connor hawke is my sweet baby boy but oliver queen was a more interesting character in ga88. oliver had this huuuuge well of rage and was driven forward by his own demons and the pursuit of justice. oliver's a good person but not a nice or kind one, if that makes sense. plus he's out of his mind through the whole run. connor is being driven forward by his own goodness. he's just like nice and sweet and cares a lot. i think the former is more interesting. that being said, i'll reread connor's g.a 88 run before i'll reread oliver's because connor is a pleasure to read. he activates my grandmother tendencies to protect and cherish

Green Arrow Dawn of DC

First issue starts of as generic but I'm kinda intrested

But I can't help to laugh cause everytime this guy get lost on a island no matter what lmao.

I think Green Arrow needs a better Rogue's Gallery because usually he end up with Batman's C-listers villians.

Not really a fan of Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) but there were some cool runs he was in. I think the three times I was ever intrested in him were JLU, Young Justice & Injustice.

I couldn't really care for the main character but side cast I love.

Roy harper ( Red Arrow/Arsenal/Speedy)

But I'm happy for Roy gotten to have his daughter back again. It was amazing journey to see him fight his addiction. Lian Harper is a somewhat new so I need a few more years. Cool to see her work with Catwoman.

Black Canary

I still wonder is it New52/ Rebirth Dinah Drake Lance bc she got it by marriage to Kurt Lance never understood why they made it so confusing. Maybe they went back to Dinah Laruel Lance since the Infinite Frontier/Dark Crisis aka soft reboot happened and that's everyone favorite version she was the one who is the second version of Canary as a metahuman. I'll go with "Laurel" Lance since she the version that knows Roy has a kid. I just hope we explore her side with the JSA & other bonds. Not to be too tied up in Green Arrow lore.

Connor Hawke

He's okay maybe need to reread his comic runs. Similar to Damian Wayne ( Conner was made first though I'd say Damian is a better character) but difference is, Green Arrow knew about him but was never around aka he was a shitty dad but, I kinda let it go since they reconnected.

Arrowette (Suzanne "Cissie" King-Jones)

She a legacy character her mother Bonnie King was the first Arrowette way way back in old comics "Miss Arrow" a Green arrow fangirl. She never was apart of the Arrow Family. Cissie was just apart of Young Justice & would on/off quit being a hero writers tended to leave her behind. She's pretty intresting hope to see more of her in green arrow. Hopefully she'll be more used in the animated series Young Justice next season. I think this would offically be her first time meeting him in comics.

Speedy (Mia Dearden)

I know bit of a cliche but, Mia is a fun character even if her past is sad. She had a bad childhood and somewhere down the line got Mia her trafficked into a prostitution ring. Mia tested positive for HIV, but still wanted to keep fighting and never gving up the good fight. Hope to see her more they left her behind in the years of comics. Don't know if they still have her with HIV in this countunity. New52 daughter of a crimelord but still she's a good person.

Red Arrow (Emiko Queen)

Another Diamine Wayne but more willing wants to be good. Green Arrow half-sister. I'll be honest I don't care for her. She not all the intresting compared to other characters. I'd say the one time I care for her was in Teen Titans comic runs. Her relationship with Wallace West (Kid Flash) is cute tho.

John Diggle

A character from the arrow show he was pretty cool in there so they added him in the comics.

Red Canary (Sienna)

Not much is known about her but she is a college student a fan of Black canary & took up the Canary mantle when a report said she had died. I have alot riding on her since I like Black Canary to. I also love her design.

A character I hope to see: Artemis Crock,I know she's mostly a villian back in somewhat old comics. They added her in New52 ( looks like she was going to switch sides to anit/hero) but it was trash. due to the series Young Justice & Stargirl. I love her character hoping to see her more in the comics with Green Arrow or JSA comics.

I'm really curious about 4 for the DA4 ask game!

What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?

I have what I call my Trash Fire world state, where I make (mostly) the opposite decisions of my main file.

It starts with Kieren Cousland. It's been a decade since I've played him (literally before DA:I come out, b/c I was amused when I learned what Morrigan named her son) so I don't remember all his decisions. I know he was a bit power hungry, mostly affable with his companions.

