You know for a manga that boasts having so many badass female characters i can't help but need to add OCs to Metallic Crimson because all of the female characters fall into the following categories:

A) White Seeming Soldier Lady (Riza Hawkeye, Rebecca Catalina, Maria Ross, Sheska, Olivier Mira Armstrong, Briggs Doctor*) (*military doctor ergo here and not below- plus babe doesn't even have a name)

B) White Seeming Civillian Lady (Winry, Pinako, Sarah Rockbell, Armstrong sisters (3 of them and i can't recall if they ever speak), Mrs Armstrong (we don't have a name for her), Madame Christmas, Trisha Elric*, Gracia Hughes*) (*have these gals done anything except been there for their man or their sons I would hardly count them shonen badass but I am adding them because they are female characters and they play a part)

C) White Seeming Alchemist Lady (Izumi Curtis) (lmao i thought there'd be more but all of the other alchemists in the manga are men)

D) Not Human (Martel, Lust, Nina, Nina's mom)

E) Not Amestrian* (*Ishvalans are Amestrian) (Lan Fan, Mai, The panda (tbh i just now noticed i put the panda here and not in Not Human and it's so much funnier here)

The only ones who don't fall into this category are Shan (the ONLY female speaking ishvalan in the fmab anime - SHE APPEARS SO LITTLE AND IS FORGETTABLE THAT I HAD TO GOOGLE HER) and Paninya (a one-off character)

Oh but limeta! Amestris is supposed to be Europe, that's why they're all white -

For its time, FMAB is an incredibly diverse story with amazing female characters, but i see people still boasting them for modern standards and it's like - but there aren't, there really aren't many badass female characters at all. and if I were to take a step further and remove all of the female characters whose sole motivation is enabling or helping a man succeed then I'd cut those characters up there even further. The only ones who are genuinely badass characters with their own clear cut motivation are Pinako Rockbell (suppose if she were younger, she'd be given a man to hype and do things for but thank god she's an old wise woman archtype and therefore immune to that trope), Sarah Rockbell (selflessly saving lives and being a doctor, though sorry queen you died) and Olivier Mira Armstrong (proactively fucking shit up and with a clear motivation what she wants - but then you can also infer that Mustang is a part of her motivation because she wants to fuck his chances up of being Fuhrer lmao)

Winry in brotherhood is very waifu, very not proactive, very I'll wait for you but she still gets shit done and so she's still badass because we all know that strength is differently expressed with different characters so she's still on this list, but compared to her 03 version she's very stay at home, very support role, very all i do i do for ed and al.

Riza Hawkeye... i love her. she's my favourite character. but remove roy from her motivation and what do you get...be honest...

Madame Christmas, for the only times she does appear, she does so because she's gotta help Roy.

Gracia is a housewife :) and we know nothing about her. She is an extension of Maes Hughes. She is there because if she weren't there we wouldn't have Elicia and if we didn't have Elicia we wouldn't have the scenes where Maes boasts and hypes his family up in order to solidify his characterisation as THAT CARING DUDE HOPE NOTHING BAD - OH NO THE WIFE GUY DIED.

Make no mistake! This is not anti fmab. I've written over 300k worth of content for this fandom and I adore every single frame of that show (especially the nina tucker spliced with her dog frame, chefs kiss) But it has forced me to have to create either backstories and motivation for most of these female characters that exist outside of the men in their lives or it has forced me to create OCs that don't fall within those aforementioned categories.

Would it have been so bad, I ask, if we got an Ishvalan character who was not a monk and not in the slums waiting to die? Maybe even a female character? Would it have been so bad that we got more speaking roles for women outside of the military who aren't alchemists? Would it have been bad if we got a female character who was a State Alchemist?

Most likely yes, because Arakawa had a clear view of what she needed in order to tell her story from start to finish, but I'm not confined to such limitations and I'll make Ishvalan characters who are proactive. I'll gladly add more characterisation to our prexisting anime babes because I love that I can. I am a worldbuilder first and foremost and I love making a world that's LIVED in and having such a sanitized character list from up there is really making me not feel like it's LIVED in.

Anyway calling fmab a show filled to the brim with badass female characters is ??? an outdated take.

Edward : Oh hey, Lieutenant. Nice to see you dropping by at the park. You see Winry has weird transformation of her body and became something like a "Kami", but what's a Kami?

Riza : It means "God" and we became one as well.

Edward : Well, I don't see your point tho, cause that's--HOLY TOLEDO!

Riza : Nice to see you playing tug of war.

