Kurt doesn't know it, but when Finn stops him from going to Dalton to spy on the Warblers, that was a defining moment for his life. Almost three years later, Kurt meets Blaine in class at NYADA. It seems like they've finally found each other, but the scars high school left on them may be a chasm to large to overcome.

Yet another old fic finally finished in 2017 - this has really been a good year for WIPs (although I fear it is the ending of a lot of Klaine writers too, but lets not dwell on that.)

I have such a soft spot for promiscuous!klaine, both when it’s in the yay, sex-positivism! way, and the I’m not worth anything more than casual sex kind of way. Not to spoil anything, but this is kind of both and it really works within their characterisation. There are some gut-punching moments in this fic, so please heed the warnings, but everything is treated in a gentle way and it’s overall a wonderful fic, where Kurt and Blaine learns to heal each other. Be prepared for crying and frustration, but it is worth it in the end.

What do you do when you are lying sick in bed and need something heartbreaking and looooong to read? You reread Near Misses for the umpteenth time and spend six hours laughing, crying and tearing your hair out because of these stupid, oblivious boys.

I’ve said before that in my opinion, Flamingmuse writes some of the best Blaine characterisations there is. But in this story, which I feel is more Kurt centric, Kurt is written so perfectly in character that it is difficult to remember that this is fiction (unlike Glee, hehe...). To me, this IS the way Kurt would have been if he hadn’t met Blaine. Not jaded, but colder, more distanced, and more desperate. I just want to hug him. (Also, I would have loved to read about Kurt his first year in college, alone and searching.)

I know everyone has already read this before, but perhaps it’s time for a reread? (It’s stellar even without a fever, I promise.)

Summary:  the one where Blaine can't do casual sex, and Kurt kind of can. (Blaine tries to be the better man and lets Kurt go. It doesn't work out well for either of them.)

This story is canon divergent before 4x04, where Kurt and Blaine break off during Blaine’s senior year, and they both try to make it work on their own. Blaine isn’t as good with one nights stands as he thinks, and the whole self destructing thing he is doing to himself is just breaking my heart. I just want to hug him and tell him that it’s all going to be ok.  This story was both heartbreaking and gorgeous, and I loved every single word of it.
