This is the Indian Burger served by Cafe Santa Rosa in Tucson, Arizona, which is I believe owned by an O’odham family.
It’s a hamburger patty, green chile slices, onion, tomato, lettuce, cheese, ketchup, mayo and mustard served on frybread (which is known as a “popover” in southern Arizona).
#food#tucson#cafe santa rosa#remember that thing about the restaurant in italy with the burgers named after native american tribes?#if italians tried navajo tacos i think the result would be like what curry did in british or at least german cuisine

🍽️ Tito Chef's Gourmet House 📍 692 Dr. Zavalla St., Brgy. Kanluran, 4026, Santa Rosa, Laguna
Here’s yet another budding eatery around the lively city of Santa Rosa. While its rustic motif seems fragmentary from the get-go, you’ll eventually find yourself wanting to go back because of their immaculate meals.
This café’s just a one-minute walk from our place, and I’m thankful that restos such as Tito Chef is within reach. I don’t need to go to SM Sta. Rosa or any similar restos offering palatable dishes.

Pros:
✔️ FRIENDLY, FRIENDLY STAFF. Once you enter the gourmet house, you’ll be greeted with polite staff. Commendable customer service indeed. ✔️ Food’s relatively cheap. For as low as 129 PHP, you may buy a flavorful bowl meal with tasty toppings.
Cons: ❌ No WiFi. Listed this as a con as the vibe here is ideal for working remotely. ❌ Their coffee selections aren’t the best. In fact, they offer the worst coffee drinks around the area. The flavor of ice overpowers the taste of their iced coffees, making them less delicious. I also remember sending a complaint upon seeing floating dead ants on my french vanilla mocha; however I was awed by their swift response and told me that my next coffee drink purchase’s on them.

Must-trys:
✅ Salt & Pepper Chicken with Fried Rice ✅ Overload Fries ✅ Crispy Chicken Fillet with Stir Fry Fried Rice (this is my go-to meal!) ✅ Beefsteak Sandwich ✅ Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich

P.S. Tito Chef’s should seriously consider subscribing to Spotify Premium. Nakakawala ng mood kapag ang ganda ng tugtog, tapos may biglang ads sa gitna ng pagse-senti. LMAO
Overall rating: ⭐️⭐️

La Revolución
Carlos lived in Santa Rosa, a small village in South America. He worked at a local market and dreamed of helping his family and creating a better life. Due to the turbulent political situation in the region, business was poor and there was little to do. He often felt helpless because of the economical situation.
There was a lot of violence and conflict between different groups and factions. The Americans were trying to help the local government and the people, but they also had their own interests and agenda. Many people blamed the Americans for the problems and hated them. They thought they were invaders and oppressors who wanted to take their resources and control their lives.

Carlos was walking home from the market when he saw a group of American soldiers passing by. They looked strong and confident, unlike the local people who were scared and oppressed. Carlos noticed one soldier who stood out from the rest. He was Jake, the captain of the team. He had long blonde hair and a muscular body. He wore a green uniform and a black beret. He carried a rifle and a knife on his belt. Carlos felt a surge of admiration and curiosity for the tall American soldier. He decided to follow him and see where he was going. He saw him enter a small cafe and sit at a table. Carlos gathered his courage and walked in. He smiled and said hello, then he reached into his pocket and took out a golden ring. It sparkled in the light and caught Jake’s eye.

He said he wanted to give the ring to Jake as a thank you for the Americans’ help. Jake was touched by Carlos and felt guilty accepting such a valuable gift from a poor guy. Carlos said it was a lucky charm that would protect good people from harm. Nevertheless, Jack let the ring slip on and Carlos also put a ring on his finger and secretly wished he was Jake. Suddenly, they heard a loud explosion nearby and saw a cloud of smoke in the sky. Everything went black and both guys felt dizzy. When Carlos regained consciousness, he was in Jake’s body and saw him in his own body. Jake was shocked, confused and angry “What the hell have you done Carlos?!” Carlos explained that the ring somehow switched them. He said it was an ancient magic that only worked once.
They heard screams and shots - rebels had attacked the village. They had been waiting for the right moment to strike.
Everything was a trap. Carlos had planned it all along. He was the leader of the rebels. While he was a very good strategist, he lacked the strength and body for combat missions. He had used the ring to swap bodies with Jake and gain his power and skills to protect his people and to destroy the Americans.
Despite being an excellent fighter, Jake was captured in the weak and unarmed body of Carlos. It only took a moment to overpower him. The rebels skillfully tied his hands and feet and finally dragged him into a small cage where he was helpless and trapped. He looked at Carlos, who was standing outside the cage. He looked confident and proud, as he gave orders to his men.

Jake: "I thought the ring was a good luck charm to protect good people against harm and not to betray me?"
Carlos: "That's what the ring is for. Because the harm comes from the Americans and your body will be of great help to protect my people."
Jake felt hopeless and angry, but he could not do anything to escape.
As a result of Carlos' new powerful body, many others were encouraged to join the fight and fight for the rebels. Jake watched as the rebel numbers grew and Carlos became an even more dangerous opponent for the Americans.

Mon 8/5
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off for home along the coast. We stopped for a short visit in Redwood National and State Parks. Drove the amazing Drury Scenic Parkway through magnificent coastal redwoods, and took 2 short walks into the forest along the way. It was like being in Jurassic Park- we expected to see a velociraptor among the ferns and gigantic trees! Next we stopped to see the Big Tree, one of the very largest in the Parks. Got lots of nice pictures on all of these stops. After picking up park brochures at the Kuchel Visitor Center and vowing to return, we headed south to Eureka for lunch. We had raw oysters, fried calamari & chips at Cafe Waterfront- really good. Then we tackled the rest of the long drive home, on 101 through Ukiah, Santa Rosa and Marin County. It was a very long day but so worthwhile.

Brouwer's Cafe hosts Stour Fest 2024 during Seattle Beer Week featuring Tilquin's Fruit Extravaganza.
https://bit.ly/3V2lRJZ image courtesy Brouwer’s Cafe Now in its 15th year, Seattle Beer Week returns May 17th and runs through May 24th. Hosted by various businesses up and down I-5 (or interstate to ya'll), there is something every day for everyone. As one of those businesses which has supported Seattle Beer Week since its inception, Brouwer's Cafe invites you to attend one of their events. Re-introducing Stour Fest. What's Stour Fest? It's a union of two one day events, hosted in the many years under the names of Sour Fest and Back in Black Stout Fest. Originally designed to focus on so-called sour ales and lagers, Sour Fest was a one-day event that featured domestic and international beers, ranging from the near-absent-tasting sour to the mouth watering. Each unique and each glass followed by an evening reminder that too much sour can affect the stomach. On the other side, a showcase of stouts. From a vast library of variations, Stout fest included barrel-aged and non-barrel aged stouts. From imperials to the traditional stouts, there's something from everyone. Now in its second year, Stour Fest is back, and they have a week of fun planned. Starting on Saturday, May 18th, Brouwer's Cafe kicks Stour Fest off by showcasing the beers of Gueuzerie Tilquin. As the only draught house on the west coast, authorized to host the "Tilquin Fruit Extravaganza", Brouwer's is featuring the following beers.