Edward : How did you become one like that!?

Taito : This is a body of a real God!?

Alphonse : What the heck have you been eating!?

Riza : I feel good in my system.

Winry : Yeah, no way! I'm not here for you, don't judge me in offering of yours, I don't really need an offer. But you got the wrong one here.

O'Chunks : Listen, lady! I'm mean green machine with a full cases of a knuckle sandwiches that lays a pounding. Like it or not, you're gonna tell me on whether you get the eight pure hearts from the eight vessels, we won't harm this planet to dust when the planet gets swallowed or swallowed by the black hole.

Winry : Hold the phone, are you saying that you created a heart that will turn someone or anyone into a villain?

Mimi : Of course, now if you tag along we might get orders situated in preparations for the ultimate powers of chaos.

??? : So this is it. (the White Pure Heart is shown) The White Pure Heart, the one that is connected to the beloved Iris. So this is what Demon Vibe was hiding from all of this. I should've known that the evil forces were from Soul World cleverly a diversion set up to destroy Real World AU and would take over the galaxy for me. But not on my watch, don't worry, I know how to take care of the galaxy and the universe itself. This Dark Fantasy bullsh*t needs to end. I got better things to be improved.

Headcanon meme: ed, winry, Armstrong & izumi

this is going to be long, so get ready. but thanks for so many, this was fun!

Headcanon A:  realistic

Ed: Ed still loves alchemy after the Promised Day, and he’s still one of the most skilled at alchemical theory in the world, even if he can’t practice it - he writes books on the subject and stays up-to-date with Alchemy journals and scientific publications - but he starts to find other places to put his passion a couple years after the Promised Day. It’s not healthy for him to only dwell on alchemy and what he lost, and he wants to find other ways to do good. Most of all, he still wants to be able to MAKE things.

When he settles back in Resembool, he becomes an apprentice to a carpenter and learns how to build things with his hands. He makes furniture for his and Winry’s future house. He builds his son’s crib. Edward becomes nationally known for his books on alchemic theory, but he becomes locally know for crafting sturdy and well-made furniture. (He never quite loses his terrible sense of style, though. Some of the pieces he makes for himself and Winry still feature skulls and dragon heads. She’s appalled, but used to it.)

Winry: Winry keeps her last name after she marries Edward. The name Rockbell is already famous in the field of automail, and by the time they marry the name Winry Rockbell has become well known - as much as she loves Edward, she doesn’t want to give up the name and legacy she’s proud of or the reputation she’s already acquired. She suggested she take the name Rockbell-Elric at first, but it was Ed who suggested he just change HIS name to Edward Rockbell. (For one, less hassle, he says. And also he kind of wants to distance himself as much as possible from the famous Fullmetal Alchemist after he resigns.)

Armstrong: (wasn’t sure if you meant Alex or Olivier, so I went with Olivier) After the Promised Day, Olivier goes back to Briggs. She would be able to move up the ranks and accept a promotion in Central easily, but she’s more dedicated to her men and protecting the Northern Wall than she wants to move up the ladder - and because she doesn’t trust anyone else to do it correctly. Everyone in Central is a little relieved to see her go.

Izumi: Izumi is an orphan - both her parents died when she was young and she was raised in an orphanage. It’s part of why she was so willing to take in the Elrics after learning about their situation - she understood exactly what they were going through. She’s desperately wanted a family since she was young, and it’s why she takes so much pride and joy in being part of one.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Ed: I don’t even think this is THAT unrealistic, but Ed basically becomes an Amestrian Cryptid. Nobody even really knew who the Fullmetal Alchemist was when Ed WAS working for the military - and it only gets worse after the Promised Day. The soldiers and onlookers from that day talk about what happened, only none of them actually understand what happened so there are all these crazy, exaggerated, conflicting accounts. 

The Fullmetal Alchemist becomes a legend. Some say he was a real person who helped save his country. Others say he’s just a mythical figure used by the military to make themselves look better. People say he has the power of god himself. Others say he was just a kid with a bad temper. People swear he was half metal. Nobody knows who Edward Elric really was, and years later historians and authors try and track him down for interviews, just to find a disgruntled stay-at-home dad who wants them off his lawn.

Winry: Winry is really, really good at math. She can do crazy calculations in her head without even trying. Edward tried to race her once. Al provided the questions and they raced to see who could solve them all correctly fast enough. Winry won.

