honestly this past few days of farming in fgo just makes me question myself. Why I’m I still playing this game??? The gameplays didn’t age well, the characters I like barely has content, two of my fav fate characters are not even in the game, galahad isn’t playable and I’ve been waiting for that since fucking 2018, my na acc has been in lb3 for..years YEARS and my jp acc is in lb4 for a whole year now, last time i got so excited about this game is during traum and that’s 2 years ago now, and ever since lb2 released in NA I stopped doing dailies and only open the game like 3 times a month, then I actually tried deleting the game and I can’t I really can’t, there’s a part of me still waiting for galahad to be playable, I wanna see the story end and be there, I want closure for myself over romani’s death…I can’t do it…but I need space on my phone so…rip lads I haven’t opened you for a week now and I can’t keep up with your stamina bullshit and your back to back limited banners like someone lit a fire under your ass, I don’t love rafayel that much I guess

Today I took on Castrum Meridium and the Praetorium.
While I don’t have experience with the instances prior to the changes, I will give my thoughts on them post-6.1. Needless to say:
It was well worth the wait.
The entire run felt so smooth and streamlined. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun with dungeons so far. The bosses felt challenging without being too punishing. It was a great way to test my rotations. The whole experience was amazing.
But what really made it special was my party.
I could spend hours gushing about these guys. :D
(Special thanks to Lyn, aka @autumnslance, for putting the whole thing together! I’ll admit I was a little starstruk seeing the Aeryn Striker in action, lol. She and her friends (game names not shared to respect privacy) really came through)
These amazing people took the time out of their day, hopped all the way over to Mateus to run these dungeons with me. We cracked jokes, they gave me encouragement, we had a funny wipe (cause Gaius is a right bastard xD), and they even set me up for my first LB3!
I’m so glad I waited till the time was right for me to do this, that I didn’t rush through it. I’m glad that Lyn and her friends were with me the entire time. I don’t think this experience would have been as memorable without them.
They really do give credence to the best of the FF14 community. If that silly little troll I encountered on Friday was one of the worst, then these guys represent the absolute best. Yeah that probably sounds corny, but I mean it.
This has been amazing. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the game series has in store
Special screenshots under the cut (cause spoilers!), including a fun little GPose group photo, courtesy of Lyn!

Okay, I think I’ve made a decision on the order I’m going forward with FGO now. I finished Shinjuku, and I was going to do the events up to Shimousa, followed by Shimousa, and then the events up to Salem, and then Salem, etc. all the way up to the current lostbelt.
But, I was reminded that there is an event in a few months that requires me to complete lostbelt 3, so I think I’m changing the way I do things. Until I complete lostbelt 3, I will not be waiting to catch up on events before moving on.
I’ll still watch events, but if I want to get to LB3 in time I can’t wait to complete them before advancing the story. So I’ll do SERAPH, followed by Shimousa, and then I’ll start on the LBs. Going back to the other events and Salem afterwards.
I’m glad that Shimousa is important, because I feel like I’ve heard that it’s really good from someone in the Tales discord I’m in. And I think Musashi’s in it, so I’ll be excited to see her.

Unfulfilled Things
Note: Dedicated to the real life Rex, under @hasquetzdoneanythingwrong and @kingrexofchaldea, because he chose to stick around a quiet person like me, even when work decided to slap me upside the head with drama that takes my energy away. Even when I feel older than I should, you remind me there’s still things in life that are worth enjoying. Thankie, friend.
The song for this short story is wimp by BACK-ON and Lil’ Fang, the second opening for Gundam Build Fighters. I found the enthusiasm and joy of the song helped with the mood I wanted to convey, more so since the original show was my first official exposure into Gundam I finished with my real life Robin.
As for an alternate, more somber song, I’ll merely point you to the track titled Unfulfilled from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Let’s just say it helped me get into Robin’s mindset for this. For something cheerier to follow this? This OST from Komi Can’t Communicate.
For those wondering where this takes place in the FGO timeline? It’s in the lull between LB3 and Ooku. Otherwise, please enjoy. :>
-------------------------------
“Pajarita! Pajarita, Vy~!”
Vy slowly blinked at the sound of the nickname, blearily raising her head from the tablet sitting on her lap as sandaled feet made their entrance into her personal space with a happy jump.
“La pajarita, there you are!” Quetzalcoatl was as bright as always when getting up into Vy’s face with her usual toothy grin, and Vy blinked again. “Are you — oh, pajarita, you’re working again!”
“Why… wouldn’t I be?” Vy eventually croaked out as an answer, doing nothing but blink as Quetzalcoatl pouted at her. “Isn’t that… how I’ve always been?”
“That doesn’t make it a good thing, pajarita!” Quetz answered with a disapproving huff, glaring down at the device like it was a new target for lucha practice. “You need breaks! Where is that green Archer of yours, he needs to be here to scold you—”
“Mi corazon, it’s good to see you, but uh… I don’t think glaring at Vy’s tablet is going to help anything,” Rex quietly interrupted with a face, eyebrow twitching a bit past his bangs as he crossed his arms over his Winter Chaldean uniform. He must’ve walked up to the scene as soon as he noticed his future wife. “As much as I understand the feeling.”
Vy couldn’t help but sigh, pressing the sleep button on the tablet to put to the side. “I still say work is important. And I was just studying team formations for the next Lostbelt.”
“Work doesn’t mean anything if it ends up exhausting you, pajarita!” The last thing Vy expected was for Quetzalcoatl to take her face in her hands, cupping both her cheeks with her warm palms to squeeze as she looked closer. “I see the dark eyebags on your face, pajarita, you are not fooling this Onee-san that easily!”
“Vy…” Rex said in a low voice past Quetzalcoatl’s shoulder. “How much sleep have you been getting?”
“That’s from the occasional nightmares, not the work, Quetz-san…” Vy tried not to drawl as Quetzalcoatl rubbed the pad of her thumbs over the edges of her eyes to take out the residual dust, blinking slowly as to not interrupt the Rider’s fretting. “And Rex, I’ve been getting my daily naps and haven’t taken an all-nighter yet.”
