Lucy Xiāo has always dreamed of becoming a celebrated artist. From a young age, Lucy would spend hours creating. With paint under their fingernails or a smudge of chalk pastel on their cheek, Lucy followed their passion all the way to New York. 'Living the dream' is what Lucy told their parents and beloved half-sister, Nicola Xiāo. The reality was a little more grim. Lucy was scraping together whatever cash they could to make rent in their studio crap-partment. Rejection after rejection might have deterred someone else but not Lucy. With unwavering determination, Lucy was not a quitter. Of course, potentially wounded pride over having to come back home might have also been motivating Lucy but whatever works! With new life, they hit the streets again, talking to anyone who'd listen about showcasing their work. Eventually, Lucy caught a break. There was going to be an exhibition to showcase new artists. This was it. Lucy had been walking home from dropping off their pieces when it happened. It all happened so fast... A robbery gone wrong, the police report would have said. Lucy was left to bleed out, stuck on the thought of there barely being anything in that bag anyways. Salvation came from the most unlikely place. Lucy could have sworn she saw a dog- a big damn dog- with black eyes before everything went dark. Julian Cordoba had their work cut out explaining to Lucy that 'yes, you are alive' and 'no, I'm being serious, werewolves exist'. The bottom line was this though: Julian saved Lucy's life. Lucy would not only survive but thrive as a werewolf. Lucy followed Julian to Havensdale to find a pack that could take care of them. They would find their family in John Salazar and Katie Salazar. Later, Jake Howell would join them too. Life was good and Lucy was happy, not knowing how fast life changes.

Lucy was heartbroken on Founder's Festival when their best friend, Katie, chose Frederick Bellefonte's side along with her sister, Taylor Salazar. Lucy misses her so much some nights, it's almost unbearable still.

When the dome came down around Havensdale, Lucy was ready to fight. The Salazar Manor would become a refuge to werewolves and other Resistance allies with Lucy doing all they can to help.

When John went missing, Jake was left holding the pack together. Lucy has always been close with him and now more than ever, Lucy acts as his shoulder to lean on.

They welcomed newer pack members Alice Wilson and Dylan McCreery with open arms. Alice had been Jake's girlfriend in high school. Jake was the one who bit her. Not intentionally but it's hard for some wounds to heal. Lucy welcomed them both with open arms.

Through all this, Lucy is most grateful to have Nicola by their side. They were both human, once and now they're werewolves. They understand that about each other like no one else can.

Triplets and twins are born on the same day and sometimes will have the same or close birth times because of c-sections like the Sturniolo Triplets. Neptune is an underrated planet when it comes to fame and not talked about much, but it represents glamour, idealization, and is also the higher octave of Venus. Small Differences in their charts that have a big impact

Nick is the only one who has a different ascendant degree than the others. His rising degree is at 7° while Matt and Chris’ rising degree is at 8°. If you aren’t familiar with degrees click here but basically 7° is a libra degree and 8° is a scorpio degree. Your rising degree can have a huge impact on your identity, personality, mannerisms, and appearance. Libra is ruled by the planet Venus which is the planet of femininity and Nick is the most feminine one out of all of them. Some say Libra placements/degrees can also be an indication of being a part of the LGBTQ+ community and from what I’ve seen in peoples charts I do personally agree that it can be an indication

Chris is the only one that has a different Midheaven degree than the others. His MC degree is at 21° while Nick and Matt’s are at 20°. This can affect the way the public views Chris a lot differently than Matt or Nick. It can also affect Chris’ purpose in his career compared to the other two

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SAM COOKE, the King of Soul and one of America’s most influential singer-songwriters, creative pioneers, and game-changers, with hit songs like “Chain Gang,” “Cupid,” “Saturday Night,” “Twisting the Night Away,” “You Send Me,” and so many more. Born in 1931, Sam had a turbulent personal life but a rich and successful career, spending years in the gospel circuit where he developed his instantly recognizable tenor. He had remarkable pitch, described as “effortlessly soulful,” going up to a high C without losing purity or volume, and with an upper mid-range coated with a unique rasp. His style was very adaptable, adopting a classical sound on jazz and pop songs while maintaining his trademark hold on R&B, gospel, and soul music. He even dabbled in country, and he may have been the first soul singer to cover Bob Dylan. Sam’s influence has been cited by singers such as James Brown, Bryan Ferry, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Paul McCartney, Johnny Nash, Steve Perry, Otis Redding, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart, and many more. 

Sam also had a significant role in the Civil Rights Movement. In 1964 he wrote the anthemic “A Change is Going to Come” after an altercation at a whites-only hotel in Louisiana. He went on to use his popularity to appeal to whites and blacks, joining a platform with his friends Muhammed Ali, Jim Brown, and Malcolm X to campaign for racial equality. 

Sam rescued the song “Wonderful World” after it was shelved by Lou Adler and Herb Alpert, who co-wrote and produced the initial recording circa 1959. Sam added a “scholastic” theme and it graduated to a big hit single in 1960. It’s been covered many times, with notable performances by Bryan Ferry, Herman’s Hermits (w/Jimmy Page on guitar), Art Garfunkel w/Paul Simon & James Taylor, Johnny Nash, Otis Redding, and others—not to mention the pivotal scene in the Amish-noir 1985 WITNESS film w/Harrison Ford. Meanwhile, HB Sam—thank you for blazing a trail with such an incredible voice.
