Whb!Lucifer wedding headcanons

This one is less jokey and more wholesome than mammon's. my mistake 😭

Headcannon: that angels and humans have similar wedding traditions because it was angels who taught humans their tradition of weddings. Even though it has changed a little bit, the more traditional Christian weddings are similar to angels!

Lucifer sees you as his future spouse. You make him feel every strong feeling that he's never felt before in his life. He's never wanted anything more in his immortal life. Everything he does and says with you is specifically to you for you. There is a reason why Lucifer only calls you "child of Adam" when you're around. You were his first kiss, and you were his first time, and as much as he loved God, you were his first romantic love, and his last.

First of all he is a man of God. And there is a very beautiful white marble church built and designed after the buildings in heaven. He frequently goes there when He feels particularly homesick. If you think you're going to marry Lucifer who's canonically still worships God and not get married in a church You are mistaken. Traditional Christian wedding a picture perfect white wedding like you see in Disney movies. He's not a complete prude He will gladly change anything you want from the wedding. The only thing he will not change is the venue and where the wedding takes place.

When you see the church it will be a white marble castle, its courtyard and backyard filled with beautiful flowers. Flowers he brought from heaven or earth or anything he thought was beautiful that reminded him of his home and brothers before he fell.

Lucifer is a little bit of a perfectionist. If there's anything you want about your wedding you better tell him now. He doesn't want you to lift a finger for your own ceremony just let him do all the work. The wedding hasn't even started and he's already calling you my groom/bride.

The two of you won't be seeing each other until the ceremony. But in Lucifer's words "it's not completely because of tradition dear it's because if I see you I don't think that outfit will live to see another night. And no one will see you until after our honeymoon."

Lucifer at first did not want to participate in the bachelor party However The other Kings are free to go have fun. But the Kings did not take no for an answer and dragged him to have fun in Tartaros to have fun.

During the ceremony his eyes are on you only. Looking at you with pupils dilated, a small pleasant smile and half-lit eyes. His voice becomes soft and husky whenever he talks about or to you. He ends in endearment and words of affection and affirmation calling you little pet names that he's collected for you over the years.

Lucifer is glued to your side a little uncharacteristically So, following you around like a lost puppy, his arm constantly around your waist holding you as if you are a part of him And if he lets you go, he will lose you forever. The entire day, he worships you and has dots on you, almost becoming a little smothering.

The kings are a little uncomfortable because of the choice of venue, but they're here to support your wedding for Lucifer. It's not like they can crash/stop, or protest in any way. Lucifer isn't one for play fighting. (Don't worry; notorious party Crashers have been contained via duct tape) Lucifer is sad because his angel brothers will not attend his wedding, but that's okay. His new brothers and beautiful wife/husband are here so he won't be alone.

The night after the ceremony when all demons go home. After You finally become his, He takes you into his bedroom, laying you on to his silk and sheets, and he makes love to you. No, he doesn't fuck you. He doesn't make you scream. He makes love to you; he worships you like you are his God.

For a honeymoon he would let you choose the destination, anywhere on Earth. He just wants to get away from it all, from heaven and hell because he wants you to be his entire world.

It took all my willpower to not make this like a What We Do in the Shadows bit. No one asked for this either.. so that’s why I’m writing it. Is this gonna be a series of headcannons? No… no. No no… no no nono. I’ve started tooooo many writing projects I cannot… or can I 😏 (I actually can’t I have too many requests I need to lock in on)

Did you know what land you were walking on? Did you see the figure watching you from the top floor window? Was that a shadow you saw out the corner of your eye?

Davos Blackwood // Bloody Lord of Raventree Hall

A manor buried in the dark forests of Blackwood Vale, an urban legend surrounded the woods and the semi-ghost town beside it. Locals would talk of a figure that walked the empty streets at night, and the older residents would sometimes speak of an old estate once owned by a wealthy family that could be found in the heart of the forest. But no one has seen this place, or perhaps no one has ever returned alive to tell the tale.

The ever playful lord of Raventree Hall likes toying with his victims before they meet their bloody demise. If a fool ever gets lost on his land, Davos will follow them around in the form of a raven, acting as if he was leading them to the help they desperately called out for. Some would fall for it; the ‘guiding’ corvid that had brought them to this dusty manor. Little did they know, they wouldn’t be leaving that place.

He’s the type to make Raventree Hall look appealing and safe to the unwitting person, sometimes even playing the part of a humble boy who lives in his family’s old home. He’d learn all about a person as he feeds them food, bloody meat cooked to perfection for any human. Eat up, Davos would say, it’s a good cut of meat.. he’d hate for it to go to waste. Oh? The red wine tastes metallic? Strange.. perhaps a bottle gone bad?

He’d keep his lover human, not out of admiration of their humanity—but as more of a ‘pet’. The only reason Davos would turn a human into a vampire would be for his own entertainment purposes. It’s more fun when you can handle him and not pass out every time he does something. Plus, he wants the security of knowing you won’t be leaving him anytime soon. Forever stuck by his side, living forever in a world of night and pleasure by his doing and his doing alone.

Before you become his lovely lady, perhaps you’re one of those lost souls who stumble upon the estate. Either by poor luck or poorer fortunes, you catch the attention of Davos. He scares you from the shadows, setting candles alight with just a gust of wind, slamming doors and sending phantasms to spook you with howls and haunting steps, sending ravens and crows to caw and peck at you. It’s only when you get to the main atrium of the manor does he strike. A sinister smile on his pale face as he lunges at you from out of nowhere, teeth sinking into the skin of your neck as hands travel up and down your torso.

A master of shadows and tricks, Davos isn’t one to meet his adversaries head on. He doesn’t think they deserve his attention. He can deal with vampire hunters and celebrity ghost hunters with a wave of his hand from his bed chambers at the very top of the manor. He can make it as if ghouls are chasing around those idiots, birds seemingly attacking them on sight, if he’s feeling funny he might summon a demon or two. Why does he have the title of bloody lord? Well, he’s just a messy eater, and the corpses he leaves behind are unrecognizable from what they once were.