Armstrong: Olivier actually has a pretty feminine style (I mean look at that beautiful long hair and pink lip gloss - she definitely takes pride in being tough as nails and still looking pretty and feminine.) If she’s not in uniform, which is rare, she’s been known to actually wear frilly blouses and pink clothing. Somehow it’s more terrifying to see her looking pretty and feminine, knowing she could still kill you without blinking. (She absolutely delights in that.)

Izumi: She absolutely loves and dotes on Edward’s kids and is basically a grandmother to them. She becomes totally different around them - sweet and sugary, always bringing them toys and giving them treats and performing alchemy for them when they want to see it - and Ed (and Al) are slightly terrified of the change. Ed’s kids don’t understand why their dad is afraid of Grandma Izumi.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Ed: Ed has a complicated relationship with food. He developed an eating disorder during the first year after Al lost his body. He felt guilty being able to eat when Al couldn’t and tended to skip meals, playing it off like he just wasn’t hungry. Really, it was about punishing himself for putting Al in that state. Automail takes a lot of energy and calories to operate, though, so the Rockbells never let it fly. Alphonse picked up on what he was doing to and became just as adamant about forcing Ed to eat.

Winry: Sometimes, Winry’s glad Ed lost his alchemy. She feels horrible for thinking so because she knows how much he misses it, but she can’t help but associate alchemy with the thing that ruined Ed and Al’s life. Alchemy was what stole their bodies. Alchemy was what made them leave home. In a very irrational way, Ed’s lack of alchemy almost assures her he won’t run off again - but she knows it’s irrational and feels guilty every time she thinks it. 

Armstrong: Olivier cared for Buccaneer romantically - she’s never wanted to marry or start a family (her ambitiouns and dedication to her job too great, and the Briggs army is the only family she really needs) but she had loved him, and she thinks it was the closest she would ever get to having a romantic partner. She wouldn’t have pursued anything if he had lived, but she misses him more than she will ever say when he’s gone. 

Izumi: Izumi dies fairly young - late thirties to early forties. Hohenheim managed to make her more comfortable, but nothing could fix the strain not having some of her organs put on her body. She’s just grateful she got to live as long as she did, and she thinks she had a good life all things considered - she got to see the two boys she loves like sons get their bodies back and do great things, she got to watch them grow up and one of them start a family of his own. She got GRANDKIDS, which she never expected. In the end she had the family she always wanted, and she was happy.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Ed: Despite loving attention, Ed’s actually more of an introvert (compared to Al being an extrovert.) This seems backwards with their temperaments - Ed loud and outgoing, Al reserved - but while Al wants to meet as many people as possible and thrives on being social, I think Ed would honestly be fine holing up with no company and a mountain of books for weeks on end if Winry/Al didn’t drag him out of the house.

He likes people fine, he just gets really exhausted dealing with them and he’s a bit socially awkward in that he doesn’t really know how to deal with people - which just tends to make him look like a prickly asshole. He’s actually a lot like his father in this way, though not nearly as awkward as Hohenheim was.

Winry: Winry visits New Ishval during it’s reconstruction to meet the people that her parents gave their lives for. She even helps in the rebuilding while she’s there and offers automail, free of charge, for those who need it.

Armstrong: I know I said that Olivier had romantic feelings for Buccaneer, but she also definitely had a HUGE crush on Izumi. She respects that the other woman is in a loving relationship and doesn’t act on it, but she also secretly thinks that if it came down to it, she could probably beat Sig in a fight for Izumi’s affections.

Izumi: Izumi forges an awkward…not friendship, really, but sense of camaraderie with Roy post Promised Day. Roy sends her some kind of letter thanking her for helping him when he lost his sight, Izumi sends back a scathing four-page reply insulting him and everything he stands for after she figures out he was the one who convinced Ed to join the military, (It’s addressed to “Dog”) but at the very end, there’s one sentence sort of thanking him for making sure those boys didn’t get killed during those four years - in a very roundabout way.

They don’t really get along, but their love for the Elrics and their experiences on the Promised Day bring them together. They end up more like weird in-laws than friends.

King Bradley & Wrath (Sketched & Colored)

Now I know King Bradley is also Wrath in both the manga and Brotherhood, but in the 2003 anime, he was Pride. So I guess that makes him a Prideful Wrath. I’d get crazy imaginations if Dante and Father were married and worked together.

Edward grumbled under his breath as he scanned through his roster. Thirteen. He now has thirteen students that are eager to learn Alchemy. There must be a different schedule for his students and different set of goals. Now how would he do it?