“That still doesn’t make me feel all that better,” Rex deadpanned with a face. “Did you get to your breaks today, Vy?”
Vy took a deep breath to think about it before gently shaking her head, resting her hands in the lap of her skirt. “…If I said ‘yes’, I’d be lying, aye. And I don’t want to do that to either of you.”
Quetz proceeded to let out a worried noise from the back of her throat, the sound coming out like a cross between a squeal and a pterodactyl roar before she cupped Vy’s cheeks again, shaking her head. “We’re going to provide you a break then, pajarita! We need a date!”
“Eh? What date?”
“Wait, mi corazon,” Rex’s frown dropped for a bewildered look as he glanced at his fiancé with a light pink flush to his cheeks, probably from both the close proximity and surprise, “What date do you have in mind?”
“Get the green Archer here and you’ll see, mi amor!”
-------------------------------
“…I sometimes wonder how you fell in love with her,” Robin Hood drawled, absently chewing on a stalk of mint as he rested his chin in the palm of his right hand, sitting against a bench in Da Vinci’s workshop. Playing out in front of him was something like a scene from the movies, where Quetzalcoatl was acting like a mother bringing her younger daughter in Vy to the store to buy new clothes. The fact that both Da Vincis were watching from the sidelines of their shared workshop in interest added credence to that analogy, more so with Medea pulling different outfits out of thin air all at once with her magic. “But then I see things like this and understand a bit better.”
“Note that the solar goddess is powerful and can’t be underestimated, Robin,” Rex said sagely from his seat next to the Archer, looking on with a wry smile. “And mi corazon was insistent on this.”
As expected, Quetzalcoatl was humming while rocking back and forth on her sandals in anticipation. “Pajarita, have you ever bought clothes on your own before?”
“N-No, normally Mom would’ve bought them for me…” Vy still struggled with holding the blouse Medea offered her, hiding her blushing cheeks with the collar of the shirt. “I-I always went with simple cheap stuff until now…”
Mom? Rex and Robin unintentionally thought in unison. Cheap?!
“Hm. It’s about time we correct that now, dear,” Medea said while clicking her tongue, waving her hand to create a long, ruffle-filled skirt. “We have some time to rest before the next Lostbelt is located, so we might as well give a girl like you some better clothes to wear, shouldn’t we?”
“M-Medea-san, I’m fineeeeeee…”
“No ‘Medea-san’ me in that cute voice, Vy,” Medea continued with a huff, pushing at Vy’s shoulders while Quetz grinned like it was her birthday. “Just get to the dressing room and try these on, okay?”
“Muuuuuu…”
“Now I don’t know whether or not I should go in and save her,” Robin muttered around his stick of mint. “She looks like she’s never had this done for her before.”
“Vy?” Rex called out with a raised hand, catching her just before she could hide herself behind a curtain to change. “How often did you go out on your own before Chaldea?”
“Um,” Vy said slowly, clearly caught off-guard as her ears reddened past her hair. She then proceeded to duck her head and hide her lips with the dressing room curtain. “…Barely? Not much at all?” As if becoming aware of all the eyes in the room on her, Vy flushed, squeaking out, “Usually helped out in the house more than out?”
That’s kinda sad, Vy… was most certainly thought by one of the participants in the room.
Quetz proceeded to let out a very concerned squeal, jumping back and forth on her sandals in protest. “Pajarita, we are so having a girls’ day together later! You need more attention!”
Please include me in those girls’ days too,” Medea added with a huff, hands on her hips. “Vy’s clothing is something I would want to keep coordinating.” With a feigned roll of her eyes, the Caster proceeded to tug at the dressing room curtain Vy was holding onto, shaking her head. “But enough of that. You need to change, Master. This session won’t go anywhere if you keep hiding behind that curtain.”
“Muuuuu…” said Vy from behind the curtain in question, her cheeks reddening enough to match the drapery.
“Don’t ‘Muuuuu’ me, Master.” Still, in spite of the retort, a small smile adorned Medea’s lips as she finished with a final, “Just go get dressed.”
“O-Okay…”
Rex decided to give Vy a break by looking away from the crowd of women, glancing at his fellow male companion instead. “So…”
“Hm?” Robin grunted around his stalk of mint, his eye still pointed towards the group of women in question.
Rex considered his options, anxiously scratching at the back of his head. “I noticed you and Vy seem to be getting closer lately, Robin… anything going to come out of that?”
The last thing Rex expected was for Robin to nearly spit out his stalk of mint in what was apparently a double-take, giving him a wide-eyed look past the fringe of ginger hair covering part of his face for about a second. Robin blinked once, then twice, before closing his eye and lowering his head. “...I have no idea of what you’re talking about, Rex.”
“This coming from one of the many Servants who saw me considering proposing to mi corazon?” Rex retorted dryly, the smallest bit of confidence surging through his veins with the comment. “Hard to believe there isn’t anything happening between you two with how often Vy runs up to you when you come around.”
Even with that point said, Robin was unfazed, replacing the stalk of mint in his mouth to absently chew around. “I’ve been with the little sparrow for a long time. Hard not to answer her call when she needs me.”
“I don’t think that’s all that’s going down, Robin, and that’s coming from the almost-married-man.”
Despite the good cheer, Robin wasn’t convinced. If anything, from Rex’s perspective, it was as if Robin had proceeded to wilt at the words, his shoulders slumping past the No Face May King as he rested his arms against his knees. “…Okay then,” Robin sighed past the mint in his mouth, “what am I supposed to say, Rex?”
Rex’s own quiet “Huh?” was quickly drowned out by the happy squealing of Medea and Quetz from afar, but he still stared at Robin as the Archer kept his head down.
