that caused the damage at your place.
He and his brothers, Gregor and Wolffe, had come to your quiet little agricultural planet a couple years ago and fixed up a few of the old houses at the edge town to live in. They mostly keep to themselves, but are always willing to lend a helping hand when it’s needed, whether it’s making repairs after the annual monsoon, donating fresh produce for school meals, or digging out flooded irrigation ditches. They are good men and the town accepts them as part of their own, even if Wolffe is a little grumpy and Gregor turns all the local women into giggling messes when he’s around.
The three of them are mending a fence on the far side of the property when you arrive at the farmstead. Usually you would have taken your speeder over for a chat, but you don’t think you have it in you after today. All you want to do is take off your bra and flop face-down on Rex’s couch to wait for the world to stop sucking—which is exactly how Rex finds you when he comes inside a few minutes later.
“Another great day then, mesh’la?” he teases with the mirth of a man who already knows his question’s answer. His work boots make a thud on the stone tiles as he pulls them off.
Without looking up, you grunt a “no” into the cushions and shake your head.
“Do you want to come shower with me or do you need some alone time?”
“Alone time,” your muffled voice answers, “then Rex time. Lots and lots of Rex time.”
His warm chuckle and beard graze delightfully over the back of your neck as he bends to press a kiss to your hair. “Alright then, pretty girl. Just relax and I’ll be back to give you all the time in the world, okay?” You give him another muffled affirmative and he squeezes your calf affectionately before heading to the ‘fresher.
Maker, he’s good to you.
A year ago you would have never thought you’d find yourself in a long-term relationship with an ex-clone trooper who’s old enough to be your father, or that you would be calling said ex-clone trooper Daddy while he makes you see stars. The Force works in mysterious ways, you suppose… not that you’re complaining. Far from it.
Your relationship with Rex might have come as a surprise but you’ve never been happier: things with him are as close to perfect as they can get. He cares for you, makes you feel so safe and loved and warm that you could melt into a puddle at his feet, and you adore him. He’s kind, strong, and compassionate, a good leader through and through. The galaxy has never made a finer man, and not to mention, a finer lover.
Eventually, you muster the strength to roll yourself off the couch and ditch your work clothes for your much more comfortable loungewear, deciding to forgo panties as a nice little surprise for your boyfriend. Snuggling under his covers that smell of him, you flip onto your stomach to scroll through your datapad. Efficient as always, Rex doesn’t make you wait long, the ‘fresher door sliding open a few minutes later. The comforting, woody smell of his soap fills your nose as you take in his broad frame glistening from his shower.
Kark, he looks good. All broad shoulders and bronze skin, thick and perfect. How has no one made a statue of this man?
Noticing your interested stare, he winks as he hangs his towel on its hook. “Feeling better, mesh’la?”
You hum your delight and click off your tablet to give him your full attention. “Yeah, could be better, though,” you add with a sneaky smile.
“Oh yeah? How?” Flicking off the ‘fresher light, he starts towards you. The mischievous glint in your boyfriend’s eye is more than enough to get your blood pumping, especially combined with his shirtless upper half.
You flip up the covers next to you, grinning up at him. “Well for starters, you could get in the bed with me, handsome.” His brown eyes sparkle when he returns the expression, the corners of his eyes crinkling fondly. “And then you can hold me and make me forget all about this entire kriffing week.”
Your captain is quite good at making you forget things, whether it be a bad day or your own name.
Obliging as always, Rex slides in behind you and loops an arm around your waist to pull you flush against his bare chest. Your body reacts immediately to his touch, the tension in your muscles slacking. He nuzzles into your neck, making you giggle from the way his beard tickles the sensitive skin there, and starts kissing every bit of you his lips can reach. When you try to squirm away from him and his beard, squealing and panting from your laughter, he just locks his big arms around you and keeps going.
“Eeee! Rex! S-stop, you’re tickling me-you’re tickling me!”
In between smacking kisses, he chuckles into your ear. “I thought you said you want me to make you forget about this week, mesh’la.” His hold loosens enough for you to wriggle around to face him, wrapping your arms around his neck and admiring how handsome he is up close.
You brush your lips over his, gently running your nails down the back of his neck and savoring the way he shivers at your soft touches; knowing you have such an effect on him makes your skin hot. “Well Captain,” you drawl with syrupy sweetness, “I was thinking something more along the lines of… this.” You roll your hips against his, sighing at the pleasant sensation.
Rex groans his rumbling approval and drops his large hands to your ass to grind you harder against his center. “Anything you want, baby, just tell me and it’s yours.”
You know what you want: to be taken care of after this shit-show of a week, to be kissed and loved and cherished like only he can, doted on and held safe in his arms. You want to completely let go and surrender—no more thoughts, no more worries, just him. Just Rex. Your perfect, perfect Rex.
Capturing his lips in an indulgent kiss, you whine your desire into his mouth when you break for air, not caring how needy you sound.
He shushes you with gentle sounds, stroking over your hair. “Of course, sweetheart,” he coos in a sinfully sweet voice, cradling your face between his palms, “you’ve had a hard week… yeah, I know, I know. You need Daddy to make it all better, don’t you?” He pulls you crushingly tight against the strong line of his body, just how he knows you like, holding all your pieces together so you don’t have to.
“Please,” you gasp, burrowing deeper into him, “Don’t wanna… don’t wanna be anymore. Just wanna be yours.” The ache of existence in your chest is already beginning to melt underneath his weight, replaced by the tender warmth of his devoted attention. The edges of your mind go liquid as you let him pour you into his mold.
“Daddy’s going to take care of you, all you have to do is listen and let him make you feel good, okay, babygirl?” You bob your head in a nod, your eyes starry and wide as you await his next instruction. Rubbing the back of your neck, Rex places an affectionate kiss on your forehead for your obedience. “Good girl. Now turn over, face out and back to me… lift your arms… yeah, just like that,” he murmurs as he slides your top off, planting wet kisses on the new skin exposed to him.
His battle-worn hands skim up the swell of your tummy to take in breasts. You’re already buzzing in eager anticipation. You push into his touch, pressing your chest out in an offer of more, and you’re to be quickly rewarded with a low groan and his fingers rolling your sensitive nipples deliciously slow. Wanting heat rises through you like a flame catching to dry tender while little mewls of pleasure fall from your lips.
“So beautiful, so warm, my sweet cyar’ika,” he purrs between more lush kisses, “I know this makes you feel good… I’m going to give those perfect tits the attention they deserve.” He gives your peaked tips a gentle pinch and you moan, the electric sensation shooting straight to swollen clit. Smiling at your vocal pleasure, Rex begins an erotic rhythm that has you bucking your hips as his fingers alternate between pinching and rolling.
“Ooohhh, y-you feel so… you feel s-so good,” you whine, writhing against his ministrations. With the way his breathing has gone hot and ragged in your ear, you swear it could be enough to make you come untouched.
“That’s it, pretty girl, just feel the pleasure… just concentrate on how good you feel, nothing else,” he instructs, his deep voice like golden honey to your ears. “Daddy’s got you now, he’s gonna take care of everything. He doesn’t like seeing his baby so stressed and unhappy.” Rex latches onto your pulse point, sucking your heated flesh into his mouth and sending waves of pleasure throbbing through your nerves.
“Nev-never unhappy with you,” you pant, reaching your hand back to push him deeper into your neck. Rex is your shining sun who banishes all of life’s many darknesses, and the match which lights the fire of your loins. He’s everything to you, and right now, he’s all you can feel and see and smell. It’s utterly divine.
“Mmm, that makes me so happy to hear, you know why? Making you happy, taking care of my beautiful babygirl… it makes me happy. Daddy loves being there for his cyar’ika and he’d do anything to put a smile on her face, you know that?” Cupping your jaw, he tilts your head back to steal the little gasps of delight dripping sugary-thick from your lips. As hot and heavy as things have become, Rex doesn’t rush. He takes his time licking into your mouth and nibbling on your slicked bottom lip, all the while kneading and rolling your breasts, ever the man to keep his word.
Molten heat rushes through your veins as his words pour over your skin, spurring you onto new heights under his generous hands—the deep swell of his voice loosens the taunt aggravation of the week still stowed in your muscles. You’re like lavish wax under his care, worked pliable by him then molded into a work of weightless art, your very existence something to be admired.
His calloused fingertips sweep over the plushness of your lower belly, the shimmering heat of your arousal converging at his touch. When he dips below the fabric of your waistband, he sucks in a breath. “No panties, pretty girl? Now you’re the one spoiling me,” he groans, his cock twitching against the cage of your back.
You let out a delighted, breathy giggle at his body’s reaction to the discovery. “I thought you might like that,” you breathe out fond and pleased, “I did it just for you.”
He brushes lower, his middle finger tracing over the damp seam of your folds and a whimper sneaks through your smile at the feathery sensation. It’s these light, almost subatomic touches that make you come loose at the seams—and he knows it. Inside the year that you’ve been together, Rex has learned your body intimately, its history and inner workings revealed in the hours you spent in his arms.
“I love to hear your sweet little laugh, and I love to know that you’re smiling,” he murmurs affectionately, cupping your slick mound, “I’m so proud of you for letting me take some of the weight off you after this difficult week.” He takes a moment to plant kisses in the soft crook of your neck and up to your ear before continuing. “Now, just lie back, let me make you feel all warm and sweet. I want to watch you melt for me… melt and leave me with all your sweet honey to lick up.”
Each word shaped by his rich rasp further unmoors you from your senses. That sensual tingling feeling of submission bubbles pleasantly across your mind, your bones softening to downey cotton as you lose yourself to the sound of Rex’s voice. You can’t tell where the vibration of your own sounds of pleasure end and his begin, but it doesn’t matter. You’re safe, so, so safe and happy here in the glowing space between his arms. If only you could have him inside, too…
“C-can I have more, please? Want more of you, baby,” you pant, grinding into his palm between your thighs.
“Of course, mesh’la, you can have whatever you like. Anything and everything, all you have to do is ask.” Pressing into your lower lips, he spreads you apart. Your teeth immediately catch your lip when his trigger finger begins languidly sliding over your buzzing clit; the delicious friction fans the flames of your desire, heating you from the inside out. A rumble of satisfaction rolls up his chest when your head falls back against his shoulder with a contented sigh.
Rex takes advantage of the new access you allowed him, dragging his hot lips over your collarbone to nip and suck little marks onto your heated skin. “Mmm, I love touching you, I love feeling you,” he hums, thick and heady, “I want you to feel how much I care about you…” He scrapes his teeth up your tender throat to capture your mouth with his own.
Stars-Maker-kriff does he kiss like a god. A king amongst men, really, who- “Oh!”
Your eyes fly open as your captain easily flips you under him like a ragdoll, pulling your pants down and flinging them over his shoulder in one fluid motion that has you gushing.
“That’s better,” he mutters between hot mouthed-kisses down your sternum and over your tummy. The way his beard scrapes over your skin has chillbumps flowering all over. “It fills me up with so much happiness when I get to love on my sweet cyar’ika and take care of her. Makes everything else go away for me, too, sweetheart. I get to just focus on you.”
His large hands skate down your ribs then down the curve of your hips to massage the fullness of your thighs. “I’ve been waiting to worship this perfect pussy, pull all those pretty sounds out of you while you come over and over… just like you deserve.”
You’re nothing more than a warm soup of sparkling sensation, swirling around the ache building in your core. Rex isn’t usually one to tease you, but it feels like he’s taking an eternity to make it between your-
“Ohhhh, Reeeex!”
Wrapping his thick arms around your thighs, he literally lifts you up to his mouth, moaning like a man tasting some paradisic fruit after months in the desert. “Fuck, babygirl, your little pussy… I could feel hot and needy it was when you were rubbing up against me, how wet and messy you were… but this? Kark. I’m so lucky to be able to kiss all over this beautiful cunt. So lucky to have this pussy, this ass,” he gives an appreciative squeeze to your behind, “and this sweet little girl all to myself.”
The air is suctioned from your lungs by the gravity of his pleasure; it’s unrelenting and all-consuming, it’s all you can comprehend. Squeezing your eyes shut in focus, you manage a reply. “S-so l-lucky to have you, Rex. You’re s-so good to me… love you… love you so much.” You cut off with a shuddering cry when he sucks your bud between his lips, not caring that you’re swiftly losing a battle you don’t want to win.
“I love you so much, my mesh’la,” he pants into your heat. “My sweet, precious girl, I’m going to give you my fingers, okay? Gonna give you just what you need so you can come all over my face.” He slips two of his fingers in his mouth, sucking and releasing them with pop before easing into your soaked entrance. The twin sounds of your satisfaction fill the room, the stout stretch of his fingers making you moan while the clutch of your cunt has your captain grunting praises against your clit.
“Kark, you’re so tight and wet, so perfect… clenching around me,” he crooks his fingers as much as he can in the restrictive walls, “Don’t hold back, beautiful, let me hear you. Let me hear how good you feel.”
