Despite his promise of a surprise night where he showed up in something finer than his worn jeans and tight-fitted button up, that night wasn't it. He'd pulled too many overnights at the shop, trying his hardest to finish up on a big piece in a timely manner while giving the client his best. To say that he was beyond stressed was an understatement. After a couple of rounds and no hints of the woman in the back, he'd headed out for a smoke. The cool breeze welcomed him as he carefully lit his cigarette, even if that same breeze dared to make it an impossible task. He'd barely even exhaled before dark hues settled on the familiar face he'd been looking for all night. "Would you look at that. Right on time. I didn't think you were showing up tonight. I was just about ready to call it quits."

location — saturday night, charity dunk
character — @camxle
"So, what's it going to take to get you in there? I'll pay good money. Hell, I'll even offer to miss the first few throws. Name your price and I'll pay up," he teased as he smiled down at the other. He'd considered volunteering himself. Odds were, he'd make good money for the amount of people that would be eager to dunk him. "If it means I'll get you up there, I'll do it too. It's for a good cause, right?"

Yao wasn’t sure what he was hoping for, setting foot in the busy nightclub that night and perching himself at the bar. He wanted to believe that he was healed and over Verda, but the truth was that he still didn’t understand what had gone wrong with them. He wasn’t hopeless enough to think that they’d try again, but sometimes he wanted to reach out to her and ultimately, he’d stop himself. He’d started to type a message to her several times, only to delete it. He sighed and grabbed his third glass of water, feeling a bit pathetic. It didn’t help that the club was decked out for the upcoming holiday, reminding him of the love he’d had and lost.

It was another location crossed off his Providence checklist, the jazz club a few of his fellow kitchen staff had boasted about once or twice since he had arrived. After a couple of weeks where he was busy, either settling in or just lacking the energy to be out later than necessary, he had finally relented and agreed to join them. The ambience was welcoming, and he watched the musicians on stage with the attention they deserved, letting himself relax into the calming space. When they took a break, only then did the chef let his eyes roam around the space, which was where he spotted a familiar face. "Cam?" He asked aloud, a bewildered smile on his face. He wondered if she would even remember him, the Vegas scene being a foggy memory that caused a sick, regretful feeling in his stomach when he thought about it to hard.

Coming alone had it’s perks, but it had just as many cons when it came to arrogant men who thought they could pull anyone from the room. She’d listened to a few lame lines before shutting him down, but her amusement grew tenfold when he turned his attention to the woman at her side. He dropped another line and when he didn’t get the reaction he wanted, he huffed and walked away. “Can you believe that guy? I think he googled worst pickup lines of the 2000′s before coming in here tonight. I feel sorry for the first person it actually works on.”

“I can’t believe the holidays are over.” It was all gone in a blink of an eye, and Maya wasn’t sure how to feel about it. She had a good time, but at the same time she wished the festivities could last a little bit longer, so she wouldn’t have to return back to work. “I have one more week to be fully irresponsible before trying the whole adulting again.” the brunette joked, looking over at Cam. “Did you enjoy the holidays? Maya asked, reaching for her cup of tea, blowing at the hot drink before having a small sip.

He was a big guy, but after several safety demonstrations and a step into the plane, he felt tiny. The hum of the front propellers left his heart buzzing and the feather lightness that consumed him during takeoff had kept him silent until Cam spoke up and caught his attention. "Uh, yeah. Sure we'll go with that," he countered with a nervous hum of laughter that was barely audible over the noises of the plane. "You're jumping first, right?"
-time jump-
Cam peered out the small airplane window, looking over the rolling mountain tops as they flew over Providence. Her heart was pounding in her chest, racing with anticipation for that moment when she would be falling through the air. She glanced over at Atlas with a beaming grin. "It's almost time!" Cam reached across her seat to give his arm a reassuring squeeze. "You're going to be just fine, I promise. I bet you end up liking it and want to go again."

"Excuse me, miss. I don't suppose you can point me to the owner of this fine establish?" Danny stepped into Cam's path, looking down at her with a teasing smile. He'd been hoping to run into her tonight, feeling it had been way too long since he'd paid the club a visit. "She's about yea high, lots of tattoos, incredibly beautiful with terrible taste in music. She's a very busy woman though, so you might've just seen her in the form of a blur shooting by."

