people will complain with their whole entire chest about Ivy "just being Harley's girlfriend now" and you look up Ivy on their account and the only time they've spoken about her is to bitch about her dating a woman Harley under the guise of "missing the old ivy"
no y'all don't, shut up, we can see you. you've never given a shit about ivy. you don't care about her or how she's "not an eco-terrorist anymore" cause if you did care, you'd not be complaining rn 💀 but sorryyy that her essentially cannibalizing Woodrue in #6 isn't "fucked up in the head" or "villainous" enough for you, but lbr if her actions throughout the first 8 chapters of her 2022 comic aren't Bad enough, then I hate to break it to you but I think you actually just have a problem with gay people and Ivy openly being in love with a woman:)
and that's a skill issue. a you problem. get therapy, loser.

Everytime I open this app I'm cursed to run into Tim Drake haters who are bitter and loud about Tim apparently stealing their favs of whatever 🙄
And you know what? I get it. I'd also be mad if fandom found more interesting the canon relationships Tim has to plenty of villains and heroes than the ones of my fav 🤭. Thankfully Tim is my fav, and I laugh at them thinking calling Tim "white" somehow reduces Tim's character.
Tumblr media
(It's also very funny, as Tim Drake HAS been implied to be poc by many artists and was played by a poc actor in Titans live action. But I suppose it's the same case as with Selina and Lex, where jealousy makes people delulu.
Plus, even if they cry about it, it won't change all the love Tim gets from artist, writers and others in fandom ❤️)

Don't know the full details other then the parts that upset people so bear with me.
Jon got sent to the future, I believe his parents thought he was dead but like a week later he's back but he's a teenager and apparently was in the future. People didn't like this because Damien wasn't aged up as well so it kind of ended Super Sons.
After this Clark has to go do something or something and after a conversation Jon get's the Super-Man title. He's also gay which made certain people upset because all they heard was "Super Man's gay" and so they went ClArK kEnT cAn'T bE gAy WhAt AbOuT lOiS.
Oh that sounds like all kinds of bullshit.
Good for him with being gay tho.

492 notes.......the children YEARN for Big two comic's most insane, queerest and most extensive quirky lore. This is an experience you won't get in Batfam canon you gay little reader, I'll tell you that much!
How to read X-Men?
For the dear X-Men fans that came in through 97 (or the movies) and are confused as to where to start the comics! Don't let the internet fool you, there is only one way and it is by starting with Giant size X-Men #1 (1975). No I am not kidding, it truly is the only right way to get the full story😭 (unless you want to go ALL THE WAY to 1963, I don't necessarily think it's that vital)
This is me trying to keep ppl from making the same mistake I did, starting with wheadon's astonishing X-Men ☠️
Here is a very useful pic of what to read next 💞 good luck!
Tumblr media
This is to get ALL the context and major story arcs still referenced today. So I believe it to be vital for the other eras. (I don't know how you can fully understand jean and Scott's relationship today without having read inferno or dark phoenix for example)
Now, If you just wanna read for one specific character, that's a different story! Character specific reading guides that concentrate on the important issues across time exist! Look for those they're very useful <3

hotd server looking for more writers !
hello ! i am here to find new rp partners to join our hotd centered 16+ discord server ! we have twelve members so far, each with multiple muses - canon and oc - from game of thrones, a song of ice and fire books and house of the dragon. our server is open for any kind of fantasy characters as long as they would fit in the theme. ( we even have a small group of tolkienverse, marvel & dc characters ) . besides the human muses, we have a lot of dragon ones - the only difference from the show is that they have the ability to shapeshift into a human form .
to make things easier, we do not accept doubles, but after communicating , you can possibly take over someone else's muse - a lot has been taken due to the lack of writers.
we write in brackets, such as : [ ] and lit, depending on what the writers prefer at the given moment . please mind that every writer has their personal writing style ! we base our characters on both the show and books, and of course, headcanons !
despite being 16+ , we have a nsfw access for anyone interested in such stuff as the majority of the writers are 18+
we are a lgbt+ safe space of course !
come join our server where you’re able to, bring as many ocs as you want, play around with your favorite canon characters, and be involved in a fun community full of people with various interests including the occasional gaming session !
anyone interested — please reply !