His words scorch your nerves to ash with a molten magma of pleasure that erupts from your core. Your spine bows up, making Rex find the soul-shattering spot that makes you scream in ecstasy. The world around you snaps into sharp focus, bright and loud before exploding in a shower of stars and lambent energy. You’re unmade, unwound down to your most basal form of hot-blooded, carnal need where time and worldly matters no longer reign in your existence. Primal satisfaction and the thrill of euphoria rule you instead for several effervescent moments.
When the flood of electricity flowing from every cell and synapse begins to ebb to jolting aftershocks, the sweet praise of your lover floats over you in warm waves. “So beautiful like this… keep going mesh’la, take what you need… I love you so much… love making you feel good, love feeling your perfect pussy on my fingers…”
Reverent kisses are bestowed like offerings to the divinity of your pleasure as you materialize back into reality one pounding heartbeat at a time. Joy radiates from every molecule in your body, the stress of the mortal coil dissolved and washed far away, leaving you light, free, and happy. You want nothing more than to revel in this glorious sensation with the love of your life, and you call out to your captain with a breezy sigh, “Rex…”
“Cyare…”
“Want you close, my love, want you to hold me.”
You barely register his movement in your hazy after-glow, but soon your chest is pressed against a familiar wall of muscle and there’s a blanket wrapped around your shoulders. Snuggling into his open warmth, you nuzzle into his neck and inhale Rex’s timber-fresh scent.
Safe… happy… love. Him. Forever.
Your hazy thoughts drift across the clear sky of your mind, eventually coalescing into a nebulous sentiment your lips can form around. “Rex… love you so much… thank you, baby.”
Curling around you tighter, Rex’s beard brushes over your shoulder as he leans in to kiss your temple. “Anything for you, my sweet, perfect girl,” he smiles into your hair, “You are everything to me, the light of an old soldier’s life. I will always take care of you, my mesh’la, no matter what.”
And with the certainty only love can bring, you know him to be true.

Dream A Little Masterlist │ Playlist
Don’t panic.
Don’t panic.
DON’T. PANIC.
“I meant someone else. I’m not confident that I can-”
“Cut the osik. What’s going on?” Kix crosses his arms, his eyes still narrowed at you.
How are you supposed to get out of this? He clearly knows you well enough to know you’re lying. What if you just tell him the truth? He’ll more than likely think you’re crazy. You’re still not entirely convinced you’re not.
This is all just starting to feel too real for you, so you close your eyes and will yourself awake.
Wake up.
WAKE. UP. Goddammit. Why isn’t it working?
Kix sighs your name, making your eyes snap open again.
“Just talk to me.” Kix sighs, a pleading look in his eyes.
Clearly the two of you are good friends here in your dream or alternate reality, or whatever this is.
“Do you promise to not think I’m crazy or to not tell anyone if I tell you?” You ask him, your pleading look matching his own.
He nods. “Of course.”
As the two of you walk in silence to a more secluded spot, you try to figure out how to tell him the truth. Even though he promised to not think you’re crazy, that doesn’t mean he can stop the intruding thought from popping into his head. And you can’t really blame him. Would you believe you if you were in someone else’s shoes?
“Okay…” You breathe out as you find a closet and go inside. “Okay…”
Your hands start fidgeting, clenching and unclenching as you pace in the small space. Kix murmurs your name again, stopping you so that you look at him.
“It’s alright.” He assures you.
You nod, wanting to believe him.
God, why can’t you wake up?
“I’m not from here…” You start.
He laughs, confused. “Okay?”
“I’m not from this… reality?” You still struggle to find the words.
“What do you mean?” His brows furrow as he struggles to understand what you’re saying.
You shake your head, still trying to find the words.
“Do you know how when I first woke up yesterday, I woke up confused?”
He nods. “I heard about it.”
“That’s because I’d never been here before…”
You’re still timid to tell him this is all a tv show in your reality.
You continue anyway. “My ‘real’ life is somewhere that is different from this galaxy…”
Kix’s face goes from confused to disbelief rather quickly. You still can’t really believe it yourself.
“I go to sleep at night there and then I’m somehow transported here…”
“Okay…” He murmurs. “I mean, I’ve heard and seen way stranger things happen.”
“Y-you believe me?”
“I have no reason not to. I know for a fact that you’re not crazy.” He smiles softly and you let out a huge sigh of relief. “Unless you’re having some sort of mental breakdown…”
You give him a pointed look and he puts his hands up in surrender.
“Okay. Not a mental breakdown. Got it.” He nods, smiling.
He believes you.
“Do you not think anyone else would believe you?” He asks.
You shrug. “Maybe Rex?”
It was only a few moments ago that you found yourself wanting to tell him everything. He’s easy to talk to. That still surprises you.
Kix smirks knowingly and you roll your eyes.
“Focus please.” You try to hide the flustered expression that is inevitably on your face right now.
“I’m just saying-”
All of a sudden, you and Kix are interrupted by a random 501st trooper as the door slides open and he looks between you and Kix, clearly embarrassed and thinking he walked in on something going on.
“I was looking for towels-” The trooper explains, apologetically.
“It’s alright. I was just leaving…” You look at Kix. “I’ve gotta find Rex.”
A bad feeling settles in your stomach as you quickly walk out of the closet, finding the exit to the building with the only thing on your mind being saving Hardcase.
The moment you wake up, you groan into your pillow with frustration and try to will yourself back to sleep. To no avail, of course. “Goddammit.” You murmur, concern automatically coursing through your body.
All this stuff that’s going on in your “dream world” is starting to take a toll on your body. As you sit up, you feel tense, as if you’d been nervous all night. Stretching your aching limbs, you look over at your clock and realize it’s almost noon. Which means you’re running late for your lunch with your mother.
With a quick restless groan and one last stretch, you practically throw yourself out of the comfort of your bed and race around your room, throwing new clothes on and then running to the bathroom to brush your teeth and hair. You very quickly pull it back and then grab your coat and bag and head out.
Debating whether or not it would be quicker to walk or catch a cab. It’s only a couple of blocks away, and knowing noon traffic in New York, it probably has to be quicker to walk/run.
Your phone starts ringing the moment you get into the elevator. When you pull it out of your bag, you see that your mom is calling. Knowing you’re about to get an earful for being late, you debate on sending it to voicemail and just texting her an apology. But then you’ll have to hear about that when you get there. So you answer.
“Hello, mother. I’m so sorry-”
“Should we just reschedule when it's convenient for you?” She snips.
“No, mom… I’m sorry, I just overslept is all…”
“I’ve been sitting here for thirty minutes. There are people staring at me, probably thinking I’ve been stood up. By my own daughter, no less.”
You roll your eyes. “I didn’t stand you up, mother. I’m literally on my way.”
“How far away are you?”
This angry, irritable version of your mother is completely different than the one who had been singing to you the last couple nights. If you weren’t used to it, perhaps you’d have whiplash. But nope, this has been your whole life.
“Maybe 10 minutes.” You tell her as you get out of the elevator and start walking out of your building.
Cool air practically whips you in the face and brings tears to your eyes as you see there’s still lingering snow on the sidewalk.
“Have a good day!” Your doorman, Frank, tells you.
“Thank you, Frank! You as well. Tell Marla I said hello!” You grin.
“Will do, sweetheart.” He kindly tips his hat toward you and you start practically sprinting down the street.
“Who’s Frank?” Your mother demands.
“My doorman.”
“And Marla is?”
“Frank’s wife, mother.”
“He seemed a little too friendly with you.”
“Oh good grief, mom… He’s been the doorman for my building for longer than I’ve been alive. His wife bakes me cakes for my birthday.”
“Oh good, your father just got here.” She doesn’t even listen to you, which gives you a premonition on how lunch is going to go. “We’ll see you when you get here.”
She hangs up on you and you shake your head, putting your phone back into your bag and then walking briskly the rest of the way there.
When the restaurant comes into sight, you see your mother and father in the corner window and start to wave, thinking they see you. Luckily the pedestrian sign turns green and you start booking it across the crosswalk.
Unfortunately, the last thing you hear is “LOOK OUT!” from someone behind you and when you turn to look, a car is speeding through their red light.
And then you squeeze your eyes shut.
You’re hyper aware of your shut eyes, of the darkness. Everything feels fuzzy. Are you breathing? You take a breath. It doesn’t feel quite necessary though… You need to wake up. You can tell that much.
So wake up.
You open your eyes but it's immediately too bright. Like a bright white light.
Oh great… I’m dead. Wonderful… You think to yourself. What happened?
You rub your eyes until you can stand the light again, finding that you’re standing.
Weird, but okay.
There’s a white end table that looks like the one beside your couch at your apartment. On it sits a single picture frame. You stare at it, inspecting the silver frame. It’s a picture of you, your mom, and your dad on your fifth birthday. You look genuinely happy and excited, smiling wildly at the large birthday cake in front of you lined with at least a hundred candles.
Who makes a little kid blow out a hundred candles? Your mother who had to make sure you had the best birthday in your entire pre-k class.
Raising your hand to pick it up, something stops you.
No… not something.
Someone. Someone’s deep, soothing voice.
Rex.
You’d know that voice literally anywhere. It sounds like he’s right next to you, and you can’t quite understand what he’s saying, but a deep ache fills your veins. You miss him terribly.
You turn around to throw your arms around him, but find that you’re standing in a familiar, yet unfamiliar doorway. You’d recognize a medbay a mile away.
“Come back to me, cyar’ika…” Rex’s soft voice pleads. “There’s so much I need to say to you… so much I didn’t get to tell you.”
You look at your vitals up on the screen beside the bed you’re lying unconsciously in, confused. Did something happen here to you? You turn back around and no longer see the picture frame.
Instead, you see yourself in a hospital bed, your parents next to you and then it all comes back to you.
The crosswalk… The car.
You don’t understand… How are you looking at two versions of yourself? Where are you? Why are you seeing two versions of yourself?
But deep down, you think you know…
You have to choose right now. You don’t exactly know for sure what that entails. If you choose one, would you eventually be able to go back to the other?
There’s only one way to find out, isn’t there?
You take one last look at your mother and father asleep in a couple chairs next to your hospital bed and then walk the other way.
When you wake up, the lights are still a little bright. But you can see Rex’s face perfectly next to yours.
“Rex.” You murmur, taking his hand.
His eyes widen with relief and he swiftly stands up, over you, hugging you to him. You can’t help the warmth that spreads from head to toe at the touch of this man as you notice that he’s not wearing his upper plastoid armor. His chest is so warm and firm that you can’t stop yourself from placing your hand over where his heart is and breathing in his familiar vanilla and warm ocean breeze scent.
“What happened?” You ask, you look up at him.
He pulls away, slightly, his brows still furrowed with concern.
“Kix said that the two of you had a conversation and then you went to go find me… You passed out again. But this time, you weren’t waking up at all. And then you started to crash, but Kix got you stabilized. That was three days ago…” You can see that it's difficult for him to talk about it.
It’s beyond clear to you that he really cares about you and you’d be lying if you said your entire heart doesn’t do a somersault at the realization.
“I’m not going anywhere for a while now… okay?” You try to assure him.
“See… what does that mean?” He scoots down to the chair so he can fully look at you.
“You’ll think I’m crazy if I tell you.” You murmur, noticing the way his thumb is brushing over your knuckles.
It's almost intoxicating, the effect he has on you. An effect no man has ever had on you.
“I could never think you’re crazy.” He flashes a soft, amused, smile and your chest tightens at the sight.
And with a smile like that, how could you deny him? So, you tell him everything that you told Kix. Every detail, aside from the tv show bit.
After a few moments, Rex lets out a breath. “Wow…”
You expect him to pull away, call you crazy, and leave. But he doesn’t. He continues brushing his thumb back and forth across your knuckles in an almost hypnotizing manner.
“I know…” You murmur. “So, you don’t think I’m crazy?”
He lets out a soft, amused snort. “We live in a world where a certain type of people have powers and run around with laser swords. I don’t think anything is outside the realm of possibility anymore.”
A soft laugh escapes your lips. “Okay, good point.”
It’s quiet for a moment before you look around and see that you’re in a medbay somewhere.
“So, where are we?” You ask him.
“We’re back on the Jedi cruiser.” He looks toward the doors.
“And Umbara…?”
“We won. Krell is imprisoned.” He smiles.
“And Hardcase?”
His soft smile widens a bit. “Hardcase is okay. He has a few burns and bruises, but he’s expected to make a full recovery.”
Relief floods your entire body.
“And the 212th?”
“All perfectly fine.” He promises you.
You let out a relieved sigh and close your eyes, bringing your hand to your chest.
“You’re sweet to care so much, you know… It’s one of my favorite things about you.” He admits and your chest tightens.
“Rex, I-” You smile, but are interrupted by Kix’s cheery voice.
“She’s alive!” Kix comes to your bedside, opposite his brother.
“I’m alive.” You nod, a smile still on your lips.
At least you think you’re alive. You’re still not quite sure, yet.
“The boys have been hounding me about seeing you. I told them not until you woke up and only if you felt like it. I can make them go away, just say the word.” Kix tells you.
You let out a playful sigh. “Send ‘em in.”
Kix nods with a playful smirk and turns to walk out.
“I’ll let you visit.” Rex tells you and you start to protest, not wanting him to go. “I’ll see you tonight, I promise.”
