It was as if the cabin was a tomb, preserved and cold and stale. It gave Connor the creeps. He truly couldn't tell what was worse; the rooms that seemed to hold too many memories that suffocated you or outside where your breath was stolen by the cold and held hostage by the vast lake. It wasn't very in line with what he wanted to feel so he figured he may as well go distract himself and what better way to do that was with people. He ducked his head into rooms as he trekked through the cabin, greeting old friends or finding empty bunks. It wasn't until he reached the living room did he figure he had hit the jackpot.

"Don't mind if I do." he responded to the invitation to sit down, choosing the chair next to the couch where Matcha was residing. He settled comfortably in it, his head lolling back slightly as he regarded her with a large smile. "Whatcha doing?" As far as Connor could see, she was just... sitting there.

🪡 : lake  stillwater  seemed  to  be  frozen  in  time.  everything  was  the  same... the  smell,  the  sounds,  the  eerie  feeling  matcha  felt  wash  over  her  when  left  alone  in  a  room.  a  less  rational  person  would  say  something along the lines of it feeling like someone had their eyes on her,  but  matcha  was nothing if not  rational.  currently  stationed  by  herself  in  the  large  living  room,  matcha seemingly was  just  sitting  and  enjoying  the  silence, her luggage still sitting next to her by the couch.

in  reality  everything  about  this  place  reminded  matcha  of  either  harper  or  jamie.  neither  reminder  offered  any  kind  of  comfort...  more  like  a  stinging  in  her  chest  she  couldn't  quite  shake.  matcha  felt  her  body  stiffen  before  she  could  actually  see  the  figure  out  of  the  corner  of  her  eye  as  they  entered  the  living  room.  ❝  you  can  sit, no need to hover.  ❞  matcha  offered,  kind  of  secretly  hoping  whoever  it  is  will  decide  to  sit  anywhere  but  near  her.

Just got home from MoCCA Fest and eeeeeee I got to say hi to the Drawfee crew. It was an experience, I'm gonna write this down so I remember today

the line was long, which at first I was like "honestly, good for them!" but I didn't realize it was because...

the $20 custom doodle deal made the line SUPER long earlier, to the point it disrupted the vendor hall, so they had to switch to giving away premade doodles instead, to quicken the line. And I didn't know that, I thought the switch was made b/c they only had $5 items left, so I asked Julia (who was patient with me thank goodness, I feel so bad that I flatlined for a moment) if I could get a custom doodle if I bought enough stickers to be $20 so she patiently explained to me the line problem and I was like "understandable!" and got my stickers and free doodle

As I did so, Karina complimented my pants (I think it was at the Drawfee table?? I'm not sure about this detail) and they were the pants I made so I got to be like "yeah I made them!!" and I felt so... complimented? Is that the right word? idk, it just felt good to hear it from a professional artist =w=

So I joined my friends who were at one of the interactive tables, and then I realized I had forgotten to give the Drawfee crew the stickers I made. My friend encouraged me to go back and give them it so I did.

Karina immediately said "we're gonna fight over this later" which to be fair, there were like over 15 stickers that I gave them so it probably wont be that bad of a bloodbath lol

Jacob liked the Bloodborne stickers but he only saw the one where Micolash is a literal rabbit, he didn't see the rest of the Lunar New Year stickers yet blfdfkfjnfjf

I didnt ask for a picture since tbh I've never been a picture person for memorable moments

Overall, I'd say today was a win! I also got this shirt from another table that..... I mean, I just had to, LOOK at it XD
