What do you think is the one thing adachi hates the most about the protagonist?
I mean, it’s quite clearly shown (even moreso in Golden and installments after that) that Adachi’s really frustrated with bancho with how he sees each other as one and the same, yet so different at the same time. Well, how they ended up differently despite working on similar foundation.
more under cut bcoz guess who wrote an analysis !!! and the suggestion box is still open feel free to add more complaints and asks and call up our landline for nonsense i will gratefully listen to
Let me get this straight, Adachi would not have hated bancho or cared at all about him if not for how they’re associated with one another. For bancho, it kind of sucks that someone is one sidedly beefing so hard with you, for the sole reason you ended up in a better place compared to that one guy. Adachi’s hatred and frustrations were all a matter of coincidence, which makes you feel bad for bancho when he does get this treatment from Adachi (albeit Adachi’s reasonable enough not to say it out loud, but his inner monologue teems with a sort of envy for this poor boy, and how it slips out in his actions and tone sometimes in a passive aggressive manner.)
Despite all that, Adachi still cares about bancho as a senior of sorts; a man who’s older. Bringing back the idea that he thinks of bancho as a different reflection of himself, Adachi just wants to set bancho on the right path, even if it means making Adachi himself look bad.

Adachi’s just been projecting on bancho the whole time. When we take the manga’s bancho, Souji, we can see more clearly how Souji was also much more similar to Adachi in some ways.
Souji distanced himself from others. This doesn’t stem from any digust from other people, but rather, he does it in consideration of the other party. He’s going to transfer out of schools soon, and he’s had experiences of disappointing people he made friends with because their bond couldn’t mature. Thus, Souji has grown an antisocial behavior to keep people at bay, at the expense of his own growth and happiness he could’ve had if he stayed with these people.

Adachi can see Souji’s growth from the fact they “grew up together”, in a sense. They both started living in Inaba at the same period of time, are associated with the same handful of people, and started off at the start of the same path (in a way).
Adachi’s older, clearly, so his beliefs and instincts have been honed and cemented in place, compared to someone as young as Souji.
Speaking of coincidences, Sdachi’s just sick of the same people’s treatment towards Souji compared to himself as time went on. Dojima might see Adachi as an incompetent subordinate, but still takes good care of and praises Souji. Nanako could’ve trusted Adachi more as a secondary responsible adult figure next to her dad, but she clings onto Souji more as he comes around.

Adachi was so lonely and dwelled on the more negative things in his life, rather than taking the time to think about how nice it is without the pessimism or even backhanded compliments he makes about Inaba. He doesn’t see or remember how Dojima also does care about him and praises him genuinely on the occassion, being clouded by all the yelling and hitting on the head. Adachi forgets Nanako was grateful for his help with her homework, and how he even does his best to cheer her up when looks down (especially when it’s his fault lol)

But with bancho, he’s just sick of him. He’s too busy putting a mirror frame inbetween them, self-projecting, and hating how well off bancho’s going on with his life.
“Why couldn’t that be me?” he could ask himself. He finds himself in twisted ecastacy in the accomplice ending, for the reason that he’s crashing down with bancho himself. Adachi can now see the boy rot the same way he did, and things will be as they’re supposed to be: They’re one and the same, after all.
All these things happening to bancho was because of his efforts to open himself up to people, and remember that he’s loved and does his best to reciprocate.
It’s unfortunate for Adachi because hes a whole decade older than bancho and we only see him getting a similar treatment, a chance to foster bonds and friendships, so much later. He can’t adapt to it as quickly as bancho did, because of the status of himself, and the status of the environment around him.
As such, Adachi’s character and place in the story well defines the themes of bonds overall. Humans are social creatures, it’s truly impossible to be alone. We see these two different outcomes in bancho and Adachi. If you let yourself open up and have the sun shine on your face, the world can seem brighter and you’ll be happier with people you love and who love you. Or, you can continue to hide in the dark and decay, to the point you’ve rotted so much you believe you can’t even go outside, despite all the hands that reach out to you you’re too scared to take. Thus, you shun them and hide deeper into the dark if anything else goes wrong.

Personally, growing up and maturing myself, you just feel bad for Adachi. Back then, i couldnt understand bancho’s immense well of patience and kindness and consideration for others, that he even included Adachi. Only to realize i was in Adachi’s place the whole time. To see a man so utterly depressed, and how he’s done nothing about it and just let himself get all moldy inside. But you have to cut him some slack, because there most likely weren’t any angels around him with that same well of patience and kindness as someone like bancho, someone he met much later in life.
And, how at the time, consultation and/or medication at the time was stigmatized—and the state of the time he was born and grew up in.
im not sure if it’s an honor to say that god chose him to be its prophet and usher in the New World. To see him as an avatar or representative of the people that feel the same, or understand the fact that a majority of the people of Inaba share a collective belief in this manner.

dear owner of this blog, in your rules you have don't make stepbrother jokes about caleb, so I wanted to ask isn't cn caleb literally mc's adopted brother? I mean that's the reason why they feel guilty about their relationship in most of his cards... the apple is a symbol of it too. I was just curious I LIKE EN CALEB even though it's the censored version
Anon,
Pop a squat because we got some things to discuss.
CN Caleb is no different than EN Caleb, the only difference is the translation. And while CN, JP, and KR have a lot more impact given terms used to address a male who is older than MC (note this as it will be very important later in the post), the relationship in all 4 languages remains the same and unchanging.
The biggest issue is the people who are not familiar with culture differences, I will get into that after I address a few things.
isn't cn caleb literally mc's adopted brother?
No. Josephine took them in under her care; none of them are familial. Caleb is not a brother or a step brother and he never saw MC as a sister, the same goes with MC, she is not a sister or step sister, and she never saw Caleb as her brother.
I mean that's the reason why they feel guilty about their relationship in most of his cards…
What cards are you referring to? If anything, it sounds like you are not understanding the contents of the cards to be assuming they feel guilty about their relationship.
the apple is a symbol of it too.
The apple symbolizes much more than just forbidden love; in regard to his recent myth, having MC and Caleb together had always been forbidden because of what they can cause — a supernova, which can evidently obliterate everything that is within its range. They were forbidden to be together or to be aware of each other, because of the destruction they would inevitably cause.
In addition, the apple does not only represent forbidden love. The apple represents life, its challenges and wisdom/knoweldge. Even in the story of Adam and Eve, the apple represented the departure of innocence and into a soul-oriented life, self-awareness; we can connect this to the moment when Caleb/X-02 rejected the command to eliminate MC/A-01.
Parallels to note — In the current timeline, their lifetime in Linkon, they were both experimented on in the same facility as Subject 001 and Subject 002; in their timeline as A-01 and X-02, they were experimented on in the same facility — they come from the same source — they were created to destroy each other.
Same myth, different font.
I LIKE EN CALEB even though it's the censored version
Nothing is being censored. Going back to the cultural differences, allow me to explain the terms Asian cultures use to address males that are older than you.
CN — Gege = translates to “older brother”, but is also used to address males who are older than you.
The same goes with JP with “Oniisan” and KR with “Oppa”. In addition, if it’s weird to call Caleb “Oppa”, then it’s weird to call a member of a kpop group who is older than you “Oppa” as well, yeah?
And I can say that if this game were to be translated in Tagalog (Filipino), I’m almost certain they would have MC calling Caleb “Kuya”, which also means “older brother”, but is used to address males who are older.
English doesn't have that. There is no term used to refer to an older male like in CN, JP, or KR.
So, yeah, thanks for reading my rules though.
In conclusion: to each their own. If you want to continue with the idea that Caleb is a brother to MC, by all means go for it, but keep that pseduo-incest and step brother shit away from me lmao.
I can assure you that if you go that route, I will make it painstakingly platonic with absolutely no traces of romance.
#outofcommands#anon#asks#// yes this is lengthy.#// i will give you the benefit of doubt.#caleb#lnds caleb#lads caleb#love and deepspace caleb

Nothing in Particular | 3 - What's in a Name?
Pairing: Omota Uramichi x F!Reader
Summary: A series of unexpected encounters and misunderstandings causes you to fill a large and gaping hole in Uramichi’s life.
Minors and blank blogs DNI! You will be blocked!
Warning: Uramichi jerkin' it <3
Your to-go containers sat innocently on Uramichi’s counter as he passed them each day. You hadn’t seen each other in weeks despite the promise to do so more often. Usahara mentioned something called ghosting, where things seemed like they were going very well, then the other person would disappear without a trace. Was that happening to him?
He shook his head. No, it couldn’t be because you texted several times a week. Were you actually talking though?
Hi, when are you free? Sorry, overtime again. How was your day? Ugh, busy. Good morning! Good night!
Leaning against the counter, he analyzed your conversation until unexpectedly your photo ID popped up on his screen, making him jump. He waited a few seconds before answering it. You hadn’t called him before.
Bumping the call volume to its max setting, his ears still strained to hear you. All he could tell was that you were talking to a man, though he couldn’t hear the words clearly. His stomach sank. He should have known that things were too good to be true. Rather than letting the masochistic side of him win and continue to listen, his finger hovered over the ‘end call’ button.
“Huh? Ura…?” You said, voice suddenly clear. “Excuse me, Sakumoto, there’s something I need to take care of. I expect an email with more details by the end of tomorrow.”
Had he been listening this entire time, or was this a long voicemail? “Uramichi…?”
He said your name. “Hello?”
Fiddling with the pen on your desk, you smiled when you heard him speak. “Sorry for the random call! I’m still at work right now, trying to tie up loose ends for that team dinner on Friday.”
Ah, so it wasn’t what he thought it was. That sick feeling in his stomach disappeared as he hummed, scrolling back a few days to see that you did mention having to plan something nice for your team.
Putting away your things and slinging your bag around your shoulder, you pulled out your earbuds to keep your hands free. “You’re quiet,” you noted. “Guess I must have disturbed ya, huh?”
He shook his head even though you couldn’t see him. “No, I’m just a little tired. I just got back from the gym.” A part of him was waiting for a comment about being a gorilla or that he was a meathead.
Pushing past the front door, you didn’t bother to give your workplace another glance. You were too busy thinking of a sweaty Uramichi lifting weights and breathing heavily. His face probably flushed easily and his sweat made his hair stick to his forehead. You thought of the way his Adam's apple moved as he gulped down water. Good thing you were done for the day–and good lord, was it already night?--because your thoughts were definitely NSFW.