Jacaerys Velaryon // Draconic Prince of the Night

The picturesque village that the castle of Dragonstone sits next to has gained a plethora of tourists. However, no one has ever been allowed inside. From a mixture of local superstition, and simply because the wooden gates and doors will not open. Nothing can break, or even burn, the wood. Cursed or blessed, many have stayed away from that castle said to have been forged by dragon fire.. if local legends are to be believed.

Local legends also speak of how beautiful women are kidnapped from their homes and beds, never to be seen ever again. As a tourist, you believe you’re safe.. and you don’t really believe in those tales.. at least you don’t believe them until you awaken in a bed that’s not the hostel’s.

Jacaerys is a vampire who is easily bored. He wants someone who’ll keep up with him. A pretty princess to take care of and to simply sit like a doll, but also one who has a bit of wit and brain to them. Someone to go hunting with, or to fly around in the dead of night together. Someone to chase, someone to have intellectual conversation with.

A little more serious than a certain bloodthirsty lord, Jacaerys will turn his lover almost immediately. What’s the use in keeping you human and mortal? There is no use! Now you’re just like him, and you two can bond and be merry together in that lonesome stone castle. All the others he had spirited away were awfully dull, perhaps you will be different?

Like a dragon, he hoards his treasures. He’ll keep you close, too close almost. Jacaerys will hand feed you blood, lifting someone’s arm up to your mouth and praising you for dining on the thick liquid and flesh. He’ll hover near you, you two are royalty after all. It’s good for a prince like him to check up on his princess. He’ll dress you in gold and red fabrics, or maybe nothing at all! Jacaerys does like it when you’re only clad in gold and gems, sit yourself down on his mountains of treasure and make your nest; he’ll show he’s a good dragon who takes care of his mate.

A scholar of dragon magic, the only thing that can destroy his castle is what made it in the first place. Dragon fire. And dragons died out long long ago sweet thing (or never existed at all…). He’s perhaps the only one that remains! Believe whatever you will, Jacaerys will happily prove to you that dragons are real. And you believe it as you watch him transform into one to deal with trespassers who had somehow broken into the castle. Sure there’s ways in if your crafty enough, but what people don’t say is that there’s no way out once you’re in. The charred piles of bones that litter the treasure room are a testament to that.

Cregan Stark // Vampiric King in the North

Perhaps the only one out of the trio to be semi-normal. An urban legend surrounds the snowy mountains of a large wolf that leads lost wanderers to an empty yet warm and alive stone keep. It’s said if you stay for one night and leave the next day, you’ll find your way back to civilization. However, overstay your welcome and you won’t be heard from ever again…

Your car had broke down, and you hadn’t expected such a large snowstorm to sweep through. You’re on the brink of hypothermia, however you spot something in the distance. The howl of a wolf reaching your ears as the wild beast walks toward you. It almost seems to gesture toward you with its head, beckoning for you to follow. You’ve heard this legend, and so when you find yourself in the safety and warmth of a stone fortress you do your best to remain courteous and respectful. The plan was to leave in the morning, however when you try to open the large wooden door to leave—it slams shut on you before locking tightly.

Cregan likes your humanity, wishing only to learn from you. He would not covet you like a prize, nor would he treat you like a pet. To turn you without your consent? Unfathomable. If you wish to be turned, he would gladly do so at your request. Although he would tell you what you’ll miss, what you will be letting go of in exchange for this eternal life of coldness and blood. Perhaps it’ll all be worth it in the face of his love and companionship?

Teach him everything about you, and he’ll teach you all he knows. Cregan’s an old soul who’s lived more lifetimes than he can remember. He’s powerful, ancient; that uppity prince and cocky lord answer to him! He’s their overlord, they are his mere sons subordinates. All that aside, Cregan has vast collections of knowledge from throughout the ages. Although do remember, he scratches your back, and you will scratch his. Or he’ll show you what happens to those who’ve forgotten such an important lesson.

Unlike his underlings, Cregan can control his appetite for blood. He’s learned, and so he keeps a stockpile of it. Some of it ages like wine in a cellar, other bottles he keeps near and close. A special cabinet is reserved for special blood of course. What? You’ve never tried the blood of a priest? It’s heavenly.

Unlike the other two, Cregan lives more on red meats. Which he can get from almost anything. Although due to the coldness of the region, not many animals venture out. For a special occasion, you’ll find your plate full of fresh organs and fatty raw meat. A glass of thick red liquid right next to your plate. Cheers and eat your fill, it’s fresher than fresh. And who knows when an unsuspecting person will come up these mountains again?

"Satoru-san did we win?" You said tiredly "yes... We won sukuna is dead" gojo responded holding you in his arms "I'm glad to hear that I don't feel any pain so I guess I'm dying" you said with a heavy heart not wanting this to be the end "I'll probably die soon too you aren't alone" gojo said looking down at you

"Satoru-san don't die yet I wasn't that much use in the fight I'm so sorry" you said shaking a bit for the cries you wanted to let out "no that isn't true please don't say that" gojo said nodding his head "ah... Satoru-san do you remember when we first met? I was actually lost and you helped me" you said smiling at the memory

"no it was the other way around you were such a normal girl when we first met that you saved me you got excited over the smallest things and your laughter was like bells ringing you must have struggled on your way to become a jujutsu sorcerer but you didn't give any indication of that I enjoyed talking to you and was happy to feel like a normal teenage boy" he said smiling with you at those memories you guys shared together

"Your bottomless, cheerfulness and kindness has saved many people so you should be proud I'm sure the others felt the same way I would never let anyone say otherwise" he said his grip on you never loosened you felt extremely happy hearing that from him that your tears came back and fell like a waterfall this time

"Waaah! I'm so happy I care about you so much Satoru-san! The meals always tasted best with you Satoru because you look at me with so much affection! Satoru-san please if we're reborn and we're reborn as humans can I be your bride?" You said in between sobs "yes of course if you will agree to have me and this time I will make you happy and protect so you don't die something I couldn't do in this timeline" satoru said holding you as tightly as possible not wanting to ever let you go

Hazbin Hotel Ep1 Rewrite

Okay, let’s get the shit I like first out of the way. Animation? Beautiful. Art style? Iconic. Music? Pops off.

Okay, now the fun part…

First let me just say, I adore biblical lore. So when I see something changed from the og lore, where I think the og was more interesting, I cannot let it go.

