Do you have any headcanons for the birthdays of Tangled and TTS characters?

I headcanon that Rapunzel's is June 21st, because the summer solstice can be from June 20th to June 22nd, so I put it on the date that's right in the middle of that. Why not have the sun princess have her birthday be on the day that has the most sunlight falling on the earth? Plus, "When Will My Life Begin (Reprise)" implies her birthday's in the summer: Just feel that summer breeze/ The way it's calling me

The only other two birthdays we see in the series are Eugene's and Arianna's, so they're the only other headcanons I have.

Since the series doesn’t show Corona experiencing extreme weather pattern changes for most of the year, it’s difficult to mentally account for when Eugene’s and Arianna’s birthdays might be as compared to Rapunzel's. 

However, for Eugene’s birthday, I headcanon he was born in spring, since his birthday is about six months from Arianna and Frederic’s anniversary (as stated in “Cassandra’s Revenge”), which took place in “Queen For a Day,” which seems to have taken place in winter, but could have been fall (it totally snows in the fall in lots of places). And since Eugene’s birthday is between the “almost a year” of “Destinies Collide” and Rapunzel’s 21st birthday (at the end of “Plus Est En Vous”), I headcanon it as being in the spring.

Arianna’s birthday (”The Way of the Willow”) takes place at a time when it’s warm enough to camp at night without taking extreme measures for being out at night, like coats. According to production order (as opposed to airing order), “The Way of the Willow” happens only three episodes before “Secret of the Sundrop” (which is Rapunzel’s 19th birthday). Since “The Quest for Varian” happens mere days before Rapunzel’s birthday, it’s safe to say that Arianna’s birthday is also in spring, but specifically late spring.

So I put Eugene’s birthday in April and Arianna’s in May. (Which would, in turn, put Arianna and Frederic’s anniversary in October.)

Oh, but I do headcanon that Lance neither knows nor cares when his birthday is. (But if Kiera and Catalina decided to assign him one, like Rapunzel did for Eugene, he'd be thrilled.)

Hot off the heels of purging Camp Camp off YouTube to push it being an RT EXCLUSIVE (among other shows), RT had recently categorised “With Friends Like These” as the 20th episode of Season Four.

I mean I already threw a fit trying to convey to people that this was supposed to be a one-off anniversary special, only for RT to announce that CC season five was on the way…and now VERY SUBTLY they consider the anniversary special as a Season 4 episode. Just funk everything and funk you.

Rooster Teeth has turned 20 years old and it seems to have gotten a 2nd wind when it comes to their animated shows as not only are we getting one final season of Red vs. Blue, but Camp Camp got a new episode recently and its been confirmed that more will be coming out in 2024.

I hope this means Rooster Teeth will make more RWBY Chibi episodes to celebrate the 20th anniversary. They could finally do an episode featuring Chibi Salem.

no bc why tf am i boohoo crying over the last (? it’s the 20th RT anniversary ep idk if it’s the actual last lol) episode of camp camp. even with all the weird and off sounding voice actors and my weird feelings surprising max’s weird kinda emotionless AI sounding voice, i literally started tearing up then started ugly full body crying in the last few minutes. i’ve always had a bad relationship with shows (especially cartoons with that perpetual summer thing going on) ending but oh my GOSH this one hurt me really really bad bro. i’ve been watching camp camp for so long and it’s brought me so much joy thru out my life and i cannot accept that it’s over i just i’m still crying why is this happening

The Bangtan Gal Chapter 28- American Hustle Life Episode 8

Chapter Summary: Spending their last moments in LA, BTS and Jen finally hold their concert.

After being woken up by Tony and Nate, with Jennie already awake and on the couch, BTS drag themselves out of bed, to sit on the couch, still sleepy.

"BTS! Make the best of the best hip hop performance." They heard the projector announce.

"You got a hip hop performance comin' up." Nate mentioned.

"Your performance is in a really big theater, here in LA." Tony added. "You guys are in charge of doing pretty much everything. Just make sure it's a huge, big, dope show, man."