“Ooh, look at you. Good job,” you said. “I’ll let you get your rest then.”
He gripped the edge of the counter, somehow not expecting that answer. Was it only him that wanted to talk longer? Ah, but you said you were just leaving work. He looked at the clock. It read a god awful 8:30 PM.
“Oh, and Michi? It was so nice to hear your voice.” He could hear your smile. Did you actually mean that? He found himself smiling back at your words. “I’ll talk to you soon, okay?”
---
Smokes in hand, Uramichi stiffened when he felt an unknown presence stalking behind him. It couldn’t have been Amon. He was out on vacation. Besides, this person’s aura felt far too menacing compared to the creative producer.
“Oh, Uramichi oniisan~” Utano sang from behind. When he didn’t stop, her voice dropped. “Hey, we need to talk.”
He was a few paces from the smoke room, and slowly he turned to see if he could make a run for it. Utano was somehow behind him, but at the very least she was pushing him towards where he wanted to go.
“I heard you and my friend had a lovely chat a while ago,” she said. At least she let him light up his cigarette before their break was over.
Uramichi took a quick puff, letting the smoke dissipate slowly upwards. “How’d you know?”
Giving him a look before rolling her eyes, she should have known that this was an Uramichi–and an Usahara and Iketeru too–type question. The lack of experience with women was obvious.
“Duh, we’re friends . We tell each other everything.”
He smoked a bit more without saying anything. He considered him and Nekota friends but certainly didn’t share all the details of his life with him. Kumatani, Iketeru, and Usahara were in the same boat too. There were things about each other that they didn’t know and didn’t care to know either. What was the point in knowing everything about someone’s life?
“So is everything good?” She asked, annoyed with his silence.
“Uhh, yes?”
Utano assessed his facial expression and body language. Uramichi’s arms weren’t crossed, letting his hand that held the cigarette dangle at his side. His ankles weren’t crossed either, meaning he wasn’t hiding anything or acting defensive. He spoke and looked at her with a confused expression. Even though he wasn’t as much of a liar as Kumatani or Usahara, she still couldn’t trust him. He didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve like Iketeru and lacked their kouhai’s brutal honesty too.
“Good,” she smiled.
She’s weird when she’s cryptic, Uramichi thought. “Why do you ask?”
Continuing her assessment, she noted that his mood has been more stable these days too. Naturally, she attributed it to your good work.
In her grating cheerful work voice, she spoke, “Things are better when we get along.”
“Huh?”
Deciding that she was done with him, Utano offered a few last words to a bewildered Uramichi. “Make sure you treat my friend well… or else! ☆”
“Chicks are pretty scary,” he mumbled to himself as he ashed the end of his cigarette onto the tray. What was the point of their conversation?
---
Uramichi just needed to get through the work week. His final obstacle before he could enjoy his weekend was a dreaded dinner that the station decided to throw in his honor. Apparently, he was in the running to win a Galaxy Award for outstanding television host, which was a surprise since he didn’t consider himself one. Regardless, his win would give MHK and their show more fame, which equaled more views and more revenue. He hoped that it also meant a bigger paycheck.
He doubted it though as he followed the directions to an upscale restaurant in Roppongi. The station would rather splurge on luxuries like these instead of paying their workers what they were worth.
Tugging at his tie, he loosened it a bit before stepping inside. The only time he ever dressed up was when he had to give official interviews as a gymnast and at the year-end work party. He couldn’t wait to dress down into something more comfortable.
The bathroom mirror’s bright lights showed every pore and wrinkle you had as you did one last once over on your appearance. Sticking to your rule to be overdressed instead of under, you smoothed over your clothes, making sure you looked neat. Your dress fit tighter than you’d like, an oversight you made by changing your outfit last minute. At the very least, your hair and makeup looked good.
Your assistant, Sakumoto, had done well with his assignment. Your goal was to make the teams that you managed feel appreciated. After all, you had asked a lot out of them in the past quarter, and their quiet grumbles and complaints weren’t completely lost on you.
It was a shame that he couldn’t rent out the entire place. Sure, your boss wouldn’t have liked how much you spent, but you’d been in your position long enough to know how to write off certain expenses. It’d be worth it too, you could argue, to have happy employees.
Leaving the bathroom and entering the dining room, you were confused to see Sakumoto and two other supervisors, Hasegawa and Iwamoto, crowding around what was obviously the other party that had the other half of the restaurant. Other staff joined their crowd, and quickly you rushed to assess the situation.
“Uramichi oniisan! Love your work, buddy. If it weren’t for you, my wife and I would be going insane. Jotaru uses up all of his energy doing those ABC calisthenics!”
You turned at the sound of your name. “Utano?”
Giving you a hug, she pulled you aside, giving the crowd a glance. “Hey girly! I didn’t know you were doing your team dinner here. Oh my gosh, we should totally merge parties.” You both looked at the intermingled groups. “I didn’t know that a lot of people on your team were huge fans!”
Sakumoto was chatting with the director while Hasegawa and Iwamoto talked to Iketeru. The other staff continued to surround Uramichi and two other actors that Utano said were the mascots. You hummed, “Yeah, I didn’t know either.”
While Usahara and Kumatani bickered and the other people made their way to Iketeru and the Derekida, Uramichi tried to find a viable escape route from this exhausting social situation. Instead, his eyes spotted you and Utano talking.
He called out your name, making you turn from your conversation. You weren’t sure why you were expecting him to be in exercise gear, especially when Utano herself was dressed up, but you were pleasantly surprised to see how well he cleaned up. This look gave him the aura of a true TV star.
“No way,” you heard Akane, a new hire that you already had to keep an eye on, whisper loudly. “How does our boss know such a hottie?”
Maybe it was because he hadn’t seen you in a while, but Uramichi couldn’t help but blurt out that you looked nice. Utano watched the exchange with the pleased look of a successful matchmaker before giving you space (and so she could watch from afar).
“I could say the same about yourself,” you said, giving him one last look for good measure. It’d be the only casual comment you’d give him. You had to remind yourself that you were at a work event and needed to be professional.
You could already see your staff gathering around you both. Good. You didn’t have to herd them to the correct side.
“I see some of you have already met the stars of Together with Maman, like my dear friend Ms. Tadano as well as Mr. Omota and Mr. Daga along with other members of their production team. It seems like they’re here for their own celebration, so let’s be respectful of that and give them some space.”
Utano waved after her introduction as did Iketeru. Unfortunately, Uramichi was different.
“It’s nice to meet you all,” he told them, then turned to you, “and please, call me Uramichi.”
“We love you, Uramichi!! I can get laid in the morning because of ya’ll!”
Shooting a glare at Daiki, you mouthed that you’d talk to him later. Daiki paled.
Clapping your hands, you hoped that the team would finally get the cue that you wanted them to leave the Together with Maman team the fuck alone. You hated having to repeat yourself. You also didn’t want to look bad in front of Uramichi.
“Thanks so much for being so welcoming, Mr. Omota. Now let’s get ready for dinner and drinks, team!”
Why were you calling him Omota again? Didn’t you both agree to call each other by your names? “No need to be so formal,” he reminded you. “I don’t care what they call me, but you should call me by my requested name.”
Utano snickered behind her drink as you stared at Uramichi blankly. After knowing Uramichi for years, she knew exactly what he was doing. He really wanted to feel close to you. In a way, she felt sorry for questioning his sincerity and motives towards you earlier. This man was unknowingly dealing with an adult crush, and he was so fucking cringe.
Surprisingly, it was Usahara who had come to your rescue, pulling Uramichi away while Kumatani followed behind them. He couldn’t help but feel sorry for you. “Quit bullying her, bro. That’s not how you get chicks.”
Bullying? Uramichi only wanted to be less formal with you.
To prove his point, Usahara turned back at you and winked, earning a very bewildered look out of you. Quickly, you returned to your team.
Despite the unexpected introduction and mingling, the team dinner had gone without a hitch. Your team was happy, full, and drunk, which you hoped meant that they would continue to keep up the good work. You hoped that you could pay them off with good food and booze until the end of the year, or at least until your own annual review.
Unfortunately, being the host meant that you were the last to leave. Paying the bill, you sighed. Exhaustion made the alcohol hit your system quicker. At least you wouldn’t look like a fool in front of your co-workers.
It was a shame though. You wanted to hang out with Utano more, but your friend had left about an hour prior with her boyfriend. You wouldn’t want to be a third wheel with them anyway.
With no one left from your company, you left the restaurant, pausing when you saw a familiar person smoking outside.
“I thought you left a while ago,” you told Uramichi.
He couldn’t say that he was stalling just to see you. “Yeah,” he exhaled, “they threw this party because of me, so it’d be rude if I was the first to leave.”
You nodded. “Utano told me about your nomination. Congrats!”
Trying to downplay his achievement, he shrugged out a thanks and tossed his cig in the trash. “Anyway, let’s head to the station. We might miss the last train.”
Following in his step, you teased him, “Uh-oh. Don’t tell me that you’re gonna walk me home after.”
He gave you a look. “Strong, independent women in their 30s still need to be protected late at night, especially when they’ve had a bit to drink.”
You couldn’t argue with that.
---
Ugh, the ride back home would take a half-hour. Clutching your purse in your lap, you leaned forward in your seat while Uramichi stood in front of you. The alcohol was really hitting and had you wondering if you really had overdone it. You closed your eyes as you tried to stop the spins from getting to you.
The train car grew emptier with each stop, and soon its movement lulled you to sleep.
Your head rested on something more comfortable than your hands, and you nuzzled your face into whatever it was.
Uramichi mumbled your name in a strangled voice, “Hey, um, could you uh, could you move?”
Why would you need to do that? Opening your eyes, you saw his zipper, then looked more and saw a bulge. Oh.
Jolting up, you sat back into your seat, relieved that no one was around to see you. Somehow, the fact that you were alone was worse. The subway air felt thick each time the door opened. Uramichi’s cheeks were flushed. Your new position didn’t change the fact that you were eye-level with his boner.
Sliding into the seat beside you, he pointed towards his arm. “You can rest still if you want. We have about twenty more minutes until we reach our stop.” His blush spread to his ears and down his neck. “I think this way will be more comfortable for both of us.”
