system wardrobe malfunctions and small scenario pushers: exteme edition au
after his qi deviation, shen qingqiu starts working on slowly building up relations with his fellow peak lords and disciples; saving liu qingge in the caves, spoiling luo binghe rotten, freely praising his students, inviting the sect leader over for tea, he's a whole new person!
and yet... his friendliness levels aren't going up.
he knows it's a bit icky to judge his relations with other people based on numbers an alien entity is giving him, but he needs them to survive, and he swears that once he's above a certain threshold (somewhere between "civil" and "friendly", he figures), he will mute every and all notifications regarding it.
but they're just not going up. since his deviation he's at least managed to claw his way from "hostile" to "tolerant" with most of them, but some are somehow still stuck in the "aloof" section! they wouldn't even care if he died!
he just doesn't know what he's doing wrong; he understands these things take time, but it feels so bad when people refuse to sit next to him or sigh when they're assigned a mission with him, especially since it's not his fault.
now, it so happens that, one day, the system hears his woes and takes pity on him.
【 user seems to experience difficulty increasing character favor levels 】
you could say that
【 would host like to utilize our special deluxe package to activate 'The Path of Blossoming Hearts and Unspoken Affections' free of charge? ₊˚⊹♡ 】
though shen qingqiu isn't trustful of the system's antics, he can't deny that so far they have helped him well enough, and since it's free of charge with no penalties, wouldn't it be a waste not to use it? the title is a bit dubious, but was the original shen qingqiu not known for his frozen heart? for never sparing a single nice word to anyone? this could be his chance to let it blossom without the system nagging on his characterization.
【 accept optional mission? [yes]/[no] 】
he picks [yes].
two weeks later, he wishes he hadn't.
the package is devided into small scenarios that mostly appear at random, ranging from small dialogue challenges where he has to pick the right option (he really doesn't like those, the dehumanization of it makes his skin crawl), to the equivalent of two rivals getting locked in a room together.
the first few scenarios are minor and not very impactful, to the point where he's finished three of them and his favor count with qi qingqi has increased a whopping +2 (still "aloof") and that of wei qingwei +5 (still "tolerant").
his fourth scenario, however, reminds him of exactly why he should never accept gifts from strange screens floating in the sky.
he's on a nighthunt with liu qingge to slay a mirebeast that's been terrorizing travelers—an amphibious creature with thick, slimy skin, a crocodile tail and a leech-like mouth that shoots mucus when threatened... and shooting mucus it did.
while his clothes can easily be cleaned with a cleaning talisman, he never feels truly clean himself unless he actually bathes. luckily, there's a beautiful, glass-like pond nearby that's surrounded by natural demonic-repellent vegetation, a win! he's just draped his clothes over a nearby branch and submerged himself in the water, when the system rings out.
【 heads up! small scenario "Stolen Silks and Sunlit Waters" is about to begin! penalty: none. wishing user good luck (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) 】
hold up—stolen what.
stolen silks. his silks. stolen by a mossy-jade stag that happens to scratch its huge antles on the exact tree he hung his clothes on, which rattles the branch and causes his robes to fall exactly onto its head, spooking it into a gallop as it disappears into the forest.
how. how does that even happen.
shen qingqiu is just about to get out of the water when of course liu qingge chooses that exact moment to stomp into the glade looking for him, even though he should have been miles away to the village to ensure the people the beast is dead.
for anyone looking in from the outside, it's not a bad picture: shen qingqiu, with his hair pulled up and away from his slender neck, submerged to his (very bare!) pale shoulders in golden sunlit waters, surrounded by lotus flowers and lily pads. to liu qingge, this must be a terrible view, apparently—shen qingqiu can think of no other reason that would cause his face to flush so bright red.
liu qingge tosses his outer robe on the grass between them and turns resolutely around. it's only a bit insulting—is shen qingqiu not pretty enough to try and sneak a look at? even just a glimpse? meanwhile liu qingge is trying really hard to mentally recite the ethics sutra to not fixate on the sound of shen qingqiu getting out of the water (naked!!) or the rustle of fabrics as he wraps liu qingge's robe around his (naked!!!!) body. when liu qingge turns around he flushes an even darker shade as he sees shen qingqiu's bare legs and feet sticking out from under the robes.
"thanking shidi," says shen qingqiu, who notices none of this, as he pulls the robe a little closer around him, "for coming to this one's untimely rescue."
liu qingge grunts, turns, and walks away.
【 congratulations! liu qingge's favor increased. character satisfaction points +50. please continue to work hard! 】
shut up
【 ૮(˶╥︿╥)ა 】
they return to the sect victorious, but very embarrassed. the mirebeast gets all the blame. where his clothes are? well—uh, gone. the mucus dissolved them. yes he knows that's not how mucus works but it did this time okay?!!
yue qingyuan acts a bit strange seeing shen qingqiu wearing liu qingge's outer robes. he almost qi deviates when he finds out his shidi is wearing absolutely nothing under it. it's all very dramatic. apparently the sect is made up of people who shower with their clothes on or something.
【 ⁺‧₊˚bonus scenario!!˚₊‧⁺˖ interactive dialog quest: pick the best suited options to win additional favor points! 】
i don't like where this is going
"shidi?" yue qingyuan asks, looking at him with those big worried puppy eyes.
【 choice A: (demure) this shidi is cold. will you not invite me in at least?
choice B: what are you looking at?! mind your own business stupid old man!
choice C: i'm in love with liu qingge 】
WHAT
if he was drinking tea he would have spat it out, and then coughed himself to death. what the hell kind of options are these!!
【 system has based these options on what will earn (or lose!) user the most points. please pick one. 】
[ admin notes: option A will earn +60 points. option B will neither increase nor decrease points. option C will decrease -100 satisfaction points and increase +200 heartbreak points ]
shen qingqiu silently curses the system. option B is way out of line, even for the original shen qingqiu, who probably would insult yue qingyuan, but not with so little class. he doesn't even consider option C an actual option. and, well, he is cold. and wet. and almost naked. he would like a warm bath and some clothes. A it is then.
he doesn't like the way yue qingyuan's face light up when he grits out the dialog.
【 congratulations! yue qingyuan's favor increased. character satisfaction points +60! keep up the good work! 】
he can't keep doing this much longer.
unfortunately, he does have to keep doing this for much longer.
he's just about to go to bed when someone knocks on the door. luo binghe is already sleeping so he goes himself. just as he's about to open the door the system rings out—but it's too late.
shen yuan is used to wearing old tshirts to bed and no pants (he hates the feeling of his legs being restricted while he sleeps), so he doesn't really care when the only equivalent of this in pidw is a silk nightgown. his mother wore them, his sister wore them. hell, one of his brothers once bought one for fun and ended up using it for months. it's florally embroidered with puffy sleeves and reaches to his knees, that's decent enough, right?
【 heads up! small scenario "Dreamy Encounters at Dusk" is about to begin! good luck! 】
he has no idea what that's supposed to mean and he doesn't care. he opens the door, and it's mu qingfang. not... that unusual, but still.
"can this master help you?"
it takes mu qingfang a moment to remember what he's here for, it seems, because he stares at shen qingqiu for a good few seconds before raising an eyebrow like he's caught him doing something wrong.
"does shen-shixiong always answer the door like this?"
shen qingqiu glares back. "only when unsolicited guests come stumbling around my porch in the middle of the night."
"fair enough."
apparently he's here on behalf of yue qingyuan, who had asked him to do a post mission check up as soon as he was available, which is now. which yue qingyuan had apparently forgotten to relay to shen qingqiu himself. awesome.
he invites mu qingfang in (he can hardly close the door on him, it's late for him too!), and sits through the usual poking and prodding.
the system is prodding, too.
【 would user like some advice on how to maximize point earning? 】
no
【 ( •̯́ ^ •̯̀) system is only trying to help!! 】
i really don't need your help with this, thanks. i can keep a conversation on my own.
【 optional system booster: not mandatory. user may choose to decline this quest.
option 1: this one appreciates your care. the hardship is... unexpected. (look away shyly). i find it difficult to accept help sometimes, even when i need it.
option 2: i'm in love with you.
option 3: stand up and pretend to faint into his arms 】
shen qingqiu is about to spit blood—what the HELL is this!!! why do all your options make you look bipolar HUH??? and what's this about professing my love to people?!! why is that always an option??! this isn't a dating simulator, stupid system, they'll think i'm crazy!
【 all these options result in an increase of character satisfaction points (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) 】
HOW
【 (ó﹏ò。) user seems misinformed about character preferences. [mu qingfang] likes to take care of people! 】
... i decline the quest. booster. whatever. i'll figure it out myself. and stop talking about him like he's some one dimensional character!
they hear stumbling coming from the little side room, then the creaking of floorboards. binghe peeks through the door, hair sleep-ruffled and his robes pulled on over his sleeping clothes.
"shizun?" he asks, worried, "what's wrong? why is mu-shishu here?"
【 ⁺‧₊˚bonus scenario!!˚₊‧⁺˖ interactive dialog quest: pick the best suited options to win additional favor points! 】
oh god, not again.
【 option A: (gently) nothing is wrong, binghe. this master is alright. go back to sleep.
option B: (gently) nothing is wrong, binghe. this master is alright. (invite him to sit next to you during the examination)
option C: (gently) nothing is wrong, binghe. this master is alright. mu-shidi is just keeping me company tonight. 】
huh. so you can give meaningful options that i would actually consider picking?
【 ◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜ 】
[admin notes: option A will decrease -100 points for luo binghe. option B will increase +20 points for luo binghe. option C will decrease -300 points for luo binghe, and increase +20 points for mu qingfang. option A & C increase luo binghe jealousy levels with 400 points].