Everyone that is left shown great strides in becoming possible alchemists. Well, they all are still complete newbies and nowhere near of doing alchemy of any sort. Yes, they show potential but nowhere near the Amestrian potential for someone that is studying to become an alchemist. That was the reality. He must ensure they understand what is needed to understand before they even start learning the harder elements of alchemy.

For now, all of them still need to learn Latin, elements, elements when it comes with Alchemy, and so many other things... So much work to do before the breakfast the following da... breakfast. Until breakfast in a couple of short hours.

"Why did I leave this for the last minute...?"

The eight students that had gone to Amestris and rest of the Alchemy students sat around the Slytherin table, not once caring about the House Rivalries. All their friends from their respective houses came along to hear the tales of the magicless country. All thirteen Alchemy Students knew that their teacher never talked about his father, a very, very sore subject. His mother... always a soft smile but his eyes a slowly healing pain.

"...Next question."

"..."

"Did you get to see actual Alchemy done?"

"Alchemy."

"Is."

"Bloody."

"Amazing!"

"Well don't just sit there, tell us!"

"It is something you have to see it to believe it."

"You have to understand Alchemy in order to comprehend what we saw in Amestris."

"So... you aren't going to tell us then?"

"Back to your seats, the Heads are passing out the new timetables!"

Terrance Higgs, Fred Weasley, and George Weasley entered the Alchemy Classroom, whispering to themselves on the change of schedule. The three of them were already in the same class, but took the class on Tuesdays. Now they are taking it on Mondays and Fridays with the rest of the Alchemy students. Twice a week now. They wonder what their teacher has in plan for them.

"Hey Terrance, how exactly is Mr. Elric's fiancé like?"

"She's... beautiful, smart and she has Mr. Elric extremely whipped."

"I am not whipped!"

The three student's heads whip over to see their teacher glaring at the eldest of the three with a critical eye. "I am not whipped."

"I have a very long list of reasons onto why you are whipped." Terrance deadpanned, reaching into his person to pull something out.

"... Take a seat." Edward cleared his throat in an attempt to regain his composure. He went back to fixing the papers on his desk. "I am still fixing everything for class."

The Slytherin and two Gryffindor's took their seats in the front of the classroom. They took out the homework that was assigned to them during the break. The only difference for them is that the Weasley twin's packets had more work compared to the lone Slytherin. Their packets had longer explanations of what was learned by the other students that went to Amestris. The extra details for them to do their work.

"What did you guys learn over there?"

"Any type of alchemy should we know about?"

Terrance scratched his cheek, thinking on what he should and should not tell them. Then again... they are not going to act anything but amazed, wowed and envious. Well almost envious. Being chased around a forest by a bear was not something he would like to relive anytime soon.

"It was mostly compromised of survival skills. How to live without magic in cases of emergency and other stuff as such." Terrence explained. "That was when we arrived at his fiancé, Miss. Rockbell's home. Before we got there, we first arrived in Central City. We saw... a fight between two Alchemist. One using fire alchemy while the other is used his physical prowess with his alchemy. It was bloody amazing!"

"Damn..."

"We should have been there..."

"Hope there's a next time though."

"...Will there be a next time?"

"Depends if I continue teaching and if your lunacy of a government will allow it." Edward answered, not bothering to look over and continuing on with whatever he was doing.

"That if no one talks about the Bear accident."

"Bear accident?"

"Do tell."

"For me to tell you that, I have to tell you all about Mrs. Izumi Curtis... Mr. Elric's Alchemy Teacher. A woman that could strike fear into anyone with just a look." Terrence attempted to repress a shiver to no avail. "That woman is a complete and utter monster..."

"Scary..." Edward whispered out, his students not bothering to glance his way.

"Hehe...It's like this..."

"This is going to be a very long semester...again." Edward muttered under his breath as Terrence recounted the Bear Story. Oh, how much he hates that story...

End of the week, last class of the week and the first class of the semester. Edward leaned against his desk and stared at his last class of the week. It is comprised of all his thirteen students, all in one class. Unlike last semester, this time around he decided to have one class that had all his students. It was to ensure they all knew who is taking the class and to help one another. Plus, it would be easier to teach them certain subjects in one class than having to teach it four separate times.

"All of you had shown great strides in your goals of learning Alchemy." Edward announced to his class. He watched said class eyes glowed, pride evident in all their expressions. "I dare say... All of you surpass all my expectations for this school and beyond..."

"I sense a but in there..."