Wrapping your arms around his, you took him up on that offer.
“How ‘bout one more drink before the night ends?” You asked, getting a second wind from your power nap as well as newfound sobriety. You stretched your arms overhead, a bit stiff from sleeping while sitting up.
Although Uramichi said that leaning on his shoulder would be more comfortable, it was a lie. Asleep, your arms fell limp. One hand covered his own while the other laid precariously on his lap. Your knees bumped into his thigh, and your breasts pressed into his arm.
Honestly, all he wanted was some relief from this unintentional torture you put him through, but it was difficult to refuse you.
Trying to think of what was open, the two of you had limited options. The konbini, Cat Kick… Oh. That place might work, if you were willing.
“My place is right there,” he said sheepishly while pointing out his building. “I have a few bottles if you don’t mind something a bit stronger than beer.”
“Ah, the really nice apartments,” you noted. Uramichi lived in the high-rise that had its own doorsman.
Uramichi tried to find other reasons why you should go to his place instead of a bar; any reason would do to make him seem less creepy. “Oh! And I still have your containers from last time.”
“Right. I was really missing those actually,” you winked, “so I guess I might as well stop by and get them.”
There was a skip in your step as you followed him home.
---
Taking a good look at his apartment, you tried to memorize everything you could, in case you’d never see this place again. Despite all of his accolades and trophies, his walls and shelves were surprisingly devoid of any of that. The only hint that Uramichi might even be into any sport at all were the dumbbells and hand grips he had in a corner and some workout magazines on the table.
“I’ll have what you’re having,” you said as you made yourself comfortable at the table.
Uramichi looked up from what he was doing. He was already pouring himself a large glass of whiskey on the rocks.
You looked at him, then the cup while Uramichi grew conscious about just how much he drank. You regretted saying what you did as he continued to pour. He only stopped just a hair before it would overflow.
And because of social etiquette, he slowly pushed the glass towards you, not spilling a drop despite your hopes. With a tight smile, you accepted it.
“You really don’t have to finish that,” he said, pouring himself an identical glass.
“Oh, it’s fine!” You smiled. “You poured it for me, and I asked for it. It’d be rude not to drink it all.”
Life left your eyes as you swallowed hard to get through the burn.
Coughing, you asked him, “So how was the rest of your night? Sorry about my co-workers. I didn’t know that they were fans.”
He shrugged, “I’ve had worse conversations from parents. But yeah, the rest of the night was fine.” He was hoping that the two parties would merge, but you seemed hellbent on keeping your team in line.
Taking a smaller sip, you said, “I didn’t realize how popular you are. Now I’m kind of worried that there might be more competition than I realized.”
“With the kids program?” He asked.
Before you could say that no , you were not talking about the kids program, respectfully fuck the program, and that you were trying your hardest to flirt with him, Uramichi continued to speak.
“I mean, there are a few other educational programs out there, but a lot of ‘em nowadays are more focused on entertainment. Honestly, I think it’s a bit overstimulating for the targeted age group.”
You finished the rest of your drink in two large gulps, wiping away the tears in your eyes and mumbling about the burn. “Is that so?” You coughed. “Well, that makes you even more amazing.”
How had he finished his drink before you? He made zero indication that he even drank at all–no coughing, no wincing, nothing.
“Actually, I think what you do is more amazing instead. One of your kouhais was telling me that you’re one of the youngest regional managers at the company.”
“It’s not that impressive,” you admitted. “I just… do the bare minimum, which is apparently still too much compared to others–that’s how I fast-tracked it to my current position. And what did it get me other than a slightly larger salary and a significantly larger amount of work?” You shook your head. “I should have spent my 20s at the club or going on gokons.”
“Oh… is that what you’re into?”
“Not really,” you swirled the ice around in your cup. “I guess I feel like I missed out on a lot of things because of work?”
As a child, you were sold the lie that girls could have it all–a career, a family, and a fulfilling social life–and it was only in adulthood that you realized how difficult it was to balance all three. You never dated because you were too busy getting promotions. Your friend group slowly dropped off as each of you submitted to social expectations and life’s demands. All you had was this shitty job that you needed in order to live.
Uramichi felt the same way with his gymnastics career. The fame and glory meant nothing when it felt like he was falling behind and failing at life.
You rambled on, “I mean, we didn’t even get to have dinner together or see each other until now.”
Somehow your honesty embarrassed him, just like when you spoke on the phone. You made him feel important.
“I’m happy that we’re able to be together now though,” he said, “ alone too.”
Were your feelings finally getting across to him? Maybe he was an honest drunk.
“Is that so, Michi?” Your cheeks hurt from smiling so much around him.
His mouth twisted into a pout. “Aw, don’t play cute by calling me that when it’s just us.”
“I knew that was what you wanted me to call you at the restaurant! Why ?”
There was an innocent look in Uramichi’s eyes. They sparkled with hope and misunderstanding. “Didn’t we agree to call each other by our first names? It felt like you were going back on your promise.”
That little devil!
“Well, uh, yeah,” you trailed off, recalling that embarrassing incident at the market, “but not while I’m at work! People will be suspicious!”
“Suspicious of what?” He asked, all charm gone from his features and voice. He was serious, as if he didn’t know what you were talking about.
Now that you thought about it, what would that imply? It seemed like a lot of people were on a first-name basis with Uramichi, and people called out to him like that because of his work. It was something that you could easily get away with. Was there anything to be suspicious about between you and Uramichi? Maybe you were just friends or had known each other for a long time. No one knew your history together. How did he see you anyway?
Your dark thoughts only grew darker because of the alcohol, and you fell into an all-consuming spiral. You looked up from your glass, laughing. “You’re right. I guess I’m overthinking things!”
Standing up, you thought it’d be best to leave before you did something embarrassing. “Anyways, I think I should go now.”
The clock read that it was nearly two in the morning. “No way,” Uramichi said firmly, holding you by the wrist. “It’s late, and you’re drunk.”
The problem with alcohol was that it was hard to notice how hard it hit you until you started moving. Everything was spinning, and your body felt heavy and slow. “It's fine!” You tried to argue and pull away. “‘‘m fine!”
---
And as life would have it, things were not fine as you woke up to the sun peeking in through the curtains, strategically blinding you. Groaning, your head pounded from the hangover. You were hoping that all you’d feel today was some photosensitivity and a headache instead of wasting your day by the toilet.
Turning from the sun, your leg wrapped around something that was firm yet soft. You felt the mattress. It definitely wasn’t yours. The sheets didn’t smell like your sheets either. They smelled like…You buried your head into the pillow. A man?!
You employed all the techniques that your company equipped you with for stress management: breathe deeply, express gratitude, ground yourself in the present… Ugh, that was all a load of shit in this situation!
You recalled everything you could from last night: team dinner, train, Uramichi’s place, you hurt your own feelings after drinking too much, then left. You left… right? All you could remember were your intentions to leave and spilling water on your clothes, then changing out of them right after.
Which meant that this bed and these sheets were Uramichi’s.
And the person that you were cuddling was…
“What the fuck?!”
You were met with the blank stare of some disgusting human-bird chimera. Trying to avoid its judgemental gaze, you weren’t sure if you should look at its beak or lips, eventually settling on its bright blue buttoned top. Why the hell was it human-sized too?
“You’re not Uramichi!”
In your fright, you threw the creature with all your strength. It landed a foot away from the bed with a thud.
A shirt that wasn’t yours pooled at the tops of your thighs as you sat, tickling your bare legs. You grabbed your boobs. No bra on either. Shifting, you were grateful that at least your panties were still on. Could you and Uramichi really have…?
Hearing your movement from the bed, Uramichi laid still while contemplating what to do next after last night. He didn’t fully understand why you were upset but couldn’t let you leave in that condition. The water he offered you spilled on your clothes. His plan to walk you home after an hour of sobering up failed.
“Could I borrow a shirt?” You asked before stripping off your wet dress.
Did you not see him as a man? He wondered as he quickly gathered the dress you threw, nearly getting hit by your bra. He threw your clothes in the dryer as he fought his body’s urge to turn around.
He would have suggested that you laid down, but you already claimed his bed as yours, patting the open spot in front of you.
“Michi?” You asked him, lying on your side with your head resting on your hand. “Aren’t you gonna come?”
The whiskey drunk was slow when it wanted to be but could hit the drinker like a truck just as easily.
“Only if you’ll let me,” he stammered out.
God, he could hear himself and he prayed for death. He sounded like a virgin, not that it was anything to be ashamed of, but that was something that he wasn’t. He didn’t want you to think that he was a completely inexperienced and inept fool. Maybe he’d just blame all of this on the alcohol.
How could he not be tempted and feel the things that men felt when you were in his bed like that? His shirt clung to parts of your body that it shouldn’t: hanging onto the contour of your hard nipples, bunching up at your waist. Your panties were dark and lacy.
“Well?”
This could be his only chance, he thought, as he did his best to get rid of his clothes. Nearly choking himself out with his tie, his shirt was next. His fingers fumbled with his belt buckle.
Stepping out of his pants, he was met with disappointment. You were already asleep. Fate was cruel. How could anyone fall asleep that fast?
Disappointment brought back his senses, and he resigned to getting the guest futon. When he came back, to add even more insult to injury, he saw that disgustingly large stuffie of Kotori-san snuggled against your body, upside down so its face was buried between your thighs. That could have been him! It should have been him! He glared at that abomination as he laid out the bedding on the floor..
Leaning over the edge of the bed, Uramichi’s back was turned towards you. He slept shirtless, and you wondered if that was normal or because of the heat. He wasn’t even flexing, but you could see the definition of his back. You told yourself that you were reaching out to him to see if he was awake, not because you were some kind of perv.
“Uramichi?” You tentatively asked, giving his shoulder a soft prod.
That was his cue to turn over. Using his best just-woke-up-but-not-really voice, he mumbled a low ‘good morning’ while stretching out on his back.
“Morning! Would–” His blanket dropped lower, revealing chiseled abs and a tease of his boxer’s waistband. It also revealed a very noticeable tent where his cock was. You caught yourself. “Would you happen to know where my clothes are?”
The sexual frustration and tension from last hit you two harder than your hangovers as you both stared at each other for a moment. Everything you felt last night was bubbling up, and in some weak attempt at protection, you grabbed his sheet to cover up.