(I’m gonna focus on the Charlie storyline in the episode)

1. The Backstory

Let’s start with the first scene, the backstory of Lucifer and Lilith. In the show, they got some of the timeline and motivations wrong. I understand that the story is sugar coated, but hear me out.

“Once upon a time, there was a dazzling kingdom protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. Home to beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and lived in peace and harmony under the rule of God. The most beautiful of the Angels was Lucifer. He was a dreamer, with fantastical ideas for all creation. But he was restricted by God and the elders of Heaven, for they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world.

Outraged by this injustice, Lucifer gathered an army of Angels, and declared war on the kingdom of Heaven. The battle raged on for centuries, but in the end, Heaven reigned victorious. As punishment for their betrayal, Lucifer and his army were cast out of Heaven. Banished to a crumbling wasteland, where the light of God could not reach. But Lucifer would not wallow in failure. From the barren landscape he rose a beautiful golden palace, crowned himself king and crafted a plan to share his freedom with God’s newest creation. Humanity.”

(I like to imagine that when Lucifer and his army fell, their wings burned up, leaving scattered feathers everywhere. In order to fly to Eden, Lucifer gathered these burned feathers and turned them into a new pair of wings for himself. They were black, messy, and trailed billowing smoke, but they could fly.)

Now for the Lilith part of the story. The more popular interpretation of her is that she is the first wife of Adam, but there is another version too, one where she is Adam’s second Wife after Eve. I personally prefer the latter because I can’t see anyone sinning or getting cast out of Edan before Eve eats the apple.

“He approached the garden of Edan in disguise, and offered the forbidden fruit of knowledge to the mother of humanity, Eve, who gladly accepted. But with the gift of knowledge and freedom, came a terrible curse. Evil bleed into the earth, and humanity was infected by darkness and sin.

For her disobedience Eve was cast out of Edan, to the dismay of her love, Adam. To appease him, the Angels crafted him a new bride, Lilith. Lilith was beautiful, with a voice so enchanting even Lucifer was mesmerized, but she was strong willed and refused to be subservient to her new husband. She fled from the garden, and rather than chase her, Adam found the tree of knowledge and bit into the forbidden fruit, so he could follow his true love, and be with her once more.

Lilith wandered, lost and alone, until she was found by Lucifer. Enamored by her beauty and iron will, he gave her his heart and made her his queen.”

Then you have the bit about Lucifer becoming depressed while Lilith thrived in Hell. I hate this! I was looking forward to a demonic Mortica and Gomez, not another Stolas and Stella. Plus, I’ve never been a fan of uwu sad misunderstood Lucifer. He is a complex character, but too often he’s over simplified by people who read Paradise Lost in high school and misinterpreted Lucifer as a tragic anti hero who was treated unfairly by the evil Angels. Lucifer can be tragic, even sympathetic. He can be fun and a caring father. But don’t forget that he is king of Hell. He is the prince of pride. He has an ego the size of east Texas and waged war against God himself.

And let’s not forget that in the show he is the head honcho over a strict cast system that encourages violence, allows the worst of the worst to take power, and leaves the hellborn races at the bottom at a severe disadvantage.

In this rewrite, Lucifer and Lilith essentially switch places, except Lilith isn’t a pathetic push over, she’s an incredibly famous rockstar, who’s always busy and not around often, but still has a bigger role in her daughter’s life than her husband, who’s been mia doing king shit.

And the last thing we hear about in the intro monologue is that the exterminations happens to prevent Hell from rising against them, which while that may be the case, don’t have Charlie say it!!! That realization for her would make the entire hotel superfluous! Charlie has to think that the problem truly is overpopulation.

2. Meeting with Adam

Let’s start with Adam himself. I hate this character. Especially as an adaptation of Adam. Yes, Adam is misogynistic. He expected Lilith to be subservient to him, but he wouldn’t be the frat boy type of misogynist, he’d be the old school chivalrous type. Grandpa style sexism. And shouldn’t the father of humanity care about his descendants? It doesn’t make any sense for him to be an executioner. He should be the leader of the guardian Angels or something.

In this rewrite, Adam is not the leader of the executioners, instead it’s the Angel Dumah. Dumah is the angel over the wicked dead, and he was appointed by God to torment sinners in Hell.

I want him to be an actual intimidating antagonist. He rarely speaks (his name means “silence”) and has many eyes (is described as having a thousand eyes)

As for the exorcists, they are Angels, but not actual dead humans wearing mask. They just look like that. Dumah is described as having tens of thousands of Angels of Destruction at his disposal. That’s what the exorcists are going to be, but instead of thousands, I’ll give him five. They don’t speak and are hardly sentient. They stand on top of the tower like gargoyles, until they “come to life” for the execution.

“But it’s a comedy! Shouldn’t they be funny?” No. It’s all about how characters react to them. The Litch in Adventure Time is a good example of this.

So obviously the meeting goes a lot differently.

Charlie gets a call, looks at the number, and excitedly tells everyone to, “shooooosh!” She takes the call nervously, saying, “yeah! Okay! Yes! Of course! I’ll be right there! Thank you SOOO much!!!” She hangs up and happily tells Vaggie that Dumah requested a meeting with her. Vaggie is nervous and says she should probably go with her, but Charlie says that she’ll be fine and tells her to stay and work on the commercial. She leaves excited that the Angels may finally be taking her seriously.

She makes it to the clock tower’s board room, where Dumah sits silently at the end of the table. Charlie nervously starts to greet him before she realizes they’re not alone. The Angels, Gabriel and Uriel have come from Heaven, for a meeting with Hell’s princess.

Uriel remains professional, politely bowing her head as she greeted Charlie. Gabriel on the other hand, threw his arms out, happily yelling, “Charlotte!!!” He wrapped her in an uncomfortably tight and awkward hug, saying how much she’s grown since he last saw her. He’s like a chill but estranged uncle meeting his now adult niece who he hasn’t seen since she was a baby and has no memory of him whatsoever.

Uriel watches the whole thing in embarrassment. She tells Charlie that Dumah had contacted them, regarding some, “interesting,” ideas about the extermination.