"The level of expectations I had originally for everyone who would have taken this class. That level of said expectations is low. Very low. I had to consider none of you knew what Alchemy is, in my county's terms, both magical and non-magical upbringings, so on and so forth. I had to take that into account and base onto what is considered average back in Amestris... Taking that into consideration... the level of expectations was low. Extremely low." Edward was not going to sugarcoat his words, this is his truth. This is the reality of things and it is remarkable at the fact there are as many students at that point of the year. They survived, but just barely. "Do not feel high and mighty. All of you exceed expectations when it comes to those terms. Compare where you are at, to a typical student that is learning Alchemy in Amestris... it is below par. Severely. I had to drill into all of you the differences and similarities between Magic and Alchemy, laws and other needed factors needed for Alchemy..."

Edward pushed himself against his desk and headed over to one of the chalkboards. "There are many other things all of you need to learn to proceed with all your learning of Alchemy. I am not going to sugar coat it... As you all know, Magic has a dark side to it. Alchemy just has a darker side to it. Proceeding forward with this class, I will be harsher and expect far more than any of you could expect from your own selves. In the world of Alchemy... one mistake could cause major injury or death. Sometimes the latter is better than the former... Yes, Edmond?"

"...Do we have to wrestle a bear? Like Mrs. Curtis? For us to further our alchemy?"

"Oh, Truth no! That is just her... She did once try to get me to kill one... Teacher had to kill it after it took my ar... Anyway...No. That is not required."

"Staying on an island without anything but a knife or the clothes on our back?"

"No."

"Fighting?"

"Depends on your form of Alchemy and how you fit it in your style."

"I meant on a surprise attack..."

"No. Anything else?"

"Could we continue on with the class?"

Edward couldn't help but grin, he reached over and flipped all the chalkboards over to reveal the other sides to reveal the sequences of Transmutation, Laws of Equivalent Exchange, and Rebound. "Seeing as none of you ran off... Let us continue on then."

Edward, Filius, and Severus sat around in a booth in the Three Broomsticks, tucked away in a corner from curious eyes. All of them had just ordered their drinks and food, now they are chatting away until their orders arrive. It was the first time since the spring semester had started the three had gotten together for a drink. It almost feels like a lifetime ago.

"A break...an honest to Truthful break..." Edward sighed, he slid deeply into his cushioned seat. He rolled his head around to work out a kink in his neck. "When is the next break again?"

"Little over a month, spring break." Filius responded he shifted in his seat which is covered in a tower of pillows to compensate for the height difference. "Are you considering another school trip to Amestris?"

"I do not know..."

"Considering how your students speak highly of your home country... would you consider it a possibility?" Severus asked with a slight raise of an eyebrow. After his students returned from Amestris, all they ever spoke about was how different it was from their own world. Not only the fact magic is completely void in said country, but how Alchemy is run in the country. Public knowledge of everything, everyone has an equal opportunity of learning the art. Well, if you could find a teacher to help with the said subject or go about it on your own. The only time they saw any sort of prejudice is when Edward has spoken about his teacher... and her hate for the State Alchemists. From what Edward, had told the Potion's Professor, that doesn't really surprise him. That and the fact the place is run by a Military, with corresponding ranks and so on, that was a given. When asked about people with power or money, all they got is a vague response of a woman dubbed the 'Ice Queen' or 'Northern Wall of Briggs'. Said women born into a family with money and Military background, made her own way into the Military and is one of the highest-ranking members of the Military and is a candidate for Führer. Whatever was said after about said woman caused both Elric brothers, by his students account, huddled together and whimpered at the memories of said 'Ice Queen'.

"Naw, the majority of the time in that week will mostly be spent on getting from point A to point B, then the actual teaching experience. Plus, it would be better if my students want to go home and speak to their parents about the trip face to face if they want to."

Filius was going to say something but the owner of the establishment came over with their foods and drinks. After asserting who ordered what and started to eat their lunch, the previous conversation all but was forgotten.

"Have you thought of continuing teaching next year?" Filius asking midway through their meal.

"More than likely depends on what my superiors say about it. Which is mostly they will have my work with the Ministry of Magic... then again..." Edward trailed off, staring into his glass of Firewhiskey. "Depends on what that idiotic Emperor and General Mustang agreed to do with me and my brother."

"What does the Emperor of Xing has to do with your brother? You never got into that." Filius asked, Edward, has once more opened about himself to him and Severus. Meaning some more of Golden Blonde's past going to be revealed without the need of forcing him to talk.