“They’re in the dryer,” he said, scrambling to get up. You saw the rest of his perfect body. “I’ll grab ‘em.”
Pointing out the bathroom, he handed off your dress, and you scurried there while he headed to the balcony to smoke.
In the bathroom, you went over last night’s events again. You and Uramichi seemed to have done nothing explicit at all, but he had to have some interest in you, right? There was no way he’d let any woman that he was merely acquainted with sleep in his bed. He was kind though, so maybe he was just being polite?
Coming out of the bathroom with his shirt folded, you thanked him for taking care of you and apologized for any trouble that you might have caused. He stared at you with his cigarette hanging off his lips, an unreadable expression on his face.
“I’ll be heading out now,” you told him, not giving him a chance to even see you off. You hoped that you could quickly walk off your embarrassment.
Putting out the cig, he trailed behind you. There were so many things he wanted to say.
“Wait!” He tried to call out. It only made you walk faster. “I wanted to,”–The front door slammed as he stood in the hallway–“at least kiss you goodbye.”
---
“‘Scuse me!” You called out in a hurry, pushing past two guys to make sure you caught the elevator down. Your walk of shame started now, and the fact that you didn’t even fuck made it even worse.
“Man,” Usahara commented, glancing back to make sure you weren’t waiting by the lift, “hope she’s not late for work. It’s past noon.”
“Probably is,” Kumatani shrugged, trying to think of why you looked so familiar. Nothing came to mind. “Oh well. Think Uramichi will let us in? He hasn’t answered any of our calls or texts, so I hope he didn’t forget about today.”
Swinging the bag of alcohol he brought, Usahara laughed. “That dude? No way! I bet this is the only thing he’s got goin’ on for the weekend. Well, this, and hitting up the gym.”
The door opened to reveal an exhausted Uramichi, now dressed in athleisure as he quickly tidied up his apartment. Thankfully, his phone’s ringer was on, and he saw the texts in their group chat.
“Yo dude, you look like death,” Usahara said first, pushing his way past the disgruntled man to throw some drinks in the fridge.
There was something off about their senpai and his place, but he couldn’t place what. Kumatani felt it too.
“Yeah, more so than usual. You sure you’re still up to watch this movie?”
Uramichi sighed, closing the door. “Well, you’ve already made yourselves at home, haven’t you? Even if I said no, I don’t think you would leave.”
Settling into his spot at the table, Uramichi thought about how last night you were across from him sharing a drink. Now you were replaced by his meddlesome kouhais who were making a mess of all the snacks and drinks they laid out on the table. His eye twitched.
Naturally, Usahara was the first to dig into Uramichi’s odder than ordinary behavior. Usually he was annoyed, but today he seemed standoffish and annoyed. “So what gives, man? You stayed up late partying? Someone took too long on your fave machine at the gym?”
Oddly, Utano’s voice cheerfully saying that friends tell each other everything popped into his head. Perhaps now was the perfect opportunity to get closer to the guys he spent nearly a decade hanging around.
“Nah, was up late drinking with a friend,” he admitted while looking off at the TV screen.
His two juniors exchanged looks. They left before he did, deciding to hang out with Nekota at Cat Kick, so Uramichi couldn’t have been talking about them.
“Oh, I didn’t know that you and Kikaku were close like that,” Kumatani said.
Huh? Kikaku? Why would they bring up his name? Uramichi imagined the offense that Kikaku would have at their misunderstanding.
“No, I didn’t drink with Kikaku.”
“Uebu then?”
An even more outlandish suggestion.
“No…”
Neither cared to take anymore guesses as the opening credits for Mozphoon played. Kumatani swore to them that this B-grade horror movie would become a cult classic. After all, had anyone seen a movie that involved mutant mosquitoes terrorizing the city via a typhoon before?
As they were about to leave, Usahara finally realized the cause of the odd vibe he felt at Uramichi’s.
“Dude, did you finally put away your weights?”
Yeah, for the first time in forever, he hadn’t stubbed his toe or tripped over the damn thing. That had to be why things felt different today.
---
With his friends gone, Uramichi sighed. Normally he cleared his head by smoking, but right now, he surprisingly wasn’t in the mood. Perhaps it was because today drained him. He stripped down to his boxers and laid in bed, closing his eyes. His thoughts wandered back to you.
Your tits, your lips, the way that you laughed. He imagined the way your panties would feel against his palms while he grabbed your ass. His ears burned red whenever you said his name.
His raging hard on provided an obvious solution to help him gather his thoughts.
Palming himself, he wasn’t sure why he was so hesitant. Was it because it was you ? His sex drive was low–a deadly combo of stress, depression, drinking, smoking, and the inevitable drop of T that came with aging–and when he actually was in the mood, he usually browsed for sites. It felt wrong to do this without your permission, but this also wasn’t necessarily something he could ask permission for.
“Michi? Aren’t you gonna come?” You asked, giving him that soft, buzzing smile.
When his hand laid still against his cock, you tilted your head and spoke in an impatient inflection, “Well?”
God, he was pathetic. You didn’t even mean it like that, and here he was, harder than he’d ever been in recent memory, cockhead dripping pre when he finally pulled it out.
It wasn’t even your looks that were driving him crazy. It was the way you made him feel. His heart pounded in his ears when you called his name. He grew giddy when he’d see your texts. And when it was just you and him–
Smearing the pre down his shaft, he let his mind wander, no longer caring how desperate and needy he got. It was already obvious that he neglected his needs as a man for too long. Every stroke felt like heaven, and his balls ached, ready for release.
Adjusting his grip to the way he liked, he tugged, wishing you were the one touching him instead. Uramichi thought of you greeting him good morning and good night, calling to tell him that you missed him during the day. He thought of you getting ready for work and welcoming him home after he was done at his.
Carefully reaching down to grab his shirt from the floor, he used it to wipe up the mess he made. After, he stared at the ceiling, waiting for that post-nut clarity to go into effect. And when it didn’t, he sighed, his hand wandering downwards. Guess he’d have to try again.

A/N: Not sure what's gotten into me. I never update this quickly lol. Maybe it's because I've been binging the men's gymnastics portion of the Olympics? But thanks for reading, ya'll. I've been having a lot of fun with this fic.

❗️ This chapter was PARTIALLY voice-acted live at the 4piece Final Ceremony Live Event! The scripts for the live event and the in-game story are slightly different.
"Gahhh, I can’t breathe…! Subaru, little less strength, please~!"
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Season: Spring
Location: 4piece Final Ceremony Stage
Fuyume: Yume has an objection.
Why wasn’t Yume, the number one cutest, chosen? The judges must have no eyes to see. Yume would much rather you withdraw from the seat.
Esu: What are you talking abouUUUUT?! The one who should withdraw is you! Are you stupid?! Do you even know what’s going on?!
Aren’t I always telling you to stop causing trouble to the general publiIIIIC?!
Please excuse him! I’m so sorry! I’ll take responsibility for this guy and drag him elsewhere, please continue!
Fuyume: Ow. Don’t pull Yume like that, Esu. You’re too forceful.
Nazuna: Ahaha, aren’t those quite the newcomers~? Though, better to have one that has a strong backbone than one that’s weak, I suppose.
Keito: How incorrigible. These results are being broadcasted, you know.
This 4piece is considered a major event, attracting attention from leading figures from a variety of industries. Standing out in a bad way won’t do you any good.
Nazuna: That is true, isn’t it? Wow~, they might get chewed out later then, huh. You think they’ll be okay?
Mao: Dance Dream Unit…? And they chose me for it?! For real!?
Subaru: Hooraaay! This is amazing, Sally~! Congraaats!
Mao: Gahhh, I can’t breathe…! Subaru, little less strength, please~!
Subaru: Ahaha, sorry, sorry! I’m just so happy your hard work’s been recognized, Sally~! As if it were my own! ☆
…Hm?
Tsukasa: ……
Subaru: You good, Cathy~? Could you be in a state of shock?
Tsukasa: Huh? Oh, no. I was just thinking a little.
Of course, I personally feel a sense of frustration, but… In order to grow, I must accept these results, so I cannot let myself feel down.
And, I am also the Leader of Knights.
As their Unit Leader, I am overjoyed that Sena-senpai and Leo-san have been selected.
And so I was thinking about our Schedule for the future.
I was wondering if our Schedule might require some revisions now that we have Nice Dream Unit activities to consider.
Ritsu: Ooh~, as expected of Suu~chan. You’re starting to act more and more like a dignified “king”~. I’m so proud. ♪
Tsukasa: If that’s what you believe, then I request you to stop praising me like a child.
Ritsu: Hey, Maa~kun. I gave it everything I got, but it still wasn’t enough. Comfort me~.
I’m just such a poor thing, you know~? I deserve some pity and comfort, don’t I~?
Mao: Umm? You don’t look to actually be all that genuinely upset or anything to me, though?
Ibuki: Oh, huh. So I wasn’t selected, huh~.
Well, there’s no point sticking around, so I’mma get somethin’ to eat~.
Chiaki: …I did it! I DID IIIIT!
I’m so happy~! This feels like a victory I achieved together with RYUSEITAI and everyone else who lent their strength! ♪
Mitsuru: I was selected too~! I’m so happy, yanno! ☆
Raika: Chiaki-oniisan, Mitsuru-oniisan, congratulations on your victory! I too am so happy~!
Kanna: Hm? Is that… Hojo Raika-san? He was here too…?
Jun: …I won. I… won against Ohii-san…!
Hiyori: Congratulations. You did not do all too bad, Jun-kun! Things will end differently next time, though!
Jun: Yeah… Thanks so much.
…You’re acting a little unusually modest, huh, Ohii-san?
Hiyori: Because this is quite the inconvenience for me! It’s supposed to be your important duty to be at my immediate back and call to fulfill any wish I may have, Jun-kun…!
Jun: GODDAMN! There’s not a lick of modesty when it comes to you! You just want to make a slave outta me!
Jun: ……
(I’ve set my mind to it, so… I gotta tell everyone about it properly.)
Izumi: Heh. I can even win an audition if I put my mind to it, you know?
I may not have been able to gain as much recognition as I’d like overseas, but… That doesn’t mean I intend to give way to the next generation in Japan either, you know.