Robin raised one hand to start counting down fingers. “I wasn’t able to be there for you or the little sparrow when the Foreign God bleached the world,” his thumb went down first, “could barely support you when you attacked the Russian and Scandinavian Lostbelts,” then followed by his pointer finger. With a sigh, Robin then folded both his middle and ring fingers, adding in a sullen voice, “Can’t forget the Chinese Lostbelt and how that fox bitch replicated my poison to get to Vy when you weren’t looking, not to mention the new Director.” Finally, his pinky finger fell with a quieter conclusion of, “Let’s not forget I couldn’t stop the Mages’ Association from Unsummoning everyone and leaving you and Vy alone.”
“Robin,” Rex interrupted with a raised hand, his smile dropping with the gesture, “you know all those things aren’t your fault. Mi corazon felt the same way as you, and I know I never blamed her. Why would I blame you?”
“It would’ve been easier if you did,” was the last thing Rex expected to hear Robin to say, and Rex stared at him in shock as Archer proceeded to lower his hand. “Not every Heroic Spirit can be as strong as your wife, and the Crypters keep proving that with their bullshit.” The mint stalk in Robin’s mouth proceeded to crack at the stem, probably from the intense amount of chewing that happened as Robin turned his head away. “…How can I be there for the little sparrow when I couldn’t even save her when she needed me? What kind of hero am I for her then, when I couldn’t even cure the poison that hurt her? Poison that bitch made based off of my Yew Bow?”
For once that entire day, Rex felt no words come to him. His throat was too tight for any to even try to come out.
Robin still kept his head down, not even looking at the spectacle playing out in front of him as he slowly removed the bent mint stalk from his mouth. “How ‘big’ am I, really, when I can’t even be a real man for a little girl who’s still looking for a hero, Rex? What makes you think the little sparrow could ever love me?”
Before Rex could answer, he felt his heart race at the sound of another’s voice.
“Mi amor! Mi amor, come over here! Bring Robin with you!”
“Coming, mi corazon!” came out of Rex’s lips as naturally as breathing, a stark contrast to the awkward silence that had settled between the two men before, and Robin tensed once Rex elbowed him. “Enough of that, Robin, my future wife’s calling!”
“F-For what is she calling us for—” was all Robin got to say before Rex was elbowing him again to stand up, and both men proceeded to rush over to the center of Da Vinci’s workshop.
“Um,” Vy said quietly, for once not hidden behind a curtain as her face turned a dark pink in contrast to Quetz’s bright smile. It was obvious she was fidgeting in the soft sun-like yellow one-piece dress that Medea had apparently made in the time the men were talking. With the hem of the dress going to knee-height, showing just enough skin along with the soft white sandals, it was as if Vy was dressed for a day outside in a spring pasture with friends. The additional green ribbon belt merely accentuated Vy’s figure as she tilted her head at Robin and Rex past Quetz and Medea’s shoulders, unintentionally batting her eyelashes at a certain Archer in particular. “I-I was told you two had to make the final verdict?” Placing one arm behind her back, Rex could see Vy nervously tug at the green ribbon, tightening the bow that kept the waist part of the dress together, her voice pitching upwards with her little bit of, “H-How does it look?”
“I kept telling her that she looks good in it, mi corazon!” Quetz said with a huff, reaching over with one muscular arm to push Vy out of her shadow and into their field of view, much to Vy’s audible anxious noises (something along the lines of “Muuuu!”). Behind Vy, Rex could see Medea and both Da Vincis nod sagely with their arms crossed over their chests. Quetzalcoatl continued to pout over Vy’s head as she pushed the Master forward into view, hands on her shoulders in an almost-haughty way. “But pajarita remains unconvinced! You two say something to convince her!”
“I mean,” Rex started awkwardly, giving Robin the side-eye with a wry grin, “you do look good, Vy. Right, Robin?”
Funnily enough, compared to earlier, it was as if the light had come back into Robin’s eye because his cheeks started turning a light pink to match his sparrow of a Master, his gaze darting around to look at everything but Vy’s face. “C-Can’t say anything else but that, little sparrow.” It was telling to hear Robin’s voice soften with warmth as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Yellow and green look great on you.”
With her hair down and light in her own eyes from the workshop, Vy stared up at Robin for a second before smiling. “Th-Thankie, Big Robin. I asked Medea-san for the green because I thought of you!”
Rex did not miss how Medea and Quetz exchanged a quiet high five behind Vy’s back once Robin turned red.
Who says you’re not a real man with a reaction like that, Robin?
It was another good day in Novum Chaldea, for what it was worth.

Just realized I never posted this during LB3 despite the fact that I had some very Thematic Brainwaves about my Mastersona, Yu, Koyanskaya and of course Diarmuid. Under the read more if you are interested -
Koyanskaya savored the looks on their faces as they beheld the vial.
One dose of antidote. The only contingency plan.
It didn’t take long for the realization to sink in, but Koyanskaya quickly added, “Oh, and don’t even think about splitting it between the pair of you. The poison is well-integrated into your system now. You’ll require the full dosage if you even hope to have a chance at surviving.”
Goredolf’s pale, sweating face was a special treat. Either he was a bigger idiot than Koyanskaya had thought, or he was a true mage, who didn’t realize that Zoe Venier would probably let him take the antidote without much fuss if he only had the sense to ask.
Poor girl, Koyanskaya thought, smiling faintly as she watched Zoe attempt to school her features into stoicism. It didn’t come naturally to her, that was for sure. She was a quiet girl, normally, though she’d been known to display quite the temper. But in the face of her own death... Oh, she was frightened. Even after all this time, after all she’d survived. Perhaps she was more frightened than ever before.
But the ensuing squabble quickly lost its spice for Koyanskaya. Goredolf suggested that they duel with rock-paper-scissors. Zoe, with a wry, faint smile, accepted. While they haggled over terms, Koyanskaya decided that she ought not to waste her time. Bound, sitting in the dirt, surrounded by enemies, fresh out of the eternal Shi Huangdi’s torture chambers - it wasn’t like she had anything else to do but gather more intel in her condition. Even if she would inevitably turn against Chaldea later, she should learn all she could about such a valuable client.