He smirks down at you as he brushes your hair off your forehead. And before you have time to process that, he kisses you on the forehead, making your eyes flutter closed for a moment.
A simple, yet meaningful enough gesture that your chest tightens. You’ll never forget it.
He throws you a quick wink and makes his way out of the medbay just as four large men in 501st blue armor come filing in, already rowdy and clearly excited to see you.
“Look at you!” Fives’ voice booms, making himself comfortable next to you as he slings an arm around the top of the bed. Hardcase and Tup sit on either side of your feet while Jesse stands at the foot of the bed, checking your chart on the data pad.
“How are you really?” Jesse asks you, concern laced in his tone.
“I’m fine.” You assure him, a wide grin unable to leave your lips.
You still can’t believe that this is your new life.
“Thank the Maker.” Tup pats your foot.
As you look around at the four men, you’re overcome with so many emotions and feelings, with acceptance and belonging coming in right at the top of the list. You feel like you’ve finally found a place you belong.
But at what cost?
“How’s your head?” Hardcase asks you, grinning.
“I should be asking you that.” You smile as you take in his patches that are covering his burns.
He chuckles. “My head is always loose, so nothing out of the ordinary here. In fact, I wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for you.” He pats your foot, appreciatively.
“Yeah, how did you know about the droid and the missile?” Jesse asks you.
You shrug, nonchalantly. “Just had a feeling.”
“Well, lucky for us that you had feelings.” Fives ruffles your head and Kix throws his hands up in the air with exasperation.
“Be careful with her!” Kix tells him. “She’s gone through enough-”
“Aw, come on, Kix. She can handle a 501st boy, can’t ya?” Fives elbows you teasingly and you give him a playful glare, going absolutely warm in the face.
“Alright. Visitation is over.” Kix starts to usher out his brothers. “She needs some rest.”
“Yeah, she does!” Fives grins. “Especially for later.”
Fire creeps into your cheeks with thoughts of a certain captain and his promise of tonight. “Later?”
“Yeah, when we take ya to 79s to celebrate you not being dead.” Hardcase says, a little loudly.
79s. The clone bar. The bar you’ve thought about many times throughout your multiple watches, always wondering what it would be like to get to see the men you care about let loose after their endless days and nights on the battlefield. They deserve to have fun and be carefree, for however long that may be.
“Is that okay Doctor Kix?” You smile.
How easy it is to tease and joke with him, as if you’d been friends for a lifetime and not just a mere few days. Now whether or not it has to do with the fact that you’ve watched the show countless times or because you’ve apparently had a whole life here before you “arrived”, you’re not sure. All you can do is go along for the ride, right?
He rolls his eyes with his signature smirk. “Sure. As long as you get some rest now.”
“You heard him, boys.” You shrug, teasingly.
One by one, each man files out after giving you some sort of well wishes. It’s incredibly sweet how each man cares for you, making you feel like you truly belong. You never had this sort of connection with people in your other life.
When they leave, you lay there for a while, listening to the low hum of the cruiser, still unable to believe that you’re actually here.
You’re in Star Wars… Wow.
The urge to get up and explore is strong. But you promised Kix that you would rest. And you can only assume you’ll be back on Coruscant soon, so there’s no point in upsetting him.
But still… you’d be lying if you said a part of you wasn’t afraid to go to sleep here… Will you be transported back into your other life? Or perhaps worse?
You lay there for a while, staring up at the durasteel ceiling as Kix comes in with a data pad.
“Oh, you’re awake.” He comes to the edge of the bed.
You sit up, crossing your legs. “I’m afraid to go to sleep.”
He nods, understanding. He and Rex are the only ones who would. “I made up this data pad for you. Information about you before you kinda popped into your own life here. And, your bag of clothes. There should be some civies in there.”
“Civies?”
“Non military clothes.” He chuckles.
He hands you the data pad and the bag, and you take them, touched at the gesture.
“Thank you, Kix. This means a lot.”
“I just… I have one question.” He murmurs. “How do you know what’s going to happen? You never said.”
You sigh, knowing you weren’t going to be able to avoid this question forever. “This is all a television show where I’m from.”
“Television?” He looks confused.
“Um… I think they’d be called like holo-shows here?” You try to make him understand.
“Why would anyone want to watch a ‘show’ about us?” He laughs.
You laugh with him. “Lots of people do. Lots of people care about the clones in my reality.”
He sits next to you. “Thank you.”
You nod and the both of you are quiet for a moment.
“Would you like a tour?” He grins.
“I thought you’d never ask.” You clap your hands together, excitedly.
Kix lets you run to the bathroom, apparently they’re called freshers, so you can change. You put your bag up on the counter and look inside. Sure enough, there’s a couple pairs of nonmilitary clothes that are your size exactly.
It still all feels… surreal.
You try not to dwell on it too much, afraid that you could accidentally go into what Kix called a mental breakdown a few days ago.
A few days… that’s how long you’d been knocked out here. It had only felt like moments…
Snap out of it. Get dressed. Think about something else. Literally anything else.
Rex comes to mind instantly. Someone who’s given you a sense of calmness in this massive storm. You can’t wait to see him again, you think to yourself as you get dressed and then exit the fresher, finding Kix looking down at his own datapad.
“Ready.” You smile softly.
He looks up at you, his smile matching your own. “How do you feel?”
“Better.” You nod.
“Good. Come on.” He nods towards the door and you follow him out into the hall.
As you walk down the long halls of the cruiser, you can’t help but stare at almost everything in awe. Kix points out the barracks, the mess hall, and the other medbays.
“You know, it might help if you at least try to act like you’ve been here for the last couple years.” Kix teases.
“I know, I know. It’s just… I’ve dreamt of this moment for… so long.” You confess.
“So you were… what do they call them?” He snaps his fingers playfully. “A fan?”
You playfully bump your shoulder into his. “Shut up.”
“I would ask who’s your favorite but it’s pretty obvious.” He teases again.
“Yeah. Obviously Fives.” You shrug with a smirk as you look in each room in the hall.
Kix laughs and then looks down the hall. You follow his gaze and see Rex, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano coming this way toward you and it takes everything in you to keep it cool.
You’d already seen Anakin the first day you were here, but now… it’s different. You know you’re not dreaming, and it feels more real.
It truly is like seeing a celebrity. You’ve looked up to these characters- people for so long. And now, here they are in front of you. Life truly did not prepare you for this moment.
“Generals. Commander.” Kix nods.
“Kix.” Anakin nods and then murmurs your name. “How are you feeling?”
“Much better.” You nod. “Uh- General.”
Kix and Rex share a knowing smirk.
“We owe you a thanks for figuring out that Master Krell was working against us.” Obi-Wan tells you.
You nod again. “No problem.”
“You know, you might be in the wrong profession.” Anakin chuckles.
“I agree, it seems like you could’ve made quite a career in espionage.” Obi-Wan compliments you with a half grin.
You laugh. “Well if there’s anything I can do for you… just let me know.”
“We will.” Obi-Wan nods and starts to walk away with Anakin.
Ahsoka gives you a wave and you wave back, still practically starstruck.
Rex stays behind and smiles down at you.
“I’ll see you guys tonight at 79s.” Kix grins and walks away.
For being told he was part of a tv show, he sure is handling the news well. Probably better than you would.
“Hi.” You smile up at Rex.
“Hey there.” He nods for you to follow him. “I want to show you something you’ve not seen yet… personally, at least.”
“Lead the way.” You follow beside him, unable to hide your smile.
Does he know you’d follow him no matter what? You chose this life not only to help save this galaxy from Palpatine, but also for Rex.
“How are you feeling?” He asks, softly, glancing down at you as you walk.
“I’m feeling a lot better.” You promise him.
It’s true. You don’t feel exhausted for the first time in a really long time. You feel more awake.
“I’m relieved to hear that.” He tells you.
You don’t realize where he’s taking you until you get to the flight deck. You look at all of the starships, gunships, and walkers, still unable to believe your eyes. When you walk up to one of the walkers, you feel along the side of it, the cool durasteel making you smile.
When you look back at Rex, he’s giving you an amused smile.
“What is it?” You ask, taking your hand away, self-consciously.
He shakes his head with a shrug. “You’re like a breath of fresh air.”
“Was I not before?” You tease.
He immediately becomes flustered, trying to figure out what to say.
“I’m just kidding.” You grin.
Rex lets out a sigh of relief and nods for you to follow him.
“This is what I wanted to show you.” He walks up to the ray shield and that’s when you see it.
The dancing blue hues of hyperspace. Your lips part and a small gasp escapes as you grab onto Rex’s arm, unable to look away from it. You're feeling something so profound that words just can't convey.
“Oh my god. It’s even better than I imagined it would be.” You think you practically have tears in your eyes. “It’s so beautiful.”
“Sure is.” Rex murmurs.
Except he’s not looking up at the hyperspace lights. He’s only looking at you.

Can you please do one with fives and general Krell’s padawan 👀 Like at first he’s a bit hesitant of her but she’s actually super sweet and not like Krell at all, but is constantly pushed around by her master. Of course, he develops a crush on her and gets a bit protective 🤭
Not me LITERALY about to write an umbara fic when I got this request. Thank you!
The Darkness
Pairings: Fives x older padawan fem! Reader
Summary: your master may be cruel but you are not, and you try your best to protect the clones from your master... but it might not be enough.
Warnings: mentions of past abuse, bruises, krell slapping reader, krell being a dickface. Sweet fives.
Word count: 2,952
“Are you ready padawan?” Krell’s sickly voice called out to you as you gripped the handles of the drop ship. You sucked in a deep breath, nodding your head. “Yes Master Krell.” You replied simply, wincing at the throbbing pain in your side.
Krell snorted, and soon the ship landed. You followed your master, staying close while keeping your head down. You heard many shouts and voices, only looking up as your master told Skywalker that the chancellor needed him back on Coruscant. You frowned, staying silent.
Skywalker relinquished control to Krell, glancing at you, noticing the bruising on your arm which you quickly tried to cover up. Skywalker narrowed his eyes at Krell but sighed and left. you rubbed your arm, standing beside Krell as he talked down to the troopers. You could see them growing agitated, and you couldn’t blame them… though perhaps you could take some of the anger away.
“Master Krell? i agree with the clones- we should-”
“I didn’t ask what you thought, did i Padawan?” Krell cut you off, glaring down at you. You could feel the darkness around him… You gulped. “No sir- but-”
“But nothing. You are here only to observe and do what I tell you, understand?” He asked, though with his tone he wasn’t really asking.
You nodded, once again, keeping your head low as you followed your master. “We’re changing the plan, we will do a full frontal assault on the main road.” He ordered. Though the captain, Rex, tried to argue, he quickly realized it was no use.
Krell turned to you. “You are fighting on the frontlines, i will guard the back with the supplies.” He stated, and you nodded reluctantly, walking up to Captain Rex, and who looked to be an ARC trooper. “Hello… i’m here to help.” You muttered. You could feel the Ark trooper’s eyes on you, but he didn’t say anything.
Captain Rex however, offered you a smile since his helmet was off, shaking your hand. “I'm Captain Rex, this is ARC trooper fives, and Jesse is talking with the other men.” He introduced, and you nodded. “I’m Y/n.” You spoke, glancing around after hearing shuffling from the bushes. “Alert your men, there's something in the forest.” You stated.
And like always, your senses were correct. Mines had blown up the road and killed many men, and right after Umbarans started attacking. You jumped in front of the troopers, igniting your dual bladed lightsaber as you blocked the firepower, redirecting it back at the Umbarans or just to the ground ahead.
“We need reinforcements!” Fives cried out as he shot at the treeline, You let out a huff, reaching out to the treeline as you used your force to find where the umbarans were, before pulling them out of the treeline. “Focus on your fire men!” You exclaimed, doing the same on the other side.
Before long you cleared the first wave, ignoring the pain in your arms as you checked over some of the less injured before returning to Fives, who gave you a little nod.
You had noticed that your master was back, and was shouting at Rex who was surprisingly shouting back. Krell went quiet for a moment, letting Rex win that battle for now. Another explosion sounds however, and your right back into the heat of battle.
But with Krell in front of you again, kill the Umbarans who attack you.
However they just keep coming and more and more of the troopers are losing their lives to an attack that was destined to fail in the beginning. You managed to set up a perimeter to defend, blocking blaster fire beside Fives and Rex as Krell spoke with Obi-wan. You didn’t hear what they said, but within moments Krell was right beside you, his hand squeezing the back of your neck.
“We will be attacking the nearby airbase. Regroup your little friends and we will head there.” He sneered. You nodded, and when he released your neck you turned to the clones. “Gather around everyone! please!” You called out, still blocking blaster fire. “Master Kenobi has instructed us to assault the nearby airbase.” You explained, Krell now stepping forward. “We will advance along the central gorge.” He stated, Rex however spoke up.
He argued that it would be safer to send a few men to scout ahead for a safer route, but Krell was adamant on his plan, his way. At the end of his order, the remaining clone troopers are divided into squads. You were frowning. There was nothing you could do, not without getting yourself killed by your own master…
You lowered your head, your body defeated.
