The inherent comedy of chilshi is their competing dad motivations. Before senshi showed up chilchuck had been channeling his excess dad energy into keeping Laios and Marcille from doing anything stupid, and then Senshi arrives and, due to not understanding other races, assumes the entire party is developmentally younger than him and starts trying to dad all of them, which chilchuck obviously takes offense to, he doesn’t need someone to dad at him, he IS dad, and then they have funny misunderstanding conflicts for quite a few chapters.
UNTIL izutsumi shows up and now there’s an actual teenager in the group and both chilchuck and senshi immediately focus all their combined dad energy into turning her from a half feral alleycat into a properly socialized catgirl, and it’s only after this dad energy resolution that chilchuck feels comfortable enough with the group to share personal information and reveal that he’s been dad the whole time, breaking senshi’s poor brain in the process.

Regarding the GeorgeNotFound Situation
This entire conversation should not have happened publicly.
It was clear from Caiti's initial post that there was a breakdown in communication rather than any "assault" or "molestation." In her own testimony, she never described explicitly stating no, nor giving any indication besides "getting up" to stop the attention (which was later disproved).
That does not mean she wasn't uncomfortable. That does not mean she was not hurt by George's actions. It also does not mean George is a molester because of it.
From Caiti and George's statements, it is clear that this took place over a couple of hours (3-4), and besides the texting afterward, there were no further physical interactions between them. To use a single incident to describe George's behavior is a stretch at best and downright misinformation at worst. In the Wilbur situation, the violations of Shelby's boundaries happened over months with repeated attempts to tell him to stop.
In George's situation, it happened over four hours, in which there were no explicit tells to stop.
That said, I do hope George takes this incident and rethinks his behavior with strangers. Even if it should not be described as molesting, it still hurt Caiti, and if I were him, I would make strides to not repeat the mistakes made here.
Moreover, I think that some parties involved should not have been. Some individuals used the volatile situation to spread their own hate toward the Dream Team. They used Caiti's story to push their own agenda, which, in no way, is supporting a victim. Her friends should have helped her find closure by seeking reconciliation from her "abuser;" instead, they made the situation a public massacre where she would most likely be harassed after already feeling vulnerable.
My hope is that, behind the scenes, the two will talk about what happened and try to find peace. George clearly did not know he hurt Caiti, and he apologized for making her feel uncomfortable. That does not make him a villain: it makes him a person who made a mistake.
The moral of this whole fiasco is not to support or not support victims. Support can be weaponized for personal gain, and to support blindly is almost as bad as not supporting at all.
Instead, we need to listen. From the beginning, Caiti's story was a plea for an apology from George, and all she needed was George's apology (which she received). She did not need people calling him an abuser, she did not need her friends to utilize her pain to attack George's friend Dream, and she did not need people to pry into both her and George's life for answers.
All of this could, and should, have happened off-screen where the two parties could reconcile and heal.
To Caiti: I wish this had not happened to you. I am sorry you are in pain, and I am sorry your friends used your pain for their gain. I hope you find peace from George's apology, and if you do not, I hope you find peace in life.
To George: I wish this did not happen in the public light. Your mistake did not need to be publicized and scrutinized and instead should have been between you and Caiti. I hope you will help Caiti find peace, and if she does not want it, I hope you grow as a person and do not make this mistake again.
As of right now, this blog will remain positive about the Dream Team. I probably will not be supporting George enthusiastically right now (since I want to be certain this isn't a repetitive behavior and just one incident). However, I will be happy to talk about any fandom content regarding him and the other members.
It has been a rough few days, and I am grateful for the lovely positivity we created between my anons and followers. I give you all many squishes of happiness. Thank you for being kind.
Now, let us all move on to a better and brighter future in this fandom. We have a lot of content coming up, and I'm very excited. Feel free to send any asks regarding the situation; I would love to read your opinions.
TL;DR This conversation should have happened off-camera. Caiti's story should not have been used for clout, and George should not have been attacked for clout. Both need to heal off-camera, and we should support that.

Shinsou had a crush on you since like, young kids days and never thought you noticed him, but that was good cause maybe you thought he was a weird kid, so once he beefed up and finally got the confidence to talk to you it gets shut right tf back down when you're like "Of course i remember you!"
I don't know which part is worse............................ Shinso being so absorbed in his own supposed loser-hood in his youth that he essentially ignored you for 5-10 years while he was working out his self esteem issues ... or the fact that you not only DO remember him, berry well at that, but don't really think anything of it because you thought HE was kinda... a jerk for never being nice to you back.
(Cuz on one hand, you're so sweet, smiling at him when he approaches you, genuinely, just like you did back when you were both under ten and you'd smile at him from the other side of the park... but on the other hand, you don't hesitate to turn right back to your own friends after he barely manages to answer your "how have you been" question and you give him pity eyes like you still think he's a shy headass.
It's just... he doesn't want to fuck it up a second time and lose his momentum... but all the confidence he put into the moment deflated the second he realized you were even more beautiful and more kind than he remembered you and it got him tripping over his words)
ANYWAY then there's another 2-4 months of him trying to get your number just to be a fool over text before even managing to convince you he's worth a fucking damn LOL.
(And he is worth a damn, so much more than a damn because he's willing to give anything and everything up for you but... doesn't know how to say it in a way that wouldn't scare you off for good...
Not to mention he's so fucking bad at texting. Yes, his dry humor is funny as hell but he's not trying to be funny with you, he's trying to WOO you and so the whole thing is just him making excuses to reach out to you even tho texting first for him is like plucking ass hair.)

