Why in my humble opinion the episode brings the Mersault arc to a satisfying end regarding Fyodor, Dazai, Chuuya and the message it has

So, there's a lot of energy buzzing around in the fandom with the latest episode and I felt like some things have not been pointed out enough, therefore I'm gonna share my thoughts on the parts of Mersault. This is a thread that focuses on the conclusion of the Mersault arc as presented in the most recent episode of the anime in season 5 and I will elaborate on what I think the message of the Mersault arc is, what Fyodor's role in this arc is, I will comment on why I think he was defeated and why it fits the message and I will also go into more detail of how Chuuya and Dazai play into all of this and what I think happened in Mersault.

I'd like to start with these panels from the manga, chapter 77:

Together with this one from chapter 105:

I think these panels convey the core message of the Mersault arc very well and its goal: Everyone is just human, no matter how smart. And humans are capable of amazing things and even moreso if they come together. This is the greatest difference between Fyodor and Dazai who have been countless of times painted and stated as each other's equals - yes, they are intellectually of a level most can only dream of, only rivaled by Ranpo, but unlike Fyodor, Dazai has learnt to trust humans and understands their bonds to each other.

Fyodor doesn't.

It's a message that is heavily implied and then outright stated by Dazai in the last episode:

The reason why Fyodor fails is that he doesn't trust in people and because he doesn't understand humans in that regard - he thinks that he is above this concept, thinks he can manipulate them and that they're just pawns. It's shown in the way he talks about Sigma, it's shown in the fact that he chose to use Chuuya who is Dazai's partner against Dazai to dangle him in front of Dazai and it's shown when he mocks Dazai for not being "able" to use a "gravity manipulator" and drops the famous line of them having a "shallow bond".

Fyodor is arrogant and very confident in his own abilities, including the one to control those around him. That's what makes him slacking though, he can't comprehend that a plan that relies on a bond and trust would be able to deceive and defeat him and the closer he gets to his goal, the less he cares. That's why he allows Dazai this last speech in 109 too, he doesn't think anything can defeat him. Dazai is at his wit's end, Fyodor is the winner. There's no way that Dazai has a backup plan, Fyodor is a genius and he already thought of everything that could possibly be, so there's no way, right?

Mersault always was about showing what humans are capable of and what they can achieve and that trusting in your allies, in your bonds with the people you love, makes you more capable and achieve higher goals. And it's exactly what happened.

Dazai states that he doesn't have control over all things, that he had a lot of uncertain cards. But he trusted in his allies and it pays off. He wins not because he has it all figured out from the start and a backup plan for the backup plan of the backup plan, he did his part of the plan and adjusted to the scene and left the rest in full trust with his allies.

This pilot stabbing Fyodor worked because Dazai trusted in the agency and Ranpo and them taking over control the vampires in time. And the rest of the Mersault story before all this?

That brings me to my next point, actually. We learn in the episode that it was all a SKK scheme:

Now, some people were unsatisfied that a plan that simple couldn't fool Fyodor, but I think that is exactly the point of it. Chuuya is a great actor (in Stormbringer he fools with grief and shock Albatross in thinking he saved the in two halves separated Doc for example) and the simplicity of this plan is what makes it so good against Fyodor - why would he assume that the great Dazai, his intellectual equal, another genius, would go through with such a plan?

And it's even better because it isn't actually Dazai's! Now, I have seen a lot of people talking about this and I admit that I assumed the opposite originally as well, that this was all Dazai's scheme, but thanks to a moot I took a closer look on the storytelling and I realized something:

Dazai describes here the moment he realized that Chuuya is on his side in my opinion. This wasn't a "Dazai orchestrated the whole thing and sent Chuuya a text to haul his ass over to Mersault" because it doesn't fit with the storyline. Especially the speech in chapter 101 stands out here - a lot of people are making jokes about how weird and gay of a plan the speech is, but I actually think, based on the situation and the voice acting from Mamoru Miyano, that this goodbye speech is a genuine one.

The speech in 101 seems very genuine down to the point of his fake goodbye in the end, meanwhile the tone of a similar speech in 109 has completely shifted.

And what happened between 101 and 109? Exactly. The elevator.

So, what I'm thinking is this: Dazai saw that Fyodor had Chuuya under control and he knows his partner, he can't quite believe that Chuuya would get himself captured, it's gotta be a plan, right? Soukoku isn't actually the brains-and-brawn duo even though everyone thinks that, but Dazai knows how capable and smart Chuuya is. He hid Arahabaki from him and figured out Rimbaud after all.

But still, there is this bit of doubt nurtured by fear - he trusts Chuuya, but what if this isn't his Chuuya? So his goodbye speech is both:

An attempt to snap Chuuya out of it, an attempt to communicate with him, the hope that carries him because this is his partner, right? Stupid Chuuya that always fights and always clings to life and knows to appreciate it a lot more than Dazai.

But also a genuine goodbye, just... in case. Because he could never forgive himself if he doesn't say goodbye to Chuuya, JUST IN CASE. He trusts and believes in Chuuya, but he can't not say goodbye to him, just in case that Fyodor really got Chuuya.

And then the elevator scene happens and Dazai realizes: He only has one way of surviving, but he will not drag Sigma into this, not if he can help it. And he made a promise to him, after all. So, Dazai pushes Sigma out, makes sure that Sigma is alive like he promised. Then he keeps falling.

The only one that can save him now is Chuuya and Dazai decides to trust him. If this is his Chuuya, Chuuya will save him. Because that is what they do: Soukoku come to each other's call, they trust each other with their life and in return get that life saved by the other.

And if this isn't his Chuuya? Well, then Dazai died for the sake of the agency and he probably thinks that this is a good way to die, too.

But he doesn't die. He gets saved by Chuuya of course, how could he have ever considered something else? Chuuya came to his help and he has a plan. So, now all Dazai has to do is play along, just like in old times.

I wanna talk about this specific part of 109 too - I saw people arguing that the fact that Chuuya has been acting all the time made the scenes less impactful for the plot or their bond, but I actually would argue the opposite. Like I just laid out, in my opinion he only learnt just before this that Chuuya is on his side. That means, they don't have an actual plan that they discussed before, but they're good, they're Soukoku - we have seen in Dead Apple during the Dragonhead's Conflict and in the Dragon fight 6 years later what they are capable of without much communication.

But this is not only a way to show off their flawless communication and synchronization again, it also shows us something that we always knew but that is now plainly laid out: Dazai trusts Chuuya with his life. He trusts Chuuya to shoot, but not kill him.

Truly, you could say:

"The core characterization of Dazai and Chuuya's partnership is based on pure trust where both of them are capable of leaving each other's life on the other's hand without a second thought or doubt." - from the Dead Apple guide book

Chuuya acting from the very beginning as vampire and Dazai finding out along with a leap of faith and them proving once again the close bond they share is exactly the way this arc was supposed to go and the fact that it was predictable in that sense doesn't make it bad writing. In contrary. Asagiri set up and delivered the message of the arc extremely well, the arc had a clear red string following through all of it.

