first off, a massive thank you to everyone who's commissioned me since I reopened them this past april. i have greatly enjoyed drawing your ocs kissing and/or crying, and i look forward to the chance to draw more!!!! <3

For the time being, commissions are my sole source of income. These past few months of work have been spent looking at my expenses and budgeting, and recognizing the need to adjust my prices to better reflect cost of living and to stave off any burnout from drawing full-time. I also wanted a neater, more accessible info post!!!

hello :) that you for such a sweet ask! i've been somewhat less active lately (distracted by work, books, and the massive bbc merlin fanfic i'm currently posting lol), so it's nice to know you've been enjoying my blog!

in answer to your question, this is not a complete list, but some of my favourites are these:

empower ye olde pinup girl this is one of my older posts, and i've always really liked how the collage aspect came together + how coherent the overall text ended up being!

Queer is the inclusive term once again, i really like how this one ended up looking with the purple flowers in the background, and championing the world 'queer' is important to me.

this kink positive saint sebastian post (nsfw) first of all, this is just one of my favourite paintings of saint sebsastian. second of all, the story behind posting this is that i had just gotten a rather rude hate anon with some inappropriate sexual content which i can only assume was meant to disgust me. little did they know i had a post like this lined up. it still amuses me to imagine they checked my blog every day to see if i'd taken the bait, only to find this post instead.

i ate a pinecone once (ask) sometimes if i'm in the mood, i use some of my asks as poetry prompts, and this one was fun to make. web weavings are not my usual genre of poetry (in fact, neither is blackout poetry), but this was very fun, and more challenging than i anticipated!

What are your kids REALLY learning in school? my favourite part of this post is people in the notes confirming all of the things i listed here and also talking about 'the outsiders' lmao! the original post was actually a screenshot from this terrible website full of misinformation and slander about queer people and the canadian education system. i thought i'd make it just a little more factual.

MANY. plan on being a guy who is tattooed. most definitive ones are:

- want a pinup girl on the other calf. maybe she'll be a figure skater or something

- want a centipede (i am terrified of centipedes)

- want a large bird on my chest with its wings outstretched. this is a post top surgery plan it's to cover the scars but also bc it would look sick as hell

- 1972 summit series players on my thighs one Canadian and one Soviet. maybe they'll be like 84 Canada cup or something *technically* because the pretty diamond pattern the Soviets put on the waist stripe wasn't on there for the 72 series. but i digress

Stars will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Set Yourself on Fire with a tour and new vinyl release. Hair Fishbowl

'Draw this in your Style' made its comeback and I did another handful of them over on Instagram. This one comes courtesy of a design by https://www.instagram.com/myrmidia/ I saw a few fish-swimming-in-watery-hair pieces going around last year and thought that it would be fun to try myself. Also Myr's girls are always so soft and dynamic, so I knew an event from her would be interesting to dive into. If you don't know her go and check her out! I didn't change a ton with this one. The pose is somewhat different, and I extended the piece a little so that you could see more of her body. I don't tend to do headshots very often so this felt like a more natural place to end the piece for me. I used gouache in her hair and on the fish because I really wanted them to stand out, and I think that the effect worked out well. I'd like to see this girl move and see what her hair looks like as she goes about life. Finished in September of 2019 Medium: Watercolours, Gouache & Ink on Paper