There were many Servants with Zoe this time - a surprising number, actually, considering the amount of mana it would likely take to sustain them. Given her present condition, she surely was feeling the strain of it. But of the motley crew, there was only one that Koyanskaya didn’t really know yet.
And just her luck, he stood over her side, guarding her.
Diarmuid ua Duibhne, Lancer. According to the records that they’d obtained from Chaldea, he was one of Zoe Venier’s original three Servants. He was not spectacular, a thoroughly average hero from an obscure legend. Koyanskaya wasn’t in the business of underestimating anyone but even she took one look at his perfect, beautiful face and dismissed him.
But he’d changed.
He had not disappeared, nor had Zoe re-summoned him. He had simply changed at some point, not long after Koyanskaya had left the Scandinavian Lostbelt. Rather than the famous twin spears, he now carried two blades, one of which was nearly as tall as he was and radiated a positively demonic aura. His combat parameters seemed to have expanded somewhat due to the class change, but otherwise, there was nothing different about him. But a normal Servant changing themselves was impossible, and this was doubly true for Diarmuid ua Duibhne, who had been defined by his curses, if by nothing else.
Koyanskaya had been wrong to ignore him, that was for sure.
But she was big enough to admit that. Now it was time to have some fun.
Eyeing him, she spoke with a sweet idleness. “You know, I really have to wonder if she’s feeling the affects of the poison or not.”
Diarmuid kept his eyes squarely on Zoe. It didn’t take a genius detective to know that she was his ultimate weakness, in all the ways that mattered.
“I mean,” Koyanskaya continued, with a smile. “What’s her body count at now? Well, the last one is easy, just ten thousand, but we never did get an accurate estimate of the Yaga population, come to think of it. Does it count if they were technically beasts? What do you think?”
He didn’t even react to her words. It was not in Koyanskaya’s nature to crave attention from beautiful men, but the silent treatment annoyed her. It almost wounded her pride.
“In any case, do you want to hear my theory?” Koyanskaya looked up, putting all her weight into her gaze. “I think that - despite all the blood on her hands - Zoe simply believes that everything she’s done has been completely justified. That’s why she isn’t showing any symptoms. Can you imagine? Obliterating entire worlds, entire cultures, erasing it from existence, from memory. For that not to bother her in the slightest - it’s chilling! Do you think that maybe she even enjoys - “
“It seems to me,” said Diarmuid, “that you fundamentally misunderstand who we are.”
Koyanskaya smiled. “Oh?”
For example,” Diarmuid went on, still watching Zoe and Goredolf. They were nearly ready to begin their matches now. “When you mocked the Director before, I thought you had simply picked him out to be an easy target. Someone with his disposition must be child’s play for you, naturally. But now you’ve admitted that you don’t understand the first thing about Zoe, either.”
“Why, perish the thought!” Koyanskaya simpered, baring her teeth in a wicked grin. “I pride myself on my information-gathering efforts, you know.”
Diarmuid shrugged. “I would have assumed that you weren’t capable of understanding humanity, given what you are. But if you can’t even grasp the basics about someone like Zoe, then maybe we don’t need to be worried about you after all.”
But this was too good to be true. Koyanskaya tried to think back - had she ever revealed to Chaldea that she was a Beast? Perhaps Holmes had figured it out, or even the little Da Vinci, but this was the first time they had all been together since Shi Huangdi had separated the group, and they were preoccupied with the antidote. There was no way that Diarmuid could have known her true nature, unless he had recognized it on his own.
“I guess that’s true,” said Koyanskaya. “I wouldn’t know her nearly as well as someone like you. After all, you’re her loyal Servant - the perfect knight who services her every need.”
At last, Diarmuid deigned to look at her. His expression was withering. Not outright murderous, but he definitely contemplated the idea of drawing his swords. And in her current condition, Moralltach might even damage her if he really threw his weight into the strike. But naturally, he wouldn’t. His honor wouldn’t allow him to strike a prisoner, and to strike such a powerful blow would drain too much mana from his precious Zoe.
Speaking of which, they seemed to be at the last round. Zoe was patting Goredolf’s arm reassuringly as he blabbered.
“Look! They’re nearly done. Aren’t you going to stop them?”
Diarmuid sighed, and faced away from her again. “Forgive me, but may I ask if there’s a point to this conversation?”
“Obviously, Zoe wants to take the antidote herself,” said Koyanskaya, as if he hadn’t spoken. “She’s a pragmatist. I almost admire that about her, you know. But she’ll give the antidote to Goredolf out of fairness - because it’s the right thing to do - even though she knows as well as I do that Chaldea needs its only Master far more than it needs an oaf of a Director. And what? You’re just going to it back and let that happen?”
Predictably, Diarmuid replied. “In fact, her sense of honor is something that I greatly admire about her. And just because you do not recognize the Director’s value doesn’t mean he has none.”
Koyanskaya clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes. “Ugh, you’re like a fortress. Don’t you ever get tired of playing fair?”
When he didn’t answer her, Koyanskaya pretended to think about her next words for a moment.
“Hmm... well, I guess you’re not totally out of options. I guess if you’re going to let this antidote go to waste, you could always just take her to your father’s house if you can’t find another dose.”
The temperature seemed to drop ten degrees.
Got him, thought Koyanskaya, and smiled.
“Oh, no, dear me, you’re right,” Koyanskaya went on, barely concealing her elation. “That won’t do. Not really his wheelhouse, I’d say. Well, it’s not as if you don’t have other options. Though, come to think of it, you’ve never really been the type to introduce a girl to your family.”
Diarmuid was staring at her, his mouth a thin line, his eyes unfathomable.
Koyanskaya smirked back. “What? Don’t  you think Aengus Og would be just thrilled to have guests? I hear it’s lovely in Tir na Nog this time of year. Well, it’s always lovely, but that’s beside the point, isn’t it?”
