my perhaps unpopular opinion ive decided recently is i dont think piper and nick would get along terribly well bc piper regularly prints and distributes fear-mongering rumors that would contribute to the aggression that nick (and ellie by association) face in diamond city…. like i think nick gives piper a pass bc he can see the passion for the Truth there and bc shes young, but i think shes on thin ice. also i think it would eventually annoy him to have her come prying after a new client. lastly i think this is a weakness in piper’s writing more than anything else vis a vis Actual Journalism but i think that tension would add more depth past detective/journalist banter

teehee. this was going to be more jamil/azul focused but then i decided to leave it like this LOL. cater and jamil are two of my favorite characters, so once they both had duos with each other i was WAITING for their two cards to drop in engtwst for ages because i NEEDED that double duo. i use them all the time and it is very fun. and then when azul got his first duo with jamil in the masquerade event i ALSO waited for like a year to pounce on its eng release. and now he has a second duo with jamil! but. it is another azul card. his platinum jacket birthday ssr. jamil has yet to have one of his cards duo with azul. i think he is hiding on purpose. be strong, azul.

also, as of right now, jamil has five(5) cards that get a buddy bonus from azul. azul has two(2) that get a buddy bonus from jamil, which are the two that also duo with him. jamil is only showing up when he Has To. teehee.

this is a stretch if i've ever seen one lmao

alexa and liana weren't enemies and their relationship certainly wasn't abusive. they had a healthy relationship and cared for each other deeply. they had a fight but neither of them were purposefully being malicious or cruel to the other.

there's a lot more nuance here because they lived in poverty and lost their home to a fire, which is why alexa wanted to stay in the mansion. liana sensed that it was a trap and she wanted to help melody, but you could understand why alexa felt the way she did. she finally had a safe place to stay and didn't have to worry about their financial state.

unlike c//a where catra could have left the toxic environment they grew up in, if she really wanted to be with adora, but she chose not to and blamed adora for her decision.

there's no abuse in liana's and alexa's relationship, no toxicity. just a rough patch that they fix later on. neither of them were the villain, neither of them were deliberately cruel or sadistic. they were just two people who wanted different things and in the end, came to a compromise.