"Oh right... My brother is learning Alkahestry from the Emperor's younger sister." Edward responded he pocked at his food wondering just what he was eating. "She's a prodigy of the art and well... I think they both have crushes on each other and the idiot brother of hers is using his power to ensure he becomes related to me one way or another."

"Meaning...?"

"I bet a years' worth salary the guy is coming up away for Alphonse and Mei to marry behind the councils and elders back as we speak."

"In Xing, once you turn 13 you become eligible for marriage... in some areas, it's younger and a lot of people ignore the rule..."

Ling grin turned into a grimace, shutting his fan shut. "The moment that Mei was deemed marriageable, a flood of marriage proposals left and right. I managed to ward off the most persistent of suitors but it has been getting rather tiresome."

Alphonse crossed his arms and slid deeper into his cushion seat, a frown etched deeply into his expression. Everything that Ling had just told him wasn't new to him. Having his own share of seeing first hand of Mei's suitors. The vast majority of them are twice his own age to someone that was the same age as Pinako. Then comes in his own emotions. The Alchemist truly cares for the princess, not for what she is but for who she is as a person. After everything, they have been through, dare he say his feelings run deeper than he cares to admit. However, there are several factors that are preventing him from moving forward with said feelings. "I don't have any titles or born into any sort of royalty. The elders of the Chang Clan will have a field day if I was even considered a potential suitor."

"So... you're open to marrying my sister?"

"When she's older and if she agrees to marry me in the future."

"We both know she will say yes to you and a long-term engagement will get rid of the pressure of the council and elders."

"...You can come out now, Mei."

"Bringing my friends here? To Hogwarts? Bringing the Alchemists to the students than the other way around? Hm..."

"It would help with more students taking an interest in learning alchemy. Seeing alchemy firsthand will entice more of them to take the exam next year." Filius explain to Edward as he, Severus and Edward walked up the path leading to Hogwarts. "I already am recommending several students to take the exam next semester. Severus has a couple of his own studying already for it."

"...I am preparing them..."

"I have to talk to my superiors, the old man, and my students... This will be good for the students that did not go to Amestris..." Edward mused aloud, he shook his head at the thought though. Too much paperwork, politics, and other random things needed to be done before it could even become a reality. A very sad reality which will end with himself owing Mustang many favors. "I think it should work? I think?"

"Do you believe it would be a possibility?" Severus asked, raising an eyebrow at Edward's direction.

"Why do you guys want my friends to come here?"

"To see you suffer/To further the education of our students."

Filius and Severus glanced at each other after they finished their respected sentences. Considering the fact Filius is the one that stated he wanted to see Edward suffer, that was the Potion Master's thing. It seems Edward and Severus have finally corrupted the Charm's Professor. It was about Bloody time.

"Why does everyone like seeing me suffer...?"

"You do realize if we do this, Edward will never forgive you."

Roy hid behind a pile of paperwork, eyeing Riza inconspicuously. He grinned at the look of defeat the woman was giving him. "Naw, he's just going to hate me more is all. All I have to do is argue with him, banter here and there, everything between us is back to normal."

"Going to the actual school?" Riza asked in complete defeat. "For what?"

"Other than to see Fullmetal squirm? It actually has to do with us heading back to Magical Great Britain and continue on with our negotiations. This time though, Xing has to be part of said negotiations as they are going to be our go-between."

"Then tell me... How does this have to do with going to Hogwarts?"

"Ling wants to see how a magical work and made it a point he wants us to come along for the ride."

"You did not answer my question."

"I just want to see him suffer, is that an okay answer? Now help me write a letter to Marcoh and Scar... Please?"

Edward scanned through his list, time after time again. He would his pencil to scratch his head deep in thought. The list contained a list of Alchemist that could possibly come to Hogwarts. The Golden Blonde is taking into consideration what Filius had told him. If he is going to continue teaching here at this backward school, which is a huge possibility, then he is going to need students to teach. He needed to pique their interest in learning alchemy, in turn ensuring they are not going to end up like complete idiots in their society. There has to be change and the only way for a change it has to start from the very beginning. Now all Edward has to do now it talk to Dumbledore about the idea. Once they get into some sort of agreement, then they will proceed to contact the proper paper for it to possibly happen.

Edward glanced up from his notes to stare at the main entrance of his classroom. It was a Thursday afternoon, no one had set up to meet with him or vice-versa and none of his students were given homework that required his help. (It involved coloring, drawing shapes and other seemingly random things. Random to them.) "Come in."