Leo: So I’m in the Dance Dream Unit? It doesn’t really feel real yet. But I don’t exactly dislike dancin’, so it’s fine, I guess?
I wonder if they’ve got a song prepared already?
If I’m dancin’ with a group like this, I think I’d be able to write a new song~. Though, maybe dancin’ to someone else’s song will be inspiring?
Hinata: If you were to dance with the winners of the audition, and have it be a song composed by you on top of that, Tsukinaga-senpai… Now that would be a crazy cheat code, for sure.
Ibara: …Yuuta-kun, you don’t seem all too disappointed, even though you were not selected.
Yuuta: Could say the same about you, Vice Prez.
Ibara: Because I can still achieve my goal, even if I am not selected. And since His Highness and Jun have been selected, this will be a perfect advertising opportunity for Eden.
Yuuta: I’m in a similar boat, then. We just prioritized a win for 2wink.
It’s not like I lost from this. I just didn’t get selected this time around.
And so, this place just didn’t turn out to be for me. That’s why I’ll just leave it to Aniki and get my own elsewhere.
Ibara: I don’t dislike that way of thinking. Although, it is one that’s difficult to have recognized.
Mayoi: Hiiro-san, congratulations on your placement in the Vocal Dream Unit.
Your singing really is so wonderful, Hiiro-san. I just knew you would be able to make the most out of this opportunity.
Hiiro: But I feel like it’s such a shame, Mayoi-senpai. How come it didn’t work out for you?
You’re so incredibly skilled, and all…
Mayoi: Oh, no no. I am very much aware of why it didn’t work out for me.
Besides, the valuable experience I acquired in that field is plenty enough for me.
Wataru: Oya oya, I didn’t expect that I would pass.
Sora: …?
Wataru: Oh? What is it, Sora-kun?
Sora: Sorry if Sora’s mistaken, he can’t see all too well right now, but…
Is Dai-shisho~ not happy about that?
Dai-shisho~’s voice sounds happy, even though his words don’t, and it doesn’t match up~. So Sora found it a bit odd.
Wataru: Amazing, you are quite perceptive as ever, Sora-kun~!
I am rather happy. But having an evaluation of that audition makes me feel embarrassed somehow.
So I inadvertently behaved as if it was of no concern to me, or rather, how to put it… I am finding myself responding half-heartedly.
Sora: Sora doesn’t quite understand. If Dai-shisho~ is happy, then Sora thinks he should just let it show~!
Wataru: Ahaha, now that’s not an easy pill to swallow~. Could you let Eichi know that as well?
Sora: ?
Nice: “I understand there are many mixed emotions of joy and sorrow to be felt, but we’re running out of time. It’s due time for us to bring this results announcement to a close.”
“I too am beyond happy to have met you all through 4piece.”
“The children who have been chosen and those who were not, are all so very nice! The future of the idol industry is a bright one indeed!”

Unveiling the Hidden Life
➥ summary: Uramichi Omota normally keeps his life unwraps, well not this time
➥ Uramichi Omota x reader, Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan x reader
➥ a/n : I’m happy you all enjoy my spiderverse stories but I’m taking a new turn now. I’ve decided to go into another fandom and this is that fandom, you’ll be seeing more of Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan on my blog :)
In the bustling break room of the TV studio, Uramichi Omota sat with his co-workers, listening to their animated chatter about their private lives. They were sharing stories of family outings, weekend getaways, and new friendships, while Uramichi mostly remained quiet, keeping his personal life tightly under wraps.
"So, Uramichi, what about you? Any exciting plans for the weekend?" Mitsuo asked with a playful grin.
Uramichi offered a half-hearted smile, his typical deadpan expression betraying no hint of what lay beneath. "I'll probably just stay home and catch up on sleep," he replied, attempting to deflect the attention away from himself.
But his co-workers were relentless, determined to get a glimpse into the life of their enigmatic colleague. "Come on, there must be something more exciting than that," Akiyama chimed in.
Just as Uramichi was about to provide another vague response, his phone began to vibrate insistently on the table. He glanced at the caller ID and seemed taken aback for a moment before clearing his throat and excusing himself from the group.
With a mix of curiosity and concern, his co-workers watched as he stepped away and answered the call. To their surprise, a woman's voice filled the break room, and Uramichi seemed to be engaged in a lively conversation.
"Who's that on the phone?" Mitsuo whispered to the others, trying to catch a glimpse of the mysterious woman.
"I have no idea. I've never seen him with anyone before," Akiyama replied, equally intrigued.
As the conversation continued, Uramichi's face softened into a smile, a sight his co-workers had never witnessed before. Their curiosity only grew as they heard him chuckling and asking about someone named Hiroshi.
Just then, Uramichi turned the phone's camera towards himself, revealing a young boy with a mischievous grin on the screen. "Say hi to Uncle Mitsuo and Aunt Akiyama," Uramichi said, directing the boy's attention to his co-workers.
"Hi, Uncle Mitsuo! Hi, Aunt Akiyama!" the boy named Hiroshi waved enthusiastically.
A wave of astonishment washed over the break room as the co-workers exchanged glances, trying to process the revelation. Uramichi had a son, and there was a woman in his life named (Y/n). This was a side of him they had never seen before - a man with a loving family and a genuine smile on his face.
After ending the call, Uramichi returned to the break room, and all eyes were on him. He took a deep breath and decided it was time to let his guard down, at least with his closest colleagues.
"Alright, you caught me," Uramichi admitted with a small smile. "I've been keeping my private life under wraps for various reasons, but yes, I do have a family. (Y/n) is my wife, and Hiroshi is our son."
His co-workers couldn't contain their surprise, bombarding him with questions about his family and why he had kept it a secret for so long.
"It's not that I'm ashamed of them or anything like that," Uramichi explained. "I guess I just wanted to keep my work and personal life separate. Plus, I've always been known for my dark humor and pessimistic outlook on life, and I didn't want that to affect how people saw my family."
"But you have such a loving family," Akiyama remarked. "Why wouldn't you want to share that with the world?"
Uramichi sighed, reflecting on his past struggles and experiences. "I've had my fair share of disappointments in life," he confessed. "And I guess I didn't want to burden my family with my issues or have them judged based on my reputation."
Mitsuo placed a hand on Uramichi's shoulder, offering him a supportive smile. "We're your friends, Uramichi. You can trust us. And from what we've seen, you have a beautiful family who clearly loves you."
Uramichi's eyes softened, and for the first time in a long while, he felt a sense of acceptance and understanding from his co-workers. He realized that he didn't have to hide his happiness and love for his family, and that sharing this part of his life might even help him find a new sense of balance and joy.
From that day on, Uramichi Omota allowed himself to be more open about his personal life. He introduced his co-workers to his wife, (Y/n), and his son, Hiroshi, who occasionally visited the studio during filming breaks. The dark humor and cynicism were still a part of him, but now there was a newfound sense of warmth and contentment in his heart, knowing that he had a loving family to come home to every day. And his co-workers, who had once seen him as a lonely and disillusioned man, now admired him for his strength, resilience, and the love he had found in the midst of life's trials and tribulations.
•••
The studio was abuzz with activity as the crew prepared for another episode of "Together with Mama." Uramichi Omota's co-workers were excitedly discussing the day's topic, "What do you love most in life?" Little did they know that today's show would be one they would remember for a lifetime.
As the cameras began rolling, Uramichi greeted the young audience with his usual deadpan humor, masking the anticipation building within him. Today's topic hit a little too close to home, as he grappled with the idea of sharing his most cherished love in front of the entire nation.
Just as he began to speak, a familiar voice interrupted the room. "(Y/n)" Uramichi's heart skipped a beat as he turned to see his wife, (Y/n), and their son, Hiroshi, standing by the set entrance.
(Y/n) smiled warmly, her eyes filled with love and support as she held Hiroshi's hand. "Sorry for the surprise, but Hiroshi couldn't wait to see his daddy in action," she said, stepping forward.
Uramichi's co-workers were equally surprised, and some gasped in delight as they saw the adorable boy with his bright eyes and infectious grin.
"Oh, he's just precious!" Akiyama cooed, leaning over to pinch Hiroshi's cheeks.
Hiroshi blushed and giggled, feeling the warmth and excitement of the unfamiliar environment.
"Uramichi, your son is adorable!" Mitsuo exclaimed, his eyes lingering on the heartwarming scene before him.
Uramichi smiled, a mixture of pride and tenderness shining in his eyes. He had never imagined his family would visit him at work, but seeing them here now filled his heart with overwhelming joy.
As the show continued, Uramichi's co-hosts and the crew couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in his demeanor. The usually stoic and reserved host seemed to glow with newfound warmth and affection as he interacted with his wife and son during the breaks.
When it was time to discuss the day's topic, Uramichi took a deep breath, still grappling with how much he was willing to share with the audience. His inner conflict was evident, and his co-hosts could sense the emotional struggle he was facing.
With a supportive nod from (Y/n), Uramichi decided to be candid. "Today's topic is a tough one for me," he began, his voice wavering slightly. "But I suppose the thing I love most in life is my family."
A collective "aww" resonated through the studio as the audience melted at his heartfelt declaration. Mitsuo, Akiyama, and the crew exchanged knowing glances, realizing that Uramichi's emotional journey had taken him to a place of vulnerability.
Uramichi continued, a gentle smile on his face as he looked at (Y/n) and Hiroshi. "My wife, (Y/n), and our son, Hiroshi, they are my everything. They bring light to my darkest days and give me a reason to keep going, even when life feels overwhelming."
As he spoke, Hiroshi's eyes widened, absorbing every word his father said. The young boy's heart swelled with pride and love, realizing the depth of his father's affection for him and his mother.
Just as Uramichi finished speaking, Hiroshi couldn't contain his excitement any longer. With a burst of energy, he ran towards his father, yelling, "Daddy!"
Uramichi's eyes widened in surprise, but his heart overflowed with joy as he scooped Hiroshi into his arms, hugging him tightly.
"Daddy loves you so much, Hiroshi," Uramichi whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
"I love you too, Daddy!" Hiroshi beamed, wrapping his little arms around Uramichi's neck.
The heartwarming moment was caught on camera, and the entire crew was moved by the genuine love and connection between father and son.