And this is why, in my opinion, this arc was actually written very well and why Fyodor's defeat is actually a good break for his character arc (because I don't believe he is dead, but this here is already way too long and many others have pointed plenty why he probably isn't dead) and why I really like the message of the Mersault arc.

i find poly 141 x reader really difficult to write outside of porn, since there's already so many interesting dynamics in regular poly 141. i have a hard time adding in a FIFTH element, yk? especially when that fifth element has to be a reader insert instead of some sorta OC or smth

anyway, i think the best dark poly 141 x reader idea is basically reader being used as a sex toy for the guys. like, she's there for them to relieve their stress in. but in an abo au i could totally see them using her as an element of softness in their lives. with 4 alphas in one home, you need an omega to soften things up a bit

and there you are. soft and sweet and small (compared to them at least) and just so perfect. you're the unlucky bastard who happens to smell appealing to all of them, and you're whisked away before you really even know it

they'd have to be sneaky, probably. you'd have a positive reaction to their scents too, so maybe johnny or gaz gets you to go on a date with one or both of them and then kidnaps you. maybe price or ghost just grabs you one day. something like that, i think, but there's much higher angst potential is kyle and/or johnny lulls you into a false sense of security first (and you know i love a good betrayal)

they'd push and prod at your instincts to force you into a heat before anything else. lock you in their den (soon to be their nest) and surround you in their scents, make low purrs to convince your instincts that you're safe

and as terrified as you are - and oh boy, are you - there's only so much you can actually fight your instincts. lets say you're either not on heat blockers, or maybe the blockers are weak, but for whatever reason you're very susceptible to all of their little pushes

they've got you knotted and mated by the end of the week

it's odd, coming up from that heat. your neck aches all the way around, to the point that it's painful to even turn your head. despite the unfamiliar room, your brain screams at you that you're safe, that you're in your nest.

it doesn't take long to put together the pieces. it also doesn't take long to become very very upset

thing is, it's too late to do anything now. you can't break a bond, and they're not giving you any opportunities to get away. you're stuck with these alphas who have performed the greatest invasion possible on your body and soul. it's crushing

cue lots of attempted comfort. soap and gaz would be the softest with you, always trying to tempt you into realizing how good it is to be with them. soap is rougher when he fucks you, but they're both equally soft outside of that. they bring you nesting materials, constantly make sure you're covered in their scents, and bicker over who gets to cuddle you on the couch

ghost isn't willing to coddle you. he's sweet (in his own right) but he's not nice. he doesn't try to make you feel better - you're meant to be with them, why should he apologize for making it happen? all they did was skip the courting process, this is always where you were going to end up. he refuses to apologize for that. but he also doesn't want you miserable. he holds you close at night, soaks with you for long hours in the tub, and is always making sure you clear your plate

price is... weird. i'm never sure if i should make him the meanest or a softer kidnapper. because i could absolutely see a version of price whipping your ass raw every time you scream at them and call them names, but i can also see a version of price who just levels you with a disapproving stare and locks you in a small dark space when you get like that

regardless, they all smother you. you help balance out their dynamics a bit more, but they're always fighting each other for your attention. especially with the bond making it so they always know what you're feeling. and your instincts scream to trust them (and you can feel their emotions too, know that they really meant for the best, as sick and twisted as it is).

Yandere! Nobara Kugisaki vs Yuji Itadori

Pairing: Platonic -> Romantic - Rivalry

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Jealousy, Rivalry, Manipulation, Slight violence, Dubious companionship/relationship.

Yuji and Nobara are known as the class clowns in their group.

They're very similar to one another, even if Nobara acts like she hates him and Megumi.

Nobara's more serious and brash than Yuji at times, yet they have their moments.

For their rivalry, maybe you're another student of Gojo?

You train alongside Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, doing missions and various exercises.

This means you're often around the two due to team exercises.

Yuji's often overly friendly, easily excitable, and very caring.

Nobara tends to be overconfident, brash, arrogant... yet can be caring and dutiful.

Nobara doesn't show her caring side often, although it comes out at times when with you.

The two both care for you as friends and team members.

The two could either share or have a rivalry.

I assume romantic intentions have a higher chance of being a rivalry, while platonic intentions may make them share.

These two are primarily just petty at first.

Over time they no doubt see they like you to a similar degree, they don't notice it until they realize they're jealous.

Nobara is envious of how clingy and friendly Yuji is with you during training.

Meanwhile Yuji is upset you and Nobara have private shopping days together.

They collectively are upset when you choose to spend time with Megumi.

Their rivalry definitely starts as just jealous friends.

It's mild enough, right?

It's normal for friends in a group to feel jealous if the whole group isn't together... it just feels strange.

Both of them can be rather determined, although Yuji seems more emotional.

Yuji tries to excuse his jealousy.

Why shouldn't you hang out with Nobara...? He can just... go find you later.

Nobara is more... outwards with her jealousy even though she's usually level-headed.

She doesn't understand... why would you hang out with Yuji or Megumi?

Isn't it obvious she's the better one to hang out with out of the three?

Megumi is most likely aware of the two's jealousy, yet decides it's better not to be involved.

If you wanna hang out with him, he isn't preventing it.

Even if Yuji and Nobara are irritated.

Nobara definitely acts like she's the one you should be around more often.

She hasn't had this kind of bond with anyone since she was younger....

Yuji on the other hand doesn't pick up on the hostility from Nobara at first.

That is until she sabotages your time with Yuji, offering an alternative smugly.

Then Yuji gets it... and he's determined to convince you to be around him.

Again, their rivalry isn't the worst.

It's petty stuff, the two often arguing while you're unaware.

Even if you are aware, they're just continuously trying to get you to pick between them.

Surely one of them is your best friend, right!?

It would be funnier if you said you preferred Megumi more... the two of them are just stunned.

Their arguments obviously get worse when one of their obsessions deepens.

Like, maybe Yuji falls for you romantically?

Nobara would be a bit too prideful to admit she's in love... yet.

Meanwhile Yuji can't help but look lovesick when training with you or speaking with you.

Nobara no doubt notices... she's seen such a look before on men.

The idea pisses her off.

Of course he has to love you.

Why wouldn't he....

So while Yuji is trying to win you over on dating him, Nobara keeps cutting in.

Oh, such a shame, it doesn't seem like you have any time to indulge in Yuji...

Nobara's planned a night out for just the two of you~

Which leaves Yuji... frustrated.

The two have fought in the past when they first met.

Here they are fighting again because they both happen to have an interest in you.

Yuji hides his crush less than Nobara, who keeps it very hidden.

So in Yuji's eyes, Nobara is just being an overprotective friend.

Is she scared he'll hurt you if you date?

What's actually happening is Nobara likes you romantically too and just knows how to mask it.

I can just imagine Yuji trying to make peace by explaining his feelings to Nobara.

"Hey, I know you're worried I'll hurt them... but you know I'd never! I promise to treat them right when I date them! I don't want us to fight too much over this-".

He thinks he got his point across, only for Nobara to grit her teeth and admit her true intentions.

"You're such an idiot... I like them! I'M going to date them...! Keep your hands off..."

Once the two realize they like you the same way... cue more fighting.

The two would bark at each other like dogs over you.

The two may even work to try and win you over, with gifts and plans thrown your way to try and cultivate your feelings for one of them.

Again, it would be even better if you actually had a crush on Megumi... making their efforts amount to nothing.

The two propose shopping trips, walks in the park, training, dinner...

At some point you'll get suspicious.

Even more so if they get physically affectionate.

Yuji has a tendency to hug you and hold you tight... while Nobara is more subtle by putting an arm around your shoulders or waist.

Eventually you'll pull them both aside and ask what has gotten into them.

Only for them both to suddenly try confessing, putting down one another while they try to make you pick between them.

Their voices are hard to discern as they're speaking over one another, pleading for you to pick who you'd want to date.

Maybe you're not interested in them... or maybe you need time... either way, until you pick someone they'll be at each other's throats.

If you pick Nobara, Yuji's disheartened but will try to accept your decision... for now.

Nobara definitely rubs it in his face

If you pick Yuji, Nobara is sent on a tirade, yet accepts just being friends... for now.