Charlie starts with her pitch, but Gabriel insists that they should take some time to catch up first. He claps his hands and summons plates of food for everyone. When we cut back to them, Gabriel is in the middle of telling the story about almost getting his ass kicked by Joseph when he told him his virgin wife was pregnant.

Uriel cuts him off, saying she doesn’t need to hear this story for the eighth millionth time. She turns to Charlie, exasperated, and tells her to get on with the pitch.

Charlie says that she has a potential solution for the over population problem in Hell. Uriel, Gabriel, and Dumah look at her blankly. Gabriel asks, “overpopulation?”

Charlie goes on to explain that she knows overpopulation is a big problem, but 275 sinners were executed this year alone and she just can’t stand to watch her people be slaughtered anymore.

Uriel asks if she’s suggesting an alternative, and Charlie very excitedly pitches her idea for the hotel. Uriel and Gabriel wear a matching “wtf” face and look back and forth at eachother like, “does this girl know what she’s suggesting?”

As Charlie is finishing, Uriel is visibly annoyed. She interrupts Charlie, complaining that this is ridiculous and has all been a massive waste of time as she stands up to leave. Charlie tries to stop her, saying, “please, you don’t understand.”

Uriel snaps back, “no, you don’t understand! They had their chance in life and they earned damnation.”

Charlie responds, “you're wrong. Sinners made mistakes, sure, but everyone makes mistakes.”

Uriel pinches the bridge of her nose (or where a nose would be on a person) “a mistake happens once. It’s an accident, an error in judgment due to naivety. Of course mistakes can be forgiven, but we’re not talking about mistakes, are we? These sinners had a choice, and they chose to live in sin.”

“A choice they now regret!” Charlie defends.

“It takes a lot more than regret to be forgiven.” Uriel says coldly. “It takes remorse.”

Gabriel chimes in, “she has a point, Charlie. It’s easy to make someone regret their actions, but to have them feel true selfless remorse, that is much more difficult.”

Charlie furrows her brow and starts to look defeated.

“But perhaps not impossible.”

Charlie beams with excitement. Gabriel explains that this is a big decision, too big to be made right now, but if she can successfully redeem one demon, they will allow her to come to heaven and pitch her idea to the entire Angelic court. Uriel tries to argue, but Gabriel just says they’ll discuss it later. Charlie gives him a tight hug before he and Uriel disappear.

As she turns to leave, Dumah puts his hand on her shoulder. This is the first time he’s moved in the entire scene. He stares at her coldly and says, “the only reason you’re here is your father has spared you from the executioner’s blade. If I had my way. Each and every one of you would be slaughtered.”

Charlie stares up at him. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

For context, part of the reason Gabriel and Uriel were initially confused by Charlie’s proposal is because they know that Lucifer is trying to keep Hell’s population as high as possible, in preparation for the second war with heaven. That’s why he and the other princes of hell work to manipulate humanity and temp them towards sin (i.e. succubi and incubi). That’s why he arranges marriages between powerful demons to make powerful demon children (i.e. Stolas and Stella). He needs as many demons possible for his army if he’s gonna have a chance at winning. So obviously, sending sinners to heaven, aka the opposing force, is the LAST thing Lucifer would want.

Letters to Half-Moon Street - an absolutely charming epistolary regency romance told mostly through letters between the main character, his siblings, and his love interest. The mc is gay and demi-sexual (and a younger son) in a queer-norm England where gender norms have been replaced by rules about birth order, and there's magic - it's very Sorcery & Cecelia meets KJ Charles (if not quite as good). As I said, very charming, but when I read the two shorter follow ups, One Good Turn and The Education of Pip, it was pretty clear that the epistolary format (and romance) helped cover a lot of hurts. I applaud the author for including an aromantic character and trying to write stories about finding your place and self-recovery without romance, but in her attempt to create comfort she sacrificed any real development to the characters or the plot. (also, while the rich upper class characters are exceedingly nice to the lower-class characters, we still almost never see any of their servants. hmm.) There's a few more books in the series that are romances (and at least one looks like it might be epistolary), so we'll have to see if she improves. Fantastic covers though!

Safer Places - a comic collection that was supposed to be for my book club but didn't quite work out unfortunately! These comics were very strange and dreamlike, making me not quite sure what happened but very much wanting to think about it. The artist also returned to a story idea several times, sometimes taking on an entirely new shape, and it really lent a sense of connection to the book as a whole. Would recommend!

The Art Thief - I'm not really one for more narrative-type nonfiction or for true crime, but non-violent crime involving fine art? I don't know why I find the fine-art world (and crime) so fascinating, but I do, and I enjoyed this! It was actually a fairly nice, chill read to distract myself with in the middle of the election.

The Raven Tower - revisiting my first Ann Leckie 5 years later - this was incredible! Slow yes, but watching the story build itself out of all the pieces was absolutely fascinating. 100% satisfied with the ending, but it was also a bit of a cliff-hanger? I'll be absolutely fascinated to see what kind of stories Leckie felt compelled to write that take up half of the Lake of Souls collection.

The Silence of Bones - DNF @ 11%. I was very interested in this as a historical mystery with a female protagonist set in Korea, but leery of it being YA. I admit I wasn't a big fan of the audiobook narrator, but an hour and a half into the audiobook I still hadn't hadn't settled into the story, so decided to drop it.

The Village Library Demon Hunting Society - This was very high on my watch-list for 2024 due to my love for CM Waggoner's first book Unnatural Magic, but was somewhat leery of the cozy-fantasy vibes it was giving. My first shock came when it turned out to have a fairly modern and contemporary setting and was not in a fantasy other-world, though as expected it was definitely going for the cozy-fantasy and elderly-person-solves-murder vibes that are popular right now, and with which I've personally had mixed results. Overall though, it was aiming to be a sort of meta-commentary on cozy mystery tropes, which I think it was successful at! I think it definitely did better than its sci-fi cousin, the Midsolar Murders series by Mur Lafferty. I just wish it had a better title, this one is a bit of a mouthful and only semi-relevant.

The Hands of the Emperor - started slowly rereading this a few months ago with the intention of getting around to my first reread of the sequel. Honestly, the perfect book to be reading during an absolutely horrible election, I imagine I'll be burying my head in the Nine Worlds a lot in the upcoming years.