Let it be said... what happened next had our main character had him bang his head against his desk repeatedly. If he could meet with Truth once more, the former Alchemist will punt him across that ever-endless blank world. Then again, Truth will see that action as it is right and will never stop teasing him about it. Apparently, someone had already thought up of the same idea... Just...

'CUUUUUUURRRRRRSSSSSSSEEEEEE YYYYYOOOOOOOUUUUUUUU, TRRRRUUUUUUUTTTTTTTHHHHHHH!'

Out in that ever-endless blank world, a toothy smile appeared seemingly out of nowhere. It began to laugh at how everything is falling out of place. What is the point of having an order without some sort of chaos? There must be chaos before anything could fall into a perfectly fitted puzzle.

Truth grin widened when it saw a something shift in his domain. That shift only lasted less than a second and it appeared that a single shift appeared to be frazzled and full of pain. Hah... it should learn it's lesson. They are not to enter Truth's domain until they are deemed worthy. Until then... Truth will continue to laugh at how much they are distorting everything that old goat is building up.

Said male is currently perched on a wooden chair, staring down at Alphonse with his typical smile. It did not bode well with the younger of the two, Ling was planning something and it appeared it was not going to be good.

"You are engaged to my sister, you are now part of the Royal family. That includes your brother and once he marries Winry, she and Pinako are included said family."

Favorite character:In most ways, Ling is probably my favorite character, but at least part of that is because of Greed? I also really love Izumi Curtis

Character I find most attractive:Not really any of them? Maybe because I’m ace, but most of the characters seem more or less the same amount of attractiveness in different ways

Character I would marry:Maybe Winry? She’s a wonderful nerd who I like seeing get excited about things, a great cook, and seems generally less prone to dramatics as a lot of other characters. Like she’s still dramatic, but I feel like it’s in far less stressful ways than most of the other characters I like

Character I would be best friends with:I’m not sure I have a lot of common interests with any of the characters, but I feel like Al would be a super cool guy to chill with

a random thought:What do you think happens to Yoki afterwards? He’s a pretty shady guy, and he doesn’t seem to have gone through a whole lot of obvious character development over the course of the anime. At the same time, he’s shown as risking himself to help others and wanting to be brave and useful on the Promised Day. Since Scar is no longer a fugitive, Yoki wouldn’t go back to following him around in the same way, but maybe he helps efforts to rebuild Ishval? Is that too much of a stretch for his character?

An unpopular opinion:You can’t convince me that Winry wasn’t supposed to be Wendy, and I honestly hate the way her name is spelled in the manga and anime and stuff

My Canon OTP:There’s not a lot of confirmed canon otps, so maybe Izumi and Sig? I enjoy seeing their relationship, though I wouldn’t necessarily seek out fanwork of them (honestly, maybe i should though. They’re both very cool)

My Non-canon OTP:I’m going to say Greedling, but I do ship it more platonically than romantically

Most Badass Character:All of them???? They’re all so incredibly badass. At the moment, I think Mustang might be the most badass though

Most Epic Villain:Wrath. That guy just does not die. Plus he’s the head of the government, which gives 

Pairing I am not a fan of:Ling and Lan Fan. I think as they are in canon, if they entered a relationship, it would be pretty unbalanced, though I’m more open to the possibility in aus. Also I like the idea of them growing up kind of like siblings when they were really young and then more distance being put in between them because of their positions in society as they grew older.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):I don’t think any of the characters were screwed up. I would have liked to see Greed with friends after his realization of his deepest desire, and I thought Sheska would be more important but then she never showed up again, but even with those, I don’t think they were “screwed up”

Favourite Friendship:I’m ridiculously fond of Mei and Scar because it’s so weird and unlikely, but somehow it works

Character I most identify with:I don’t think I really identify particularly strongly with any of them

Probably Izumi? She’s really cool, isn’t complicit in genocide or any kind of murder, she’s strong in every kind of way but can also be soft, and honestly she has her life together a lot more than many of the other characters

How I feel about this character:He’s wonderful and soft, but he’s also a lot trickier and more of a bastard than people give him credit for. I love him and want to be him when I grow up (at least the parts like running a bookstore, hanging around feeding ducks with someone you care about a lot, enjoying food, etc)

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Crowley, and I think that’s it

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: I just think he and Madam Tracy could be really good friends after the whole Apocawasn’t. They have some similarities, and I can picture them having tea once a week and chatting about their respective husbands/partners/whatever terms you want to use.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I saw a post about how Aziraphale would have to be really good with technology to do taxes on a computer in 1990, so now I see him as being secretly tech-savy

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:Hmm, for the show, I get why they wouldn’t want to do this, but it also would have been cool if we could see Aziraphale (and Crowley) having different bodies throughout history. It would have made their existence seem more separate from humanity, which makes them choosing humans over heaven and hell more powerful in my opinion, plus they wouldn’t be white the whole time. Like since the first humans were black, it makes no sense that Aziraphale’s human body from the start looks like how some humans in the future will look.

