Okay. So, I have a (mostly) unwritten fanfic about BOTW, that I shall refer to as "vows" for simplicity. It is a reader-insert fic that is centered around both the reader character's growth as well as Link's, and I had a thought. If vows was a comic, how would it be drawn in a way to visually but silently show the growth of both characters? And upon the thought, I recalled a key moment I had already written down within the one and a half chapters (unpublished) I had already written and decided to expand upon that thought. I typed out my idea to my romantic partner, and thought I'd share it.
For the explanation, I wrote the reader character's name as "Camil", to make it easier to organize the character and make it easier to develop within my own brain
I imagine that if vows were a comic, it would start as completely black and white. Then when it switches to scenes more focused on link's perspective, it's suddenly in somewhat dull colors, but still noticeably colored. And as the story progresses, every once in a while Camil slowly sees things in color, one by one. Like how I kept describing Link's eyes, putting emphasis on them, since otherwise she can't really see color. The more the story progresses, the more color there is. For camil, at first it's just things that are, in a way, important to her. Starts with Link's eyes, then maybe his hair, and then sentimental items she brought with on her journey. Small stuff that'd absolutely stick out as important to her. And as she slowly sees more things she holds dearly, and the more she grows, the colors slowly start fading into her perspective. And for a while she, too, sees the world in very dull colors. And meanwhile Link's POV goes from becoming almost vibrant from being around and getting to know Camil, to slowly fading into even duller colors than he started with. Only seeing in vibrant color when it comes to personal moments with Camil or in genuine moments like the champion's gifting their abilities and giving a final goodbye. His perspective, the closer he gets to having to fight the calamity itself, eventually becomes near monochrome. It then lightens again as a result of his win against Ganon. After the fight, camil pulls him aside and they have a truly wonderful moment together that brings the world into a brilliant show of color. After that, their perspective may still remain a bit unsaturated compared to what you'd see in the game, and continue to fluctuate with the oncoming crises and the pain and grief that come with it all, but ultimately remain in color as they grow with eachother.
There's probably more I could write to expand on my idea, but it would indirectly spoil my plot ideas. Just thought I'd share though.
I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on my idea!

Similarly to Milestone the imprint will launch with a one-shot and then be followed by few series overseen by Gaiman.
Sandman Universe #1
The story is plotted by Gaiman and written by Spurrier, Hopkinson, Watters and Howard, featuring art by Bilquis Evely with cover art by Jae Lee.
Daniel, the lord of Dreams, has gone missing and it causes chaos in the kingdom of dreams…A rift between worlds has opened, revealing a space beyond the Dreaming. Meanwhile, A book from Lucien’s library of all the unwritten books ever dreamed is discovered by a group of children in the waking world. Simultaneously, a new House appears—the House of Whispers—joining the Houses of Secret and Mystery in the Dreaming. Its proprietor is a fortune teller called Erzulie, whom the inhabitants of the Dreaming suspect may be responsible for all the strange goings on. Elsewhere, Lucifer has fallen again, only this time he might be in a Hell of his own design. And in London, a young boy named Timothy Hunter sleeps, in his dreams he becomes the world’s most powerful magician, but in his nightmares, he becomes the world’s worst villain, which future will become reality?
From the mind of Neil Gaiman, a new world filled with dreams and nightmares, all of his wonderful characters living together in a shared universe for a story unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
Simon Spurrier will write new the Dreaming series
There is a place where gods are born and stories are spun. But twenty-three years after he was anointed as its master, Dream of the Endless has inexplicably abandoned the dreaming. His absence triggers a series of crimes and calamities which consume the lives of those already tangled in his fate, among them Lucien the librarian, Matthew the Raven, and Dora, a monstress without memories. But while they struggle to restore the King to his throne, they face intrigues from within and conquest from without. As usurpers circle the defenceless domain and an impossible shadow awaits its own birth beside a rip in reality, the denizens of the Dreaming play out their stories of loss and love, resignation and resistance.
Nalo Hopkins will write the House of Whispers
Latoya is in a coma. Her girlfriend enlists the help of Latoya’s two younger sisters. Using the Book of Whispers, they mistakenly steal the essence of Erzulie, a deity of voodoo mythology. The psychic blowback of the spell causes her house to crash into the Dreaming, beside the Houses of Secrets and Mystery and their custodians, Cain and Abel.
In the real world, the awakened young woman suffers a mystical form of Cotard’s Delusion—she believes she is already dead, and she’s transmitting her belief to others, causing them to become guardians of the Gap that has appeared in the Dreaming.
Dan Watters will present new Lucifer story
A few years ago, the devil vanished. Some people say he died or simply ran away, while others believe he never existed at all. But we aren’t some people. No. This is the one true story of what happened to the Prince of Lies, the Bringer of Light—Lucifer, the blind, destitute old man, who lives in a small boarding house in a quiet little town, where nothing is quite what it seems and no one can leave. He’s trapped, you see? Trapped in a bizarre prison with no memory of how he got there or why. Meanwhile in Los Angeles, a dying policeman believes his suffering may be a call to a divine mission—one that draws him towards revelations regarding the devil himself.
And Kat Howard will present the reboot of Books of Magic
Timothy Hunter may be destined to become the most powerful magician in the universe, but he’s still a London teenager and having magical abilities complicates things more than it helps. It’s not like he can use magic to pass his exams, stop being bullied, or convince his cute friend to date him. And while Tim’s trying to live his life, there are cultists who want to kill him, believing his power will eventually corrupt him, and turn him into a merciless mage. Oh, and those are the good guys. Luckily, his new substitute teacher is more than she appears, and may be able to help Tim discover the mystery behind the Books of Magic…
Gaiman talked a bit about that last one:
“Mostly what I’m looking forward to is going to that idea and starting it again in 2018,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “Books of Magic was an idea I came up with and did 30 years ago and loved and had an enormous amount of fun with. It was pre-Harry Potter, and the idea of a bespectacled, tousled 12-year-old boy with an owl learning magic was this sort of weird new thing we were trying to figure out as it went along. I love the idea of starting that again now, because now you’re in a universe in which everybody and their brother knows how that kind of story ought to go. Now we’re going to go back and look at ways it can go, both lighter and darker (he said, picking his words with care), than the original. With that one, we’re taking this comic book approach that reminds me a little bit of what DC did when they came up with the concept of Earth One. They took the Flash, and you created the Barry Allen Flash and let the Jay Garrick Flash be the Flash of Earth Two. It’s a new Tim Hunter for a new time, and the old Tim Hunter may well have existed, and that may actually have ramifications for us a little bit down the line.”

hi! for your calamity unwritten au (LOVE IT btw) i was wondering how old post calamity link is compared to pre calamity link ^^ are they around the same age? or is post calamity link way older?
My timeline for them in the AU is pretty consistent across other times I draw or write them -- I usually headcannon Pre-Calamity Link as around 19-20 and Zelda 18-19 (when her bday happens in the cutscenes), and then after the 100 year nap I think the events of BOTW happen over the span of 2-3 years. I love the thought that Link needs a good while to figure out who he is again, regain his strength, and explore the world and all the things he forgot before he's ready to face Ganon again. (And is maybe still putting it off.. just a tiny bit.. as he side-quests around Hyrule)
Since the comic starts when he uncovers his last memory flick, Future Link is probably about 22 or so! (122 technically). and Past Link, since it's right when everything goes wrong, is probably 20ish