The temperature adjusted; Diarmuid’s expression stabilized, and became bored again.
“Congratulations,” he said. “Though I’m not sure what you hope to gain by lording this information over me. I have no power within Chaldea’s internal structure, and I won’t act without my Master’s permission.”
The sarcasm in his voice was simply delicious. Koyanskaya leaned in.
“What I don’t understand is why someone like you would become a Servant in the first place. Why surrender yourself to the Counter Force when you could spend an eternity in paradise? And it’s not as if you could possibly have any reasons to love humanity. You might not have as many curses as our mutual friend Yu, but...”
She waited eagerly for him to respond, but he simply regarded her carefully for a moment. Koyanskaya was thrilled to learn how smart he was. In fact, he suited his Master very well. Quiet and observant. The shadow of the blade. The steady right hand. And he was far less human than he’d allowed Chaldea to believe. Did Zoe even know the truth?
In any case, Koyanskaya hoped that Holmes was listening to their conversation.
“I have no reason to curse humanity,” came Diarmuid’s reply. “Again, you show a lack of understanding. I simply followed the natural course of my fate.”
Goredolf lost the final round of rock-paper-scissors, but Nezha and Mordred held him down so that Da Vinci could inoculate him anyway. While he blubbered thanks and took dramatic, gasping breaths, Koyanskaya watched Zoe Venier. Watched her smile disappear for a moment. Watched her push her glasses up her nose, and twirl a lock of her long hair around her fingers. For a moment, the Master of Chaldea was nothing but a sad, frightened little girl.
And if Koyanskaya had noticed, then surely, so had Diarmuid.
“Oh, what to do, what to do...?” she murmured. A giggle worked its way up her throat, and she had to suppress it. “Now, I say this with all possible manner of feminine delicacy - but you guys are royally fucked. Humanity’s a lost cause, and that’s even if you somehow manage to find a second antidote. Your merry band of heroes hasn’t even gotten to the real Lostbelts yet. If my half-assed assassination attempt can knock you back this far, then how do you expect to face the rest of the Crypters?”
“We’ve faced steep odds before. I have nothing but confidence in Zoe, and in our allies.”
Koyanskaya shook her head. “I seriously can’t believe you. You have a get-out-of-the-apocalypse-free card at your beck and call.”
“That’s not how it works.”
His voice contained a hard edge now. She’d touched a nerve.
“Then, enlighten me. Because you know as well as I do - taking Zoe into the Land of Youth would end all of this. What do you care for humanity’s survival? She would never suffer again. Isn’t that what you wish for?”
She saw his eyes glint, shift for a fraction of a second, and that was how she knew she’d won. No matter how noble he pretended to be, there was still a part of him that had understandable human instincts. Fortunately for his sake, Diarmuid was spared from answering as Zoe herself approached, to engage Koyanskaya in conversation regarding their upcoming plans.
The knight was quiet, and kept one eye on her constantly going forward.
All in all, Koyanskaya considered this a resounding success.

For the ask game! How about... Scathach, langling, karna, and okita?
Thanks for asking!!! I LOVE THESE ASK MEMES (LMAO) ^^
Scathach
Tumblr media
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Scathach is really pretty, and I like her 'no holds barred' approach to training. Even though she's not really my type, I do like her character a lot, both in her mythos and in fate. Whenever I see her in a fgo event I'm like 'hell yeah!' because honestly she's such a blast of a character. However, I wish fgo would stop classing her as an 'old lady'. There's nothing wrong with older women, and I think Scathach is a great example of a hot, mature lady.
Lanling
Tumblr media
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Lanling is a cute guy, but he's not really my kinda type either! However, I do like his personality, his costume is super cute, and I can't wait to see what he's like (haven't reached LB3 yet). He is definitely pretty but not really my style :)
Karna
Tumblr media
Not My Type | Alright | Cute | Adorable | Pretty | Gorgeous | LORD MERCY
Karna is certainly good-looking. I love his white hair, and seeing as he was born with the cool black armor he wears; he is more or less naked XDD I also really like his expressions (smirk karna is awesome) and his white day scene had me clutching my heart in agony. I'm not that attracted to Karna, however I ADORE his personality. I love how he can be a harsh roaster but also be one of the kindest, most supportive allies ever. His scene with Jinako in CCC made me cry really hard. So for that reason, Karna is pretty!

As a person who loves other Shinsengumi works like Hakuouki and enjoys learning about Japanese samurai history, I surprisingly don't feel that much for Okita. Don't get me wrong; she's definitely cute, and still does retain that scary 'blade of the shinsengumi' side that I'm used to seeing in other fictional representations of Okita Souji....however, I'm entirely neutral about her. I do like seeing her hijinks with Nobbu though.

oh yeah lb2 made me cry (story wasn’t bad, but like...it certainly felt a bit boring in areas, but that ending GOT to me), but the story is MUCH MORE interesting in LB3. Pspspspsp qin shi huang, when your banner going up???
Shit is going BONKERS, I got poisoned, Goredolf won’t stop making me love him, also CHEN GONG.
Can’t wait for July 2021 when we get the sexy, sexy bronze units that change up shit with Chen Gong farming memes.
Also, Paris is ready to snipe the shit out of my Achilles. Rip to his heels.

Took me 4 silver apples and nonstop hours to grind, but I finally finished LB3 in main acc
Tumblr media
Finally I can sit back for LB4.
I have to say, I enjoy the story a lot, especially it’s introspection about politics, philosophy, and what it means to be a human. The tone of the story kinda felt right, the comedic scenes are funny (especially the Tank scene and Chen Gong + Red Hare’s antics) and the emotional ones felt well done (the scenes between Xiang Yu and Yu Mei-ren). I know the Urobuchi is Spartacus real creator, but I enjoy how the author fleshes the character into a rebel with layers of depth.