Robes |Zuko X Reader| HC
Tumblr media
Summary: Your relationship with Zuko and how your friends found out.
Warnings: Implied intamacy???? Bed sharing. Kissing.
Masterlist Ko-fi
- - - - -
You were well acquainted with the Gaang. You'd served as a sort of double agent for them during the war once Zuko had teamed up with them. He knew they'd need some inside information, so he contacted you, knowing full well your ideals did not align with the fire nation.
You're the daughter of the prestigious Admiral Zhou, a ruthless military head who wouldn't hesitate to turn you in if he found out you were leaking information to the enemy.
It was easy to keep them updated. Your father had an ego the size of the moon, always going on and on about his achievements and new findings and whatnot. He was never home for long, leaving you in your mother's care and making it easy to sneak away. You mostly sent messenger Hawks, but once they'd infiltrated the fire nation you met in person.
You mostly met with Zuko, but occasionally, Sokka or Aang would take his place. You didn't mind. It was nice seeing more of the people you were risking your life for.
After the war, once Zuko took over as Fire Lord, he invited you to be a part of his cabinet. You weren't sure why, seeing as how the other members have some sort of military or consulting experience, and you're just a teenager who sent letters.
Strategy meetings were weekly, so you saw Zuko more often than any of the others. They visited when they could, but with the long list of air temple repairs, it was difficult to make time.
Not that you minded. You loved spending time with him, with or without the rest of the entourage.
Zuko was always accommodating to you, even going as far as to offer you a room in the palace 'if you ever need it.' He'd had the room fully furnished and closet stocked with spare outfits.
Occasionally, if meetings ran long, you'd stay in said room. It was a luxury the other members weren't granted, and honestly, it made you feel special.
When all the immediate post-war issues finally calmed down and Zuko had more free time, he always asked you to stick around or come keep him company.
He's the fire lord. He can't easily leave the palace, especially to do regular teenager things like laze around the shops or sneak into theaters, so you were limited to what the palace could offer.
You'd taken to gardening with him, something Zuko found very alluring. You played board games, baked pastries, and anything else you two could come up with.
Before long, you found yourself spending most of your time with him on the property. Occasional sleepovers quickly become several times a week. It wasn't long before you basically lived there, so you bit the bullet and brought the rest of your stuff to the palace.
Within a few months, you shared a kiss near the pond in the garden. Things slowly escalated over the next year or so. That first nervous kiss became the norm. You shared dinners and late night talks, often going so far into the night you'd just crash in his bed.
Before long, your room became obsolete. Your bed was hardly ever touched, your clothes were in his closet, items in his drawers, and toiletries in his restroom.
You'd heard the staff gossip from time to time, which you didn't necessarily mind, but it definitely made you blush. It felt like getting caught despite doing nothing wrong.
For a while, Katara would tease you mercilessly. She didn't know anything, or at least didn't lead you to believe she did. She just liked the idea of everyone finding someone, and you were the only girl Zuko ever talked to.
You went out of your way to cover up the obvious aspects of your relationship when your friends were around. You agreed early on to keep things under wraps, not wanting to harm the groups dynamic if things didn't work out.
But that was almost a year and half ago, and now it felt wrong to say anything. Like you had betrayed their trust somehow. You felt bad for lying to your friends about what was going on, but honestly, neither of you could bring yourself to admit the two of you had been dishonest for so long.
You woke up and patted the bed beside you. It was still warm, but Zuko wasn't there. You got up and picked up a robe off the floor to cover your nightwear. It was unlike him to leave without even waking you, so you'd go see what he was up to.
You exited his quarters and immediately saw the entire Gaang. They just stared at you in shock, having a hard time piecing things together.
"Did you just come out of Zuko's room?" Sokka asked.
"You saw me, didn't you?"
"Are those his clothes?" Katara asked.
You glanced down. They were, in fact, his clothes. You just stared at her, refusing to answer. Of course, Katara would notice they were his specifically and not just standard robes.
Zuko dragged his hand down his face. Of course, this is how they'd find out. Not after a long, thought-out conversation over a planned dinner or outing. They had to see you walk out of his room compromised after an impromptu visit.
They hastled you two for the rest of the day, asking horrifically personal questions and guilt tripping you into answering them. They bothered you for information about your intimate lives and dating preferences.
Late into the night, when the fire and excitement died down, Katara and Toph cornered you about the secrecy. You were huddled up in your room for a girls only sleepover when they decided to attack, giving you no choice but to be completely honest.
"We kept it quiet in case things didn't work out. Then some time passed... and we started feeling guilty about hiding it, and we just never found the right time."
"There didn't have to be a right time. Were your friends, not your subjects."
"I know. There's just a lot of pressure when you're with a friend who also happens to be the Fire Lord."
Luckily, you have amazing friends who understand people make mistakes. They squashed your anxiety about the whole thing, making sure you knew they weren't mad or disappointed.
But that absolutely did not stop them from holding over your heads for the unforeseeable future.

Broken Part 2
Summary: Din is on the brink of death. The only way to save him is to remove his helmet. Surely he'll understand and forgive you... right?
Warnings: Swearing, description of injuries, angst, established relationship, use of Y/N.
Word Count: 4,564
Tumblr media
It has been one month since Din left you as a sobbing mess on Sorgan. One month since he'd had anything resembling a good night's sleep, haunted every time he closes his eyes by the image of your devastated face and shaking frame. Please Din, please don't this! echoing on a loop in his mind. He did what needed to be done, so why can't he seem to move on? He has regained his creed, by the grace of the Living Waters, you're safe, you have friends and a new place to start over. That knowledge should be enough to to ease his conscience, so why can't he let you go?
Why does he suffer every day with crushing guilt and endless longing to see you, touch you, laugh with you? Of course he's not the only one suffering. Grogu cried for three days straight when Din told him you wouldn't be coming back. Even now Grogu seems forlorn. He's quieter than usual, not showing much interest in his toys, not constantly harassing the poor froggy's in his pond. Din tried everything he could think of to distract him, but it was futile. Grogu misses you, and in truth, so does Din. Work has been slow for the past couple of weeks, meaning once Din has dropped Grogu off at school, he's had nothing but time to ruminate on the events that led to this.
Had he been too harsh? Maybe, but although he's consumed by guilt - and a part of him wants to run to you, forgive you and hold you - he still can't see how he'll ever be able to trust you again, trust you to make difficult decisions when necessary. His heart and his mind are being pulled in two different directions. He can't take this anymore. He needs to clear his head. Getting up from the settee, he places his helmet on his head before walking out of the door to visit the one non Mandalorian friend he has on Nevarro.
Tumblr media
The evening sun drenches Sorgan in a warm, golden hue, rays of sunlight gleaming off the krill ponds, shadows of huts and trees elongating as the sun slowly begins it's decent beyond the horizon. The evening had always been your favourite time of day on any planet. Taking time to relax and unwind after a long day was always something you'd look forward to, but not anymore. The evening heralds the approaching night, and night time is when the tears come. When the loneliness and sorrow become too much to bare and manifest in unbridled anguish and weeping. Omera has been a liferaft in a tumultuous ocean for you, allowing you to cry until you'd exhausted yourself and always ready to offer advice and support as your poured your aching heart out.
You honestly don't know what you would've done without her this past month. You'd told her everything the day Din left you in pieces and a part of you worried that she'd be disappointed in you too, but she showed nothing but understanding, adding that in a situation like that, anyone would do the same. Some nights were easier than other's to endure. Night's when your toilworn body had no choice but to succumb to sleep after spreading yourself too thin. More work meant less time to think and a greater chance of sleeping through the night.
Tonight wasn't one of those nights. The harvest had been collected and the krills had been salted and stored away, which meant for the past two days there had been a lot less work to occupy your mind. Tonight is the village festival, a chance for the community to come together and celebrate the rewards of everyone's hard work. As the orange and pink sky turned to dusk, bonfires were lit throughout the village, a signal of the beginning of the festivities. Banners and streamers hung between huts, log seats and blankets placed around each bonfire, the aromas of different delicacy's wafted from the stalls, reaching every corner of the village and the cool night air came alive with cheerful music.
Children laughed and played, people danced, friends gathered around the fires, enjoying Spotchka, everyone immersed in the exuberant atmosphere. It's moments like this that somewhat lightened your spirits, even if it is temporary. Omera sat beside you by the fire, handing you a cup of Spotchka. "Thanks," you smiled at your friend. "So, how are you enjoying your first harvest festival?" You look at Omera with a soft gaze. "It's great. I love seeing how everyone comes together. It's..." you sigh, "It's a rare thing these days."
And that's true, considering the larger, more metropolitan worlds you've visited seem to have lost all sense of community, everyone too caught up in their own lives, rushing from A to B without a second thought for their neighbours. "It is?" Omera seemed surprised by your answer, but of course she'd never left Sorgan, so this life is all she's known. "Yeah, a lot of people in the galaxy these days tend to keep to themselves, look out for number one." Omera grimaced at the thought of that kind of existence. "I'd hate to live like that." "Yeah, you're lucky here. This place is..." you look around at the heartwarming scene in front of you, one of camaraderie, belonging. "This place is special."
Omera placed a hand on your shoulder. "You mean we're lucky here. This is your home too now." Tears well up in your eyes but you blink them back and look at your feet. While you deeply appreciate what the village has done for you, this could never truly be home. Home is inside the hearts of the two people you love the most in this whole universe. A home you'll never see again. "Mama, Y/N!" Winta comes bounding over to you both, a huge grin lighting up her face. "I made these for you." She placed two little daisy crowns on both your heads.
"Thank you, sweetie. It's beautiful," Omera gushed and placed a kiss on her cheek. "Aww, thank you," you smiled softly. You've grown very fond of Winta over the past month, her happy disposition reminding you so much of Grogu. "I'll wear this proudly all night." With a giggle she turned and ran back to her friends. You watch her laughing and skipping with some of the other kids, and you feel your heart warm at the sight. Your mood quickly shifts, though, when your attention is caught by a toddler (no older than two) running into the waiting arms of his mum and dad.
Watching the sweet embrace, the joy and love so openly displayed sends a wave of pain straight through your heart. So many times Grogu had ran to you and Din like that, like you were both the centre of his universe. If you'd known that life would end, you would have held onto them both and never let go. The familiar numbness you'd been battling over the past month returns, sinking deep into your stomach. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you place your cup down and stand up. "You okay?" Omera asks. "Yeah I... I just need to clear my head. I'll be right back," you try to say casually, hoping Omera didn't notice the slight quaver in your voice.
The outskirts of the village is a little quieter, a little less overwhelming. Finding a boulder you slump down onto it, dipping your face into your hands. You inhale deeply then look up at the cosmos, wondering what Din and Grogu are doing this very moment. Are they well? Do they miss you as much as you do them? You're one hundred percent certain that Grogu misses you, but Din? Well, you can't be too sure anymore. You can't be sure of anything anymore when it comes to Din. He'd told you time and again that he loved you, but if that were true, why did he leave you instead of talking to you, instead of giving you a chance to make amends?
Maybe you'd been foolish this whole time. Maybe you loved -love- him more than he's ever loved you. Of course these thoughts had been swirling around your brain, relentlessly hounding you since that day, and you're still no closer to clarification, except for one harsh truth; that you're expendable, meaningless and not worthy of love, if the one person you'd trusted the most could just turn his back on you. A pained sob breaks free as you bury your face in your hands. In all your years nothing had ever hurt as much as this! Will this feeling lesson over time, granting you the opportunity to to learn to live with it, or will you have to face this bleak void for the rest of your life?
So lost are you in your all consuming spiral that you don't notice the screams at first. It's only when the unmistakable echos of blaster fire ring out that you leap to your feet like a startled Porg. Your immediate thoughts are for your friends. "Omera! Winta!" you scream as you run into the village. It's absolute chaos! Red streaks fly through the air, people screaming in panic as the attackers gain the upper hand. Some women run to nearby huts with their children while other's are being rounded up. The men are fighting back, but without any firearms they stand no chance. 'Winta, Omera! Where are you?!" You push through the throng of panicking people, desperately to catch sight of them amidst the mayhem. It's no use. In the dark and the rush of bodies you can't see them anywhere. "Win- arrrgh!" You hit the ground hard, a white hot burn tearing across your lower back and side. You push yourself up, gasping at the pain and, knowing there's nothing more you can do, you run.
Stumbling through the dark woods with only the moonlight to guide you, your mind tries to make sense of what just happened. Your lungs burn as you push through the woodland. You don't know where you're gong but you keep moving, until your legs can't take it anymore. A sharp pang jolts through your knees as you land on them, sweating and gasping for air. Dizziness and nausea sweep over you like a wave and you dig your fingers into the damp soil to ground yourself. As your breathing becomes less frantic, your head clears, and thats when you feel a warm wetness running down your thigh, soaking your trousers and making them stick to you.
You reach a hand around to where the pain radiates from and when you pull away, you squint at the dark, thick liquid staining your hand. The moonlight isn't bright enough to give you a clear view so you bring your hand to your nose, praying your suspicions are wrong. Your sense of smell is instantly overwhelmed by a strong metallic scent. Blood! "Fuck!" you groan quietly. I've been shot! You begin to tremble as you realise just how dire your situation has become. The sudden sounds of snapping and rustling has you jerking your head in it's direction. Voices follow the noises, telling each other to scour the woodland for any escapees. With a silent groan you force yourself to your feet and keep running.