"Yeah, this show is your show."

"Ready for the show? Let's go!" Tony shouted as they all got ready.

'BTS! Being in a hip hop boot camp, you did various missions. Finally, today, you're going to show everything that you learned. You're going to show your LA fans yourselves how much you grew as an artist and what you learned while you were in hip hop boot camp. Pour out everything that you got! A concert that BTS themselves will prepare! Their LA first solo concert. I can look forward to it, right?'

After preparing, and making handouts to promote the concert, it was finally the day of their concert.

'The place where you guys are gonna perform is a place where the history and tradition lies. It's the stage where many famous worldwide artists stood on!'

After the rehearsals, Jen put on camo jeans with a black cropped hoodie, wearing a tank top under it.

"Yeah...I already know I'm gonna be sweating like crazy." She put her hair in a bun. "I'm excited~!"

As the venue filled up, they heard the loud cheers and chants of BTS. The eight members put their hands in the middle. "American Hustle Life." Rap Monster said. "Bangtan, Bangtan."

"Bang Bangtan!"

'Finally, their concert starts'

Arriving on stage, they performed Bulletproof first. It turned out to be a success, with the passionate, screaming fans, cheering them on, no matter what they did.

Badda bing badda boom

She put a finger over her ear, as she heard the crowd shout, "Jennie's here!"

I have no fear...so don't try to stop me

Hah!

Tellin' me your doubts...won't change my mind

You want me to party? I don't have time.

Putting the mic to the crowd, she heard them shout, "I've been busy workin'. I've been busy dancin'. I'm never prancin'. Just enhancing."

A bright grin was wide on her face as she nodded at their singing, she started to sing again,

I will preserve and you can't stop my flow

I'm in my own lane, I'm here to attain

I got people asking, Who's the girl?

The one with the curls, representing the girls

I'm the one with the swag and I don't mean to brag but I broke oppositions to get where I am

today!

After their first song, they happily greet the crowd. "What's up LA!" Rap Monster shouted

"Aye! How's everybody doin' today!?" Jen happily asked, earning screams in response.

"It's really an honor to be able to stand on this stage in front of this many people who came. Thank you." Suga thanked them.

"We met a lot of people. Who did we meet?" Rapmon turned to his members.

"Coolio!" V shouted.

"We also met Warren G," Jungkook mentioned with a smile.

"In celebration of Warren G's 20th anniversary of the day that he released regulate, we made our own version of regulate." Rap Monster explained. "We wrote the lyrics with our life stories and it was really fun."

Once performing their custom raps, Rap Monster mentioned that Jenny Kita helped them with their dancing as they performed their dance moves.

Before Jennie knew it, it was time for Team R&B to show off their talent as she stood with Jungkook, Suga and V. "For us, we met up with Iris Stevenson, to learn more about R&B."

"Yes, Iris Stevenson, who was the actual character from the movie, Sister Act 2, we learned the soulfulness from her," Suga replied as they pointed her out in the crowd.

Watching backstage, Jennie jammed out to their Oh Happy Day performance. "Ah, they're so good! Them high notes, though?" She beamed as the camera recorded her reaction.

Once it was her turn, she exhaled and headed up to the stage. Waving at the crowd as they cheered her on, she looked up to where Iris was smiling at her. Jen smiled back, making a heart with her hands, for her.

Hearing the piano play the opening notes, she started softly,

If I wrote a note to God...

I would speak what's in my soul

I'd ask for all the hate to be swept away

For love to overflow

Putting a hand over her heart, she continues,

As she continued to sing passionately and soulfully just as Iris directed her, the audience was moved and kept cheering her on.

Shouting, "I'd say" she received some whoops as she sang louder and stronger,

give us the strength to make it through

Help us find love 'cause love is overdue

And it looks like we haven't got a clue

Need some help from you

Grant us the faith to carry on

Give us hope when it seems all hope is gone

'Cause it seems like so much is going wrong

On this road we're on

We can't do it on our own!

So, so

Taking the mic off the stand, she yelled out a high "Oh", earning loud screams.