He does the good option at Redcliffe (saves Isolde and Connor) iirc, and saves the mages. He does kill the Dalish clan, and I can't remember what happens at the Alienage. I find it very difficult to justify evil decisions in DA:O b/c they sometimes go a little over the line. He crowns Harrowmont b/c he doesn't understand dwarf politics. The most important thing about him is that he romances Morrigan and marries Queen Anora. The former doesn't even seem bothered by the fact. He doesn't participate in Awakening. Loghain lives, Alistair is exiled.

Then there's Theresa Hawke. She's a warrior with the Templar specialisation, and fittingly, pro-Templar. Bethany becomes a Circle mage. She aids the Chantry against the qunari. She rivalmances Anders, which I honestly wholeheartedly recommend. It was toxic as hell, but very interesting. She convinces him to work against the mages in the finale and becomes Viscountess. I thought it was implied Anders kills himself if you do that, but in DA:I she still spoke like they were together. Which is why I killed her at Adamant.

My Inquisitor is Ruth Trevelyan. She is young, the fourthborn child of her father and was training to be a Templar when she became Herald. Ruth is ambitious in her own right, but a little... tamer than Kieren. Her choices are mostly informed by the privileged life she grew up in, not that I think that justifies them, it's just how I approached her roleplay. She allies with the Templars, recruits the Wardens, and forces the Game's finest players into a truce. She is sure in the belief that she was chosen, and ignores any evidence to the contrary.

She romances Cullen. She hates Solas so much. She also never gets Blackwall's personal quest, nor Cole's. She's very close to Vivienne, however, and makes her Divine. When the time comes, she doesn't disband the Inquisition, vowing to kill Solas and trusting Vivienne as the Inquisition's overseer.

Honourable Mentions:

Gay Worldstate: Gimli Brosca (Zevran romance, Alistair-Anora joint rule), Leland Hawke (red-toned, pro-mage, but angry about it). Would probably end with a playthrough of Thora's estranged brother, Tetrak, in a Dorian romance. I know he'd conscript the Templars and kill the Chargers (RIP) but that's about it.

Mages Having a Hard Time: Bronagh Surana (Morrigan romance, left Redcliffe for dead b/c she is 18 years old and not prepared for this), Unnamed F!Hawke (Sebastian romance, she's a mage but deeply uncomfortable with it, albeit apparently not uncomfortable enough to surrender to a Circle. I'm doing Bronagh's pt rn so this girl will come after that).

Next up: New Year's Evil #1 (2019)

I'm...not expecting a lot. Ugh I hate villain-heavy event comics.

The Amateur - Joker. There's a Joker copycat villain. Joker, annoyed, goes and tracks him down (and kills him).

Slaybells Ring - Toyman. Toyman attacks the "Annual Winter Holiday Parade" (could this name be more generic) with action figure robots of Kyle Rayner Green Lantern, Superman Electric Blue, and...I think it's the Batman Who Laughs, but design's a bit weird.

Superman gets captured, a kid tells Toyman he hates his action figures and helps break Toyman's robotics (which upsets me deeply, as Toyman shows off an excellent Connor Hawke action figure, who was non-existent in this period, I don't like this commentary), and then Superman flies away carrying the float sleigh as DC can never avoid having that panel if at all possible.

Clearly the most important part of this story is the Kord logo, which I hadn't noticed before. It's a bug!

Bright & Terrible - Sinestro. Sinestro returns to a planet that is worshipping him from a previous visit while a Green Lantern, but the high priest is stealing the offerings. This annoys Sinestro so he shows up, awes everyone, and preaches a new sermon on his philosophy.

Auld Lang Ivy - Poison Ivy. Ivy goes to a (C-List) villains bar on New Year's Eve and regards everyone else as pathetic. She ends up pheromoning Penguin, Orca and The Abacus as a New Year's good deed to help them start their New Year's resolutions. Then the Abacus hits on Ivy and she dissects him.

Winter's Root - Ares. Ares tries to peer-pressure Diana into using a sword and spill his blood (it works) as a sacrifice to Morea, who was a lover of his who he turned into a tree to punish her. Her roots have to be watered with the blood of war to keep her alive (she will not transform back until "the blood of war runs like a river for your roots").

