AITA for accusing my friend of using their neurodivergence to be an asshole?

I (22F) have been diagnosed with ADHD for over 10 years. My friend (22F) recently self diagnosed herself with ADHD and had a complete personality overhaul and started acting ditzy. She used to be reserved and meticulous, and now she’s started interrupting people whenever she gets the chance to talk about unrelated things, and forgetting her keys / other items which she never had a problem with before.

I’m not going to lie idc if she actually has ADHD or not because I’ve known her closely for 4 years and she’s quite capable of not being a dick to people when we’re talking. The straw that broke my back is when I was venting to my roommate about my aunt passing away and this friend interrupted the conversation to show me a TIKTOK very forcibly. I told her not right now and she kept being like “no just watch it it’s only a minute here watch it on my phone”. I yelled at her for this and she went “I can’t help it, it’s my hyperfixation”.

Maybe I was an asshole here but I essentially snapped back and told her that even so, it’s rude to interrupt people when they’re talking and she said I “just didn’t get it” because I’m “not neurodivergent”. Which is so funny to me because I’ve literally 1) been professionally diagnosed and 2) have been open about having ADHD to the point where I have gotten extra time / homework extensions in classes we SHARED so there was no way she didn’t know because I clearly remember her asking me why I missed dinner post-exams multiple times (I was still taking them).

The argument went on and I told her that yeah, ADHD sucks, but that doesn’t mean she can use it as an excuse to be an asshole and she called me ableist for it and said that just because I “mask” doesn’t mean she has to. It pisses me off because my entire life I’ve been bullied for being an annoying freak bc of my ADHD and yeah maybe I’m internally ableist or whatever but it really feels like she’s purposefully acting out of line and then when she’s called out backpedaling into “oh I can’t help it” when she clearly could for many years.

Dean’s list of sins is crazy long because of how long the show ran, but the key thing for me is that post-locking Sam in the bunker (season 4 I think?), I just can’t enjoy their relationship anymore. I normally love their sibling dynamic, but Dean’s ultimate worst past-the-point-of-no-return moment for me was demonizing (pun intended) his little brother for being “addicted” to demon blood, which only happened because of a series of events that were either Dean’s or someone else’s fault, not Sam’s. I also really dislike how the fandom treats Dean like this angel (pun intended) who has done no wrong and even tries to justify the MULTIPLE times he’s beaten up and otherwise abused his little brother. Canon Dean is like the polar opposite of fanon Dean: he’s homophobic and racist (jokes about a Black man being sexually assaulted in prison), misogynistic (take a shot every time he calls a woman a slur and you’ll die of alcohol poisoning), and abusive.

You wanna know what genuinely makes my blood boil?

How whenever I talk about my negative views on relationships and how I have the constant belief that everyone hates me and is secretly talking shit about me, people tell me that "oh you're invalidating my feelings! " "I'm not a bad friend" "You're being a dick!"

Yet when I call out someone for invalidating how I fell, I get told that it's not invalidating and that I'm the one making this an issue, and it just- AUUGGHHHHHH!!!

It also pisses me off how people can act the exact same way and not get shit for it whatsoever, but when I act like that, all of a sudden I'm a bad friend who's selfish?? FUCK THAT!

idc if some of these people have good intentions or not. If you tell me that you care for me and love me, and then turn around and get mad at me for still having negative views on my friendships, that is not "love", you're just being ableist.

It feels a lot like people are targeting ME specifically because I happen to have BPD, and idk if i'm overreacting or not but that really says something about these people's actual views on BPD.

I hate how people also expect me to be able to control those feelings, like genuinely what the ACTUAL fuck...

Someone can give all of their time an attention for the rest of their lives, and yet I will STILL perceive them ignoring me or their tone changing one day as a sign of them hating me, that is how my brain works.

I feel like people forget that one of the main symptoms of BPD is an instability in relationships, and that also comes with an unstable perception of those relationships. IT'S ONE OF TH MAIN CRITERIA FOR FUCK SAKE!!! It also comes hand-in-hand with paranoia too, which makes it worse because once you get into the thought, it's difficult to snap out of it.