And it looks like we haven't got a clue

Need some help

We can't do it on our own!

So, so

Taking a deep breath, she successfully hits the high note 'If I wrote a note to God'

Meanwhile, Iris stood up and clapped for her, with a big smile on her face. Catching her breath, Jennie looked up and blew a kiss to Iris, with both of her hands.

After the concert was finished, their tutors all showed up backstage to greet them, congratulating them on their successful concert.

"Ah...so friggin emotional." Jennie had tears in her eyes as she fanned herself. "I had a blast, but this is just so emotional. Being here, right now."

"Jennie don't cry~!" She felt Jungkook's bare arms wrap around her from behind as he hugged her tightly.

"I'm trying, Kookie, I'm trying."

He let her go and gently wiped the remaining tears from her eyes.

"Jennie! Beautiful, absolutely beautiful." Iris brought her in for a big hug, kissing her cheek.

'Their last day for hip hop boot camp that they spent with their fans'

'Although they were here for a short time, they learned a lot through the time they were here'

'Now while carrying a special memory, it's time to leave once again'

'Last day'

'Now, the morning of your last day of your hip hop boot camp has risen, for the past 21 days, how will you guys remember the memories you made here, in LA?'

In the dorm, Jen was all packed up as a camera approached her. "Jennie, did you pack all your stuff? How do you feel?" The PD asked

"Yes, I have packed up. It's...bittersweet. I enjoyed the last 21 days, now we gotta go back to Korea. It was so nice being back in my country. I hope we come back soon."

"What did you like the most from your stay, here?"

"Helping the guys experience America to the fullest. I treated the guys to one of my favorite places to eat, so they could try out the food I like to eat. They're hooked!"

Sitting on the couch, Jen and the guys cheer that it's the day they go back to Korea.

"Did you guys have fun in LA?" Tony asked

"Very fun! Because of them, we learned a lot." Jimin answered

"I always thought that you guys were people who always played around a lot, but then you guys are supposed to be serious, you guys are serious. You guys would play around with us to give us a fun time. These sides made me think of you guys as my real brothers. It's very natural and really nice." Suga genuinely said. "From now on, whenever we come to America, we're always going to miss you."

"This was our first time living with our tutors and experiencing many things," J-Hope spoke. "Despite the fact that it was our first time, you guys approached us first and thank you so much for making memories for us that we will never forget."

With a grin, Jin said, "While we were in America, when it was hard, it was a tiring and difficult time, but we're really thankful to you for always being on our side to help us. I can't express how thankful I am. Because you guys helped us adapt to this place. You guys are really great hyungs."

"At first, I had a lot of thoughts that there would be prejudice. Because they were born here, they're in the biggest music industry, and they're true artists who dipped their feet in the pace where hip hop really started." Rapmon added. "I thought that there would be prejudice between us. But the moment we met, you guys treated us the same as any other. So from that, I was really impressed. It was an honor to have worked with you guys and I just want to say thank you."

With an eye smile, Jimin said to the tutors, "Because I'm very shy in front of strangers and we couldn't even communicate, I was very worried about how I would approach you guys. But because you approached me first and talked to me first it must've been actually harder on our tutors. But I think it was really nice because you guys always told us good things. I will never forget what you guys taught me, and I'll become cooler."

"I was very worried about whether I would be able to make friends. But right now, I think you guys are friends who I will forever have." V smiled. "I'm very, very thankful and I feel like I'm going to cry. Jennie beat me to it." He nudged her.

"I was trying to cry discretely." She wiped her tears and sniffed.

"Because you guys always took care of us well and always thought about us first." He continued. 

Jennie had a sad smile on her face as she turned to the tutors. "It's...it's going to be weird waking up in the morning now because we're so used to you coming in, yelling for us to wake up and dragging us out of bed. Haha. Thank you, for being so patient with us. And giving us words of wisdom. I hope we can all stay in touch. Maybe we'll show you around in Korea."

"That'll be dope." Nate nodded with Tony.