A Coal in My Stocking - Black Adam. OOOH REAL SANTA TIME (or "Ni'klaus of Myra"). Black Adam is talking to a kid called Antalya in Kahndaq, who was an orphan in New York and now misses Santa and wonders if he'll make it to Kahndaq to deliver presents. Black Adam goes to bully this 'Wizard', Ni'klaus of Myra, and demand he deliver presents to all the children of Kahndaq this year...and he'll take coal if necessary in exchange.

New Year, New You - Calendar Man. Calendar Man manipulates the new psychiatrist at Arkham into getting the inmates to turn over New Year's Resolutions in a way that starts a riot. When he tries to escape? Batman turns up and punches him in the face.

Father Christmas - Chronos. Chronos desperately tries to make his father be a good dad and bring him a Christmas present as a kid, to try and avert his growing up to be a villain. It doesn't work.

...And a Prankster New Year! - Prankster. Prankster arranges an end of year party for his employees.

Little Christmas Tree - Harley Quinn. As a thank you for getting Harley released as she was incorrectly arrested, Harley harasses Renee Montoya, who is very much wanting to just quietly miss Kate Kane in private. Hello!

I've never really been good at introductions, forgive me if this is wordy or hard to read.

I go by many names, but you can call me Alyx, Blair, or Spencer. I'm transmasculine and genderfluid (he/she/it), plus I'm aroaceflux and bi. I'm 16.

I have diagnosed AuDHD, PTSD, Chronic Depressive Disorder and Agoraphobia (plus anemia and migraine disorder), however I suspect I also have BPD and OCD.

NFC WEST🏈🏉 BREAKDOWN

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals started hot but fizzled out quickly.

Harrison Jr (aside week 2 explosion) has been a rookie growing pains for fantasy.

Connor has been wildly inconsistent.

Kyler himself had been hemming and hawing with Dortch and Michael Wilson instead of targeting the franchise high draft pick.

TE McBride has only just come on lately but that's partly due to this TE enigma trend plaguing the league

Prater was hurt but has been servicable...mostly.

And the defense, not even worth mentioning smh.

The Seahawks have been competitive. Geno for one had probably been the most reliable and consistent QB in fantasy.

Metcalf has been hot & cold but mostly usable. JSN has shown flashes but really has surpassed Lockett.

TEs aren't worth writing home about. Streamers at best.

The darling of the season of the Hawks is Walker. When healthy, he has been the fantasy stud. Zach C. Has been amazing as a handcuff can be producing about the same when Walker is out.

Kicker Myers has been decent.

Defense tho... matchup dependent.

Rams have had it bad. Kupp goes down in week2 and Puka not so long after. This has made Stafford fall in reliability.

TEs aren't matchup dependent and defense is laughable.

We saw a glimpse of the fire power in TNF when the WRs returned in the early week 8 matchup.

Kyrein has being the fantasy darling as he never fails to score in each game

Purdy hasn't looked pretty as of late. The situation worsened when (in the same game) Aiyuk and Deebo went down. Jennings was a waiver wire warrior for fantasy teams. Moody getting hurt sucks. His replacement has missed a few fgs smh. Kittle surprisingly has been one of the top TEs *not just by name*. The CMC injury put teams in a tails pin unless they had or acquired Mason. Mason has been a steal for teams. The defense can be up & down - more so than past seasons. Aiyuk was a disappointment.

1. What was the first Dragon Age game you played?

Dragon Age Origins! So started from the very beginning ^^ I learned about Dragon Age from a friend maybe 6-7 years ago and starting from the first game seemed logical when jumping into a new series.

4. What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?

Summarizing some of the main plot points from each game:

- Warden, Tiadres Amell, is a human mage and alive & well

- Romanced Alistair, who is the King of Ferelden. Tia is his mistress.

- Recruited all companions (base game and DLC) and they are alive & well

- ... except for Loghain, who was executed at the Landsmeet

- Helped Redcliffe fight, Connor is alive and not possessed

- Supported mages, did not agree to Cullen's "request" (very diplomatically worded in the Keep, considering what he was suggesting asjfgj) and Irving is alive and well.