For the past couple of days, Din has been in mental torture. His visit to Karga hadn't gone the way he'd planned. All he'd wanted was a new bounty to keep his mind off you, but instead he'd been given some harsh truths. And the more he thinks about the conversation, the more he realises what a grievous mistake he has made, his mind constantly replaying the moment he'd had some sense knocked into him.
"Mando!" Greef Karga exclaimed enthusiastically while rising from his desk. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Din clasped his friends' arm and sat down opposite him. "I'm looking for more work." "Straight to the point as usual," Karga chuckled. "I've got a few bounty pucks, but to be honest the reward is so low it probably wouldn't even cover fuel." Din sighed and sat back in the chair. "Anyway, what's the rush? Your last two jobs paid handsomely. Why not take some time off and relax?" "I don't need to relax," Din replied, curtly, his shoulders stiffening with tension. Karga raised an eyebrow at Din's clipped response. "So, uh... how's the little one doing?"
Just the mention of Grogu helped to relax Din's tense posture. "He's good," Din answered, with a hint of affection in his voice. "He's been making new friends at school." Karga smiled at that, then clasped his hands together on the desk in front of him, focusing entirely on the black T of Din's helmet. "And how are you?" Din shrugged, "I'm fine." Karga just kept his gaze, fixing Din with a questioning look. "What?" Din asked awkwardly. "You're not doing yourself any favours by bottling everything up, you know." Din shifted uncomfortably, fists clenching as Karga continued. "Sooner or later it'll all catch up with you and -" "I said I'm fine," Din snapped.
"No you're not fine, Mando! You haven't been 'fine' since you left Y/N on Sorgan. You think I haven't noticed how distracted you've been lately?" Karga sighed and lowered his tone. "The only time you seem okay is when you're around the kid, but even then, I can't help but suspect it's a front. Just go to her. You obviously miss her. Din shook his head and let out long exhale. "Of course I miss her, but it's not that simple. "Why?" Karga asked, clearly confused, "You've redeemed yourself. You have your creed-" "It's not about the creed," Din interrupted in frustration, "It's about trust. I trusted her completely."
"Mando-" karga began but Din continued, "She went against my wishes and disrespected the creed and myself, even if it was to save my life. It was a ... selfish thing she did." Karga's eyebrows shot to his hairline. "Selfish?!" "Yes! She said she couldn't lose me. She only thought about how she would feel, so yes, she was selfish." Karga pressed his lips into a thin line, shaking his head as he did so. "Mando, you're my friend so I'm going to be blunt. That's Bantha shit!!" Din jerked back at Karga's sudden outburst. "She saved your life, knowing that doing so could end with you hating her. She knew what she was risking by removing your helmet, and it wasn't just losing you, but Grogu too. She sacrificed everything so you could live, even if she could no longer be a part of your lives. That is the most selfless thing I've ever heard of."
Din is speechless. He'd been so consumed by, what he'd seen as a betrayal, that he hadn't stopped to consider what it would have really meant for you to let him die. You loved him so much that you'd risked losing everything, just for him. The sudden clarity made his stomach churn and chest tighten under the weight of such a revelation. What the hell had he done?! "I... I never thought of it like that," Din faltered as regret swept through him. "Maybe it's not too late. I'm sure you'll do the right thing," Karga smiled sincerely. Din stood quickly; he needed to get out of there, needed space to think clearly. "Thank you," Din nodded at his friend and rushed outside.
For two days Din had been obsessing over how he can fix everything, but what could he say to excuse his behaviour? Would you forgive him? He couldn't blame you if you wouldn't. He doesn't deserve it. He feels sick to his stomach knowing the pain he's put both you and Grogu through. He has to see you, even if you won't forgive him, he needs you to know how sorry he is and how much he still loves you. Din is brought out of his thoughts by the blinking of his holoprojector, a quick press of the button revealing Greef Karga's hazy image. "Mando," Karga began, "I've just received communication from Captain Carson Teva. He has a proposition for you. I need to discuss this with you in person. Can you come to the office ASAP? It's important."
Din frowned as Karga's image disappeared. He could tell from his voice that something was very wrong. Din slipped his helmet on and made his way to the office. Upon arrival, Din was met with a very somber looking Karga. This can't be good, Din surmised internally. "Thank you for coming in, Mando," Greef said, stretching out an arm for Din to sit. "You said you have work for me from Captain Teva?" Din asked as he took a seat. "Yes... uh, he's had confirmed reports that an organisation of Spice runners have taken control of a planet in a nearby system. There have also been reports of fatalities and enslavement of the local people. As the Planet is part of the Outer Rim Territories," -Din bristled at that, hoping Karga isn't going to say what he thinks he's going to say- "It's not exactly a top priority for the over stretched republic officers. That's why Captain Teva has requested the help of allies nearby. He'll pay 30,000 Galactic Credits."
"Okay..." Din replied, hesitantly, a knot forming in his stomach. Greef closed his eyes and sighed. "Mando..." he looked back up. "It happened on Sorgan. Din's heart dropped to his stomach as the words he didn't want to hear washed over him. He could barely breathe, fear and disbelief choking his airways. The room began to spin and Din had to grip the edge of the desk to steady himself. "When did this happen?" Din pressed, trying to calm his racing mind. "Two days ago, Nevarro time." Din's jaw dropped under his helmet. "Two days!" All this time you'd needed him and he knew nothing of it.
Maker knows what could have become of you in the past two days, that's if you're still- no! He can't even entertain that possibility. You're alive! You're alive and he'll come for you. "Tell Captain Teva I'm on my way!" Din spun around, ready to high tail it out of there, but then stopped abruptly. In his panic he'd completely forgotten about Grogu. Karga raised a hand, already knowing what Din was about to say. "Go. Find her. I'll get the kid from school and he can stay with me until you return." "Thank you," Din replied and ran out of the room.

You're cold, so bloody cold. The icy chill seems to be coming from inside your very bones, your entire body trembling uncontrollably, while a constant layer of sweat coats your skin. The only respite you get is when you lose consciousness. At this point, though, you're not sure what's real and what's not, how often you've woken and how often you've been dreaming becoming harder to distinguish between. After managing to stop the bleeding with a strip of your shirt, you forced yourself onwards until you came across a small cave, finally collapsing in an exhausted heap.
Time has now become meaningless. Maybe you've been here for minutes, maybe hours; there's no way to know. What you do know, even in your delirious state, is that you're in serious trouble, and if you don't get help soon... well, it's game over. Dying alone on a freezing cave floor wasn't how you ever envisioned yourself going out. Every breath is becoming difficult and every slight movement sends a burning jolt through your abdomen. Slowly, you slip back into the calm.
Tumblr media
The fight didn't last long, if it could even be called that. Along with Captain Teva and his men and several other mercenaries, Din wasted no time in obliterating every one of those low life drug runners and freeing the villagers from bondage. Families and friends cried happy tears as they embraced each other, others crying over the loss of a loved one, and an abundance of gratitude and praise was offered up to the liberators. It was a moment of immense joy and relief. However, Din felt none of it as he scanned the crowd. Where the hell are you? he asked himself again and again. With every passing minute Din's composure threatened to shatter.
"Have you seen Y/N anywhere?!" he asked repeatedly as more and more villagers approached him to thank him, every one of them confirming they hadn't seen you. Worry and frustration began to boil within until Din felt like he was going to explode. "Mando!" a sweet little voice cried out, catching Din's attention and pulling him from his imminent spiral. Small arms wrapped around his waist and a head of dark hair nuzzled into his stomach. "Winta." Din gasped in relief, returning her embrace. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Winta looked up with a big grin. "I'm okay. You saved us, thank you!"
Din crouched down to Winta's level, gently holding on to her arms. "Where's your mother? Where's Y/N?" he asked, trying to remain calm. "Mama's over there," winta pointed behind her to where Omera was quickly walking through the crowd towards him. "Mando..." Omera smiled, relief swimming in her brown eyes. "What are you doing here?" "I heard what happened and I had to come. Where is she?" Omera's face dropped at Din's question, taking his heart along with it. "Omera?..." Din hesitated, almost afraid to ask again but he needed to know. "Where's Y/N?"
"I don't know," Omera shook her head while tucking Winta into her side. "I haven't seen her since the attack." Din's chest seized, Omera's confirmation that you weren't there making his stomach swirl with dread. "I can't be sure, it was dark, but I think I saw her run into the woods." A glimmer of hope! "Which way?" Omera pointed to the tree line behind him, tears building in her eyes. "Please bring her back, Mando," she sniffled. "I will," Din declared with determination, placing a reassuring hand on Omera's shoulder. "I promise!" Then Din turned, sprinting towards the forrest as fast as his legs could carry him.
Tumblr media
It didn't take Din long to spot the tell tale signs of disturbance once he'd entered the forrest. Broken branches on bushes, flattened vegetation, and most importantly, footprints. Several different tracks criss crossed the damp soil, some human, some not. Most of the human prints where too big to be you, so Din could easily rule them out, along with the non human tracks. The tracks that caught his attention, though, were sporadic, indicating that whoever they belonged to was in a hurry, but also Physically impaired as the trail was often interrupted by signs of dragging, which could only mean the tracks' owner had stumbled multiple times in their haste to keep moving.
Din swallowed down his rising anxiety at the thought of you being injured, scared and alone. Now's not the time to fall apart. Keep it together, for her! Fortifying himself, Din pushed forward, certain he's on the right path. He engaged the heat signature function in his helmet. It would be useless to track your footsteps now, the heat in them long gone, but if you're in the vicinity, he would easily spot your body heat. Din moved in stealthy silence as he would while tracking quarries, acutely aware of his surroundings. Only this time the stakes were much higher.
Your life is in his hands now. He can't fail you; he wont! He follows the tracks for several more minutes, analysing every minute detail. Rounding the corner of a bush Din stops dead, his muscles freezing as he stares at the ground. There in a patch of dried blood is the beaded bracelet Grogu had made for you in school. He'd recognise it anywhere. His legs turn to jelly and he drops to his knees. Hand trembling he picks it up. Bile rises up his throat at the sight of your blood. It suddenly becomes all too real. This confirms it; you're hurt. You needed him and he wasn't there. Pocketing the bracelet, Din rises to his full height. "Y/N?!" he yelled at the top of his lungs, his body turning in every direction. "Y/N! Where are you?!"
He's met with nothing but the sounds of the forrest and his echoing, modulated voice. "If you can hear me, call out, please!" The last word came out as a desperate plea. Nothing. A thorough scan of the area reveals no body heat signature but you have to be close. The tracks keep going and so does Din. The more he presses on, the more blood he discovers littering the trail. So determined he'd been about finding you, that he'd didn't stop to think about what condition he'd find you in. Would you even be alive? Din shakes the abhorrent thought from his mind.
You're alive. Surely he'd have felt it in his gut if you weren't. Din has become a man possessed, his only mission now is to find you, hold you in his arms and never let any harm befall you ever again. He stalks on, following the tracks for another quarter of a mile until the trail brings him to the mouth of a small cave. This has to be it! With renewed hope, Din charges into the cave, calling your name into the chilled air.
Tumblr media
A series of violent shivers jerk you awake, and with consciousness comes the torturous pain spreading along your side. A trickle of sunlight filters down from a hole in the cave ceiling, bathing part of the area in a warm yellow glow. You groan as everything begins to spin in your vision, shutting your eyes in an attempt to ease the nausea trying to climb up you throat. It's hopeless; you know that now. With every waking moment a little more of your strength ebbs away. Your mind wonders to Din and Grogu. Even if you never physically see them again, at least you'll die seeing them in your memories.
A wistful smile tugs at your mouth as you imagine the antics your precious boy is probably up to at this moment, but your smile slowly drops, sadness settling deep within as the image of Din -both with and without his helmet- comes to the forefront of your mind. You'll die now, without the chance to tell him one last time how much he means to you, and that even though he broke your heart, you forgive him. You hadn't even realised until now that your face is wet, tears running down the temples of your head and into your hairline behind your ears.
"Y/N? !Y/N?! Cyar'ika are you in here?!" Din's frantic voice cuts through your silent despair. It sounds strange, almost as if he's under water. So close, yet so far away. How cruel of your mind to play tricks on you now. You hear the call of your name again, closer and clearer this time. In your disorientation, you turn your head in the direction of the voice. The last thing you see before darkness swallows you again is the gleam of sunlight reflecting off a fast moving mass of silver and black.

