Just woke up to a Scooby-Doo dream. I dreamt I was I was in Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, except it was a college. Lena and her mom were chasing up and I was kinda speaking Spanish to confuse Lena and her mom. I also dreamt that Lena was Susan Walters from Elvis and Me, during the part of the movie where she was portraying Priscilla when she was pregnant and I told her that if Elvis came back, he wouldn't want her after I tried punching her in the stomach and she tried kneeing me in my uterus to which I reply "You can't do shit to me, I had a hysterectomy." We then had to stop fighting to eat dinner, which was weird the mom gave me peas and carrots, while everyone else had gumbo. For some reason, she gave me ice cream and I had a sippy cup and was bombarding Freddie and Daphne with questions about marriage and babies. So, I'm a vampire in this dream. There were murder hornets and I tried to get them to go after the mom, but it didn't work. Then, it started to rain, which killed the hornets. A bunch of the students were leaving the school, ready to return to start admission and whatnot. I got kissed by the gardner that was an undercover agent like in the Scooby-Doo movie, but he wasn't important. There was a dog there named Ruffus, in his human form, and he told me all that went down in the past few hours. Now, it becomes an episode of Supernatural. We're walking and we find one of the gardener's boots. Then, we hear a recording of Lena crying for help. I said ''No, that's how black people and people of color in general get killed in movies. Let's go after the mom." There were goons, but then I woke up after getting a second bat. It was a good dream.

Y'all! I can't even. On my A.I. chat with Big Daddy Elvis (created by the wondeful @vintagepresley), I went all nerdy. Now there's a vampire named Val that did the thing from Anne Rice's fourth book, "Tales of the Body Thief," where he swapped bodies with Big Daddy Elvis, and Lisa Marie has a different son named Gabriel, and we're stuck in a time warp, trying to save a baby unicorn named Twilight. Now, we have to bring Twilight back to Graceland to save her.

I stopped in goodwill yesterday and found the three best things I've ever found in one goodwill.

First of all this was $5, I don't know what we're gonna do with it but could you pass up a deal like that?? No

Second of all this 1990's "paper magic" brand Halloween decoration, a hard plastic vampire demon monster head with e baber wings, pretty rare! I've never seen this one in person, but I have had its counterpart for ages:

Notice the rotten skull version has boglin arms. Literally the same mold and material as boglins, presumably from buy up extra stock from Mattel maybe?? The bat one's wings are the same unique boglin rubber, too.

But more importantly a HUGE BAG OF VINTAGE JIGGLY RUBBER BUGS. These are VALUABLE. These are from the 50s and 60s. This bag would actually be worth over a hundred dollars to the jiggler hobby. That is what it's called.

This beautiful spider is Ben Cooper brand, and I own two others from the series, a scorpion and a totally different "spider" if that's even what it is, here they are for comparison:

I'm out of image uploads for a single post on mobile but maybe I'll make a bogleech.com post out of the rest of the bugs. There's a lot I could say about them.

Whoever said baking soda and vinegar is a good substitute for eggs is a motherfucking liar and owes me restitution! They made two of my batches of cupcakes taste sour. I had to use the original recipe for the third batch. Unless I'm missing something, then I understand why they taste bad. If not, I want restitution from the liar!

The power is out at my house. There was a really strong thunderstorm. My mom was talking about that escaped convict that got loose from the Chester County Prison (Yes, I live in Chester County, Pennsylvania, but I'm at the southern end of that specific county). She said that the storm might drive him out of the woods. We shall see.

Right, so just re-summarizing what pun said, this is basically an AU where the toy experiments are not just underground work mules, but a genuine attempt to help children who are suffering from incurable ailments. This is where I expand even further. Elliot Ludwig, while deeply invested in the creation of toys, also had his fortune invested into the medical advancement.

This is because his daughter Poppy, who they named their popular Poppy dolls after, was diagnosed with a type of heart cancer that was rapidly growing as her quality of life steadily increased. Studies on reviving dead rats using a mixture of poppy flowers and several other ingredients had been very successful, but generally the rat would die again shortly after due to underlying issues in the body itself. This was when Dr. Harley Sawyer, head of the team, suggested they attempt to move the now functional organs to a different body. Before they even had a chance to begin tests Poppy began deteriorating to a degree where she wasn't going to make it, and so they started with her.