Just so we clear: GeorgeNotFound stans who are actually acting like Caiti should remember every single detail about what happened and perfectly word it and somehow provide filmed proof of what George did (because how else do these people expect proof besides Caiti suddenly pulling a phone out to film George), are actually beyond disgusting and are showing their true colors on how they'll treat victims around them, especially if they happen to be victims of people they like.

do any ffviii fans watch the bear? my bf and i've been watching the show (on season 2 rn!) and i've drawn some parallels between the characters. this is probably a reach but still fun nonetheless!
-> we got carmy and squall. both keep distance from others out of fear from getting hurt (carmy with his brother, squall w/ ellone). both can have very emotional outbursts under pressure (carmy in that one episode lmao/squall when rinoa is unconscious).
-> sydney and rinoa. two very determined, driven and unmovable women. they both have an idealised version of carmy/squall until it is shattered by actually working with them. both can easily get ahead of themselves and jeopardise their team as a result (sydney in the aforementioned ep/rinoa with the odine bangle)
-> seifer and richie. the classic rough around the edges/troubled type. this is more of a reach considering richie is a 45 year old and seifer is 18 (and actually does have many skills relevant to the party lmao). both prefer it done their way, prone to outbursts of anger and just shitstirrers all around haha. richie and seifer both display noble qualities too, and if we saw a seifer redemption arc like with richie, i think the parallels would be stronger.
-> tina and quistis. both extremely hesistant/bitter about rinoa/sydney's presence at the beginning seeing them as competition. they eventually come around and support the girls, acting as a mentor and emotional support for not just them but the entire team. (i love tina's character development btw.)
-> sugar (natalie) and ellone. they're both big sisters trying to keep what's left of their family together, offering emotional support and always trying to get their younger brothers to open up.
obv it's nowhere near a 1 to 1 parallel. like i couldn't find good fits for selphie, irvine or zell, or even laguna. i mean raine does own a pub and she is dead (like the berzatto's father) but honestly laguna is nowhere near as much of a trainwreck as the berzatto matriach ( i think her name is donna?). selphie would like taking the L though and i can see either kiros and ward taking the place of uncle jimmy.

It is so fucking crucial to the appeal of Farcille that they’re not together to begin with because Marcille can’t let herself see Falin differently than when they met. Marcille’s struggles with her personal relationships as a result of her lifespan and the conflicts derived from a relationship between two people aging at very different rates IS half the appeal, that’s what gives it the drama and pizzazz.
Like yes hot anime dragon chimera tiddies and bathing scene good, but that’s not all there is to it. To simply say ‘they’re girlfriends’ instead of ‘they’re homoerotic besties who are obviously in love with each other but can’t truly acknowledge that and resolve the changes in their relationship for juicy character arc reasons’ is to miss out on the most narratively compelling aspects of the ship in my opinion.

Okay I take it back the actual funniest thing about how many people performatively hate on scum villain because they think it’s bad and trashy and irredeemable and Problematic is that they are unwittingly re-enacting an almost perfect impression of the main character, a young terminally online guy who hate read a trashy porn novel and got in so many internet fights about how bad and irredeemable and garbage it was that he died choking on his rage and was transported to suffer the role of expendable backstory villain in the world of this trashy porn novel he hated so much.
And that’s fucking hilarious.

Okay for real though can we also talk about internet historian and illuminaughtii?? Cause both those channels also suck and deserve at least a little of the vitriol Mr. Somerton is currently receiving. Illuminaughtii positioned herself as like an expert on bad businesses and exposing mlms and stuff, and internet historian makes dreck that appeals mostly to edgy teenage boys who think saying slurs is funny. The fact that both of them were also just ripping off other people’s work to make such desperately mid content is a little funny ngl. I hope this video tanks both their YouTube careers too.
EDIT: yes I am now aware that Blair’s channel has already tanked as a result of the dramas that unfolded a few months ago while Hbomb was working on this video (1 mil subscriber count but averaging 20k views a video nowadays. Brutal), but let’s still hope internet historian’s follows suit. Everyone has latched onto the James Somerton centerpiece, but internet historian has a Huge platform (and also sucks).
It would be extremely lame if the guy who got his audience by posting 4chan edgelord bait and anti-sjw cringe and is now pretending to be a respectable channel has the only career that survives this exposé.

Katsuki Yuuri is so funny because dude is an Olympic level figure skater who competes internationally regularly and he introduces himself through narration in the first episode as very average in skill, who is doing it like him.
Your self confidence may be bad but is it deluding yourself into thinking you suck at something you rank sixth in the world at bad?