“Hey,” the blonde spoke with a smile when the owner of the nightclub came into sight, holding out her hand in greeting. It was about time she met the legendary owner of not one, but two popular places in Providence Peak. As long as their name wasn’t Nathan Crane, she felt like it was a good idea to be friendly with the neighboring local businesses, never sure when one would need to have the other’s back. “I’m Sage, I own The Jagged Yard a few streets down. I felt like it was about time for me to make my way over here and introduce myself. This place is all I ever hear people talk about, it’s kind of amazing?”

"Slow night, huh?" It wasn't all that slow, but the bar wasn't crowded and he'd managed to find a seat without having to elbow anyone. So, by comparison to what he'd witnessed before, maybe it was a little slower than usual. "Did you ever figure out who did that to your walls?" Clearly she hadn't and if she had, then she either had the wrong person in mind, or just hadn't mentioned it to him yet. "So, do you ever sit on this side of the bar, or are you always on that side?"

Location: Chapman and Sons Office
Characters: Elliot Chapman & Cam Le ( @camxle )
CLOSED STARTER
Glancing at the clock on the wall, Elliot realized that it was time for the next client to show up for their appointment. It was a hectic week for him, with a big case starting at the end of the week and so much to prepare before then. But he still had to slot in some other clients, hoping that it would be more straightforward things that wouldn’t distract him too much. The phone in his office rang, alerting him that the client was there, and he instructed the receptionist to send them up. “Come in,” he said as the knock on the office door announced their arrival, immediately standing up and reaching his hand out for a handshake. “Ms Cam Le, right? Pleasure to meet you. I’m Elliot Chapman. Please, have a seat.”

Yao was mentally marking off the days until his year of sobriety had been achieved. He wasn’t counting down to be able to drink or partake in illegal substances of any kind, but instead until the moment that he could be fully intimate with Verda. She was an extraordinarily attractive woman and his desire to express his interest in her had only grown tenfold since they’d finally kissed. He didn’t want to rush into sex, but he also wanted to be prepared for the day when it would finally be a possibility between them. So, he’d come to Condom Sense to take a look around. He stopped to inspect a colorful package, nearly dropping it when it began to vibrate in his hands. “Oh. Wow. Okay.”

character: Cam Le @camxle
location: Lucky Joe’s; Claret Park
Even though Rachel had been here for six months now, she was still finding new places to meet up. Ever since her interview with Cam, she’d been keeping in touch with her every so often to see how she and the club were doing. Rachel still had an interest in going to the club, it seemed like a spectacle she’d enjoy. Her rule was really only to go out once a month though, and Charlie was more into the seedy bar vibe so they tended to go there instead. But for now she could do with the meeting the other woman for some bagels. “Hey!” She exclaimed when she saw Cam walk through the door. “This place smells divine. Is it weird to wish they made Everything bagel candles?”

the cause of her embarrassment was no longer resting calmly at her yard. in fact, maya had been looking for her dog for the past ten minutes, only to realise the four legged rascal was gone again. benji’s newest obsession was hiding somewhere in their neighbour's back yard, and to this day the brunette couldn’t find how her dog would manage to sneak in there as easily. her face was turning crimson with embarrassment while maya made her way to the front porch and reached at the door to ring the bell.

"I'm glad you like it. It was easy to work with." He could run with the smallest of ideas and make them something big, but Cam's piece had been big from the start. It helped that their deep conversation that night in her theater had left him feeling incredibly inspired. A brow popped upwards as her arms curled around him, but he didn't hesitate to hug her back. Friends, right? Friends could hug. "I can't wait to put it on you. That's the fun part." Sure, sketching was creative and it was exciting to see the first official look, but nothing compared to actually inking the piece. "Leaving town for a little bit and not even taking me with you? That's just cruel, but sure. We can set an appointment for whenever. Are you wanting to break it up into two sessions, or you thinking you'll be good with one?"
"I love it, Max. Honestly, it's perfect. There isn't anything I want to change about it." Cam glanced down at the artwork again, taking in every little detail of the piece he had done. Max was a gifted artist and she would be more than willing to showcase his work on her body. She placed the sketchbook back on his desk and walked over to embrace the tattooed male in a quick hug. "Thank you, I can't wait to get it." It felt safer to keep their physical contact brief with the bits of lingering tension still hanging in the air around them. "I never had a doubt." Cam winked, taking a step or two away from Max. "I'm going on vacation in a few days and I'll be gone for over a week, so would it be cool if I book the appointment for when I get back?"
