Blue Ribbon Whipping Cream Pound Cake I got this recipe from another 'blue ribbon junkie' friend of mine years ago. It is very firm and very fine textured. It is the only cake I use when doing cake sculpting, and works very well in the 2 piece cake molds. The lowest ribbon it has ever worn, when entered into baking competitions is a Blue Ribbon, and it has gotten as high as Best of Show at a State Fair.

This was probably one of the first fake food sculptures I’ve made. Brave had me in a chokehold when I was little and I was crazy obsessed with the food, specifically the spell cake. I made this in 2021 and I turned it into a magnet fairly recently. It sadly doesn’t look as good as when I first made it cause I had to replace the “sugar” (baby powder) with paint.

So glad we as a society moved on from fondant and embraced naked cakes. If my cake is going to have less frosting and not look as good as a normal frosted cake then it should at least taste good.

This is my favorite cake that was baked by Buddy Valastro, the Cake Boss. He baked it for the Meadowlands race track. They actually have camel and ostrich races there now and then. This cake was huge and adorable!! I love it!! ❤️ It's hard to believe that this is a cake, isn't it?