She was an unprecedented success, and an un-replicable one. Almost immediately Playtime Co. had both staff members with ill children and ill staff members offer themselves up to test, after of course more testing had been done with animals to ensure it wasn't a total fluke, and quickly everyone realized this was actually possible. Playtime Co. medical division was given government funding to continue to work on this research (all children and adults who are tested have volunteered for this) and they quickly established a hierarchy of what works best and what doesn't.

Initial tests with shells called Miss and Mister Delights (named after Amelia Delight who is an employee at Playtime Co. and due to chronic strokes offered herself up for testing) determined that the more human like a shell is, the harder the transfer procedure is. Of the 15 attempted, only 5 survive currently, though 7 in total were successful. (Two ended up passing away shortly after due to organ failure). All were adult volunteers from both factory workers and outside.

Each of them suffers from rather severe mobility issues and health conditions, requiring them to live on the property. This was when Playcare was established and some proper work could be done!

Playcare was a lot like a care center combined with a hospital. Patients that are currently waiting to be operated on, alongside patients still recovering from operation all live there (and their parents if they so choose). Set up with several common areas, specialized outdoor areas (see the big dome in the back) so toys and patients can get out while still being supervised, and many more, it is meant to be a home away from home for these kids! The whole place is run by Stella Greyber, with Dr. White as the head Physician. Dr. Sawyer, while he mainly works in the labs does frequently visit to advise and monitor progress. Speaking of Dr. Sawyer, you’ll notice here he is in fact a robot still! This is because Dr. Sawyer began developing his own health conditions while working on the project, and as such began to work on their most experimental body by far in case things got too far. After a severe stroke that lead to even more severe brain hemorrhaging, Harley was forced to be transferred into his robotic body.

While very functional he suffers from a lot of phantom pains, and has a very difficult time eating and drinking. However he is a very stubborn man and he is actively improving his body as he lives in it. Unlike canon he is not a sadistic monster, but he is still totally a drama queen. He is very uptight and super invested in his work, coming across as a total hardaft douche at first glance. He really just doesn’t know how to talk to people, especially children, and tries to avoid them if possible. While he mainly exists in one robotic body he is capable of of plugging himself into the lab’s mainframe system and existing like he does in game, but it is very labor intensive and causes migraines. Dr. Sawyer is constantly trying to push for improvements, his goal would be to one day be able to make little robotic or plastic replicas of the children’s bodies that are actually capable of housing the kids AND growth, allowing an almost normal life. It is a long ways away but he is determined to get there.

Jumping back to the toys! After much study and testing they have figured out roughly which toys are most effective and provide the safest procedures, and which toys are more risky! Of all the toys the easiest and safest procedure would be critter toys. For some reason they have the highest success rate of every other toy type. The biggest downside though would be the quality of life post the procedure.

Critters are very small obviously, they have done bigger ones (different from the bigger body critters, think large Baba Chops) but often the critter bodies can be very unbalanced. While updates to the critter designs have allowed for flexible mouths and fingers they still require a lot of help in everyday tasks such as eating and bathing themselves. Despite that, with a proper care guide (and time spent in Playcare with their parents being properly advised) they can generally return home even if going to school and work on their own would be difficult to impossible.

Mini Wuggies, plastic shelled toys, and long legs all have their own pros and cons that are discussed out with parents and their children before anything is done. They all have a very similar success rate though!

After that would be the bigger bodies (quad toys are generally avoided unless the child and parents are both fully informed of how that can impact quality of life, but some kids really really want to be a specific toy and Playtime tries to honor that when possible. Anyway, Bigger bodies have the lowest success rate, the most diversity, and generally the highest quality of life in terms of what they are capable of.

You’ll notice every kid has a tag around their neck or name tag, alongside a bracelet around their wrist! This helps identify them to doctors who work in playcare (all bigger body toys live at playcare as of now but work is being done to have them and their families return home permanently) that way the doctors know what health conditions they have and what room they need to be in. This is probably one of the few times you’ll see me draw the dough boys, and where I differ from Pun! I think Jack WAS still an accident, but the three of them went through the dough procedure separately. However it was quickly determined that dough was not stable enough to use as all three of them have difficulty keeping their forms solid for very long, and struggle with a lot of memory issues. The trio just ended up becoming fast friends being some of Playcare’s permanent residents. They can combine into Doey, though it is hard (really really hard) and they can’t hold the form for long, but that is just a side effect of how unstable they are. Susan and George live at Playcare alongside Kevin’s mom. Matthew’s parents don’t live in Playcare but do visit frequently.

