Dear Lady L., How I aches for the gentleness of Armorica as I find myself trapped in the intricate web of courtly and royal obligations. Since the wedding's conclusion, the solemn duty of court has begun, ushering in a world of politics that is both captivating and treacherous. My experiences at court have been far from gracious. Despite my rank as the Crown Princess, there are those who refuse to acknowledge my presence, dismissively averting their gazes as I pass by. Many of the ladies, whose apartments I ought to be welcomed into as a matter of decorum, conveniently overlook extending invitations. It is a disheartening situation, for my education, my age, and my political acumen seem to breed jealousy and spite among them. The Duchess of [REDACTED], Lady [REDACTED], and the Duchess of [REDACTED] are among the main culprits in this disdainful display.

In such circumstances, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the love and support of my husband, my handsome Willy. He stands as a pillar of strength and support. Seeing my struggles, he endeavors to improve my condition in any way he can. He delights in showering me with jewels, a small respite from the trials I face. He is truly my rock, granting me a level of independence rarely afforded to ladies of my station. He ensures that I have agency over managing part of my dowry and affairs. This only serves to further fuel the disdain of the ladies at court, who despise any woman that dares to defy the norms of royal court. The challenges I face in this foreign land are abundant, stretching far beyond the mere discomfort of unfamiliarity. I am grappling with the language barrier, feeling like a solitary island amidst a vast sea of foreign words, striving to grasp the intricacies of conversations that swirl around me. Though my ladies-in-waiting provide a semblance of companionship within the confines of my apartments, their kindness is often veiled, hidden from the prying eyes of their Vernick born friends and family. In these moments, I am acutely aware that I am but a guest in their world, a seemingly perpetual outsider despite my elevated status and father's patronage. This is but the beginning of my journey in Vernick, a path that seems daunting and treacherous. However, I will not allow the challenges faced at court to dim my spirit. Within me resides the resilient heart of a princess, determined to carve a place of belonging against all odds. With my Willy steadfastly by my side, I know that I can face any challenge with unwavering resolve. He is my guiding light, finding ways to sprinkle joy into the tapestry of my existence. Background:

Her mother took off right after she was born. Emerson has always felt like it was her fault for her mothers departure. Her father also wasn’t in her life due to being in rehab. Was raised by her grandparents and her brother. 

Is forever grateful to her grandparents for raising her even though Emerson was not their responsibility or blood. She also appreciates everything her brother has done for her.

Growing up she had an irrational fear that her grandparents would give her away with one wrong move. Due to the fear she tried to be perfect at anything and everything, which lead to a lot of private breakdowns. As an adult she’s still a perfectionist when it comes to certain things but has improved from her teen years.

Thought her mother would come back at one point in her life. Due to this she wanted to be a bioarcheologist. After she realized that wasn’t happening she convinced herself that’s still something she wanted a career in. 

Went to college in New York City. At the end of her freshman year she fessed up to herself she had no interest in being a bioarchelogist. However during her freshman year she has started writing a book in her spare time just for fun. She then switched her major to English.  

She graduated college and from there she decided to stay in New York. After many different drafts and revisions the book she had written while in school was published. 

Emerson is a multiple New York Best Selling Author.  She writes under a false name. Has written a few different books over the years. Is most known for her fantasy series (Similar to A Court Of Thorns and Roses)

When she was Twenty Three she wanted a different environment so she moved to LA. During her first week there she met a boy named Leonardo.

Leonardo was the perfect guy, adored Emerson to the moon and back. They moved in together and everything was going well until Leo purposed. Emerson declined and made some self realizations. Emerson quickly packed a small bag, rented a house out in her hometown, grabbed her dog and was on the first flight back home.

I will be writing a full bio this week and will add it here. I just wanted to post a little something to introduce Emerson and to plot with everyone!

