I had a patient's visiting mother tell me she was going to cough on me to prove she didn't have COVID when I told her she had to wear a mask. I told her that would be assault and we always have cops hanging around the ER and I'm sure one of them would LOVE to come and arrest her, and that if she didn't properly wear a mask for the entirety of her visit she would have to leave the hospital premises, and if she would go willingly I'd call hospital security and the police to file a report. She left and didn't come back.
