i felt like they really did a good job coming back from having caleb be the butt of a lot of jokes for the past 6 seasons. that doesn't excuse them making him the butt of these jokes, but i think that big mouth in general does do a good job of changing their presentation as they realize that they've made mistakes (such as the change in actor for missy's character). i hope we get to see more of him in season 8<3

big mouth season 7 had like. genuinely the most authentic, respectful, and well-done autistic representation I’ve seen all year. i know most people hate this show so you guys are going to have to take my word for it

BIG MOUTH SEASON 7 SPOILER WARNING

Okay but can we talk about Mathew and Caleb for a second and how they were played in season 7 because AHHHH I love them.

I hate Mathew for abandoning Caleb when he was checking the escape exit but the way he checked up on him when he saw Caleb panicking in the cafeteria and kinda comforted him had my heart. With the way Caleb reacted to the comfort to made it seem like to me its happened before and how Mathew apologized. EEEEE

Also Caleb being sad that Mathew wont do the school news in high school and not being able to process it. Them having the smallest argument about it. Caleb saying how that's the only time they talk and Mathew making the call to meet up for coffee once a week except for the third week of the month.

And how Caleb changed his whole plan that he worked on to try and become Mathews best friend with the help of logic rock and I love his mom for encouraging him though his backpack breaking broke my heart and him being stressed was so accurate.

I also love how Mathew asked for the shop lights to be turned down and paid the girls to leave so Caleb could feel safe in the store. Even helping him find an okay backpack.

I love them.

All of these moments were so fucking cute and I need season 8 immediately.

I really feel like Mathew is his person like he does seem happy around him and I may ship them slightly but there friendship is so cute.

matthew absolutely hates being tickled in public, he'll definitely shove whoever is trying away😭he thinks its SO embarassing but its different behind doors, he fucking adores it

he doesn't really like it when people are too rough with him because it can hurt sometimes. (gonna use jay as a example because matthew and jay were my fav💔💔 BRING THEM BACK)

it depends on the day with him tbh

sometimes he gets badd sensory overload from tickling and will dismiss it completely, and other times hes okay with it.

he wouldnt really trust alot of people with it, so its usually just matthew who tickles him most of the time because he knows when and were, and how to.

he usually likes gentle tickles instead of rough, he doesnt want to be gasping for breath just like. breathy giggles.

if somebody wanted him to tickle them, they literally couldn't drop little hints. you have to tell him directly or else he doesn't get it at all😭