I wasn't quite ready to head directly into AtFotS after finishing Hands, so jumped around to some of Victoria's short stories I hadn't read yet. Terec and the Wall is the second Terec story - I admit I really don't have much interest in this sub-series? This one in particular was at least interesting in the second half because of its crossover with the Greenwing & Dart series, so I recommend you don't read this until you've read that. The Glassblower was...fine. It showed promise, but it was so short! I hope the second part fleshes out more, but idk. It's also related to the Ysthar collection of books, which is the only part of the Nine Worlds that I haven't bothered to revisit yet. To skip ahead a bit, the third of the Sisters Avramapul novellas is finally out! It's been a while so I decided to reread the first two books, starting with The Bride of the Blue Wind. It's a Bluebeard retelling and deals with pregnancy/body horror and is not for the faint-hearted! Sardeet was SO YOUNG in this, I don't think I quite realized before. Good but not my favorite of the series.

The Liar's Knot - loved loved loved. These books are so good even if (or because?) all of the plot twists are somewhat soap-operatic. I think this is my favorite in the series because the characters are a bit more settled but also having to learn to trust each other. And all of the secret identity reveals!!! I had a wonderful time.

Hotel -DNF @ 8%. picked this up at a recent library sale because a mystery at a hotel sounds cool! Then I started it on audiobook and realized it was a thriller (not my thing) written by a guy in the 60's (ditto). What I read was certainly passable and maybe I could have gotten through it, but I lost interest.

Heart's Blood - I've seen Marillier's work around somewhere, and picked this one up at a library book sale at some point. I got so close to DNF'ing this early on and almost wish I had. It wasn't bad I think, it has some beauty-and-the-beast vibes, but it felt excruciatingly slow, and something that I couldn't quite put my finger on was annoying the heck out of me. It made me wish more times than I should admit that I was reading Chalice by Robin McKinley instead. I'm not entirely scared off of trying Marillier's other work, but I'd proceed with extreme caution.

The Lost Manuscript - DNF @ 19%. A surprisingly lighthearted novel told in letters about a woman who finds a manuscript in a hotel bedside table and proceeds to track down the original author, only to discover someone else had added to the manuscript at some point after he lost it. She and her contacts try and trace its history back to find the mystery author. Seemed very nice, if you're looking for something calm and lighthearted? Just not what I was looking for at the time.

Animal Farm - somehow managed to escape reading this for school, and a podcast I listen to loves recommending this, so I picked up a copy at the same sale as Heart's Blood. I feel like I spent most of the book sagely nodding my head, like yup, that's how it can be! Very smart book, not a favorite but I'm glad I read it.

Kicking Ice - backed this on Kickstarter ages ago when I was still deep in my Check, Please! fervor. Finally picked it up because it was short and I needed to finish another book for my owned-tbr challenge. It was ok. Maybe a better choice if you're a young girl interested in hockey or sports in general? I also didn't like the art style used for most of the book, so a pass from me. I'm sure a lot of the info about the NWHL is also outdated by this point.

Chaos. Noise. Loudness. About as much destruction as you could imagine with four noise makers running around everywhere.

And no. It wasn't them this time.

"Grandpa, tell us again how Papa Sekido got his head stuck in the vase!"

"That story again? You make him retell it ALL THE TIME!!"

You could only sit there and watch amused at the unknown chaos unfolding. But then again that was the regular thing for this family of yours. You barely paid attention to the red eyed boy shooting a scowl to his nearly identical brother. Really the only difference was their attitudes and their eye color matching their colored kimonos. Your eyes only briefly looked up from the kimono you were attempting to sew back together, the tears accidentally left by Urogi's talons from rough housing with the boys again.

"Kido." Said red eyed boy looked at you. "If Kara wants to hear the story again then let him tell it. You don't have to listen if you don't want to."

Said eight year old pouted as his green eyed brother smirked in triumph. "That's not fair! How come Kara always gets to pick what we have to hear!? I want a turn to pick a story!"

You sighed again feeling a familiar fight bubble up but luckily the older man stopped any fight. "S-Stop fighting both of you. I won't t-tell if that's how you're g-g-gonna be about it."

That got both children to quickly shut up despite Kido pouting and crossing his arms. Well at least one problem was solved.

"He has a dam point! Why do you always have to hear about my embarrassment!?" Aaand here we go again as the older version of Kido glared angrily. "Why don't you ask him to explain how Karaku kept breaking things with his dam wind?! Or when Urogi kept crashing into a tree!? Something other than me!"

"Aw. C'mon, Sekido. It's just funnier when you're embarrassed.~"

"NO ONE ASKED YOU, KARAKU!!"

You again groaned and turned to two of the grown children. Sekido was glaring at Karaku from his place sitting as Karaku only smirked in a teasing manner no doubt amused by his daily task of filing up Sekido again. Gee. And you wondered where your kids got their dynamics from?

"Will you four keep it down? Rogi's,still napping and you four are gonna wake him up again."

You were getting really tired of their bickering now. It was getting really annoying and the stirring body slumped against your side gave you more of a reason. A third child identical to the first two slept soundly against your back exhausted from the amount of playtime initiated by Urogi earlier that day. Only difference between him and the first two was the yellow eyes hidden by the closed eyelids. It was a miracle your son hadn't woken up by the yelling from earlier. Either Rogi was a deep sleeper or he was so used by now to his fathers' and brothers' bickering that he could just sleep through it at this point. But you'd rather not have anymore yelling because of the upcoming headache that was threatening to make you rain your wrath upon the bickering adults. 

"You're not having to live through the embarrassment daily-"

"You're giving me a headache, Sekido. So help me I'll wring you out like laundry and hang you up on the coat wrack." The red eyed man quickly shut up as you glared at him.

"A-All of you stop fighting. Y-Y-You're all scaring me with your fighting." Said older demon raised a shaking hand up to rub his head.

"Sorry, Mr. Hantengu." 