Yuji's too overjoyed to care, holding you tightly while sticking his tongue out at Nobara.

The two wouldn't hurt each other physically... hopefully...

But they'd probably even sabotage the winner of your affections.

If you liked someone other than them... there's a temporary truce.

After all, they can't allow someone else to have your attention... can they?

Overall their rivalry is petty but not anything too violent.

It's a competition to see who will be the better friend/partner for you...

Even if one of them wins, the other probably won't give up their feelings for you unfortunately.

My mom’s been watching the squid game reality show and while I have a lot of objections about the show existing just sort of ideologically and ethically, for better or worse I actually ended up really intrigued the farther in she got because the behavior of the contestants presents a level of teamwork and selflessness and bonding not present in the original show. Like. These people really band together. And that’s not to say there aren’t people who behave selfishly bc there are of course, there always will be— Be even the people who make selfish decisions aren’t behaving that way 100% of the time. They may be selfish one minute and then do something to help or connect with someone else the next.

And I think given the fact that the original show is so bleak, and presents this supposed “critique” of late stage capitalism but without any possible solutions, and just sort of dissolves into its own fatalism— it’s really striking to see people placed in a similar-(ish) situation insist on working together and supporting each other in a way the original show either chose not to represent or made a point to “deconstruct” via having those relationships fail.

And ofc it’s easy to say “oh it would be different if people were actually dying” or w/e but I really don’t think that’s true. Things would be more intense, obviously, and emotions much more heightened— Any swings made would be bigger. But at the same time, those higher stakes would also only make the bonds between some people even stronger, even as it broke others apart.

And ofc there’s an irony in having watched the original show just sort of shrug its way through the tragedy (like: nothing anyone can do 😔 so sad 😔 we’re all just doomed, nobody question the idea that things could actually change, that’s silly) and then as soon as you put a bunch of real people together in this high stress situation they’re within days going “hey what if we just unionized”

It's been five years since the Blip. Most people keep telling you to move on and get over Wanda, but how can you? How can you forget the love of your life? It's impossible.

Your sister, Natasha, keeps saying that there's nothing you could've done. Deep down, you know it's true, but every single day you wish it was you instead of her.

You miss her kisses and cuddles, her unique scent, her laugh, her bright green eyes that were always full of love and adoration.

Almost every night, you're sobbing, hugging into her pillow and pretending it's her. It sounds pathetic to anyone else, but to you, it's the only thing keeping you somewhat sane.

Natasha comes by to check on you when she can. Neither of you say much, but you both know you appreciate it.

Before, you would hardly ever come out of bed, or even move from your one position. You'd lay down on your bed staring at the ceiling, wasting minutes, hours, days, watching the sunlight drip in and out of the room before the moonlight took its place.

You don't know what you'd do without her. Yelena also went missing in the Blip, leaving both of you dependent on each other. Her and Yelena having a slightly closer bond.

After the Ohio mission, Nat had always had the urge to protect her at all costs, the same happened with you after they'd helped you escape the Red Room.

Tonight was different, however. Tony and the team came up with a plan on how to bring everyone back, and if this works, you could finally have Wanda back in your arms.

The team goes back in time, and just as you are instructed, you bring them back after exactly one minute. But when they come back something is very wrong, you can feel it. Clint drops himself into the ground with tears in his eyes. Natasha nowhere in sight.

"Clint... Where's Nat?" You ask cautiously, walking closer, your eyes glossing over at the dark reality of this moment.

He shakes his head and sobs into his hands. You go over to him, dropping down to his level, pulling him close, letting him cry on your shoulder. Your own tears start to fall.

"She's gone, isn't she?" You ask quietly, a single tear sliding down your cheek. Rogers and Banner look at each other before everybody looks towards the broken man in your arms, waiting for his response.

"I tried to stop her, b-but she pulled me back," he sobs. "God- why? Fuck! Why'd she have to jump!"

"You know there's nothing you could've done," you tell him exactly what Natasha would always say to you. You didn't know the full details of her death, but you do know that if she did it intentionally, it was for good reason.

He holds up a glowing orange stone in his hand before handing it to you. "I'm so sorry, Y/n," he whispers, hugging you closer. You hug him back and take a quick breath, wiping your watery eyes.

You need to be strong; at least in front of them, it's what Nat would've wanted. Slowly you unwrap your arms from Clint and hand the stone to Tony. You stay silent for the whole journey to your room, feeling the team's burning gazes on you as you leave the lab and head to your assigned floor, the moment the bedroom door shuts, you sob out loud.

You've lost everyone.

You start to scream at the top of your lungs, outraged at the world for doing this, for taking away the people you love, for robbing your sisters and girlfriend of full happy lives.

"What did they do? What did I do to deserve this? Natasha shouldn't have died, it should've been me!" You yell to whatever higher power that could possibly hear you as you sob, tears sliding down your face without your permission. You feel so numb; you want nothing more than for your misery to end.

You want to kiss Wanda, to bundle up under the covers with Nat and watch your favorite movies together. You want to go shopping with Yelena and listen to her ramble about her pockets. You would do anything to see any one of them.

As the night goes on, you're still crying, crying about what could've been and what can never happen. You sob until your throat is dry, your lungs are out of air, and your eyes stinging from how puffy and irritated they are.

You fell asleep at some point before you suddenly awaken to the sound of a loud crash.

You rub at your eyes, trying to figure out what's going on. Scrambling out of bed, you run out of the room and look for the team.

Your search comes to a stop when a large meteor crashes through the compound, knocking you into a wall. "Shit," you mumble and wince in pain. Reaching for the side of your head to find out it's bleeding.

You get up, making your way around to the living room, only to find it gone, a giant crater left in its wake. You notice Steve, Thor, and Tony all in the center of it before a large space ship appears and fires lasers through the sky.

It’s the endgame.

You're with Wanda in the new hotel you booked.

It's your first time alone since the battle with Thanos and everything that went on with the Blip. Tony's gone; and Steve is going back in time later to put the stones back.

Before he does so, you all decide to take a minute to catch your bearings. So much has happened in such a little time, it's going to take a bit for your brains to process everything.

Both of you are naked under the covers, needing to feel any sort of skin on skin contact, in an innocent way. Tears well up in your eyes again. You've cried so much in the past five years, but this time is different. This time you get to cry in the arms of your lover.

"Y/n? Baby, what's wrong?" She asks as she rubs her arms up and down your back soothingly.

"I can't live without you, please don't leave me again." You pout, Wanda cups your face and pulls you into a kiss, both of you pouring all of your emotions into it. When you pull apart, she rests her forehead on yours, your breaths mingling together.

"I promise I'm not going anywhere, my love. I'll never leave your side. I swear on everything I have." She whispers, kissing you again. You pull away when you find it hard to breathe before stuffing your face into her chest.

Wanda starts to trace imaginary shapes on your back with one hand and her other playing with your hair, almost putting you to sleep, but suddenly you mumble something that puts a halt to her movements.

"Marry me?"

Without hesitation, Wanda's response is "Yes." Both of your smiles growing as you realize what's happening. "Really?" She nods and your heart flutters.

"I'm always yours, why wait?" You kiss her and hold her tightly. "I love you so much." Your hands go to her hair as you move to straddle her, your bare pussy rubbing against her thigh.

Wanda's hands shoot straight to your hips as she starts to grind you against her, your clit rubbing against her ivory skin.

Sometimes I'd like to headcanon that Killer would at first see Color as his new 'boss' or 'god' when he gets his good ending because of how Color is the only way he's able to get that happy ending, and since Color was the one who manages to comfort and save Killer when he was in stage 1 even though Color really had no reason to, he still did.