- Brokered peace between the elves and the werewolves

- Defeated Branka, Bhelen is the King of Orzammar. Dagna left to study and thus was the Arcanist in DAI.

- Found the Urn of Sacred Ashes, did not defile it

- Tia agreed to Morrigan's suggestion and convinced Alistair to go along with it, and thus Alistair had old god baby with Morrigan.

- ... and thanks to that dark ritual, Tia defeated the Archdemon without perishing herself.

- Protected both Amaranthine and Vigil's Keep

- Killed the Architect

- Champion, Cadriel Hawke, is a mage and alive & well

- She romanced Anders, who is also very much alive & well

- Recruited and befriended all companions, even Sebastian although Cadriel didn't really understand why he'd wanna hang out with the rest of the gang 😂. Everyone is also alive and well, except maybe Sebastian who is alive but maybe not so well or at least not happy with how things turned out. Also everyone besides him stayed with Cadriel.

- Bethany died in the prologue 😔

- Carver became a Grey Warden, Isabela returned with the tome and was not given to the Arishok, Aveline married Donnic, Merrill did not destroy the Eluvian and her clan is alive, helped Tallis.

- Killed the Arishok in duel

- Approved of Anders' actions at the chantry

- Sided with the mages

- In Legacy, sided with Larius and found Malcom's will

- The Inquisitor, Anwen Lavellan, is an elf mage and alive & well.

- She romanced Josephine (and Harding, although Dragon Age Keep does not acknowledge that at all).

- Recruited and befriended all companions

- ... except it's a bit more complicated with Vivienne. They started with very low approval as they saw the mage matters from two very different points of view, but eventually got along much better. Anwen gave Vivienne the real snowy wyvern heart, but as her approval apparently never got quite high enough, there's this funny thing in the Keep where I had to manually assign them to friends because the Keep thought that since they were never friends, Inky also didn't give her the real heart. So I fixed it by selecting the friend and the real heart tiles.

- Dorian reconciled with his father and left to Tevinter to change things, Blackwall left prison as Grey Warden, Iron Bull is Tal-Vashot, Cassandra discovered the book and rebuilt the Seekers, Sera killed Hammond, Solas freed his friend, Cole is more spirit, Varric tracked the red lyrium source.

- Leliana was inspired, encouraged Cullen to stop taking lyrium, did favors for Du Paraquettes to solve Josephine's problem

- Samson was Anwen's nemesis (this is funny in the sense that I never felt like he was some big nemesis for my character, then I saw the tile in the Keep and was like whaat ^^") More than that I felt sorry for him, it would have actually been interesting from story point of view to have him be the Commander of Inquisition's forces instead of Cullen. Learned about Samson's armor and destroyed it.

- Anwen denied being chosen by Andraste, declared for order and stability, was a recruiting judge

- Went to Redcliffe and allied with the mages

- Grey Wardens rebuilt, Stroud was killed in the Fade

- Celene and Briala reconciled, Florianne is alive

- Anwen drank from the well, respected the temple traditions and allied with the guardians.

- Leliana became Divine Victoria

- Sutherland's company was successful

- Did the exploration stuff

- Discovered and met Ameridan, shared the truth

- The dragon was slain, earned legend-mark from the Avvar

- In Descent, saved the mines and stopped earthquakes

- Bull remained loyal, disbanded the Inquisitioon, stop Solas at all costs

6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?

I actually just talked about that in here! So I have a pretty solid plan forming for my Rook, Konstantin, who will be a mage (I really love playing mages ^^"), necromancer (I think the specialization is called "Death Caller" or something?) and a Grey Warden, and he will romance Harding. I'm certain that I will create more Rooks too (and hc them to be companions to my canon Rook, like I've done with many other Dragon Age ocs who are companions to my canon heroes even though I've also played the games as them) but I don't yet have any specific ideas regarding them.

7. Which character from the previous games or other media are you most hoping will make an appearance in DAV?

The Inquisitor is confirmed so I'm looking forward to that. Josephine would be great especially since Anwen romanced her, maybe we could get some dialogue about how they're doing and see them interact with each other. Merrill would be cool especially since she would certainly have a lot to say about the situation at hand, she could even be a good advisor on Eluvians and Elven lore. Maevaris Tilani, Zevran, Fenris, Krem, Bodhain and Sandal also come to mind, and many others certainly too.

