That's very cool that you can be surrounded by all of that, although I'm sure it's overwhelming sometimes! I inherited most of my mother's "stuff" and sometimes it makes my head spin.

I know what you mean. I mean I actually live in what was my parents house. There is so much music, interviews, etc that my father did with my uncles. Its ok. I feel for you too.

(check out what appears to be a repeat wear of her going-away suit with a different shirtwaist! she seemingly wears it a third time in fact, but it's with the same shirtwaist as the second time, so i didn't feature that. she also wears the purple suit twice, but it's worn in the exact same way, so i only included it once. finally, there's a repeat of the grey/black coat and matching hat, but i believe she has on a different shirtwaist underneath in the second wear, as well as a different purse)

We knew this was coming but now it's official.

According to the EU's Copernicus Climate Change Service, 2024 was the hottest year on record.

The European Union's Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) has confirmed in its latest Global Climate Highlights report that 2024 was the hottest on record. The study reveals a rise of 1.6 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial times — defined as the level between 1850 and 1900. Previously, 2023 was the warmest year. At the international climate conference in Paris in 2015, 196 world leaders agreed to limit global warming to no more than 2 degrees Celsius, and to pursue efforts to keep temperatures below 1.5 degrees (2.7 Fahrenheit). Samantha Burgess, C3S deputy director told DW that the world is now "teetering on the edge of passing the 1.5-degree level." [ ... ] Scientists working as part of World Weather Attribution, an organization that studies the links between extreme weather and climate change, found that 26 of the events they looked at last year had been made worse or more likely to happen due to rising temperatures. Human burning of fossil fuels for activities such as heating, industry, and transportation is the main driver of global warming, but natural phenomena, like El Niño have also played a part in pushing up temperatures over the past two years, said scientists at C3S. [ ... ] Typically occurring every two to seven years,El Niño is associated with the warming of the central and eastern tropical Pacific Ocean, leading to overall average sea surface temperatures that are 0.51 degrees Celsius higher than the 1991 – 2020 average.  Sea surface temperatures are of particular concern to scientists because oceans store around 90% of the heat connected to global warming.

in public they were the perfect couple. they held hands, laughed at each other’s jokes, talked one another up, supported each other, but it was all an act. credit where credit was due, both of them played their parts amazingly well for two people who couldn’t stand each other once they were behind closed doors.

as soon as the door closes behind them, alex snatches his hand out of hers and gives her a wide berth as if he were trying to avoid catching some horrible infectious disease. “are you pleased with yourself?” his tone of voice is irritable but not out of jealousy - or maybe a little bit, they were married after all. the whole point of their performance was to maintain the image of a perfect couple, but that sort of went out the window a little bit when she started laying it on thick with other men with alex stood only six feet away. “do you like making me look like a fucking idiot?”

he should've been focused on the meeting. the other was across his desk updating him on something or bringing something up. yet he was just palming his bulge underneath the desk. "you're going to have to repeat that later." he rolled his chair back and if they were paying attention, they could see how his length was outlined by the tight material of his pants. "i'll sign off on whatever you want. but i need you to get on my desk so i can eat you out. it's been a stressful day."