Fic idea - Jet kidnaps Izumi... by accident.
Jet survives, but even years after the war has ended he still doesn't trust the Fire Nation one bit, no sir. In the end he decides to say fuck it. Time to see this Fire Lord guy for himself and possibly assasinate him.
He's heard rumors about an upcoming royal visit to the Earth Kingdom and it seems like the perfect oppurtunity to scope out the situation, so he does.
And he gets close, very close actually, to getting to the Fire Lord. He's sitting on the roof of a private residence that is closed off to the public. He knows that the Fire Lord is in there somewhere, he just has to be patient.
While he's lying in wait someone comes out into the courtyard and Jet is fully prepared to attack, but is that... a baby? Why is there a baby here? And the baby (more like toddler really) is toodling closer and closer to the pond in the middle of the courtyard.
Surely someone must be coming for her, right? Jet watches with growing horror as the toddler catches sight of a turtleduck and starts movin way too fast for comfort.
Where the fuck are her irresponsible parents?!
Shit, he can't just watch an innocent toddler drown. Fire baby or not. So he scoops down really quick and gets her. She lets out a small squeak, but Jet is good with babies and bounces her just right to keep her quiet, while she(?) watches him with big golden eyes.
That's of course when all hell breaks loose and things turns sideways. Suddenly loud noises can be heard from inside the home.
"There's an attack!" "Guards, guards! At the north gate!" "Assasins, get the antidotes!"
What. the. fuck. Someone else tried to assasinate the Fire Lord while Jet was lying in wait to do the same thing? This guy must be really unpopular. Said assasins try to escape through the courtyard, and that's when Jet decides to get out of there.
Assasinating the Fire Lord can wait until another day when some stupid poorly planned assasination attempt from someone else isn't screwing up his plans.
So Jet runs, with a toddler under one arm, giggling from being bounced up and down and luckily oblivious to the current crisis.

Azula is the Avatar.
Nobody is more trilled than Ozai.
The most powerful bender in the world, and they've been born into his family, as a firebender. It's a sign, he knows. Azula trains. Azula becomes his weapon.
The rest of the world doesn't stand a chance.
--
Azula is the Avatar.
The tiny toddler waves her hand and pulls a ribbon of water from the turtleduck pond, laughing to her brother to look at what she can do.
Zuko tries his best, but can't do the same.
Iroh watches and breaks into a cold sweat.
---
Azula is the Avatar.
Her mother takes her away with her, and won't turn back or tell Azula why, even when she pleads.
--
Azula is the Avatar. Iroh tells her that her bending is impressive, but she must never show her father. She must never show anyone.
Azula doesn't understand. Isn't this just a sign of how powerful she is?
She shows off her bending in front of her father.
Any amusements she'd been permitted before are immediately taken from her, and her life is a rigid regiment of training. She doesn't see the rest of her family again. She trains hard, becoming her father's weapon.
He's all she has, she must make him proud.
--
Azula is the Avatar, and she shows off her bending in front of her father. The next morning, the princess has been killed.
---
Azula is the Avatar, and something about the graveness in Iroh's voice, the way her mother holds herself, convinces her not to bend earth again. Never to show anyone else what she can do.
She, Zuko, Iroh, and Ursa share the secret between them.
Zuko is exiled and told only finding the Avatar will restore his honor.
For an instant, Azula's heart skips.
But Zuko leaves, knowing full well the Avatar is in the palace.
Alone in the palace with Ozai.
--
Azula is the Avatar.
She trains in secret, bitterly thinking that if she has the power and the ability, there's no way anyone is telling her she can't keep bending anything but fire.
She lives two lives: the perfect Fire Nation Princess with her father, and disguised girl in the city who bends earth and water with the precision of a master.
One day she lets her friends - Mai and Ty Lee - in on her secret. She can trust them not to leave.
Another day, she casually bends the wall open. "Ready to blow this pop stand?" she asks.
--
One day she lets her friends Mai and Ty Lee in on her secret.
She can't trust them not to leave, so she tells them of her power, so they'll know they have to stay with her.
--
Azula is the Avatar, and she stows away on Zuko's ship. By the time she shows herself, it's too late to turn back, and her older brother helps cut her hair to hide herself.
--
Azula is the Avatar, and she trains and bides her time until her father sends her off on a ship of her own.
She brings Mai and Ty Lee, and a small, carefully-chosen group of soldiers and attendants.
Instead of heeding her father's orders, she goes the opposite direction.
--
Instead of heeding her father's orders, she fakes a shipwreck. The three girls go into the Earth Kingdom in disguise.
--
Azula is the Avatar, and after years of being her father's weapon, she turns against him. Ozai is battered by fire, earth, and water together, and Azula takes his throne for her own.
"You should have feared me more."
--
Azula is the Avatar, and she returns to the Fire Nation with all four elements at her hands. She looks Ozai dead in the eyes, wanting him to know exactly who she is.
"You should have feared me more."

The Price of Immortality
(Klaus x Reader) (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Summary: Rebekah Mikaelson forms a forbidden friendship with a mortal, sparking anger in her possessive brother Klaus.
Klaus, determined to protect the family, forces Rebekah to bring her friend to him, only to find himself unexpectedly drawn to her.
Words: 1,995
Rebekah's anxious energy radiated through the quiet house, her footsteps pounding against the smooth wooden floors. The old boards creaked and groaned in response as if they, too, were feeling the weight of her turmoil.
Her fists clenched so tightly that her nails dug into her palms, causing marks to form. Rebekah had welcomed a mortal into her world.
(y/n) was now more than a mere acquaintance; she had become a friend who held Rebekah's trust and affection. This newfound bond was like walking on a tightrope—it meant unveiling to (y/n) perils she couldn't fathom or guard herself against.
She crossed the length of the living room in long strides as if trying to outrun her thoughts.
Her gaze fell upon Elijah, sitting there so composed and collected. A pang of envy shot through her, wishing she could have that same calmness amidst the chaos in her mind.
"Can't sit still, sister?" His voice cut through the silence, a velvet blade.
Rebekah couldn't help but pause, her fingers nervously tracing the back of a worn leather armchair. "Too many thoughts," she replied, her mind racing with the weight of their impending decisions. How could she possibly stay still when so much was on the line? She tried to halt her pacing, but it felt impossible - her restless energy had consumed her entirely.
Rebekah turned to face Elijah, her gaze alight with an unusual spark. "(y/n) is different, Elijah," she began, her voice carrying a note of excitement that was rarely heard. "She's not like us."
Elijah lounged back in his chair, his eyes never straying from Rebekah. His features remained as serene as a still pond. "Human connections can be treacherous territory for our kind, Rebekah," he cautioned, his words tumbling softly through the expansive room. Though delivered gently, they bore the gravity of wisdom wrought from centuries of existence.
Rebekah's stance changed subtly; her arms folded protectively over her chest as if to shield herself from his cautionary words. The atmosphere around her seemed to vibrate with the intensity of her conviction.
"I refuse to let fear guide my actions," she asserted defiantly. Her eyes flamed with determination - a bold challenge to anyone who dared question her resolution.
Elijah's eyebrows rose slightly at this declaration, but he remained silent, prompting Rebekah to continue.
"Being friends with (y/n)... it's strange," she confessed after a momentary pause, her voice softer now. "When I'm around her, I feel... human." She glanced away briefly as though the admission cost her something.
Elijah regarded his sister thoughtfully before responding. "Human?" He echoed curiously.
"Yes," she affirmed earnestly, meeting his gaze once more. "She makes me feel alive in ways I haven't felt in centuries."
"And you consider this a good thing?" Elijah asked cautiously.
Rebekah nodded without hesitation. "Yes," she said firmly. "Because she's my best friend and that friendship is worth whatever risks it brings."
Elijah's expression remained unreadable as he contemplated his sister's words. He understood how important her friendship was to her but also knew the risks that came with it for their kind. Nevertheless, he couldn't deny Rebekah's happiness.
"I will support you on this," he finally replied, a weight lifting off Rebekah's shoulders. She let out a sigh of relief and sank into the armchair next to Elijah.
For a few moments, they sat in silence, each lost in their own thoughts. Rebekah couldn't help but wonder what would happen if (y/n) found out the truth about what she and her family were.
"Do you think...do you think she could handle our lives?" Rebekah asked quietly, breaking the silence between them.
Elijah turned to face her, his gaze softening. "I don't know, but I do know if she's friends with you, then she must be strong," he answered truthfully." But we must tread carefully."
Rebekah nodded in understanding, knowing that caution was necessary when it came to matters of the heart for vampires like them.
Just then, another thought crossed her mind, and her eyes widened with realization. "What about Niklaus?" she exclaimed.
Elijah's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What about him?"
Rebekah let out a frustrated huff. "He can be very... possessive over those he cares about," she explained.
Elijah let out a small chuckle at his sister's statement. "Yes, I am aware," he said wryly.
"We just have to make sure he doesn't find out about (y/n)," Rebekah added with determination.
Elijah placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We will handle Niklaus if and when the time comes," he reassured her.
Relieved by his words, Rebekah leaned back into her chair.
Klaus loomed outside the room, his body taut with rage just beyond the threshold. His jaw clenched tightly, a visible manifestation of the seething tension within him. He could hear every single syllable being spoken, each word adding to his already boiling anger like a final piece in a puzzle.
His siblings thought they were so clever, but he was not fooled. They believed they could hide something from him, nonetheless a human.
The conversation inside continued unabated, yet neither sibling noticed the shadow that listened from the hallway. Rebekah's stance never wavered; her eyes remained fixed on Elijah, daring him to counter her declaration.
Klaus, unseen and unheard, absorbed it all—the defiance in Rebekah's tone, the unspoken undercurrents of the exchange. His presence was a specter at the edge of this unfolding drama.
Klaus pressed his back against the cold, smooth wall of the hallway. His eyes darted around the name (y/n), which echoed in his mind like a warning bell, causing every muscle in his body to tense up. Who was this woman, and what did she want with Rebekah? Klaus's thoughts raced with suspicion and curiosity, igniting a primal urge to protect his family at all costs. Each question sparked a new surge of adrenaline, reminding him of his predatory instincts that had kept him alive for centuries. Klaus pushed himself off the wall and entered the room with his silhouette filling the doorway. The sound of the door clicking shut added a sense of foreboding to his entrance. As he made his way toward the center, his footsteps echoed loudly, each one a deliberate reminder of his power and authority.
Klaus's piercing gaze scanned over his siblings, their bodies tense and ready for battle in the dimly lit room. His eyes gleamed like sharp blades, cutting through the air with a dangerous energy. Rebekah stared back at him, unafraid and unyielding, while Elijah's expression tightened with a silent understanding of the underlying tension. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as Klaus silently weighed his next move.
"Good evening," Klaus finally broke the silence. The words dripped from his lips like honey masking his true intentions with false pleasantries.
Rebekah nodded, a subtle lift of her chin. No smiles were exchanged, and no pleasantries were required. They all understood the gravity of the moment, the weight of questions left hanging in the air.
Within the elegant room, the game of cat and mouse began. Klaus circled, a predator assessing his territory. Rebekah stood firm among shifting sands. Elijah watched on, a silent guardian, his presence a reminder of the delicate balance they all navigated.
"What are my siblings discussing," Klaus drew, his words hanging heavy in the air. His fingers drum rhythmically on the worn wood of a table. His gaze was focused on Elijah, knowing well that his brother's keen perception could always slice through any pretense he wore.
"Nothing that would entertain you, brother," Elijah responded, his voice a serene lullaby against the storm brewing beneath their conversation. His eyes never left Klaus, a silent challenge in their depths.
Rebekah interjected then, her tone attempting to be light and carefree but carrying an unmistakable edge. "Elijah and I were just discussing our plans for this year's Mardi Gras party."
Klaus' lips curled into a slow smile at her words. The tension coiled tighter between them as he absorbed this piece of information - another cover up, another attempt by his siblings to exclude him from their affairs. But he knew better than anyone how to play this game.
"Charming," came his response, every syllable laced with a frosty mockery that caused an involuntary shudder to ripple down Rebekah's spine. "I trust you're not scheming anything too... elaborate." His gaze locked onto hers then, a silent vow that no matter what secrets they whispered in shadowed corners, Klaus Mikaelson was forever one stride ahead.
Klaus' fury didn't burst forth immediately. Instead, it simmered and seethed beneath the surface of his stony expression. His fingers curled around a vase with a grip that defied human capability. The tension hung heavy in the air as he held it there for a moment longer than necessary before propelling it violently against the wall.
The glass exploded into countless fragments, their impact ricocheting through the room. The sound reverberated off the walls and echoed back at them, amplifying the chaos of shattered crystal.
Rebekah recoiled instinctively as if bracing herself against a physical blow. Her eyes clamped shut as she mentally fortified herself against her brother's impending storm.
"Finished with your deception, or still intent on clouding my judgment?" he retorted sharply.
The room choked on a stifling unease; each breath held hostage by the anticipation of his impending verdict.
His words shattered the silence, sending a jolt through the room and making the floor shake beneath them.
His voice roared with a raw fury that rattled the very walls, every uttered sound seething with corrosive disdain: "This insignificant mortal, this (y/n)—what spell has she cast over you to make you risk our destruction?"
Rebekah's entire body tensed, her jaw clenched as she stared defiantly back at Klaus. "She's a friend, Klaus," she repeated through gritted teeth.
Doubt flashed in his eyes, his lips twisting into a cruel sneer. "A friend, Rebekah? Or just another one of your disposable food sources?"
Rebekah fought against the urge to lunge at her brother. Elijah stood nearby, his stoic expression showing disapproval but making no move to stop the impending confrontation. The tension in the room crackled like lightning as the siblings faced off, their bond strained by centuries of betrayal and bloodshed.
Klaus stalked closer to Rebekah, his predatory gaze assessing her every reaction. His patience was wearing thin, and his frustration was mounting with each passing second. There would be no more secrets, not under his rule.
The tension crackled between them like electricity, sparks flying from their fierce gazes. "I'm done playing your games, sister," he snarled, his voice dripping with venom.
Rebekah didn't flinch. "Then I suggest you get comfortable being tired, brother."
His face twisted into a mask of rage. "Watch your mouth."
She laughed bitterly. "Hollow threats from an empty man."
He took a menacing step forward, his eyes blazing with fury. "You have until tomorrow afternoon to bring her to me, or else I'll make sure your death sentence lasts for five hundred years." His words hung in the air like a deadly promise, sending shivers down Rebekah's spine. She knew that he meant every word.
Klaus turned on his heel and left the room.
Elijah turned to her, his eyes filled with sorrow.
"She doesn't deserve this, Elijah," Rebekah's voice was but a whisper in the desolate room. "She's innocent."
Elijah's gaze softened, sympathy coloring his stern features. "I know, Rebekah," he said quietly.
"And yet you stand with him?"
"Elijah responded with a solemn nod, his gaze never wavering from hers. "It's not about siding with Klaus, Rebekah. It's about survival."
Rebekah blinked back, furious tears as she turned away from her brother. The rooms of the Mikaelson mansion suddenly seemed too small, too suffocating. He'd sided with Klaus out of fear—fear for the fragile mortal life that hung in the balance between them.