Jungkook mentioned, "I can't speak English but I'm thankful that you guys always talked to me in a way so I can understand. And I'm also thankful for teaching me many things. And I'm very thankful of you guys always waking me up every morning. I'm going to miss you guys, a lot."

"He's 16 years old. It doesn't drop off, like he's younger than the rest of them and to be that young and be that talented, I'm proud of him." Tony praised.

"Ah, thank you." He bowed.

"I really enjoyed myself with you guys for the last two weeks. I had a lot of good times, a lot of good memories. I learned a lot from you guys. Imma miss you guys and I consider you guys close to me forever." Tony smiled

"Well, I just wanna say, that you guys have inspired me like, 'Go as hard as I can.' You only get one life. So, you gotta like get the most out of every day. I learned that from you guys, so that's why I always say: You guys deserve to be #1." Nate said.

After their emotional talk, they all end up hugging each other. "Tony, can I have a hug?" Jennie asked with a smile.

Smiling, he opened his arms, inviting her. "Bring it in, girl."

"Yeah!" She ran up and wrapped her arms around him. Picking her up, he spun her around, making her laugh.

'The sadness of their time to say goodbye to one another is big. Promising one another to meet again one day'

"What has changed the most about you?" PD asked

"I believe I've become more confident in my singing. And it's motivating me to try to sing different styles. After performing at the concert, I believe I can do it." Jennie answered

'Now, it's time to go back to Korea'

Jennie grabbed her bags, taking it out of the room. "To Korea, we go!" She cheered, walking behind Rap Monster. Turning to the camera, she waved. "Bye! I'm not going to cry, I promise. I'll be back, America!"

'Hip hop boot camp has ended.'

'Their individual notebooks that are filled with the memories that they had here.'

The 20th anniversary camp camp episode made me cry and now I want to go back and rewatch it all and also re-read @microsuedemouse 's fanfic. One of the only fanfics that has ever caught me by the hackles and kept me engaged the whole time.

But my god the episode is just. Wow.

Can people not jump into the doom zone? We’re still getting part 2 of the crossover movie (with buff ass fucking Yang who also has a ponytail, which gives an idea of what her Vacuo new design could look like muscle-wise); RWBY has NOT been canceled instead we’re getting something post-v9 to tide everyone over; Camp camp a series that at most ones like me thought would get 1 20th anniversary episode is actually getting more; and RvB that has been dormant for probably close to a year or so is coming back for a final season to close that book (not just up-and-stopped). Its annoying but v10 isn’t a matter of if, but of when. While RTX would’ve been a great place to have it announced, its also not up to RT but CR and WBD; neither of which have a vested interest in accommodating for their convention. WBD in particular is probably not going to say anything much till part 2 of the JL crossover comes out to see those numbers, cause the numbers are what they want to see.

Hi, I'm the Random Explaining ANon. Rooster Teeth just had their 20th anniversary event this year and they released a special camp camp episode in July after a lot of fans begged for a return. They even recast some characters with POC actors, redesigned Dolph and announced Season 5 in their convention: RTX. However, RoosterTeeth doesn't make a ton of cash compared to some larger companies and animation is expensive to make. Thus, they made the decision to remove Camp Camp and RvB from YouTube in an effort to get people to watch these shows on the RoosterTeeth website instead. I can link you some sources if you'd like, but that's the gist of the situation.

I mean it IS Rooster Teeth’s 20th anniversary, it would only make sense, even more so if it airs on/around June 10th, as that’s the show’s 7th anniversary.

The Free Music Friday to beat them all is finally upon us.  Happy Netlabel Day, everybody!

Serious gratitude and respect going out to Creative Commons Community Music Awards co-founder Douglas Whitfield for getting in touch with me last month to have this conversation about CC licenses, netlabels, and so much more.  In part two of the interview, he talks about the CC Listening Parties that he co-hosts on YouTube alongside Donnie Ozone, an event that grew out of the artistic standstill caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.  In addition, he shares some ambitious plans for a CC Community Music Hall Of Fame slated to premiere in 2026.