TRIP TO SAMAL ISLAND (IGACOS)

Hi there!  It was relaxing to be on a trip again.  It was kind of exhausting though especially a one-day trip, leaving early in the morning and getting home late at night.  Notwithstanding exhaustion, my love for travelling and car-riding was invaluable. 

My latest trip was in Samal Island, known now as IGACOS (Island Garden City of Samal), politically named by former President Fidel V. Ramos.  Samal is my Mom’s hometown.

Samal Island has plains and hills. There are even areas near the coast which are hilly which make the resorts even more attractive due to their overlooking views. 

It was last April 15, 2024, Monday, when we went to IGACOS.  It was Lola Corning’s birthday, my late maternal grandmother.  There were only Mom and I from Kidapawan to Davao City. 

We just fetched Tita Charing, Mom’s older sister, at Boulevard, Davao City.  So, from there, we drove to Samal Ferry Wharf at Sasa to get aboard the ferry boat for Samal.  The ferry-boat ride still amazed me despite having experienced it several times.  Anyway, upon our arrival in Samal, my two other Titas met us there, Tita Inday and Tita Belen with her husband Tito Jojo.  In this trip, we took the road leading to Barangay Limao where we passed the high-end resorts.  Honestly, that was the first time we passed that road and saw in passing the grand and expensive resorts with overlooking views, and, we realized it was the practical way from the ferry wharf to the memorial park where Lola Corning and Three of my Uncles were buried.

               The reason of that trip was actually to commemorate the passing of my Lola Corning and uncles.  At the cemetery, they offered prayers, lit candles and brought flowers.  From the cemetery, we went to a restaurant facing the City Hall where we had lunch and met some of my cousins.  After lunch, we left and went to Tita Inday’s house.  There, Mom and her sisters bonded for just about two hours, just talking and laughing about anything.  It was almost five in the afternoon when we left Samal.  Before leaving Davao City, we had dinner at Mang Inasal at Bajada, facing Villa Victoria Plaza, with Nicu, one of my sisters, who we contacted to have dinner with us.  After dinner, we dropped Nicu at her dormitory, then Tita Charing at Boulevard.  Mom and I made four stops along the way either because she had foot cramps or too sleepy to drive.  It was almost midnight when we reached home.  It was after all a happy and safe trip.

Fuente: CADA De acuerdo a las previsiones y luego de finalizados los GPS de Concepción del Uruguay, la comisión Técnica de la Confederación Argentina de Atletismo propuso la integración del equipo para el Campeonato Sudamericano de Mayores, a concretarse en el Estadio de Atletismo del Centro Olímpico de Sao Pablo, los días 28, 29 y 30 de julio. Teniendo en cuenta que los campeonatos sudamericanos se disputan por equipo, se ha seleccionado aquellos atletas que reúnen las condiciones para poder alcanzar puestos puntuables, haciéndose énfasis en la integración de la totalidad de las pruebas de relevos Están previstos periodos de preparación en Europa en algunos casos, de entrenamiento de altura en Cachi y de entrenamiento de los relevos en otros casos. Entre los atletas que ya se encuentran entrenando en Italia figuran Germán Chiaraviglio y los velocistas Franco Florio y Elián Larregina, mientras un grupo de mediofondistas y fondistas –entre ellos Florencia y Mariana Borelli, Fedra Luna, Daiana Ocampo y José Zabala- lo hacen en España. Todos los atletas involucrados en el equipo al sudamericano, además de los atletas de maratón se encuentran afectado sal proceso de clasificación para los Juegos Panamericano de Santiago de Chile. El proceso finaliza el día domingo 17 de septiembre, y se basa en el posicionamiento en el Ranking Panamericano y de acuerdo a los cupos asignados en cada prueba. Esta cita sudamericana además de la importancia en sí mismo, es una oportunidad más para el mejoramiento de la posición en el ranking panamericano. Se recuerda que los campeones de área podrán ser admitidos en el Campeonato Mundial de Budapest, a criterio del Delegado Técnico.
