It is truly a shame that Jack Harkness never got to meet Twelve.
#doctor who#twelfth doctor#jack harkness#captain jack harkness#do I mean this in a ‘Jack would go insane for a silver fox’ way or do I mean ‘Jack would go insane seeing Frobisher’s face’ way?#the answer to that question is yes#peter capaldi#torchwood

Alright so the first time the 456 came to earth they asked for like 10 kids (I don’t remember the number) and one of them got away so they only got 9 kids and they were like ok no big deal don’t worry we’re leaving in peace. From their point of view the humans didn’t respect their end of the deal and they were just fine with it? Did I miss something?
#456#children of earth#coe#torchwood#captain jack harkness#gwen cooper#Ianto Jones#john frobisher#alien abduction#(that last tag makes me laugh a lot)#seriously tho this doesn’t make any sense#no wonder they were so angry the second time#OH WAIT#NO WONDER THEY DIDNT RESPECT THEIR SILENCE DEAL WITH FROBISHER#they ratted him out first occasion because he didn’t respect them the first time#Torchwood headcanon I guess

I know there is something... very distracting going on with that last page, and believe me I'll get to it... but more importantly, the other shoe drops with Courtney... in issue number 5 of this book we were shown that someone had come to replace her, and there was a faint outline of an ashed body on the floor, and this is confirmation that it was Sat-Yr-9 who did it.
Now the elephant in the room.... yeah, Jamie is back, and they still have not got this dude some clothes, so he is once again just running around in his banana hammock, like man, someone needs to buy this guy some pants...

What is your favourite Doctor Who story?
TOURNAMENT MASTERPOST
synopses and propaganda under the cut
The Holy Terror
Synopsis
The TARDIS lands in a forbidding castle in a time of religious upheaval. The old god has been overthrown, and all heretics are to be slaughtered. Obviously it isn't the sort of thing which would happen there every day — just every few years or so.
Soon after the Doctor and Frobisher are hailed as messengers from heaven, they become vital to opposing factions in their struggle for power. But will they be merely the acolytes of the new order — or will they be made gods themselves?
Evil is growing deep within the crypt. And the pair soon find out that they will be lucky to escape their new immortality with their lives.
Propaganda no propaganda submitted
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
Synopsis
Chasing a metallic object through the Time Vortex, the Ninth Doctor and his companion, Rose Tyler, arrive in London during the Blitz. While Rose meets "Captain Jack Harkness", the dashing Time Agent responsible for bringing the object, the Doctor finds a group of homeless children terrorised by Jamie, an "empty" child wearing a gas mask.

One last one of these
Just for my own satisfaction as a Whovian, all of the Doctor Who characters that were submitted for the Fears (with addenda for ones I wish I'd thought of). Congratulations to Doctor Who for having the most unique character-to-entity matchups at 63, even without my last-minute additions!
Buried - Gatherer Hade from The Sun Makers (add.: The Pirate Captain from The Pirate Planet, for squishing down planets real small to fuel his empire, themes of literal pressure and financial burden.)
Corruption: Sisters of Plenitude from New Earth (add.: Charles Rigby from the novel The Eater of Wasps)
Dark: Vashta Nerada, Weeping Angels (add.: the creature from Listen, Ravus Oldeman from the novel Fear of the Dark)
Desolation: Ace McShane, Crispy!Master, Dhwan!Master, Weeping Angels (add.: the sun from 42, Pyroviles from Fires of Pompeii)
End: Clara Oswald, the Doctor (all incarnations, but I would've picked 11), the Foretold, Jack Harkness, the Kotturuh, Rory Williams, the Thijarians (add.: Weeping Angels, Ashildr/Me from The Girl Who Died/The Woman Who Lived, The Shroud from the novel The Shroud of Sorrow (makes you see the ghosts of the departed and mourned))
Extinction: Cybermen, Davros, the Macra, the Master (all incarnations, I would've picked Simm or Ainley), War Doctor (add.: Mavic Chen from The Daleks' Master Plan, BOSS from The Green Death, the Dregs from Orphan 55)
Eye: Donna Noble (add.: the Wire from The Idiot's Lantern, the warden from the novel Seeing I)
Flesh: The Absorbalof, the Adipose, Lady Cassandra, Simm!Master, the Boneless from Flatline, the Gangers (add.: Shockeye, the Androgum, and Androgum!Second Doctor all from The Two Doctors, Clockwork Robots from The Girl in the Fireplace and Deep Breath)
Hunt: Cheetah People, the Family of Blood (add.: Haemovores from the Curse of Fenric, the Judoon, probably like a couple dozen other aliens who like to hunt stuff)
Lonely: The Silence, Thirteenth Doctor, Weeping Angels (add.: Cybermen, the Solitract from It Takes You Away)
Slaughter: Beep the Meep, the Midnight Entity from Midnight, Sontarans, the War Lord from the War Games (add.: All of the other aliens from the War Games (kidnapping soldiers from throughout human history and forcing them to fight in an endless war), Ragman from the novel Rags (inspires musical violence and murder along the lines of class war))
Spiral: The Boneless from Flatline, Castrovalva, Clara Oswald, Edward Grove, the God Complex, Iris Wildthyme, the Land of Fiction, the Midnight Entity (add.: The Dream Lord from Amy's Choice, Dream Crabs from Last Christmas, The Celestial Toymaker (but only assuming Divided Loyalties is canon and he's basically the Distortion with one of the Doctor's schoolmates as Michael), The Wild Hunt from the novel Unnatural History)
Stranger: Autons, Cassandra, Clara Oswald, C'rizz, Eighth Doctor, Fitz Kreiner, Gangers, Izzy Sinclair, Josie Day, Kamelion, the Master, Plastic Mickey, Rory the Roman, Samantha Jones, Silence, the Slitheen, Tiffany Korta (add.: the Chameleons from The Faceless Ones, Frobisher, Zygons, the Robots from Robots of Death)
Vast: Bill Potts & Heather (add.: astonishingly enough, none that I can think of)
Web: Seventh Doctor (add.: WOTAN from the War Machines, the Great One of the Eight Legs from Planet of the Spiders, the suits from Oxygen, the Selyoids from the novel Dying in the Sun, the Players from the novels Players and World Game, Khameirian from the novel Option Lock)