Then Color would like have to tell Killer not to call him boss or anything like that, just as an equal being is fine.

Yes, I can see this being an unfortunate but real possibility. Because Killer went from Chara to Nightmare, it’s reasonable for a being who has never really known freedom and is still learning what that all entails will assume that the situation with Color is still at least similar. Possibly also a defensive mechanism, getting ready for the worse by restoring to what is familiar and comfortable.

I also tend to think that Killer has..a strange view of relationships. A hierarchical, power driven, conditional view of dynamics. He thinks that relationships must always have the stronger one, the most Determined one, who decides everything in the relationship and the weaker one’s life.

The one who is least Determined or strong in the relationship basically becomes the other’s toy. Their every whim is controlled and decided by the other. The only way to get out is to become stronger than the other—more Determined—and thus able to control the other now, or leave.

This is another reason why I think Killer tends to avoid relationships, deeper emotional connections, and Stage 2 only really ever forms relationships with others if there’s something he gain from it or something he thinks he needs to survive. (And is quite loyal to those relationships all the same, willing to share his own skills, intelligence, resources and the like so long as the other half basically keeps their end of the unspoken deal.)

Can be something as simple as a sense of amusement and power (Swap), something new and a sense of purpose (Nightmare), or something more vital—such as a Good Ending, happiness, safety, hope, stability, love(?), something new (Color).

Because while in Stage 1 it’s born out of fear—fear of hurting others yes, but also out of a large fear of being consumed by another’s wants and emotions and being abused, controlled again—in Stage 2, the avoidance of deeper connections comes from a mixture of plain disinterest, but also the desire to maintain control and the inability to trust others on any significant level. That isn’t to touch on how some higher Stages just don’t really have much capacity to form emotional bonds, or will struggle greatly to.

So, due to his past all encompassing and consuming relationship with Chara, and his lack of experience with much other forms of relationship dynamics, Killer thinks all relationships will eventually take that form. Only reinforced when Nightmare shows up immediately after taking control from Chara, and takes away his choice to live or die.

Killer has no basis for any equal relationships. Either he has to be in control, or they will take away his freedom. (Which basically seems to be something he puts into practice with Swap. Swap wants to be friends? Okay. But he doesn’t get to call the shots.)

So Killer deciding to trust and try to nurture a connection with Color, or anyone, is a pretty big deal for any Stage. It’s saying ‘I’m willing to risk letting you control me,’ and ‘I’m trying to trust that you won’t.’

This song is basically kinda how I picture the situation between Killer/st2 and Chara.

Spider sense and bonds - A meta about the bond of Miles and Gwen.

Hello, hello, tumblr fellas! The final scene where Gwen senses Miles in danger even in another universe has been rent free in my head for the past month, so I've tried to think of how that works.

(If you want to comment on something here, please do! I love hearing what others have to say!)

Let's go! Let's start with what we know. Spider Sense is in the movies:

Just like in the comics, I'm assuming that Spider Sense exists thanks to the Web of Life and Destiny.

(Beatiful, isn't it?)

Being a clairvoyant power of certain level, it works with what can happen and the most relevant will be warned to the spider. In we have -

a. A danger sensor, be it yours or a loved one of the spider in question. Like Miles and Jeff in the spot fight at the beginning of the movie.

Or Pav and Gayatri in the bridge scene.

b. A sort of sensor for other spiders. In the first movie, that's how Miles and all the other spiders were able to connect and recognize each other.

However, this does not happen so often in ATSV, with just Margo and Miles at Society HQ

(Remember this information, it is important.)

Which brings me to my theory.

Spider sense works as a connection and communication between the Web of Life and Destiny with the spider, which studies all the possibilities that can happen and warns and guides the spider to the event.

Most often with imminent danger.

In the case of Miles and Gwen, like bonds of compatibility, guiding them since they met and only deepening over time.

Gwen felt Miles even in completely different universes because they are the multiversal soul mates most appropriate to each other among the possibilities of the Web of Life and Destiny.

And don't get me wrong, they don't have that connection because they're a couple written in stone by some higher force. Because the Web, the Spider Sense, doesn't work with anything written in stone (including that's where Miguel made a mistake).

If they had never met, they could fall in love and live happily with other people. But they are each other's ideal people. The best compatibility of each other. And that it would only be enough: for them to coexist, to have the possibility of seeing each other, and boom! This connection so strong that it could exist was put to roll.

That's why Gwen was taken to Visions even before Miles was stung. That's why she feels Miles universes away. Of the probabilities in entire realities, they are the ones that work the best. The multiverse judged it that way and guided them and guided them, because they looked alike and because they worked, not because they were destined to do so.

(After all, the whole theme of the movies is about fate is bs and it's more about the odds and your actions on things, so...)

And you must be wondering: why Miles then doesn't feel Gwen the same way? And got that instant hookup vibe with Margo instead?

Here comes the fun part.

Our Gwen from Earth-65 is the best match for Miles Morales, the boy from Earth-1610. And Margo with Spider-Man from Earth-42. Miles from Earth-42. And as Miles was bitten by the spider from Earth-42, Margo and Miles felt that residual connection. (And so I call Prowlerbyte in Beyond)

Remember I said it's not Destiny? Our Gwen and Miles work, but not all versions of them will work. Some are, some aren't (yes, Earth-8 can still be a thing, no worries.)

And that's their fun!

They fall in love, love each other, because they are the best for each other. Because they, just like in real life, found each other and clicked.

They are soulmates because they love each other, and they don't love each other because they are soulmates.

hii how are you? I'm currently studying inorganic chem, mainly coordination compounds but it's proving difficult. I'm unable to fully grasp what's going on. Can you please advise me on coordination compounds and inorganic chem in general? thank you!!

Inorganic coordination chem is part of my thesis, you've come to the right place :) Also, I'm going to make this a university-level thing - I didn't study coordination chem in school, so I'm assuming that's the level you expect - but if you actually need advice on studying high school inorganic chem, please let me know!

First, a textbook rec: I studied off Cotton's Basic inorganic chemistry a lot and I liked it. My professor recommended Atkins' Inorganic chemistry too; I admit I didn't use it that much bc I also had some Polish textbooks I found very helpful, but from what I did see, it seemed very comprehensive and in-depth - so if Cotton isn't enough, Atkins might be better for you.

Inorganic chem

orbitals matter: I think it's important to grasp orbitals and hybridization before going any further. This stuff keeps coming up again and again, so if you find yourself struggling with understanding concepts in inorganic chem, I'd suggest making sure you understand atomic and molecular orbitals first.

periodic table trends: please don't memorize them. Please. Understand them. There's a reason why, for example, atomic radii decrease within periods even though both electrons and protons are added as you move to the right (the screening effect - and again, orbitals!). Once more, I liked the way it was explained in Cotton's textbook.

I found flashcards very helpful for studying the properties of the elements and their compounds as that's mostly memorization. Same for HSAB, really.

if your inorganic chem course covers elements of group theory too, here is a website my thesis supervisor told me about :) I think it's pretty great. If you're digging really, really deep into it, Cotton has a whole textbook on group theory in chemistry (Chemical Applications of Group Theory), but I doubt you'd need it for a basic inorganic chem course.