All right, besties. I had my days of depression and (bad) ideations, I had my flare of anger. It's easy to fall into despair, but let's focus that energy to thinking further ahead. Firstly: by focusing on our health and eating.
You've probably noticed in the last few months, a lot of food recalls from the FDA. The majority of these, particularly the most recent ones around heavily processed chicken in ready-meals and beef in fast food restaurants, are a direct result of the 45th president cutting back health regulations in industrialized food production four to six years ago that we're just now seeing the results of as it's gone through the process and finally hit shelves.
Now would be a good time to start looking into your local farmer's markets and sourcing your meats and produce from locally owned farms you trust. Start developing a good relationship with your local farmers and butchers. When you go to see them, just get to know them and ask some general questions.
A lot of these places are family run, particularly if you're not close to a large metropolitan area. So when you go to see these folks and they make small talk (because they will, they want to know what brought you out, how'd you find their farm, what kinds of meats and cuts and whatever you're looking for, just genuine small talk), do not bring up politics or USDA regulations. Literally just tell them that you're interested in sourcing and supporting local agriculture and farming (which is true, you are wanting to get away from big corporate industrialized meat production).
If your area has a good farmer's market during the spring/summer/fall, absolutely hit that up. The one close by me not only has good meats and produce, but also honey, different kinds of cheeses, all sorts of things. Farmer's markets closer to a city or metropolitan area will usually only be on weekends during the warmer seasons so keep an eye out and check out any options you have.
I'll give a starting resource for you: https://www.localharvest.org/locations/
Any local farms or farmer's markets that are registered there in the mainland US will have some listings there with hours of operation, location and what they produce, as well as if they're a farm, a farmer's market, a grocery, or a local restaurant, as well as reviews. Use that and source further and find other farms that aren't registered on that site that may have more of what you're looking for. The farming community talk to each other and they know what's up with the other farms.
If you want to go out and pick your own produce (berries, fruits, etc), there's https://upickfarmlocator.com/ that will show you any "u-pick" farms and orchards in your area. It's a pretty in depth resource that I'd recommend using if you're able to go out and do that.
There are a few urban harvesting resources like fallingfruit, but I'm not as familiar with that so I can't in good faith recommend it until I've done some research into it myself.
I'm mostly familiar with chicken farms and fish ponds so I can't provide much insight to cattle or game meat, unfortunately. If anyone who sees this post is familiar, please feel free to add on. I'm also not a source for how to skin your meat or pluck your birds, so again, if anyone seeing this has any insight, please please add on to this.
Let's keep each other healthy and strong so we can fight the good fight ahead of us. The biggest advice I can give to anyone starting this journey is to research. Research anything you're interested in and don't give up.
I'll update this post with any other resources I find, or that others add on. This post is recent as of 2024-11-08.
(And yes, I know, before anyone comes rushing in, I understand this is not as easy for larger metropolitan areas or food deserts. Yes I know not everyone has the ability to go out and do this, and not everyone has easy transportation to haul goods back. This is where the "community" part comes if you can coordinate a group renting a car or someone who does drive to get everyone out there and back. And yes, before other folks come in, I understand sometimes it's better to grow your own produce and raise your own livestock, this is for the folks who don't have the ability to whether that's because of physical disabilities, lack of space [Hi, I live in a condo and have no space to grow my own in fact], or any other reason why they can't.)

also a pack of stickers i made for the same zine. you won't be able to buy them so, if some you want, you cant just print them by yourself, but not for commercial use, i hope i can trust you🙏 translation and explanation (as a big meme enjoyer i used my favorites russian memes here): "Держи эчпiчмак" - "have an Uchpochmak" a Tatar and Bashkir national dish, a triangular pastry, filled with chopped meat, onion and potatoes. "Не понимаю. Не получатся." - "I don't understand. I can't do it. *how to control a TARDIS*" "- Смотрите Понды, ето Татарстан - Госпади как красива!" - "Look Ponds its Tatarstan. Deer lord its so beaudiful" (Tatarstan is a memetic region like Ohio, idk how to explain it better)

Ooh, Okie dokie! (I forgot to label myself in my little question haha - it's me, 😊 anon!)
Can I request Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu having a crush on an Autistic Reader?
The reader is mostly nonverbal - only speaking using short words/sentences - unless they're talking to someone they've grown to really trust, to animals (such as their crow companions), or about animals - which they have learned lots of trivia about. They may also stim - usually by rocking side to side when bored or flapping/clapping their hands when excited. They're happy to receive physical contact but can be overwhelmed by constant loud noise (such as shouting or music.)
(I hope that wasn't too long - I hope you have a lovely day! ✨)
The Kamaboko Trio With An Autistic S/O
Characters: Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Insouke Hashibira Requester: 😊Anon A/N: I haven't written for Demon Slayer in such a long time so the characters may be slightly OOC. These are also fairly short, just noting! But, I do hope you enjoy this! Have a great rest of your days/nights!!! ⚠️ Spoilers/Trigger Warnings for: Nothing ⚠️
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
Tumblr media
╚═════ Tanjiro Kamado ══════════════════════════╝
😺 When Tanjiro first met you, he was slightly confused as to why you rarely spoke longer sentences. But, in his fashion, he put that behind and stayed positive around you
😺 Whenever he notices your stims getting worse or more erratic, he holds your hand and allows you to mess with his. He also likes seeing how you would help Nezuko with her hair, using the physical action as another way to use a stim
😺 He is amazing with animals himself, getting along with pretty much every creature he finds. So, when you walked around the Butterfly Mansion with small birds and one of your pets, a Japanese dwarf flying squirrel that you named Kiyoshi, he got along with the cute rodent quick and easily
😺 Whenever you are set to be on a mission with him and the others (Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko), he tries to keep them quieter so you don't get overwhelmed
😺 Sometimes, he enjoys staying awake at night and ask you about some animals that he has either seen around or was wondering about. Such as a Japanese Macaque or a Sika Deer
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
Tumblr media
╚═════ Zenitsu Agatsuma ════════════════════════╝
⚡ This guy, oof!
⚡ He had a hard time understanding you at first. But that was mainly because you rarely spoke and were extremely loving to almost every animal that you guys came across
⚡ I mean, you literally would attract any other Slayer's crow, which made Zenitsu roll his eyes stubbornly. How come you were such an animal magnet while his own crow (or rather sparrow) pecked at him whenever he tried holding him!
⚡ Anyways, he does like seeing how you handle demons, putting your own issues behind just to help out anybody in danger, whether they were children or adults or in between
⚡ Zenitsu may not show it fully, but he does like watching you play with your pet Koi fish when they were swimming around in your/Mitsuri's estate's back pond
⚡ No doubt simps even harder whenever you mess with his hands or wear his haori. He literally stands there with a goofy grin on his face as he giggles at your actions
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
Tumblr media
╚═════ Inosuke Hashibira ════════════════════════╝
🐗 Inosuke is a very rambunctious person by nature. And he is surprisingly good around animals, due to growing up alongside them all his childhood
🐗 So, when you came around and seemingly calmed down a boar in front of him, he yelled your name and asked how you knew what they were thinking, in which you laughed and tried explaining to the best of your ability
🐗 He also had great hearing and understanding of body language. So if you were to speak with a lower tone or not be able to finish a sentence, he understands what you want to say without asking you to repeat like others
🐗 Smiling at him also makes him feel good, so whenever you do so if you can't gain the urge to speak to him, his chest puffs out as he goes on a rant of 'of course you smile at the King of the Mountain' and whatnot
🐗 By far the second best with an Autistic reader when it comes to this trio, the way he grew up helps him understand you better than the others easily

