Yui still remembers when she was the new face around the campfire - when she didn't know what was going on; where she was, and how she'd been the most overwhelmed she'd ever felt in her life. She's sure everyone here does - to most, it's a memory that never fades away. So she's not the only one who tries to welcome newcomers into the Realm as kindly as possible - though maybe kindly isn't the right word.

There can't be any true kindness in the words that condemn you to your fate, after all. The words that make you realize, no matter how slowly, that there's nothing you can do - you're going to die, and it's going to hurt, and whatever ideas you can think of to get out of it have all been tried and failed before. Truth be told, Yui hates doing it. Having to break the news to a new survivor and seeing the truth slowly set in makes her sick. It might even be worse than watching their first breakdown, when they've been sacrificed so much that they're sure they can't take it anymore.

The woman that she faces now is another new face she doesn't recognize, but that doesn't tell her how long she's been here. She could've stumbled into the fog mere minutes ago, or maybe she's been here for a while, and someone else has already explained everything to her. It's impossible to be sure.

"Hey." Yui starts, keeping her voice level enough so as not to startle the other woman. "Do you know where you are? You're looking a little worse for wear, there."

Is diabolik lovers for self-insert ?

there is a default heroine-character (Yui, see below) but in the visual novels, you can also enter your own name and hide Yui's face during the dialogue instead if you prefer self-inserting!

I think her face always shows up in the CGs no matter which option you choose though, and Yui has a pretty solid fanbase as an established character afaik, rightfully so! However, it's still customary for dating simulators to at least provide the option to self-insert by hiding all references to the heroine-character from the screen, since simulating a romantic relationship with fictional characters is the whole purpose of the genre. You can simply choose whether you'd like to experience DL's story through Yui's eyes (which I like best) or not, according to your preference ( ´ ▽ ` )

One thing I fucking love with all my heart is instrumental music. When I was younger I only ever listened to music with lyrics, as I liked listening to the little stories they told in their limited time. I still do. But when I first listened to Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson in Guitar Hero 3, I understood the value of songs that are purely the musicalization of emotion. Much like how abstract art only tells the viewer half the message and puts the role of meaning in their hands, instrumental music doesn't give a clear answer on what it's about, other than a specific feeling. With it, you learn that happiness sounds a certain way. Sadness sounds a certain way. Expectation, horror, panic, loneliness, all human emotions can be expressed through nothing but music. Now what you connect those emotions to is up to you. Maybe they'll connect to some previous memories or experiences that you've had, or maybe it'll sound like something you've never experienced before. Regardless of the case, it is such a delighftul and active experience on the part of the listener.

Hi! No one seemed to be working on this series so I picked it up. I'm trying to work on as many chapters as I can but no promises as to whether I can finish all the chapters...

it’s p much impossible to tell if they’re gonna release novels for them tbh. i mean, they even had novels for side characters (eg misuzu trio and the narumi parents) and complete extras (sekoi trio, who also happened to have the best novels and story btw kanamisa ftw), so ✨who knows✨ which characters this year’s novel will feature

but!!! i really do hope that we’ll get an ft4 novel someday!!!! those losers need to have their story be told!!! (<-extremely starved for ft4 content)

though, if either an ft4, minakuru, nagisa, or masaki trio (delusional) novel comes out, you can bet dai’s fedora that i’m gonna tl it a s a p~~~~~