I like that fact that QSH is a fully realised character, being blindsided by their limited view of humanity while able to learn and adapt from new situations. There’s also the fact that they do deal with Chaldea in a concrete, understandable way, taking action to stop them when it seem Chaldea is working against them, and their initial disinterest to do so felt understandable. It’s like if someone took my grievances of Skadi’s character and make it better
Conversely, the relationship between Yu and Gao, tho promising and ultimately enjoyable, didn’t seem to go anywhere. Gao is particularly sidelined as a servant, especially he end up being Yu’s emergency fuel. It kinda feels like the writers of LB2 and LB3 respectively have completely opposite preferences between the Crypter/Servant pair and the Lostbelt King.
Anyhow, I enjoy the story of LB3 a lot. Can’t wait for the LB4 and its Lostbelt king kicking my ass rip.

Illya has joined the party!
Tumblr media
Selection: “If you insist..”
Taking the Warrior of Light in her strongest form boosts your party in several ways. A flexible healer who can juggle between healing and doing damage, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it’s as good as taking another DPS into the party.
Weapons: Tsukuyomi’s Cane / Sharpened Cane of the White Tsar
Passives: Illya as a White Mage always has four passive buffs turned on. “The Elemental’s favor” gives herself a passive defense buff and increased resistance against debuffs. “Soothing presence” gives all allies within a certain radius of her a buff that increases HP gained by any healing magic. “Echo’s whisper” gives her a passive attack buff. “Territory manipulation” allows her to alter the elements / type of the arena around her, allowing her to cast “Reflections of the forest” and “Endless Garden”, both of which have effects explained below.
AI Behavior:
If there is one thing Illya is confident in, it’s her healing potency. She avoids over healing at all costs, while focusing as much of her cast times on doing as much damage as possible. She usually stands at mid-range, where she can reach as many of her party members as possible, but will run towards any party member who are out of her range if they are low on HP. She will never run ahead of the tank, but will occasionally accidentally attract aggro, which she deals with by casting Holy before running. She usually prefers to apply Regen and Medica II instead of burst healing, but will cast Cure II, Tetragrammaton, Benediction or use Lilies if necessary.
She will use Presence of Mind, Divine Benison, Assize and Asylum whenever they are off cooldown, while leaving Plenary Indulgence and Temperance for emergencies where more healing is required.
As she never runs out of MP, she does not have Thin Air. Instead, it’s replaced by a spell “Crown of Thorns” that places a bleed debuff on one target and gives them a vulnerability debuff for 10 seconds.
Lucid Dreaming is also replaced by a skill called “Reflections of the forest”, which ‘alters’ the area around her to be forest type, giving herself a damage up boost for 15 seconds. This skill also boosts any ‘earth’ type damage her allies may be doing, and reducing the damage taken from earth type mobs.
Using lilies functions the same for Illya as it does in game, except that after using three lilies, she has a choice of three flower spells to cast. Afflatus Misery, which functions the same as it does in game. Takes the form of a lily. Afflatus Reverse, a flower that gives the entire party invulnerability for 5 seconds, takes the form of a Lavender. This is rarely used unless in dire emergencies. Afflatus Judgement, similar to Afflatus Misery, but it’s a single target damage spell with a higher potency, takes the form of a Carnation.
She never uses LB unless she is the only one left alive, in which she will either attempt to stall and use her version of LB3 called Endless Garden, or use an LB at 1 bar to stay alive and rez her party manually.
Endless Garden works almost identically to Pulse of Life, and the aesthetic that is slightly different. Illya will perform the same action as she does in Pulse of Life, however, pink, purple and white flowers will immediately bloom in a radius around her and spread outwards, until the entire arena is covered with an endless expanse of flowers. Flower petals will drift through the air around her, rezzing and healing all dead allies and also applying a 20 second defense up to the entire party. Massive inspiration taken from Merlin’s Noble Phantasm from FGO here!
Battle lines: “Be careful.” - when healing an ally variant 1 “I have your back, don’t worry!” - when healing an ally variant 2 “Focus... focus..” - randomly while attacking  ”I have your weak spot!” - randomly while attacking, rare “Cover your eyes, everyone!” - casting holy “You won’t stand in our way anymore.” - casting afflatus misery or judgement “With all my strength, I’ll keep everyone safe.” - casting afflatus reverse “Are you okay?? No nausea? No dizziness?” - after rezzing an ally variant 1 “I’m sorry!” - after rezzing an ally variant 2 (yes, even if their death was their own fault)
LB lines:  “Stay calm.. stay calm..” - while using LB 1 “Tis a blessing from the Matron we were all given a second chance!” - while using Endless Garden variant 1 “It’s been a while since I’ve done this..” - while using Endless Garden variant 2 “Oh Mother, bless us with your gift of life and abundance once more!” - while using Endless Garden variant 3, rare
Death: “No.. I was careless..” “I-I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” “I-Is this finally...?”
Revived: “I can’t even do my job right..” “Thank you! I’ll do better next time.” “I can patch myself up from here, thank you.”
Victory: “Is it over?” “Is everyone alright? I have some potions if anybody needs them.” “Thank you, everyone. I couldn’t have gotten through that without you.”
Others: While idle, Illya will stand still with her arms in front of her, waiting patiently for the group to move. If idle for a long enough period, she will begin to either pull out her fanny pack and check inventory, or she will sit down and begin to read a book. She is usually rather quiet, only responding when being spoken to by NPCs. However, whenever she comes across a location with flowers, she will always make comments about how pretty it is, or mention the breed of flowers she sees. If in a party with Alphinaud (he’s a healer too but pshhh rules), she will always prioritize healing him over herself. She will also be more talkative if Alisaie is in the party together with Alphinaud.
There is a rare chance for flowers to begin blooming upon her head while she’s idle, upon which she will take the flowers in a fluster and hide them away.