In the meantime, Fives was arguing with Rex about the strategy, and how men were losing their lives because of this order. “His padawan is no help either!” Fived exclaimed, hearing Rex sigh. “Because she can't help fives! don’t you see how she flinches every time Krell speaks? or comes an inch closer to her? i don’t know if you noticed but every time her sleeves ride up i can see bruises in the shape of hand prints.” Rex seethed, Fives eyes going wide.
“What?” he asked, disbelief filling his tone. “He fucking hits his padawan?” Fives asked, Rex sighing in response. “We shouldn’t assume…” He trailed off, before clearing his throat. “Just- listen to me. You, myself, hardcase and Y/n will head down the gorge.” He stated, walking over to Hardcase and some other clones.
Fives sighed, but nodded, walking over to Y/n who was still blocking ocasional fire.
“Hey.” he greeted, and you spun to face him with a light but sad smile. “Hi.” You greeted, sliding down the trench that was built as you disengaged your sabers, clipping it to your belt. “Hungry? I've got some spare ration bars.” He offered, handing one to you. You grabbed it with a smile, thanking him softly as you took a few bites.
As you ate, fives noticed the bruises that littered your arms, and he frowned. “I’m sorry for my master.” You spoke up, looking at Fives as you finished the ration bar, wiping your hands on your pants. “At first he wasn’t like this… he used to be kind…” You trailed off, shaking your head. “I had been his padawan since I was a youngling, and now I'm twenty and he still hasn’t deemed me ready…” You huffed, looking away from Fives who was frowning.
“I’m sorry too.” He started, catching your gaze again. “I was being kind of rude to you… because of your master.” He added, hearing the soft ‘oh’ that left your lips. You then watched as he stood up, offering his hand to you.
You grabbed it with a smile, standing up again as you thanked him. “I’ll try and help as best I can…” She trailed off, but Fives shook his head. “I don’t want you getting more hurt than you already are, Y/n.” He pointed out, and your eyes went wide. He sighed, rubbing your shoulder gently.
“I won’t let him touch you, not here.” He stated. You offered a smile, pulling him into a quick hug which surprised him quite a bit. “Thank you, Fives.” You whispered, pulling away as Rex walked forward.
Soon you, and the other clones entered the gorge, you kept your lightsaber hilt in your hands, keeping your eyes open for any movement or sign of assault. And then it happened, caterpillar tanks burst out of the gorge and started attacking. You jumped from tank to tank, using detonators and your lightsaber to destroy the tanks. But heavy casualties were suffered.
More attacks, more arguments and you were starting to get fed up with your master. You heard him shouting at Rex, again, and you snapped.
You walked up to your master, gesturing for Rex to stand down as you glared at the besalisk. “Enough master! you’re sending these men to their deaths! if you take any more unnecessary risks you will have no men to fight for you!” You shouted, catching your master off guard. We follow Rex’s plan!” You shouted, knowing fives and Hardcase were already gone.
Krell seethed at you, but his anger is cut off as Fives and Hardcase return with the umbaran fighters. saving the lives of the rest of the pen, paving the way to the aribase.
You know as soon as you step foot inside the airbase you're in for a world of hurt as your master roughly grabs your arm, however before he could drag you off, Fives, Jesse and Harcase step forward, coming up with some bullshit excuse to force Krell to let you go.
He does, angrily, taking the chance to throw you to the ground despite the crowd. “At this rate, you will never be a knight.” Krell sneered at you before walking away. Fives slowly helped you to your feet, making sure you are okay before looking at Jesse. “She needs some bacta patches… Do we have any to spare?” He asked.
Jesse walked over to Kix, who managed to spare some bacta gel, Which would be enough to help with the bruises.
Fives led you to an empty room, closing and securing the door as he walked over to you. You had already removed your top robes, and started removing the second pair which revealed your ribs, which were heavily bruised. “That man is a monster.” Fives growled, kneeling in front of you with the bacta gel.
You sighed, nodding for him to start applying the gel despite your winces of pain. However the bacta worked fast, and that pain faded to a dull throbbing. “I know…” You trailed off, cheeks flushed slightly at the clone's gentle touches.
“I’m sorry for what he’s putting you and your men through.” You added, staring into his eyes as he rubbed the gel into your bruised arms. He sighed. “Rex is doing his best… but Krell just has it out for us!” Fives exclaimed, and you sighed sadly. “Unfortunately I think you're right…” You trailed off.
eventually Fives pulled away, and you slid your robes back on, leaving the top robe off. “You should get some rest Mesh’la. I can have a clone stationed outside, to make sure Krell doesn’t come sniffing around.” He said, and you smiled at the man. “I would really appreciate that… wake me up if anything major happens.” You requested softly, watching with a smile as he nodded and left the room.
You allowed yourself to lay down and rest, letting the bacta do its work on your bruises. Eventually you drifted off to sleep, worry plaguing your dreams.
-
The next time you woke up you heard shouting, even if it wasn’t close by. You felt more energized than you had been in a while, checking your bruises which were almost entirely gone. You smiled, mentally thanking Fives before you made your way outside.
A lot of troopers were arguing amongst each other, but when they saw you they had almost immediately rushed over to you. “Jesse and Fives are being court martialed!” One of them exclaimed, and your eyes widened in horror. You booked it from the hanger, making your way into the control room to see Krell and Rex arguing.
When Krell saw you he growled. “And where have you been?” He asked, and you glanced at Rex before speaking. “It wasn’t Fives and Jesse's fault! I was the one who did it.” You blurted, not entirely sure what the men did. Krell glared down at you, getting closer and closer until he was towering over you.
But you held your ground this time, standing tall as you glared at him.
“Then you will be executed alongside them.” He sneered, and your eyes widened as he grabbed your lightsaber before grabbing you by your hair, hauling you down to the prison before he threw you into the cell with Fives and Jesse. Both men caught you before you could hit the ground, Fives smoothing your hair down as he helped you to your feet.
You offered him a smile, nodding to Jesse in thanks before you turned to look at your master. “You kill me and the council will discard you.” You argued, walking up to the ray shield that prevented you from leaving. Krell huffed. “Not if I tell them you tried to kill me.” He said, turning and walking away.
You growled, turning to look at Fives and Jesse. “I'm so sorry.” You whispered, Fives stepping up to you as he pulled you into his arms. “This is not your fault.” He argued, and you allowed yourself to relax in his arms.
Soon, You, Jesse and Fives are taken out to a firing squad led by Dogma, you stand beside Fives, glaring at Dogma. However Fives spoke up, trying to appeal to the clones in front of him. Unfortunately, Dogma still commands the clones to fire… and they do.
but Neither you, Jesse or Fives end up dead. It was quite the opposite. Dogma tries to order them to fire again before turning to Rex who was already glaring at Dogma. “Good luck getting anyone to do it.” He stated, before ordering for you and the two men to be released.
You rub your wrists once they’re free from the cuffs, but no later Krell had you thrown back in a prison cell. Unbeknownst to you, but Krell had turned the clone battalions against each other, and many more clones died from firing upon each other.
Rex had released you from your cell much later, Fives keeping you close as the clones finally revolted against Krell for treason against the republic. You aid the clones in chasing Krell through the forest after he escapes from the control tower, when you're stopped by Dogma you simply move him aside with the force and allow one of the clones to arrest him before continuing on.
Umbara had been so chaotic, and so full of losses. You were done, done following a master who only wanted to lead men to their deaths. Eventually with the help of the clones you manage to detail your master, bringing him back to the brig of the airbase.
You stand in front of him, wanting so desperately to wipe that smirk off his face.
“Why?” You asked, crossing your arms over your chest as you stare at him. Krell laughs slowly. “Oh padawan… I knew you could never embrace the darkness… you've always been weak.” He hissed, glancing at Rex with a smirk. “I foresaw the rise of a new order, a better one. And I would gain power from it. So- I abandoned the jedi… I planned to sabotage the republic by giving sensitive information to the Umbarans..” He trailed off, revealing that he did all of this just to become Count Dooku's new apprentice.
You growled, grabbing your lightsaber hilt as you ignited the blade, pointing it towards him. You keep Krell at saber point as troopers enter and inform Rex that Krell had indeed sabotaged communications, and that Obi-wan secured the capital. But now Umbaran forces are heading this way.
You look over at Fives, who nods to you when you hear Rex mention that Krell is too dangerous to be kept alive. Krell taunts him, and you. But even if Rex hesitates, you don't. You raise your saber above your head before slicing down, cutting Krell’s head off.
You watched as it rolled by your feet, however you kicked it away grabbing Krell’s sabers with a sigh. “Darkness is a plague, Krell… you should have avoided it.” You mutter, clipping his saber to your belt as well as your own as you turn to Rex. “Time to face the republic.” You stated, and rex nodded.
Fives walked up to you, gently grabbing your hand to catch your attention. He smiled at you, and you reciprocated. “I'm proud of you.” He said, his heart warming upon hearing your laugh. You leaned into the man, pressing a kiss to his cheek. “I had help.” You muttered, throwing him a wink.
Soon you met up with Obi-wan, and you handed Krell’s saber to him, along with a recording of Krell confessing everything he had done to sabotage the empire. Obi-wan thanks you, and brings that information to the council.
You know you have to stay to clean up, now without a master you're not sure what will happen. You're talking with a few clones when you feel someone tap your shoulder. You spin around, spotting Fives, Rex, Obi-wan and Cody, with Cody holding a hologram of Mace Windu and Yoda.
You bow immediately. “Master Windu, Master Yoda. A pleasure.” You greeted, seeing them both smile. “Heard of your bravery, we did. Heard of the abuse you suffered as well, from Krell.” Yoda spoke up, and you frowned when he mentioned the abuse.
“What we are saying, Y/n, is that you have passed your trials. You have earned the rank of Jedi Knight.” Mace Windu spoke up, and your eyes went wide. “What?” You asked, shaking your head before you smiled. You knelt down as Obi-wan stepped forward, and he congratulated you before cutting off your padawan braid.
Freedom.
It was all you felt in that moment, freedom to be who you wanted to be without Krell breathing down your neck. You thanked the council, and obi-wan before turning to Fives who was smiling at you. You shot him a wink, which he happily reciprocated.
You were free… and now you could explore what friendship had blossomed between you and Fives. Though you could tell it wouldn’t be much of a friendship.

Scars (Commander Wolffe x Jedi Reader) Part 8
Words: 1.3k (Shorter chapter than normal) Warnings: None that I can think of ... sorry to the Wolffe fans out there, he's really having a tough time of it. Pronouns Used: She/Her, Use of (Y/N).
“You did what?” asked Fox, needing to be sure he’d heard Wolffe’s explanation correctly. “You’re lucky it was just her com she yeeted and not you along with it,” he added, a serious tone to his brotherly voice. Soon enough, a sigh escaped his lips; the paperwork involved would be torture, and on top of that, there was little doubt the Coruscant Guard would be charged with finding the now missing Jedi.
“You’re not helping,” growled Wolffe, once again confronted with his conflicted feelings. The kiss hadn’t been intended yet; still, it haunted him more than anything prior to it; the words he’d spoken after weren’t any better. He thought he’d been relieved she was gone, but instead, he felt even more guilt than before. He’d hurt her perhaps even worse than those a part of her past had.
“I wasn’t trying to,” simply replied Fox.
“What are you doing?”
“Contacting General Kenobi and Skywalker; if anyone’s gonna find her outside General Plo, it’s those two,” spoke Fox, setting himself on the immediate task of finding the missing Night Sister. After all, he knew the fear others had; he knew others were scared she’d one day turn back to her dark side roots.
“I’ll help,” Wolffe volunteered, feeling the need to correct his mistakes, even if that meant sacrificing what little downtime he had. “The boys are fond and won’t rest until she’s found.”
“You’ve done enough,” harshly responded Fox. Although it was instantly clear he regretted them, he still did nothing to soothe the situation. “The Jedi are afraid, Wolffe. (Y/N), is the daughter of a Sith lord. They’re afraid she’ll rebound and turn back to her roots,” explained the Marshall Commander, revealing just a little bit of what he knew. “They’re afraid if she falls to the dark side, she’ll become far worse than Dooku; after all, she was more of a reason to hate some of them.”
“More of a reason?” Wolffe asked, once again suspecting there was more to her history than met the eye. Plo had hinted at it on several occasions when one of the boys asked, and several other Jedi had, too, even if (Y/N) herself dodged or changed the subject when it was brought up.
“Let's just say most of the Jedi Council monumentally failed her,” said Fox in response, recalling when he’d stumbled across the information, it had been with things sent over from the Chancellor's office. When Fox had questioned it, the answer had come from the Chancellor himself, making it clear the information hadn’t been put in there by accident but to prepare the Guard in case anything happened. “She trusts them even less than they trust her.”
“Commanders,” politely interrupted Obi-Wan. Anakin was at his side with his own Padawan. Just behind them were Commander Cody and Captain Rex, and both of them appeared prepared for the task likely already set before them. “Master Plo will be joining us shortly,” announced the Jedi Master, a soothing tone to his voice, although he was momentarily distracted by Anakin. No doubt he was attempting to sense (Y/N) if only to make the search that little bit easier.
