Unique traits: Antennae that give its tech priests access to Urum’s noospheric network. If a tech priest of Urum commits a crime, their antennae are removed, and they are exiled. Skitarii are sent after them, and if they are caught, they are executed, but if they manage to escape, they are free to go.
A volcanic forge world located in Calixis sector. Mechanicus activity is centered in six forge centers known as Spires. They are named after the tech priest in charge.
Spires
The majority of Urum's inhabitants live in six huge forge cities known as Spires. Each can be mostly independent, with its own voidport, but each also has its own specialty. The spires are connected with miles of railways.
Spire Aurelia
The biggest and central spire. Houses augmetics manufactorums and the fabricator general's personal forge temple.
Spire Cordelia
Houses the largest voidport and guest quarters. A beautiful place decorated with sculptures and lush gardens for the less augmented guests to enjoy. The Spire is covered by a massive canopy that keeps Urum’s ash-choked air out.
Spire Kassander
Urum’s data storage, library, and working spaces of Lexmechanics and Logi.
Spire Karhu
Urum’s genetors work in the myriad laboratories housed here, monitoring Urum’s genestocks, the health of its inhabitants, and conducting research.
If you mention the Prime Genetor's name while inside the Spire, he might just appear from practically nowhere.
Spire Maledicta
This spire houses Urum’s Skitarii and Secutor barracks and training grounds. The spire sits on the side of a volcano, and is protected by a forcefield.
Spire Teyron
Teyron’s spire houses the strategic center, as well as weapon and armor manufactorums.
Ruling Council
Urum-13 is ruled by a council of six tech priests led by Fabricator General Aurelia. The members of the council represent different branches of Mechanicus operations on the Forge World.
Fabricator-general Aurelia Alpha-1-Omega
The priestess in charge of the forge world. Aurelia's origins are shrouded in mystery, there's evidence that she once started as a Lexmechanic. Now she is a master artisan in charge of her own Forge World.
Fabricator Locum Cordelia
The diplomat and Aurelia’s right hand woman, Cordelia conducts dealings with the outside world.
Secutor Prime Maledicta
Once plucked from a world besieged by Tyranids, Maledicta was entrusted to the previous Secutor Prime, whose name was also Maledicta. Maledicta senior gave the girl her name, and raised her as her apprentice and daughter. Maledicta rose through the ranks and now commands her own Spire and oversees the training of Skitarii and more militant Tech Priests. She resents Aurelia for taking her away from her home, but she feels like she owes it to her mother to make Urum her home.
Magos Dominus Teyron
Teyron oversees the planetary defense and strategizing along with Maledicta.
Prime Genetor Karhu
A weirdo genetor trapped on Urum because it’s the only place where his ideas of using Terran animal parts to strengthen humanity aren’t seen as tech heresy. Bonds with Maledicta over disliking Aurelia. Also knows that Maledicta is a former genestealer cultist.
Lexico Arcanum Kassander
A quiet fellow who can fivine the future using numbers, data analysis, and statistics. Mostly keeps to himself.
Level 1: Characters in a fantastical setting with no clear analogue of any real-world culture or religion celebrate Christmas; the implications of this are never examined
Level 2: Characters in a fantastical setting celebrate a secular, non-denominational mid-winter holiday which just coincidentally involves many of the same rituals and observances as Christmas
Level 3: Characters in a fantastical setting celebrate a mid-winter holiday commemorating an invented folk-hero whose mythos furnishes elaborate alternative explanations for various Christmas observances
Level 4: Characters in a fantastical setting celebrate Christmas because in spite of the setting's history otherwise bearing no resemblance to that of Earth, for some reason Catholicism still exists
I made a few new wax seal stamps out of clay (like the ones I did for my worldbuilding stuff forever ago), this time just of random symbols that I thought might look good done in the style of painting over the raised part of the wax or etc. :0c Some of them aren't carved deep enough to really show up that well, but overall they worked okay for being clay lol
Hi I have a question on ur rival childhood friend au, how did dream went to neather and how exdee will react when he found out? (react that his son went missing?) Wanna know the story.
Oooh this is a great question!
Okay this is going to be a little long so we'll go chronological.
So Exdee finding out his son has gone missing, and Dream landing in the Nether.
Well he wasn't happy that's for sure. As far as he knows, one moment Dream was there, and then the next:
As to why he's gone missing... I've been going back and forth with it being either enemies of the End, or another god jealous that Exdee created non-mob life, and wanted to take it for themselves. (Could be both idk at the moment ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
Dream would have been something incredibly powerful if he'd stayed as a "demi-god" but now that he's a player - godhood is firmly out of his hands. Something about him being part of all three(?) gods' domains now. Closest thing he could get to that was to become an Admin (which is something similar to being a Warlock - where you have a patron god granting you the power to change your chosen world).
Back to Exdee- He raged for days, tearing the End apart looking for his boy; side note - the End used to be a huge continent, which uh... when I say he tore it apart - there's a reason why the End is now a collection of islands.
After tearing through his realm he tried to tear through the other ones, which was firmly stopped by both the Nether God (?) and the Overworld God (Lady Death), who at this point have no idea what's set him off. All they could get out of him was:
"My Dream, My Dream is gone."