Playing House - Luke Hughes
Tumblr media
Summary: Tori makes the decision to introduce Riley to Luke
content: angst, some fluff, arguing, kissing, money issues
wc: 2.5k
notes: here it is! as requested by one of my anons :)) this is part 5 of the done trying series! here we goooo
Tori woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing repeatedly on the bedside table. She groaned, reaching out to silence it, but the name on the screen made her sit up immediately.
John Marino.
"Hello? Is everything okay?"
"Hey, Tori. Sorry to call you so early. Riley wanted to talk to you."
Her heart melted at the sound of her son's voice. "Mama! Hi!"
"Hi, baby! Are you having fun with Dada, Nanny, and Pop?"
"Yes! We has pancakes!"
"That sounds so yummy! Are you being a good boy?"
"Uh-huh. Miss 'oo, Mama!"
"I miss you too, Ri-Ri! I'll see you super soon though, okay?"
"O-tay! 'Uv 'oo!"
"Love you too, Riley. Be good for Dada."
She heard John take the phone back. "He just wanted to say hi. I'll bring back tomorrow morning, as planned."
"Right. Thanks, Johnny. See you then."
As she hung up, she felt Luke stir beside her. He blinked a few times, then smiled sleepily. "G'morning."
"Morning, Lu," she replied, leaning in to kiss him. "Riley called. He misses me."
"Of course he does. Who wouldn't?" he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "So, what's the plan today?"
"I was thinking we could relax for a bit, then maybe go for a walk? Show you around the neighbourhood."
"Sounds perfect," he murmured, his voice still heavy with sleep. "But first, more cuddles."
Tori laughed, snuggling into his chest. "Deal."
Later that morning, they were walking hand in hand through the park near Tori's apartment. The sun was shining, and the air was warm- the perfect day to be outside. The found a spot near the small pond, enjoying the peacefulness.
"I love this place," Luke said, looking around. "It's nice and calm. Feels like we're not even in the city at all. Miles away from everything."
"It's been my little escape since we moved here. Riley loves it too. He calls it the 'duck park' 'cause of all the ducks, which unfortunately sounds like 'fuck park' when he says it, but we move."
Luke laughed. "I can't wait to meet him properly. I hope he likes me."
"He will," Tori assured, squeezing his hand. "You're great with kids. I've seen how patient and kind you are with all the kids that come to fan events."
"I guess. But this... this is different. This is your son. I like need to make a good impression."
"You will, Lu. Trust me."
The rest of their day was spent adventuring. They walked around the neighbourhood, talking about everything and nothing. By they time they arrived back at Tori's apartment, they were both beyond tired.
As they settled onto the couch to watch a movie, Tori's phone buzzed again. This time a text from John instead of a call.
Can we talk tomorrow when I drop off Riley?
Tori sighed, "Looks like John wants to talk tomorrow. Probably about you."
Luke nodded, "Figures. But we'll deal with it... together."
"Together," she grinned. Luke chuckled, pressing a loving kiss to her cheek. She shook her head, pulling him in for a proper kiss.
"Together."
Tori was a bundle of nerves the next morning. She busied herself by tidying up the apartment, acting like her two-year-old would notice whether or not the place was clean. Luke tried to reassure her multiple times, even trying to pull her back into bed, but she could clearly see the tension in his eyes too.
"I- Luke I think I should talk with John alone to start. I know him... and he'd just get angrier if you were there."
"But I want to help you, Vic. I wanna be there to back you up."
"I know, babe. But... just trust me on this one."
"Fine. But if he raises his voice, even just a little, I'm coming in to beat his ass."
Finally, there was a knock at her door. Tori opened it to find Johns standing there with Riley. She felt a knot form in her stomach as John stepped into the apartment, his expression grim. Riley was already distracted, happily playing with his toys in the living room, , with Luke sitting nearby, making car noises to match Riley’s play. She took a deep breath and led John into the kitchen, bracing herself for the confrontation she knew was coming.
"What's this about you introducing Luke to Riley?" John started, his voice low but edged with anger.
Tori crossed her arms, trying to keep her composure. "John, Luke is an important part of my life now. Riley needs to know who he is. Slowly. We'll take it slowly."
"An important part of you life?" John scoffed. "You've barely even been together. He's just another hockey player. He'll probably just break your heart. You really think that's a good idea for Riley? For our son?"
"It's not about him being a hockey player. You know I'm not a puck bunny, John," Tori shot back, her frustration showing. "It's about him being someone else who cares about me and in extension cares about Riley. Someone who wants to be there for us."
In the living room, Luke was playing with Riley, making sure the little boy was entertained. He could hear the heated conversation in the kitchen and felt a pang of concern. He wanted to support Tori, to show John that he genuinely cared for Riley, but he respected Tori's wish to handle it herself.
"Hey, buddy, wanna race cars?" Luke asked Riley, trying to keep his focus on the child.
Riley giggled, nodding enthusiastically. "Yes! Vroom! Vroom!"
John shook his head, his fists clenching at his sides. "You barely known him! Wh- what if he leaves you?"
Tori's eyes narrowed. "You don't get to judge my decisions, John. I'm careful, I don't let just anyone in like this. Luke isn't like other people. He cares about me. And he wants to care about Riley too."
"And you think that's enough?" John challenged. "Does he have what it takes to be a dad? You think just because he says he cares, it's okay to bring him into my son's life? What if Riley gets attached and then Luke leaves? Huh? What if Riley gets hurt?"
"Riley deserves to have people in his life that love him. And Luke wants to do that. He wants to be there for Riley, to be a positive influence."
John sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I just... I don't want Riley to get hurt, Tori. He's already been through so much."
"I know," Tori replied gently. "But keeping him away from people isn't the answer. Luke isn't trying to replace you, John. You'll always be his dad. He's just trying to be there for Riley, to be a friend."
Luke turned to Riley, who was now making his toy car zoom circles around the coffee table.
"You're doing great, Riley!"
Luke looked back to the kitchen, then at Riley, weighing the situation. He took a deep breath and called out, "Tori, maybe I should talk to John too."
Tori turned her head to Luke, her eyes softening. "I appreciate it, Luke, but this is conversation that we need to have alone."
John also glanced towards the living room, his expression hardening at the sight of his son playing with Luke. "If he has something to say, he should say it now."
Tori reached out, placing a comforting hand on John's arm. "John, please. Let's just talk, okay? Don't... don't worry about Luke right now."
They stood in silence for a moment, the tension slowly easing. Finally, John nodded, though he still looked conflicted. "Okay, fine. But if he ever hurts Riley, Tori, I won't forgive him. Or you."
"He won't. I promise."
John sighed again, the fight leaving him. "Okay. I will try to be civil."
"Thank you," Tori smiled. "For Riley's sake."
John nodded, heading towards the door. "Bye, Riley. Dada will see you later. You have fun with Mama and Luke."
"Bye, Dada! 'Uv 'oo!"
"I love you too, baby."
After John left, the atmosphere in the apartment lightened. Luke continued to play with Riley, who was still a bit hesitant but seemed to overall enjoy Luke's company. Tori watched them for a moment, her heart filling with love and affection for both her son and Luke.
"Hey, Riley, do you wanna show Luke your favourite car?" Tori suggest, kneeling next to her son.
Riley looked up at his mom and then back at Luke, his small fingers fidgeting with a toy car. He seemed unsure, glancing between the two, seeking reassurance from his mom.
"It's okay, bud," Luke said softly, smiling at the toddler. "I'd love to see your favourite car."
Riley slowly reached out, handing Luke a small fire truck. "Dis one," he murmured, still clinging to Tori's side.
"Wow, this is a really cool fire truck!" Luke said, examining it with genuine interest. "Does it make sounds?"
Riley nodded, pressing a button that made the fire truck's siren wail. He glanced up at Luke to see his reaction.
"That's awesome!" Luke exclaimed, his enthusiasm making Riley smile.
Encouraged by Riley's reaction, Tori suggest they go to the park. "How about we take your fire truck to the park, Ri-Ri? We can play on the playground and look at the ducks."
"Yes!" They all put their shoes and headed out, Riley clutching his fire truck tightly.
At the park, Riley stayed close to Tori at first, his eyes wide as he observed the other children playing. Luke sat down on the grass, setting up a small area with Riley's toys.
"Riley, look! We can drive your fire truck on this road," Luke grinned, drawing a pretend road in the dirt with a stuck.
Riley watched for a moment, inching closer, intrigued by the game. He glanced at Tori, who nodded encouragingly.
"It's okay, sweetheart. Go play with Luke."
Riley finally sat next to the boy, still a bit tentative but clearly interested. He placed his fire truck down and together they drove it along the makeshift road, adding little sound effects and making up stories about rescues.
As they played, Riley's shyness began to fade. He started to laugh more, his small voice growing more confident as he directed the fire truck and explained a story to Luke. Tori watched on with a smile, feeling an immense sense of relief.
After some time at the park, they headed back home for lunch. Tori prepared sandwiches while Luke and Riley played with more toys in the living room. Riley was now fully engaged, laughing as Luke pretended to be a new character in their game.
"Mama, 'ook! 'uke is dino!" He exclaimed, pointing at Luke, who was stomping around and making growling noises.
Tori laughed, setting the plate of sandwiches on the table. "That's awesome, Ri! Let's eat lunch, and then we can play some more."
The next few hours were spent playing, completely skipping over Riley's afternoon nap completely. He was too busy playing with Luke.
Dinner time was always an adventure with Riley. As they sat around the small kitchen table, Tori served up plates of spaghetti, Riley's favourite food after mac and cheese. Luke took a seat next to Riley, who was already eagerly stabbing at the noodles with his little plastic fork.
"'Ook, 'uke! I do it all mine-self." Riley exclaimed, proudly showing off his newfound skill.
Luke watched with an amused smile as Riley attempted to twist the spaghetti onto his fork, only to have most of it slip back onto his plate. Undettered, Riley tried again, managing to get a very small clump of noodles into his mouth.
"Great job, buddy!" Luke praised, genuinely impressed by Riley's determination.
Riley beamed, his face lighting up with joy. "Tank 'oo! Mama show me."
"You're doing great, Ri-Ri. But remember to take small bites," Tori added.
As dinner continued, Riley's enthusiasm led to more spaghetti ending up on the table and his high chair than in his mouth. He giggled as a particularly long noodle dangled from his chin.
Luke couldn't help but laugh. "You're making quite the mess, little man," he said, reaching over to wipe a bit of sauce off Riley's cheek.
"'Ghetti is fun! 'Ook, 'uke!"
With that, Riley took another forkful of noodles and lifted it high, causing several noodles to fall on the table. He giggled, kicking his feet, waiting for Luke's reaction.
"Whoa, that's some impressive skill. You might need to teach me how to do that."
Tori shook her head in mock exasperation. "You two are a pair," she said fondly. "But let's try to keep some of the food on the plate, okay?"
Riley nodded, his face serious as he tried to be more careful. Despite the mess, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and laughter. Luke felt like he belonged, enjoying the simple moment with his girlfriend and her son.
After dinner, they all moved to the living room for some relaxation. Tori flipped through their apps on the TV before settling on "Paw Patrol," one of Riley's favourites.
"Patrol!" Riley cheered, clapping his hands as he snuggled into Tori's lap.
Luke sat beside them, throwing his arm over Tori's shoulder. "I've heard a lot about these puppies. Which one is your favourite?"
"What his name, Mama?"
"Marshall, bubba."
"Dat one!" Riley pointed at the screen where the fire pup was making a daring rescue with his friends.
"That's a good choice, bud," Luke nodded, making a mental note to research the rest of the characters in the show.
As the episode played, Riley's eyes remained glued to the screen, occasionally glancing up at Tori and Luke with a large green. Luke couldn't help but feel his heart swell at the sight. The little boy was growing on him, and quickly.
After the episode ended, Tori stood up and stretched. "Alright, Ri-Ri. Bathtime."
Riley pouted, but slid off the couch. "O-tay, Mama."
Luke followed them, watching as Tori began filling the tub with warm water, adding a generous amount of bubble bath.
"Need any help?" Luke asked.
"Sure," Tori laughed, handing him a cup. "You can rinse his hair."
Riley splashed happily, creating mountains of bubbles. Luke carefully poured water over Riley's head, using his hand to shield the boy's eyes.
"You've got this down, buddy," Luke said, impressed by how easy the toddler was being.
"Tank 'oo, 'uke! Bubbles are mine favourite!"
"Mine too."
Once Riley was clean and wrapped in a fluffy towel, they all headed to Tori's bedroom for storytime. Riley picked out a book he loved to read over and over again, "Goodnight Moon." He climbed onto the bed, snuggling between Tori and Luke.
Tori began reading, her voice soft and soothing. Riley leaned against her, his eyes growing heavy. Luke listened intently, feeling a sense of peace wash over him.
"Night-night, Mama. Night-night, 'uke," Riley murmured, already drifting off to sleep.
Luke picked him up, carrying him down the hall to his room. Once he was settled in his crib, they closed the door quietly behind them. Tori turned to Luke, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you for helping me tonight. It means a lot to me. And to Riley too."
Luke wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "It was my pleasure, V. I loved every minute of it."
Together, they made their way back to the living room, ready to enjoy the rest of their evening, knowing they were building something special not just for themselves but for Riley too.
Victoria prayed it would stay that way...