Said protest seemed to end any and all arguments between Sekido, Karaku, and their little mini mes as Rogi just continued to snore away noisily at your side blissfully unaware of the daily arguments between your kids and their fathers. Sigh. You definitely had your hands full didn't you? Speaking of which..You were wondering where your other two children and their fathers were? Urogi and Aizetsu had taken Zetsu out for some quiet time away from his other rowdy brothers and they had been gone for a few decent hours. Rui was still out too so you were starting to wonder where he was too. As if the universe answered your questioning thoughts, the sliding door opened making all six of your heads turn to the door except for Rogi who still slept away.

"Heeeyy! Guess Who's Back! Did you miss us?," sang a familiar voice as none other than a harpy walked through the door. He waved one taloned hand at you while he held your fourth and final child in his arms clinging to him. 

Aizetsu walked in right behind Urogi and silently closed the door behind him. Your brow rose not seeing Rui among them. Where was your oldest? "Where's Rui?"

"He and Zoha decided to train some more. They'll be back later," Urogi waved you off with a shrug before spotting the sleeping yellow kimono wearing child leaning against you. "There's my boy!" 

Aizetsu blinked as Zetsu was quickly handed over to him and Urogi excited dove for Rogi- Only to land flat on his face when you quickly scooped up the sleeping boy away from him. Immediately two children and Karaku started cackling at the sight of Urogi dazedly looking up. Rogi being suddenly jostled tiredly blinked his yellow eyes open with a yawn. 

"Urogi, be careful!", you scolded the harpy that looked up at you with a kicked puppy look. "You need to be careful with your talons! You could accidentally hurt him!" You cradled the boy in your arms. Seeing your face, Rogi opted to slot himself against your shoulder shuffling against you before tiredly closing his eyes again. You sighed. "You keep forgetting that."

"I only wanted to hold him," Urogi whined sitting up and pouting. "I would've been careful! I always am!" Your rose your brow at him. "...Ok. I'm careful MOST of the time!"

"Debatable."

"Mama!" A blue eyed boy quickly wriggled around until Aizetsu placed him down. Zetsu immediately ran over and threw his arms around your right side which you welcomed with a smile. "Did you miss me?"

"Yes I did." You smiled wider. "I'm also almost done patching up your kimono. You should have it back soon."

Blue eyes lit up at you in excited. "Really?!"

"Hey, Zetsu! Come sit!" Zetsu turned to where his brother beckoned him to join them. "Grandpa's gonna tell us a story!"

"Is it the one where Papa Sekido gets his head stuck in a vase again?"

"WHY CAN'T ANYONE JUST LET THE PAST LIE!? IT WAS ONE TIME!! JUST. ONE. TIME!!"

You only sighed as you felt another fight coming on.

What about the serpent and creation motif. (I love how in depth these motifs are, it's really inspiring). Different anon, hi.

THANK YOU!! This one is actually an intertextual theme to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and the book's references to Milton's Paradise Lost

Mor's Frankenstein's Creature theme is enmeshed with her Cadaver/Zombie/Stitches theme. The Creation/Creature specifically symbolizes her feelings of being an outcast and never quite "right," uncanny. The Creature wants to be seen as the Adam to Viktor's God and begs for an Eve, but the true undertone is a deep need to be loved. Loved by a parental figure, and loved by a partner. Visually (and these are more inspired by the movie adaptations), Morgan's styled edges and waves (a very common design theme I use for her hair) are supposed to resemble the signature white bolt of hair through the Bride of Frankenstein's hair, and Morgan's hair color was always an homage to the black-and-white design of the Bride. Her dual buns are to replace the dual bolts on the neck of the Creature in the original 1930s movies

Dom's theme as the serpent is directly inspired by Morgan. In the novel, the Creature reads Paradise Lost, a story about Lucifer's fall from the Garden of Eden. With the Creature likening himself to Adam, the goal I wanted was to show that they are from opposite ends but are still ultimately outcasts-- that Adam and Lucifer are more alike than they think. This chapter theme is closer to the beginning of the you&i, where Dom is still a bit of an antagonistic figure (and something of a Red Herring). This theme is deliberately dropping hints that, despite their eerie meeting, they are actually emotionally similar and on the same side of society In general, I associate Dom with snakes (specifically the Chinese Cobra), but I decided to keep a more generic serpent to keep the demonic imagery

This theme dyad is a little religious/Christian, which has a lot to do with the Christian undertones of the original Frankenstein novel, but is also representative of their Christian families.

Yui is a girl with a very happy and optimistic personality, she is shy, sensitive, kind, usually dense, noble and easy to put into submission. She tries to understand everything that happens around her and adapt to it, but she does not succeed easily since she is often unconscious of various things but she is very sincere and apparently very compassionate towards others.

She has especial blood that is very adictive and give more strenght to the ones who drink from her,i imagine that reader has been through a kidnapping situation(like yui) from demons because of her especial blood and role as "sacrificial bride" to some demons, i think reader would have many bite scars of those years of abuse and mistreatment from the demons before being rescued for her father(a demon slayer).

But yep, here it is!

For this, I will lean more on your second request which is about the "sacrificial bride" for the demons. Also, I won't be focusing on the sacrifice part, I'll be focusing on the moments that happened after X Character rescued her.

Also, a bit of disclaimer, this is the first time that I will write for Mui and Yori sooooo, please understand if they'll be a bit OC XD Also, I will age up Genya and Mui here to at least 18.

Little backstory: Y/N has a Marechi blood, and because of it, the townspeople started believing that sacrificing her would be the end of the demons' plague in their town. But then, X Character comes just in time before the demons could devour Y/N. She's full of blood and wounds. X Character manages to kill the demons. And with that, he took Y/N and his father away from that town, telling the people that what they did was wrong.

Years later while living together, both fall for each other but Y/N still suffers from the trauma. She lost her father and that added to the reason why she also lost her laughter and her jolly attitude. But with X Character, she manages to bring it all back again.

(So this is an AU where Genya and Muichiro are older but the war with Muzan still hasn't happened)

But then, Genya will tell you that he'll never let anything bad happen to you now.

❥ His Demon Slayer priorities aren't an obstacle, as both of you work for the Corps. It's just that Genya is too stubborn; he loves tagging along with you on your missions. As much as he wants you to tag with him on his, he prefers you staying with his master, Gyomei, to train more. He's very protective, but not to the point that he oversteps you.

