(Left to right, top to bottom)
[F1] "Fish"
Fish is the unofficial leader of the group, and the ship's Democracy Officer. Standoffish and logical, Fish's skillset revolves around stealth, marksmanship, and strategy. He dislikes technology, and often brings only an anti-materiel rifle as his sole stratagem. He's very open about his connection to the Ministry of Truth.
[R2] "Rascal"
Where Fish is intelligent, Rascal is practical. A proud multi-generational E-710 farmer, he shows exceptionally little fear of Terminids, even going so far as to commandeer Chargers as steeds in the field, or mount Bile Spewers to better shove live explosives into them. Rascal is a very patriotic, likeable, and kind-hearted individual.
[D3] "DJ"
DJ is a rather mysterious and odd individual who mostly keeps to himself. A communications and Automaton technology specialist, DJ is happiest when the logistical parts of an operation are running smoothly. He's notorious across quite a few ships for his methods of dealing with dissident broadcasts- replacing them with his "fire mixtape" of Ministry of Truth-approved music.
[C4] "C1"
C1 is a reserved and fearful person who tends to shadow the other three Helldivers in his squad. He's often confused, and struggles with his memory. It's not uncommon for him to freeze during combat, and perhaps is one of the reasons High Command forbids him from diving alone. C1 is extremely fearful of Fish, and will avoid being left alone with him at nigh-any cost.
I know it's stupid as hell, but I can't think of anything that actually proves they're human. Even in the one scene outside their ac, they never do anything a dog couldn't. They never communicate anything more complex than yes/no or left/right
hell, a few ac parts specifically mention in their descriptions that a human pilot couldn't handle them. but 621 seems to have no problem. What if it's because they're not human?
we know *humans* need all sorts of invasive surgery to pilot a mech effectively. whose to say the same upgrades wouldn't work on a dog?