Coordination chem

surprise, surprise: ✨ orbitals ✨. Once more, to understand what's going on with coordination compounds, first you need to understand the molecular orbital theory well.

metals oftentimes have a preference for a specific coordination number. Frequently, a whole group will have a preference for the same CN (group 7 ions, for example, prefer CN = 6). That doesn't mean other CNs don't exist, but knowing there's a pattern can be helpful while studying.

coordination numbers aren't totally random. The rules may not be strict and foolproof, but again, there's a general pattern that's worth keeping in mind: bigger ion usually = higher CN (duh?), CNs are usually even (and we still don't really know why that's so! Although it may have to do with geometry and symmetry) and sometimes depend on the charge of the ligand.

crystal field theory. Okay so CFT is really cool, but I see how it can be super confusing too. I'm not sure how deep you have to dig into this stuff for your course, so apologies if I go a little overboard 😅 My advise for studying it would be:

try to visualize the given complex, actually see the position of the ligands in relation to the orbitals

remember: it's all about lowering the energy. That's the core of CFT. Pauli's exclusion principle always, always stands, but CFT tells us coordination compounds are systems that "want to" have the lowest possible energy so bad they'll sometimes break Hund's rule to obtain it

keep in mind CFT is only a model. Some parts of it may not make any sense to you (like the fact it treats all metal - ligand bonds as purely ionic). It just so happens that despite its many simplifications that are obviously not true, CFT still accurately describes many complex compounds

I've had an ask on studying nomenclature, too.

Before It Ends (Jiyan x Fem!Reader) [Chapter 1 : Uncertain]

"General, we need your help over here!"

"General Jiyan, we don't have enough medics here, can we please use your assistance?"

"General, we've received reports of a high number of Tacet Discord anomalies located near the outskirts of Jinzhou, the threat level is lethal-"

It was just one situation after the other, there is no time to rest right now. After demolishing the Tacet Discord creatures near Jinzhou, the General heads back to the rearguard base, where the soldiers approached him with urgency, pressing for his assistance - they are currently low on medical staff, they tell him, therefore his support is needed immediately. Jiyan can't possibly deny the cry of his comrades, he gives a brief nod and purposefully heads over to the tents, where the injured are treated. The soldiers are badly wounded, Jiyan can see that, and guilt clutches his tender heart. His purpose is to protect, to ward off the evil from the innocent, he knows he shouldn't place the blame upon his own shoulders. But sometimes, he can't help it.

Rigorously treating the last soldier's injuries with medicine he made himself, Jiyan is met with words of gratitude and faces of satisfaction from his comrades. "Thank you, General Jiyan, you're a lifesaver!" One says. Hearing people praise him, seeing the look of radiance on other's faces whenever his duty is fulfilled is something Jiyan learned to love. It reminds him of why he still continues to fight. The moon hangs high in Solaris-3's galactic sky, Jiyan's sharp eyes-the colour of daffodils-look amongst the plethora of shimmering stars. 1, 2, 3... too many to count. The stars remind Jiyan of Y/N eyes, the way those orbs beautifully twinkle whenever he speaks to her.

Jiyan ventures off to his private headquarters, it's getting late and his services are no longer necessary. For now. If one were to look closely, they'd see a twinge of weariness in his movements, all of this work is stressing the General out, and he hates to admit he's drained. Jiyan stands before the large window in his room, bathing himself in the pale moonlight's glow. A rhythmic knock at the door catches Jiyan off guard - another problem so soon? "Come in." Jiyan answered with authority, it was evident from his voice how tired he was at the moment.

You've known each other since your trainee days at the Military Academy. Over time, you grew to be Jiyan's closest comrade due to your bold approach and candid attitude. It was your overall personality that captured his attention.

Even after graduating and being promoted to higher positions, your bond remained the same.

"Jiyan! I brought your favorite food!" you exclaimed as you barged into his quarters, catching him off guard.

He had always adored your cooking skills. From fried foods to ramen, from soup to dessert, Jiyan will always devour everything you cook for him.

His weary demeanor instantly vanishes as soon as he sees you enter the room. His expression brightens, and he can't hide the devious smirk that forms on his lips. "I was wondering when you'd show up!" Jiyan's physique is dominating but not as intimidating as one would expect from a General. In fact, he warmly chuckled when he smelled the delightful aroma emanating from the container you're holding.

Your cooking is something he has missed during these past few weeks of terrible situations.

Jiyan's dangling earrings bounced slightly as he expressed his joy.

You were grinning with excitement as he approached you. He then took the food from your hands and expressed his gratitude. "Thank you! You have no idea how much I was craving for some real food." he said, sighing. As part of the Military, all they eat during their missions are just rations like bread and snacks. "Do you mind if I eat it now? I'm starving." he asked, his stomach grumbling from hunger at the same time.

"Just don't eat everything, okay? It's for the both of us." you said, grabbing the extra empty container from your bag.

"I can't promise you that." he teased. You just sighed at his response and proceeded to take a seat in front of him. "By the way, is everything alright?" You haven't seen Jiyan for weeks now since he was deployed on a clearing mission near Desorock Highlands a month ago. "You know it's a bit difficult for me to visit you whenever you're stationed at the borders. It's too far away from the Capital." you said with a frown as you rested your cheek in the palm of your hand.

He took a moment to gather his thoughts, the weight of responsibility and stress still lingered in his eyes, "I've barely had a chance to rest. Our forces have been stretched thin, trying to repel the Tacet Discords around the area. It's been a constant struggle."

He hesitated, then continued in a low husky tone, "There are so many lives at stake... I sometimes wonder, am I really making a difference? Or do we just keep fighting for an illusion of peace? Seeing so much suffering is overwhelming..."

Jiyan couldn't help but let his guard down in your presence, you have a calming effect on him. As much as he tries to be detached from the emotional aspects of his job, his heart still aches for the fallen and those who suffer.

He then took a deep breath and let out a long sigh, pushing the thoughts aside for now, "But enough about me. What about you, Doctor? Tell me what's been happening in the capital while I was away." His tone shifted to a more lighthearted one, trying to change the subject and show you that despite the weariness, he still enjoys your company. He began to unpack the meal he took from you, the aroma wafting through the air. He was hungry, and in spite of his promise, Jiyan couldn't resist digging in a little bit before serving you a portion of the delicious meal you had prepared.

"It's always the same for me. I treat our soldiers from day to night." Deep inside, you felt a sense of sadness about everything, but you never questioned why you're doing it or who you are doing it for. Yet you also understand why Jiyan thinks that way. You always know that it was never easy for him to witness his soldiers die on the battlefield. You are aware that the situation is taking a toll on him.

"General." I said, grabbing his attention. "No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. You don't have to have it all figured out to move forward. Just take the next step. And whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome." You were always there to remind Jiyan of how incredible of a person he is-not just a soldier, but a General that everyone looks up to.

"You're right, Y/N. We all need a push sometimes to continue going. Thank you." He flashed a subtle smile, a genuine one that reached his eyes.

As both of you were eating, Jiyan would occasionally glance at you. You seemed to have this calming effect on him, and he began to feel a bit lighter, as if his burdens were momentarily lifted.

"If only you had accepted my request to join you on the front lines, I could've fought by your side." you muttered under your breath, still feeling irritated that he declined your request to join the Rangers a few years ago.

Jiyan isn't oblivious to the worry that flickers within your eyes. He knew you were looking out for him. "You know that's something I can't grant, Y/N. It's nothing personal. You know as well as I do that you hold value in other ways. Your skills in medicine and healing are irreplaceable. Trust me, if I see you in any danger, I'll have you back as a Medic in a flash. For now, continue doing what you do best. You're one of Jinzhou's finest Doctors." Jiyan finished his food, leaving nothing untouched.

"Whatever you say, General." you rolled your eyes at his response, knowing it's futile to debate with him.