Lady Death does get the story out of him after a while, where he begs her to check that Dream hasn't become a part of her domain. Which she confirms he hasn't. But neither has any idea where he could have ended up, since usually falling into the void sent you to the Overworld.
So Dream is MIA for a while before he's suddenly pops into existence in the Nether. The Nether God does tell Exdee eventually (after Exdee gets word from an Enderman) but due to it not being Exdee's Domain, he just kinda has to sit and watch his kid get into trouble without being able to help. He's not okay for a long time.
On the left, an older caretaker from some island culture. Sleepy babies get to hold on the adult's piercings. The ones too young get a ride in the basket.
On the right, an egg arch (a reproductive leader) of a coastal culture. The babies on their neck don't have the balance to walk but might not be so sleepy. Unlike the caretaker the arch carries their own children. They make great accessories but being your parent's keychains is also a good exercise, experts say.
Climbing on big uniimas is natural to a baby. Since uniima are evolved to be arboreal, it's better they can climb and grip as soon as possible. Their giant heads make it easy to hold their full weight on their jaws.
Before becoming a parent or a caretaker, one needs to realize they will also become a tree, a mountain, and a hanger.
Okay but given that you can make alcohol from just about any plant, a world built around Minecraft could have SUCH a liquor cabinet.
You’ve got your basics, the potato and wheat vodka, gin, whiskey, then rum from sugarcane or beet sugar if you’re feeling a little adventurous.
Then you’ve got the fancier things. Dandelion and melon wine, spike vodka, pumpkin liqueur, applejack. Zhuyeqing jiu and chocolate liquor if you REALLY want to go for the cool stuff.
You’ve got mead and all kinds of moonshine, everything from carrots to kelp to sawdust brandy if you live out in the Badlands. Sunflower and rose spirits, lilac wine, even milk liquor and advocaat if you want to deviate from plants a bit.
But then you’ve got the plants that don’t exist in our sphere.
Chorus liqueur, dripleaf absinthe, glowberry champagne and sweet berry wine, glow lichen beer and crème de spore blossom, golden apple cider, glistering cordial. For the truly danger-seeking, wither rose lanique.
finally redesigned Cora's claws after like 7 years, they have evolved!! Plus I'm a bit more happy about their details this round, I'll have to do a diagram of their transformed legs later.
Like with real animal husbandry, "Is it possible to..." and "is it a good idea to..." yields two different answers!
Is it possible? Hares are working animals. Sometimes it's necessary that a hare be trained to behave in the field around things it thinks of as prey. (Carriage hares can't be snapping up pursedogs as a mid-day snack, after all.)
The success of such endeavors depends on how good a trainer the hare's bonded person is, as well as the temperament of the individual animal. So yes, it's possible.
But is it a good idea? Only if you're willing to take the risk of Fido mysteriously going missing.
This is a KinitoPET AU I've been making with friends! I won't add much context since it's still in construction but maybe, someday it will get a comic... i wonder if people are interested in that or in knowing the story HSHDHS but even if not i will still make content of this AU that has been brainrotting my head since march or so
How would a c singer sew or do some other very precise job? can u show that?
To start, I think it's important to point out how they manipulate anything at all.
Cs don't have arms, we know this, but they do have overly complicated pseudomouths! The main manipulators that are part of it are the dark green patches at the corner of their mouth.
They work a lot like snail eyes, and their default position is retracted, but when they're in use they look like this!
It's almost entirely muscle, save for the chitin based "skeleton" in the hand for structure. While it is not very strong, it does the job, especially with precise tasks. There is one on each side, along with the pseudo-tongue within the pseudomouth (I will be saying pseudo a lot). When retracted, the whole thing tucks into special groves in the pseudomouth.
These indents serve a secondary purpose, also, and its allowing them to do THIS!!
This position is what lets them do precise work of all kinds! They need to use assistive devices for a lot of tasks, but for sewing specifically, they get by just fine without them.
Here's a visual example of how they would go about it, it's rough but I hope it gets the idea across.
and then the cycle repeats!
I wanted to draw assistive devices but I have already taken longer than I would like to answer this ask, I might come back with some examples later down the line. Basically, they're mostly stuff attached to parts of the snout to hold the fabric more firmly, which is useful for more refined stitching or embroidery.

"Hey mike, don't you think you're maybe a little too old for this?"
"nah, what makes you say so."
i have had this teen, emo michael_b design for basically forever, and it was honestly a crime i'd never drawn him properly - so here he is! miniserie of him growing with cbee, with the tubbo part coming. probablu tomorrow.
I'm Philip/A/yello. I enjoy writing, art, science, and this is the blog focused on my personal brain worms.
My big brain worm is worldbuilding, and the world you are seeing is the World of All (placeholder name).
World of All is placed on a single planet with multiple 'continents' that host independently evolved ecosystems and currently 4,5 sophonts/"aliens". This unique setup is all thanks to the Designers, mindless blobs that have managed to keep their landmasses isolated for billions of years (among other things). As a bonus, some of the blob physical manipulation is left in the sophont creatures' brains who have yet to understand physics on a deeper level.

Here are the 5 (O.s are having a redesign session). Mole stars have not made contact with the rest.