they nailed it on yorha raid 2. strong contender for best alliance raid in the game (i say, after one run, but i still love dark apocalypse so...) my party finder group cleared it with one true wipe and a couple of healer LB3s, p sure the vast majority of us were in there for the first time. there were so many cool overlapping mechanics: new variants of ones from dark apocalypse, and a bunch of new ones. even went pseudo-shmup for a bit.
so many story questions though... where are you going with this yoko taroooooo????!
so according to 2B, if it’s the real 2B, 2P and all these other white-robed YoRHa that showed up are actually created by the machine lifeforms??? and presumably in dark apocalypse, 9S took control of a whole bunch of em??
the first boss has an attack that’s a clear reference to the dod3 final boss, with a ring of celestial alphabet text flying out... looks kinda flower like too at that?? and 2B claims the white androids are trying to destroy this world? so is God acting through them?
anyway the white YoRHa seem to be coming from the Bunker. yeah the actual one from NieR Automata, last seen exploding in space after the machines took control. somehow it’s landed in FFXIV, much the worse for wear. along with the alien spaceship. presumably the ground zero for the manifestation on this world??
anyway at the end, 2B kills 2P, but a kind of bare android body crawls out (visually, p similar to Zero’s regeneration) and gloms itself onto a huge sphere of android bodies, which reminds me of the giant agglomeration of Gestalts that Nier and the gang fought in the Aerie! and then it turns into a giant humanoid made of smaller bodies! it looks so cool! hell of a fight, i only really survived by ‘being the tank’ privileges. so does that mean that the white YoRHas are somehow equivalent to Gestalts, or just that Yoko Taro has some favourite images he likes to reuse, or...
I just can’t wait to see how they bring this all together

Finished 5.3 a day ago, but needed time to recover and process everything. If any of you are procrastinating from finishing Shadowbringers due to fears that I probably shared, you have my blessings. Go finish it. Final Fantasy 4 fans are gonna shit themselves silly.
I gotta say though. Not many stories out there leave me crying all fucking day but in a very satisfied way. It was extremely good, and the final fight was really fun. I’m ready for the Extreme version of it.
I’m also including a short guide for the trial if anyone needs it, without spoilers. It’ll be first thing under the cut, so you shouldn’t see any spoilers as most of it is inside vids
IF YOU NEED HELP CLEARING THIS OR JUST WANT SOMEONE TO HOLD YOUR HAND I WILL BE ABSOLUTELY HAPPY TO COME.
I’ve uploaded the climax portion and the final trial if anyone wants to see. They’ll be after the guide. This isn’t the full finale ending. The trial is a bit longer than usual since I went in completely blind, and so did a lot of others in our party. We had to learn a lot of new mechs on the fly, therefor we wiped several times, but that’s what makes doing brand new content blind so fun. You get to learn and clear it together.
Koi 💜
Final Trial Guide
Phase 1:
Terror Unleashed (HEAL TO FULL): Dark Knight Unleashed skill raid wide. Forces the equivilant of Dark Knight’s Walking Dead on everyone and reduces hp to 1. Heal to full to remove Walking Dead or else the player will die after 15 seconds.
The Bitter End (TANK BUST)
Pause (STAY STILL UNTIL THE FIRE DEBUFF FALLS OFF): When a pause icon is above your head, it’ll count down before fire engulfs the entire raid. This puts the fire looking debuff Pyretic onto everyone. If you move at all or cast a skill while this is on you, you will take damage. Stay still until it falls off.
Play (KEEP RUNNING/MOVING): Same as Pause, but this time with a play icon. This time its a blizzard. If you’re character is still (Using skills does not count as ‘moving’) then you’ll be frozen and take extra damage. Keep moving to prevent this.
Fire/Ice Imbued Sword (FIRE: STAY STILL - ICE: MOVE): When he says “Begone, spawn of Shadow!” watch to see if he imbues his sword with ice or fire. You’ll have to treat it the same as Pause/Play. If its Ice keep moving to keep from being frozen. If it’s fire stay still until the debuff drop. The trick here is knowing when he’s actually going to cast it, as in second phase he’ll delay it. Listen for when he says, “Darkness must be destroyed!”. This will be followed by either a circle aoe around him or a raid wide aoe with a safe spot directly under him. He’ll cast ice/fire just as these aoes go off.
Floor Drawing/Sword of Light (GET OUT OF THE DRAWING): The floor turns black and lazers begin moving around to draw a figure. Watch carefully where the lazers go and get outside of the drawing asap. When the drawing is finished everyone within it takes damage.
FOLLOWED WITH
Bahamut Dive (GET TO THE SAFE SIDE): Right after a drawing incantation is finished, you’ll see Bahamut waiting and ready to do a dive right after. As soon as the drawing damage goes off, run to the safe side. Bahamut also appears later during the dark bubbles/stack/run away mechanic.
Phase 2:
Did you see and recognize that hand gesture? /wink/
Most phase 1 mechs will be in phase 2, but enhanced. Floor Drawing will look more complicated. Imbued Sword will now have a big delay from when it has been imbued to when it’s actually cast.
To The Limit: He’ll now start casting limit breaks to indicate upcoming mechs, starting with LB4 right at the start
Limit Break 4 (USE TANK LB3): This is his ultimate and, I think not completely positive since I haven’t done this enough, requires a tank LB3 to defend against it.
Meteor Rings (STAND IN THEM)
Elddragon Dive (RAID WIDE DAMAGE)
Summon Wyrm (GO TO SAFE CORNER AWAY FROM BAHAMUT DIVE + STACK/RUN AWAY MECHS): Two large glowing black orbs will spawn at two corners, leaving the other two corners safe. At the same time Bahamut will spawn to dive over one of these two clear corners. Run to the safe corner. Right after a stack mechanic plus the triangle run away marker will spawn at the same time. Stackers should stay in the corner while the person with the triangle marker should run through the center between the growing orbs. Bahamut will already have dived so it’ll be safe.
Limit Break 1 Radient Braver (SEPARATE MARKERS/CONE AOES): Similar to Earth Shakers. People marked will have a large cone aoe directed at them. Separate and everyone else needs to reposition to avoid the cleave.
