Who's Caldur?

He's the majordomo (the head of staff) at the Kelpbottom castle. I wrote a nsfw fic about him on my other blog but I'll probably mention or have him appear in some regular fics too.

My current favorite ship!! I’m obsessed with them. I was worried about this one because there’s a lot of angry and heart broken songs for Fiona about her past with Caldur. I’m shocked I got maybe two of those in this answer and actually songs that would fit her and Sabo.

Comics this week?

Knight Terrors: Action Comics #2 - Solid ending. Good to see some of the Warworld plot threads like Olgrun rear their heads again, Metallo arc benched that stuff for a bit but it seems both PKJ and I are ready for their return. PKJ really wants to cement Osul and Otho as a thing but man they are going to be gone once he leaves the book. Part of me has resigned myself to accepting that it's unlikely PKJ is going to be doing much with the rest of the Superfamily despite his initial interviews, other part of me remains hopeful. Book is good so I'm staying on board, but it is disappointing that Kon, Kenan, and Kara feel pretty superfluous. If my suspicions that the next arc is the Superfamily vs. the evil Batfamily in the Empire of Shadows, then maybe they will get more to do.

Unstoppable Doom Patrol #5 - Oh man do I actually feel positively towards Niles Caldur? Can't believe it. Burnham's body horror for Metawoman was beautifully grotesque. Chuckled when the Doom Patrol just left the mess for Peacemaker to clean up.

The Penguin #1 - Odd how a grim and gritty Batman comic stands out amidst the sea of Batbooks right now, but this is a welcome spin on a familiar formula that stars a character I've never been too passionate about, and makes me care. King says it's an ongoing but the cold opening makes me think he's already got exactly how many issues this will be mapped out.

Knight Terrors: Detective Comics #2 - If Watters never gets to do a proper Superman run it will be a crying shame. Badly want to see him do something with Mxy after his use of the Pentapriests here. Fantastic insight into Gordon and Federeci art is always worth the price.

Immortal Thor #1 - Alright I checked this out because of an argument about Thor I was having elsewhere believe it or not, and folks - this is Ewing hitting a home run. Doesn't hit me in my fanboy heart since I don't have the same love for Thor that I do for Hulk, but it completely lives up to the Immortal brand. Story feels epic in the same way that Hulk did, but the tone is totally the opposite. It's fantasy and superhero all in one, reconstructing Thor after years of deconstruction and establishing him as a powerhouse character with his confidence restored. I'm on board!

So i rewatched the entirety of Young Justice and my mind has been going insane:

Do you think Dick regrets the day they rescued Conner from Cadmus? Because that is the day their lives change forever. So much deception, keeping secrets from close friends. Losing Wally, almost losing Caldur and Conner, all that loss and suffering. Do you think he wakes up wishing he followed Batman's orders the day they went on that Cadmus rescue mission?
