Evoked by a blue sky with clouds, a cherry blossom, a cuddly Labrador puppy toy, the chuckle of a stream... Somewhere along the line experiences dulled and things like colour lost their meaning. They would visit me again in dreams and in nature from time to time like spiritual experiences, like slipping across dimensions. I dreamed of Elysium, over the hills, I dreamed of my grandma’s house where secrets were hidden and pressed me to seek them. And out of a mirage, flamingos settled on the salt lake in Cyprus and fantasies became tangible, a promise that even the unreal is real. I can feel parts of myself being restored. I no longer mourn the innocent wonder of childhood. It has come back to me. It never left. Do one thing today that takes you back to a sweetness. One you thought lost. There may be pain there in the gilded box of memory. But take a sip from the bottle and allow yourself to slip back into a skin you once wore. You may find that when you surrender the pain of loss, that you can inhabit that bliss far more deeply than you ever did as a child. ☀️CALLING BACK THE LIGHT☀️ We all face times of darkness, times where the sun goes out and we are not sure that it will ever rise again. People tell you it’s temporary, that it will pass. Sometimes you believe them. Other times it is not so easy.☀️ ☀️ When you are far from friends and family, when things are not going quite as you expected them to go, it’s easy to lose faith in the path on which you are being led. Even just the darkness and cold of winter can send the spirit into a downward spiral. ☀️ ☀️ What if we realise that dark is just a necessary part of the cycle of life, that it has its own purpose, and we have the power to call on the Divine light within us and radiate from within? ☀️ ☀️ Solstice is a time of surrender to the longest night, and yet on it’s heels comes the new dawn of longer days and the seductive promise of summer. ☀️ ☀️ My workshop on 21st December 2-4:30pm at @thezensheduk is designed to harmonise us with the capacity to build up light within and honour the return of the sun that gives our planet life.