Favorite friendship for this character:I’m also going to say Crowley for this one. They just have such a great dynamic, with a certain softness and comfortableness to their interactions, plus the complement each other very well

My crossover ship:

Not a ship, but since I’m already thinking about fma, he and Sheska would get along so well, and I think being friends with Aziraphale would help Sheska grow more confident in herself

thats a-ok!! the son (v) is the baby of the bunch! hes 1 year younger than the daughter (r) and 10 years younger than the stepdaughter (c)! v was always taught to be tough and emotionless but he feels things incredibly deeply. he also loves electro swing! its his favorite music genre. r is sweet + loves art so much! she loves painting and poetry! it helps her express her feelings. and c loves helping others + animals! she becomes a cna when she gets old enough and volunteers at animal shelters!

C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.

Cloud/Tifa comes to mind. The entire love triangle thing soured me on both of Cloud’s “options” (though I like Cloud/Aeris when Zack is involved) but Tifa just seems like the worst possible choice. It saddles her with all his baggage and turns her into his keeper, and she represents for him the town that rejected him, the same one that he wore a mask to try to impress. Tifa needs an equal (Aeris or Rude are my preferences), and Cloud needs...probably to not date. For a long time, if ever. The man literally lost his identity to a space alien and her hot son. He’s not in any position for romance.

Zuko/Katara is another one I hate. I didn’t really feel like they had chemistry, and the fandom’s rationale was a little too much “healer girl can saaaaave the damaged broken woobie boy” for my tastes.

Special shoutout to Minako/Ken from Persona 3 for being gross. Why does it exist?

Ummm what else. Saya/Solomon, Usagi/Seiya, Chrom/M!Robin purely because it makes searching for Chrom/F!Robin a giant pain in the ass...

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

ahhhh I have to pick only 3? that’s hard. let’s narrow it down to WRPGs, JRPGs, and anime, just for funsies.

WRPG: Garrus Vakarian (Mass Effect). Look it takes a lot for me to fall in love with a seven foot tall cricket-dinosaur man, but Garrus is the whole package. He is IT. He’s a weird, dorky ball of mush covered in a deep-voiced badass exterior. He is confident and a little cocky, but never in an abrasive way, he knows how to step aside and let Shepard do her thing, but he’s also there supporting her every step of the way. He knows how to give advice, and how to listen -- he’s the only character in the entire series who asks about Shepard’s family and if they’re okay. He’s just GOOD, okay? And he’s hilarious, and sweet, and a nerrrrrd. He is the perfect best friend and the perfect boyfriend. Honorable mentions: the Commander herself (Mass Effect), Alistair Theirin (Dragon Age: Origins), Varric Tethras (Dragon Age 2), Yennefer of Vengerberg

JRPG: Aeris Gainsborough (Final Fantasy VII). A perfect synergy of holy maiden and slum rat, spunky and unpredictable, with no knowledge of her people but an unerring desire to do the right thing. Not afraid to have a good time, or to give someone a taste of her sharp tongue if its needed. She is incredibly amazing, and the stripping out of the slum rat half in the Compilation is something that totally breaks my heart. I love her so much??? Honorable mentions: Rose (Legend of Dragoon), Mitsuru Kirijo (Persona 3), Minako Arisato (Persona 3 Portable), Elincia (Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn), Lucina (Fire Emblem Awakening)

Anime: Izumi Curtis (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood). Holy crap she’s the best. It’s so rare to find media depictions of strong, powerful women who are also deeply feminine -- not in a performative, princess-y way, but a realistic one. Izumi is a wife, a would-be mother, a woman who is struggling not only with her fertility but her place in the world because of both her lack of it as well as her choices. But at the same time she kicks one million asses and takes all the names, she is unrepentant in her strength even as she deals with her past. It’s also really nice to see an older woman allowed to do...anything really. Honorable mentions: Olivier Mira Armstrong (FMA:B), Minako Aino (Sailor Moon), Saya Otonashi (Blood+), Haji (Blood+), Juri Arisugawa (Revolutionary Girl Utena), Yona (Akatsuki no Yona).