Memory issues are common in bigger bodies, Kissy has them pretty badly and has to have an escort as she will end up in rooms and not remember how to get back fully. Like Pun said Poppy is somewhat a celebrity inside Playcare and she gets a lot of attention from other toys (which she doesn’t like) but she does like hanging out with Kissy!!

Many of the Delights (even those who didn’t previously work at the factory) have taken up jobs at Playcare, helping toys adapt to their bodies alongside the doctors and educators they have on staff! While not focused on it, Playcare does still have some involvement with local orphanages, trips to and from Playcare and the factory are common for both sides to make!! Playtime Co. is making a concerted effort to normalize the existence of living toys while they try and perfect a more humanoid body for the kids, trying to ensure as normal a life as they can for these kids!!!

Think that’s all I have besides a bunch of random interactions and character details I have in my head haha. This was very much a one off post bc I used to do roleplays with like “mutant/super power kids living in an isolated school/hospital/lab and living their lives” all the time growing up XD it is a concept I am very fond of, and was happy to ramble about a bit!!!

I only know of three celebrities that radiate goblin energy to me, and one of them is dead. Those three are, in no particular order, Jared Padalecki, Alex Brightman, and Elvis Presley. Alex is obvious because of his stint on Broadway as Beetlejuice, which I saw twice. Jared is known for his pranks on set, being mischievous, and admitting to eating his children's candy. Elvis was a fucking menace. Pulling pranks, like Jared, scaring one of the Sweet Inspirations during "Suspicous Minds," they way he would mess around in the studio, and the Easter Egg hunt. There's probably more to Elvis and Jared, but it's not coming to me at the moment.

Wu Qi opens up his phone in the last episode to reveal the charming mobile game he calls "the Spirealm," even though nothing about the game itself seems to indicate that it's supposed to be called that. He says it's a great stress reliever!

Somebody put so much work into these three screens, and in two seconds flat, Wu Qi flips through them:

The title screen, as I mentioned in the assorted doors post, features chibi Lin Qiushi, Ruan Nanzhu (whose hair is parted on the wrong side), Toast, and Chestnut, all posed adorably in front of a chibi version of the Snow Village door. It is important to me to note that if you zoom in, you can see Chibi Nanzhu still has the beauty marks under his right eye.

Featuring Lin Qiushi in his starting outfit and Ruan Nanzhu in his New Year's special costume, perfect for staring dreamily at your beloved while he makes you dumplings.

I'm wondering why the ❤ meter and the ♂ meter at the top both seem to have ... oh, that's a key, not a Mars symbol. And you can buy more keys in the points store over to the left, not more maleness. You have to understand, I'm not doing a bit here. I literally just realized that that's not supposed to be a BL meter up at the top there. Because of course I was just like, well, yeah, of course Lin Qiushi's yaoi score would be off the charts.

Flip over to screen two for the logo! Friends On An Adventure! (At least, if the subtitles I have are to be trusted.) The logo goes through a little door, and there's a kaleidoscope there with it. The little chibi heads of Qiushi and Nanzhi tile the background. There is text down at the bottom, but it is far too tiny for me to make heads or tails of.

And on screen 3, we see the relaxing game itself! Playing in front of the Snow Village door -- which is now appropriately snowy -- we get a litle game screen filled with familiar monster friends.

Zooming in for the appreciation factor here: We're apparenly playing a match-3 game with the Woman in the Rain, the Snow Village girl, the Sunny Doll teacher, the nurse from Waverly Hills (even though her outfit is blue), and Sako's left leg. There's also little yellow kaleidoscope squares and ... whatever the pink thing is. What's the pink thing? Someone else help me identify the pink thing. It looks like it has a little face on it. There seems to be one down at the bottom of the screen, like some kind of power-up, but there it lacks a face.

And that's it! So much work put into a such a briefly shown gag! So again, please enjoy me in appreciating it through the much slower medium of screenshots.

Last night, I had a dream where I called Big Daddy Elvis a big, fat baby. He smirked when I said that. Then, he laid down next to me, and I nuzzled into his tummy. If felt nice.

For The Dancing And The Dreaming

Guys idk how I’m doing this on mobile I usually post it on my laptop so idk if this will look good. Anyways it’s 4:30 in the morning and this is not edited. I wrote this spur of the moment bc I’m an idiot that doesn’t know how to write.