[ID: Eight gifs of Torchwood. Lois Habiba is standing confidently in the front of a room which includes Brian Green, the Prime Minister of the UK, and Bridget Spears, Frobisher's PA. They watch her, shocked, as she says: "I'm afraid not, sir. Right now, Captain Jack Harkness, Head of the Torchwood Institute, is in the reception of the MI5 building. So you're going to stand aside, and let him do his job. And deal with the 456. Immediately. And, er... I think that's it." She smiles. End ID]
Torchwood has been recording all these meetings. And everything that’s been said around this table, every single word spoken by every single one of you, will be made public unless you do exactly what Torchwood says. Torchwood’s been destroyed.

If I can add another one to the OC's ask?
Padre Thompson, Chaplin at Tangmere.
Known as 'Beanpole' behind his back[First Name undecided]. Seems to the station open kind and willing to listen, very soothing company, will always. In actuality he's quite guarded and private about himself. Spends much of his time alone alternately grateful that his sons (12 and 16) are too young to join the RAF, and hoping the war doesn't last long enough for them to ba able to. He sees an element of familiarity between them and the pilots her serves... Appears in the first chapter of Tryptich
This is going to sound like a stunningly cheap shot, but I absolutely need the Padre to hang out with Captain Frobisher, so they can talk about their sons, religion, and the state of the world in general, hopefully (if the good padre is not teetotal) over a nice glass of scotch.

As others mentioned, Fraser would give up, chop down a tree, and make it furniture.
As for the others:
RayV
Ray V: Why would I pay for someone to give me an unassembled piece of furniture? That's just buying some wood and nails. I want an end table, not some scraps. That's like going to a restaurant and getting raw chicken and uncooked pasta? And I ask you, what kind of establishment would serve raw chicken and uncooked pasta?
Fraser: Well, that would be a grocery store, Ray.
RayV: You know what I meant.
RayK would try, fail, and have an identity crisis over it. Then listen to punk music and smoke while telling anyone in hearing distance how he didn't really need an end table anyway.
Thatcher has people who do it for her and either:
A. Gets a beautiful hand carved piece of furniture from a recently filled tree (Fraser) or
B. Gets said furniture assembled backwards somehow because the assembler is capable but too distracted by curling. (Turnbull)
The Captain also has others who could do it for him but he doesn't trust any of them and so does it correctly himself.
Bob. Bob is half the reason Fraser can't assemble IKEA furniture. Also, he's a ghost which is a bit of a problem.
Duck Boys. Solely no, but together yes!
Buck Frobisher. ...50% chance if success, 50% chance of something deeply weird happening.
Im just gonna come out and say something wildly controversial:
Francesca Vecchio can assemble IKEA furniture and Benton Fraser cannot.
Francesca's methods are unhinged. She doesn't look past the first page of instructions, she gives all the pieces names ("Pass me Bob." "Bob who?" "Bob. You know, that Bob!" "The screw?" "Whatever, Bob, screw, I need it." "Why Bob?" "It looks like a Bob."), she fights with Ray the whole time ("You're doing it wrong!" "I am not!" "It says here that-" "Those are only suggestions!" "It's the DIRECTIONS!!!"), and yet somehow it isn't only perfect but idk somehow has an extra drawer or other bonus feature.
Meanwhile Fraser falsely accuses Deifenbaker of stealing pieces.