Bad LGBT rep and can we talk about it.
A pet peeve I have is when two characters of the same gender are tg/shipped/lgbt, and one of them is either feminised or masculinised beyond recognition. Like if you’re going to ship two men, who are canonically like fucking into football and beer or something of the sorts, and who are typical men or whatever, I swear it’s more of an interesting dynamic when you just leave them to be their actual selves- romance added. I’m not talking about when they’re canonically breaking gender roles btw, I’m talking about a canonically big buff guy being twinkified, or a canonically sweet, bubbly woman being shoved into a nonchalant butch persona.
Headcanons are completely fine don’t get me wrong, but can we stop this whole thing of characters who are gay becoming LGBT characters (whole selves are centred around sexuality and being the lgbt diversity in a show) instead of js a character who happens to be LGBT. Honestly it just makes the character seem like a bad diversity add in for the sole purpose of the producers being able to say “hey look! We’re not homophobic, xyz is gay/trans!”
Like for example, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, two women, in love, so cute, but they’re still their own characters apart from being openly queer, like you don’t look at them and go “oh it’s the lesbian couple in dc”, instead you go “oh that’s Harley, and that Ivy, and they happen to be together”. They’re well established characters, who happen to be in a queer relationship, and that’s what I think good representation is.

Recently, it’s come to my attention that Disventure Camp’s been getting a bunch of copyright strikes for their episodes all thanks to an ex-employee that was lacklustre at their job.
Said ex-employee started contacting toon boom and made claims about the animators behind DC using pirated copies of their software. And Toon Boom in all their “infinite wisdom” took these claims at face value and started striking multiple episodes.
With the main channel posting Disventure Camp (Odd Nation Cartoons) being set to sadly shut down in 7 days, it’ll mean Disventure Camp’s gonna lose a good chunk of the revenue needed to help continue the show, the budget for the current season will have to be halved, and a bunch of collaborators’ contracts will have to be terminated.
They’ve recently set up 2 new channels, that’ll be the home for the four main seasons of DC (including the new one that’s been posting new episodes as of November 30th) and the spinoff respectively.
So yeah, long story short is that a indie webseries is getting unfairly strikes thanks to a fuckass ex-employee.
And the reason I’m bringing all this up is because I love this series and what it has to offer
As someone that’s watched BFDI & Inanimate Insanity for most of their life, animated reality shows aren’t anything new to me. But what makes Disventure Camp different from those two shows is that 1) The characters aren’t sentient objects, and are actual humans in the vain of Total Drama, & 2) There is a lot of LGBTQ+ representation within the show.
Like, I have a drafted post that essentially boils down to me rambling about all of it as somewhat of a love letter to the show. But I genuinely think the LGBT representation in the show is great considering how most of couples in the show are same-sex & have healthy communication, there’s transmasc, transfem, and non-binary representation through characters like Aiden, Natalia, & Tristan respectively, and most of the LGBTQ+ characters come from varying nationalities.
Heck, the co-creators (Jared Madrigal & Robert Casetellanos) are actually married to each other irl, and the two characters that are based off of them are canonically together. That’s really wholesome :D
I’m a huge sucker for canon LGBTQ+ representation & relationships so this series is a comfort show to me with how much it offers, and it really saddens me to see that it’s been going on hard times.
So yeah! Go watch Disventure Camp to help support it ‘cause it really needs it right now! And don’t ask about why some of the thumbnails look kinda sus :D

