i have no idea how i wound up here

I have no idea how I wound up here. If you would have told me two years ago that this is what I would call life. That my career goals and aspirations would consist entirely of pot. Weed. That cannabis would become such an integral and necessary part of my being I would find myself attempting to stake claim as the creator of weed vaporizer juice… I honestly wouldn’t know what to say… I still don’t know.

Yet, here I am.

Having lost or sacrificed most of what I would refer to as my life in the name of…well, something I am incredibly passionate about. Something I love to death. The thing that would provide me a purpose for living when there was none. Even if that very thing were the reason I had found myself there in the first place. However backwards and fucked up it were. This is the reality of it all. How I became CannaJuice and why and how I created CannaSciences overnight. To save my life. To be able to continue fighting for something I held so dear to my heart. The same thing that a few years earlier I’d credit with helping me to kick booze for good (in addition to my dog and one time fiance) Pot.

Marijuana is so many things to so many people. Yesterday I found myself walking aimlessly around a mall with a good friend of mine and my cousin discussing this very thing. I realized our conversation had shifted almost entirely to weed. Cannabis. In some form or another, for the last half hour or hour. I made note of that and my friend pointed out that my life is all weed. Yep. I guess it had become just that. It was my medicine. My line of work. Provider of motivation. Of relaxation. Of financial compensation. Following some nasty fall-out last….uh, fall. It became my life.

I’ll skip over the details as they are still a very sore spot for me. Suffice to say that I would look back on a very brief period of time in the fall of 2015 and see the moment(s) where I had lost my entire life. Everything. Gone in a matter of days…. House. Puppy Dog. Fiance and Identity all vanished into thin air, leaving me with nothing. With no real reason to live. At least not one I could find. Years of alcoholism and recovery would find my social life long ago left for dead. My entire life had been those few things above. My fiance, my dog and my self. My sense of pride in just plain old fucking living. The ability to wake up in the morning and not immediately down a bottle of booze. Of not becoming a lush, a waste, a burden. Just the notion of sobriety, of life without alcohol. It was and is a tremendous achievement for me.

My life after alcohol was a small, quiet one. One with simple pleasures and minimal amounts of stress. One which would become …. devoted to improvement. Of self and surroundings. The important things become quite clear after near death experiences. The really important things are really easy to pick out. The trivial shit just fades away into the background and the world becomes a much easier place to exist in. At least it had for me.

I learned after so much trial and error the things that of which are most important to me and I learned to fight for them. To fight until you can no longer fight. Pulling yourself up off the mat each time. So long as you get back out there and keep pushing yourself in battle. I have never thrown a punch but I will never stop fighting.

I never quit. Not as long as there’s a breathe left to breathe in my lungs. Not as long as I can move. I will keep fucking coming back.

Before I hobbled out of that corner, I had created a new brand. A new self. Attempting to breathe life back into my lungs. To have a reason to continue fighting. Out of that corner came CannaSciences.

Let me tell you.

I had NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING. Actually, looking back….it’s quite possible I lost my mind for a brief period there. We (read: I) immediately got to work on THChapstick. An organic, all-natural, cannabis lip balm and my (canna sciences) first product. I then started designing some clothing and apparel and stuff when suddenly, in a freak incident I simultaneously pissed my pants and laughed them off my ass. At some point the shock from the loss of my entire life. The incidents leading up to and around it….it all hit me. At once and like a ton of bricks.

Holy fucking shit.

…..eventually I would launder my pants a few times. Then douse them in Febreeze. All the while the reality of the situation setting in. Weed vaporizer juice. Where did that come from?!? Shit. I took an illicit brand off of on an illegal underground internet market and moved it into the real world. Did anybody catch that? I had started but to this point been unable to successfully complete both the trademark and patent processes. I was managing a legal and less than legal business at once. I was……no, I had lost my mind.

Part of me is still unsure if or just how much, people had payed attention. People knew who I WAS, but did they know who I AM, do they care? The only push back I was receiving was from my ex and her friends in real life. I expected more.

I had gone about all this in a blatant effort to get caught. I was tired of hiding and having my enemies with ammo on me. The wrong people knew who I was and they used a fair amount of time and resources to destroy both my personal and “professional” life. Plainly, they made my life living hell. Guess that’s what happens when you work in an illicit black market. Tough lesson learned. Looking back there were a few times where getting caught or turning self in seemed the best options for me. Then the shock began to wear off and I was able to see clearly what it was I had to do.

Grateful does not even begin to describe how I feel that thus far I have been lucky in interacting with the law.

I will continue experimenting with cannabis extracts in oils, lotions, balms, drinks and almost anything you can think of. I am Jason “CJ” also known as CannaJuice and Canna Sciences. Also known as the creator of marijuana vaporizer liquids.