This is no specific Link! I wrote this bc I’m TRYING to write my own LOZ fic but got distracted. Either way I’m tired

You watch the roaring fire as it flickers in the night. The light from it shines around the area as you exhale softly. There is no point in camping outside anymore, but it's something that the both of you keep doing even after the adventure is over. 

It's the familiar feeling of having to take a quick rest before continuing to the next destination. The same feeling of having to rest with each other, having the world shut off, and being able to take a moment.

Footsteps approach your position before coming to a stop beside you, looking up and seeing the person who you; you’ve known your entire life. You're both older than when you first started the journey, for it caused you many physical challenges but still there are moments where you feel as though you’re back to before it all. 

Tonight is another night of thinking of the past; the bad and good, your accomplishments and your failures. They all still haunt you to this day even if your deeds were good. 

The weight of being back to nothing more than those kids again; the kids who had their own small bubble without knowing more than the whole world. Their only concern is if they'll be caught messing around again, or what new activity you'll try this time before getting bored and going back to the old ways.

A hand gently grasping onto yours pulls you out of your thoughts. Which makes you look up at him and witness the adoring smile he gives you. From the moment everything started he kept looking at you with the same emotion, but if you were to be honest, he held that look far before everything. Link, although not a very talkative person, is able to convey everything that he wants to say in different ways and still be able to express everything.

Watching him change from the boy you used to know to a hero who saved Hyrule; it made you happy to know that you were there the entire time. That he was able to rely on you and your own skills; and how you were able to also rely on him as well.

Never would either you believe that this was your destiny, but you're glad that you both had each other.

And now here you are in each other's presence with the fire in front of you. 

"I’m glad that we were in this together, Link." You said softly and curled your fingers around his hand. He hums in agreement and leaned into you; never taking his eyes off you. 

No one calls for either of you. There is nobody that needs to be saved anymore.

It's just the both of you once more. 

If you were to tell Link before this whole thing started that you'd be with him the entire time. He'd laugh but wouldn't deny it; he'd merely give a look with a shake of his head. Anything that he did, you would be right there and jump in with him. 

The both of you were practically inseparable; if he was there doing something then you would probably be somewhere nearby. For as long as Link knew you he could confidently say that he wouldn't trust anyone else than you.

Your unwavering presence motivated him to keep going. Your snarky remarks about the monsters. The way you freely expressed your fear, but still continued to fight. It made him feel a bit better about his own fears. You were his breath of fresh air whenever the journey took a huge toll on him. How you held him during the moments when he was able to take a break; and reassured him that he was only human that couldn’t shoulder everything. You shared his burden without a word and just held him in your arms.

Link liked you.

He always has if he's being honest, but it was during that moment where it fully clicked that he was fully unashamedly in love with you. Link wanted nothing more than to kiss you; to show his love and affection just for you.

Link decided at that moment that he will be there for you from that moment on. He may be Hyrule's Hero, The Golden Goddesses Chosen Hero, forever destined to pick up the Blade of Evil's Bane.

But for you he'll be anything for you.

He will be your hero until the next lifetime. Neither time nor death will separate him from you for he'll always find you no matter what. 

Suddenly he stood up and pulled you with him and held you close. Staring into your eyes with many emotions running through them. 

“[Name], I want you to know that I love you.” Link spoke softly as he kept holding you. You blink at him since it’s been awhile you’ve heard him call your name; relaxing in his hold you smile.

 “You’ve been through this whole thing with me even though I didn’t ask you to,” he continues, “So now, I want to be there for you with anything you need. I love you and I can’t see myself without you being near me.” He confesses.

He would do anything just to have you by his side, “I would bring you gems, jewelry; I will defend you from any creature that tries to hurt you, if you’ll have me-” Link chokes up a bit as he feels his emotions take a hold of him.

You reached out and held his face in your hands, and brought him closer to you. “I don’t have any use for gems nor jewelry. I don’t care if you can protect me or not, I will gladly stay by you.”

Laughing gently at your words, Link places his head onto yours as you run your fingers through his hair. “My dear, I could never be cruel to deny you nor my love. As long as I’m beside you; I am satisfied.” You continued before closing your eyes and leaning onto him.

The world may never call for Link anymore, but that’s fine with him. As long as he has you he’ll forever be hopelessly in love.