First interraction with Marcus volturi and any character you want please 💗
𝕸𝖆𝖗𝖈𝖚𝖘 𝖁𝖔𝖑𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖎
It was winter in Italy, and the coldest one yet. At least in your short lifetime. Visiting family and friends who lived here was always such good fun, though there wasn't as much to do here in the small town of Volterra in comparison to home. Yes there were markets and cafe's, but it still wasn't home.
The thought was shaken from you by the cold icy breeze. When you were a child and thought 'Italy', you were surrounded by the ideas of tanning and boats, gelato and galleries. Not the current minuses in temperature and frost, nor the redness of your nose and jutter in your shoulders. Just two weeks, and then home you shall arrive. But for now this pond isn't too bad a view.
"Cold, Tesoro?" A voice shakes you from your stupor, low and gravelly. Wizzing your head around to meet his gaze, you find eyes almost as black as the depths of the murky pond, onyx in a way unseen until now.
"A little, sir." As you speak you notice him begin to remove his cloak, a black that blends in with the midnight, looking as if it were a colour sample from the night itself. Your hand somehow raises itself, a motion attempted to stop him. And yet it does not. "I'll be fine. Really."
"Doubtful" is all he gives in return, taking a place by your side as if it was the most natural thing in the world - instinct. Your brows furrow and our heart quickens just the littlest.
"Who are you, anyway?" It comes out brash, rude almost despite you not having meant it this way. It would be understandable, though. A strange man wrapping his cloak around you in the middle of the night, and staying silently by your side. Luckily enough he chuckles, obviously finding something humorous about the moment.
"Who am I?" Though you cannot see his face as you both gaze upon the pond, you can hear the grin in his voice, the amusement he finds in this little interaction. "My name is Marcus. I occupy and own the castle grounds you are trespassing on, as well as the water and fish we are watching, tesoro."
"Trespassing?" You can almost feel life itself draining from you in dread of the trouble you might have accidentally caused. Who was he? Hopefully you hadn't somehow angered the man who owns a bloody castle. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. I can lea-"
He stops you from removing the cloak he had draped over you, halting your voice with a simple hand raise. Figures it works on you and not the other way round. Finally, he turns his body toward you fully and allows you to see his full face. Pale yet inviting. Old and wise, yet young and hopeful. "There will be no need for that, dearest. You are welcome here. In fact, do you wish to see my library? Perhaps it shall be yours one day too."
And though every bone inside of you should be screaming stranger danger you cannot help but trust him somehow. Somehow, when your arm links with his you can do nothing but melt into his touch. Somehow, when you enter inside him warm and inviting home and learn of it all, you can't help but bare your neck and entrust yourself. Damned Italian winter.
Though you and your husband are now eternally colder.

A Heart Fiercely Protected
Summary: Sanemi, the Wind Hashira, battles jealousy as his protective instincts flare when Y/N, tends to Tanjiro and his friends. After a tense moment, Y/N reassures Sanemi of her love for him.
Warnings: None.
Note: I do plan on writing for someone that isn't Sanemi.
Tumblr media
The sun had just begun to dip below the horizon, casting a warm, golden hue over the Butterfly Mansion. The peaceful sounds of the garden mixed with the faint chatter from inside the mansion, creating a serene atmosphere. You moved gracefully through the corridors, your gentle smile lighting up the faces of those you passed. Your caring nature had earned you the admiration and affection of everyone around you.
Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, watched you from a distance, his usual stern expression softening as he observed your kindness. You were tending to Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, who had just arrived, helping Aoi with their treatment. Sanemi's chest tightened with an unfamiliar sensation—jealousy. He clenched his fists, feeling an irrational surge of anger. He knew how much he loved you, how fiercely protective he was of you, and seeing Tanjiro, someone he already had a strained relationship with, taking up your attention was unbearable.
Earlier that day, there had been an incident with one of the mansion's servants. The servant had raised his voice at you, and Sanemi had nearly lost control. The memory of your startled expression, the way your eyes had filled with tears, haunted him. He had come within a hair’s breadth of ending the servant's life, his anger only tempered by your soft plea for mercy.
"Sanemi, please," you had whispered, your gentle touch on his arm the only thing that had brought him back from the brink. He had glared at the servant one last time before storming off, his heart pounding with the intensity of his emotions.
Now, he stood in the shadows, watching you laugh softly with Tanjiro. The boy’s earnest expression as he spoke with you only fueled Sanemi’s jealousy. He should be the one making you smile like that. He should be the one basking in your warmth.
Unable to bear it any longer, Sanemi stepped forward, his presence immediately drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Tanjiro looked up, his smile faltering slightly at the sight of the Wind Hashira’s intense gaze."Y/N," Sanemi's voice was gruff, betraying his inner turmoil. "I need to talk to you."
You turned to him, concern flickering in your eyes. "Of course, Sanemi. Is everything alright?"
He nodded curtly, not trusting himself to speak further. You excused yourself from the others and followed him outside, where the evening air was cool and refreshing. The garden was bathed in the soft light of twilight, the flowers around you adding a sweet fragrance to the atmosphere.
Sanemi stopped by the koi pond, his back to you. You could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his hands were clenched at his sides. Gently, you reached out, placing a hand on his arm.
"Sanemi," you said softly, "what's wrong?"
He turned to face you, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. "I can't stand seeing you with him," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "With any of them."
You blinked in surprise. "Sanemi, they're just friends. I'm helping Aoi take care of them. There's nothing to worry about."
"It's not that simple," he muttered, looking away. "I can't help it. I get jealous. I know it's stupid, but... I love you. I can't stand the thought of anyone else taking your attention away from me."
Your heart ached at his words, and you stepped closer, placing a hand on his cheek. "Sanemi, you don't have to be jealous. My heart belongs to you. You're the one who protects me, who loves me. I care about them as friends, but you... you're everything to me."
He looked down at you, the fierce protectiveness in his eyes softening slightly. "You mean that?"
"Of course I do," you replied, smiling gently. "You have nothing to worry about."
Sanemi let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding, his shoulders relaxing. He pulled you into his arms, holding you tightly as if afraid you might slip away.
"I'm sorry," he murmured into your hair. "I just... I can't lose you."
"You won't," you whispered back, wrapping your arms around him. "I'm here, Sanemi. Always."