"Stop frowning." he said, flicking your forehead. "Ouch!" you yelped at the stinging sensation it caused. Jiyan smiled at you before turning around to throw the trash away, but you stopped him in his tracks. "Jiyan." you mumbled, grabbing his wrist. He looked at you with a puzzled expression on his face. "Just promise me one thing, okay?" you asked. He could tell that you wanted to discuss this matter sincerely. "Promise me that you will always return home safely. I don't care if I have to heal you over and over again, just please always come back alive."

Jiyan's eyes met yours, noticing the genuine concern that clouded your features. He gently tousled your hair, making it flutter around your face. Without needing to voice it, Jiyan understood that you must have had many sleepless nights, worrying about his well-being.

"I'll do my best." Jiyan replied, aware that he couldn't make a promise as life on the battlefield is always uncertain. "And if something bad happens to me, I trust you completely to mend me back together." Jiyan gently patted your head and smiled at you.

His attention turned to the large window, the moon's light casting shadows on the tall trees that swayed in the breeze. "You should return to the Capital. I don't want you staying up late. You need to get some rest, Y/N."

"Give me a few minutes to get ready. I'll escort you back myself." he offered, not taking no for an answer.

Jiyan leads the way out, his presence as a General was commanding respect even from those passing by. His towering figure exudes an aura of calm and confidence, qualities that you have come to admire.

He mounted the horse with you, your body nestled between his arms. Jiyan made sure you were safe.

As the horses galloped, the quiet ambiance embraced you and him. A gentle breeze filtered through the air, causing the trees to sway lightly. Jiyan's hand slowly inched towards you. He wanted to reach out and hold yours, but he hesitated. Feeling uncertain, Jiyan forced himself to focus on the road ahead.

A traveling shadow of the moonlight played along the streets as the mount carried both of you to the Capital.

As Jiyan's horse halted in front of your home, he looked at you with a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Remember, stay out of trouble, Doctor."

"Don't worry about me, General. I'll be fine." you said, dismounting from the horse-it's been a long day, and you were starting to feel exhausted. "Alright, rest well. Take care of yourself." he said, his voice filled with concern. As Jiyan turned his horse around, he looked back at you one last time before he disappeared into the night.

Mer-creatures explained-

Mer-creatures also commonly known as sea monsters are mermaid like creatures yet a lot less human than the traditional mermaid the legends speak of. These creatures resemble or mimic other fish in their habitats but have a humanoid shaped upper half. They also exhibit higher intelligence than regular fish; some studies have shown they can even learn to speak a human language, (but this is usually only seen in bigger species). And almost human levels of sentience have been observed. They also exhibit vastly different social habits than fish, caring for young until adulthood and forming familiar bonds even to the extent of forming what we call villages; large groups of Mer-creatures living together in cave systems and reefs, looking after each other, warding off predators and sharing food. 

So far we have discovered two distinct species of Mer-creatures we call them, the Celestials and the Skeletals, these species don not seem to co-habitat well as they compete for food. Their diets consist of any fish smaller than themselves and sea flora like seaweed, kelp and phytoplankton. We have also discovered a mini variation of both species of Mer-creatures. Mating habits of either species is unknown as we have as of yet discovered a female Mer-creature. And no known cases of successfully bred mer creatures has occurred in captivity.

Celestials: 

Celestials are a lot more fish-like, the most known name for them is ‘the classic sea monster’. The pattern from their mimicked species continues across their whole body. It is easy enough to mistake them for a normal fish if you aren't paying attention. They tend to mimic their species temperament a little more than the Skeletals possibly since they tend to blend in with the locals more. Celestials must always have a light schedule mimicking the day and night cycle of their home habitat. This species is the most high maintenance of the two. There are three classifications of Celestials, Solar, Luna and Eclipsed. 

Solar tend to have brighter colour schemes, usually mimicking fish with Yellow or orange in their patterns. The sclera of their Eyes appears white while their pupils glow light blue.

 Solars are diurnal and have been seen favouring the daylight and hiding away to sleep at night, do not house them in a tank without a safe space to hide at night, they are susceptible to stress and may die overnight if they don't feel safe enough. Be sure to install emergency lights in case of blackouts just to be safe.

 Lunas tend to match a darker colour scheme, preferring black and blues. Their scleras sport a dark hue contrasting with the bright red glow of their pupils, some researchers believe this aids in their night vision. They are nocturnal and have only been seen active at night, usually finding a dark space like a cave or among flora to hide during the day. It is never advised to house them in a tank without a place to hide from the lights; similar to their Solar counterparts the stress is sometimes enough to kill them. Prolonged exposure to lights is not advised.

It is however always advised to keep at least one Solar and one Luna together, they tend to form a sibling like bond, their diurnal and nocturnal habits match well aiding in their survival in the wild, even in captivity this helps them feel safer and reduces their stress significantly. 

An addition of an Eclipsed class Celestial in the familiar group is a welcome one. The Eclipses tend to sport a mix of light and Dark hues usually sporting both a bright colour like orange mixed with dark markings, for example stripes. Their sclera tend to be dark like a Luna while instead of the red hue their pupils usually take a yellow or orange glow sometimes a dual colour is present. Eclipses tend to be slightly smaller than the other two Celestials. Eclipses prefer a Cathemeral routine, taking small naps during the day and night but being mostly active during both. This gives the other Celestials some company and assistance in hunting. 

Celestials seem quite territorial, tolerating a group size similar to those accepted by their mimicked fish, it has not been observed however for them to have groups smaller then two. 

We have two species of miniature Celestial Mer-creatures in our aquariums, our Clownfish Sunny a Solar, Moonmoon a Luna and Clips A eclipsed and our Betta fish Sun who is a Solar and Moon who’s a Luna. We're working on acquiring a larger variety of Celestials to further our research. 

Skeletals-

Skeletal Mer-creatures Also known to many as sirens, are somewhat rare. Their species mimic a fish similar to how a Celestial would yet the pattern stops at the tail. The skeleton of their upper half is then visible through their skin similar to a glass fish. The reason for this phenomenon is unknown but some speculation hints at a hunting advantage, tricking other fish into thinking their tail is a smaller fish almost using it as bait. But this habit has not been observed in capacity for at least half the species is what you might call lazy eaters. Skeletals seem to be content whether in a small group, a large group or on their own.

There are again three classifications of Skeletals, Sans, Papyrus and swaps. 

We do not have a Papyrus currently in our aquariums and not much is known about this variety of Skeletal Mer-creature as they are quite rare yet bold, fearless and elusive very few have ever been captured. We do know that their features are longer, almost stretched out compared to their Sans counterparts. 

Sans’ however are quite laid back in comparison, they are indeed lazy. They have very rounded features, they tend to sport glowing pupils but many colours can be found, and reflect a personality difference, we have tried to classify these as subclasses as they are similar enough to be the same class but different enough to categories but many researchers disagree on this, further evidence is to be gathered for our hypothesis. 

The third type is what we call a swap, these tend to look like one of the others but have a temperament more similar to the other, for example our two swaps look like a Sans class skeletal with rounded features and yet they are as lively as a Papyrus type, zipping around the tank and actively hunting. Although this term is widely used to describe this mix of appearance and temperament it is still a highly disputed term. 

Our Skeletal Mer-creatures include four Miniature and four larger varieties, As mentioned earlier we have yet to house a papyrus class siren in our tanks but wish to find one to add to our research program. The miniature skeletals we have are, Comic our Classic Sans, Fell our Serif, Berry our classic swap. Our larger varieties are as follows, Sans our classic sans, Red our serif and Blue our classic swap. 

