Cracked theory/Headcannon SPOILERS TO LAST CHRISTMAS

I have somewhat a cracked theory or head canon (Could be false but fun to think about).

Jaden could be the reason why it took awhile for Lilliana to get pregnant.

So apparently Verlyn/Jaden is the God of Creation and Healing.

Keyword: CREATION

He may not be God of Childbirth because that implies a safe delivery of both child and mother.

No, I think Jaden can help with the Conception of a Child hence CREATION.

And since Caleb was the only one of his sons who got married at his temple at Lilliana's request, making Jaden aware of Lilliana.

And since Jaden probably has trauma of Gods and Demons screwing over him and his family line.

He took precaution and stalled that baby because of his paranoia.

Sad but Funny in a way.

So yeah that's what I believe, honestly I could be wrong.

Enjoyed Caleb's Story it was a fun read.

Jaden's family are honestly my favorites.

"i'm failing her," he said softly. "i can keep her safe from demons and angels or other monsters but there's nothing i can do about the hunters." they won't stop until they're eradicated yet he'd made sure that nothing could kill them. he can't be here 24/7 and it ate him up inside. he's fully aware of the debt he owes Elijah and it's that which he addresses now. "thank you for being there."

The vampire nodded briefly. He was tired. He hadn't really slept for a few days and even if it wasn't absolutely necessary for vampires, he could feel the strength leaving him. Human blood helped, but not everything was possible to compensate for and Elijah didn't know the last time he'd been hunting... should he dare?

„Please call me if you have any problems. I can be back here right away.“ He and Caleb were whispering, so the man slowly rose from his chair and took one last look at Ana. Her breathing was calm, she was fast asleep. Then he left the room with Caleb. Elijah said goodbye and walked out of the door. He desperately needed blood. 

It was like a thunderstorm that broke over him when he got back to the flat. Caleb was covered in blood, his clothes literally sticking to him. Since Ana was safe, even if her sleep was restless, the vampire took care of Caleb for the time being. The blood that was on him didn't belong to him, so that was secondary. The vampire helped the other to his feet and helped him to the sofa. It could be reupholstered if the blood didn't come out. He sank down next to him.

„She means something to me,“ Elijah confessed. When he was with Ana, it was nice. It was different. It helped him. But even he was powerless over what had happened here. Demons and other creatures that he first had to get to know. „You have to teach me the weaknesses of demons. If you're not here, I need to be able to take them out.“ His voice was quiet, but sounded serious.

"you made me look like i was sleepin' on the job." kinda makes him a little weary but we're not letting that show. nah. it's all good. okay not for the dead guy here. but for the two of them? s'alright.

(corner booth. keep the refills comin'. thanks ma'am.) the good news, it was so late that it had only been frank and caleb -- and the staff hanging behind the scenes, now cowering behind counters. the bad news, the windows were shot and a bullet managed to graze his thigh as he tugged his friend behind the counter with him for cover. ❝ why is it every time i'm around ya, i either get plastered or shot? ❞ he questions, half-grin taking over his features as he reaches behind his back for his hand gun -- sliding it over for the other to take.

Elijah listened intently to the brief explanation of why bats and bees were so interesting, even though Caleb offered little insight into the field of interest. He accepted it for now, but kept the thought in the back of his mind. At some point, the information was probably important.

He finally nodded off the conversation about his blood. He knew enough spells that worked with blood and he had a lot to offer. He trusted Caleb enough that he wouldn't mess around with it. Since Elijah didn't have a knife to hand at the moment, he had no choice but to bite his wrist. The veins under his eyes turned black and his vampire fangs extended. His fangs dug into his flesh, opening the flow of blood to the outside. He held out his hand to Caleb.

„Take as much as you need.“ Did he think it was a strange sight? Elijah found it hard to judge. It was so common for him to bite his own wrist, or someone else's, that he did it without hesitation. It would have been the same with a knife.

       to someone who didn't know him well, it might have seemed like he was joking. they aren't quite there yet so it wasn't a surprise if the vampire assumed he was mocking him. thing is, he wasn't. he was completely serious and had even drawn up plans for both passions, setting them on the backburner for when he has more time to devote to them. same with the music pages that have been left half-finished on his piano stand.       to the question he gives a shrug, lacking the right words to explain why he'd want such a thing. "i think they're fascinating and i'd love the chance to observe them up close." he knew bats and bees aren't for everyone yet that only added to their appeal in his mind.      who doesn't love the unconventional?         altruistic. not quite the word he'd use. to him it's a  selfish interest because if she was safe then he had no weaknesses to worry about. neither of them can be killed and if she's in danger then he loses his focus and that won't be good for anybody. if protecting her is a common interest they can both agree on, he's willing to do whatever it takes.        "ah yes..that. it's mostly meant as a barrier to keep out anyone who isn't welcome. i already have wards set up but this one works a bit like how vampires have to be invited in and your blood is your invite so to speak."               he'd been well-taught in making sigils long ago and this one would only allow those with the blood required to make the sigil active. since he and Ana share the same blood, all he needed now was a drop of Elijah's and it's as good as done. the only question left is whether or not to tell her about it and what her reaction would be.