neither studios are perfect but as time goes on there are very visible differences between how the mcu and the dceu handle things. the mcu lets minor characters be queer (or blink and u miss it one liners to confirm it). harley quinn is bisexual in both the live action verse and in a canon wlw relationship w poison ivy in the animated series. peacemaker is bisexual. they are not the only lgbt+ characters (there’s literally so many I can’t make a list w/o forgetting a few) but they are MAIN characters and their sexuality influences their stories. dc uses a ton of practical effects / films on location. say what u will about james gunn (and whatever direction he takes dc) but he’s a major advocate for practical effects. marvel continuously puts actors in green screen hell (even props like guns r cgi) bc vfx workers aren’t unionized. dc (think the batman) let’s the actors influence the script and their characters. peacemaker is bisexual bc of john cena. paul dano is writing a comic series about the riddler. the mcu doesn’t let their actors read the full scripts or have any input
it is interesting to me bc yes, both studios exist to make money, but one is slowly being ruined by corporate homophobia & ideals (nuclear families, military propaganda, etc)

Round Two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Danny Fenton
"His only stable clone is of the opposite gender, he's hiding his identity from his parents, and a lot of other details people have compiled"
"That entire post about reasons why Danny is trans
Excerpts:
The main plot of the show can be read as a metaphor for being queer
Danny is the only boy who wears a shirt to the waterpark
There was a stable, female clone of him named Danni
One ghost attempted to touch his chest and he immediately and forcefully pulled back while seeming extremely uncomfortable"
Guy Gardener
"He is so transgender to me. He’s a trans man in my eyes. He’s canonically bad at naming things (cat named katt, replies 'good name' (serious) when told that they were calling a guy 'the weird' because all the readings on him are so weird, best code name he could come up with was 'warrior') so naming himself Guy is a natural fit. He gets alien shapeshifting/healing powers at one point which results in him being genuinely concerned when a teammate jokes about him possibly being pregnant. There’s also a comment about how 'even your voice has changed'. He overcompensates with his masculinity. In his main team (the justice league international) he mostly only gets acknowledged to be yelled at, sometimes because he deserved it, but sometimes because he’s taking up space (which will happen to trans mascs in lgbt spaces a lot) (and the whole jli is very queer coded so…). And in the post 2011 DC universe (New 52) most characters treat him in a hostile manner even though the reputation for crudeness he’d built in the 80s was retconned so he basically gets a negative reaction for no reason which again mirrors the trans masc experience in lgbt spaces. He’s also been subjected to two different genderbend storylines, a one shot in the 90s and an ongoing story in the 2010s."
"Many reasons - because I said so, because he is bad at naming things (names his cat 'Katt,' thinks 'The Weird' is a good name for a thing that is weird) so him coming out and naming himself 'Guy' is not that absurd (and its also really funny), his whole character predicates upon trying to meet masculine standards and also being criticized when he DOES meet those standards (very common experience amongst transmascs specifically), he also tends to seem to overcompensate his masculinity… um, which is also a common transmasc experience. He really likes being a man. Very transgender. But also I mean, I said so, so it's true."

Nobody mentions Jay or Bernard because they don’t have a personality outside of “boyfriend” bc DC thinks queer relationships can’t have depth outside of “uwuwwu cute boys in love” and it doesn’t help they’ve all only been written by straight people. Just because there is lgbt rep doesn’t mean it quality lgbt rep.
This is inaccurate Jay is pretty clearly outlined as a reporter who cares deeply about justice and his country of Gamorra. Granted I know less about Bernard because I haven't read Tim Drake: Robin but he's got a personality, too, which is specifically outlined in his interest in Gotham's vigilantes. In my opinion, people just aren't interested in getting to know Jay and Bernard as characters because they have their hearts set on Jon and Tim dating Dami and Kon (respectively) and aren't interested in getting to know these new characters.
(By the way, I do want to say that I have nothing against Timkon or Jondami. I think they're perfectly fine ships and I don't dislike them at all. I just think it's a little annoying that there are so many fans of Timkon and Jondami and no one talks about their actual, canonical boyfriends.)