As the show concluded, Uramichi thanked his co-workers and the audience for allowing him to share such a personal part of his life. He felt a newfound sense of liberation, as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
His co-hosts, Mitsuo, Akiyama, and the crew, embraced him, expressing their admiration and support. They were grateful for the chance to witness such a heartwarming family reunion and to see a side of Uramichi that they had never seen before.
In that unforgettable episode of "Together with Mama," Uramichi Omota's world expanded beyond the darkness that had plagued him for so long. With the love of his wife and son illuminating his path, he found strength and solace, realizing that there was more to life than his pessimistic outlook had allowed him to see. And as he held his precious family close, he knew that no matter how tough life got, their love would always be his guiding light.

FAMILY FORMATIONS - PART FOURTEEN
Summary: Shibuya.
CW: angst, violence, lots of it, anger, angst, blood, violence - Shibuya. Need I say more.
A/N: So this is nearly more of an experiment in writing for me so forgive how shit it is. This is gonna be the last plot-centric part for a while then we’re going back to what Family Formations does best - tooth-rotting domestic fluff <3
Recommended Listening:
Me & The Devil - Soap&Skin
Fear and Loathing - Marina
Murder in My Mind - Kordhell
GOODMORNINGTOKYO - TOKYO’S REVENGE
Scrambling – sprinting – running as fast as you can, your lungs are raw from screaming and fighting for hours now. The smell of smoke is putrid as everything collapses around you.
You felt it - Satoru’s gone.
He’s captured, you’re alone.
You had heard names whispered around.
You needed to find someone – anyone, you needed to find someone alive, the hordes of transformed people had been pushed to you by Mei Mei – your claws and fangs show no signs of retracting now they’re all dead. There’s too much adrenaline coursing through your body for you to slow down or properly comprehend anything that happened – or even feel the slash bleeding down your back. You can’t concentrate long enough to transform with your technique into something faster or with better vision.
The shouts of your husband’s defeat and imprisonment resonated through your skull and just wouldn’t quiet down. Hope felt like it was slipping through the cracks caused by Sukuna’s rampage in the pavement. You had the blood of several hundred on your body – your feral technique and anger and grief over the loss of your husband and fear for your loved ones transformed into sheer rage as you slashed and twisted and tore your way through the curses littering the station which were blocking civilians exit. You knew you’d saved thousands of lives single-handedly that night.
But you’d lost.
Noritoshi Kamo and Miwa had somehow ended up with you through everything, and you followed a signal from the airborne Momo and simultaneously you and Kamo notched arrows with a view of Mai and a sniper rifle in the distance.
Just as you turned to loose your arrow.
You saw him.
A walking ghost.
The bow and arrow dropped as Kamo loosed his arrow and Mai made her shot.
But no sound of weapon art would drown out the ragged scream your body released.
Frozen in place you watched events unfold like you were in a dream. So this was how they got Satoru.
You walked forward into the clearing. You suddenly felt 17 again.
“Oniisan?”
The body turned to you.
He moved like him. He looked like him. He spoke like him.
But it wasn’t him.
“Ah! Welcome to the fray, it’s been a long time hasn’t it, little Dryad? What was it I called you? Oneesan?” The body asked.
“It wasn’t you who called me that. It’s was Suguru Geto. You – you are someone else. You have taken and defiled my best friends corpse and imprisoned my husband. I will kill you, you sick fuck!”
“You certainly have the spirit and temper of the women of your family. Your great great grandmother was very similar.” He easily deflected your arrow before sidestepping the vines grasping for his ankles.
That gives you pause – great great grandmother?
But before you could move another muscle, the man is turning away and you’re being dragged away by Utahime as you thrash against her.
“Greetings, Choso.”
A tall, broad man clad in purple has entered the clearing. Who is this?
“Ah, it appears you have noticed.” Pseudo-Geto says to the newcomer.
The rage coming from this Choso rivals your own – but it’s directed at your apparent common enemy.
“NORITOSHI KAMO!” He screams and simultaneously all (modern) heads whip to look in shock at the 17 year old Kamo heir, seeing the surprise on his own face.
You stop thrashing away from Utahime’s grasp and stare at her.
“Utahime if that’s Kamo – then…” you say.
“The thing inside Geto is over 150 years old!”
You’d read many accounts of the blight on the Kamo Clan, the most nefarious sorcerer to exist.
“How dare you try to make me kill my little brother Yuuji Itadori?!” This Choso screams.
Wait, what?
And before you know it Choso is fighting tooth and nail for Yuuji and you’re sure of your theory – he is also a Kamo, but he must be one of the death painting wombs that Noritoshi Kamo created. Noritoshi is his father, but how is Yuuji related? He’s not a Kamo. But, if… no, that’s crazy. If Noritoshi had been surviving by moving body to body, then maybe - it’s true. A death painting womb has blood connections to its siblings, so Choso would know. You’re grateful you paid attention in cursed object theory in high school.
And speak of the devil, beside you, beside Panda – is Yuuji. You scream his name and he looks to you and you almost cry in relief he’s alive. He’s badly injured and there’s something hollow in his eyes. Yet, now is no time for reunions.
Panda moves to attack but before any of you can make a move to retrieve the prison realm holding your husband and father of you children, a wave of ice encases your allies. Your body had protected itself subconsciously by wrapping yourself in your sunbeam technique – making you too hot for ice to approach.
Opening your eyes, only yourself Yuuji, Momo, and Choso were not frozen.
“You could try calling me big brother once you know?” You hear Choso say as you approach the duo.
“Take this seriously!” Yuuji replies.
“Yuuji! I think he might be right! I’ll explain later – we have to get Satoru!” You unfurl the tendrils of ivy from your hair and begin to focus.
But once again – you don’t get a chance.
Because in front of you stands your saving Grace – the woman you idolised since childhood.
“It’s been a while, Geto, can I get your answer from before? What kind of girls are you into?”
Yuki Tsukomo – one of the four other special grade sorcerers apart from yourself.
You ran to Yuuji, checking him for damage.
“Y/N. I’m –” he starts to say before you hush him and press a kiss to the top of your head, shaking your head because you can’t handle him apologising now - you’re too raw.
Yuki was stalling Geto. You didn’t know why, but you trusted her.
A rumble hit the ground and you finally tuned into the conversation despite your ringing ears.
“I’ve marked people as vessels, non sorcerers given abilities. Many have been in a deep slumber since I chose them, but as of this moment - they’ve awoken.”
Deep slumber? Cursed? Oh god. Please, not her too.
“Are you listening Sukuna? The Heian age has returned!” Geto shouts, gleeful and proud as hundreds of cursed spirits emerge from him, spirits Geto has absorbed through the years.
He reaches his arm into his sleeve, and produces a box. A cube. Covered in eyes, big, shining blue eyes held by your son Akio – inherited by
“Satoru!”
“Gojo-sensei!”
And with that he is gone.
Your first instinct now that he’s gone – your son. Where is Megumi? You sprint around, shaking shoulders of everyone you know – desperate to locate your son.
Utahime approaches you.
“Iori! Have you seen Megumi? I have to find him. Satoru – he –” she pulls you into her chest, still smelling like the perfume you bought her for Christmas.
“Y/N. Listen to me. I don’t know where he is, but you have to listen.” The panicked look in your eyes made you looked crazed. She hadn’t seen this side of you since the Star Plasma Vessel incident.
“Y/N. Satoru has been named an enemy of the jujutsu society and a law has been made that he must stay sealed. Y/N, you’re counted in that. The elders want you dead, they say you and Gojo were conspiring with Geto. Yaga has been arrested, he’s been sentenced to death – for inciting the violence. The stay on Itadori’s execution has been lifted - he’s to be executed on sight, Yuuta Okkutsu has been named his executioner.” She steadies you, keeping you upright.
Your face changes from fear to anger.
“Y/N, we will get Gojo out. For now, you need to find Megumi, and get Yuuji and get out of Shibuya. Get Akio away, hide him. Okay? We’ll get him out Y/N.” She says.
You pull her into your chest.
“Thank you, Utahime. I love you.” You say. Your face has turned to stone. The warrior in you has returned and you’re currently planning your next move. You turn away, whipping out your phone. The veil is down and you can call your mother.
“Momma listen, I’m okay. You need to listen to me. I don’t have long. Satoru has been captured, by Noritoshi Kamo - he’s in the Prison Realm (your mom screams), him and I have been named traitors because Kamo is in the body of Suguru Geto. Mom, please, just let me talk – I don’t have – momma! They want to kill the kid, sukuna’s vessel, I need to find Megumi. Tsumiki, I think she’s part of Kamo’s plan. Yaga is to be executed – our allies are hurt or dead. I don’t know where most people are. I think most are dead. You need to get Akio out of the country. Take him - don’t tell me where. It’s not safe for me to know. Keep him hidden, and keep him safe. In my jewellery box is a baby bracelet – put it on him and he and you will be untraceable. Whatever you need – talk to Gojo’s uncle, he’s at the estate. I love you, I love Akio – please let me talk to him.”
The phone is passed to your toddler son.
“Hi baby boy,” you are trying so hard not to cry, you have to hold it together.
“Mama! Hi mama! Nana momma and papa working!”
“Yeah baby, momma and papa are working – you go with nana okay? Going on an adventure. Akio, I love you so much, my beautiful little boy - you’re our angel and papa loves you so very much too. I have to go help Megumi okay? I love you baby, be good for nana.” You let out a sob, resolve cracking.
“Momma – I gotta go. I’m going to fix this. I’m going to keep everyone safe.” And with that you hung up.
You take a deep breath and grip your arm, the vines tattooed with Satoru, Megumi, Tsumiki and Akio lacing in elegant letters through the leaves reminding you why you’re still standing.
You stand for them.
You shake your head, focus, Y/N. Save your babies.
Yuuji. You have to find him. He’ll know where Megumi is. Wait, where’s Nobara? Toge? Maki?
You walk into the direction you saw Yuuji leave, and you see a pink shock of hair beside a head adorned with two spiky buns.
Yuuji – and Choso.
They’re sitting on the steps.
You sprint to him.
“Yuuji! Where is he? Where’s Megumi? Are you hurt? Are you okay?”
His jaw is tense.
“He – he used Mahoraga, Y/N. I –” you collapse on the ground. That was suicide.
