So like I personally believe Copia was horrified that his brothers died and he didn't want any part of it, nor was he approached about it, but like I've been considering the interpretation of the magazine photo where Copia himself beheaded Terzo.

(For context, Imperator is a full antagonist in our timeline because we love a spiteful bitch)

Copia has to do it and he's looking at his big brother, his closest friend, kneeling there before him and he feels the blade in his hands and he keeps making eye contact with Terzo and he can't.

If he does, he wakes up every single night in a cold sweat, if not just fucking screaming. Once during a ritual, years down the line, he can feel the warm blood soaking his sleeves and he almost passes out on stage. The ghouls recognize that distant look, the way his voice starts shaking and he glances toward his water and quintessence ghouls in a silent plea through cloudy eyes. It was in the middle of Mummy Dust this time. He could smell Terzo's blood again.

If he doesn't, he is intensely scolded by Imperator and she kills Terzo herself. She never lets C live it down, and he still has to live with the visual and the nightmares.

He can't ever get over Terzo quietly muttering that it isnt your fault, Copia, I dont blame you, you're not a bad person, we love you, Cardinal, I'm so sorry, as if he werent the one on death's doorstep.

Rain has found Copia sobbing at 2 am before because he dreamt of Terzo comforting him again.

Sawyer had just grabbed a snow cone and took a big bite from it, instantly getting brain freeze by accident. She winced and shut her eyes tightly but in the process, ran into someone. "Ah, fuck, sorry my bad," she said quickly until she realized the contents of her snow cone had fallen to the ground in the process. "Well then...that's what it gets for hurting my brain. Neon colors swarm his vision as everything started blurring together, voices seeming louder as they pounded into his ears.

Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion but also 100 times faster at the same time as the drug dealer in front of him started to fade into the rest of the blurred nightclub as the dealer ran away.

It wasn’t until he felt himself trying to be pulled away that he snapped out of his drug induced trance to fight back and chase after Tom Rider’s drug dealer, rolling onto the top of the taxi as it hit him to stop the dealer from getting away.

Thank god he was a stuntman or else the hit from the car would have probably knocked him out.

“Aye man, we- we can talk about this alright?” The dealer blurts as Colt grabs his collar.

“Where is Rider?!” Colt demands, his grip tightening almost painfully.

“Go to the hotel down there and- and ask Kevin for the fruit plate, they’ll give you a key to his room.”

And that’s how Colt found himself standing in the fancy ass hotel lobby and at the front desk, asking for Kevin to get the fruit plate.

“Colt?” Someone calls from behind him, snapping out of the conversation he was having with the random front desk worker.

He turns around and his body relaxes as he sees you in front of him, his old lover turned director.

“Y/N hey,” he says, trying to act casual while being under the haze of the drugs. “You look really pretty right now…you always look pretty though.”

He can’t help but lean against you, his face close enough to yours that you could tell something was going on with him.

i did not actually do any writing tonight like i had planned.....instead i found a fic to get lost in. i shall try again tomorrow. i've got 2 colt fic ideas swimming in my brain, as well as a colter shaw fic.

Like complete and utter idiots LMAO. Like you said earlier, it's all fun and games until one of them starts up on the listen, it would be fun. And yeah, it would be fun. Then one of them has their leg stuck in a barbed wire trap whilst the other tries to chase down the horse. Again.

On a more serious level, Lark's got a mesh of safety with Colt as you know. Lark's an honorary Lennox after all; blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. He's one of them by the metric of everybody involved— Myora doesn't just take anybody into the fray either, so it's not like he doesn't have his place with them. They're family and he gets treated as such.

And vampire Lark gets a bloodbag that likes it a little too much.