❥ Whenever he comes back from his missions, Genya's tsundere part is gone. The individual will immediately entice you to a more private area so he can gently caress your lips. Genya loves to caress the scar on your back, saying that it doesn't look bad. Actually, he adores you for who you are so much.

❥ The sweetest thing you can get from your lover is whenever he sleeps beside you and pulls you to cuddle with him. Sometimes, the painful memories will come, but Genya will tell you that those memories are just a small part of what's ahead of you. And you are more than the things that hurt you. Yes, he cusses a lot. "Fuck those villagers! They're bird brains for thinking sacrificing you will stop that fucking demon!" But eventually, he will stop doing that and will just tell you that he'll massage your back, and sometimes things will escalate from that massage.

❥ You don't know if Genya ever sleeps. He's the one who wakes you up whenever you have nightmares about your past. He will make sure to tell you that your captors will never come back for you. He won't let them. You trust Genya with all your heart, so his words never fail to soothe you.

❥ Despite both of your dark pasts, Genya is the light that keeps you on track. He had brought back the part that you had lost a long time ago, and you are happy because of that. You're one of his priorities. Even if he'll never share his feelings that easily, he will make sure to act on his best around you.

But then things changed when you decided to stick with him, whether he liked it or not. You've lived with Muichiro for years now, and you've grown quite comfortable with him.

❥ Conversations? I doubt it. "You want to come with me, right? Bear with it." He'll tell you whenever you ask him why he won't talk to you. But it all changed when he came back from his mission in Swordsmith Village. He was just 14 back then, and that was the first time that you saw his eyes shine bright.

❥ Yes, that change was the reason why you're wrapped with him now on the bed. He is now 19. Five years later, that change happened, but it felt like yesterday. From the Muichiro who ignored your cries and never comforted you for all the pain you've felt since he rescued you. The guy changed into the sweetest being.

❥ He had seen all your scars, and the new scintillate in his eyes shows that they never bothered him. "Just imagine them as maps on your body. Without these, I wouldn't have found you." ❥ Muichiro is serious about his job as a Hashira. But that didn't stop him from showering you with his newfound passion. He's surprisingly sweet. He'll bring home flowers or food from his missions. One time, he was even on a crutch when he went home, but your lover made sure to still bring you the most beautiful kimono that you have ever seen.

❥ Dates are never a problem. Muichiro loves taking strides, especially when it is with you. You'll always find yourself holding hands with him while walking around the estate where you both live. And yes, on those walks, expect that he'll kiss you.

When you think of your father, who perished as a result of the demon that was wreaking havoc in your community, he would tightly embrace you and reassure you that it wasn't your fault. ❥ Muichiro will shush you whenever you're crying from your nightmares. He'll assure you that he's there with you. Caressing your face and looking into your eyes, the man will soothe your nerves.

❥ Muichiro is your newfound reason to continue living. Without him, you would have been gone. Your lover taught you that having Marechi blood isn't a curse. It's just that the people around you before were ignorant. He'll always tell you how special you are. And yes, he never fails to make you feel that way.

Well, what if that's applicable to other TSC characters as well? Specifically the ones coming up in TWP?

Because, for starters, Ty has gray eyes: as in Gray for knowledge best untold. And we all know how smart Ty is, and how much he wants to learn. He's a freaking Centurion for the Scholomance by the time TWP rolls around!

Secondly, Kit has blue eyes, as in, Blue banners when the lost return. Because Kit is a loss to the Blackthorns, especially to Ty. And because in TWP, Kit comes back, the lost returns. And he has blue eyes? Coincidence, I think not.

Now Dru is a bit complicated, because her eyes are blue-green, so she can mend broken hearts, and she is someone who is lost herself. But it makes sense if we think about her and Ash together. Ash has green eyes; Green will mend our broken hearts, and as we all know, Dru suffers from trauma that she talks about with no one. She's going to basically be the one hot badass goth girl with closeted PTSD trope girl, and Ash is going to put her back together. It can also be seen as a nod to Dru ending up with Ash, and her eyes, being a mix of blue and green, could represent an initial confusion over her affections, what with the JaimexDruxAsh love triangle we all know is coming.

Disney and Tim Burton: I’m definitely a Disney girl! I love all Disney Princess movies, both animated and live action. My top three not in any particular order would have to be Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and Princess and the Frog. For Tim Burton, my favorites are the classics, The nightmare before Christmas and Corpse bride. 

Books: I’m also a huge book girly! My favorite genre has to be fantasy/sci-fi. My favorite book series is The Lunar Chronicles, I definitely recommend it!

Adam is still the first man and Lucifer is still the first fallen angel, in fact he fell with Lilith yet again. But it’s a little different.

You see, Lucifer was a troublemaker but harmless angel who was known for his closeness to the first humans like his brother.

He thought he had everything…

Until he lost it all.

He didn’t even remember how it happened. He just could recall him and Michael bringing a tasy liquid to their favorite humans, then drinking it with them. Then the rest was black until he woke up in the garden of Eden, completely naked and with a weird feeling. Both of his friends and Michael weren’t around.

So he flew back to Heaven and pretended like it never happened until…

He realized that the weird feeling he had was pregnancy. And he couldn’t hide anymore.

The others asked him what the hell happened, and he told them about the day he didn’t quite remember and how he felt that way since then.

Heaven checked the child’s DNA and it was a humans. It was forbidden for an angel to mate with a human, and it was forbidden for humans to drink alcohol, the liquid Michael and Lucifer brought them.

Then, elders decided to punish both Michael and Lucifer, and the human that slept with Lucifer. They began searching for who it was, but it was cut short when the first woman, Lilith ‘came clean’ and said it was her. Why bother more searching when one was claiming it.

They were all going to fall to hell, but there was one question still remaining.

The child.

Angels said it would be easy and simple to just kill her, but Lucifer begged them not to. He didn’t wanted an innocent kid to be hurt just cause he was a dumbass.

Then Heaven said that they changed their mind and thwy won’t. But as a result of his disobedience, he would never be able to see his daughter ever again.

She would be raised by Heaven, and wouldn’t even know who her parents were until they decided to tell her.

Lucifer, feeling too sad, accepted this.