“No! He’s alive! I promise, but Sukuna – he saved him. He’s plotting something with Fushiguro. He’s badly injured, but alive.” You fling your arms around him and feel Yuuji wilt in your arms.
“Y/N. Nobara – she, I don’t know if she’s alive. Sukuna, me, he killed so many people, it’s all my fault. But I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry I couldn’t – Nanamin, he’s, he’s dead.” He croaks into your neck, his mentor killed in front of him and he’s apologising to you.
Hearing Akio’s godfather was dead, best man at your wedding, star of every Thursdays Kooking With Kento at your home as you made dinner together. You felt a fresh wave of sobs and you let them escape. Later, you’d mourn later.
“You did everything you could, Yuuji, it’s okay. You brave, brave boy. You’re not at fault. You’re so strong.” He pulled himself from your grip and wiped his eyes.
You saw Choso, from the corner of your eye. He stood, sheepishly and curiously watching the exchange.
“I need to find Megumi – but Yuuji, you need to come with me. The execution order has been brought up and I’m a wanted woman. We need to get away from here.” You look at him.
The sound of footsteps crushing the debris echoes through the empty street.
“Well well well, it must be my lucky day. The traitorous harlot and Sukuna’s rampaging vessel served to me on a platter. What honour the head of the Zen’in clan will bring to society by killing you both.”
That voice. That grating fucking voice.
How many days had you spent since childhood fighting with the owner of that fucking voice.
“Naoya Zen’in. You lecherous cunt. Here to revel in the death and misery like the reaper you are?”
You spit out at him, pushing Yuuji behind you.
“See – bitch. This is why I never liked you. God, you’re beautiful – such a goddess among women and you’ve already proven yourself fertile with the Gojo brat but your issue is your mouth. Such a shame, a waste of a perfect breeding bitch if you ask me: perfect body, pretty face, esteemed lineage, powerful technique but you just can’t shut that whore mouth can you?” He leers, eyeing your body like meat.
Your snarl in response makes even Choso grimace.
“If you just learned to be a nice girl, sit still and just look pretty – then I’d have married you in an instant. You’d be a pleasure to knock some kids into, just all that temper and ego. Oh well, your protectors gone now, so you’re fair game to kill. I’m now head of the Zen’in family –”
“God Naoya, you really never got smarter did you? Even after all those years in school you’re still a dense bastard. You’re not the Zen’in Clan head, if Naobito is dead – which I’m guessing he is, good riddance I say, and Satoru Gojo is dead or in any way incapacitated – Megumi Fushiguro will be named head of the clan, as per the deal made with Toji.” You smirk, knowing you’ve the upper hand here.
He clicks his tongue. His displeasure is palpable.
“Such a smart mouth. Of course that’s the case, but, I’m going to kill Itadori and you, and then – it would hardly come to fruition if Megumi Fushiguro was dead now, would it?” He smirks.
And that was the flash lit to the powder keg.
“Oh Naoya, I’ve wanted to beat the ever living fuck out of you for so long – you sexist prick.” And with that, years of rage renewed by threats against you and your kids, and insults to your family kick you into 6th gear.
“Yuuji Itadori, I have been appointed your executioner and I am here to put you to death.” A familiar voice calls out from above.
Yuuta.
God, he’s grown. Several inches taller, his hairs shorter and he looks so healthy. He’s filled out, almost 19 now. Not a boy anymore, but a man.
A man, who is trying to kill the boy you’re shielding.
“Step aside, Gojo-San.” He calls as him jumps down from the bridge.
“Ah, you must be Okkotsu. I’m here for the Gojo whore - I’ll leave the vessel to you. I propose an alliance, given our common goals.”
The ringing in your ears returned, surely, Yuuta wouldn’t kill Yuuji? He’d promised Satoru.
He’d promised to protect him if anything happened.
Why would he do this? This wasn’t Yuuta.
Wait – no. It’s not Yuuta. Yuuta is honest, and true to his word. He is also smart and will one day surpass both you and Satoru in talent.
“I’m afraid, I must ask you again to step aside Gojo-San.”
Yuuta never called you that, he just called you Y/N.
“I made a promise to those I respect and trust. I must keep my promises.” Yuuta looks at you.
He doesn’t mean the elders.
He means you and Satoru.
He’s praying to anyone that you’ll understand.
“Yuuji Itadori must die.” Reversed Curse Technique.
You squeeze Yuuji’s hand.
“We can defeat them. Choso – stick with me. Yuuji, you’re with Okkotsu.” As you turn – you whisper ‘trust me’ into Yuuji’s ear. Choso and Yuuji together would hinder the plan, so you needed Choso to stick with you.
You needed to get Choso angry.
“Naoya, you’d forsake your brothers just for power?”
And with that, the thought of fratricidal tendencies – Choso was off. With Naoyo distracted by Choso, you nod at Yuuta – giving him your go ahead. You trusted this man with your life, and the lives of everyone around you. He wouldn’t fail you.
You turned to your personal mission.
“Naoya Zen’in! Too scared to fight me? Scared you’ll lose to a girl?” You shout at him, you didn’t need your bow for this – you tossed it to the side. Fangs and claws and vines weaving out of you. You wanted to do this up close and personal.
And with that you, Choso and Naoya were a flurry of blood red, forest green and shadows. There was no way either of you would match his speed – but that’s okay. It was two versus one and you quickly found out that you and choso fought incredibly well side by side.
Naoya’s continued taunts only fuel your fury. He wants to kill your son. He would kill Megumi just for a title. He had bullied and threatened the women of the sorcery world for so long that all of this was something you could not allow to continue.
Naoya Zen’in has to die.
Choso has him pinned, poisoned by his own blood. You grab your daggers, from where they are holstered on your thighs.
You stand above him.
“Choso – go to your brother.” You say.
And he does. Leaving you and a fatally injured Naoya laying on the ground.
“The women of the world will sing praises of your death, Zen’in and I will forever be proud that it was made you sent you to hell. Let this be a lesson. Don’t touch my fucking kids.”
And with that, you sent a dagger through his temple. A quick death. More than he deserved.
You move to where you sense the boys you’re with. Their energy is heavy.
Choso is standing beside Yuuji, a scene you expected. A fire lit, Yuuta sitting on one side, Yuuji laying – covered in blood but recovering on the other.
“Ballsy move, Yuuta.”
All heads turn to you, and Yuuta stands and you wrap him in a hug.
“I knew you’d understand. I couldn’t risk fighting you too – this was the only way. Thank you, Y/N.”
“No, Yuuta. Thank you. You kept your promise to Satoru and I’m eternally grateful.” You squish him into you. Why are all your kids so much taller than you?
Turning to the brothers.
“Thank you, Yuuji. For trusting me. I’m sorry that this had to happen. But Satoru had contingencies in place for an event such as this.” You say, Yuuji’s haunted eyes look up to you.
“I always trust you, and Gojo Sensei. Dying isn’t fun – but if it’ll keep everyone safe then I’ll do what I need to do.” You stand beside him.
“You’re as good as a son to me Yuuji. You’re safe as long as the Gojo’s are here. This guy too, apparently.” You say, nudging Choso.
“The man in the street?” He asks.
“Dead.” You reply.
“I am sorry for the part I played in your husband’s imprisonment.” He says, facing you.
“You protected Yuuji, and saved us both. We both share the commitment to fight for our families - we’re gonna be really good friends Choso Kamo.” And the death painting womb is exceptionally confused by the way you wrap your arms around his chest and squeeze, but he returns the ‘hug’ and feels a sense of peace.
As you pull away, you’re glad to be beside Choso and Yuuta – the days event seem to have caught up to you. You lose your footing and the world swirls around you. You’ve used so much cursed energy today.
Satoru - he’s gone. Who knows where.
Faced a ghost.
Sent your son off to a place that you can’t know.
Learned your adopted daughter is cursed and a tool in a war.
Had to let a boy you trust kill another boy you love.
Defended your son to the point of killing.
And lost a fuck lot of blood from the wound your adrenaline had helped you ignore.
“I’m okay – I just, Choso can you use your blood manipulation to stop the bleeding? Im guessing your reversed out, Yuuta?” The boys fuss over you and when you feel stable – you turn to Yuuji – a crying mess of a shell of a boy.
You scramble and pull him into you.
“I’m here, you’re safe. I’m so sorry Yuuji. For everything.” You croon.
“I killed so many people. I deserve the death penalty. Sukuna came out and it was a bloodbath.”
Yuuta sat down too.
“You aren’t to blame.” Yuuta says. Decidedly sure in his voice.
Just as the boy goes to respond, a voice sounds out.
“Itadori. What are you doing? Let’s head back to Jujutsu High.”
“Fushiguro.”
“MEGUMI!”
He hadn’t spotted you behind Choso’s imposing frame.
“Mom! I thought – I thought you were gone too. I thought - you’d go for him. Shit, I thought they had you too.” He stumbles into your arms and you collapse holding him.
“God I was so worried I’d lost you. I couldn’t find you anywhere.” You say.
“Megumi. You know don’t you?” You say, brushing his hair from his face.
“Tsumiki.” He says, face grave.
You’re distracted by counting the cuts on Megumi’s face, you vaguely hear talking.
“So start by saving me, Itadori.” Now you’re listening.
“Noritoshi Kamo has made plans for those involved with Jujutsu to face off in a Culling Game.” Megumi claims,
“And Tsumiki is ensnared in that. So I’m begging you, Itadori. I need your strength.”
Yuuji can never say no to Megumi. God you hope these two get their happy ending.
“Like hell am I letting you boys go in alone.”
“Mom – it’s not safe. Akio –” Megumi immediately rejects this.
“Akio is safe, don’t forget who you’re speaking to boys. I might be your mom – but I am also Y/N of the Y/L/N clan. I’m the first person to hold my technique in 600 years - I’m the head of my clan. A special grade sorcerer. Wife of the strongest sorcerer alive and mother of the head of the Zen’in clan. There is no woman more influential or strong as me alive. Today, I nearly lost most of my kids, all but one of my best friends are dead and the other is back from the grave, my husband was taken, my eldest son used a technique he knew would kill him and then sorcery’s biggest bully came to execute both of my sons – and I responded by stabbing a dagger through his skull. Do not underestimate me, boys.”