Limit Break 2 Radient Desperado (DOUBLE LINE STACK): Two people will be marked with line-based stack markers. Split and stack but only ONCE. One goes off before the other, leaving the first stackers possibly tempted to run and help stack with the second one. DO NOT DO THIS. You will be given a major debuff when hit with a stack and you CANNOT live a second stack hit.
Limit Break 3 Radient Meteor (SPREAD AND HUG CORNERS, CENTER IS SAFE): Four people will be marked with huge AOE markers. Each person must run and hug a corner very closely. This will leave the center clear for everyone else. Hug it well, since the aoes are extremely big.
Small Ninja Mudra (PUSH BACK FOLLOWED BY STACK): A Ninja WoL (Not the boss) will be seen casting a mudra while mentioning cleansing water, wash away evil. Tidal Wave-like push back mechanic. Run to the side with the waterfall. This will be followed by a stacking mech. Don’t be me and use arms length or something similar to null the push back. I got the marker and died due to this since this left me far from everyone lmao.
4X Bahamut (FACE YOUR BAHAMUT AWAY/TO ITS’ CORNER): Four Bahamuts will spawn, each tethered to one person. This is like the Zenos fight in the Ala Mhigo dungeon. Each person needs to run to the Bahamut they’er tethered to and towards the corner behind it. The Bahamut will be forced to turn to face you and that corner, dropping its’ cone safely away from everyone else when it goes off.
That’s it, but let me know if I got something wrong or forgot something! I tried to keep it easy to read to use on the fly.

Again this isn’t the full ending. Just the climax.
But honestly I can’t express how much I enjoyed the closing to Shadowbringers. I’m so fucking happy that our little G’raha lived and got to come home with us. It’s just too cute how much he adores and wants to adventure with the Warrior of Light/Darkness. Hopefully he’ll get used to his new young, spry body. He isn’t a crystalizing grandpa anymore.
I’m gonna miss it.

Me and some of FC cleared Eden’s Promise last night and... whoo boy. That last fight was hard. I don’t think anyone died LESS than 5 or 6 times. But it was a ton of fun. I think I’ll wait a bit before I retry it tho lol. We finished the 3rd fight and we’re like “okay. It’s kinda late but I NEED to know how this ends. The last fight can’t be tooooo bad”. Oof. I’ve rarely seen a healer LB3 used in normal content. All the new fights are a lot of fun. 10/10 would die doing them again

Trust NPC || Sun’li Yhunja
SELECTION CONFIRMED: “All set? Hey, don’t sweat it - I’ve got you covered.”
JOB: Combat Medic (Conjurer | Quarterstaff Martial Arts)
WEAPONS: Two Handed Conjury Staff; Grass-stained Grimoire
AI Behavior:
Even though he’s a healer and should be staying at range, Sun gets right up in his party’s personal space. He never stops moving and dances circles around enemies, springboarding from place to place like an opo-opo on stimulants. He would be the kind of AI that would make you think: ‘Uh.... is this guy glitched?’ He will only stop bouncing around to cast healing spells as necessary, never letting his party fall below 50%. Because he prefers to stay mobile, he rarely long-casts offensive spells (unless he is forced at range due to mechanics) and prefers to fight physically with his staff, weaving quick spells in between melee bursts. During big pulls, he casts [Aqueous Veil (Divine Benison) + Regen] on the Tank and then goes absolutely ham. Basically acts as a third DPS who heals when needed. Sometimes he stays in AOE markers just to get more whacks in but always gets out before it hits.
DPS who eat AOEs frequently will end up having him practically attached to their back as a second shadow, and will receive heals via a firm bonk to the head with his staff. Similarly, if the tank isn’t using cooldowns and taking excessive damage, Sun will get directly in their personal bubble and bonk them repeatedly on the head while healing them. He is forgiving the first few times, but if this keeps happening, he will eventually start scolding them.
He shamelessly and periodically cracks dad jokes when progressing. When idling, he passes out potions and dried fruits. Sometimes he will remark on the dungeon’s flora, if applicable.
Battle Lines:
“Looks like a tough crowd. I guess talking it out is off the table, huh?” - Engaging Enemy
“Whoa! Are you okay?! Don’t worry; I’ll be just a second.” - Using Healing Spell, Variation 1
“Oof, that looked like a nasty hit! Wait right there - I’ll patch you up.” - Using Healing Spell, Variation 2
“Mid-battle bonding, anyone? Not to brag, but I give the best hugs.”  - Putting down Solace (Asylum) Healing AOE (if you stand within arm’s reach of him, he will actually /hug you)
“Hey, get off my tail!” - Getting Aggro from Enemy
“Sorry! But, I mean, you kinda asked for it when you picked a fight.” - Enemy Defeated
Limit Break:
“I won’t let it end like this. C’mon, take my hand... that’s it. Deep breaths now. I’ve got your back.” - Using limit break with 3 bars (Golden Hour) - He will only use LB3 if the entire party is incapacitated. After using this, he will gain a fatigue debuff that lasts the rest of the instance and his movement will be considerably slowed.
Battle Observations:
“Whoa, nice moves!” - Ally landing a critical/direct hit
“You really know how to push a guy’s buttons. Fuck off!” - Enemy pushing out high party-wide damage
“Ahaha, what a rush! You’ve got to show me how you do that!” - Ally uses party buff
Defeated:
“W-Wha...? No way... I... can’t...... ” - Variation 1
“Sorry, everyone...... I... really screwed up...” - Variation 2
Revived:
“Ouch, ouchouch. Ugh... I owe you big!” - Variation 1
“Talk about embarrassing. I won’t let you down again!” - Variation 2
This was really fun LMAO!! Such a neat meme hehehe ♥ If you haven’t done this yet and want to, consider yourself tagged!!!! (and then @ me so I can read, I highkey love reading these KEKE //THUMBSUP
