why jalil kubdel was the ideal candidate for a second hawkmoth 

in his focus episode we already know he was drawn to a spell to bring back to dead for some reason [looks at the mother shaped hole in the kubdel family]

he’s an archaeology student who would have the resources and know-how to investigate the miraculouses

hates ladybug because her war took away his little sister (and even if it’s technically hawkmoth’s fault, alix still had to go on the run because ladybug lost the miracle box). yes i know reunion technically resolved their issues but i think he should have still had a bone to pick with ladybug for putting her in this situation in the first place

strikes a really interesting balance between “realistically compelling” (his dad neglected him emotionally in favor of his golden child sister, possibly dead mom, and now the only family member that loves him has been taken away from him) and “frustratingly immature” (get the fuck over yourself and go to therapy for your daddy issues, dude) that i think works really well in a lot of villains

would have a different motivation from gabriel hawkmoth, opening the doors to new stories. in my mind, he would take up the hawkmoth mantle not because he wants the wish necessarily but because he wants ladybug and chat noir to give up their mantle as heroes, thinking that if all miraculous use ceased, the world would be a better place and his sister could come home. also maybe he can be nice to nooroo can we have that

would be an excellent case of a tragic self fulfilling prophecy. as we’ve seen before, family members wielding miraculouses at the same time only leads to disaster. even if alix tried to come out of the burrow and convince jalil face to face that the world needs ladybug, i think it would have resulted in some kind of world-ending fight or time paradox, forcing her to not intervene and watch her brother go down the rabbit hole into spiteful rage

What do you think of Canigirl's (dog!Alix) and Argos's (peacock!Felix) designs?

I do not like Canigirl's design. The whole suit design is ugly, and the colors were poorly picked. And the hat just feels random and done simply because Miss Hound had a hat, and it may even be the same hat she had. I also got to see a picture of her combining it with Rabbit and I think it got worse design wise.

Canigirl to me feels like they didn't even try.

Between the two, Argos is better, but I also feel like it's just way too much blue and they need something to break up all that blue. Like, maybe some white in the middle? Or more teal or pink? Idk, I can't say for sure as I am not a fashion person, I just know that it's not to the pleasing design I would like to see.

I also do not care for this design trend they do where those who use the Peacock have their skin turn blue or purple or whatever. It's be fine if it was a full face mask, but it's just their regular face but a different color. I hate it. I'm also bothered that Argos isn't wearing a mask or have anything that throws off who he is (outside discolored skin). Like, yes, ok, the heroes know and Gabriel knows, there's no point in really hiding his identity.

But he's still showing it off for the world to see, and for this character who's supposed to be so smart, it clashes with the design he got cause what's smart is having something to throw off who you could be. What if a motivated Chloe decided to try and steal the Peacock from him? Or a motivated Alya who's feeling self righteous? You could at least bring the hood down to cover the upper part of his face if you don't want to do an actual mask and have some peacock themed eyespots for the "eyes" and he could see through cause it's magic.

Who wore the dog miraculous better?

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on the suits for the dog miraculous, so I was wondering which one people preferred the most

When they are about to transform Ladybug stops Alix and asks them to create a new identity for themselves just for this mission. Alix agrees and transforms into Looking Glass, or Glass for short.

Bonus, inverting the blues here gets you colors similar to what Alix uses for Canigirl. So that's cool.

One thing I kinda want to share but I'm just a lil tentative about bc I never know exactly where the line is, is what people who read the bible knew going into each episode. I think it's really interesting and probably pretty important because it may give people an idea of what the bible actually says and what type of stuff it spoils.

So, uh, here's some stuff we knew going into S5 (episodes 1-12) from reading the bible? It's not exhaustive (mostly it's just off the top of my head), and it does have S5 spoilers (and obviously it references the bible), but hopefully you find it interesting!

The bible said next to nothing about what was happening in Destruction; genuinely, it was so vague. The only thing I knew was that apparently a human would be cataclysm'd in the episode, but it didn't say who, by who, or under what context.

Similarly, didn't know much about Deflagration going into it, except what I could glean from later episodes. So, for example, the synopsis of Perfection kinda gave me the idea that Adrinette would be getting development by the end of it? But it was very vague.

I did know about Scarabella and Kitty Noire before Transmission, though. (All hero appearances are mapped out in an earlier section of the bible, including Lady Noire and Mister Bug in Passion, and Canigirl/young Bunnix in Evolution. However, when Evolution came out the bible had only been leaked a couple of days and I somehow missed the bit with Canigirl/young Bunnix, so that came as a surprise to me, too.)

The songs have been a complete surprise.

We have a more exhaustive list of reakumatizations than akumatizations. I knew Glaciator would be back in Elation but I didn't know about the museum lady in Determination, for example.

I was convinced Illusion was gonna be mostly DJWifi. Was a lil bit disappointed.

I knew Damocles would be akumatized into Darker Owl in Jubilation, and I knew he'd be getting the power of Jubilation, but I had no idea where that was going.

I knew Jeanne d'Arc would be appearing in Reunion but I didn't know what she'd be saying.

I won't talk about the Gloob-released episodes, but I'll say they follow a similar pattern of "however much I think I know about the episode, it always manages to surprise me." Usually a lot (I have a feeling the later the episode is in the season, the more surprises it'll have.)

I made this post just because the bible is interesting to me and I think other people may be interested too. (Though personally I like it more as a puzzle to work out, which obviously doesn't work if you're only hearing it retroactively.)

I guess if you haven't read the bible/don't want leaks, the main takeaway you should get from this post is.... it's not as bad as it may seem? I know the fandom is a little bit less anxious about it since most people (on Tumblr anyway) decided to Not be asshats (and the ones who didn't almost always deserve to be blocked anyway adsfhakdjs) but if you got leaked/spoiled/saw someone making claims about S5, you should know that whatever they know is probably not the full story, or even the most exciting part. Even as someone who has read the bible, I went into these episodes not knowing about That Part of Jubilation, or the Marichat confession, or Nathalie's apparent redemption arc, or the songs, or or or.

Now that you've almost finished King Monkey, I was curious, what are your plans? You've mentioned that you're going to skip Zoé and Félix for now, so, I'd assume the next ones are the remaining seven heroes from Season 4 (Mylène, Rose, Juleka, Sabrina, Ivan, Nathaniel, Marc). What about Alix, though? I think it'd be better to do the young one first, as she's already appeared in as many episodes as the adult one. You could also do Canigirl and Bunny Dog at the same time, like you did the Multimice.

Also, which of Gabriel's other designs do you plan on doing? There's quite a few (Shadow Moth, both Monarchs, the Alliance outfit, and Scarlet Moth, Shadow Noir and Monarbug who are miscellaneous), but most would be at least when you finish the other main forms.

Ultimately, no matter what you decide and create, your creations are amazing, especially since you're just a single person working in their free time, and not some company with many employees. Hope you're well, and keep up with the great work!

For Alix I'll make teen Bunnix first, cause I want them all in the same time line.

About Gabriel, I'll eventually make Shadowmoth and Monarch (the version with the rings cause adding all the miraculouses and weapons with the limited texture/category space of the Sims will be pretty much impossible), they all will be in the fusion category like Multi Noir etc. The second outfit (the white one) is not my priority at the moment. I don't plan on making Scarlet Moth cause it's basically a recolor of Hawkmoth.

Adult Bunnix, Alix with the dog etc will be all in the secondary holder category like multimouse.

At the moment I want to focus on the "main" just to have an holder for each miraculous, then I'll make the new holders just to keep up with the show (Zoe and Felix) and then we'll see.. It might take a while xD