Our disclaimer: Mer-creatures are not to be kept as pets, if you find any trapped in rock pools or stranded on the beach please carefully release them back into the sea. Do not touch them with bare hands; some varieties may be poisonous, use heavy deputy gloves and/or a bucket. Please also report any sightings of them to your local research aquarium or marine biology centre so we may certify the location and dub said area as a protected Mer-creature ocean. Our mer-creatures are housed in certified specialist Aquariums monitored around the clock by mer-creature specialists and are kept in cruelty free locations for research and educational purposes only. Jupiter is finally in Taurus, now is the time when all those fast paced decisions and rewards with Aries energy will be solidified and made more permanent.

hey can i request for headcannons for a scarab x higher up reader and how he is such a simp for them

Alrighty! Higher up YN x Scarab HEADCANNONS! :D

Ok, so I’m assuming that YN is higher than Scarab’s position and might be in the disciplinary department so…

Higher up YN:

• as a YN, their position or role can vary depending on the request.

• Possible job positions: a member of the Judgement Hall, could be an Attorney, or Orbo’s right hand (or Big Boss’s right hand?). Could also be a parole officer, Lieutenant, detective, or one of the Big Boss’s Agents. YN could be the person Scarab has to hand over the Egged individuals to for processing…

- I’m not entirely sure of the hierarchy, but YN could be any position, even a Cosmic FBI of sorts. It depends on what you guys request.

• Like Scarab’s Crystal, you guys get a winged orb that functions similarly.

• you guys can use the pendant for more complex disguises

• depending on how you want YN, they could either be a friend of Orbo’s or Orbo could fear them due to him bending the rules (like for Prismo or threatening Scarab for example)

• You guys are basically seen as super cool and can go on James Bond level missions for more major crimes and investigations.

• YN could possibly be undercover to find out if the gods are bending cosmic rules and could act on it depending on the intentions and severity

•or YN can be more laid back like Orbo and just keeps track of Scarab’s missions, could also be the person who sends him the missions directly.

Scarab X YN Higher up:

• relationship could be kept secret due to work related reasons or it could be open, depending on the request.

• Scarab likes to meet up with YN on the way to the judgement hall to talk about his missions. May even show who he has egged and share gossip about the reason behind the misdemeanors

• Scarab likes to stop by your office EVERY TIME he comes by to drop off delinquents for Judgement

• Sometimes you are tasked with joining Scarab in missions depending on the violation. (Sometimes he exaggerates a little in hopes that they send you… and specifically asks for you…)

• you end up with flirty E-mails from him, often sent as an attachment to the report he gives you. You could be responsible for reviewing the reports for record and court purposes.

• your favorite snack on your desk, every day.

• if you’re on your day off, wherever you hangout at, Scarab would find excuses to be there too. Pretending he happens to be going that way specially just so he can see you and talk to you

• investigations together

• will act more professional than usual around you, even going as far as to check his breath and outfit to make sure he looks good when seeing you.

• Scarab wears cologne around you, might even try on your favorite scent if you like it

• even when he’s busy, he texts you

• insists on having a picture of you and him together, each pic with a different form of his. His reason being that he can “pretend you’re his spouse for mission purposes” for “cover stories” to make his disguise more believable. When it’s actually just so he can get away with looking at pictures of you two together without blowing his cover during missions.

• Scarab will arrange candle lit dinners for YN

• Scarab could bring YN flowers, usually red roses. YN may occasionally come home to a rose petal trail to their bedroom… 👀

• YN can get involved to help Scarab when he’s in too deep and needs help

• YN puts a good word in for Scarab after the Fiona and Cake incident

• even after the incident, YN visits Scarab and they read fan fiction together. Where Scarab writes them either as two warrior knights who fall in love after many dark souls-like quests together… OR he writes you as the person in distress and he comes to rescue you in the most dramatic way. (May or may not be Shakespeare inspired…)

• scarab would rescue you if you needed it

• He shows YN his face more often, feels more comfortable and himself around YN

• He will ask YN to join him for a Steak out. Could be legit or an excuse to sit alone in a car with you… 👀

• He speaks highly of you, even defending you behind your back

• He shivers and makes bug noises when he thinks of you, like when a person gets goosebumps a shiver down your spine in a good way kind of way.

• only you can dance with him, especially if dancing in bug terms can be used for courtship

• he brings you a dung ball every spring (for obvious reasons…)

• he will fight for you and gets pissed if someone hurts his precious YN

How did his life come to this again?  He wasn't exactly sure himself...

He certainly wasn't expecting to be sitting here cradling such a small life in his arms. A small perfectly wrapped up combination of blue blankets. A small head nestled outside of them. The small defenseless thing completely asleep to the cruelties of the cold world. Little breaths taken as he knew nothing but slumber despite the messy curls of green locks threatening to accidentally get sucked into the open mouth. A small innocence in the chaos of the man holding him-

"Ni,Ni! Gyutaro, you're not balancing his head up right." A blue nailed hand reached over to push his elbow up higher cradling the infant's head. "Here. You're supposed to hold a baby's head leveled with or higher than their feet. Try this." He let go and rainbow eyes smiled happily at the slightly scared man in front of him. "There you go! I knew you could do it!"

"How do you even know so much about holding babies?" Sickly yellow eyes blinked at the more colorful ones.

"I hold them all the time to bless the newborns and welcome them to the compound."

He didn't question that but the yellow eyes turned to the other infant Douma held in his arms. A mirror image of the son he held only his daughter had a black splotach pattern across her cheek. His scared him at first that one of his offspring had been born with such a marking but found comfort in that her only marking looked so much like a flower unlike the ones that lined out his own body. They were beautiful. Just as he had hoped they would be. Relief flooded him, but with newborns it always was very stressful to handle. Twins were even more of a stress. He was grateful for the constant helping hand of the more experienced Upper Moon. 

"Scary Dad!". 

Both men's heads turned to a familiar sight. Ah. The white haired boy. Rui walked in ignoring the obvious presence of Douma in favor of walking right up to the skinnier upper moon. His pale hand holding the hand of his one year old brother and technically Gyutaro's firstborn son. The toddler toddled along being led by the eleven year and stopped when Rui did as his older adopted brother looked at Gyutaro.

"Douma and I want to go outside and play. May we?," the spider child asked him. 

Douma's smile got incredibly wider from right across from Gyutaro and Rui frowned. Yeah...In hindsight maybe it wasn't a good idea to name his firstborn after someone his eldest disliked but at the time he thought it was a good idea. Naming him after someone who practically raised him and Daki and got them so far in life...Douma was never going to let him live it down however. Always bragging about being 'Grandpa Douma.' The toddler next to him only blinked up with big blue eyes and unruly black hair covering his face.

"No...I'm exhausted trying to watch all of you." Rui pouted and Douma looked at his older brother... before mimicking his pout. He could call it cute if he wasn't so busy trying to watch four kids under the age of twelve. "You heard me. Is Daki back yet?" 

His sister had INSISTED on giving Y/n a girls' night out saying that 'she needed a break from mother duties for a bit' and 'he could use a day bonding with his kids.' No way he was ready to handle watching four kids with three being a toddler and two infants yet. Thank the gods Douma was always willing to help him with anything he needed.

In his own words saying, "If you ever need or want any help, just know that you can come to me. I've dealt with many children in my compound and there's many other parents and midwives that would be more than welcome to help teach you."

He definitely has taken up his old mentor's offers of help more than once even if Y/n didn't Always like him spontaneously dropping by Upper Moon Two's domain for surprise visits. But she relented seeing how much he was still struggling with the life of being a new dad.

"Then can I hold Ume or Yushiro?" He held up his hands towards him and the infant he held with newfound awe. "I barely get to hold them anymore."