“She’s still on the planet, although making it difficult to track,” spoke Anakin, quickly determining she was likely using her own power to block him and anyone else who attempted to track her via the force.
“Sorry to interrupt; I’ve sent a message to her unit. One of them is a tracker,” called Cody, recalling working with the elite unit before. They were unpredictable but effective. They got the job done no matter how dangerous it was and always seemed to have fun while doing it; the more threat to life, the more competition there was between them. “They’re young and reckless, but they’re loyal to her.”
“What caused (Y/N) to run?” asked Ahsoka, noting that it was out of the ordinary for any Jedi to hide unless they were given the order to. Although even she would admit, (Y/N) did seem to have more freedoms than a normal Jedi Knight would. She got away with far more, including ignoring direct orders from the council, so much so they had come to expect it from her.
“The past, Snips,” replied Anakin, suspecting that Maul's recent reappearance had triggered memories and feelings she had spent over a decade trying to push away and bury. Brought the hurtful past, she’s tried to run from bubbling back to the surface. “For over a decade, she believed her father was gone, only for him to reappear and be on the warpath. She’s lost, conflicted, torn between who she was and who she wants to be,” he explained, knowing her trouble; he’d be the same if his mother suddenly came back from the dead. Like (Y/N), he hadn’t let go of his past; he couldn’t; instead, like her, he’d buried it.
“Either way, we must find her fast,” said Obi-Wan, recalling the recent council meeting. The latest intelligence had only brought forth concerning news. While Maul was on a revenge tour against those who wronged him in the past, Savage searched for (Y/N), no doubt, to reunite father and daughter again—or at least unite what remained of the bloodline. “We won’t be the only ones looking for her.”
“It would be best if we split into groups,” announced Plo upon his arrival, his voice calm and even as normal. “Commander Fox, go with Ahsoka and (Y/N)’s enhanced unit; search the lower levels around where she was last seen,” he added, suspecting (Y/N) would be far more open to being found by Ahsoka than any other Jedi. “Skywalker, take your captain and a small group of the 501st, search the underworld levels, Obi-Wan, the upper levels, around the old factories. I’ll take the Wolf pack and search her old hiding spots.”
“I don’t think I’ll be that much help, General,” voiced Wolffe, his miss-matched eyes downcast now. “I’m the reason she ran away in the first place. Me being involved in the search will only anger her further,” he added with regret flooding his voice; he could still remember the hope fading in her eyes; the image had all but burnt itself into his memory now as if a means to torment him further and punish him for his stupidity.
“On the contrary, Commander, you were the last person to see her, outside the civilians who offered tips to her whereabouts. Whether you hurt her or not doesn’t matter; finding her before she becomes any more vulnerable does,” spoke Plo, speaking as if a father rather than a Jedi. He knew (Y/N) had let her hurt, anger, and feelings of betrayal out on Wolffe, but he’d not be the sole reason for it. For years, she’d struggled with her past and overwhelming feelings; Wolffe’s words had just been the breaking point. “You are not to blame for (Y/N) going into hiding. I doubt she blames you, either.”
“We’ll rendezvous here in a few hours; in the meantime, keep in communication,” spoke Obi-Wan, suspecting the task at hand would be far more difficult than either of them wanted to admit. After all, few could sense how (Y/N) felt when she was a padawan; she had a unique ability to deflect her feelings and hide them by reflecting another’s emotions back at them; as for tracking her, even for the Jedi, that had been an impossible feat, although many had questioned whether her ability to block them was a natural Night Sister ability or a concerning dark side one.
“And if we find her?” questioned Ahsoka, suspecting the Jedi Knight wouldn’t come easily. (Y/N) had run for a reason; she’d hidden her struggles for so long many didn’t even see it until now when they were powerless to help her and when she appeared to be in far more danger with her vulnerability than even she realized.
“Try to convince her to return to the temple,” replied Anakin, even when he knew (Y/N) would refuse, even if Master Plo was the one who stood before her. “Only stun if necessary; just beware, (Y/N) is highly trained, and she will fight back,” cautiously added the Jedi Knight, recalling all the times the pair trained together growing up. Despite his skills in lightsaber combat, he’d never successfully defeated her in a duel, although he’d learned a fair bit.

You couldn’t breathe.
Your mouth filled with cold water, flooding your taste buds with salt and dirt. Shouting wasn’t possible as you tumbled under the harsh current. It threw you, disorienting your senses. At some point, you dropped again into another running body of water. A smaller waterfall, you guessed.
Your back slammed into what you assumed was the bottom of the river.
An iron grip on your arm yanked you upward, letting your head breach the surface to take in a lungful of air. Despite getting your face above water, it still tried to ragdoll your body under the current.
That same grip continued to pull you, and once you got your bearings, you started kicking your legs. You opened your eyes, barely making out Rex’s blue and white armor treading the same dark, cold water. His presence grounded you, and it was like everything snapped together all at once. You moved your hand, holding his tightly as you both fought against the heavy current to get to the edge of the river.
Your feet hit smooth stones and allowed you to stabilize. With your boots on the ground, you and your Captain stumbled out of the freezing rapids.
Once you were out of the dangerous clutches of the current, you fell to your knees, breathing heavily.
Rex did the same, pulling off his helmet to cough up water. As he tried to get his breath back, he hit his com, “G-General Skywalker…” He croaked, only to be met with static. After getting no response, he pressed it again, “Commander Tano…?”
Static.
You lowered your head, swallowing. Coms didn’t work…
Of course they didn’t work.
After a stretch of silence, you spoke, “Are you hurt?” Looking around the two of you, you took in your surroundings. You both had surfaced in another cavern. This one had large silver shards protruding from the walls, ceiling and floor. Glowing moss and mushrooms lit up the area, so you weren’t entirely blind.
Rex perked up, moving to stand and offering a hand to you, “No, I’m not….Are you?”
You took it and stood, giving him a small smile, “I’m good. Let's…find a way back.”
He nodded, putting his helmet back on, “Stay close. We don’t know what might be hiding in the damn walls.”
You nodded and followed, brushing a hand over one of the massive metal fragments. Unsurprisingly, they were cold. Almost icy to the touch. If you had to guess, the water you and Rex tumbled in had come from the surface.
As the two of you walked through the underground paths, the Captain would periodically check his com, hoping to get a connection to the General or Commander.
As you navigated the tunnels, the metal shards began to be replaced with more of the coral like stone, moss and glowing mushroom plants. Crystal embedded in the ceiling gave a soft light, looking more like stars than gems.
It was…rather pretty.
You reached up, hand brushing over a white, glowing lily speckled with black. However, once you touched it, the flower closed suddenly and shrank into the rock it was growing out of. There were more up ahead and they grew in number, the further you and Rex walked.
The underground tunnel opened up into a chamber that was more grotto than cavern. The air echoed with the running water of a stream. Moss, patches of grass and flowers replaced the cold rock of the ground. Vines, with small glowing berries, hung from branching stalagmites and protruding crystals on the wall. Small bugs, which lit up with a soft golden white light, danced around both you and the clone beside you.
“Woah…” Your eyes were wide, taking in the rather beautiful area. You stepped forward, raising a finger to one of the glowing bugs. It landed gently on your nail, flexed its wings and hovered off to continue its flying, “It’s…beautiful…”
Rex was looking at you as you spoke, however, you didn’t notice, “Yes…I agree.” He continued onward, trying not to stare too long, “let’s…let’s continue.” clearing his throat, he tried his com again.
Among the static, you swear you heard Anakin’s voice, “Rex…Collapse…Where….” Rex tried to respond, but was met with more broken distortion.
“The General must be close, if we have a connection.” You perked up, walking over to him.
“We should still try and find…” The Captain's voice faded off, watching a butterfly with large, bioluminescent wings hover close. He raised a hand to try and swat it but you grabbed his fingers, halting him. it approached, landing softly on his visor. The beautiful bug fluttered its wings a couple of times before going still.
You couldn’t help the small giggle that escaped your lips.
He cleared his throat, “Now, uhh…little bug, that’s…I can’t see.” Slowly, he raised his free hand again, letting the glowing butterfly walk along his palm, “There we go, buddy.” After a few more moments, it beat its massive wings again and got into the air.
For a second, you forgot you were holding his hand. You didn’t want to let go, even after you began walking again.
He was the one who pulled away.
You tried not to let it bother you. Though, it did.
You’ve realized that your ‘passing crush’ was more than that. There were true, deep feelings for the captain in your heart. Something you couldn’t shake, no matter how hard you tried.
You wondered when these feelings began.
Was it the time he helped you with your aim?
When he was the one who got the others to sign a card after Ferrum’s death?
One of the many times he thanked you after you bandaged his wounds on the battlefield?
Or maybe it was when you first saw him smile. When you saw how warm and lovely he looked when he did so. When he smiled, a true, happy smile, he wasn’t the 501st captain. He was Rex.
You loved Rex.
And it ruined you. Clones weren’t permitted romantic partners. Even if he had the same feelings, neither of you could pursue them. Not only was it against the rules, he was your Captain, and you were his legions doctor.
You walked behind him, watching his armored back. He was a soldier. A good soldier. He’d never break the rules to be with you.
So you swallowed your feelings and followed his steps.
The grotto was bigger than you originally thought. It took more than 20 minutes to get to the other side to look for a way forward. You brushed aside some vines, revealing another tunnel. It was pure darkness save for those glowing star-like crystals that dotted the walls and ceilings. The small amount of illumination reflected off multicolored stone.
When you and Rex stepped forward, it was like you were walking inside the galaxy.
“I can see why the Drosari like living in the tunnels.” the clone beside you spoke quietly, “Though, as pretty as all of this is, I’d like to no longer be underground.”
You let out a small chuckle, “If there wasn’t the threat of a cave-in, I might like it here.” Your hand ghosted over the crystals in the wall, “These caves are beautiful.”
“I agree, but I think I prefer to have a solid, metal ship around me rather than rock.” Rex responded, shrugging slightly.
“You prefer a Venator ceiling over an open sky?”
“Well,” He grazed his palm over a cluster of gems that reflected soft purple light, “Other than Kamino, It’s all I’ve ever known as a home.”
Your heart twisted in your chest and you turned to look at him. You couldn’t see his expression through his helmet when you asked your question, “What would your ideal home be?”
“What?” He seemed surprised by your question. After a few beats the Captain answered, “Truthfully, I haven’t thought about it.”
“Not even a little?” you asked, walking beside him, “When the war is over, where would you like to go?”
“We’re not made to think like that.” Rex took off his helmet, and turned to look at it in his hands, “We’re soldiers. We were made to fight. It’s why we age twice as fast, so when the fighting is done, we…don’t stay for too long.”
You swallowed, throat tightening.
“And…what if you didn’t age twice as fast?” Your voice shook slightly before you cleared your throat to speak, “You could choose anywhere to live. Where would it be?” Without thinking, you rested a hand against his arm.
“I don’t know.” he sighed, “Why does it matter?”
Your words were stubborn, “Because what you think matters to me.” You don’t know why his answer mattered so much to you. Even in the low crystal light you could tell he was confused by your pressing.
Rex blinked, “I’m a clone, doc. You don’t need to-”
“You're more than a clone to me.” you stepped forward, getting closer to him, “And you're more than a soldier…”
There was a flick of emotion in his gaze. His eyes reflected the small illuminating crystals, making them look like amber with stars trapped inside.
By the galaxy, his eyes were beautiful.
He swallowed, looking back at his helmet before meeting your eyes, “I suppose I’d want to…have my home wherever you are.” The nervousness was clear in his tone. And you could feel ever so slight shaking from his arm.
Your heart hammered in your chest as you got closer. With a trembling hand, you raised it to his cheek.
Rex was tense and frozen in place, looking at you. His gorgeous eyes were a storm of anxiety and uncertainty. His small confession was honest but most likely terrifying for him. He was created and raised to be a soldier, and he was in unknown territory now.
He wasn’t taught anything more than warfare.
You held power over him, intentional or not. He was a clone. In the eyes of many he was property with no thoughts or feelings. A droid to take orders, nothing more. He wasn’t allowed rights or liberties.
So you gave him the power to choose what he wanted.
“Rex?” You whispered his name, breath ghosting his skin, “Can I kiss you?”
The Captain nodded slowly, “Yes…Please…”
You’d most likely be his first. His first kiss. His first romantic partner. His first…everything.
Gently and slowly, you leaned forward, connecting his lips with yours. It was tender, soft and chaste. But it held so much emotion. The only reason you pulled back was to breathe, but he chased you slightly, following your lips.
The Captain blinked his eyes open, meeting your gaze. His helmet dropped to the ground, and his palms were on your cheeks. This time, he initiated by leaning forward and kissing you. It was an uncertain kiss, but one that still spoke with so much feeling.
“Gar cuyir ner kar'ta.” He whispered, once you both broke away to breathe properly.
You smiled, leaning against him, “Gar cuyir ner cyar'ika.”
Rex laughed softly, pulling you to kiss you again.
…Until you heard the clearing of a throat.
You and the Captain jerked away, eyes wide, coming face-to-face with General Skywalker.