“Megumi – putting all of that aside. I have 3 children. One is hidden, and safe – the other two are being sent into a death match. I vowed to protect you all with my life. That is what I’m doing. You – are my son, and I am always by your side.” You clutch his burned cheek in your palm. Pressing a kiss to his temple. A part of you is nostalgic for the days you didn’t feel any stubble on those soft cheeks – just baby soft skin. He wanted to protect you now, but no matter how grown they get - you’re still their momma.
You stand up, holding his hand – and gesture to the boys to do the same.
“Where are we going, Y/N?” Yuuji asks.
“We’re going to get my fucking husband out of that box and end this shitshow, let’s go boys.”

I still am struggling to do homework and get a bunch of basic duties done on time (or at all). Though, in watching how other people get themselves to do their work, I think I've learned two things that might help me accomplish a little more.
...Repeatedly. Over and over. I've known both of these things for almost my whole life; this isn't anything new. I'm just making a post because of a funny way I got reminded of these things a few months ago.
Anyway -- first, hard-working people have discipline and they practice delayed gratification (a phrase I despise, because in practice it feels like denied gratification, up until the task is done. It doesn't feel "delayed" at all. But I digress). And second, a lot of them maintain interest even when not working. They care about their field of work outside of just work.
And that second part intrigues me -- you don't have to spend so much energy shifting mental gears if your work and leisure occupy similar niches (well, some of your leisure).
Finally, the story from a few months ago, which is why I'm posting this obvious wisdom in the first place -- I was watching an anime called Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan, which is a sitcom about burned-out adult actors in a live-action children's show. They struggle to maintain in-character optimism in front of the kids and often insert a bunch of hilariously depressing asides into their lines; yadda yadda, that's the main appeal of the show. But despite their exhaustion, at the end of the day, they still have good relationships with their coworkers and child audiences, and motivate themselves to come into work day after day.
What stuck out to me personally was that, in one scene, they all hung out at one coworker's apartment to watch their own program air on television, after it had gone through post-production. That was them hanging out: watching the fruits of their labors on-screen.
And watching this idea of "do work-adjacent stuff in your leisure time" take place in a cynical-humor anime was more memorable than months of hearing my physics professors chat with each other about the latest colloquiums and science news.
----
P.S. This was the most memorable and interesting recent experience that taught me to, for lack of better wording, like what I do. But it is not the most influential. Years of watching my professors and other mentor figures, and fellow students and other peers, is far more influential. This post-script note is my disclaimer about that. At the end of the day, I don't want to say "one-time entertainment is more impactful on worldviews than repeated real-world experience." That's the kind of mindset that encourages staying online for "just one more deep meme" instead of going outside and doing/enjoying mundane reality.
That's kind of what the whole point of this post was, really; make sure to try and enjoy the things you have to do. Try to enjoy being offline, working, striving. ...and I'll try to follow this advice myself.

Fun fluffy animes that I loved
This is basically a list of animes that helps get over or deal with the trauma inflicted by various animes. At the moment, I guess fellow JJK fans might need this, and prolly AOT fans on November 5. Have fun watching
Haikyuu
Short Synopsis: Determined to be like the volleyball championship's star player nicknamed "the small giant", Shoyo joins his school's volleyball club.
Episodes: 85 + 5 OVA
The worst thing that can possibly happen is either the 3rd year students graduating or you being unable to support a specific team (nah cuz bro how do you pick and root for one? I end up being happy for the team that won and depressed for the team that lost)
Two movies are coming up soon
Highschool Babysitters
Synopsis: After the sudden death of their parents on a plane crash, two young brothers named Ryūichi Kashima (a freshman in high school) and his younger brother Kotarō (a preschooler) are left orphaned and having no place to call home. The chairwoman of the prestigious Morinomiya Academy offers to take the boys into her care, giving them a new house and free tuition, on the condition that Ryuichi helps out with the school's daycare center while also attending normal classes during school hours.
Episodes: 12 + 1 OVA
Note: Plane crash seems sad but trust me, its only mentioned in the first episode, and the rest 11 is just fluffy goodness. Nothing can prepare you for the cuteness.
Cells At Work
Synopsis: One newcomer red blood cell just wants to do her job. Between bacteria incursions and meeting a certain white blood cell, she's got a lot to learn.
Episodes: 31 + 7
A good mix of science and entertainment. The episodes dont have to be watched in any specific order.
Mr. Osomatsu
Synopsis: The everyday lives of identical sextuplets who cause mischief.
Episodes: 75 + special eps + movies
Has a good amount of 18+ jokes, but its not too overwhelming. It doesnt necessarily follow a plot, and each episode is usually two different stories combined. So, skipping episodes should be fine. Also, it features very popular voice actors for the sextuplets (Geto's VA, Gojo's VA, Levi's VA, Koro sensei's VA, Erwin's VA and Haku/ Sugawara's VA), Iyami (Obanai Iguro's VA), Totoko (Shoko's VA)
The Vampire Dies in No Time
Synopsis: The story follows the famed vampire hunter, Ronaldo, who receives a job to destroy the supposedly invincible vampire lord Draluc and rescue a human boy he allegedly kidnapped.
Episodes: 24
Note: Its a hit or miss, the running gag is used constantly and gets tiring at times, but the overall anime is a good watch. I personally loved John the Armadillo
Buddy Daddies
Synopsis: Assassins Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa meet Miri, a girl looking for her father on Christmas Day. Kazuki, Rei, and Miri unexpectedly end up living together.
Episodes: 12
May get dark at times, so I wont guarantee that itll be a smooth sail, but we get a wholesome conclusion so you can count on that! Otherwise VERY fluffy
Blue Lock
Synopsis: High school soccer players from across Japan gather for a controversial project designed to create the best and most egoistic striker in the world.
Episodes: 24
Isnt exactly true football, but yeah. The anime is pretty fine. It doesnt exactly go under the fluffy anime like i mentioned in the title, but you can check it out if you want.
Free!!
Synopsis: The story is centered on high school student Haruka Nanase, a gifted swimmer. After encountering his childhood rival, Rin Matsuoka from Samezuka Academy, he and his friends revitalize Iwatobi High School's swim team.
Episodes: 37 + specials and movies
This anime to me, personally is what haikyuu is. A great comfort anime which knows how to make the viewer connect with the characters. I dislike it when the whole anime gets reduced to just fanservice, like guys lets look beyond that and actually enjoy the plot.
Life Lessons With Uramichi Oniisan
Synopsis: From smoking and exercising to nihilistic outbursts, everyone's big brother Uramichi always brings up the not-so-moral side to his life lessons
Episodes: 13
This one is very real and relatable in many levels. Theres a lot of screenshots and panels available online, so you can check a few out before watching!
Obey Me
Synopsis: Brothers Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan, Satan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor are among the most powerful demons in the Devildom, serving as officers on the student council at the Royal Academy of Diavolo (RAD). However, being avatars of the seven deadly sins, their behaviors often tend toward the extreme. Their everyday antics belie their high status and fearsome reputations among others of their kind. When viewed behind the scenes, the members of this family are more lovable—and laughable—than they first seem!
Episodes: 24 + 1
It's based on a popular otome game, and can be watched as it is even if you havent played the game. The basic idea is that theyre based on the 7 sins, so their personalities are really amusing. As for the plot, its pretty wholesome.
Play It Cool Guys
Synopsis: Despite their distinctive personalities, Souma Shiki, Hayate Ichikura, Shun Futami, and Takayuki Mima all have one thing in common: though naturally clumsy, the four disguise their embarrassment from tiny slip-ups by maintaining a composed demeanor. However, it is actually the guys' airheaded natures that makes the girls' hearts throb. No matter what happens in their daily lives, the boys do their best not to lose their cool!
Episodes: 24
Each episode is barely 10-13 minutes, so it just doesnt feel enough lol. Most of their slip ups are relatable and could get a chuckle from the viewer. The art style is a little different but its good. Definitely worth watching, once or even multiple times.
Tanaka Kun is Always Listless
Synopsis: For high school student Tanaka, the act of being listless is a way of life. Known for his inattentiveness and ability to fall asleep anywhere, Tanaka prays that each day will be as uneventful as the last, seeking to preserve his lazy lifestyle however he can by avoiding situations that require him to exert himself. Along with his dependable friend Oota who helps him with tasks he is unable to accomplish, the lethargic teenager constantly deals with events that prevent him from experiencing the quiet and peaceful days he longs for.
Episodes: 13 + specials
Not gonna lie, Ive wanted to act like Tanaka. The characters are lovable and the anime is worth giving a try. An underrated gem. I personally loved the school festival episode.
@satoruukisser hope this helps!

before you read this i'm writing this as a filipino
characters actively referring to older siblings as big brother/sister when speaking to them is inaccurate because, culturally, that's not a natural thing to do when you speak english.
on the other hand, when speaking in tagalog, it feels incredibly awkward not to use kuya/ate (or manong/manang in some cases and in other philippine languages) on an older sibling or your friend's older sibling, though the term also widely applies to highschool upperclassmen, guards at school and mall entrances, stall clerks, jeepney drivers, etc.
now, if i'm writing a filipino story in english (for the sake of a wider audience and partially my sanity) i'm not fucking translating that into big brother/sister because it almost feels like removing too much. we're english speakers too, so a full english sentence with kuya or ate thrown in the mix happens regularly. we are not calling those bitches big brother/sister lmao
that's why i believe japanese characters with their dialogue in english should keep stuff like oniisan/oneesan and senpai (as well as the more general and common ones like -san, because it gives a bit of insight on how the characters see each other). like, terms whose english translations work fine can just be in english (i.e. mr./ms./mrs. for teachers & dr. for doctors instead of sensei). but when i keep a few terms untranslated it's because it genuinely holds some cultural weight that the english translation doesn't carry over and turns awkward instead!
it just really upsets me to see the sibling honorifics getting memed on and given sexual connotations just because the internet is so much more interested in how they were used in another ecchi or something. like, that's a term regular people use on the daily. i know american translators probably don't have the insight of another non-japanese culture which utilizes sibling honorifics, so deciding to opt for big brother/sister or just the characters' given names happens, but i get the feeling it's partially caused and/or maintained by internet stigma.
it was embarrassing to notice how hypocritical filipinos also make the same stupid oniichan jokes while we still actively use kuya and manong but that's exactly how i caught on. this shit's still about looking at japan weird and refusing to dismantle that mindset