Adam’s new bride bit from the apple of knowledge herself. Then it resulted into getting them both cast to Earth.

They both went to Heaven when they died. And they were in love when they did, but it died down when Adam realized that Eve had became a selfish, arrogant and jealous person.

Years and years later, an overpopulation problem was visible in Hell. Heaven decided to hold a yearly extermination and even though he was heavily against it, Adam ended up as one of their two leaders, the other being Eve.

But, during the third one, Adam stumbled to his son, Cain, and he just couldn’t kill him. So he let him escape…

Which resulted into Charlie, now a bloodthirsty, cold hearted, demon hating soldier of Heaven, to stab him with a ‘sinful’ blade -Which is something that makes you a sinner from a winner basically- from the back and his ex wife, Eve to take his halo. They left him bleed to death, his soul was going to be bond to Hell once he did anyway.

However, Lucifer found him on streets, recognized Adam, and brought him to his hotel to heal him.

The King’s Heart

A little fic based on my comic.

Be warned there are Black Myth Wukong spoilers ahead!

Also the Destined One is kind of a mouthful so he’ll be referred to as Myth in this fic.

After finding himself in the Lego Monkie Kid universe, Myth had spent his time aimlessly wandering Flower Fruit Mountain.

His head pounded as he explored his new surroundings.

Everything was so much different from the world he once knew.

His body had become blocky and less detailed.

The colors around him were brighter and shiner.

Even the monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain were different, as they all seemed to be smaller and cuter.

If Myth didn’t know any better, he would’ve thought he was dreaming.

But his throbbing head was a reminder that he was very much awake.

After what felt like hours of wandering, Myth soon noticed something or rather someone in the distance.

The moment he got a closer look, his jaw dropped.

There, sitting against a tree, was none other than Stella.

She peacefully scribbled into her journal, blissfully unaware of the eyes watching her.

Myth felt his heart flutter in his chest.

She was beautiful yet…why did she look so…familiar?

It was then it dawned on him:

That beautiful maiden was the reincarnation of Sun Wukong’s lost bride, Lotus Maiden.

No wonder Myth couldn’t take his eyes off her!

She was the king’s heart, a crucial piece in the puzzle of his mission.

Myth wanted to approach her but his legs kept him frozen where he stood.

All he could do was gaze upon Stella until his courage returned.

However, Myth‘a thoughts were quickly interrupted by someone loudly clearing their throat.

Myth jumped a bit and gasped.

He came face to face with the Sun Wukong of this universe.

Myth could practically feel the sheer power of his aura radiating from his ginger fur.

Despite this, Myth showed no fear.

He puffed out his chest and assumed a battle stance.

He didn't want to fight Wukong but he could sense he did not appreciate having a strange monkey in his territory.

“Can I help you?” Wukong huffed as he eyed Myth suspiciously.

The aura radiating off of Myth was just as powerful as his.

The last thing Wukong needed was another powerful demon causing trouble.

He and his friends had been through more than enough drama!

Myth said nothing but his face softened just a bit.

Almost as if to say “I mean you no harm but I won’t hesitate to defend myself.”

Wukong’s face softened as well.

“Not much of a talker eh?”

Myth simply shook his head.

With a blink of his eyes, Wukong activated his gold vision and blinked in shock.

“Woah! You have the same aura as me! That can only mean…”

Wukong gasped as the realization hit him like a sack of bricks.

“You’re my reincarnation… But how’s that even possible?! I’m immortal! Unless… You’re not from this world are you?”

Myth shook his head once more, now a little less tense.

“Ok well that explains all the staring. You must be like really confused,” Wukong chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head.

Myth nodded and gave a look that said:

“You have no idea,”

“Alright. Well we better get you back home then. Do you remember where you started?” Wukong asked gently.

Just as Myth was about to respond, a perky voice called out-

“Hey Wuwu! Uh, who’s this?”

Both monkeys turned around to a very confused Stella.

Myth felt his face heat up as it glowed brighter than Wukong’s cape.

Even her voice was enough to fill his stomach with butterflies.

“Uhh, you ok, bud?”

The sound of Wukong’s concerned voice woke Myth from his trance.

Myth shook away his infatuation, cleared his throat, and nodded.

“Ohh-Kay, I’ll take that as a yes.” Wukong turned to Stella, “Ok so try not to freak out but I think this guy might be a reincarnation of me but from like another world.”

Stella’s eyes lit up as she let out a squeal of joy.

“This is amazing! I always knew multiverse theory was real! Yes!!” Stella’s face fell, “wait.. Reincarnation? Then that means that his world’s Wukong is…���

Wukong hung his head

“Yeah… I’m trying not to think too hard about that.”

“Well every world is different! Maybe his world’s Wukong wasn’t immortal?” Stella suggested.

Myth shook his head.

“No? Then how do you- Ooh! I get it! You’re your Wukong’s successor!” Stella chirped with a grin.

Myth shook his wrist in a “kind of” motion.

“Uh, you’re not making a lot of sense, bud.” Wukong noted.

Myth let out a sigh as his shoulders sagged.

Suddenly he noticed a stick on the ground and was struck with an idea.

He picked up the stick and immediately began to draw in the dirt.

Within what felt like a minute, Myth had sketched out a crude drawing that told his story.

“Ah! Now I get it! Your Wukong gave up his immortality and you were chosen to take his place!” Stella chirped as she inspected the drawing.

Myth nodded excitedly.

“Well, you’ve definitely got some big shoes to fill, bud. But I believe in you.” Wukong mused as he looked over Stella’s shoulder.

Myth held up a paw as if to say “wait!”

“Oh? There’s more?” Asked Stella.

Myth begun to sketch out a crude drawing depicting The Lotus Maiden and his world’s Wukong.

“Ooh she looks pretty. Was she your Wukong’s wife?” Stella asked curiously.

Myth nodded excitedly and kept drawing.

Wukong let out a hum as his eyes narrowed.

Despite the crude art style, Wukong couldn’t help but notice something oddly familiar about The Lotus Maiden.

It was then Myth drew a line from the maiden to Stella.

Stella tilted her head in confusion and Wukong scratched his head as they both stared at the line.

Then it clicked.

“Oh!”

“Oh!”