Anakin was standing at the other end of the cave, one eyebrow raised and a satisfied grin on his face. His arms were crossed, and he seemed way too pleased. Like a Loth-cat in a sunbeam.
Fives was next to him. You could tell by his posture that his jaw was dropped in his helmet.
“G-general!” Rex saluted, “I-we…”
“I knew it,” the Jedi’s grin didn’t falter as he spoke, “Like I said a long time ago, Rex. All of my men are free to pursue whatever relationships they want. I won’t tell a soul. Neither will Fives, right trooper?”
After a second, he nodded, “r-right. Yes sir! I won’t tell anyone. I promise.”
The 501st captain let out a relieved sigh, “Thank you, General…But…may I ask, how did you find us? Our coms have been cut off.”
“I had to use the Force,” He responded, turning to face the exit of the tunnel, “I wasn’t going to leave my most loyal captain or talented doctor to wander around some caves. Now come on, we still have a mining operation to stop.”
You shared a look with your cyar’ika before he put his helmet on to follow. You kept close to him, feeling pure happiness in your chest.
Cyar’ika….
You liked calling Rex that.

Fives + Overcharge
Fives x gn!reader (no use of 'y/n' and no pronouns). Romantic.
Word Count: 2,700
Warnings: self-doubt, mentions of lack of payment for clone troopers, ridiculous fluff, mild extortion
---
“Ooh, there he is!” your coworker Lanji whispered as she walked past you. She did a little shimmy, turning her movements into a dance as her head-tails swayed. The pretty Twi’lek was a favorite in the GAR’s mess hall, and more than a few troopers paused to watch her graceful actions.
You didn’t have to ask who Lanji was talking about - the trooper came into the mess for almost every meal when the 501st was on Coruscant. Of course, he didn’t have much of a choice. The GAR provided this food. Troopers were welcome to take their meals elsewhere, but they were responsible for covering the cost. That was tricky for beings who weren’t getting paid.
So you saw a few hundred similar faces every day working in the GAR’s Coruscant mess hall. It was a simple job and you liked it. Maybe it was a little silly, but you liked knowing that you were helping the Republic, even in something as basic as making sure the troopers were fed. Besides, your job gave you a different perspective on the army fighting against the Separatist droids.
It didn’t hurt that some of the troopers took the rare opportunity to interact with a civilian and used it to flirt. One of the most frequent offenders was a trooper named Fives.
Fives was a born flirt, and he was good at it. He had a line for every job you could possibly do around the mess hall, everything from compliments to more… suggestive options. He was handsome, too. All of the troopers were, but there was something about the way his humor shone across his face and intelligence burned in his eyes. And he was loyal, if you were to judge from conversations you had half-overheard between him and his brothers.
But you kept yourself from melting too obviously around him. Someone like Fives flirted as a habit, not as a way to start a relationship.
“There’s my favorite GAR employee!” the man himself crowed, breaking you out of your internal reminder not to overthink this.
“What gives, vod?” the trooper beside him asked, laughing despite the false outrage on his tattooed face. “So much for having my back.”
“You’re not an employee, Jesse,” Fives explained patiently. “Employees get paid, remember? Employees get credits. We just get paid in gratitude.”
Jesse nodded understandingly while you choked on air. You hadn’t been expecting Fives to do an impression of Chancellor’s Palpatine’s quavery voice, much less for that impression to be remarkably accurate. “Is- Uh, is this everything?”
“Yep,” Fives told you, leaning against the hip-height counter between you. He glanced you up and down in a leisurely study. “Unless you want to throw your comm frequency in. Or maybe a little more than that… Don’t you have a break coming up, sweetheart?”
He flirts with everyone, you reminded yourself sternly. Don’t take it seriously or you’ll look like an idiot.
“Nope, sorry,” you told him with a cheerful smile. “Just finished a break, actually. I don’t have another on this shift.”
A sly glint entered Fives’ eyes. “That’s okay, maybe we could do something more time-consuming. When are you done tonight?”
Your breath caught in your throat. This was more than simple flirtation, right? This was an actual invitation. Wasn’t it? Or were you misreading the situation again? He flirts with everyone…
“Fives, stop harassing people,” a stern voice cut in. When you glanced over, you spotted the tired face of Captain Rex. The captain lifted the loaded tray in his hands. “I have work I need to get back to.”
“Okay, Captain,” Fives agreed cheerily and you felt a little flat. If it had been an invitation, he didn’t seem too concerned with the interruption from his Captain.
You finished recording all of the items on Fives’ tray and offered him a smile. “You’re good to go.”
Fives picked up his tray but paused, leaning in to inspect the screen displaying the list of everything he had taken. With a comical look of suspicion, he glanced over at you, brown eyes dancing. “That looks a little steep. Are you sure you aren’t overcharging me?”
This was more familiar ground, and you found yourself relaxing. It was the line Fives used every time he interacted with you at the checkout area. You faithfully delivered your lines from the little script the two of you had subconsciously developed, offering the response you always did: “You don’t pay for any of this, the GAR does.”
“Just trying to be responsible with the Republic’s credits,” Fives told you. As always, the answer was given with a winning smile.
Unlike every other time, his playful manner was undercut by a loud groan from the line that was forming behind Fives and Jesse. “C’mon, vod, some of us want to eat today.”
Jesse shifted his weight nervously. “Fives, maybe we should-”
“I know, I know,” Fives grumbled. He glanced back at you, reluctance written across his handsome face. “Hope I’ll see you soon, sweetheart.”
And then he was gone, leaving you to work your way through the long line that had formed. The dinner rush kept you so busy that you didn’t have time to be flustered about your most recent encounter with the 501st’s famous flirt.
When everyone was through the line with only a few grumbled complaints aimed your way, Lanji came back to your register. She made as if to jump up and sit on the rail that lined the checkout lane, but you gave her a warning look. Your manager was never happy when people sat on the rail and you had ended up scrubbing it for an hour last time. Lanji stopped herself, leaning against the rail instead.
“So?” she pressed, the delicate pink of her closer head tail curling as if to implore you for information. “What did he say?”
“I don’t know who you’re talking about,” you told Lanji stubbornly, pretending to dust your workstation.
“Fives, obviously!” she replied, far too loud for comfort.
You hurried to shush her, but no one had taken any notice. The noise of the troopers in the mess hall was louder than anything less than a shout. “He asked me when I’m done tonight.”
Lanji squealed, and that was loud enough to attract some attention from the dining room. You shushed her again, but she paid no attention. “And? Where are you going? Do you have time to change? I have some clothes you can borrow. Not that you don’t look fine in that, but you’ll want to dress up for a date-
“We’re not going on a date, Lanji.”
Her rose-colored face scrunched in confusion and disappointment. “What? Why not?”
“Because he didn’t mean it,” you reminded her, trying to take your own explanation to heart. “Fives flirts with everyone.”
“He doesn’t flirt with me,” she countered. Despite yourself, you had to admit that it was a good point. Everyone flirted with Lanji. She wasn’t done, however: “And I’ve asked around. He doesn’t flirt with anyone else here. Just you.”
There didn’t seem to be an answer to that. Lanji, to her credit, didn’t rub your speechlessness in your face. Instead, she just gave you a victorious smile and strutted away.
You were working the evening shift that night, and with the dinner rush past, you didn’t have much to do but think and mindlessly clean until it was time to close the mess hall for the night. One by one, your fellow mess hall workers left for the night. You were the lucky one who got to stay, finish the tasks that needed attention, then program the droids to do the overnight cleaning.
By the time you had completed your work, it was almost ten and you were more than ready to leave. It had been a long day, but it was finally your day off.
Which made it all the worse when you stepped through the GAR’s front entrance and realized you had left your ID badge inside.
“No… No, no!” you chanted, frantically patting at every pocket you had as if that would make the slim card materialize once more. It didn’t work and there was still no sign of the badge. When you paused to take a breath, you could picture it resting neatly next to the recorder screen of your workstation.
It was the perfect storm of consequences: you couldn’t get back into the building without the ID. If you left it there, the cleaning droids would read it as garbage and dispose of it since no lost items were meant to be kept at the checkout counter. The GAR charged over two hours of pay to get a new badge, and those were credits you didn’t want to part with.
And yet, you had no real options. All of your coworkers were already gone and you had no ability to program the droids to leave the card where it was. By the time anyone arrived to help, your ID would be long gone.
When you let out a singularly self-pitying groan, you heard footsteps and the sound of your name in a familiar voice. “Are you okay? What happened?”
It would be Fives, honestly. You forced a smile, though it felt more like a grimace. “I left my ID card inside. The cleaning droids will throw it away. And I can’t get inside without my ID card.”
Fives’ brow furrowed, but you shrugged before he could say anything sympathetic. “My own fault. I know better. This is gonna hang over my head all day tomorrow…”
“I’ll get it for you,” he offered.
You stared at him, unable to fight the surge of hope behind your ribs. The feeling deflated only a moment later when you realized the flaw in that idea: “The cleaning droids lock down the mess hall. You won’t be able to get in.”
Fives winked at you. “Let me worry about that.”
And then he was gone, slipping in through the heavily guarded main door. You took a moment to be jealous of him - the troopers all had access to the building literally encoded into their bodies. That had some horrifying implications, but it meant that they didn’t have to worry about ID cards or the potential of losing them.
You waited nervously outside of the GAR building for a long time… Far too long, actually. Even accounting for your own racing thoughts, you stood there long enough for Fives to have reached the mess hall and come back a handful of times.
As you stood staring fruitlessly at the entrance where Fives had disappeared, you tucked your hands into your pockets and wished you had thought to bring a thicker jacket. It wasn’t necessarily freezing outside - the nature of Coruscant’s climate control tech meant it couldn’t be dangerously cold - but that didn’t stop the shivers.
Fives had clearly been caught by someone or something. Was he in trouble? Worse yet, what could you really do about it? You couldn’t get into the building. That had been the problem in the first place.
You were muttering curses under your breath and kicking at random debris on the duracrete sidewalk when the sound of the door opening behind you made you whip around. Fives reached to steady you - unnecessary, but the warmth of his hands was welcome.
“Oh, you’re okay!” you told him, sounding breathless even to your own ears.
Fives furrowed his brows. “Yes? Why wouldn’t I be?”
“You took so long…” you explained, feeling sheepish. When you pulled your eyes from his face, you noticed that his hands were still on your shoulders and you shrugged them off.
“Yeah, sorry about that,” Fives said. For a moment, you thought he was apologizing for his grip on you, but realized that he wasn’t nearly as preoccupied with it as you had been. Embarrassing. “I ran into one of my brothers, and he wanted to come along.”
“Did you get it?” you asked, sparing only a glance for the other trooper who stepped out of the building behind Fives.
“Yeah!” He sounded victorious. “Took Kix and I a little time to get around the droid lockdown, but we figured it out.”
After a moment of fishing in his pocket, Fives held up the small square of your ID and the tension disappeared from you. “Thank you so much, Fives! I don’t know what I would have-”
But Fives pulled the ID away as you reached for it, holding it out of reach. “Ah, ah. I think I deserve some kind of payment for such a good deed.”
Much as you hated to admit it - because it was a fair request, all things considered - your opinion of Fives dropped slightly at that. You sighed. “I have a few credits I can give you, but I can’t spare a lot.”
“I don’t want your money,” Fives told you, sounding insulted. “I want something cheaper but much more valuable for my payment. Just one little kiss.”
“A kiss?” you repeated blankly. Your heart was suddenly pounding, and you only hoped that he couldn’t see it in your throat. At the risk of sounding too eager, you filled your tone with suspicion. “A kiss where?”
“Wherever you like,” he replied, his eyes filling with something you didn’t fully recognize as he added, “Though I have a few preferences.”
You considered it, glancing at the other trooper to give yourself some time. Kix, you were pretty sure Fives had said. It was hard to tell for sure - Fives seemed to be the only trooper who had chosen to tattoo himself with a permanent label. “Aren’t you supposed to talk him out of stuff like this?”
Fives made an offended sound while Kix scoffed. “No one can talk Fives out of anything. Especially when he’s this determined.”
That made you smile, and you beckoned Fives closer. With a grip on his chin - in case he decided to do something cute that would probably make you fall in love with him - you held his face still so you could kiss him on the cheek. Admittedly, it did land a little closer to the corner of his mouth than you meant it to, but nothing that looked too suspicious.
When you pulled away, Fives looked a little dazed. He handed you the ID badge without further comment. You had tucked it safely away before he spoke again: “Your hands are cold. Let me take you for a cup of caf.”
“Fives, you don’t want that,” you said softly, hating the disappointment laying thick in your voice. “It’s fine to flirt with people and not follow it up with anything else. It’s okay - you don’t need to pretend you want something more. You’re just a flirty guy.”
Kix made a strangled noise before he gave in and laughed. Fives sent a betrayed look his way and he shrugged. “Sorry, vod, but that’s pretty accurate. You do like hitting on people.”
Your stomach sank at the confirmation of your suspicions. “Like I said…”
“Wait,” Fives pled. Despite your instincts, you turned to face him again. “I like you. I have for a while. The only reason I didn’t ask you out before was that… well, I didn’t think you would say yes. I thought flirting would be good enough. But it’s not. I want to go out. I want to talk. I- I want to know more about you and tell you more about me. So? What do you think?”