Fully Underwater Lot Tutorial
@creida-sims @kitkat99
Some warnings and disclaimers
1. This is not a beginner tutorial. I have tried to explain with as much detail as I can, but still, if you just started playing The Sims 2 I recommend trying out other building tutorials first.
2. I have tested it but there's always a possibility that some new problems will come up. Follow at your own risk. Backup your neighborhoods before trying this. Test it first in a new empty neighborhood.
3. These lots are roadless, so they require specific gameplay conditions to avoid breaking immersion (pun intended).
4. They will behave like normal lots in the sense that sims can walk around and do anything as if they were on land. There's one big problem to consider: when sims go fully underwater, their hair and some parts of their clothing might disappear visually.
So this is more useful for structures that sit above the water, shallow water that doesn't reach a sim's head or, with some modifications, small islands surrounded by water. So unless you want bald mermaids, I don't recommend this for sims that live underwater.
5. If you use Voeille's hood water mod, reflections will look glitchy in lot view, because this is technically not a beach lot. The only solution I found is enabling "Lot view ocean reflections" in RPC Launcher. Otherwise you'll have to deal with glitchy reflections.
6. Before following this tutorial, make sure you know the basics of creating, editing, importing and exporting SimCity 4 terrains. Written tutorial by SimEchoes here, video tutorial by loonaplum here.
Software and mods used
The Sims 2 FreeTime expansion pack (required for the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat)
SimCity 4 (required) Hood Replace by Mootilda (required)
Lot Adjuster by Mootilda (required)
Portal revealer by Inge Jones (required)
Voeille's pond and sea water overhaul and RPC Launcher (optional, see disclaimers)
The Sims 2 Apartment Life and Bon Voyage expansion packs (optional, for "walk to lot/work/school" options)
Cheat codes used
moveObjects on/off
modifyNeighborhoodTerrain on/off
1. Creating/editing a terrain in SimCity 4
1.1. You can edit an already existing terrain or create your own from scratch. In both cases, you need to keep two things in mind: If you want the usable area of the lot to be underwater, such as making houses for mermaids or a coral reef, make sure the water is shallow. No more than a few short clicks with the terraforming tools in SimCity 4. This is because The Sims 2 live mode camera won't go underwater, so making the water too deep might make it uncomfortable to build or play the lot.
If you goal is to build a structure mostly above water, like a ship or an oil rig, you can get away with making the water a bit deeper, but not too much. I've noticed that sometimes the lot terrain tools stop working correctly if there a hill that's too steep.
1.2. Once you've created the terrain, you will need to add a small island on the area where your lot will be. I know it seems contradictory, but trust me, it will make sense. Create and name your city. Use the terraforming tools in city mode to make a tiny island of about 6x2 squares.
Tumblr media
1.3. On the island, use the road tool to place a straight road that takes up 4 squares. Then, using the street tool (the last option), place two short streets at each end of the road.
Streets will disappear in TS2, only roads translate to roads in ts2, so why do we place them? Well, placing a street at the end of a road will get rid of the rounded end bit in TS2, which can't be used to place lots. This will be important for the placement of the lot and to make sure the edges of the lot are underwater. If this doesn't make sense yet, don't worry, it might make sense later.
1.4. Save the terrain. Don't exit SimCity 4. Copy your new/edited sc4 terrain from your SimCity 4 folder to your SC4Terrains folder in your Sims 2 documents directory. It is usually
"C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\SC4Terrains"
Tumblr media
1.5. Back in SimCity 4, we're going to make a second version of this terrain. Remove the roads and streets you made before, with the bulldozer tool. With the level terrain tool in Mayor mode, carefully remove the island, so it's on the same level as the bottom of the ocean/lake. Don't change anything else. Save, exit and copy this second terrain to your Sims 2 SC4Terrains folder. Make sure you rename the file to something different from the first one, like adding "no roads" to the filename. You should have two terrains by the end of this step. One with the small island and one without it.
2. Editing the terrain in The Sims 2
2.1. Open The Sims 2 and create a new neighborhood using your new terrain. Something to keep in mind: if you want the terrain to be a subhood of another neighborhood, make it a subhood from the start. You will not be able to move the lot once it's finished, since it will be roadless. I don't recommend decorating the neighborhood for now. Leave it empty until the end of this tutorial.
Tumblr media
2.2. Place the smallest empty lot (3x1) on the island.
2.3. In neighborhood view, open the cheat console by pressing Control + Shift + C, and type
modifyNeighborhoodTerrain on
To quote The Sims Wiki:
"This allows you to alter the neighborhood terrain by raising or lowering it. To use this cheat, be in the neighborhood view, then enter the cheat "modifyNeighborhoodTerrain on" (without the quotation marks), and click over the area you would like to change. To select a larger area, click and drag the cursor to highlight the desired area. Press [ or ] to raise or lower the terrain by one click, press \ to level the terrain, and press P to flatten terrain. When you're finished, type “modifyNeighborhoodTerrain off” in the cheat box (again, without the quotations)."
If you use an English keyboard, these instructions will probably be enough for you. If you don't, I recommend first testing the cheat, because the keys for using this cheat are different in other languages. For example, in my spanish keyboard, the question marks are used to raise and lower the terrain and the º/ª key flattens it.
Another aside: When you select an area using this cheat, a green overlay is supposed to show up. Some lighting mods make this green overlay invisible, like the one I use. If that's your case, you kind of have to eyeball it. Remember that one neighborhood grid square in TS2 is equivalent to 10 lot tiles, or the width of a road. I recommend getting a mod that allows you to tilt the neighborhood camera on the Y axis, which will allow you to have a bird eye's view of the terrain.
Tumblr media
2.4. Flatten the terrain around the lot so it's at water level. This cheat won't allow you to edit the terrain inside the lot, so you have to edit the terrain around the lot. Make sure there is plenty of flat underwater space around the island. You should end up with something like the picture above. The water will have some holes, but don't worry, those get filled with water the next time you load the neighborhood.
2.5. Enter the lot and place any object on it. Save the lot and exit the game. This is so LotAdjuster recognizes the lot in the next step.
3. Expanding the lot with Lot Adjuster
3.1. Open Lot Adjuster and select your neighborhood and lot.
Tumblr media
3.2. Click "Advanced…". Check "Over the road (only enlarge front yard)". Use the arrows to add 20 tiles to the front yard. Click "Finish" and "Restart".
Tumblr media
3.3. Select the same lot again. This time, check "Add and remove roads". Uncheck the road checkbox for the front yard. Add 20 Tiles to the back yard, 20 tiles to the left side and 10 tiles to the right side. Check "Place portals manually". You should end up with a 60x60 lot, which is the biggest size. You might want a smaller lot, but unless you know what you are doing, I recommend starting with this size. You can shrink it later. The goal of making the lot this big is making sure the edges of the lot are underwater. Click "Finish" and exit.
4. Moving portals and flattening the lot
Tumblr media
4.1. Make sure you have the portal revealer by Inge installed in your Downloads folder before the next step. Open your game and load your neighborhood. The lot should look something like the picture above.
Tumblr media
4.2. Load the lot. Delete the object you placed before. Place the portal revealer on the lot near the mailbox/phone booth and trashcan. It looks like a yellow flamingo and you can find it in Build Mode/Doors and Windows/Multi-Story Windows catalogue. You will notice that when you select the object from the catalogue, some yellow cubes appear on the lot, and when you place the object, the cubes disappear. After placing the portal revealer, pick it up and place it again. This will make the yellow boxes visible again.
So what are those yellow boxes? They are portals. They determine where sims and cars arrive and leave the lot. The ones on both ends of the sidewalk are called pedestrian portals, and in the street, one lane has portals for service vehicles (maids, gardeners, etc.) and the opposite is for owned cars and carpools. You can see the portal's names if you pick them up. Make sure not to delete any of them.
Now, since this is going to be a roadless lot, ideally there won't be vehicles in it. This means that the lot would ideally be accessed through walking only. In community lots, this would not be an issue if you have the Bon Voyage expansion pack, which allows sims to walk to lots.
In residential lots, you might run into some problems. Service NPCs always arrive on vehicles, and unless your sim owns a vehicle, the carpool and school bus will always come to pick sims up for work/school. It might break your immersion to have a vehicle show up underwater or on a ship. There are many options to avoid this: having sims work on an owned business instead of a regular job, not having kids on the lot, making the kids homeschooled, avoiding calling service NPCs… it depends on how you want to play the lot. For example, my icebreaker is a residential lot, only adults live there, some sims live in it temporarily and none of them have a regular job.
Tumblr media
All of this is relevant because we're going to move the portals. Where you move the portals depends on you. Think about how you're going to use the lot. In my icebreaker, I placed the car portals (which won't be used) underwater, on a corner of the lot. I placed the pedestrian portals on the ship, to pretend that the walkbys are part of the crew or passengers. But for now, just move the portals, mailbox/phone booth and trashcan to a corner of the lot. To be able to pick up the mailbox/phone booth and trashcan, use the cheat moveObjects on. Delete the street and sidewalk tiles using the floor tool (Control + click and hold left mouse button + drag).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4.3. Flatten the island with the level terrain tool. Save the lot. Almost done! Don't mind the hole in the water, this will be fixed. You will notice that in neighborhood view, the island is still there. This is because the neighborhood terrain under the lot hasn't updated. I don't know why this happens, but it does. Normally, moving the lot would fix it, but we can't move this lot using the game's tools. Instead, we are going to fix the terrain with Hood Replace. Don't exit the game yet.
5. Updating the terrain with Hood Replace
5.1. Create a new neighborhood using the new roadless terrain. Make sure it has the same type of terrain (lush, desert, etc.) as the first one. Again, name it "NO ROADS" or something similar. Exit the game.
Tumblr media
5.2. Open HoodReplace. On the left column you will select your "NO ROADS" neighborhood. In the right column, select the neighborhood that has the underwater lot. Check these settings: Replace terrain, replace road, and versioned backups. Leave everything else unchecked. Click Copy.
Tumblr media
5.3. Open The Sims 2 and load the neighborhood to check if the changes worked. That concludes the tutorial. At this point you can shrink the lot if you don't want it to be so big. Remember to move the portals to their final placement when you're done building the lot. Also keep in mind pedestrians (walkbys) always walk by the mailbox, so keep the mailbox accessible for sims.
If you're going to have multiple underwater lots, I recommend making them first, and decorating the neighborhood after. Doing this in an already existing neighborhood might be more difficult, mainly because, if you made any changes to the terrain using the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat in the past, they might get reset when using Hood Replace.

First Love |Jjk Men X Reader| Drabble
Tumblr media
Unspecified Character X Reader
Summary: You meet your first love again after so much time apart.
Warnings: Angst. I think the end is promising but feel free to interpret it as you please.
A/N: Inspired by my first love who still haunts my fucking dreams. LEAVE ME ALONE!
- - - - -
Your relationship hadn't been a good one.
You'd fought and bickered since the beginning. Damning words and heated conversations were more common than dates. It was always something- a lack of forethought on his part or overthinking on yours were the most likely culprits. He'd expected a certain level of confidence from you that you just couldn't offer at the time. You'd expected a level of understanding and patience that he couldn't even allow himself.
But through all the fighting and hurt feelings, you loved each other nonetheless.
You vividly remember every good date, every anniversary, and every holiday spent together. You think about the jam sessions in the car; public radio turned all the way up and bad singing at the top of your lungs. You remember finally beating him at Mario kart after two years of trying. You cherished the feeling of waking up in his arms, especially after a long night of arguing. The feeling of doing simple tasks in each other's presence. The feeling of shared kisses and passing touches.
Every spur of the moment breakup was promptly followed by a desperate plea to meet at the old park with the pond. You'd always refuse at first, knowing that if you saw his teary eyes you'd cave and take him back in an instant, even if it wasn't in either of your best interest. He'd wear you down, saying it was just to talk, to clear the air, to give you belongings, whatever he could just to get you there. You quickly learned that any self-discipline on your part resulted in him showing up to your door, flowers in hand with the sappiest apology and a load of empty promises to be better.
You always took him back, because at the end of the day, through all the tears, you still loved him.
You can't remember the details all that well. You know he'd spent the night at someone's- some girl's- house after a long night of poor decisions fueled by alcohol. It wasn't until well into the next day that you finally got a hold of him, and the conversation went from bad to worse in a matter of minutes. He'd said he was done, that if you couldn't trust him that was that.
There was no pleading to meet at the park after that. No texts begging to hear him out or knocks on your door and muffled wants through the door.
A month later he'd posted a photo of him and a girl on his Instagram. She was pretty, and a few obsessive hours of combing through her socials told you she was everything he wanted you to be. While you hadn't held out much hope that things would go back to normal (did you want them to anyway?), that picture set everything in stone.
Eventually, you moved on. You got a new job, moved to a new apartment, made new friends, and even went out on dates. Even with the bad experiences, you'd quickly realized just how abnormal and toxic your relationship with him was.
You met people who had more in common with you- played the games you liked, watched shows you kept up with, and frequented the same shops around town. People who were more interested in getting to know you- asking about your hobbies, your time in school, what your family was like. People who treated you better even when you had little to no things in common.
You don't know when you stopped thinking about him altogether, but were harshly hit with the reminder when you met a familiar pair of eyes across the sidewalk. The lack of air in your lungs and the heavy beat of your heart left you unable to move as he quickly crossed the empty street. Familiar locks of hair and vibrant eyes illuminated by the street light became more and more clear as he approached.
Your hit with the feelings from all those years ago. The memory of waking up beside him in the morning light. The feeling of his lips as he peppered your fave with kisses. The excitement of staying up late on the phone when you both had classes the next morning. There's no bitter ties to those memories. They're perfectly preserved as if the bad things had never happened- as if you'd been in a perfect relationship the whole time.
Now he's standing in front of you, just as tall as you remember and heavy with the scent of his signature cologne. He's breathing a little heavy- possibly just as worked up as you were. What were you supposed to say? Should you even attempt a conversation or would it be best to walk away before your brain starts to get ideas that'll leave you hurt all over again-
"Hey," he breathes out.
Just like that you fell into your old roles- him acting without thinking and you overthinking the smallest interaction.
"Hey."
The one word response is unsure and you're positive he can feel the tension. You don't know how else to respond. How should one address an ex who left on bad terms?
His throat bobs up and down. A hand comes up to scratch the back of his neck. You follow the familiar veins of his arm up to his face. It's more mature. The last few years had dissolved any lingering baby fat, giving his face a more defined edge.
"Funny seeing you here."
His head tilts to gesture behind you. You acknowledge your surroundings for the first time that night and you realize where you are.
The old park with the pond.
You huff out a small laugh, clearing the thick cloud surrounding the two of you.
"Yeah, funny seeing you here, too."

Drabble #1
Nikto x Reader
There are some days when he can't trust himself. He doesn't know what kind of danger he'll put you in by staying, so he just leaves. He sends you a simple text.
- I'm out. I will be back.
The feeling doesn't have a beginning point. When he wants to cry, he feels it at the back of his throat and in his forehead. When he feels happy, it's like a warmth in his chest. When he feels the beginning of an episode, he is surrounded by it. It's grip on him tightens from every angle, squeezing painfully. He takes the long walk down to the pond, and sits in the damp grass at the edge of the water.
The water is still- like the surface of a mirror. He can see his reflection in it. He used to think of himself as ugly, as a monster. He used to cover the mirrors in his apartment and skip meals- punishment for his rowdier personalities.
After you, he began to see himself differently. He began to take care of himself, for your sake. You were a guiding light in the fog of his mind. He looked in the mirror and didn't see a monster- he saw someone you loved.
He began to work on himself- and realized that as much as he liked pleasing you, he also liked having a full stomach, a warm bed, a clean apartment, an uncovered mirror, and clean clothes.
When he looks into the reflection of the water now, he sees a man.