8. What faction are you most excited to learn about?

I really love Grey Wardens but since they've been much involved in every game, I'm not sure how much new we're going to learn about them. Probably mostly something about what's been going on in Weisshaupt recently. Antivan Crows I'd really love to learn more about, and the Mourn Watch. And the Veil Jumpers seem really exciting as well!

9. Which romance, if any, do you plan to pursue first?

Harding! When we first saw reveals about the companions I was all heart-eyes at Taash (and still am, I am weak for big, strong ladies) but when I heard that Harding is in DAV and a full companion and romance option, I knew I'm going to pursue her first. My inky has a non-monogamous arrangement where she's in a relationship with Josie but also dating Harding more casually, so Harding is available for Rook even though she has a pre-existing love interest.

10. Which location are you most excited/hoping to explore in-game?

Based on the trailer, Minrathous seems very exciting. I actually like that they went for a more futuristic style with it because it is a city ruled by mages with a sense for dramatism, so of course it's gonna be like from a different world. I'm also excited for Arlathan forest, I'm expecting it's going to be a more classic fantasy location with bunch of magical stuff.

13. What's one thing you've seen confirmed so far that you're a fan of?

Harding obviously, and the rest of the companions seem very cool too and I love that they're romanceable (and pansexual too, which gives more freedom in designing characters to romance them). I know this is already another thing, but the character creator sounds amazing too and like a huge upgrade from DAI. I love that there will be an option to be non-binary, and that character creator options aren't limited to gender. Sounds like we'll have a lot freedom in making our characters, which is awesome.

Chapter Four: Lojong (cleansing of attitudes)

“Dinah, I haven’t even—. I haven’t told Roy about Connor. I haven’t told Connor about Roy-. This—.”

“How long have you known about your son?” Dinah interrupted.

“The whole time… I knew the entire time,” I confessed. Dinah leaned forward, hiding her face in her palms as she sighed and cursed. “And how do I explain it to Connor? It’s not like I planned on Roy. It’s not like I planned either of them.” 

Dinah scoffed. “Yeah. Poor you. Poor, Ollie. Roy and Connor just happened to you. You didn’t ask to be a parent. So, why should anyone expect you to act like one?” Dinah asked. I scratched the back of my neck. “You’re not a kid anymore, Ollie. You’re a grown man with a family. You’ve got two sons, and you need to start acting like it. Stop being so damn selfish.” 

She stood up to leave, and I grabbed her wrist. “Don’t leave angry—.” 

“Ollie, I gotta go. Let go of my arm,” Dinah warned me. I let go and watched her leave. I tried not to dwell on it, but it ate at me. I returned to Connor’s room and sat beside him on his mattress. He woke up shivering and lay on my lap.  

“Connor, I um—. I have another kid. He’s around your age and out with his friends for the summer,” I took a breath, “His name is Roy Harper. He um—. I adopted him about a year ago.”  

Connor rolled off my lap and turned, facing the wall. “You never wanted me—.”

“Connor, that’s—. I didn’t even ask—. Roy didn’t have anyone else, and I made his father—. His other adoptive father a promise that I’d look after him—.” 

“You didn’t tell me before because you knew I’d feel rejected. I’m upset, but I have to forgive you. I’ll feel better if I forgive you, but I don’t know how you’ll feel,” Connor replied, “Something is holding you back. I don’t know what it is, but you’re hurting the people around you. So, that has to come from a place of pain or fear. You aren’t bad, but you make yourself seem that way.” 

I couldn’t be angry with him because of his gentle sincerity. “I’m so sorry, Connor. Do you want me to be honest with you?” I questioned. I wanted him to look at me. My pride wouldn’t allow me to let Connor give up on me. I didn’t want to be a lost cause. 

Connor made a soft noise. “Okay,” Connor replied.

“I didn’t know what I’d do with a kid… And you weren’t just a kid. You were a baby, Connor. To be fair, I’m not convinced that I know what I’m doing with Roy. I thought you’d be better off with one good parent than a—. Well… With me,” I confessed, “I wanted you to have a fair shake at being normal… And I didn’t want to be responsible for—. I didn’t want to be responsible.”