“You were really flirting with me?” you asked, feeling a little stunned.
“Yes,” Fives confirmed with a miniscule nod. “I wouldn’t have kept flirting if I wasn’t interested.”
Kix snorted and Fives glared back at him for a moment. “Okay, I might have kept flirting. But I wouldn’t have stopped flirting with everyone else.”
“Then I guess there’s only one problem,” you concluded.
“What?” Fives asked, looking distinctly nervous.
---
You raised a single brow and crossed your arms. “A kiss for my ID? Are you overcharging me?”
Fives beamed at your joke. “Sweetheart, compared to what I wanted to ask you for, that was the deal of the millennium.”
Author's Note - I'll admit, I struggle with Fives' characterization, but I love him and I'm pretty happy with how this turned out!

I am one of the authors participating in the @cloneficgiftexchange and the person I had the wonderful pleasure of writing for is @embeanwrites 💜💜 Her Clone of choice was Tech...which admittedly, was hard to write for after the recent finale, but I got through it and hopefully, this will be heartwarming enough for Em as well as all of you to make you forget about all that at least for a little bit 😊
Hope you like it, my dear!! 💜
"Logical"
Prompt: "You could've died! Did you even think about what that'd do to me?"
Pairing: Tech x gen neutral reader
“Tech! We’re pinned down! We need air support!” you heard Hunter cry out on comms as he and you ducked behind cover to avoid getting shot.
You and Clone Force 99 were trapped due to an influx of Imperial fighters flying around and trying to shoot at all of you from above. You all sought cover behind some pillars of the base you had infiltrated, hoping to wait out the attacks, but the fighters kept coming and were not letting up. Tech was still back at the Marauder on standby as backup while you were waiting for Captain Rex for a pickup.
“Hang on, I’ll draw their fire away from the base,” you heard Tech respond in your helmet comm.
You activated your comm and replied, “No, Tech, don’t! There’s too many of them! They’re going to overpower you!”
“There’s no time. It’s the only logical solution,” he said back. “Captain Rex is on approach. Be ready for extraction.”
“Tech!” you cried into the comm with worry.
Though just then, the Marauder came zooming overhead, flying in front of the Imperial ships and nearly clipping the wings of one of them. As it soared away in the opposite direction, you saw a lot of the other ships starting to change course and turn the other way to follow after Tech, shooting at the ship. Your heart was pounding in your chest, fearing for Tech’s life. You didn’t doubt that he was a skilled pilot, but there were a lot of Imperial ships on his tail and even he had his limits.
Activating your comm again, you pleaded into it, “Tech, please, don’t do this! You can’t outrun them! Just get out of here!”
His voice came back through, “Negative. If their attention is not diverted, they will compromise the success of our mission. I will hold them off as long as I can. Don’t worry about me.”
Just as he said that, a shot from one of the ships made a direct hit on the Marauder and its flight pattern faltered slightly, causing your heart to jump up into your throat.
You were in love with Tech. You had been for some time, but could never find the courage to admit your feelings. The two of you had a close bond, at least, and he knew you cared about him, but he just didn’t know the full extent of them, as far as you knew. He was extremely intelligent, maybe he already knew. Though, he also processed thoughts and feelings differently than most people, so there was also the possibility that he maybe had no idea at all. However, if he were to get shot down now, he would never know the truth.
“Tech!” you screamed just as you felt someone take you by the arm.
“Rex is here! Come on!” Echo cried out, tugging you back with him.
“There’s nothing we can do for Tech, (Y/N). We need to go,” you heard Hunter say to you on your other side. “He knows the rendezvous point. He’ll meet us there.”
When you turned around, you saw that Rex’s ship had indeed arrived, but you had been so fraught and consumed with terror over losing Tech that you hadn’t even noticed it was hovering above you and there was a line hanging out of the entryway where Rex was looking down on all of you, motioning for you to climb. Wrecker gave you a boost up to the wire and you along with the rest of the Batch climbed to safety.
You could only hope that Tech was safe, too, wherever he had flown off to.
Quickly, you all retreated to your rendezvous point on the other side of the planet, waiting for Tech to arrive. Minutes passed by and with every second, your anxiety began to spike more and more. Where was he? Why was he not back yet?
“Why hasn’t he come back?” you asked aloud nervously as you paced the platform.
“He’ll be here. Don’t worry,” Hunter reassured you.
“But I am worried, Hunter!” you blurted out. “I…can’t lose him.”
He came up to you and laid his hands on your shoulders. “I know,” he simply said.
When you looked up at him, there was an expression of understanding in his face. Did he know how you felt about Tech? If anyone from among the squad were to figure it out apart from possibly Tech himself, it would’ve been Hunter. You weren’t sure of how to respond to him, so you just turned away and resumed pacing back and forth, hugging your arms tightly.
Time continued to pass; time that made you feel as though your insides were twisting and eating themselves out of worry. The sun was setting as evening was approaching. What had happened to Tech? It had been too long.
“He should’ve come back by now,” you commented, your voice choking.
Finally, Hunter took out his comm and spoke into it, “Tech, come in. Where are you? Tech, do you copy?”
There was silence.
“Do not fret, Hunter. I am approaching the platform.”
The sound of his voice almost made you fall to your knees with relief. Just after that, you heard distant engines and then the shape of the Marauder came into view on the horizon. Tech was okay!
Within a minute, the ship landed and you could tell it had definitely taken a few hits to the exterior hull and possibly one of the thrusters was damaged. Though, as soon as the ramp lowered and you saw your beloved goggled Clone exiting the ship, all your worries about the ship disappeared immediately.
“You made it,” Wrecker observed as Tech made his way over to all of you.
“Of course, I did,” Tech replied, adjusting his goggles. “The ship took substantial damage, but not enough to impede my piloting. I managed to shake them in a highly mountainous area close to the base and I escaped.”
“Nice work,” said Hunter. “The ship’s going to need repairs before we head out, but we’ll deal with that tomorrow. For now, let’s all get some rest.”
He turned back to Rex and thanked him for his help. Rex saluted them gladly and before long, he departed their company. After that, the rest of the squad got back onto the Marauder with Echo electing to keep the first watch. Once all the boys were in their bunks, you stormed into Tech’s bunk. Now that you knew he was okay, you needed to have a word with him…or several words.
He looked up at you, having stripped down to just his blacks, a bit startled as you walked into his room and the door closed behind you. “I do believe you have wandered into my bunk by mistake, (Y/N),” he stated.
“Oh no, this was no mistake, Tech,” you said back. “What were you thinking back at the base?”
“I was utilizing the best solution for completing the mission,” he answered.
“Putting your life at risk? There were a lot of Imperial fighters back there!” you cried out.
“I was not concerned about that. I managed to do exactly as I said and drew them away,” he simply said back.
Your teeth clenched and your hands curled up into fists of frustration. “For someone so smart, you’re still not getting it!” you exclaimed. You strode up to him until you were directly in front of him. “You could’ve died! Did you even think about what that’d do to me?”
For once, Tech was rendered speechless.
Then you blurted out, “I’m in love with you, you idiot, and I thought I was going to lose you today! I can’t go through that again!” After that, unable to stop yourself, you grasped the front of his blacks, pulled him forward and crashed your mouth into his with desperation and need. You kept your kiss brief so as to not startle Tech too much; or at least, more than you probably already had. When you pulled back, his eyes were wide with surprise.
He cleared his throat and adjusted his goggles. “I see,” he replied after a moment. You were about to yell at him for such a casual response to your confession and your kiss, but then he spoke up again, “I will admit: I had not taken your feelings into consideration earlier. I was focused on the mission to consider much else. However…I was also unaware of how you truly viewed me. You had not said anything on the subject before so I was under the impression that we…were only friends and there was no other underlying factor behind your fear on my behalf.”
That, you knew was on you because he was right: you hadn’t confessed your feelings and so he couldn’t have known how his decision would affect you. “Well…I’m saying something now,” you said back to him with a sigh, hoping he would catch on and give you some sort of answer in return.
He looked down at you and, with a slight newfound confidence, he stated, “Then the only logical reply on my part is this: I must now declare that your affections are requited for I too have strong feelings for you...feelings I had struggled for some time to understand until this very moment.” He reached up and ever so slightly traced your cheek. “What I feel for you is indeed love. I cherish every glance I receive from you, every word you speak to me, every moment you laugh and every second you smile. You have a genuine heart that is kind and generous. What I believed was simple fondness and adoration, I now realize was something more all along. I just needed you to open my eyes.”
Nothing in the world felt as wonderful to you than that very moment, hearing such heartfelt words of love from Tech, which was something you never expected. He was not always a man of such flowery language, but it appeared he could still surprise you.
His hand came to rest on your cheek as he then asked you, “My darling…may I return the gesture and bestow a kiss on you?”
With a huge smile forming on your lips, you answered him, “Tech, you never need to ask me that.”
That being said, he leaned down and brought his lips to yours, gentler than you had done previously. With how lovingly he kissed you, you felt as though you could sprout wings and fly as high as the Marauder that he was so good at piloting. It was far better than you could’ve ever dreamed of.
When the two of you came apart, you said to him, your lips just hovering above his, “If you scare me like that again…it’s not the Empire you’re going to have to worry about coming after you.”
He responded, “That notion does indeed strike fear into my being.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at his reply…a lovely sound that brought an endearing smile to Tech’s face.

This was a little idea that I came up with for some reason but yeah.
“Ad’ika”
Summary: Fives have been patronizing you for the last couple of rotations with a word in a language you don’t understand. Now you’ll stop at nothing to figure out his little game.
Paring: Fives x GN Padawan Reader (PLATONIC WOOO)
Warning: none :) please try to enjoy
Word count: 902 This was meant to be a drabble but long then I expected, but shorter than my normal fics… if that makes sense
Notes: giving myself a pat on the back for actually proof reading something. Thank you thank you *bows*

Fives laughed as he practically draped himself over Echo's shoulder, he knew exactly what he was doing.
"Just tell me Fives!" You shot your hands up, running them quickly through your hair. Fives for the past few rotations started calling you a name in a language you didn't understand which was very unfair.
Ad'ika.
It has been haunting you since Fives started.
You knew some words in Mando'a but this was not one of the limited few.
A smirk flashed across his face again. Echo rolled his eyes at his batch mates actions knowing it was stupid to peeve off a Jedi.
"Echo come on." You tried him for the 100th time. "At least tell me it's nothing bad."
"It's nothing bad." Echo simply said looking from you to Fives.
"Then tell me!"
Fives only shook his head before looking down to his comms. "Maybe after training, which your going to be late for." He shot a finger up silencing your next thought, then jabbed towards the door the doors.
You took one last desperate glance at Echo which he only replayed with a shrug. Heavy footsteps stomped through the halls and out of their ear shot.
"Are you ever going to end their misery? I'm sure by tomorrow they're going to be threatening you with that lightsaber." Echo glance back at Fives as he now decided to get up once you were gone.
"Maybe." Fives said with a laugh. "I'm already in too deep, I said it on accident once but it's kinda growing on me." He bumped shoulders with Echo as they walked out into the halls.
"Besides it's making all the vodes very happy to have just a little fun keeping a small secret."
"And to be calling them that." Echo added as they both turned without thought to the barracks.
You dodged out of the way as you felt the air of the punch that Anakin sent right against your cheek.
The small training room aboard the Dominator wasn’t ideal but between missions it was perfect, or even to clear up some thoughts.
Anakin sent another kick that barely missed grazing your side. You could hear the load inhale that came from the Captain watching
“Y/N what’s going on today?” He asked in between punches and kicks. “Your distracted- I can barely hear myself think.”
With a grunt you sent another kick towards your master which he easily blocked. “Fives is driving me up the wall.” You said with a breath.
“What’s new? Welcome to my life.” Rex added from the wall he leaned on. “What did he do this time.” Anakin finished for him, bringing the sparing to a stop.
“He keeps saying something to me that I don’t understand. Every cycle I hear it but he won’t tell me, none of the men will.” You slide down the wall to the dusty mat that covered most of the floor.
Rex let out a small chuckle before Anakin joined you on the floor. “Well what is it?”
You leaned your head on the wall before answering. “Ad’ika.” The new language felt weird on your tongue. “Do you know it master?”
Anakin glanced at Rex before looking back at you. “Fives is calling you that?” He asked with a smile growing on his face.
“Yes! All the men are. Do you know what it means?” Your eyes lightened up looking form Anakin and Rex. Maybe finally you’ll get answers.
Anakin along with Rex started to laugh, clearly something about your misery was amusing to them.
“Well since Fives asked me not too I’m sure the general would be perfect to let you in on their little game.” Rex put his hands up in surrender as he joined the pair on the ground.
Rex watched as Anakin leaned over and whispered in your ear. You snapped your head towards his direction with a questioning look on your face.
“Are you sure?”
“I’m more than sure Y/N.” Anakin said with a smirk. “I’ve definitely heard Rex say it before.”
It made perfect sense now.
An old mission where you and Fives were in a Saloon when someone asked who you were- it rolled right off his tongue just as easy as his name did when introducing himself.