Very very spicy Controversial xmen opinions:
Cw: these are just my opinions. You can ignore them,just like you and marvel do canon. Thank you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡♤◇♧~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can't ever ever ever see storm with a white dude romantically. Platonic maybe. Respected mentor sure. But marriage or anything like that. Nah. I see storm settling down with a moc or a woc. I just don't ever see her with a white dude. I know this may ruffle feathers for some unholy reason,but storm x forge just makes fucking sense. And any other ship is just mediocre and lame to me. And trying too hard. This is just me tho. Im not saying it couldn't work. I just feel like people don't know how to write her with a white dude without making it weird or ignoring her entire personality for a ship. Because it "looks cute". I feel storm should be with someone in general ON HER LVL. but you know,she's stronk and sweet. And some people can't handle that. So eh. *shrug*
Magneto was right...ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT. he's still an antagonistic bitch. And his morals are still fucked. He's not perfect nor a saint. STOP TREATING HIM LIKE ONE! same with charles. Thank you.
Wolverine is to be shipped with peace and fucking quiet not a woman... nessicarly. Like let him retire. Hang up the claws marvel!!!! Ffs
Jean should've been a villain and should have died looooong ago.
Leave jubilee tf alone. Like damn
I feel like at a certain point xmen needs to stop. Like done. No more new comics. And anything else that wants to be told can be done in movies,tv,or one offs. Like any damn series
No no no we do not need a fucking marvel vs mk. Look if it didn't work out for dc what makes you think marvel is any better?! Plus i say this dearly as a mortal kombat fan,leave mortal kombat alone. It's already hell there. And marvel isn't any better nor has changed. Dont make it more hell. Thank you.
If anyone needs a wife. And an actual healthy relationship in general. It's nightcrawler. Fuck you if you think otherwise. No i wont elaborate.
Nobody's more annoying than xmen fans. I say this as an xmen fan. At the same time. Nobody's more fucking creative than xmen fans. So eh.
The xmen in my head is infinitely more better than the xmen in "canon"
People need to understand that mutants dont have to be extravagant to be valid. This can be applied WITH ANY IRL ANALOGY! (Mutants aren't just lgbt allegory. That doesn't always apply in xmen. And it seems the fans are very ableist and blind too when it comes to other rep and the other isims that come with the territory. That is for an entire different post because it's too long to talk about here)
Cyclops isn't a bad character. Y'all just aren't creative enough and are bias. Scott isn't a teenager or a certain spiderman in order for you to be weird or creative with him. Cyclops is actually fucking dope. Im sorry scott the fans are weird with you.
If xmen has helped you during a difficult time in life. Congrats. It did it's job. Say thank you.
If you disagree with a hc. Like a fart. Ignore it,no matter how stinky. It'll disappear soon.
How do fans engage with the source material when there’s already canonical queer representation?
Rachel Marks looks at the fandoms for the DC Comics TV shows (like Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), which have been including queer characters since 2014 when the characters Sara Lance and Nyssa al Ghul shared a kiss in Arrow. Read the whole article for free, which is in the newest issue of the open access journal, Transformative Works and Cultures: “Fan perspectives of queer representation in DC's Legends of Tomorrow on Tumblr and AO3.”
Marks finds:
Fans generally appreciate and care about queer representation in Legends, but they often overlook representation of people of color. For instance, pairings with characters of color get less attention.
Canon queer pairings get the most attention, but noncanonical pairings are still common.
“In sum, Legends fans show their appreciation for canon queer representation in television by frequently featuring canonically queer characters in their posts, highlighting the positive qualities of those characters and their relationships. Fans appreciate seeing multiple LGBT characters represented on television and get enjoyment out of seeing same-sex couples being couples on screen. However, this is not all they focus on when blogging or writing fic about their favorite characters or ships. Fans want to enjoy viewing canonically queer couples and queer characters on television, but they also want to enjoy alternative interpretations in which noncanonical ships are read for their subtextual elements. Fans simultaneously enjoy watching and creating content about a show that has canonical queer representation, while continuing the queer fan tradition of forming their own interpretations of queer characters and relationships.”