“Why did you come this time? If you didn’t want—.” 

“I was curious. I wanted to know how it would feel to see you,” I interrupted. 

It was so tense in the room. I couldn’t bear to be there, but I stayed. Connor stared at me with his sweet green eyes. “Do you regret seeing me?” Connor asked.

I swallowed hard. “Yes, because—. Because I enjoy your company. We’re nothing alike, but I like you so much. And I don’t know what to do with that. I never imagined we’d get along so well, and I’m so sorry, Connor. I’m sorry that I didn’t explain this to you earlier. I’m sorry that I wasn’t—. I’m sorry for everything. I don’t know if you should forgive me. Hell, I wouldn’t—. I wouldn’t forgive me,” I stammered. 

“You’re right,” Connor whispered, “We aren’t alike.” And then he grabbed the bottom of my shirt and shut his eyes. “Dad, I’m cold.”  

I sniffed as tears welled up in my eyes. I couldn’t stop them once they were there. They kept coming, streaming down my face as I pulled the quilt over Connor’s shoulders. “I can get you another blanket,” I offered. 

“No, thank you. I’d like it better if you stayed… And Dad? Thank you for not saying it,” Connor whispered. I scrunched down until I lay beside him, silently waiting for him to explain. 

When he didn’t, I cleared my throat to conceal my tears. “Not saying what?” I asked. 

“You didn’t want mom to have me,” Connor replied. I inhaled through my nose. 

It’s funny. I had all sorts of horrible apprehensive thoughts when it came to being a parent, but not once had I wished he didn’t exist. I didn’t regret that. I regretted the circumstances, and I hated the person I was and feared parenthood in every aspect, but I never thought for a second that he shouldn’t be born. In fact… I thought there should be more people like him. Gentle people in a harsh world.

I wanted to seem standoffish, but he hit my heart. It was like he knew where to aim in his search for the truth. Bullseye. “That’s the furthest thing from the truth,” I mumbled. Connor sat up and looked at me.  

“You’re crying… Did I say something—?”  

“It’s alright. I’m alright. I just—. I’m glad you’re here, Connor. It’s been weird so far and painfully awkward, but I needed this. I needed you here with me this summer,” I mumbled. 

“Thank you for coming to get me. You didn’t have to. Mom would’ve come if you insisted on staying away from me. I think your curiosity and kindness are the same,” Connor whispered. I smiled. 

“I can be better than this, you know… I wanna do better, and I want you to tell me when I suck at this,” I replied, “Do we have a deal?”  

“Can I meet Roy?” Connor asked.  

“Um… Sure, but you’ll have to give me time to explain it to Roy,” I replied, “His trip with his friends is almost over with. Give me a day or two.” 

“Okay. Are you going to stay after I fall asleep?” Connor questioned. 

“Uh-huh. I’m not going anywhere,” I whispered. I shut my eyes and wiped my face as I tried to get some shut-eye. I stirred once the phone rang. 

“Hello?” I answered.

“How’s Connor?” Sandra asked. 

“Um… Connor is—. He has a fever, but other than that, he’s okay. He’s sleeping,” I replied. I heard Sandra sigh over the phone. I wasn’t sure if she was angry or relieved. 

“Do you want me to come and get him?” Sandra asked.

“No. I need to see this through for the summer, at least. I wanna spend some time with him. Does he know how to ride a bike?” I asked. 

“Yeah… Oliver, I—. I’ll have some time off in July. Do you mind if I come and see him?” Sandra asked. 

“He’s your son too… And I think—. Connor’d be happy to see you,” I replied, “I’ll give him a kiss for you.” 

“Thanks, Ollie,” Sandra smiled. 

“No problem,” I whispered. She said goodbye and hung up. Connor mumbled something. “What was that?” 

“Who was that?” Connor replied. 

“Your mom wanted to know how you were doing. Do you feel better?” I asked as I felt his forehead. Connor grabbed my wrist. 

“Are you going to send me away?” Connor asked.

“Nope. You’re stuck with me for the summer,” I answered. Connor smiled and shut his eyes. He slept until lunchtime.