In the dead of night after a hard campaign- the comforting words seemed to wrap you up like a blanket.
All the times Fives has called you that seemed to be seen clearly through the light of day. They all came flooding back to you.
It seemed like a trance when you got up and walked away from the training room. Your brain didn’t really know where you were going but your legs did.
Around a corner, then another. You practically bumped into Fives as you turned into another corridor, the path to the barracks seemed engraved into your mind at this point.
“How was training Ad-“ Before he could finish his sentence you wrapped your arms in a rib crushing hug around Fives.
Caught off guard it took him a second to really register what was going on. “Is everything all right Y/N?”
You nodded into his chest, staying in his warm embrace for a moment longer before you said. “I like that name. Please don’t ever stop using it.”
You felt Fives give a little chuckle before he said. “I knew you would.
Ad’ika: Little one/ Son/ Daughter

Javier Escuella X F.Reader - It's never to late to repent (Part 6) 18+
You are very focused on your work. You carefully work on the sewing machine and give the fabric a nice pattern. The remaining part you would have to sew by hand, but that was the most beautiful part of your work. You had really developed a great passion for it and were making good money doing it. Javier had also gone about his work today. He had to travel to a customer in the town. For two weeks now he has been working to keep the client pleased. Javier was always pretty tired after work, but he didn't hesitate to enjoy the nights with you. He wanted to catch up on everything he had missed the last few years. He was also aware that the missed time would not return, but he made the best of it. In the last few weeks you had become very close emotionally, working together to deal with the pain of losing little Rose.
It was getting later and later and you felt that your eyes slowly but surely didn't want to work anymore. You had planned to finish the dress today, but it was time to take a break. Your stomach was rumbling with hunger and Javier would be happy if he could have dinner with you. You stretched your tired arms and legs, got up from your chair and felt an unpleasant pain in your tailbone. It was probably not a good idea of yours to sit on your butt for hours without moving. "Ouch, ouch…." Yawning quietly, you made your way out of your office and headed for the kitchen. A glance at the clock told you that Javier would be here any moment; and you weren't disappointed. You heard the door and then the footsteps approaching in your direction. With a smirk on your lips, you waited for Javier and barely a few seconds later, you already felt his strong arms wrapping around your belly and his warm body hugging you from behind. "Mhm, mi rosa… hey…" His face buried into the crook of your neck and you sighed comfortably as you closed your eyes. "Hey, handsome. How was work?" "Oh, exhausting. My client demands perfection." With a warm smile on your lips, you turn to him and wrap your arms around his neck, sighing contentedly as you look into his face. Javier's hands run tenderly over your back as your body is pressed close to his. "Then we should make sure you can relax a little tonight," you whisper sweetly, giggling softly as you begin to kiss his neck. Javier instantly closed his eyes, enjoying feeling your soft lips on his skin. You knew exactly which spot to kiss to make him weak.
Javier couldn't help but let out a lustful sigh and he bit his lower lip, moistening his lips with his tongue. "Y/N…" "Mhm…" As you unbuttoned his shirt, you heard his breath tremble with arousal. You smile against his neck, sliding your tongue over his skin and purring softly. "Relax, my love." "Oh, it's taking everything right now to stop me from fucking you rampantly on this counter!" Again you laugh so seductively, knowing full well that you were driving Javier out of his mind. His hands gripped your ass tightly and you gasped in surprise as he pressed you against the dining table, grabbing your chin to kiss you hungrily. His hands grabbed the straps of your dress and he pulled them down somewhat roughly as his lips moved down to your neck and there he bit gently into your skin, making you moan softly. His hands gripped the bottom of your skirt, lifted your leg and he wrapped it around his waist as he pressed you down onto the table. Your eyes were filled with lust as you lay on your back, looking up at Javier as he pulled off his shirt and tossed it carelessly into a corner before bending over you again. His dark eyes were filled with hunger, with lust and your heart was beating like crazy.
♦♦♦♦
You lay in the sheets, completely exhausted and yet so happy. You had spent hours making love in the sheets, enjoying each other's pleasure.
You lay completely relaxed on Javier's naked body, while his hands kept gently stroking your back. "I have to leave for Saint Denis next week, Y/N…" Saint Denis? Javier hadn't told you about that yet. "Really? Oh… that means you won't be there for at least a week?" "Yeah… I got a letter from my boss. He needs me there for a job." You sighed softly, but you could understand that Javier had no choice. However, you were proud that Javier worked so hard to support himself and to support you, too. "You know, Javi, I'm very proud of you. Really proud to say that my husband works hard for his money." Javier's eyes were filled with love as he looked at you and he stroked your hair. "Mi amor, you are a wonderful woman." With a smile on your lips, you leaned forward a bit to kiss him softly. "You know…" Javier sighed softly as he let his head fall back and stared at the ceiling. "It still feels awful to set foot in Saint Denis," Javier confessed. You couldn't agree more. You hadn't been involved in the robbery at the time, but Javier and Arthur had been stranded in Guarma at the time. It must have been a living hell for the men. You would never forget how badly hurt Javier had been when he had returned. You and Miss Grimshaw had saved him from having his leg amputated. His wound had been badly infected.
And they had lost Lenny and Hosea at Saint Denis. Hosea's death had been a great shock to you, because he had been a father figure not only to you, but also to many others in the gang. And Lenny? God, he had been so young. Had been way too young. The memories of Saint Denis were much more painful for those who had been present at that tragedy than for you, you knew that. "I know, Javier. It will always be in our memory. The beginning of the end…" "No, mi amor. The beginning of the end was when Micah joined us." "Yeah…" Wherever that piece of shit was, you hoped you'd never have to run into him again. And Dutch had better not cross your path again either. "Javi, let's not talk about the past. Let's leave it behind us." The young man smiled and suddenly turned with you so that you were lying under his warm body. With a contented sigh, you looked up at Javier, chuckling in amusement as you felt his hand on your skin. "There are more important things." "For example?" you asked with a cheeky undertone, biting your lip slightly as Javier's intense gaze slid over your naked chest. He playfully raised his eyebrows and then disappeared under the covers, making you laugh softly since you were a little ticklish after all. "Javier? What are you doing?" You got an answer pretty quickly as Javier made himself comfortable between your legs. You felt his dark hair between your thighs, panting in anticipation of what was about to happen. "Javier…" A sigh of pleasure slipped over your lips as his tongue slid between your labia, slowly and sensual. Closing your eyes, you let your head sink back into the pillows.
"But, Javi! You can't breathe like that!" With a soft laugh, you rip the sheet off him and he instantly looked up at you with a cheeky grin as his tongue slid pleasurably over your clit, circling it. "Oh, god… yes…" Closing your eyes, you let yourself fall back into the pillows once again, while Javier enjoys your sweet honey.
♦♦♦♦
It happened a few days later, when you were harvesting some herbs in your garden, when you heard a wagon. You knew it could only be John and you were still terribly upset with him.
"Y/N…" "What are you doing here, John?" You walk past him, not letting him interrupt your work as he tries to talk to you, following your every move. "I… listen, I'm sorry…" But you didn't say anything, you were way too upset and you didn't even feel like talking to him. If John was angry with someone, he could get really venomous and that's what Javier had felt. "Y/N! Now stop!" "I don't feel like talking to you, John! Go back to your ranch! Javier will be here in a moment and I'm sure he's not up for you either." John snorted and gave up trying to talk to you, obviously it was no use. "It had to be said, Y/N!" That's when you pause in your actions and you look towards John, your eyes narrowing. "What?!" "I want him to know that he let you and your daughter down! He doesn't deserve your pity, Y/N!" "Pity?! You think I'm with him because I feel sorry for him?!" Shaking your head, you could slowly understand Abigail's reason for leaving John. There had to be a reason, after all. "Javier was taken from me because Dutch and Micah brought us all to ruin! You still blame him for that? That he chose the wrong side? Fine! But that didn't give you the right to tell him about Rose! Why did you do that, John?! Do you want to ruin everything?!" And you could see that John was struggling with the right answer, which made you watch him with a closer look to see if you were right in your suspicion.
"Look, I'm sorry, I upset you, okay? I just want to get this clarified between us, Y/N." "I'm not going to forgive you that easily, John. You cruelly told Javier that his daughter is dead. That was evil of you and very, very wrong!" You turned your back on him and were about to go into your house without another word, but John gently grabbed your arm and held you back from it. "Y/N, please…" John liked you. He really liked you a lot and he didn't like the idea of you continuing to be angry with him. "John, just go." "I care about you…that's all…" As he gently touched your cheek, you frowned, moved your face to the side, and John immediately withdrew his hand. You were not comfortable with his touch, he had seen that.
"Hijo de puta!" Suddenly Javier came running toward you and he looked pretty angry. He walked right up to John and hit him in the chin with a clenched fist, knocking him to the ground. "Javier! Stop it!" But Javier had already hoped to teach John a lesson. He had really resented him for what he had done to Rose. "What are you doing here, John?" You grab hold of his arm and instantly the young man calmed down, yet he couldn't help givingJohn a contemptuous look. "Are you trying to turn Y/N against me, John?" "You can fool Y/N, but you can't fool me!" You couldn't stand the two of them arguing, because it wasn't going anywhere after all. "Stop it! Both of you! You're acting like children! It's over! What was, is done and it's over!" It hurt you that the two of them hated each other so much. Once they had been like brothers and you wished that their friendship would revive. But that would probably never be the case.
Without another word, you went into your house and slammed the door behind you. The two men looked at each other with hatred, and just for your sake, Javier left John alone. "The day will come when I will make you regret your betrayal, Javier." Javier stopped at the door for a moment, his hand on the doorknob, his back turned to John. "I should have left you to die back then, John." Back then, in the icy snow up in the Grizzlies…
♦♦♦♦
"I don't want to see John here anymore!" Javier was upset and he didn't like the thought of John approaching you. John would still convince you that Javier wasn't the right man for you, to keep you away from him and Javier wouldn't let that happen. "Javier, John is my friend. I'm mad at him too, but he only means the best…" You better not have said that, for Javier didn't like that at all and he looked at you, frowning deeply. "What? Are you serious, Y/N?" With a soft sigh you close your eyes, knowing you chose the wrong words. "Javier… I just meant that he's worried about me. And he wants to protect me." "Wow, okay, Y/N! He has to protect you from me? Is that what you're thinking?!" "Javier! Stop acting crazy! You know very well that I didn't mean it like that!" Was Javier jealous of Joh? There was really no reason to be. To you, John was nothing more than a good friend. "So I'm crazy? No, because I think this piece of shit wants to ruin everything between us! I've made mistakes, yes! But for God's sake, I've paid for it! I paid the highest price for it! Knowing that I failed as a father is the worst of all!" Javier was getting louder, and he was angry. Not at you, not even at John, but at himself. It would take him months, if not years, to process everything that had happened to him.
"I'm trying my best, Y/N! I don't need anyone trying to break what I'm building right now!" "Javier… oh, my dearest Javier. please…" Carefully you put your hand on his cheek, making him look at you and you could see so much pain in his dark eyes. "You know I would never let that happen. I know you… I know how much you're suffering. Please, try not to let your past destroy you. I beg you. Not now that I've found you again!" Javier slowly closed his eyes as he gently leaned his forehead against yours and wrapped his arms around you. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to yell at you…. it's just… Madre de dios… I don't know, I don't know myself what's been going on with me lately…" He buried his face in the crook of your neck and you held him tightly in your arms, soothing him as you gently stroked his dark hair.
****
"I think we got him; Javier Escuella." Three men stood not far from your house, binoculars in hand, they had been watching you all along. Men who had nothing good in mind and who knew exactly who Javier Escuella was. One of the men wore a full beard, had green eyes and was quite powerfully built. His name was Henry. Next to him stood a somewhat thinner, almost emaciated guy. He was missing several toughnesses, had straw-like red hair, and grinned dirtily to himself. He goes by the name of Sam. The last of the round was named Cole. The brain of the gang. He wore clean clothes, unlike his two comrades. Clean shaved and an attractive appearance. "Finally. After all these years. Angel Eyes will be very happy about this," Cole said. The men laughed quietly, unable to wait to give their boss the good news. "He'll tear him to pieces. We shouldn't keep him waiting long with the good news either." "Nah, we should hand Escuella over right away, Cole. And we'll divide his little whore between us." "We'll do no such thing. Angel Eyes said he just wants a report. After that, we'll see. You'll get your chance. In the meantime, you can go have fun with one of the whores in the saloon!" Cole pressed his binoculars into his hands before crossing over to his horse and mounting it. "Come on, let's ride back!"

About this blog: This is a side blog where I post reader inserts and other fanfiction. Below you'll find my master list and link to my tag list form!
I do post NSFW stuff quite a bit, so Minors, please do not interact with my blog. If you're an adult but don't like NSFW things, I do try to remember to tag it as "spicy lemons".
I never use the term y/n and always try my best to avoid any physical descriptions for the reader. I usually write gender neutral (GN) readers unless otherwise stated, however please keep in mind that I'm a cisgendered woman so said readers may be unintentionally fem-coded.