He sighed. "Fine but sit down and do it. And be careful!"

"I'm always careful!"

Despite him raising a brow he rolled his eyes and relented, gently sliding Yushiro out of his hold and into the awestruck arms of Rui who perfectly cradled him from hours of practice by his mother and plopped himself down right there in front of them. A big smile on his pale features. Hm..Well he'd admit the kid was a pretty good big brother. Douma followed Rui's motions like before and also mimicked him plopping down only to tumble over on accident and then giggle at his mishap like any happy one year old would. Despite himself the actions of the children made him huff and smile the slightest bit-

"Uh oh. Did someone wake up from her nap?," Douma's voice cooed and it made him look over. In his distraction his daughter had woken up and up on seeing that it wasn't her father, mother, or older brother holding her had started to kick up a fuss in Douma's arms. Whining and moving her limbs under the blankets. "Aw. Someone's cranky. Looks like someone wants Daddy."

"Wait. What?"

He didn't even get a chance to say anything else before the smiling blonde was already hoisting the fussing girl out of his arms and plopping her right into a slightly panicked Gyutaro's whom practically froze when the squirming infant was suddenly in his hold. Ume continued to move around making whined of protests before looking back up and pausing meeting his usual terrifying face. She slowly paused seeing him and both just stared at one another for a long moment before the derpy chubby face gave a lopsided smile at him followed by a giggle. Something warm swelled up in his chest and she was held closer to himself.

"Do you need help there?"

".....No." He smiled. For once in a very long time in his long, hard life. A sense of domestic normalcy and pride only he could have. "I'm fine."

Sure! I rewatched Guardians of The Galaxy to write this :) AU where he and Gamora aren't together. I forgot how much I actually like his character-

Yandere! Peter Quill/Star-Lord Concept

Pairing: Romantic

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Stalking, Dubious relationship, Jealousy, Violence/Brief mentions of murder, Isolation, Fear of loss.

I think Peter has potential to be a caring yet devastating yandere.

He's half celestial and half human, which already makes him have a higher level of endurance than his darling (assuming they're human for this concept).

I also feel he'd be clingy since he hasn't seen many humans since living in space, plus he's paranoid of losing his family.

Peter for the most part would be a relatively caring yandere.

He wants you happy even if his action aren't necessarily the best.

Peter's worst qualities would be his clingy behavior, overprotective tendencies, and possessive behavior.

Yet he "balances things out" with how he treats you.

If Peter has romantic attraction to you he'll try to find ways to bond with you through things he likes.

For example I feel one of his love languages is listening to music with you and dancing.

Peter also seems like he'd flirt with you if he showed attraction towards you.

He's been isolated most of his life, and outlaw turned hero, so he's thankful to have comfort from you.

Just imagine, you and Peter listening to music while sitting down in his ship.

He'd definitely be one for physical contact, holding you to his body as you both listen to music or dance.

Music and dancing is certainly a way he shows affection to you.

He feels it's an intimate way to show he cares.

Other than kissing if you let him.

For the most part he's actually a great partner.

He's easy to talk to and even a bit goofy.

He greets you with a smile and loves it when you pay attention to him.

He wants nothing more than to hold you close while childhood tunes echo in the background.

Peter would be a yandere you could be in a relationship in before you really see anything bad.

Admittedly he does some stalking yet he calls it research and it's out of the way.

He makes sure you don't find out about that.

Far as you know, Peter is just upbeat and a natural born leader who can make most smile around him.

The clingy behavior you may notice first with how much he wants to have his hands on your.

Hugs, cuddles, dancing... he feels most content when he feels your warmth.

Touch starved... he's touch starved.

He murmurs praises and how much he loves you.

He won't let you go for hours.

Plus feeling your warmth feeds into his protective/possessive behavior.

Yes... I know... many yanderes share such a trait.

Especially heroes as their need to protect you ends up becoming something darker.

Peter is naturally protective towards those he considers family.

He doesn't always decide on lethal force yet he's willing to fight with whatever he has to protect his loved ones.

When it comes to you it's no different.

Yet he may also be possessive since (in this AU) he hasn't felt attraction of this strength towards anyone but you.

Hell, to him it may feel normal to feel jealous when others are around you.

He may even feel upset if you bond with someone else over things you do with him.

Is he... not good enough anymore?

Peter has moments where he gets outbursts yet unless you were going to die he wouldn't be impulsive.

Imagine this, though...

Some sort of tragedy makes Peter fear losing you, to the point he feels it's right to drag you into isolation.

If anyone nearly stole you from him, be it from death or their own selfish desires, he may indeed snap and kill them.

It's quick... shocking... yet it feels like it was instinct to him.

Sometimes... you have to use your guns.

Peter can't get enough of you once you come into his life.

Sure, kidnapping you and isolating you alone with him isn't right... but it's safe.

He'll find a planet that's isolated enough to live on and you'll reside there... with him.

Then he'll make a playlist of songs you both like and leave it on loop for you and him.

He knows the coldness of space... which is why your warmth drives him closer.

Peter loves you and for the most part would be normal with a relationship...

Until something makes him snap... driving him to lock you away and keep your warm love to himself.

"Look... I know you don't like my decision, but I need you to trust me. This is for us! Don't you believe me, baby?"

Since I adore torturing your ocs, guess it’s Adelo’s turn now... it’s only fair to even out the heartache

It’d been a year since Adrul lost his beloved. Adelo tried - He tried so hard to be there for his brother, if only to let Adrul know that he wasn’t alone, but Adelo couldn’t help ease the pain; Instead watching his younger sibling become a hollow spiteful king. 

In the time since the murder, the angel had met someone. Not some kiss-up that wanted power or a faceless one night stand. They were the light of his life, a comfort in the dark, his last ray of hope in this unforgiving world.

It happened while the prince was away conversing with Mother Miara about a surprise gift for his hummingbird. A battered, half-hysterical celestial had literally crashed into Mother’s sanctuary to deliver the news. 

Demons, rouge angels, or monsters - it didn’t matter. They’d taken what was his.

From afar it appeared like they were sleeping, if not for the blood soaked clothe above their chest and the dried crimson tears ruining the illusion.

As Adelo held the cooling form of his love the angel wondered what would become of him now that his light was gone...

It appears a rather determined group is going after the humans bonded to the princes. Admin, Belo, Miara, Krulu, and Adrul’s reactions to the unfortunate news?

Belo had previously comforted Adrul and distracted his son from what happened, but this might get the celestial to suggest something be done.

Does Krulu begin to worry for Admin’s safety? Is this possibly the work of a Higher that discovered his existence? 

Miara has now witnessed her Shard’s sons become cruel imitations of their former selves - Does Miara begin to worry for her own Charm too? 

*cough  hypothetically if one were to make a Siadar what characteristics do they have? Specifically the caste in charge of ‘serious cleanups’ - Not that I’m thinking of making one.... if it’s okay? *cough

"Serious cleanups" can belong to all casts depending on what you mean. If it involves violence of any kind you're more than likely dealing with a Protector. But there's nothing to say a thoroughly pissed creator couldn't do such.]

Adelo's reaction is nowhere near as calm as you'd guess.

Unlike his brother, he's exploding immediately. He's violently, uncontrollably exploding towards anyone and everyone. So much so that Miara has to transport the two of them immediately away, because he killed two angels with his first scream and mortally wounded another three with the swipe of his expanding wings. Too much damage... Even after he's stopped moving and gone into a paralyzed, almost disassociative state, Miara knows he hasn't calmed down. And knowing Adelo's nature, he won't be calming down anytime soon.

Adelo loses his mind.
